Episode 5

The next day

Unlike Marco and Star who had an excuse, the boys and girls on set should really understand that not everyday on Total Drama Action would begin with a good night's sleep. While the trailer's were a big step from the rundown and vermin infested cabins on Camp Wawanakwa. There was literally nothing stopping Chris from waking them up yet again with whatever theatrics he came up with.

In this case, everyone was woken up by the sounds of a phone ringing. That alone got everyone feeling confused as the trailer didn't come with phones and Chris had a rule about there being no electronics. They all looked around before turning to Marco who looked at it.

"Huh? Unknown Number? Ignore." Marco said, sounding tired.

Then it began to ring again but Marco ignored it.

"Telemarketers man." Harold said with a yawn.

Then it rang again but Marco ignored it once again. Only for this process to repeat two more times before Duncan had enough and got out of bed.

"Give me that!" Duncan said as he rudely took the phone and answered it. "Hello Scammer? What do you want?"

"Scammer? That's a rude accusation. It's bad enough none of you bothered to answer the phone." said a creepy voice that made Duncan roll his eyes.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Mister "I sound like a creepy stalker guy". I didn't know you had feelings." Duncan said sarcastically.

"You're quite the character Duncan." the voice said.

"Huh? Do I know you? Are you some nerd I shoved down the toilet or something?" Duncan asked suspiciously.

"Put me on speaker then tell me what your favorite horror movie is." the voice said.

"Why should I listen to you?" Duncan asked, sounding aggressive.

"Because you wouldn't want to lose the challenge, now would you?" the voice asked.

Duncan rolled his eyes as he realized this was probably Chris or someone else. So he humored the voice and put it on speaker.

"Hey, someone give me a cheesy horror movie title." Duncan whispered to everyone.

"Pluto Nash." Owen said.

"That's not a horror movie." Justin said.

DJ murmured something in his sleep.

"American Psycho." Harold suggested.

"Um, uh, the movie about the alien that kills people in Antarctica." Marco suggested.

"The Thing?" Duncan asked. "Fine, my favorite movie is The Thing."

The voice knew it was a lie but played along, "An oldie but a goodie. Now let's play a little trivia game."

"You have to be kidding me." Duncan said with a groan.

"Just a little game. One simple game. No embarrassment, no shame and no pain. What's there to lose?" the voice asked, further irritating Duncan.

Surprisingly, Owen had a sense of familiarity with the voice as he looked out the window.

"Answer this Duncan, what was the name of the girl that Michael Myers stalks?" the voice asked.

Duncan opened his mouth but slapped his head as he forgot the name of the heroine. Despite the movie franchise being a disorganized mess, he remembered that most of the films revolved around one woman whose name he forgot.

"What was the name?" Duncan asked everyone else.

"Martha?" Harold asked with a shrug.

"Brianna?" Owen asked nervously.

"Is it Ripley?" Marco asked.

"Wrong movie, Marco." the voice taunted.

Duncan growled, "Quiet you! It's… it's… augh! It's Lon– No! Laurie! The girl's name is Laurie!"

The voice paused for a moment before responding.

"Correct! Well done! I just hope the girls are as smart as you all are! Goodbye!" the voice said.

"Hey! No! Don't you–"

The phone then disconnected much to Duncan's frustration.

"What the heck was that!?" Owen asked, thinking a serial killer was on the loose.

The girl's trailer

Similar to the boys, the girls were having a good sleep before a loud ringing woke them up. Unlike with Marco, Star didn't have a phone with her and instead, they found one by the sink of their bathroom. So after some hesitation and minor debating, Heather answered the phone.

"Who is this? How did you get this phone in here? And why are you calling us so early in the morning!?" Heather angrily asked.

"Hello Heather, a good morning to you too." the voice asked.

"I swear, if this is Chris or some intern–"

"Put me on speaker, Heather. Then tell me your favorite horror movie." the voice said, repeating what he did with Duncan.

"No, you don't get to make up your own rules!" Heather argued.

"I believe I do. If you're willing to hurt yourself for a million dollars. Where's the pain in playing my game?" the voice asked.

"Oh you want me to play a game? What are you? That stupid puppet from that one movie?" Heather asked.

"I like games. So please, put me on speaker." the voice said, further annoying ehr.

Heather held back a snarl as she assumed Chris or someone else was doing this. So she put it on speaker and humored the voice like Duncan did.

"My favorite movie is your lack of acting talent." Heather said in a rude tone.

"That's not a movie." the voice replied calmly.

Leshawna rolled her eyes, "Maybe losing Gwen was a bad idea."

"Oh, I get it. It's a horror movie challenge." Beth whispered to Lindsay and Star.

"Ew gross, I hate horror movies." Star said as she gagged.

"Me too." Lindsay said as she wanted to vomit.

Leshawna decided to take the phone from Heather and take charge.

"Listen Chris or whoever you are, my name is Leshawna and I'm winning your dumb game. So for your question, my favorite movie is Evil Dead." she said.

"Interesting choice, That's one movie that hasn't earned a reboot yet." the voice said as Leshawna smirked. "Now then, time for some quick trivia."

"Ask away, wimp. I ain't no horror movie genius like Gwen but I can win this." Leshawna said confidently.

"Okay, then who was the killer in Friday the 13th?" the voice asked.

Leshawna snickered as everyone in the trailer, except Star, recognized that movie. Leshawna was about to answer like it was the easiest question ever. When she stopped and thought about it.

"Wait, you mean the franchise or the movie?" she asked suspiciously.

"The movie of course, the very first one." the voice answered.

Leshawna looked up and gently hit her own forehead, but as she prepared to answer. Heather took the phone for herself after getting impatient.

"Jason Voorhees, the original hockey masked maniac." Heather said with a smirk.

