I woke up feeling a little easier as I got dressed in a black torn long sleeve and black jeans with my combat boots. Lydia picks me up and looks freaked out. After parking, we get out and she speaks finally out of her tranced state of thought.

" I saw a town. A festival is going on. A carousel, it was so real." She said as we walked into school.

" We should find Malia." I say as I waved my phone and texted her, she replied that she was in the library. We sat down and Lydia explained what she saw.

" You saw a carousel?" Malia asked, confused.

" And a big sign that said "Canaan," and people disappearing in clouds of smoke." She says as she still seemed freaked out.

" Do you ever have nice dreams?" Malia asked her.

" We need to go to Canaan." Lydia said as I smirked. Malia brought out a map.

" It would be helpful if we knew anything about the place. I keep calling the number for City Hall, and no one answers. The only map I can find it on is thirty years old. So far, the only thing I know about Canaan is where it is." She tells us as I saw Lydia get up. I followed suit.

" That's all we need to know." She replied before we all went to the office to be clocked out for the day. Scott met up with us and we piled into Malia's car. Malia drives for a while as I am in the back seat. I passed out for a bit before the car stopped and woke me up.

" Where are we?" Scott asked as he woke up as well.

" According to the GPS, this is it." Malia says as I look outside. We got out and saw no one, no sign of life.

" This is it. Canaan's a ghost town." Lydia says as I get the creeps.

" Not freaky at fucking all." I say as I hear crows. We walked the roads.

" I don't hear a single heartbeat." Scott says as we see destruction.

" I'm not catching any scents..." Malia tells us as Scott spoke up.

" I wonder why Stiles would send us here?" Scott asked as I toyed with my necklace. I see everything's torn apart before Scott starts up a decrepit carousel.

" Fucking ghost towns." I say as I calm my nerves. I swear I saw my mom and dad.

" Not real, not fucking real." I say grabbing my head.

" Come with us honey." Dad says reaching out.

" Fuck no." I say with a growl.

" It's okay. They're not here." Lydia says as she grabs my hand to ease my head. We saw Scott coming out of the house, we followed and saw him looking panicked, we calmed him down and found Malia.

" I saw her... And her head... looked like somebody took a bite out of her skull..." Scott said as Lydia shake her head.

" The energy here, it's causing hallucinations. We can't stay here." Lydia says as we make our way back to the street.

" We can't leave- not until we figure out why Stiles sent us here." Scott tells her.

" I second that." I told her as I was determined to find out why we were here in the first place.

" Who are we going to ask? There's no one here." Lydia says as I see a boy wandering the streets.

" We can ask him." Malia points out.

" Hey!" Scott called out as Lydia looked very perplexed by all of this.

" What do we do?" Lydia asked as the boy ran away.

" We follow him." I say as we run after him. We see him walk up it and go inside. We head in ourselves and it's furnished before strutting inside.

" Hello? Anybody here?" Lydia called out. An old woman comes out.

" Visitors? I can't believe we have visitors! Oh, Caleb will be so happy to see you. It's been such a long time since he's had anyone to play with." She says excitedly.

" Oh, you must be thirsty! Come on in and have a seat while I get you something to drink." She tells us as we head inside and sit down.

" Seriously? What is with her?" Malia asked as Lydia spoke quietly.

" She's the woman I saw in the mirror..." Lydia replied before we waited for the woman to come back.

" This was my mother's lemonade recipe... At least, as much as I can remember. We always served this when we had friends to visit." The woman says with a smile. She hands me a glass and I'm slightly disgusted by it.

" We didn't come to visit. We're looking for someone." Malia says slightly annoyed.

" A friend of ours. Maybe you've seen him? His name is Stiles." Scott answers as I put my glass down. No thank you.

" It's been a while since anyone came through Canaan... How long?" The woman asked.

" Since April 8th, 1987?" Malia says as the woman's face turns cold.

" Why would you disturb those things? They don't belong to you." She asked as if angered and in pain.

" We need to know what happened." Scott asked her.

" There was a picnic, a community party." The woman replied, still sounding agitated.

" It seems like everyone left in a hurry..." Malia asked the woman calmly.

" People have been leaving Canaan for a long time. That's the day the last of them left." She said sharply.

" All at once? They all just disappeared?" Scott asked and it seemed to strike a nerve.

" I didn't say they disappeared- I said they left." She said sharply.

" Did they leave in a cloud of green smoke?" Malia asked calmly but the woman groaned.

