Azur Heroes
Chapter 24
Time for the raid. And this won't be as long or reckless as the raid in canon. After all, there's no heroes going forward on this one. This is all on Izuku and his fleet. And he's going to be letting them really have it. And a certain puppy would love to dig her claws into those thugs. On with the show.
(No POV)
"What are we just waiting around for!?" Yuudachi howled while cracking her knuckles in barely restrained aggression. Her claw like rigging doing much the same as she readied to attack. She and a few of the other destroyers were just waiting in some alleyways near the main Shie Hissaki headquarters. Some cloaks over their heads as they watched the walls.
Above the building, Zeroes and Reppus were flying and relaying information to the two carriers from the fleet. "Are you sure we can't get more involved in the fight shikikan? This feels like a great chance for me to prove myself!" Katsuragi says while barely contained energy. Only being somewhat held back by Shinano catching the girl and pulling her back into her sleepy embrace.
Izuku let out a frustrated breath before saying, "no Katsuragi you can't. And Yuudachi, you're waiting not just because I said so. But also, because we need to wait to pull the other goons out to get to mom and Eri. Not to mention getting the civilians clear." The young commander had his own frustrated look after meeting with Sir Nighteye to get the information he wanted. This was mostly due to the fact….
(Flashback)
"You want me to take them alive? Really?" Izuku asked in annoyance while glaring down at the hero. Who was not intimidated even with Musashi and Kii flanking Izuku. "That's right. I absolutely understand that you want to get payback for all of the lives they took and the damage they did. But that is not the heroic way. I don't care that you're a commander. You have to be sensible about this."
Nighteye says this while trying to maintain his hard nosed stance, but he quietly admitted that he was scared of the intensity the commander was giving off. "Uh Izuku. Listen. There is actually a good reason. Don't forget about what happened a month ago. With Laffey and Mirko." Mirio said with a nervous laugh. Bubble Girl and Centipeder meanwhile were trembling in the corner away from the shipgirls.
This gets Izuku's mind to stop as well as making him cool off slightly. Kii does as well and calms down slightly. "Sorry about that. This is just….." Nighteye interrupted him with a hand held up. "I understand. And I'm guessing most of your girls are just as dedicated given how this one has been reacting," he says with a pencil pointing at Kii. Who blushes a little and noted that Inko had been kind of a mother figure to most of the girls on base.
The hero nods slightly and agreed to share what information he had on the organization. "As long as we more of a role in this and we do it as a hero should. You can take them down, but I want them all alive." Sir Nighteye says with as firm of a gaze as he can give.
Izuku grumbles a little but eventually agrees. "On two conditions. One: we handle taking out the members of his gang. And the heroes stay back. You can get the civilians out before and maybe after we start fighting. We don't want them or any of you getting caught up in the fireworks."
Sir Nighteye was a little uneasy about the way Izuku phrased the term "fireworks" but he could accept that the young commander was willing to keep civilians safe. The second condition that Izuku had was that the heroes had to be willing to accept whatever condition the thugs and villains would be in.
"We're all royally pissed about what happened not just to my mom and Eri. They attacked our home, our base. And killed a number of soldiers technically under my command and their protection. So they're going to find out what happens when you fuck around with a bunch of sailors, soldiers, and their comrades. Especially under the eyes of shipgirls."
Izuku's right eye glowed slightly and seemed to crackle with electricity when he said that. Making Mirio and Sir Nighteye nervous again, as they could swear they saw the spirit of a giant warrior behind him. And a few spectral swords as well. "Uh…. Where did those come from?" Mirio asked uneasily. "Don't worry about it." Izuku said fiercely.

"Yeah he told us not to worry about it, but I'm still worrying." Mirio said as he was quietly getting as many people away as he could. His mentor grumbled slightly, and couldn't help but agree. "But we need to trust that he'll do the right thing in the moment. Still, I wonder what all of his plan is." Nighteye said while overseeing the evacuation of a different block.
Behind the headquarters, Izuku was kneeling in a seiza state with his eyes closed. Along with Musashi and Shinano. "Are you sure about this?" he quietly asked the black hair and furred sister. "Indeed. It will help to control and direct what you have gained from me shikikan. Not to mention help to focus your mind on when you need to send us in." Musashi said.
Izuku let out a slightly annoyed breath but a gentle hand on either of his shoulders helped to calm him. Let alone the presences he could feel in front of him. Aside from Musashi and Shinano, Kii was right behind him and ready to fight. And in front, he had Kawakaze, Atago, and Ayanami. With one exception, he had all of the girls who had been standing with him the longest. "Okay. Just need to relax? And feel the flow?" he asked before working to quiet his mind again.
