Twins Missing in Dual Worlds: chapter 36: Mabel and Sasha: The battle for the Valley.
Happy Easter everyone.
"Ummm that's a lot of toads," Mabel said.
"I have an announcement for the entirety of Wartwood!" Grimes announced.
"And what is that," Mabel was a little on edge.
"The moment we heard that Anne was here, we rushed over to start a celebration for their reunification, " he said.
"AW Grimes," Sasha said.
"Really?" Hop Pop was skeptical about this.
"Yes, despite my history and rough exterior, I am deep down...an 'old softy'."
"Dat a boy Grimes?" Sasha said, raising her hand at him, eyes full of pride.
"Awww like my Grunkle Stan!" Mabel said, feeling nostalgic.
Grimes looks at Sasha, wanting some context.
"She might have mentioned him once or twice...everyone in Wartwood invited, free food."
Wally spoke, "Should we go, what do you think, Mayor?"
"I don't trust the toad, and say we should keep them far away from us." Sadie Croaker said.
"Rude." The former Mayor Toadstool.
Maddie did the one million copper question, "What do you think Mabel?"
"I say if Sasha is vouching for them, they have to be trustworthy," she said, trusting her crush. "Plus it is free food, who can say no to that?" They did get less food than they should have for the party.
"If Mabel thinks it good, so do I. Come along, everyone." Polly said, waving them over to the ride the toad bought. "Looks comfy."
"No expense spare. I'll make sure your mayor joins, we would hate to have her miss it." Grimes said, keeping a close eye on the geriatric frog. The spider Archie hiss at him, and she calms it down.
"Hmm." Sprig said, "HMMM. HMMM!" Each Hmm getting louder.
Mabel completely missed what was going on with Sprig, "Sprig if you have to go to the bathroom you can just ask."
"No, it is not that." He notices a Toad soldier behind her, "I'll tell you about it later Mabel." He said, not liking the looks they were giving the town as they were heard into a trailer with a giant tarantula for the beast of burden.
"Ok weirdo," she went to get in the main carriage but Sasha grabbed her arm. "Something wrong?" Mabel asked, blushing at the feeling of her crush touching her.
"I am just double checking, making sure you don't just disappear." She said, "Maybe we can spend some time together just the two of us." The memory of what happened with the girl flashed before her eyes, she wanted to make sure that didn't happen again.
"Oh. Oh. Umm well, I could ride in your carriage if you want?" Mabel was feeling like Dipper whenever he spoke to Wendy.
"Thanks, We can talk with Grimes, believe it or not, he is quite the storyteller." She said helping her up to the seat of her personal carriage. Her ride was a spider, it lowered its legs so that the three of them could reach the steps. "Thanks, Akana." She said, she said, throwing what looked like a giant fly leg in front of the spider, which happily ate it. It rose and started to move along with the party trailer.
The captain spoke, "I admit I think you have a more interesting story to tell, honestly."
"Oh? What do you mean?" Mabel asked, forgetting how she was from another world, yet managed to be all but adopted by these frogs.
"Well for one I like to know how you two meet, judging by my lieutenant stories you two must have been close."
Sasha blushed, "Not that close." Trying to hand wave away what he was saying, Mabel noticed this and wondered did she felt the same way.
"The more you say no, the more I want to know," Grimes said, gently antagonizing the blonde cheerleader. Trouble with the toads?
"I'd say we are pretty close." She said, cutting over so that the two were sitting right next to one another. She started to talk about how
Mabel is seen sitting on a bench eating lunch. When another kid comes up and steals it. She has long ginger hair, tied in twin pigtails. Her face was adorned with three freckles on each cheek. She was wearing a school jacket and a pink skirt. Her shoes were wearing white boots with long socks. Atop her head was a backward-facing hat.
"What you have here Pens." She said, using the term Mabel was uncomfortable with using. Why did her last name have to contain all of those specific letters? "That's a nice hotdog." Mabel was upset Dipper got a different lunchtime than her. (Warning the actual nickname isn't Pens.)
