Fade to Fenton Works. Jack and Maddie were sleeping in the Master Bedroom. Soon, Vlad appeared as he passed through the wall. He soon notices Jack sleeping, knowing that Antasma has got into his collegemate's dream.
Vlad: There it is. (Walks closer to Jack who was sleeping.) Jack, I'm getting worried that you are under Antasma's curse. I guess I have no choice, (Goes invisible.) but to invade your dream!
Vlad overshadowed Jack, going straight into his dream. Inside Jack's dream, it was the same dream he had earlier. Vlad was in Fenton Works' Lab upon noticing his collegemate working on the Ecto-Hammer.
Vlad: I think I may remember this. Jack has a nightmare about the Dark Spirit, which is Antasma! I better get out of this lab and have a confrontation with this Slavic spirit!
Vlad then got out of the basement and went outside of the house. He flew out in search of Antasma until he noticed Casper High.
Vlad: I believe he must have got into that school! I better go in!
Vlad then got into Casper High. He was in the school's storage room.
Vlad: Man, this school has a lot of storage around here. I better look around.
Vlad then looks around at the school's storage room.
Vlad: Hm, no sign of that Antasma spirit there.
Antasma: (Off-screen) I heard that you're looking for me.
Vlad turns around and notices Antasma, who was in his true form.
Vlad: (Shocked:) AHHHHHHH!
Antasma: (Shocked:) SCREEK!
Vlad: (Shocked:) AHHHHHHH!
Antasma: (Shocked:) SCREEK! (Soon, he stops screaming. Annoyed:) Alright, enough of this nonsense!
Then Antasma floats mid-air off the storage crates and approaches Vlad.
Vlad: (Worriedly:) You must be…the…the…the…
Antasma: (Mimicking Vlad.) The…the…the… (Soon reveals his name.) the bat king, ANTASMA!
Vlad: (First shocked:) AHHHHHHH! (Quickly got enraged:) So you must be the one who caused those nightmares in Amity Park! I don't want it to happen to those people and not even my collegemate, Jack! (Soon, the pink ghost ray on his hands began to glow.) This time, you're gonna regret this!
Vlad blasts the pink ghost ray onto Antasma, but he quickly avoids the blast, only hitting a storage crate.
Antasma: Hm, not bad, but you couldn't just aim at me basically just for an amount of time.
Vlad: (Enraged:) Alright! You ask for it!
Vlad blasts the pink ghost ray again at Antasma, but he avoids the blast again, only knocking out a storage crate. Vlad suddenly noticed Antasma was gone.
Vlad: (Confused:) Huh? Where did that Slavic bat go?
Antasma: (Off-screen) Right up there, Vlad!
Vlad looks up. The screen pans up to Antasma who is upside down on Casper High's storage room ceiling.
Vlad: What the?! How did you get up there?!
Antasma: Vut do you expect? You vouldn't believe in me since then. After all, some people thought that I'm THE Dark Spirit after all!
Vlad: (Seriously:) So this is why you caused those nightmares in Amity Park?
