Heroic Heart and Super Soul

Episode 33

Start of the Frontier Training

Tom: We're now getting further along with Pokémon: Heroic Heart and Super Soul.

Sara: Along with more ideas for Pokémon: Road to be the Best – Kanto. But it's pretty much one episode at a time for that series as well.

Tom: A lot to think on with that one, not to mention Transformers: Cyberron 2 – Universal Drift and Transformers: Age of Existence.

Sara: He's also brainstorming ideas for Transformers: Battle Core and Transformers: Prime – The Fallen Relic of Chaos and such.

Tom: A lot to do in so little time.

Announcer: Don't we know it. Coming up is more Pokémon: Heroic Heart and Super Soul. Right here on KidsWB.

Tom: Not only that, but we're starting up small samples of Frontier Quest before the end of the season and we hope you all are ready for season two.

Sara: Which probably won't be out until next year.

Tom: As for right now, we have the rest of this season to finish. So let's kick it. *he hits the touchscreen buttons*

"AND HERE WE HAVE OUR WINNER OF THE SNOWPOINT CITY CONTEST, DREW!" Marian announced.

After winning the contest, he went over to the other coordinator as she was picking up her Swablu. "You did great Swablu." She complimented as she smiled at her defeated Pokémon.

"Hey!" Drew exclaimed as he looked down at them with a smile. "You did great out there, even for a beginner." He complimented her and held out his hand to help her. She looked up at him with some awe in her face, but she managed to take his hand and he helped her up – even as she held her Pokémon in her arms.

"Th-thanks. You did as well. She replied." A bit choked on words.

"And don't give up. You came all the way to the final part of the contest, even without your Swablu evolving." He added.

"Well, it was Swablu's idea to not evolve. So I was given an Everstone and Swablu accepted it." She told him. He gave off a nod, showing good sportsmanship and they each shook hands.

"Now this is what I call great sportsmanship. Drew and Alicia shaking hands after that wonderful battle performance." Marian stated on tv as Ash and those watched the contest.

It has been a week since May and Drew left back for Sinnoh and Drew has managed to win his next to last ribbon.

"Seems like he's right there with getting to the Grand Festival." Kenny commented.

"I'm thinking that we should visit them and watch Drew take on the Grand Festival when it's time." Paul added.

"Good decision, Paul." Ash stated.

"No wonder why you're the second in command." Calem commented and they all had a laugh.

On the tv, Drew was now on the podium, being presented with his fourth ribbon by Mr. Contesta. "I understand that you'll have one more ribbon to win." He commented.

"Yes, sir. Right after that I'll be ready for the Grand Festival." He replied.

"I hope to see something incredible when you get it." Mr. Contesta told him as he gave Drew the ribbon and he gladly accepted it.

"And here you have it, folks. Drew has now won his fourth ribbon. We'll hopefully see him again real soon and… what's this?" she questioned as a girl ran on stage. May was now running towards him and threw her arms around him. "Well now, seems like the Princess of Hoenn seems very… oohhh!" she gasped as May planted her lips onto his and Drew returned it, holding her close. "Well now. Seems like the Princess of Hoenn has a Prince." She added.

Everyone cheered at this moment between them and May broke the kiss. "Great job, Drew." May told him.

"I couldn't have done it without you, May." He told her as they smiled sincerely at each other. After that, they shared another passionate kiss and the audience applauded.

"It seems like a victory for the two love birds we have." Marian stated as May and Drew kissed for a bit longer until they broke it. They smiled at each other sincerely and began to walk off stage. From how they saw the mood they were in, no one wanted to interrupt their time together.

After they had left Mr. Contesta went up to where Drew once was and everyone looked at him. "With the closing of this Contest. I would like to announce that the next contest in Sinnoh will be held in Hearthome City and there aren't that many to go. We're looking forward to all of you young coordinators to try and obtain your five ribbons before the Grand Festival." He told them all.