"WRONG!" the voice yelled, making her wince.

"What!? How is that wrong!?" Heather angrily asked.

"Heather, you idiot! The killer was Jason's mom, Pamela!" Leshawna yelled.

"Leshawna's right, Jason wasn't a killer until the sequel came out. His mother was doing all the killings and now you're going to be penalized." the voice said.

Heather scoffed at the voice and Leshawna, "Oh, what are you going to do? Make us watch more horror movies?"

"I'll do you one better. Walk outside and look for your host." the voice instructed.

"Heck no! I ain't going out there!" Leshawna said as she instantly felt suspicious.

Just as the voice prepared to respond, Heather put on her clothes and walked out without a care.

"Heather, stop! The voice might be a murderer!" Beth warned.

"A murderer!? Is that who's calling!?" Star asked, realizing the gravity of the situation.

Heather scoffed, "I'm not wasting any more time. This is clearly part of a new challenge."

Heather continued to ignore the girls while Star quickly got dressed and ran out with her wand.

"Don't worry, I'll catch the murderer!" Star shouted.

Leshawna and the girls just watched before reluctantly leaving the trailer. Leshawna knew they wouldn't die given how they've been through more extreme situations. However, Naruto isn't obligated to care if they get maimed and Chris just needs to make sure no one is dead or mentally dead.

"Come on, we gotta go at some point." Leshawna said as she led the way.

Lindsay and Beth held each other's hands as they thought there was a real killer in the loose.

At the same time, the boys came out as they chose to take on the challenge. All of them except Owen who still had bad memories of Naruto's castle.

Then Izzy, who was silent the whole time, just woke up.

"Hm? Where did everyone go?" She asked.

Later

The two teams approached a set where they assumed Chris was at. As they pondered what to expect, they heard a loud scream followed by a squishing noise.

"What the heck was that!?" Owen asked.

"Who knows, but worst case scenario. We need some bleach and a gasoline canister." Duncan said.

Then to everyone else's concern, Star provided the materials but had no idea why Duncan wanted it.

"So are we cleaning something or burning something?" Star asked.

"Hold your horses." Duncan said as he led them to the set.

Where they saw Chris impaled to a wall with a piece of equipment going through his chest. A second later, everyone but Duncan screamed.

"And there goes our money." Duncan said.

"I guess Naruto or one of his kids had enough of him." Heather said with wide eyes.

Then Izzy arrived, "Hey guys, what's… oh. Uh, does anyone have a shovel?"

Before Star summoned a shovel, Chris came to life and removed the equipment. Revealing it was just a prop taped to his chest. He also jumped down revealing he was attached to a harness.

"Welcome to the slasher film challenge!" Chris announced, making everyone sigh in relief. "And as you can guess, slashers require a lot of gore with special effects."

Nearly everyone had to take a minute to catch their breath after seeing Chris suddenly come to life. There were some that noticed that instead of screaming, Beth made a weird sound.

"So, does anyone want to know how practical effects work?" Chris asked.

"NO!" everyone shouted.

"Good, because this is a half hour show and we have a lot to cover. So all of you get your butts to the forest set for the challenge." Chris said.

"Oh great, back to camp yet again." Heather said sarcastically.

"Aw, nostalgia." Izzy said before glaring at Owen.

"What? What did I… oh. You're mad about me leaving you in the castle, aren't you?" Owen asked.

Izzy glared for a few more seconds before snorting, "Forget about it. But you know, this means another killer is on the loose."

Harold sighed, "I know how this ends."

Harold's Confessional

"I'm not one to defend traitors or feel regret after getting rid of them. Except now would have been a good time to have Gwen." Harold said with a sigh. "Oh well, my mad skills will have to score us the victory."

Harold then proceeded to do some magic tricks with some playing cards only to spill them all over the confessional room.

DJ's Confessional

"Aw man! Why did we have to do horror stuff!? This got me eliminated last time!" DJ complained.

"Man up, DJ! You shouldn't get scared because of a man with a mask and a knife or chainsaw! Be a man!" Chef shouted off screen.

"Yes Chef." DJ said, hanging his head low.

Beth's Confessional

Beth let out a scream which came out sounding like a squeaky toy that lost the ability to move air properly.

"See? I was born with a condition that doesn't let me scream properly. I guess I'm out of the competition for scream queen. Hopefully that isn't a big factor in the challenge." Beth said with a hopeful smile.

Back on set

Once the two teams arrived at the forest set, Chris came up to them with a couple of sketch pads.

"Okay, before we get started. I want to review the genre with all of you." Chris began to say. "Imagine every great horror movie you've ever seen but unlike season one's horror challenge. Think of some scary stalker you really want to avoid."

"Stalker?" Star asked.

"I think that's another word for killer." Marco said but still confused her.

"Oh, I get it. Sometimes the killer isn't human or sometimes they become inhuman. Like Jason in Friday Part 6 and onwards." Harold explained.

"And here I thought you would pee your pants from scary movies." Duncan said in a joking tone.

"I'll have you know, I have my limits but I can handle a guy with a machete chasing jocks, cheerleaders and preppies." Harold said.

Leshawna's Confessional

Leshawna crossed her arms and sighed, "Unless Harold secretly pees himself. I think he watched those movies to see karma on those kinds of people."

Leshawna already realized that Duncan was far from being Harold's first bully. Maybe he's the worst, but Leshawna can guess that hot girls, athletes and rich kids are typical people who like to target nerds like Harold for bullying.

Back on set

Chris then gave one sketch pad to each team much to their confusion.

"Before I go into details regarding the challenge. I want you all to use your imagination to picture your typical killer from a slasher film. They can be anything you want." Chris instructed.

"What? Are you going to scare us with our own drawings?" Heather asked.