Antasma: Vut? No! That's totally not the point! Vell, let me tell you about how I became the dark overlord thanks to my curiosity. (Fade to an image of Antasma as a normal bat living flying.) Vhen I vas a normal bat living, I vas just a bat creature in Pi'illo Island, doing the things like all bats do. (Fade to an image of bat Antasma noticing a Pi'illo sleeping beside a tree.) Suddenly, things began to change vhen I approached a Pi'illo sleeping. I vas curious at first until I found out that Pi'illo is having a nightmare. (Fade back to Antasma.) This is vhere it all began. I fed myself a nightmare from the Pi'illo and soon, I started to feel…VERY POWERFUL! (Fade to an image of Antasma smiling evilly while the Pi'illos were sleeping.) I continued feeding on nightmares until I became the dark overlord I became today. (Fade to an image of Antasma noticing a Pi'illo nervously looking at the Dark Stone.) That vasn't just all. I noticed a Pi'illo vishing upon a dark artifact called the Dark Stone. The Dark Stone has the power to grant any vish as long as they possess it. I knew that this must be it! (Fade to Antasma taking the Dark Stone.) So setting my eyes onto this dark artifact, I took the Dark Stone for myself, but however, (Fade to an image of Antasma surrounded by the Pi'illos, including the Zeekeeper.) I vas attacked by a group of Pi'illos and especially the Zeekeeper, stopping me from vishing on the Dark Stone. (Fade into an image of Antasma breaking the Dark Stone before he was sealed into the Dream World, leaving the Pi'illos who are touched by the chunks of the dark artifact turned into stones.) They managed to imprison me into the Dream Vorld, but before the sealing was complete, I broke the Dark Stone, viping out the Pi'illo race! (Fade back to Antasma.) After that long imprisonment into the Dream Vorld, I got out of there thanks to Bowser, King of the Koopas….until he betrayed me. I vas now defeated by those pesky plumbers, Mario and Luigi. Many, many years after that long defeat, I vas soon revived after the Pi'illo accidentally vishing on the shatter of the Dark Stone.
Vlad: (Seriously:) So that's why you caused everyone to have nightmares about you!
Antasma: Vlad, Vlad, Vlad, I know you're mad but…(Gets off the school's storage room ceiling rightside up and picks up a purple long rope from the inside of his cape.) Feel the Power Negation from my rope!
Vlad: (Shocked:) What?!
Antasma then lassos Vlad with his rope, tying him up.
Vlad: (Struggling to get out from the rope he got tied on. Angrily:) Let me go, you dingbat!
Antasma: (Smiling smugly.) Oh, Vladdie, Vladdie, Vladdie, vut do you expect? You think that silly ghost ray of yours draining from the block? Vell, I think that I may vin this now. This time, YOU can't stop me!
Vlad: (Still tied up. Seriously:) Look, Antasma, I know this may be an evil plan, but promise me that if you let me go, I will help you!
Antasma: (Overhearing Vlad's words and turns into shock.) Vhy, Vlad, I…I didn't know that you could help me. Vell, vhy of course I'll let you go.
Antasma then loosens his rope from Vlad.
Vlad: Man, being tied up is a total nightmare! (To Antasma:) Alright, Antasma, now can you tell me how I have to get out of Jack's dream?!
Antasma: SCREEK! Vell, the only vay to get out of your collgemate's dream is… I may have to say that you have to get out of his body.
Vlad: But how?
Antasma: I better pick you up.
Fade to Jack sleeping with Maddie in the Master Bedroom. Soon, Antasma, who was carrying Vlad on foot, got out of Jack, getting out of his dream. Antasma then drops Vlad, causing him to crash on the floor.
Vlad: (Rubbing his head.) Sheesh. (Turns around to see a sleeping Jack.) I hope that Jack won't wake up from his own nightmare.
Antasma: SCREEK! So anyvay, I never saw you being…very powerful. I vonder vhy, but I am sure that ghost ray of yours seems to interest me.
Vlad: (Sighs in annoyance.) Antasma, I know how powerful my ghost powers are, but you, you didn't even speak full English!
Antasma: Vut? It's just my Slavic accent.
Vlad: Alright, I think this conversation almost woke Jack up. Antasma, maybe we should get out, right?
Antasma: I'm on with you.
Fade to Vlad flying with Antasma flying after him in his bat form in the night sky.
Antasma: So Vlad, can you tell me how you get your ghost powers?
Vlad: (Seriously:) It's all thanks to Jack's proto-portal that will lead to the Ghost Zone.
Antasma: Are you serious, or no?
Vlad: Of course, I am serious! Why do you ask?!
Antasma: I vas only just curious. Anyvay, vhen did that proto-portal event happen?
Vlad: Well, you never know when, but I least I could tell you. It was in the early-mid 1980s, and me, Jack and Maddie attended the University of Wisconsin.