(Beat) In a loud whisper: GOTTA CATCH 'EM, GOTTA CATCH EM, GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL! POKEMON! (Regular) I WANT TO BE THE BEST, THAT NO ONE EVER WAS! TO CATCH THEM IS MY REAL TEST. TO TRAIN THEM IS MY CAUSE. FOR EVERY NEW JOURNEY I FACE, OFFERS A NEW CHALLENGE. FROM NEW FRIENDS, TO NEW RIVALS! NEW POKEMON WITH NEW ABILITIES. BE A HERO, BE A HEERROOO. IT'S IN YOUR SOUL. BE A HERO. BE A HEERRROOOOO. THE POWER IS IN YOUR SOUL. JUST TAKE IT IN YOUR HAAANNNDD! POKEMON.

"Seems like they're getting things ready for the Grand Festival." Ash commented.

"I'm surprised to see how Mr. Contesta can easily manage all these contests over time." Iris pointed out.

"Yeah. Especially since he and Mr. Sukizo have to travel to four different regions." Dawn added.

"Probably something to think about for another time. As for right now. I'm pretty tired." Ash told them as he got up.

"No kidding. I'm beat from today." Misty added.

"That's what certainly does happen when we train our Pokémon." Serena commented.

"Yeah. We best hit the hey." Calem said to them as they all went to their rooms.

Once they did, they went into the two rooms they had. Ash, Misty, Paul, Zoey, Dawn and Kenny each went into one room as Iris, Serena and Calem went into another, saying night to each other.

Once they did, they got their own beds ready, but Ash looked over to Paul. "How close are you to getting your next symbol?" Ash asked.

"Well… if you're wondering about Pike Queen Lucy. I haven't got to her yet. I lost to Tucker as I wasn't expecting how skilled he truly was. " He replied.

"No surprise there." Ash replied, knowing how tough they were and Paul looked at him, surprised that he said that. "I know what you're thinking and don't take it the wrong way. From how I took them on, it took me more than one try as well." Ash reassured Paul.

Paul looked down, thinking about what Ash said and it was a wonder that Ash is right. With how tough the Battle Frontier is. He knew he needed more training; hence is why he needed Ash's help to try and beat Tucker. As for the time being, he was tired and he knew he needed sleep. "Gotcha, Ash. Hence is why I'm anxious for our training tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be more prepared for Tucker once we get back to her." He replied.

"No need to worry. You'll be ready for her in no time." Ash assured him.

From there they each went into the bathroom and did their stuff. After they did, Ash took off his hat, opened the covers and got in bed. He left the covers open for Misty and she smiled as she got in with him – after taking out her scrunchy. He put the covers on her and she nuzzled into him as Zoey did the same with Paul. Before Dawn and Kenny turned in, she kissed his cheek before getting on the top bunk. He blushed at that, not expecting it but he got up on his top bunk as well. Serena, Calem and Iris were in their respective bunks, ready to get some rest for the next day.

Once the sun was up the next day it peered in through the windows. As the rays shown through the windows, the light was starting to hit Misty as she was sleeping comfortably, holding onto Ash, her head on his chest. She had a comforting smile on her face as she slept and Ash held onto her, but she began to stir.

Once she opened her eyes she slowly opened them. Once she did she looked and saw Ash's face as he was sleeping still.

She giggled before she put her hands on his chest and gave him a brief kiss. "Does that mean you both are together?" someone teased. Misty gasped as she turned around and saw the Zoey was up.

"Zoey! Oh, jeez. You startled me." Misty told her.

"You sure about that?" she joked as she let go of Paul and sat up in bed.

"What the hey? Morning already?" Dawn asked tiredly.

Zoey looked up at her and smiled. "Seems like someone is also up." She pointed out.

"No kidding. Especially with how you both were talking." She told them as she got up and hopped onto the floor. "Since we're up should we make breakfast?" she asked them.

"I don't see why not." Zoey replied and they went out to the cafeteria area of the Pokémon Center.

When they did they got busy making breakfast, but Dawn woke up and came in after having changed. "Hey you two. Anything I can do?" she asks.

Misty looked at her. "Probably help us to make breakfast." Misty informs her as they're attempting to make breakfast.

"Sounds like a great idea." Someone added. They looked to see Calem. "I can help with that." He states.