"Hey, give it back!" Mabel tried to reach, but her small arms did little to help out.
Mabel looked at the girl. She hadn't seen her before, it was a blonde girl, she had a small mole under her left eye. She was wearing the school top with a pink collar, over it was a blue jean jacket, she had a pink skirt, she had long socks and was wearing a pair of Mary Janes. "Maggie knock it off, you are not funny." She said, rubbing her temples.
"Why should I?" she asked, challenging her.
"Because I am hosting a party at the local roller ring while my parents are busy with their anniversary. It would be a shame if someone just didn't give you an invite." She said, "I am sure everyone will be talking about it, and how you were not able to join in. Outcast Maggie, has a nice ring to it."
"Find here you go." She said, giving Mabel her food back.
Sasha bent down slightly so she would eye level with the shorter girl.
She blinked before accepting. "Thanks. I've never seen anyone stand up to Maggie before." Dipper has been complaining about her, and after being picked on by her, Mabel would have to agree.
"She is all bark, no real bite." She said looking over her nails, "What is your name kid?" Placing her hand on hand on Mabel's shoulder.
"Mabel Pines," she held out her hand. "And who is the name of my rescuer?"
"Sasha Waybright, Mabel, the year I saw your name on the Cheerleader tryout this morning."
"Oh ah ya?" Mabel finally realized who this was. The captain of the cheer team. It must have been because she was out of uniform.
"Judging by the stars in your eyes, you realize that, I am the cheer Captain. You think you have what it takes?"
"Girl I know I got what it takes!" Mabel said the confidence just glowing out of her.
"Moxy, I like that. You're certainly none too shy about all of this." She said, "Hopefully you have the energy to see it through."
"I'm not shy about anything. And I have so much energy! I have so much my parents say it's too much. Like there is such a thing."
She chuckled, "I like you kid, but don't expect any special treatment from me. I don't play favorites."
"I never do."
"I suppose you wouldn't remember to come to try early. That will look good when you do that." She said.
"I'll make sure to do that," she smiled.
Back in the present Mabel laughs a little. "And that's how we met. Crazy hey?"
"I say so, Pens?' he asked, what a strange nickname it almost sounds like…
"It was spelled differently," Sasha said, making Mabel blush in embarrassment.
She raises her sweater neck to hide her head in her sweater.
"It's okay, I'll make sure Maggie suffers when we get home," Sasha said, patting Mabel on the lap. This made Mabel smile and hug her. "It looks like the littlest Pines is feeling better." She said.
"Hey. I'm taller than Dipper." Mabel stuck her lips out in a pout.
She chuckled, "Now that you mentioned it, I think you have grown a little since we last met, you are quite a bit taller.*
"I am?" She asked she looked down and her regular skirt did look a lot shorter than when she bought it.
"Last I saw you, you were barely up to my stomach now you're just a head shorter than me."
"Oh ya. I hadn't even noticed yet."
"I think a little height looks good on you. You're so going to rub this in Dipper when you see him, aren't you." Wasn't even a question, more of a statement of fact.
"Oh you know it," she grinned.
"We're almost to the tower, I can show you my new room." She said, so excited. "It took forever but I managed to finally make it a little bit of Heaven on Amphibia. You are going to love it."
"This is pretty far from Wartwood. When we got teleported I wonder how far it separated each of us." It had to have been an hour's drive shortest, and this thing had to been doing twenty mph at the slowest.
"I have no idea, I found myself in a field not too far from here. Have no idea where that would be from Wartwood. If only Marcy was here she probably triangular or whatever and find out where exactly we are. I am guessing you haven't found either of them either." Sasha said.
Mabel looked down. "No. I was in the forest just outside of wartwood. I have t even found any signs."
"If they are here in Amphibia, it is not the valley. I got the Toads everywhere and nothing. So it safe to say we won't find them for a while." She said,
"I just hope they're ok. They aren't exactly as capable as you and me." Anne as much as Mabel loves her is a goofball and kinda lazy, and Marcy is a genius but can't walk a straight line without falling over.