"Hm, something like that." Chris said with a smirk.

Heather rolled her eyes and watched as her teammates got to work. Which got started with Duncan and Harold bickering about a killer. Thus forcing Leshawna to step in.

"Okay boys, Leshawna don't wanna see no sass or drama. Look, each of you do one drawing on a different paper. We don't know what Chris is up to and I don't care. Just get it done." Leshawna said.

Harold sighed and gave Duncan the pencil and the delinquent got to work first.

As both teams started to draw, Naruto pulled up in a police cruiser while dressed like a police officer. As he pulled over, he rolled down the windows to reveal a sleeping girl right by his passenger seat.

"Hey Captain Uzumaki, the sketches are almost in." Chris said.

"Good to hear." Naruto said with a nod.

"I see you brought your kid with you today." Chris commented.

Chris was playing dumb as he was already aware of the girl and her unique ability. Which was something the show used twice in the last season and would add to the realism of this challenge.

"Everyday is Bring Your Child to Work Day to me. Today, I'm taking Namine with me." Naruto explained.

"That's cool." Chris simply said.

A few minutes later, Chris received the sketches and saw Duncan drew a typical robed murderer with a mask and bladed weapons. While Harold drew what looked like a human personifying a monster by mixing a skinny killer dressed in tribal wear to look more monstrous.

"The Screaming Gaffers have some interesting takes. Now, what about the Killer Grips?" Chris asked.

The Grips started off by showing a cute girl dressed like a magical girl much to Chris' confusion.

"Lindsay wasn't paying attention to the challenge." Owen admitted.

"Uh…"

"Flip to the next page, we tried some other stuff." Owen said.

Chris nodded and flipped through the next pages. Which showed different creepy serial killers with different weapons. What caught his eye was a girl who looked like a cross between Harley Quinn and a goth girl serial killer.

"That last one was Izzy's." Owen said.

"Noted." Chris said.

The host then handed the sketches to Naruto who scanned them over. Naruto paid particular attention to Izzy's drawing and couldn't help but feel like he stared at Milim if she were some psychotic goth girl.

"I'll put an APB on the artistic renders." Naruto said, getting into character.

"Thanks officer. Safe travels." Chris said as Naruto drove off.

"I knew it, he's going to make those killers come to life or something to scare us." Heather said with an annoyed expression.

"As long as it's not Izzy's drawing. I'm good." Owen said as he wiped some sweat off of his brow.

Izzy snorted, "Aw, I wanted to give that one to Milim. Oh well! I guess her dad can hang onto it."

"So Chris, what is the challenge?" Beth asked, making everyone focus.

"Oh, it's pretty simple. Just survive the "night" in the camp." Chris said.

"You mean this set? There's barely any room here to walk around." Duncan said.

Chris just smirked as he slowly backed away the moment some mist slowly started to fill the area. It didn't impress anyone until the mist got too thick. Then after a while, they tried to fan the mist away only to find themselves in a real forest with a summer camp.

"Did he teleport us to a camp!?" Owen asked fearfully.

"Hey, where did the princess go?" Lindsay asked, noticing Star disappeared.

"Hey, Marco's gone too!" DJ pointed out.

Everyone looked around, wondering what was going on.

With Naruto

As Naruto drove away, he saw his daughter slowly waking up and letting out a yawn.

"Papa?" Namine asked.

"I'm right here, Namine. If you're ready, I have some drawings for you to look at." Naruto said as he pointed at the sketchpads.

Namine stretched her arms before looking at the sketches and frowning. They weren't what she was into but noticed the one Izzy made. She thought it looked like a weird version of her older sister.

Namine then decided to pull out her own sketchbook and started making some concept drawings to adjust the sketches. Just as she began to finish, Naruto pulled up to a makeshift police station. Which was soon surrounded by the woods thanks to Namine's drawings.

'A mix of illusions and thought transmissions. I end up forgetting how powerful Namine can be despite lacking the same firepower as her other siblings.' Naruto thought.

Naruto may be bad at remembering which of his offspring procreated but he was well detailed with what abilities they have and where they can evolve. So as he picked up Namine and took her into the police station with him, he saw Medusa sitting on a chair behind a desk and feeding Maggie who began to fall asleep.

"Welcome back." Medusa greeted.

"You seem to be enjoying yourself." Naruto said.

Medusa was about to reply when she felt an ache. Which got Naruto to quickly stand by her side as Namine looked worried.

"Don't worry, I think the little one just wants to come out earlier than expected." Medusa said.

Namine looked worried for her mother before looking at her belly which began to swell up. Her attention was then focused on Maggie who was waving her hands around. It didn't go unnoticed by Medusa who smiled at her daughter.

"Namine, when you're finished. You can hold Maggie if you want." she said.

Namine smiled before running to a desk to finish up her drawing. Leaving her parents alone with the girl's infant sister.

"So dear, what did those children draw?" Medusa asked.

Naruto handed her the sketches of the potential killers that Namine will bring to life. He saw looks of curiosity and interest in his wife's eyes.

"I see."

Back on set

Despite initial suggestions for both teams to stick together as it was a factor that horror movies fail to stick to. The two teams split up and tried to figure out how to win the challenge.

"Okay, we got teleported to some scary woods somewhere. No biggie, right?" Owen asked.

"Sure." Justin said, humoring him.

"You know, I heard that it's usually the couple that are making out in the woods somewhere that are killed first." Beth said as she leaned closer to Justin.

"They are?" Lindsay asked with a nervous face.

"Pretty sure." Beth answered.

Lindsay's look of fear disappeared as she grabbed onto Justin's arm, "I think it's worth it."

Justin raised a brow, wondering if this was some ploy for the girls to make him kiss one of them. While he did understand that, he didn't want Beth to be right and have the killer come to him.