They smile at him; grateful it won't just be just them. "Thanks, Calem." Zoey replied.

"No problem." He replied as he went in to help them.

Not long after they started making breakfast Ash and Paul were the first ones up as Kenny was still snoozing.

"Man! That was some nights sleep." Ash commented.

"No kidding." Paul added as he yawned.

"First time I've ever soon you yawn." Ash told him.

"Don't get used to it." Paul joked before he got down, but they both noticed that Kenny was still asleep. "Oh, man. He's still asleep?" Paul questioned.

"Seems like it. Probably tired from Dawn showing him a few things throughout the week." Ash recalled.

"I'm beginning to think he needs to stop Contests altogether. He's pretty good, but not Top Coordinator material." Paul said bluntly.

"As for right now, let's get him up." Ash went over and began to shake him a tad. "Hey, Kenny. It's time to get up." Ash told him.
Kenny began to stir a bit until his eyes started to open. "Huh? Morning already?" Kenny wondered as he got up and stretched.

"Of course it's morning. There's some training to do today." Paul reminded him.

"Oh yeah. Dawn said she'd help me to improve my skills as a coordinator." He remembered as he got up and went to get changed.

"Wow! He certainly got up fast." Paul commented.

"Doesn't surprise me. Especially with how he feels about Dawn." Ash commented playfully. They all went out and they saw Serena and Iris come up to them.

"Hey! Morning guys." Ash told them.

"Hey. Have you guys seen Calem?" Serena requested.

"Afraid not." Ash replied.

"He could be getting breakfast. Speaking of which." Kenny told them as he started to sniff the air.

"Yeah. I think they're making breakfast." Paul pointed out.

"Then let's not stand around. Let's get something to eat before the day begins." Iris says to them before skipping off, a bit too brightly.

They noticed this and wondered what was going on. "I wonder what's up with her?" Ash wondered.

"Even though it's been a little over a week, but I'd say she's thinking about that guy she met at the dance." Serena reminded them as she smiled.

They were a bit surprised at this and looked at Iris who was still skipping along. As she entered in, she felt like making breakfast for her and the boy she had met, but came into realization that he wasn't with them. "Oh, man. I just realized he isn't here." Iris stated. Very disappointed that he wasn't around and walked in, sulking a bit.

Misty, Dawn, Zoey and Calem saw her walk in, hearing what she had just said, but Misty knew who she was talking about.

"She's certainly in love." She pointed out.

"Yeah. We can certainly tell that." Zoey added.

Iris began to make her breakfast as the boys went in. They saw them and went up to them with the breakfast they made so far.

"Hope you're hungry, Ken." Dawn told him as she gave him a plate of pancakes.

"Oh, wow. Thanks Dawn." He replied accepting them and Dawn kissed his cheek.

"Here, Ash." Misty told him as she gave him pancakes as well.

"Heh, thanks Mist." He replied as he accepted it and she kissed his cheek as well.

Zoey gave Paul an omelet and he accepted it as well along with Calem showing he made him and Serena a couple of waffles each. As Iris began to make herself some waffles, Dawn and Serena assisted her as the other sat down and started to discuss what they needed to do for Paul's training.

"So, tell me this Paul. What are main Pokémon that you want to try and train?" Ash asked him as they ate.

"Well, I was thinking about training some of the ones that are my strongest." Paul replied.

"That's understandable, but don't forget. Brute force doesn't get you anywhere with them every time." Ash reminded him.

"Yeah, I got that. Especially from what happened the last time I battled Tucker." Paul recalled.

Flashback

Paul was in the middle of the battle with his two Pokémon as Tucker had his own Pokémon on the verge of victory against Paul.

"Now Swampert, use Mudshot! Arcanine use Flamethrower." He ordered.

"I was only using Ursaring and Mightyena. I caught a Migthtyena a while back during my travels in Hoenn." Paul told Ash.

"Quick! Counter with Hyper Beam and Bite." Paul commanded.

Ursaring unleashed its Hyper Beam as Mightyena went in for a Bite.