" THEY JUST LEFT!" She screamed almost like a banshee.

" We didn't mean to upset you. We'll go now." Lydia says as she gets up. We are all heading towards the door and then it slams shut.

" No one is leaving. No one is leaving Canaan ever again." The woman says as she had this hateful look in her eyes.

" Scott, the door." I am worried.

" Scott, open the door! You're a Werewolf." Malia says worried.

" I'm trying!" He states as I tried breaking the glass.

" What the hell is wrong with this place?" Malia growled low.

" Lenore? Could you unlock the door, please?" Lydia asked her calmly. Lenore shakes her head.

" Now that you're here, you need to stay. Caleb likes you." She sounds sweet and vindictive.

" And we like him! But we need to help our town. People are disappearing-Uh, leaving. I mean leaving. You could really help us." Lydia says calmly.

" No one can help you. If they want to leave, they're going to leave. They'll go, and they'll go, and there won't be anything you can do about it." Lenore said with a slight growl. I see the boy, Caleb, come into view.

" Come with me." He growled demonically. Lydia nods for us to go. We followed him to a wet and decrepit room.

" Caleb, can you help us find a way out of here?" Scott asked after trying the window. Caleb puts in a VHS tape.

" You have to stay because Mommy said so." Caleb says as he isn't paying attention to us anymore.

" No, we can't stay. We have to go home." Scott pleads with the eight year old.

" This is home. This is home." Caleb and Lenore's voice says as I am well creeped out at the moment. The door slams shut.

" Scott, Raven? Come here for a sec. Look at the date." Malia tells us. On the screen it says 1985.

" Uh, Caleb? Do you know what year you were born?" I asked as he turned and was soaking wet.

" 1976." He said in a dreaded voice. Nope, nuh uh.

" And when did you die?" Scott asked as I heard the fear in his voice. The room began to flood as we looked around. The walls let water in.

" Am I having another hallucination?" Malia asked us as Scott nodded.

" This is some exorcist bull shit man." I say as my nerves are shot. I hear Lydia cry out in a banshee scream.

" We've got to get out of here." Scott says as Malia looks pissed.

" I know you're not gonna beat an eight-year-old's ass, but I will." Malia says before trying to strike the boy, but stops as she has trouble breathing.

" You don't look so good. Maybe you should sit down..." Caleb says with a demonic smile on his face. I run up to Malia and see water coming from her mouth.

" Kid stop." I begged as I held my cousin tight.

" Breathe, Malia. You have to breathe. Lydia!" Scott called out before upchucking water.

" What are you doing to us?" Scott asked before water was coming up from my throat.

" You're drowning, just like me. Now we can be friends forever." Caleb said before the water stopped and I was able to breath. We all reassured everyone we were ok.

" Mommy says you can go now." Caleb says as he lets us go. We found Lydia and left the house. Lydia looked back and looked sadly at Lenore.

" You know, you can still come with us." She says as Lenore looked at Caleb then back at Lydia.

" I couldn't leave Caleb." She says with a sad grin before the four of us head back to the car and drive off. We waited for a bit before speaking.

" You guys think Stiles sent us here to warn us? Maybe Beacon Hills is gonna be the next ghost town." Scott says as I was looking outside then back at him.

" If we don't stop it, yes. We need to get them to leave. Now." Malia says as she looks back.

" We can't. Not yet." Lydia remarked as Scott spoke up.

" Why can't we get rid of them?" Scott asked as Lydia looked still before speaking.

" Because I saw what happens to the people they've taken when they leave." She replied as Malia looked concerned.

" It's something worse than death. I felt it in Lenore's memory. It's like their soul's hollowed out. They became something else. I think they became Ghost Riders. And then... they were gone." Lydia replied before we pulled into Scott's driveway. Lydia, Malia and I were outside the house.

" Are you okay?" Malia asked as Lydia nodded.

" I'm fine. Okay, I was thinking about Lenore. There's myths about the Wild Hunt and the Morrigan. They left Lenore behind." Lydia spoke as Malia looked confused.

" I thought Lenore was a Banshee?" Malia asked her.

" The Morrigan was a Banshee." Lydia replied as I spoke up nervously. The ache in my chest began acting up.

" So, when the Wild Hunt moves on from Beacon Hills..." I say with dread in my voice.

" I'll be like Lenore. Left behind. Alone." Lydia says as I gripped my chest, almost feeling the tears well up. I walked with Lydia and we head home.