Sasha waved her hand, "All Anne has to do is find a nearby village and they be eating out of her hand, and Marcy probably made a helicopter powered by bamboo and coconut powder." She said. "Assuming Anne got caught in the blast, she was pushed back pretty far by you."
"I had wanted to get everyone away. When I saw that light." She remembers it so clearly.
"I do wonder what made that box so special." Sasha said, "Of all the boxes we could find we got the one hiding the portal. What are the odds?"
"My experience pretty good." All that happens at Gravity Falls flashes before her eyes.
"Oh, right. Wait your portal story was true?" Sasha just thought Mabel was living in make-believe.
"All my stories were true. Even when I lie I am telling the truth."
"Well, color me surprised. Look we're here. Not modest but it is home." Sasha said, having the toad lower the drawbridge.
"Now THAT is a tower." Mabel wondered why they didn't have something like that in Wartwood, it could be a perfect defense.
"It can take quite a bit of punishment, you should have seen the damage caused by a Heron attack."
"Heron?" If she's heard about the attack she thinks this is one of those things that killed Sprig and Polly's parents... I'm glad Sasha survived. If she hasn't Those don't sound friendly.
"It was a real noise, a lot of fire, messed up my clothes zero out of ten, would not recommend it again."
She snorted. "You sure have a way with reviews Sash."
"Come, I can show you show you the spa." She said, "You can borrow my spare robes."
"Spa? Now you're speaking my language."
"Took forever to clean up." She said. "Come, don't worry I am sure Grimesy will be happy to show your friend to the party room."
She grinned. "Thanks! Good luck Grimes, the people of Wartwood can party!"
"Don't you worry, we have the party under control." The captain said, "Now off, off you go."
She smiles, after their spa day she shows off a little buffet fool of human foods, burgers, pizza, and chips.
"This food looks like human food!" She gasped as her eyes widened like saucers.
"Took a few tries but they got it right, the Toads love it." She said, "They like the change of pace."
"Ya? What were they eating before?" She wondered if it was like the frogs.
"Giant bugs, and growl. Luckily we found a better way to use their resources."
"Ha! That's even worse than Wartwood."
"It was my idea, believe it or believe it Grimes didn't always have the love of his soldiers. I have been talking him into programs to get the Toads to like him. I think I made quite a job if I do say myself."
"You're amazing," Mabel was staring at her.
She looks over her nails, "I know, I am sure you've done some impressive stuff too."
"Awww thanks," she took her hand to check out her nails. "How did you get a manicure?"
"They were done by one of the toads, her name is Braddock. She seems happy to have something to do that doesn't involve her job." She said.
"Well, she's got a talent! She should pursue it."
"That's what I say, but until her service is done she can't leave. At least this way she can get some practice down." She said, "Glad I found her."
"Sounds like you and the toads are having a great life."
"Agree, we have been planning a trip to Newtopia, they figure that with the King Resources, they will find Marcy and Anne."
"Do you think he will help?" Mabel was excited to find more humans, she loved the Plantars but she miss human contact.
"I can be very persuasive, besides he probably would prefer us to be near me away from him, where we can't bug him."
Mabel laughed at that. "Ya, you are pretty persuasive."
"You know it. We might be able to go home when we find everyone." She said.
"I hope so. Dipper must be worried."
"He probably running around like a chicken with his head cut off." She said.
Mabel laughed at the mental image. "You always make me laugh."
"What can I say, I like your smile," Sasha said. Mabel's face went beet red. She smiles happily trying a slice of pizza. Mabel joined it. Glad for the good food.
Sasha looks so cute.
Mabel found herself staring so much that she accidentally smooshed pizza on her cheek.
"You okay girl?" That pizza was kinda hot.
She finally noticed. "Ouch!" She happily cleans her cheek. Mabel felt faint. She sighs, "Looks like things are finally looking up at this."