"Even though they managed to attack, it wasn't enough." Paul stated as both his Pokémon were hit by the individual attacks. "Both of my Pokémon were defeated." He stated.

"Paul! Even though you have incredible strength. You still have much to learn about strategy. I suggest some serious training to get your feet moving." Tucker told him.

"After he told me that, it felt like a huge impact on me. I felt like I didn't cover strategy enough in my training. Primarily due to how I was making myself catch only strong Pokémon. But I know there's much more than that." He stated.

"Even I saw how bad it was for Paul and he wasn't in the right state of mind. The best thing I did was is rub his back." Zoey explained.

"But once you put you hand on mine, I knew what I actually needed to do and that was try and get the right strategy to beat Tucker." Paul recalled as his past self looks at Zoey.

Flashback Ends

"This is why I need your help, Ash. You're far greater compared to me and… I'll admit, there's a lot to prove." He said solemnly to himself, knowing that he still needed a great deal to work on the inside.

"Hence is why I'm willing to help." Ash told him as he got up. The others looked at him as he did, his plate now empty. "Come with me." Ash told him as he walked towards where the training field was. Paul followed him and saw the field. "Paul, when we're training, I want you to focus on the battle ahead, not me."

Ash told him. Paul looked at him confused about this whole situation. "With how I battled each Frontier Brain, I knew I had to look at the battle ahead, but also how I did before. That way I was able to improve myself when I battled them." He stated.

Paul was pretty shocked, but he pretty much understood what Ash was saying. "You mean to say that I need to look forward while also thinking about the strategies that brought my loss?" he questioned.

Ash nodded. "Yep, that's right. I know it sounds very confusing, but you'll be able to get through it once we're done." Ash stated.

Paul looked to him then to the field and he knew what he needed to do. "Right! I know what to do." He replied before heading over to a video phone and dialed a number. It didn't take too long to see his brother face, in which surprised Reggie.

"Huh? Paul! What are you needing?" he requested.

"Hey, Reggie. I need some help" Paul told him. It took a bit of time. Even as Ash did the same thing at the video phone, but he and Paul were now outside with Ash and they were at each end of the battlefield.

"Okay, Paul. I hope that you're ready." Ash told him as he readied a poke ball.

"I'm ready whenever you are." Paul replied as he grabbed his poke ball.
They both tossed their poke balls releasing their own Pokémon. Paul revealing to have a Pidgeotto and using his Electivire. "I'm thinking about using these two instead of the other two. I'm hoping to have a stronger advantage." He informs Ash from his old habits.

"Maybe so, but I more suggest you use them to develop a strategy." Ash implied.

"How so?" Paul requested. Ash went to the other end of the battlefield and faced him.

"Here's how, Paul." Ash told him as he tossed two of his own into the air and out popped his Infernape and Froakie, who of which landed in a stance and Infernape pounded his chest, each of them calling out their own name. "Infernape knows plenty of pretty good moves, and Froakie has improved over time." Ash pointed out.

"He did?" Paul questioned.

"Uh-huh. I honestly believe these two are what you need to help you out." Ash told him.

"But isn't Froakie much weaker than Infernape?" Misty questioned.

Ash looked over to her. "Maybe. But I'm trying to give him more training." Ash replied before looking back over to Paul. "Besides that, I was going to use Pidegeotto until I saw Paul's Pidgeotto. I just hope he has a good enough of a match up." Ash replied.

"I wonder if I should do any form of training with Axew?" Iris wondered as Axew popped out of her hair and looked down at her and she looked up at it.

"Would you like to do any training?" she asked her companion.

"Ew axew. (I certainly would.)" Axew replied happily and jumped out of her hair.

Zoey noticed this and walked over. "If you both need a sparring partner, I can probably assist." She told them.

"That would be great!" Iris exclaimed as she followed her.

As they did Ash and Paul were ready to start their training and Calem took the middle as the referee. "Commence the training." He told them as he raised his arms.

"Okay! Froakie use Bubble." Ash called out. Froakie released a Bubble attack on Paul's Pokémon.

"Both of you, dodge. Pidgeotto use Wing Attack." Paul ordered. Both Pokémon managed to dodge and Pidgeotto went in with its Wing Attack.

