Chapter 1: The Death of a Hero.
Hi my name is Percy and I live in a world full of magical creatures and gods. I know I know it is a bit weird to start off with something so out there but listen you do not know what my life is all about. I have been having some fairly odd encounters as I have been going through my life but such is what a demigod has to deal with on the come up. But let's not focus too much on the past and focus on what is happening currently. I have just saved the world and become one of the most renowned heroes of all the land. So you could say I am riding a high right now but that is not what I am talking about at present. As I have just slain Kronos, his essence headed over to me and absorbed into me making time slow down as I stood there confused. I wait as I hear a voice I had never heard before. It was a very soft spoken yet eccentric female voice. The mysterious voice slowly started to speak as I felt her presence just behind me.
"Why hello there Percy Jackson. You seem a lot more attractive than what my mother had said. My name is Nyx, the primordial of night. I have come to give you a warning, as per my mother's request. You will die as soon as this pocket of time disperses. When that occurs I will be here to save you and take you to where you can meet my mother. She will be able to explain everything that is going to happen going forward but you need to trust me."
I have my doubts about what this lady is even talking about. I had just slain the main problem to the gods that could possibly kill me at this point. With an air of intrigue I cautiously ask. "Can I possibly know what it is that will kill me?" I can feel the shadows bending around behind me as it feels like time is starting to come back to normal speed. "There is no time for that Percy, my mother will explain it all just prepare yourself because what you are about to face is like nothing you could have ever imagined. When it happens just say Chaos to accept your fate."
As the dark presence leaves time slowly starts to turn normal. I was standing there with my blade in my hand as I heard a small yelp as Annabeth ran towards me. She had tears in her eyes as she tackled me in a hug. I rubbed the top of her head as I smiled believing that what Nyx had said to me was nothing but a joke. I pulled her closer as I whispered. "We actually did it, we actually managed to defeat Kronos and save the gods." Annabeth sobbed a bit more as she looked up at my face and just wiped her tears out of her eyes. She pulled me into a tight hug as I could feel her tugging a bit at my back, seemingly wanting to expose my back. I could feel a small smile creep onto her face as she slowly spoke into my ear. "Yes, yes we did. But this is where the road ends for you Percy. Do it now Jason."
To say I was shocked was an understatement. I heard Annabeth yell the name Jason out as a piercing feeling shoots through my back and I see blood starting to trickle down the front of my shirt. I feel a burst of blood come out of my mouth as it falls in front of me and Annabeth but it looks odd. It is a shimmering silver color as I fall forward and look up seeing a young man in a purple shirt. His short military cut blonde hair made him look extra stoic as he wiped the edge of the golden sword looking at Annabeth and smiling. "Well well well. It seems like your theory was correct sweetheart. It seems something was inside Percy. Good thing you had me and my father's help to come up with such a good plan to get rid of the both of them. Now grandpa Kronos and Percy won't be in our way." He walked up to her and kissed her passionately as he stared at my body. I was leaking more and more silver blood as I felt my life leave me. Achilles curse washes away as I have almost no energy left. I mustered up all my strength that I had left and slowly cursed under my breath as I looked up to the two unsuspecting people as I whispered in my dying breath. "You two will pay for what you have done to me. I promise to bring Chaos to you all."
As soon as those words left my mouth the entire room was surrounded in darkness as I felt the last of my life leave, but not before some gentle hands scooped me up and guided me to what I felt like would be my eternal resting place.
AN: And there it is the first chapter of the rewrite. I am looking forward to fleshing out the story a lot more and adding some more concepts I have been wanting. As always this has been Suichi7 signing off.