"Now that we got each other."
"Glad I took a chance on you Mabel."
Mabel knew her face was red. And it's not like she's been shy before. So she took a deep breath. "Sasha. There's something I've been wanting to tell you. I... I have a crus~"
Before she could finish the door was thrown open by a very excited-looking toad. "General Sasha! The plan is ready!"
"That's great, you can go now." She said, distracted from what Mabel just said.
"What plan?" She asked. Feeling uneasy by the wording.
"Well, there been some problems for the Toads lately, been rebellions happening all over the valley."
"Rebellions? What are you talking about? I haven't heard of that."
"Something about a toad losing to a frog, and Inspiring people to rebel. You know the drill which is a problem for the Toads."
"Losing to a frog?" She frowned.
"Some kind of mayor election." She said as she heard the road leave, but didn't hear Mabel grabbing for a bottle.
"You're talking about wartwood," Mabel said, not liking the picture Sasha was painting.
She held finger guns toward Mabel, "That a girl." She said, her voice was too chipper.
"What are you planning to do about it?"
"Just get rid of the frog mayor, and let the Toads deal with it." She said as if it was just a chore.
"Get rid of?"
She walked towards a window and gestured for Mabel to look out.
Mabel hesitated for a moment. Then walked to the window and looked out.
There was a giant tomato plant, its giant mouth snapping in the air.
"You are going to make that thing eat it, that evil." Mabel declares.
"That's murder!"
"Cool your jets, they are just frogs."
she didn't have time to argue effects with her. So the second Sasha was looking away she put the knock-out stuff and shoved it in her face.
Sasha smells something, her brain going like this. 'I smell gas. Pleasant gas. Night-night gas.' Before falling down. Mabel sighed in relief.
She needed to go help the others, she had to get redress and get one of Sasha's robes. Soon enough she was in her Sasha disguise.
Her outfit sagged due to Sasha still being a couple of dress sizes, it will work as long as none of the Toads look too hard. Why couldn't they all have eyes like Grimes?
She burst into the party room and discovered that sprig had already managed to make a massive scene. And she made a show of pretending she was gonna punish the frogs herself. And the toads left.
"Enough I am going to deal with them myself." She said, "Now leave."
One of the toads laughs, "You're in trouble now." One by one each of the toads' soldiers left the room, leaving her alone.
Once safe Mabel pulled off her hood. "Bad party eh?"
"Oh, it's you, Mabel." Polly said, holding the axe she was planning on throwing at 'Sasha's head.
"Ya Sasha kind of told me she's gonna help the toads murder Mayor Sadie. So I made her take a nap. Let's get out of here!"
"Let me at them, I'll fight all of them." Mrs. Croaker said getting in what could be generously considered a boxing stance her old arms held up high.
"Or we all go home and regroup?" Mabel suggested. "Come on."
"Umm Mabel, there are tons of toads out if they see us they will lock us up," Mabel said.
"I got an idea." The vagabond Wally said.
This should be good. "Let us hear it!" Mabel said excitedly.
"Are we sure this is a good idea?" The former mayor asked.
"I hate to agree with Toadstool..." Ivy said, not continuing the sentence.
"Yes?" The current Mayor asked.
"OH right, he might have a point. I mean everyone who didn't gather a mob after Mabel raised your hand." Everyone but Wally raises their hand.
"I still got an idea," Wally said.
"Sure, against my better judgment, I'll listen," Mabel said taking charge.
HE pulled out some boomshroom from his west, "WE lay a few of them behind us, and the tower is set to pieces." He said.
"I guess we have no choice, I am sure the Toads get away." She said they seemed to survive worse before. "Just try to be quick, no one wants to leave you behind." She said, conveniently ignoring the fact some of the town didn't agree with her.
"Great!" She noticed a sewer grate. "Come on everyone! Follow me!" She tried to lift it but it was too heavy for her.
They got the former mayor to remove it, he was the only one big enough to lift it.