"Infernape, use Flame Wheel." Ash called out. Infernape went forward and engulfed itself in flames and spun towards Pidgeotto and hit it.

"What the?" Paul questioned, not seeing Ash's move.

"You see Paul, when you go up against Tucker, he'll be using team attacks. This is an example for what he'll use. Not to mention, you'll have to use combination moves as well."

"Understood on that, Ash. Go Electivire. Use Discharge." Paul called out. Electivire powered up before releasing its discharge.

"Dodge it." Ash told them but Froakie wasn't fast enough. Seeing this Infernape grabbed 'em up and jumped into the air, dodging the Discharge. "Froakie use Water Pulse. Infernape, Dig." Ash called out. Froakie fired a pulse of water towards both Electivire and Pidgeotto as Infernape went down and dug into the earth.

"Dodge and Electivire use Thunderpunch." Paul ordered, knowing that Froakie wasn't able to withstand an electric-type move. Both Pokemon dodged and Electivire charged up its Tunderpunch.

"Right into it. Infernape, use Flare Blitz on Electivire. Froakie use Lick on Pidgeotto." Ash commanded. Infernape burst out of the ground and headed towards

Electivire and Froakie went towards Pidgeotto, giving it a lick and Infernape hit Electivire with his Flare Blitz. "Alright!" Ash exclaimed in excitement.

"Seems like they're certainly having fun." Misty commented to Dawn.

"Not to mention, those two might be having some fun as well." Dawn added and Misty looked over to see Zoey getting ready to help train Iris.

With the two of them, Iris had out her Axew as Zoey had a new Pokémon on her person. They saw that she had a Nidorina. Dawn looked surprised at this as she had no idea that Zoey had an Nidorina.

"I hope you're ready, Iris. This won't be easy." Zoey reminded her.

"I know it won't be and I'm completely ready." Iris replied.

"Axew axew! (Bring it on!)" Axew exclaimed.

"Okay you two! Go Nidorina. Use Double Kick." Zoey called out. Nidorina ran towards Axew for the attack.

"Dodge and use Scratch." Iris called out. Axew attempted to dodge but wasn't fast enough as it got kicked by one of the legs. "Uh oh!" Iris panicked a bit.

"Try to keep on your toes. Use Poison Sting." Zoey called out. Nidorina went in for the Poison Sting.

"Counter with Dual Chop." Iris countered. Axew managed to use both of its short arms on Nidorina's head and launched itself over when it did. "Good job. Now use Assurance." Iris ordered. Axew started its next attack.

"Dodge and use Fury Swipes." Zoey called out. Nidorina jumped high to avoid the attack, but came down and used Fury Swipes on Axew.

As they did this, the others watched the four trainers as they trained their Pokémon.

"I must say this. It's kind of ironic for Zoey to be helping Iris train while Ash trains Paul." Dawn commented.

"No kidding. I do wonder if we should train ourselves real soon?" Serena pondered.

"Yeah! There ya go, Paul." Ash complimented. They all looked and saw that Ash's Pokémon were on the ground. "The more you keep on your toes with Tucker. There's a good chance you'll beat him."

"No kidding. I certainly feel like my Pokémon are getting there with this training." Paul commented.

"Especially with how much you've been training for these past couple of days." Kenny added.

"As of right now, I'd say it's break time." Ash pointed out, but then he noticed that Zoey and Iris were training as well, and Nidorina did another Fury Swipe attack, but Axew managed to dodge once again and tried another counter.

"Nidorina! Double kick." Zoey called out. Nidorina did a Double Kick and Axew fell onto the ground.

From there Iris walked forward, knowing that was enough for the time being. "Hey, Axew. You okay?" she requested.

"Axew axew. (I'll be okay.)" Axew replied before Iris put it on her shoulder.

"I'd say that's enough for right now." She told Zoey.

"I must agree and I'm very impressed by your Axew." Zoey complimented.

"Thanks and I'm impressed by your Nidorina." Iris added.

"I must say. Paul has certainly come a long way with his Pokémon." Kenny complimented.