Antasma: (Interrupting Vlad.) VHOA, VHOA, VHOA, VHOA, VAIT A MINUTE! That's vhere you live in?! Visconsin?
Vlad: Yeah, me and my friends were born in Wisconsin in the 1960s. We're originally friends in college, but however, (Sighs.) everything in our friendship is about to shatter into a million pieces.
Antasma: (Curiously:) Vut happened then? I'm just curious.
Vlad: Well…
Fade into a flashback from the Danny Phantom first season episode, "Bitter Reunions". It shows the University of Wisconsin's laboratory, revealing college-age Vlad, Jack and Maddie in lab coats. There was a proto-portal on the table. Vlad is questioning it while Jack and Maddie seem very pleased about it.
Vlad: I'm telling you, Jack, it won't work.
Jack: Bogus, V-Man! It totally will! This Proto-Portal is guaranteed to bust open the wall into the ghost dimension.
Vlad, still skeptical, looks through the portal for a better look. Meanwhile, Jack and Maddie went to another table. Maddie picks up a stack of papers while Jack holds the remote for the portal.
Maddie: (Noticing something wrong on the paper.) Jack, these calculations aren't right.
Jack: (Not paying attention.) Banzai!
Jack then activates the proto-portal with the remote. The portal starts up and swirls green in its center, but something begins to go wrong. The proto-portal shoots out an ectoplasmic blast right straight onto Vlad's face.
Vlad: (Screaming:) Aaah! Bogus!
Soon, the blast stops, and Vlad covers his face with his hands. His black hair was now white and there's green smoke coming from his head. Vlad turned to Jack and Maddie and uncovered his face, causing them to be very shocked. Vlad's face is covered in pimples and his eyes were glowing an electric blue.
Vlad: (Narrating from present-day:) Thanks to Jack's proto-portal, I got a horrible case of ecto-acne, a disease that takes effect on humans and especially ghosts. (College Vlad covers his face again.) It absolutely ruined my college life…(College Vlad runs off.) and my whole social relationship with Jack and Maddie. (End flashback.) Few years has passed since that incident, and I found out what my pal, Jack, had done.
Antasma: Vut did he do?
Vlad: (Sighs in sadness.) May 9, mid-late 1980s, Jack was married to Maddie. Oh, how my heart would break. (Angrily:) I can't stand that my collegemate seems to betray me in such a way!
Antasma: So vhy did you try to vin over Maddie?
Vlad: (Seriously:) That's not the point! After Jack and Maddie are married, I suddenly discovered that I have ghost powers. I have decided I'm going to use my ghost powers for evil and I make my first million dollars with a series of invisible burglaries in Wisconsin. This may explain why I tried to win over Maddie's heart!
Antasma: Vell, that explains everything.
Vlad: Yeah, I know. If Jack wouldn't be the one suffering the same fate, I wouldn't ever be the villain.
A moment later, Vlad went to his mansion in Madison, Wisconsin with Antasma following him. Vlad lands and changes his ghost form back into his normal human form.
Antasma: (Upon noticing Vlad's mansion.) Oooh! Vut a big castle you have!
Vlad: Don't get me any ideas, Antasma! It's my mansion!
Antasma: You lived there? How? I vonder vhy…
Vlad: You see, I lived in this mansion in Wisconsin until the Guys in White came and demolished it.
Antasma: Vhy?
Vlad: You know, it's all because they suspected that I was holding ghost contraband, (Getting a bit serious:) thanks to that accusation done by Danny.
Antasma: Vlad, I may think that your mansion is rebuilt. How come?
Vlad: Hmm…I can't put my finger on what's become of my mansion just after I became mayor, or tried my attempt to take over the Earth. It would be possible for my mansion to get rebuilt.
Antasma: Come on! Let's go into the mansion of yours!
Fades to Antasma opening the door with Vlad following him. To Antasma's surprise, he saw the mansion entrance hall.
Antasma: (Surprised:) Vow…your mansion is bigger than my Neo Bowser Castle.