"Thanks, man. Knew you had good in ya." Mabel hoped in.
She went ahead. Making sure it was safe. But when she poked her head out to escape she came face to face with Sasha, and maybe all of the toad soldiers!
"Mabel, what do you think you are doing?" She asked, all the guards ready to fight.
"Umm drinking a smoothie?" she referenced an old meme, she has a flashback as she and Wartwood were rounded up.
Flashback time:
Mabel had been on the Cheerleader team for two months, and she managed to befriend Sasha and was in with her.
Mabel smiled. She enjoyed Cheerleading.
They were about to leave with Sasha walked up to Mabel. "Hey Pines, can we talk?"
"Sure! What's up?" She looked up at her.
"What to come over to my place, Marcy is busy studying, and Anne was picked up by her parents." She said, "And I figure it might be fun to have a model for my new makeup kit."
Mabel perked up in excitement. "Absolutely!" She agreed. She hasn't hung out at a friend's house since the summer.
"One of my parents will drive." She said she was glad to have a friend like her. "I think you're like them."
"I'm sure I will."
The drive there was uneventful, once they got to the gates, Sasha's three-story house was revealed.
Mabel stepped out of the car and whistled. "That's a big house." She said as she followed Sasha to the front door.
"Thanks, my mom is a lawyer, and dad is a real estate agent." She said.
"Those are busy jobs," Mabel said.
"That's true, but they make time for their princess, " she said, gesturing toward herself. Come, I can show you the pool."
"I should have brought my swimsuit," Mabel commented as she followed.
"Next time." She said, as a breeze moved, showing off one of the floaties in the shape of a pink flamingo. "This is the life, no worries." She said, "I got a smoothie maker."
"We need to make Smoothies!" She was excited.
"I like banana and strawberry cream smoothies." She said.
"Tasty," She grinned, then saw something on the coffee table. "Ohh, what's that?" She noticed a photo of a small bunny suit on top of a photo book. Without waiting for a response she picked it up and opened it.
"Tasty," She grinned, then saw something. "Ohh, what's that?" She noticed a small bunny suit and a photo book. Without waiting for a response she picked it up and opened it.
Mabel giggled. "You are so cute!"
"Give me that," Sasha said, trying to get it from the smaller girl's tiny arms.
Mabel kept moving, her body bobbing back and forth, just out of her friend's reach as she looked through the pictures.
"How are you so fast?" Sasha asked, she had done three sports how was she the slower one?
"Practice dodging gnomes. Do you still remember this dance you did? I have got to see it."
"Why would you have to dodge glass figures?" She asked, "What dance are you talking about?"
Mabel held up the page of the book she was on. Which shows Sasha doing an adorable bunny dance.
She tries to grab it, "Give it back to me now." She said, trying to overpower her.
"Woah! Why are you so upset?"
"It is humiliating," she said, still trying to grab it from her hand. "I have a reputation to protect."
"Humiliating? This is adorable!"
Her face was red as a tomato, "Give me the photo now Mabel." She said, her voice getting serious.
Mabel gave them to her. But still didn't understand.
"I just don't like looking silly." She said.
"What's wrong with silly? I'm silly every day? The president is silly."
"Walt Warner is silly?" She asked. She laughed at this, "You're quite the comedian, you know that?"
"Nah I'm talking about Quinten Presley."
"I am going to regret this, who the heck is that?"
"The 8 and a half president of the United States."
"When was his regime supposed to be?" She asked, wanting to see the response.
"I mean technically it hasn't ended yet."
She smirks, "Go on." She said, rotating her hand in a circular motion.
Mabel had then gone on to tell the entire story.
Sasha was giving out occasional laughs, she must have been having such a good time.
As Mabel was finishing her story she heard people yelling. "Huh?"
"Oh my mom and dad, it's nothing you need to worry about."
"They sound mad…" Her parents did it once or twice, but not to this degree.
"It's nothing, want to see if I got any swimsuits that can fix you."
The yelling was getting worse. "Umm, maybe I should head home."