"Hey Owen, do you and Izzy maybe have an idea?" Justin asked.

"I have a new thought process if that's what you're asking. That would be to leave no man or woman behind." Owen said, hoping to make up for his past mistakes.

Izzy's confessional

"Okay, I forgive Big O, but I think survival of the fittest might be necessary." she said as she rubbed her hands together.

Back on set

After a couple minutes of walking through the woods and to the center of camp. The Killer Grips passed by what looked like a house for counselors. Where they saw a couple of wanted posters and a newspaper on a chair. Justin took a look at the posters and went wide eyed.

"Guys, we might be in trouble." Justin said.

Everyone gasped as they saw the two posters had photos of two different people who looked similar to the sketches. To Izzy's delight, she was happy to see a woman who looked like her drawing of the pig tailed girl with the lolita-style outfit and wielding a candy themed battle axe.

As for the other drawing, it showed what looked like a man wearing wolfskin and various bones around their body. Making them look like some kind of barbaric follower of a pagan religion.

"I think they got serial killers prepared for us." Owen said with wide eyes.

Lindsay whined, "Why couldn't we draw something cute like a cat with an umbrella."

"I think Chris would find a way to make cute things turn evil." Beth said.

With this news, the paranoia in everyone but Izzy went up by 300%. Resulting in them getting startled by the sound of every twig snapping and and every owl hooting. Leaving them unsure if a killer will spring out.

Then Izzy decided to spin around and steal a reference from another horror movie.

"What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for?" she asked.

"Izzy! Don't motivate them!" Owen exclaimed.

"What are you waiting for!?" Izzy asked with a grin.

Suddenly, a stone ax hit the wall next to them. That action got everyone to focus again as they saw the animal themed killer come out and snarl at them.

"Aw, you're not Bonbon." Izzy complained.

"Who the heck is Bonbon!?" Beth asked.

"That's the name of the girl I drew. I made her so I named her BonBon." Izzy said before avoiding another stone ax.

"Forget the name! We gotta get out of here!" Justin yelled as he ran inside of the building.

Owen and the girls followed after him before barricading the door. Where they could only hear the maniac growling and chasing after them.

"Okay, if we call the psycho girl that Izzy made Bonbon. What do we call this guy?" Justin asked.

"How about Neanderthal Man?" Beth asked.

The psychopath started banging on the barricaded door and growling loudly.

"A bit too long for someone not too smart." Justin said.

"Scary Mountain Guy?" Owen asked.

"Or what about, Dweller? The man who left his cave for the first time." Izzy said, disregarding the danger.

"Guys, now is a bad time to be making a trademark!" Beth said before an ax started to burst through.

Beth squealed before running up the stairs of the building followed by everyone else.

Elsewhere

Duncan was whittling some sticks to use as weapons while DJ was trying to hide in a bush. Duncan could only roll his eyes at the pathetic sight while Leshawna and Harold were trying to work out a plan. Leaving Heather to look around cautiously as she didn't know what to expect.

"Don't worry Leshawna and everyone, if a psycho comes close. I'll beat them with my Nun-Yo." Harold said confidently.

Leshawna then sighed as she saw Harold using a special looking yo-yo as a nunchuk. It was impressive for three seconds before he tied himself up with it and collapsed.

"Wow, that's really impressive." Heather said sarcastically.

"Yeah, in fact, Harold could use himself as bait." Duncan added before laughing.

Leshawna shook her head before untying Harold.

At the same time, DJ kept an eye out for the killer when he saw a trail of discarded candy wrappers. He frowned at the sight and began picking them up and tossing them into a nearby trash bin.

"I know a killer is out there, but does that excuse everyone from keeping this place clean?" DJ asked, sounding annoyed.

Of course, DJ got ignored but then saw a couple of posters showing the killers. Which disturbed him as he recognized one of the sketches as someone Harold drew. It didn't help that Namine's magic updated the posters to show their names as Dweller and Bonbon.

"Aw man, the drawings came to life." DJ said, reverting to being fearful.

Duncan raised a brow and looked at the posters before being joined by the others. The only good thing that came from this was to know what to look out for.

But then their attention turned back to Heather stepping on another candy wrapper.

"DJ is right. This place is a mess." Heather said before noticing a nearby camp store. "What the? Since when do summer camps have stores?"

Heather then absentmindedly walked to the store only to find the door forced open. She then saw a bigger mess as she saw a lot of damage made by a bladed weapon.

"What do you see?" Harold asked from outside.

"Just a bigger mess. I think we just missed the killer." Heather said as she scratched her head.

"That's a relief." DJ said as he wiped his brow.

"Then we better not stay long. I bet that killer is the one with the sweet tooth." Leshawna asked.

"Yeah, we better get moving." Duncan said in agreement.

The group started moving but Heather decided to quickly look around. She didn't have breakfast and was already feeling hungry. So while not taking precaution for once, she didn't notice the door open from the back. Revealing a pigtailed girl with a lot of face paint and a candy themed battle axe.

The girl grinned and tilted her head before walking up behind Heather. Where she immediately grabbed Heather from behind and covered her mouth and dragged her away.

"Mmmph! Mmhmm!" Heather screamed as she tried to break free.

"Theft And vandalism will not be tolerated!" Bonbon said in a high pitched voice.

Heather's muffled screams continued as she was taken into the store's back room.

All that could be heard afterwards was the sounds of thumping at the doors. Which went on for a solid minute before things went silent.

Back with the Killer Grips

Everyone had gone into different places on the second floor of the camp counselor building. All of them hid away before Dweller broke down the barricade and tore through the first floor. The psychopath roared as he ripped apart the furniture and found no one.

Thus leaving him to search the second floor where everyone was hiding. With every footstep being louder than the last as he went up the stairs.