It took a few minutes, but then he felt the crackle of energy spark in him and then he could swear he saw the entire battlefield from above. 'Almost like an out of body, wait not important! Need to focus,' he thinks before looking around the streets. Narrowing his eyes as he spies a few of the goons moving around and through the headquarters. Including the main ones that Sir Nighteye had on record as being extra dangerous.
With another breath he could envision where the yakuza had taken Eri and his mother within the building. Not to mention what the probable situation would be as he and the girls storm the place. "Kirishima. Akatsuki. Suzutsuki Move in and secure the objectives. Yuudachi. Time to make your move in two minutes."
"Finally!" the dog/wolf morph shipgirl said with a light snarl. Her, Oite, Sendai, and Kinu readied themselves to start attacking. Kinu herself had a vicious blue aura about her as she adjusted her cap and drew her sword. Enveloping it in blue flames as she ran her finger along the length of it. The group charges in and smashes through the front gate.
"Hey who… Yuu?" Rappa said as he and a few others came out to engage the invaders. Tengai was also surprised as were the other members of the gang. "What happened to you?" the brawler asked with some excitement growing. Shipgirl snarled before saying, "I remembered who I am and all I can do. And the boss I work for now helped me get even stronger!"
She then leapt at the big bruiser with her hands and the claws of her rigging. Digging into Rappa's arms before kicking him away. Tengai tried to hurry to aid his "partner", but the other girls wouldn't allow that. "You have us to deal with." Kinu said while brandishing her blade towards the criminals. Her cape fluttering behind her as the blade seemed to be consumed in blue flames.
She surged forward and swung her blade at Tengai. Who panicked and put up his barrier as fast as he could. But this wouldn't stop Kinu's sword. The burning blue blade cut right into the golden shield that the monk clothed villain was projecting. Shattering it in a few seconds before getting an up-close look at the golden furious eyes of Kinu. "You're lucky we were asked to take you alive," she said before the mechanical section of her rigging moved forward. Punching Tengai in the stomach with her saya so hard it sent him through three walls.
"Well they never said anything about the state you'd be in," she clarified before using her explosive rounds to knock the others around her back or out. And then using the back of her blade to disable the rest. As Kinu was dealing with the fake monk and his thugs, Oite and Sendai engaged their own opponents. "Mission directive: disable the members of the Shie Hissaki. No killing is allowed. End of report." Oite said while squaring up with a few of the thugs.
Who just snarled before brandishing their guns and quirks at her. "She's just a little girl! We can take her!" on said. And he was quickly singing soprano as Oite brought her nodachi around. Thrusting the full weight in the saya right into his crotch. The other goons paled as the small girl brought the large blade back. Gripping both the saya and the tsuka in each hand. The thugs were shocked until one shouted to shoot her. Oite then showed her prowess with sword as she spun and swung it around. Deflecting and reflecting some of the bullets at the goons. Then holding up and stopping the impact of a thug with a strength enhancing quirk.
"Pathetic," was all she said before knocking the enhancer's arm away. Oite then brought her sword to her side before flipping it over. "I'll just use the back of the blade," she says before unsheathing her sword incredibly fast and striking the villain before he can react. None of his allies could see what was going on. And then they saw the effects as the enhancer collapsed backwards and Oite re-sheathed her nodachi. His body was covered in impact marks from the sword.
Her cap shadowed her eyes as she brought her nodachi to her side again. She adjusted it slightly before saying, "let us finish this." Her red eyes flashing as she said that. Bashing each of the goons with her sword and using the explosive rounds around to knock the goons back. "All targets defeated. Restraining and leaving for authorities. End of report." Oite says before tying a few of the unconscious thugs up with their own belts or whatever else she could find.
Sendai cracked her knuckles before rushing forward to strike a thug in the stomach. Punching six time to his chest before unleashing a one inch punch that sends the man through the wall to the street and into the house on the other side of the street. The others still standing panicked before using their pistols and smgs to shoot at Sendai.
Who nimbly dodged around to get in close with another combo of blows. A punch to the face and chest before leaping up with a roundhouse kick to send the man flying. A different thug pulled out a shotgun and tried to blast her, but she again dodged. Leaping up and around before moving to possibly cause friendly fire. But these thugs weren't quite like the Sirens and stopped shooting when they got in each other's firing line.
"Hm. Well done and honorable," she commented before moving towards the shotgun wielding yakuza member. His allies ducked out of the way as he brought up the gun again and tried to blast Sendai. But she evaded by going down into splits right under the gun. Then using a pair of palm strikes, she made the thug's knees buckle. Before finishing him with a strong uppercut to the groin to send him flying. Screaming at a near subsonic frequency as he went up into the air.