"Please don't," Sasha said, looking a whole lot less confident.
Back in the present:
Mabel was glaring at Sasha and the toad guards. As she and the rest of Wartwood are being led to that monster thing.
They were on the top of the tower. "Mabel, what were you thinking?" She asked.
"Protecting my friends," Mabel said, getting between the Plantars, the Mayor, and Sasha. She would do more but the town folks wouldn't hold still.
"Mabel this isn't back home, they are just frogs, they are NOT worth it!" She said.
"They are living, breathing creatures! What is wrong with you?"
"They aren't people." She said, not caring for the others.
"How are they, not people?" Mabel couldn't believe she was apathetic.
"Mabel, I am not in the mood for one of your silly stories. You will walk away from this mess, and let me do my job."
"They're not stories! They're real!"
"They are just dumb animals." She said, the toad not realizing it means you. "Now end this silliness now!" She said, hands on her sword. Not realizing how big of a smile was on Grimm's face.
"not gonna happen. They are my friends. End of discussion!" Mabel said, giving a small smirk.
Sasha was taken aback by this.
Grimes visibly laughs at this.
"What are you laughing at now Grimes?" Sasha asked.
"Looks like this human is as rebellious as the frogs she surrounds herself with. For all you have done to help my reign over the tower, I am going to graciously return the favor. Reign her in, stop the rebel now, or risk everything you've been fighting for."
"Won't happen," Sasha said.
Grimes notices how the citizens of Wartwood arming themselves with rocks and any weapons on them. He thought, okay someone losing their job for that blunder. "This should be fun. My friends! Instead of a messy free-for-all, I have a splendid idea. How about we settle this..." Leaping on a rock to get to the highest point. "the toad-fashioned way?" He snapped his fingers and toad soldiers surrounded the two humans. "Mabel and Sasha will fight in trial by combat. One on one, Pines wins we let the 'mayor' and the people of Wartwood go, if Sasha wins...well Audrey is hungry." He said looking at the giant tomato plant.
Mabel stepped forward with confidence. "Challenge accepted."
"Mabel stand down." She said, readying her sword.
She pulls out her boomerang from her hair. "Not with lives on the line. This isn't a game Sasha. Stop acting like a spoiled brat!"
"You're the one risking everything, we could find Marcy and Anne with the Toads forces." She said readying her sword.
"And what would they say when they found out you killed?" The look of horror on their faces of Anne and Marcy's faces went through Mabel's mind.
"Mabel, the frogs are cute but they don't matter." She said swinging her sword at her.
The sheriff Buck Leather, "Come on we can clearly talk and think." Ivy handed him a note, "Okay, what this, 'go Mabel you got this thing…grooving?' Why in tarnation did you give me this to read?" Ivy only shrugs at the cowboy frog in response.
Mabel ducked and dodged to the left. Swinging her boomerang up as she did in an attempt to knock Sasha's sword out of her hands.
"You go girl, I don't see any future where you lose." Maddie cried out.
"I have been training for a month, try harder." Sasha was as annoyed by how bad the attempt was, as the attempt itself was.
"Come on Mabel girl, if you win I'll give you free bread for a week." Mr. Flour declares, wanting to encourage the young human against the less young human.
"I don't want to hurt you. Stand down and I'll forgive you," Sasha readied an attack.
"Come on Mabel, show her the difference between a spoiled princess and a town defender," Ivy said.
"Ivy I couldn't have said it more eloquently myself." Her mother said.
"Like you even could scratch me, while you were busy farming carrots I have been training with some of the toughest people this world has to offer. I'm the Major League, while you're still playing T ball." She said, comparing their skill.
"You never have believed in my skill," she was still dodging. And once Sasha had left an opening she tossed her boomerang and smacked her side.
"This isn't cheerleading Mabel, if you die here you stay dead." She rubbed her temple, "Now stay down before I have to hurt you for good." She said, she swung her sword cutting a small bit of her hair at this.