Leaving everyone feeling anxious as they waited for the inevitable search.

"I hear him." Owen whispered to Izzy who nodded.

The two were hiding in a closet, giving into horror film cliches out of desperation.

"What do we do if he breaks into another room and catches someone on the team?" Owen asked.

Izzy closed her eyes and patted his shoulder, "We will mourn their loss."

"Okay… do stay here or keep hiding?" Owen asked.

Izzy started thinking before using what little space she had to literally draw up potential plans. Which gave Owen time to think as he could hear Dweller tearing the room next to theirs apart.

"Hey Izzy, again I know I apologized and you forgive me but I'm really sorry about abandoning you last season." Owen said, catching her attention. "Seriously, I swear, I'm not only gonna stay by your side for this challenge but the whole show."

Izzy smiled, "I'm glad to hear that big O."

"So are we cool?" Owen asked with a hopeful smile.

Izzy sighed before leaning in to kiss Owen. Owen went wide eyed before pulling her in close and kissing her back. It was a sweet moment between the two and a good confirmation of reconciliation.

Even on a show full of life threatening danger. There was still some humanity and community.

Even Dweller had the decency to let them kiss when he broke into the room and opened the closet door.

"Aw Iz, I'm glad we're back together— hey! Can you give us some privacy please!?" Owen asked the killer.

The Dweller responded with heavy breathing which snapped Owen back into reality.

"Izzy…" Owen said.

"Yeah?" Izzy asked.

"RUN!" Owen shouted.

Izzy, with her inhuman agility, squeezed herself out and escaped the closet. Owen on the other hand had barely avoided being hit by another Stone Age weapon. Izzy began to run, not to purposely abandon Owen but because she followed his command to a T.

"Hurry Owen, that cave guy might get you!" Izzy shouted as she slid on the rail of the stairs.

Unfortunately, Owen couldn't do much but rely on dumb luck and the killer being clumsy.

"You won't take me alive… that's a bad choice of words." Owen said.

A killer's job isn't to capture someone alive after all. Unless they're a sadist planning to torture their victims.

"I mean… put 'em up!" Owen said, raising up his fists.

Dweller growled before hitting Owen over the head with a club. The large boy quickly collapsed before being grabbed by the foot. Leaving Owen to struggle to stay conscious as Dweller dragged him away.

But if anyone wanted to really try and save him. They had plenty of time given that even Dweller struggled to move Owen.

Which forced Dweller to smash open a wall that led to the bathroom. Which was holding Lindsay who sat on the toilet.

"AHHHH!"

It was fortunate that Lindsay was only using the toilet as a seat.

"Oh no. Hold on." Lindsay said as she looked uncomfortable.

It was unfortunate that Lindsay was not using the toilet for its intended purpose.

But that didn't stop Dweller from knocking her out with a club and throwing her over his shoulder. He at least had an easier time taking Lindsay away.

Back with the Screaming Gaffers

It took a while before the Gaffers realized that Heather was gone. Given the situation added by the fact that none of them really liked Heather. They decided against going back to find her.

"Aw man, I still feel bad." DJ said as he lowered his head.

"Hey, this place has no room for heroes. Understand that." Duncan said sternly.

"Yeah, but I can barely handle the guilt, man. Heather was a bad person but she doesn't deserve to get murdered or taken or whatever." DJ said, expressing his guilt.

"I feel guilty as well, DJ. Except for once, we gotta listen to Duncan. We can't beat the killers and can't risk being caught." Harold said with Leshawna nodding.

The remaining team members continued to walk, wondering what to expect. The atmosphere and magic surrounding them did little to make them feel less anxious. They could be stuck in the camp for many hours and they would notice.

There's also secondary dangers in survival situations. Which include being able to survive the environment and each other to worry about as tension can go up at any time.

"Hey, we really gotta stop. I gotta pee." DJ said, his face scrunched up in discomfort.

"Brother, did you not bring a jar with you?" Leshawna asked.

"I thought we were getting breakfast then doing the challenge." DJ answered, making her roll her eyes.

"Just go behind a tree and don't wander too far." Duncan said.

DJ nodded and obliged before running into the trees. Going deep enough to where his teammates could not see him urinate.

"You guys can see him, right?" Harold asked.

"Heck no! Why would I even want to see DJ take a leak?" Duncan asked.

"I mean to check on him. We already lost Heather, so–"

"Alright baby, we know. It's not like DJ ran off too far ahead." Leshawna said, knowing DJ isn't too far.

Harold sighed before crossing his arms and turning away.

Duncan on the other hand started finishing up on his whittling. When he finished, he made four simple but sturdy sharp sticks. They wouldn't do much against a chainsaw, so Duncan relied on instinct and luck.

"Okay, stick your hands out." Duncan said.

Harold sighed and stuck out his hand with Leshawna. Both receive one stick each and arm themselves. Leaving only DJ unarmed until he returned from his bathroom break.

"Hey, you forgot me." a high voice said.

"Oh, my bad." Duncan said casually.

But then Duncan noticed that gothic lolita girl was now with his team. His eyes slowly widened as did Harold and Leshawna's as Bonbon revealed herself.

"What? No stick?" she asked, almost taunting them.

Harold was the first to reach and performed his amateur martial arts stances. Going so far as to try and drop kick Bonbon who casually side stepped.

"Nice try, Johnny Karate." Bonbon said before jabbing Harold with the handle of her ax.

Leshawna glared, "Oh no you don't!"

Leshawna threw her stick at Bonbon who caught it and snapped it in half. Leshawna then took the other two sticks before throwing them as well. When that failed, Leshawna was then smacked in the side of the head with the ax, rendering her unconscious.

Duncan looked scared before shaking her head and drawing his knife.