"Not to mention, he has as well." Dawn implied. Kenny looked to her pretty confused and Dawn noticed this from her peripheral vision. "You see, Paul is completely reformed – if I'm saying that correctly. He was once incredibly hard towards his Pokémon, but now he's significantly improved over the last month." Dawn pointed out.

"Reformed? How so?" Kenny questioned.

"I'm not a hundred percent. But I think it started after his first loss to Ash during he Sinnoh League." She stated.

Later on, their Pokémon were having lunch as the others were as well.

"So, tell me Paul. What made you decide on going into the Battle Frontier?" Ash requested.

"Well, Ash. It's mainly because… of my brother." He told him.

"From how he lost the Battle Frontier?" Dawn requested.

"Yeah. I just… I just want to be better. Not better than him, but better than my old self. To see if I can get past where my brother couldn't. To see him with a large smile on his face. For him to actually be proud of me." Paul told them.

"So that's why you decided on entering the Battle Frontier. To make your brother proud." Zoey added as she looked at him with both sincerity and seriousness in her eyes.

"Hmm." Paul acknowledged as he nodded. "Not to mention, how I want to bring out my true strength and not hide behind a façade." He stated. They all looked at him, unsure about what he actually meant. "When I first started training in the Kanto Lague. I didn't know what to actually expect as a first time trainer. But after my brother lost, I just felt… disappointed. I honestly wanted to be stronger than my brother." He told them.

"It seems like what Brandon said was true. That you were so incredibly wrapped up in the past." Dawn pointed out.

"No kidding. And it took you a good bit of time to change around." Zoey recalled as she smiled at him.

"And, I have you to thank." He told her and he put his hand on hers as he smiled at her. The two lightly blushed and they smiled sincerely at each other.

"Seems like love is in the air." Dawn commented.

"Most definitely. I honestly didn't expect them to become an item." Serena added.

"I still remember, though. When he lost to me for the first time." Ash stated. They looked at him when he said this. "After our final battle in Sinnoh. I've finally managed to beat him. After that…" "After that, I finally complimented my Honchcrow on a good job." Paul recalled.

They looked at him, intent on learning about what all happened. "I wasn't the best trainer throughout the leagues. I honestly thought that showing strength was the beat way to win. But I was more intimidating others." He told them as he remembered how he trained and battled. "It was when I took on Brandon, the Frontier Brain, for a second time. After losing to him once again, he advised me to take on the Battle Frontier after I cleared my head." He stated. "It was right after I got here and began to clear my head, I realized I had a great deal of work to do." He told them.

"Probably after the accident, am I right?" Zoey asked him.

He looked over to her with a serious look. "Yes. After that accident I realized there was a lot I had to go through."

"Then I'd say we'll have to do some training in the mountains, really soon." Ash pointed out. Paul looked at him, very confused at what he was meaning. "You see, I went into the mountains with my Pokémon to do some extra training. Once we got back, we began to take on the Frontier Brain and we managed to win that time." Ash told them.

"Then I think that the three of us should head into the mountains." Calem told them. They looked at him a bit confused, but Ash understood what he meant.

"Yeah! The three of us could head into the mountains for a few days and possibly meet up at another Pokémon Center." Ash pointed out.

"Huh? Is that a good idea, Ash?" Kenny requested.

"I don't see why not." Paul spoke up and all eyes were on him. "Even though you did it before, there's no telling if Paul and Calem could do it as well."

"Kenny could be right." Dawn admitted.

"No need to worry, Dawn." Ash stated. She looked. He gave her a thumbs up and a wink. "We'll meet up with you guys at the other Pokémon Center." Ash reassured her.

"How long will it take you guys to get ready for this?" Iris requested.

"It might take a couple of days." Ash told them.

After hearing all of this Kenny was in a thought process as he wanted to become stronger as well. So he could become a Top Coordinator as well. But he wasn't for sure if he should try it or not. After a couple of days at the Pokémon Center. Ash, Paul and Calem had gotten themselves ready for some much needed traveling and training in the mountains. Kenny had decided to remain where he was in order for him to help keep an eye on the girls.

