A/N: Happy Easter everyone!

After 14 straight hours of working on this chapter it's finally done! And I think I'm pretty proud of it.

I was definitely struggling with ideas to start off with, I found out that the thing I'm worst at writing is everything in between actual story events that make the actual story feel fleshed out.

I feel like I improved a good bit while writing it!

I tried my best to proofread it as I was going along so if there are any errors, I'm sorry about that.

I have a good idea of how I actually want this story to turn out, i just need to work out the small stuff and then I can actually start writing. So new chapter probably within the next week.

Chapter 2- Wishful thinking

Part 1

A blink, a flash, and we instantly materialize in front of our mansion in Axel.

I instantly collapse on the ground, tasting dirt.

"What the hell?! There's no way using teleport completely drained all my mana."

A sickening noise ensues.

"Ksu ksu ksu... This is divine retribution for abandoning a goddess such as I!"

"Divine retribution my ass! This is probably just because I was already low on mana to begin with."

Without delay, I grab onto one of Aqua's legs and use Drain Touch.

"Gaaah?! K-Kazum,a how dare you use a disgusting lich skill on me without warning!" She attempts to kick my hand away to no avail.

"Ruthlessly attacking a woman out of the blue... what a beast~" Moans Darkness while blushing heavily.

Is it too late to ask for a new party?

As Aqua whines about being defiled, I slowly stand up, meeting resistance I feel a certain archwizard still pressed up against me.

"Megumin how are you still on my back?"

"Fufufu~ you greatly underestimate the grip strength of us Crimson Demons!"

Knowing it's no use arguing with her I give out a sigh and relinquish.

"Kazuma! Kazuma!" Says Aqua

"I'm Kazuma."

"Me and Darkness were just about to go to the guild to flaunt our glory! We're going to leave you two lovebirds alone… ksu ksu ksu."

"Stop making that noise!" I say feeling myself blushing.

Aqua leans in close to me wearing a smug grin before whispering in my ear, "lolicon."

Aqua happily dances out of my reach as I take a swipe at her and skips off dragging a surprised darkness with her.

"Ugh… I hate that stupid woman…" I say filled with irritation.

Noticing a lack of input from my back-bling I call out to her.

"Megumin are you okay?"

"…"

"Kazuma you can put me down now."

What the hell?

I lower myself, she gets off my back and quickly runs inside without looking back.

"Did I do something wrong?" I mumble to nobody but myself.

I watch her small figure run inside and close the door.

With nothing else to do I also head inside, upon entering I don't see Megumin anywhere. I guess she went straight to her room.

Weird… I thought she'd want to celebrate or something. I guess she's just too tired.

I think about going to the kitchen to scrounge around for something to eat but decide against it.

I slowly trudge up the stairs until I reach Megumin's room. I knock softly.

"Megumin you alright in there?"

A few seconds pass before I finally get a response.

"I'm good K-Kazuma."

Yeesh real rich conversation right here.

"Uh, alright?" I mumble out feeling highly confused.

Feeling disturbed about Megumin's sudden strange behavior I just decide to go to my room.

As I sit on my bed I go over the events of today, with every one that passes through my mind I slowly start to succumb to the exhaustion that I hadn't felt until now. The raid… the demon king… dying… annoying party members… Megumin… each thought pulling me further and further down, until I finally do fall asleep…

Part 2

Megumin PoV

I hear footsteps then a gentle knocking on my door.

"Megumin you alright in there?"

Something about him checking on my wellbeing just makes me so happy!

I quickly try to think of a good way to reply that'll make me seem like the witty arch wizard that I am.

"I'm good K-Kazuma"

GAH! That was horrible! Why did I have to stutter, and saying I'm good? There can't be a worse response! Why do I have to get so embarrassed at critical moments?!

I press a pillow to my face trying to stifle my embarrassment to no avail.

I get up and begin pacing around my room.

Surely he remembers what I said the other day. About what we'd do when the demon king was defeated? He remembers right? Ahhh! Is that tonight? Should I go to his room tonight?

I need to clear my head…

I grab my hat and my staff and poke my head out of my door to look down the hallway. Looks like Kazuma went to his room. Perfect!

I sneak downstairs and grab my familiar Chomusuke.

"Come my familiar, we have work to do!"

I quickly run out of the mansion.

If I'm really going to go through with this tonight then there's something I need to get. I think as I swiftly run through the streets of Axel.