Vlad: Well, you wouldn't call my mansion a castle eventually!
Antasma: Vho cares about that? I mean…you're the richest man in all of Visconsin AND Amity Park, if I may count.
Vlad: I know, but my ghost powers kept me struggling thanks to all of the battles I have gone through. (Groans in annoyance.) I always felt the pain Danny brings! That may explain why I owned Vladco, just to find a way to defeat that ghost boy!
Antasma: Vell, I haven't seen your ghost portal yet.
Vlad: (Started to get curious:) Hm? That's truly caught my attention. Why don't you follow me to the laboratory in the basement?
Antasma then follows Vlad down to the basement laboratory. Antasma, feeling quite surprised about the laboratory, looks around and notices the Ghost Portal.
Antasma: (Amused:) You know, Vlad, I think this laboratory of yours may remind me of something.
Vlad: Remind you of what?
Antasma: Vell, thanks to that promise you made, I started to have a desire to take over the vorld, but I didn't have the Dream Stone. I may say this because…I have you on my si-
But before Antasma could say his speech, a pink ghost ray was soon blasted at him. He was knocked down onto the floor and when he woke up, Antasma saw Vlad, who was now in his ghost form, floating. Smoke coming out of Vlad's hand, it seems that he was the one who blasted the ghost ray at Antasma.
Antasma: (Angrily:) VUT?! OUCH!
Vlad: (Seriously:) Hmph! I don't truly work well with others!
Antasma: (Enraged:) SCREEK! VUT DO YOU MEAN BY THIS?!
Vlad: I mean you're such a stupid idiot! You thought you were using me? ME?! Antasma, I was playing you like a bat fiddle, and besides, the promise that I have given you earlier? The promise I have made was a lie! The promise is a lie!
Antasma: (First confused:) Vut in the….(then started to realize Vlad's promise was a lie. Devastated:) NO! How could you?!
Vlad: I'll tell you how, Antasma. Listen, you know that I can't vork for some Slavic dingbat like you is TRULY beyond me! At least, I can tell you why. This mansion, the plans for trying to defeat Danny, the whole attempt to win Maddie's heart?! They're all MINE, you hear me?! All the things were my doing! (Stared at Antasma very seriously.) Well, Antasma, why don't you have yourself a pity party? Me, I'm done with you.
Vlad floats away while Antasma watches in devastation. Antasma then starts to get furious.
Antasma: If that Vlad could betray me in a situation like this…there's one vay that he'll never forget!
Antasma transforms back into his true form from his bat form and quickly flies away to set up a trap. Fade to Vlad floating around in the laboratory.
Vlad: That dingbat…he always thinks he'll take over the world. That's what I was doing! Antasma shall not always capture a villain like me.
Antasma: (Off-screen) That's vut you may think…ah-ah-ah-ah-ah…
Suddenly, a huge cage drops onto Vlad, trapping him.
Vlad: (Shocked:) GAH! (Turning around and noticing Antasma. Angrily:) Antasma! You dingbat! Why did you lock me up?!
Antasma: Vladdie, vhy are you so mad? If you vouldn't told me that the promise you made vas a lie, I almost was about to make my plan to make EVERYBODY to have their nightmares!
Vlad: (Seriously:) You can't take it so seriously! I know this was an evil plan, but YOU ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MIND!
Antasma: Oh, vhy you always keep on complaining? You don't have to be such a fruit loop right now.
Vlad: (Enraged:) HEY! I'M NOT A FRUIT LOOP, AND YOU KNOW IT!
Antasma: Hmph! You're acting like my sidekick, Bowser. He's always the Koopa King with a bad temper. Anyvay, since that ghost powers of yours is that vut you have, you may know vut I am going to do to you!
Vlad: What are you gonna do, Antasma?
Antasma: I'm going to… (Pans closer to him.) SUCK YOUR SOUL, AND YOUR GHOST POWERS, TOO!
Vlad: (Nervously:) Oh, butter nuts!
