The grocery store parking lot was where Avrail was when she heard the cashier Celina say that they were going to make a few announcements. Celina was outside in front of the grocery store. A man was standing beside her. Avrail was in the store 15 minutes before she was in the parking lot. She was holding Terran and waiting in line, when two vampires attacked two women that were shopping. There was blood everywhere after the attack. The attackers left soon after the attack ended. The man clapped his hands a few times, then said that he believes that the attackers that were in the store were vampires. He went on to say that they had fangs and their faces were scrunched up. He then said that the ambulance should be there soon, and he was going to explain to the authorities that he saw a vampire. The ambulance pulled after he finished that statement. After getting the women in the ambulance, the man turned to the crowd and asked what everyone saw. There was 20 people standing outside and all of them agreed that it was a vampire's. The ambulance assistant said he would make a note of their accusations, but he wanted them to look at other answers to what happened.
Avrail was on her way to the forks sporting store. Mike was working that day and she was going to see him after shopping. When she pulled into the parking lot, there was cars in the parking lot. Mike must have had a busy day that day. Avrail got Terran out of his seat and walked to the entrance of the stote. Mike was at the front counter, counting the stop watches in the jar up front. When Mike saw Avrail he said that he was going to order more of the watches because he sold 8 on that day. Avrail asked if anyone said anything about the grocery store. Mike said no he hadn't heard anything. Avrail then told him that there was an attack at the grocery store and people were starting to become aware of vampires. Mike asked how Terran was, and Avrail said he was good.
Later that night, Avrail was at home and her phone rang. Eda was on the phone. Eda said that she heard about the attack in town, and the town was going to hold a meeting that week. Avrail told Eda that she might attend and she would call her to confirm later that week.
Avrail put the toilet seat down after she had finished seeing her dinner in the water. She was 16 weeks pregnant and not showing too much. She had went to the doctors 8 weeks ago and he had given her the news. MIke was at the store when she gave him the news. Mike had finished checking out a gentleman with a cart full of bows and arrows. Avrail said she was in town and she was bringing good news back. He was excited to be having a new baby again.
Avrail was at the cash register the next day. The forks store door opened and a woman came in. She was pointing to a crowd outside and a crowd had gathered around a vampire attacking a man. A few men had joined in the fight and had stumbled away. Aman came over with a barrel of gasoline and dumped it on the vampire. Theman was burning for a few minutes and died. Someone put out the fire and looked at the body. A couple other men came to look and they announced that it was a vampire. The man pointed to the fangs on the vampire. Avrail knew that this would add to the town's preparation for vampires.
When Avrail and Mike arrived home later that night there was a flyer on the door. Avrail took the flyer off of the door and read it. It stated that a town meeting was the next day, and it included 4 separate attacks on the town residence. Avrail sat the flyer on the table. She asked Mike if he heard of the other two attacks. One was at the pharmacy and the other at the bed and breakfast that was in town. Mike said that he hadn't heard of them. Avrail told him that she wanted to go to the meeting and see what the town was going to announce. Mike said he'd like to go too.
Later that night Avrail was watching Terran sleep in his crib. Mike was in the bathroom. She wondered what she was going to name the baby. They had found out it was a boy, she had been at the doctor at her 16 week checkup and he had told her after her scan that the baby was going to be a boy. She thought that she wanted to name him Tedra or maybe Tarkin. Mike came out of the bathroom and sat next to Avrail on the bed. Avrial snuggled up next to him, and turned to the television show that was on. The movie that was playing was about a couple who had to move across the county. They were starting at the Carolinas and moving to Nevada.
It was later in the evening that Avrail was at the community meeting. There were about 70 people there and all of them checked on the guest list that they were present during the attacks. The meeting started and the lady at the front said that there had been many witnesses in this weeks attacks. The man next to said that his brother who worked at the hospital had examined the samples. The samples according to the man was not human and the vampire had started to decompose on the table. He said that they wanted everyone to be aware that the suggestions the made could be a wrong assumption. The meeting continued with 10 people telling 2 stories about what happened on the day of the attacks. The meeting concluded with careful measures that everyone should take.
Avrial was in bed that night next to MIke. She knew that the town was starting new on the subject of vampires. She wanted to give them enough space to form their own opinion, but she also thought it would be nice to share the vampire secret. She snuggled into Mike and fell asleep, dreaming of her future.