Every now and then people see me and congratulate me on the defeat of the demon king. It takes all my willpower not to indulge and show off. But I successfully resist and make it to my destination.

Wiz's magic shop.

As I enter I take notice of Wiz's charred transparent corpse, smoking slightly like she'd recently taken a powerful attack. Just then I'm greeted by the attacker, Vanir.

"Ohohohoho! If it isn't the crimson demon girl with a screw loose who can't stop thinking about what she's going to do tonight with her lover!"

Filled with fury I take a swing at Vanir with my staff, to which he easily dodges.

"I-I'm not thinking about that!"

"Mwahahah! Thou's thoughts say otherwise little girl! Along with those emotions! Moi has not had such a delicious spread of embarrassment and irritation since the last time your beloved came in here!"

"L-little girl!? I'll have you know that I'm old enough to get married… I'm a grown woman!"

"We often tell ourselves lies when we wish to hide from the truth! Wahahahahah! But if thou is so insistent on declaring yourself to be a grown woman, then I have just the product for you!"

Vanir pulls out a small vial containing a swirling semi-clear pink liquid.

"Moi has predicted that this here vial will prove to be most useful to one underdeveloped crimson demon girl when she so happens to enter my shop!"

"Unde-Ugh! Fine! What does the potion do exactly?" I say getting angrier by the second."

"Moi believes that this potion will prevent any… lets say… happy accidents?"

Blushing in humiliation, I grab the vial.

"How much?"

"That'll be one million Eris!"

"WUH-ONE MILLION ERIS!? That's ten times what my parents make in an entire year!?"

"Such is the cost for a desirable product like this!"

Looking at Vanir's gleeful expression, I slowly pull out my wallet and open it. To my horror, the worst possible thing that could happen, happens. A single fly, flies out my the pocket where my money should be.

The only thing I have in here is five thousand Eris and countless coupons for various locations…

This is it, it's time for drastic measures, without hesitation I put on the cutest face in my arsenal.

"Don't you think you can give me a discount? Pretty please?"

"While moi finds it highly amusing seeing thou embarrass yourself like this… Moi supposes a discount can be applied since you did help defeat the demon king… How does five percent sound?"

"Five percent?! What the hell that's barely anything!?"

"Wahahahahaha, worry not little girl! Moi wasn't planning on charging thou anything in the first place! With you being my business partners partner moi expects a large amount of profit out of this encounter! Off you go now goodbye!"

Flushed with indignation, I'm quickly shoved out of the store with the vial in my hand.

"I swear I'll blow up that store one day." I mumble as I walk off heading towards the guild.

But at least I got what I came for, and for free at that!

….

As I arrive in the guild, I see what I can only describe as chaos.

There had to be at least 40 people inside the building and around 15 passed out drunk outside.

Half of the guild was frozen over and people were puking as they slid along the ground like an ice rink. It reeked of alcohol.

I spot Aqua with her telltale blue hair at the bar drinking a full bottle of whiskey.

As I approach her she lets out a long belch and turns to look at me, she's so drunk she looks like she could drop dead at any moment.

"Megumin! I'm glahhd youure herre! Arr you and loverboy done allreheady?"

"W-what?! No! We didn't do anything! As soon as we got home he fell asleep or something…"

Aqua laughs and gives me a little grin.

"Hehehe don't whurry Megumin I'm just theasing youu."

A hint of red crawls onto my cheeks as I start speaking again.

"H-how did you find out about me and… Kazuma?"

Aqua gives a little sigh.

"Comee on Megumin arr you really asking that? It was sooooooh obvious… Thoose little looks you gave each other when you thought noohbody was watching? So cute! Hiccup

I'd never really taken Aqua to being the observant or frankly, intelligent type. So learning of her knowing all along was a bit shocking.

Aqua continues talking, taking on a reminiscent tone.

"Ahhh… I never thought that shitty NEET would ever find love, especially with how perverted he is… Y'know Megumin, back in Japan, Kazuma was kind of a loser, his only female interaction was either his mom or when he went out to buy some new game and had to talk to the cashier. Hehehe you can only imagine his shock seeing a beauty like me after he died."

"Wait you mean to say he died when he was in Japan? I thought his first death was when the Winter Shogun decapitated him?"

"Oh, he didn't tell you? Well that's probably something you should hear from him. If he hasn't told you yet then I don't want to intrude on his privacy…"

Feeling almost sober again due to her purifying power, Aqua quickly guzzles down every bottle of alcohol within her reach and subsequently pukes and passes out.