As they got ready to go Paul gave Zoey and deep loving kiss as he held her close and she returned it with her arms around his neck. Misty kissed Ash's cheek and gave him something for his trip. Serena kissed Calem's cheek as well and gave him something also before they departed.

"So, tell us this, Serena. Do you have a thing for Calem?" Misty teased.

Serena blushed when asked about this. "Uh… uhh-huhhh. I-I think so." She stammered when she replied.

"We understand if you don't know right now. It'll take some time until you both will know." Dawn told her.

"How do you know that?" Iris requested; a bit confused at Dawn's reply.

"Because of how long it takes for others to understand their feelings. It took me a while to understand my feelings for one of them." Misty told her.

"You mean… for Ash?" Serena teased as she lightly elbowed her, her eyes half lided.

"Oh, boy, Serena, ha ha ha." Misty replied as she laughed a bit.

With the boys, the three of them went up a mountain and found a good enough spot to camp after a few hours. They released their Pokémon and set up their camp. It was throughout the first day, they started to discuss their training and what all needed to be executed.

"Okay. We'll make our first camp here. We'll move to our next spot tomorrow morning." Ash told them.

"As for our training, where's a pretty good spot?" Paul requested.

"I'd say, right over there." Calem pointed out. They saw a small but rough area that was just right for what they needed to do some practicing.

"Right then. We'll get to some training after we've had some lunch." Ash told them.

They released their Pokémon and got right to work on making lunch. It was a small meal they were having and their Pokémon were having a good meal as well.

It was over the course of that time they three of them started their training. Calem did his own training for the gym battles he would have as Ash trained Paul a bit more He showed him how to have his toughest Pokémon to be agile and for them to understand how to work as a team. As for Calem, Ash assisted him with how each gym leader was like. Even Paul helped him out as well.

Throughout their few days of training. They moved from one site to another, having their Pokémon to assist them on their way. Even as they were nearing the next upcoming Pokémon Center.

As they were getting closer to where they'd meet them the three girls were waiting for them. Anxious to know if they were safe.

Iris was merely messing around with her hair, pretty bored as they waited for the boys. Bunt as soon as they had gotten back she saw them at a distance and got up. "Hey, guys! They're back." Iris informed them, pretty excitedly.

The girls who were doing their own thing heard her and ran towards the doors and saw Ash, Paul and Calem. Seeing them Misty, Zoey and Serena all ran out and greeted them. Serena went up to Calem and took his arm and walked with him into the Pokémon Center. Zoey went up to Paul and hugged him before walking back inside with him and Misty wrapped her arms around Ash's neck and he wrapped his around her waist and spun her around once.

"I'm so glad you're back along with Paul and Calem." Misty told him.

"I'm glad we're back too, Mist. We had done quite a bit of training." He told her. She took his arm and walked back into the Pokémon Center with him, her head on his shoulder.

"I will admit that I was pretty worried." She told him.

"Well, nothing to be worried about." He reassured her.

"I know, I know. But still. I'm glad that you're doing okay. How was the training with them?" she requested as they walked in.

"I'd say that I'm pretty much ready for Tucker." Paul told them and they looked at him. "With the training Ash gave me. I feel like I'm more prepared than ever." He stated with a lot of determination.

"Likewise with me. I feel like I'm ready to take on the gyms at full force." Calem added.

"Huh? What happened to your hand, Paul?" Zoey requested from him.

"It's nothing. Just got a little banged up from the training we did." Paul attempted to reassure her.

"Best tell her what actually happened, Paul. I know she won't let up." Ash told him.

Paul closed his eyes, annoyed at the fact that Ash was right. "Fine!" he started as he gave off an annoyed sigh as well. "It was when we were training. My hand was hit by some rocks." He told Zoey.

Flashback

"Use Brick Break! Let's go." Paul called out. "Electivire used Brick Break to smash a boulder. Unfortunately, those pieces went flying towards Calem." He told them. "CALEM! LOOK OUT!" "I tried to warn Calem, but the rocks were about to hit him. Electivire managed to hit them out of the way, but when I punched one… you should know the rest." He told them.