"You wanna go?" he asked as he raised his knife.

Bonbon tilted her head and smiled like an idiot. She then started swinging wildly at Duncan who dodged every slash before being punched in the chin making her stumble back. Bonbon then swung and missed again before getting hit two times in the face and then kicked in the gut.

"Ouch! That hurt!" Bonbon whined.

"Grow up!" Duncan said before throwing another punch.

Bonbon blocked the attack with her axe before parrying the knife. She started moving more quickly to the point part of Duncan's mohawk was cut off. Forcing him to try and thrust his knife aggressively at Bonbon who kept dodging each strike. Except for when he managed to cut her cheek just as she delivered blunt blow to the head, knocking the delinquent unconscious.

Once Duncan was down, Bonbon reached for her cheek and felt the blood falling. She frowned and then pouted at Duncan before kicking him in the gut.

"You big JERK!" Bonbon shouted before dragging him along with Leshawna and Harold away.

By the time DJ came back, he looked around in confusion at the lack of teammates waiting for him.

"Guys? Where did you go?" DJ asked.

He then noticed Duncan's knife on the ground and immediately tensed up as he saw some of Bonbon's blood on it. Not that he could instantly recognize who it belonged to.

DJ's confessional

DJ was quaking in fear to show how terrified he was.

"I'm sorry! I also needed to take a dump (defecate)! It took a while, I didn't know bad stuff would happen!" he cried out in fear.

With the Killer Grips

With Owen and Lindsay gone, it was just Justin and Beth who were on their own now. There was also Izzy but after escaping and coming back. She promised to save Owen and ran into the forest in an attempt to track down Dweller.

"It's just the two of us now." Beth said, blushing. "I guess I'm the last girl in this horror movie."

Justin was about to say something before remembering the trope that Beth indirectly referenced.

"Beth, regardless if Izzy gets caught. That means you're the final girl. Do you know what the means?" Justin asked as he gripped her shoulders.

"That you accept me as being more than a friend?" Beth asked.

"What? No."

"Oh… good because I have a boyfriend."

"Beth, now is not a good time to lie. If you're the final girl, that means I'm next. So the killer is going to get me and then get to you by chasing you around for ten minutes like they do in every horror movie." Justin explained.

Beth gasped as she realized that many horror movies often end with only one survivor and it would usually be some girl. Sure it would be more terrifying as the killer would chase her around the most, but it meant Justin is definitely going to be caught next.

"RUN!" Beth shouted.

The two then started running like idiots, not realizing that they were running around aimlessly towards the danger.

Luckily, someone more crazy had already started helping them and that was Izzy. Who just so happen to run into Bonbon who started swinging her ax at Izzy.

"Haha! You're so fun! I'll chop off your head and keep it mounted on a wall!" Bonbon said as she cut down a tree trying to get Izzy.

Izzy laughed in response, "You could make me like one of those talking fishes that sing."

"Great idea!" Bonbon exclaimed as she cut down another tree.

"But you would have to catch me first!" Izzy said as she did a handstand.

Bonbon ran at Izzy only for the crazy ginger to rapidly kick her in the face before jumping up and shoving her down a hill. Izzy winced as she heard a loud crack but any concern she possibly felt was ignored as Bonbon got back up. Izzy couldn't help but feel impressed by her creation's durability.

"Just because you broke my arm, it doesn't mean I'm giving up." Bonbon said as she started climbing the hill again.

"Bring it on!" Izzy exclaimed.

Justin and Beth realized they would be getting nowhere and decided to run in the other direction.

"That was a bad idea! A really bad idea!" Justin yelled.

"I know, I forgot there's two killers too!" Beth said.

But then their bad luck continued as Beth and Justin crashed into Dweller. With Beth losing her glasses on the impact.

"Ow! Hey! Be careful!" Beth yelled.

"Beth, we're in no position to tell him what to do!?" Justin shouted as he was picked up by the scruff of his shirt.

Beth picked up her glasses and adjusted her vision. Resulting in her seeing the psychopath more clearly and screaming in terror.

"He looked better with my glasses off!" Beth cried out before she was picked up next.

Justin and Beth were then taken away, leaving Izzy alone to try and fight Bonbon. Unfortunately for her, Bonbon was equally crazy but severely more durable.

"Haha! Is that all you go— AH!" Izzy shouted before being slammed into a tree.

Bonbon grinned as she approached Izzy who began to black out. The killer bent down and gently picked up Izzy in her arms like a bride.

"Aw, don't go to bed yet. We have to play together first before we get to the taxidermy." Bonbon said right before Izzy lost consciousness.

Elsewhere, with DJ

With his athleticism by his side, DJ used the only thing he could do in a dire situation. One where he is alone in a creep environment where he looks like he's about to die with no hope. It's a trick he doesn't use too often but will come in handy.

And that was to run away.

"AHHHHHH!" DJ screamed as he ran across the fake camp at the speed of a roadrunner.

His screams could even reach everyone outside of the illusion who were wondering how much energy DJ had in him.

But then his screaming came to an end when he inadvertently crashed through a cabin wall and fell onto a pile of firewood. DJ groaned as he slowly stood up to gain his bearings. He then adjusted the mess of logs and other junk he caused so he could get some leg room.

Only to find a loose piece of metal that made a loud clunking sound.

"Did I break a pipe or something?" DJ asked himself.

Being curious, DJ checked out the piece of metal and got more curious.

"What the heck? Who left a flute in… a flute!? The flute! I'm saved! I can finally escape this place!" DJ exclaimed.

Then he heard a knock at the door and forgot his situation. DJ opened it and turned pale when he saw a robed figure with a scythe.

"Oh, the grim reaper. That's nice." DJ said sarcastically.

Then the reaper handed him a scroll with a name.