"Come on Mabel, I may hate you but I hate the other human even more," Toadstool said.
Toadie then said, "Sir?"
"I mean, Mabel's she our be…huuman, yeah she our human." He said.
"You never were observant." Mabel held up her hands. She's not holding anything. She glared as she saw her hair fall, she been trying to avoid cutting since she got here.
Before Sasha could process this she was smacked in the back of the head by the boomerang.
"Ow, now you're making me mad Mabel," Sasha said.
"You did that to me when you started this."
"And I am also going to finish it."
Mabel was struggling and trying to push her off.
"Stay down Mabel." She said holding her sword at her.
"Leave her alone," Polly said bouncing at this, trying to tackle one of the toad guards.
Sasha threw a knife at Polly hitting her bow.
Her eyes widen. "Polly!" Her eyes started to glow blue and she knocked Sasha away like she was a rag doll.
She was confused, she leaped to her feet. "That was a surprise."
Mabel stood up. Their eyes still glowing. "Stand down Waybright!"
she swung her sword only for Mabel to grab it one-handed. Sasha tried to move it but it wouldn't budge.
Mabel squeezed the sword until it broke into twine. Mabel could see the shock in Sasha's eyes. "Leave. Now!" She snapped. And when her voice raised the tower shook.
"What the heck is that?" She asked.
"No, you leave Wartwoord alone."
The tower slanted and Sasha started to fall.
Mabel seemed unaffected by the world tilting.
"Whoa whoa whoa." She said, trying to grip the thing with her busted sword. She was going to fall.
Mabel blinked. Her eyes returned to normal. "Sasha!" She finally saw what was happening. Longing forward and grabbing onto her hand at the last moment. "Hang on! Just hang on!"
Polly leaped grabbing Mabel by the leg, and Sprig grabbed his sister with the tongue. "Don't worry Sprig and I have your back."
"Come on Boy we need to pull." Hop Pop told his grandson.
"Don't look down. Just look at me. I got you," Mabel could feel them struggling to hold them up, let alone pull them up. "Just breathe. I'm here. I'm here."
Sasha saw the bricks fall around her, the ground underneath Mabel and the frogs were going down, as the toads and frogs left. Grimes was nowhere in sight. "Mabel you can't do it."
"Yes, I can! Please, just this one time believe me!" Mabel had teary eyes as she begged.
"I am too heavy." Her bigger body and armor were just weighing Mabel down. "It looks like it's going to just be one human in the Valley now. Live your best life, Mabel!" She said, letting go and falling beyond what they could reach for.
Mabel screamed out for her. Tears already falling as she's pulled back to safety.
Out of nowhere Grimes appears grabbing Sasha and landing on the wall with a now unconscious Sasha. He landed and looked up but Mabel knew he was looking at her.
"Sasha…" Mabel was in so much shock over the situation that the planters had to drag her away.
She was carried with the other toads, away from Mabel but still alive. No reason they would carry her if she wasn't.
The Planters took her on the Toad trailer and took them home.
Once home Mabel laid in bed wide awake. Trying to process what has happened. And what she did.
Mabel heard the door and looked over at it and saw Polly. "Hey…"
"Hey girl, are you, are you alright?"
"I don't know anymore. But I do know I'm gonna find the others again."
"I talk with Hop Pop we are with you all the way, you know it, girl?"
"I know it," she hugged her friend. Her arms easily encompassed the Polywag's tiny body.
"I am sorry about what happened with Sasha, next time we will be prepared." She said.
"Right…" she froze up a little. "I… I need to get some sleep. Let's talk more tomorrow?"
Once alone Mabel looked out the window. "I wonder what Dipper is doing right now…"

He turn around and saw some small owl dragging a bag, he saw wendy bomber hat. "Hey get back here thief." He rush forward, it got through the door. He open it up, and was in some tent. "Where am I?" My response: Ain't that the truth.
And more coming from her.
Mabel earn it.
And guess who parents love it and only seem to want to buy it.
What do you mean?