After learning this shocking new piece of information I can't help but feel a surge of curiosity about Kazuma's past. I had always of course been somewhat interested, every single thing that Kazuma said was from Japan had always been so unique and unlike anything I'd ever seen before. But every time I asked he just gave me vague answers or just refused to answer entirely.

What was it like? Why did he leave? How did he die for the first time?

My mind was racing, burning with questions that couldn't be answered as long as I was here.

I quickly get up from the bar, taking extra care to step over the piles of vomit and rush to the door, as I open it I see Darkness holding a box of potions.

"Hey Megumin! Where are you going? The after-party is just about to start! I got tons of hangover potions here for everyone."

"Sorry can't talk right now Darkness!"

"Uh, okay?"

I squeeze by her and quickly run in the direction of our Mansion.

As I run I realize that infuriating devil never told me how to actually use the potion. I quickly take it out and look at it. Thankfully there appears to be a label attached to the side.

It reads, "Take full potion 1 hour prior to any intimacy, effective period 12 hours.

Have fun little girl! Wahahahaha!" The last part has a little Vanir mask drawn next to it.

Resisting the urge to throw the potion at the nearest wall I quickly pop the cork and guzzle it down. Strangely it tastes like… blueberries?

I hope this really works and isn't some scam item…

As I arrive home it's just barely approaching dusk.

I step inside the house ready to ask Kazuma all the questions that are burning a hole in my skull. Until I realize how sweaty I am, I'm in dire need of a bath. And there's still around 50 minutes until the potion kicks in.

Putting the questions on hold, I head to the washroom to clean myself off.

As I enter I'm in no rush to get undressed, I take off my hat and my familiar Chomusuke jumps off my head and exits the room. "Thank you for all your support today little one." I call after her.

I strip the rest of my clothes and begin heating the water in the bath, it takes no time at all due to the potency of my mana.

I slowly slip in, enjoying the bliss of a warm bath after a long and stressful day. Is there no better feeling? Of course there is, nothing is better than letting off a burst of explosion magic!

I let off a long, deep sigh. All my worries temporarily leaving my body.

My mind wanders back to earlier that day, in the demon kings throne room. It feels like so long ago despite being anything but. I was so afraid when Kazuma teleported away with the Demon king, afraid that at any second the Demon king would teleport back laughing about how he'd murdered him while he was screaming in pain. It almost tore me apart.

When we defeated all the minions in the room and Aqua vanished I got even more worried. Why did Aqua just suddenly disappear? Does that mean the Demon king was defeated? Did Kazuma succeed? But why isn't he teleporting back?

Only after I saw Kazuma appear in front of me did I let relief flood my body, and let a wave of tears flood out. I don't care what he had to do to win, no matter how underhanded it might have been or how cowardly, he won, and he was standing in front of me alive. That's all I cared about.

Opening my eyes I notice the pruning on my fingerpads. I had to have been in here for at least 30 minutes.

I get out of the bath and dry myself off, I wrap up my hair and put on a towel covering my body.

I walk up to my room and put on fresh underwear and wear my pink pajamas. It's now been an hour since I took that potion. I steel my nerves for what I'm about to do. My heart pumps with excitement, I exit my room. Every step I take I get a little bit more excited, my eyes growing my slightest bit brighter and smallest bit more red. Until I finally reach his door.

I ready myself and knock.

"Kazuma? Can I come in?"

Part 3

Kazuma PoV

I hear a knocking on my door and jolt awake. With my night vision skill I quickly adjust to the pit black of my room, but it's still very dark.

"Kazuma? Can I come in?"

Hearing Megumin's voice, I quickly voice out a reply.

"Yea you can come in Megumin"

The door silently opens and I see a small figure slip in and quickly close the door. I hear the lock softly sliding shut shortly after.

Whoa, she's locking the door too?

As she turns around I see two bright lamplights glowing a beautiful scarlet in the blackness of my room.

Captivated by those gorgeous eyes I barely manage to get out a few words.

"M-Megumin, is everything alright?"

"I just wanted to sleep here tonight Kazuma."

She just wanted to sleep here tonight? Wait… is she here because of the promise that we made? Is this it? Is tonight the night I finally graduate from my virginity?

Megumin slowly approached my bed and got close enough to where I can get a clear view of her face and figure, she's wearing her cute pink pajamas.