-DJ-

DJ nodded and handed it back, "Thanks for the message dude but I gotta run. Literally."

DJ then ran out the hole he made and was chased around by the Grim Reaper.

Back in the police station

Naruto looked at his daughter who was scribbling on another sheet of paper with Medusa looking over her shoulder.

"Like this mama?" Naminé asked.

"Yes dear, just like that." Medusa said.

Unbeknownst to Naruto, Medusa coerced Namine into generating what looked like the Grim Reaper. Which Namine spawned into the illusion of the camp.

"What are you two up to?" Naruto asked.

"Nothing dear."

"Nothing papa."

Naruto raised a brow but before he could press the matter. He could hear the flute and it got him standing up.

"I'll be right back." He said as he ran outside.

Naruto then entered a police van that said "Dragonic Unit" before driving off into the camp. He drove up a bumpy road leading to the illusion where he could hear DJ screaming.

"Marco, are you ready?" Naruto asked as he looked at the tiny window behind him.

Marco, who was asleep in the van the whole time, gasped as he got up.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm awake! Wait, what are we doing?" He asked.

"It's exam time. Show me what Chef and I taught you." Naruto said.

"What!? Right now!?" Marco asked before falling due to Naruto's bad driving.

"Yes now, it's the perfect time." Naruto answered before pulling over.

Marco started to try and talk his way out of whatever Naruto was doing. Only for the dragon to drag him out of the back of the van. Marco even tried to ask Star for help but the girl was still asleep and snoring loud enough to ignore Marco's pleas.

"Kick the baby dragon." Naruto said as he curled up Marco.

"I'm not a baby and don't kick me!" Marco replied before being kicked across the camp.

Which resulted in Marco crashing into Dweller who was about to ambush DJ.

"Ouch." Marco whispered.

His pain was immediately pushed away when he looked up and saw Dweller getting up and snarling at him.

"AHHHHH!" Marco screamed before subconsciously breathing fire onto Dweller's face.

Dweller cried out in pain and started stumbling around to put out the fire. Giving Marco time to get up and run only to run into Bonbon who brandished her ax.

"Hey, you have a nice head. Can I mount it on my wall?" Bonbon asked before swinging her ax.

Marco ducked and side stepped each incoming axe strike before raising his arms. He braced himself as his arms turned into scales with talons that blocked the heavy blade. Marco then felt no impact but saw he made Bonbon stumble backwards.

"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this! I can control my transformation!" Marco said before focusing.

Bonbon recovered and charged at him only for Marco to grow a tail and slapped her with it. The impact caused Bonbon to slam into a cabin. It wasn't enough to knock out the psychotic girl, but he did disarm her.

"You want some more!?" Marco asked before wrapping his tail around her.

"Woah!" Bonbon cried out as she tried to pry him off of her.

Marco proceeded to slam Bonbon all over the ground several times but could see she was still conscious. He wasn't trying to kill her but just hoped she would get a concussion at worst.

'Seriously, what is she made of?' Marco thought.

He sighed before tossing her into the air before extending his arms. Marco then caught Bonbon and held her tightly before running up the road and looking towards the ocean.

"Hey! Put me down! You can't treat a lady like this!" Bonbon yelled as she began to get angry.

"Goodbye, creepy goth girl!" Marco yelled back.

"I'm not a— ahhh!" Bonbon was interrupted after being thrown towards the ocean with great force.

Marco then lowered his head and put his hands on his knees before catching his breath.

"Okay, I think I got this. I guess fear and focus made everything feel natural." Marco said.

But then he was interrupted by the animalistic cries of Dweller who ambushed him from behind. His scream startled Marco who made scales appear all over his torso. So when Dweller slammed a pair of stone axes onto his shoulders, he ripped through Marco's hood and dug into the scales.

"Okay, ouch! I'm glad my dragon body is at least protecting me somewhat!" Marco said as he tried to pry off Dwellers grip on him.

However, unlike Bonbon who was just barely above a normal human. Dweller was like a gorilla and made it hard for Marco to push him away.

'Don't I have super strength or something? Why can't I breathe fire on him again?' Marco thought as he struggled.

Marco's feet began to sink into the ground and as he struggled to fight and find a way to strengthen himself. His entire body began to grow with more scales surrounding his body. Causing talons to spread to his feet and wings to burst out of his back.

With a loud roar, Marco started flapping his wings and launched himself into the air with Dweller still hanging on. Marco then spun back around and proceeded to slam Dweller into the ground, creating a large crater that shook the camp.

When it cleared up, Marco stumbled out looking dizzy before taking a few steps and collapsing near Naruto.

"I did it… am I a real dragon now?" Marco asked.

"Yes, but you need practice." Naruto said, making him groan.

Naruto's attention was then taken away by DJ who was running around while being chased by the grim reaper. This left Naruto to sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He then pulled out a radio and spoke into it.

"Get the canine unit." He ordered.

A moment later, another van appeared being driven by Kushina who grinned.

"I brought your special delivery." She said before opening the backdoors.

A second later, several wolves came running out with Maggie on one of their backs. Kushina briefly screamed in shock while Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Maggie is at it again." Naruto said with a tired sigh.

Kushina was tempted to run after her youngest granddaughter only to see Maggie following close behind the grim reaper who was behind DJ. Given that DJ had great speed and stamina when terrified, the woman felt like she was watching a Tom and Jerry cartoon minus the violent traps.

"Uh, should we step in?" Kushina asked.

"If Maggie doesn't fall asleep in five minutes. I suggest the tranquilizer." Naruto said.

Then a minute later, the grim reaper threw his scythe and pinned DJ to a tree.

"AH! What did I do!? Did I screw up somewhere in my life!?" DJ asked in terror.

"Your time has come." The reaper said darkly.