"I'm thankful he was trying to stop them, but I still wonder why he punched one of the rocks."

Flashback ends

"Yeah, I don't know why either. As for right now, my hand will recover over time." He told them.

Zoey grabbed his wrist and took him with her. "Well you're getting that hand looked at by Nurse Joy. I am proud of you, but you really do need to be careful when you do train." She told him.

The other girls giggled at this as the other boys merely smiled and shook their heads.

"It certainly does look like Paul has a long way to go to train his Pokémon better." Ash commented.

"As of right now. I'd say you guys need some good rest after being up in the mountain for a few days." Misty told him.

"I understand what you mean, but that's nothing compared to our travels." Ash reminded her.

"Maybe so. But we do want you guys to take a break, kay?" Misty requested.

"Okay. You got it, Mist." Ash told her before she kissed his cheek. Aprreciating him taking her advice.

The doors to the center opened once more and the lot of them didn't even hear this, or notice. "Well now. I must say that I didn't expect to see you guys this soon." Someone told them. They all looked and saw Iris's dance partner and she gasped as she blushed. "I must say, it's nice to meet you guys." Hilbert told them.

Elsewhere, Team Plasma was doing some research. They were looking at a tablet that Giovanni was looking at from a while back and it had a giant metal looking being with a sword and a weird looking object. A man in a white trench coat with control devices on his sleeves, black pants and shoes with white ends, blonde hair with blue stripes going down the edges on the sides, yellow eyes with blue glasses.

"Hmm? Hmm! And our spy in Team Rocket HQ managed to find this?" he requested.

"Yes, sir, Scientist Colress. He managed to find this, but we have no idea what it could be." The grunt replied.

"Huh! Interesting." He commented. He looked at the data along with some of the translations. "Let me see. I'm trying to translate this as best as I can, but from my understanding. This giant being was from somewhere completely different. It says that he called himself a type of machine and what he possessed was some sort of key?" he wondered.

"A giant machine that had a type of key?" the grunt questioned.

Colress nodded as he looked at them very intently. "These images and translation do explain a lot. Especially with a potential understanding of different universes. Completely different from our own as well. Especially from what these translations further indicate. He has went through different universes. Even more than once. Once banished from his own. But no explanation as to why." He pointed out.

"What does all of this mean, sir?" the grunt requested.

"Well, it only indicates that we have MUCH more to know about the ancient times, along with the possibility of different universes." He stated.

"Then what about N?" the grunt requested.

"N? He's a part of this whole organization. Chosen specifically by Ghetsis. Not to mention, he has no idea what is actually going to happen." Colress stated as N was at the center with Hilber along with the same girl he was with at the dance, Hilda.

Optimus is walking towards a giant building in his knight form. A lot of people in large groups on both sides. "It's been years ever since the events of Chicago. Along with how we stopped the destruction of Earth and Cybertron; and yet, many humans see us as a threat, still. As for the others, they know why we're here." He thought to himself as he saw not only protest signs but also signs of encouragement. "As for right now, work has to be done. Yet… how much can we do?" he wondered. "Quintessa? What have you done!" "Now, I will have what I want, from Unicron."

A girl opens a hatch and climbs into a small building. She finds a data file and opens it. "Hey, Kira. Lookin' for those files again?" a friend teases her. "Yeah. Just trying to find myself." She informs him. New Republic forces are running around a bit as a woman with brown hair turns around and sees someone. "Do you think we can honestly find, Luke?" Han Solo asks Leia. "I know we can and he knows we need him and the Jedi." Lei replies. A man walks through a snow covered planet. "The new Imperialists will prevail. Our strength is unmatched." He states as the same person ignites a red lightsaber. "The force! I can feel it." Kira states. "I can help to train you." A woman states. The Millenuim Falcon flies across a planet. Kira uses the ligthsaber she has found to train and fight back, even to duel the new Sith. "No! This is impossible." "We'll find out then, won't we?" the same woman states as her face is revealed and she has red hair as her purple lightsaber is now ignited. "I won't let you stop me, aunt." She states.