The men winced as they saw that and shouted, "you bitch!" while guarding their groins. Sendai smirked before pointing her guns upward and firing. The thugs ducked slightly but realized that the shots weren't aimed at them. Looking up to see the shells in the sky. And then being blinded by the flashes of light that her shells unleashed. Sendai smirked before rushing and taking each of the goons out with her fists, kicks, or choke holds.
With a crack of her neck (and a crashing down of the goon she punched into the sky) she said, "well I'm done warming up. Let's see if you all can handle my justice!" Back with Rappa and Yuudachi, the big man had been punched further into the building as it was transforming before her and his eyes. But that wouldn't stop her.
She blasted through the walls and clawed apart everything separating the two. "Damn. You're really serious about this. Good. You know, I did often wonder if I'd ever get the chance to really fight you again. You were always the… the former boss's favorite muscle." Rappa said while rolling his shoulders a bit.
"What are you talking about? You always stood with Kai. And the boss should have never let that guy stay in the gang!" Yuudachi snarled while taking her fighting stance. Rappa shrugged and agreed. "Chisaki always beat me and I respect the strong. Then again. You were actually able to hurt Chisaki enough that he can't fix the problem. He's tried using his quirk, but he can't restore the eye you ripped out."
Rappa cracked his knuckles once before saying, "let's see how much bark and bite the Great Hound of the Shie Hissaki has." Rushing forward and unleashing a barrage of punches onto Yuudachi. Who snarls before bringing her rigging around to defend against the onslaught of blows. 'Damn! He's always been strong but it feels like he's even stronger!' the shipgirl thought as she felt herself being pushed back. But in the interval when he has to let his quirk relax, Yuudachi makes her move.
She thrusts forward with a few claw swipes and slashes from her rigging. 'Gotta take him out now and get to Eri!' she thinks with a snarl. Rappa winces and panics slightly as he takes a slash from Yuudachi's hands and then dodges the claws from her rigging. "You're not messing around! Good! Eat this!" the large man says and unleashes his bullet punches once again on the wolf/dog girl.
This time she takes a few hits and is really knocked back. 'This is taking too long! I have to finish this! But I can't just kill him!' she thinks before using the claws on her rig to stop her momentum. Rappa doesn't give her more time to think though. Picking up and throwing some of the damaged parts of the room at the girl. As well as punching some sections to cause the ceiling to fall down on her.
Yuudachi cursed as she ducked away and dodged the debris. And she wasn't ready for Rappa rushing her and giving her a barrage of blows. Even causing some damage to her rigging before getting sent flying again. "Yeowch! That gear of yours sure is sharp. Can't underestimate it." Rappa commented while taping up some of his hand that had been cut by the claws from Yuudachi's rigging.
For the shipgirl though, she was currently very quiet as she pulled herself from the wall that Rappa had punched her into. 'Why am I hesitating? Is it because these guys were part of the family? Or am I letting my anger and… wait. I forgot. Izuku had a plan.' Yuudachi realizes while leaning forward and rolling her shoulders slightly.
Rappa keeps a close eye on her and notices that she's letting the tension out of her body. "I was caught up in the fact that Eri and Inko had been taken. I forgot that my role isn't to save them this time." Yuudachi says while tightening and relaxing her hands. Almost as if she was extending and retracting claws. This makes Rappa uneasy and he rushes in to try and take Yuudachi out quickly.
But the girl moves to the side faster than he can track and is forced to block as she blasted from her guns to propel herself forward. Kicking the villain with all the might she had. This makes Rappa cough out in pain as he hears Yuudachi talking to herself again. "Of course. It's because I was caught up in what you called me. The Hound of the Shie Hissaki. That was my nickname while I couldn't remember who I really was. I thought I should fight you like that to honor who I used to be."
Rappa shakes out of the pain he'd been feeling and rushed the shipgirl again. Throwing punch after punch with as much power and speed as he could muster. And to his shock, Yuudachi wasn't blocking anymore. Instead, she was evading by the thinnest margins. Even cutting him slightly with a few strikes and strokes from her rigging's claws.
The enforcer finally noticed as his arms started bleeding more and he backed away. "You've always been one who believed in fighting with nothing but your body and especially your quirk right? Well. It's time you face off with me with this new body. And one last thing. I'm not the Hound of the Shie Hissaki." Both sets of claws seem to light themselves on fire as a growl rouses out of her throat.
"No. I'll show you the might of the Nightmare of Solomon!" she says before rearing back and howling. The visage of a large red eyed wolf appearing behind her and howling as well.