"Is this because of the deal I made with Chef!? I wanted to back out but…" DJ tried to say but couldn't find an excuse.

As DJ tried to make up some reason for not trying harder to leave his alliance with Chef but only started to feel guilty. He thought him and Chef having an alliance was somehow a horrible action that would be punished by divine intervention. But before he could try and speak again, one of the wolves tripped the reaper over and Maggie somehow got her small hands on a fire axe and threw it at the reaper's head, causing the skeleton to collapse.

"Did that girl just kill death?" DJ asked with wide eyes.

A moment later, Kushina ran up to pick up her granddaughter just as the illusion collapsed. Revealing DJ was in some cheap looking movie set and everyone else suddenly fell hard onto the ground.

"What the heck was that!?" Owen asked as Chris stepped forward.

"That was a win for the Screaming Gaffers! Congrats DJ" Chris announced.

The Gaffers tried to cheer despite being confused and shaken from what occurred. DJ meanwhile was still feeling bad about the alliance thing while also contemplating the fact he thought he was faced with the grim reaper.

"Hey DJ, what are you looking so glum for?" Duncan asked.

"I think he's still shocked." Harold said.

Duncan then tried to snap DJ out of his trance while Harold and Leshawna helped the boy get moving. Leaving Chris to speak with the losing team about their loss.

"Screaming Gaffers, since you lost. You're going to be sleeping in the crafts tent tonight." Chris said, making them groan.

The team then left to pick up their stuff. Followed by Naruto who was dragging Marco away by his leg just as the boy started reverting back to his human form.

"Come on, training isn't done yet." Naruto said, making Marco whine.

That night

That night, Chris added an extra challenge which felt pretty unfair for the Screaming Gaffers. Apparently, Chris gave them directions to scare the Killer Grips out of the tent. It helped that he told some story about a female security guard who died in a tragic accident in the very set they are currently using for this season.

So with the Grips feeling a bit more anxious, Chris wished the Gaffers luck on winning. Because the challenge was still an elimination round, not a reward challenge.

Unfortunately, thanks to Lindsay deciding to be more tough today. She was able to keep her team from leaving the tent despite Harold and Duncan's attempts at scaring them. Which left everyone trying to brainstorm other ways to scare them. Ironically, it led to DJ trying an idea he had after Duncan and the others pressured him.

Just as midnight was about to approach, a tired Star had finally woken up and made her way to the crafts tent.

"Oh man, I can't believe I slept all day. I didn't even get to see Marco go full dragon." Star said as she heard her stomach rumble. "I hope there's still some snacks left for me."

But then suddenly, Star heard screaming and quickly ran inside to see the Gaffers screaming in terror.

"What's wrong!?" She asked.

"Ghost!" Owen shouted as he pointed above Star's head.

Being dimwitted and naive, Star didn't realize that she was just looking at Heather who was dressed like a security guard with a vest tied to a rope. So she quickly raised up her wand, trying to banish the "ghost" in her own way.

"Blueberry Cupcake Bazooka!" She shouted, firing blue cupcakes at Heather.

Heather screamed, breaking character, but given the situation. Everyone thought she was just some ghoul who was howling.

However, Lindsay grabbed a device which Chris lied about as a genuine ghost detector. She saw it wasn't going off and realized the ghost was a fake. Before Lindsay could say anything, DJ picked up one of Star's cupcakes and threw it at the device when Lindsay wasn't looking, causing it to activate.

"AHHH! It's real!" She screamed before running away.

Owen and the rest ran after her and escaped the tent. Leaving Star alone to knock Heather down and continued to assault her.

"Begone Ghost!" Star commanded as she kept firing.

A moment later, Naruto arrived and held Star back with Chris stepping in.

"Star, that's enough. Seriously, it's just Heather." Chris said, stifling a chuckle.

"Say what?" Star asked.

"It was a secondary challenge." Naruto said.

"Ooooh… wait, Heather died!? I know she was mean but she doesn't deserve death!" Star shouted as Heather dusted herself off.

"I'm not dead!" Heather shouted.

"But she is safe along with the Screaming Gaffers. Star, do me a favor and tell the Grips to see me at the Gilded Chris Awards." Chris said.

"Uh, okay." Star said before hearing her stomach rumble.

Naruto sighed and went into the kitchen before coming back and handing Star a large sandwich that looked edible.

"Thanks Mr. Dragon of the Apocalypse!" Star said before leaving with her food.

Meanwhile, no one noticed DJ was staring off into space again.

A while later

Despite how late it was, the Killer Grips dragged themselves to the awards ceremony. Where they began voting on who they wanted to vote off.

Only this time, Naruto was the one having to present the Gilded Chris Awards.

"What happened to your wife?" Chris asked.

"The pregnancy is making her more tired." Naruto answered.

"Seriously? Oh well, the lady deserves her rest." Chris said, shrugging.

Chris then focused on the results handed to him and started saying names after reiterating the rules yet again.

"Owen, Beth and Izzy. You three are safe." Chris said.

Lindsay looked at herself and Justin before the realization hit her.

"Wait, you guys would vote me off?" She asked, sounding sad.

Beth awkwardly scratched her cheek, "Well, you were mean and pushy."

Lindsay didn't expect to hear that but accepted whatever came next. However, just as Chris was about to announce who was eliminated, DJ ran up the stage.

"Stop! I'm voting myself off!" DJ yelled, shocking everyone.

The other members of the Screaming Gaffers arrived and immediately started trying to get answers. Even some of the Killer Grips were actually concerned as they liked DJ.

"I'm sorry, but after the near death experience with the Grim Reaper." DJ began to say.

"It was just an illusion that my daughter made." Naruto spoke up but was ignored.

"I realized that no matter how the future looks. I gotta be honest with everyone and stick to my values." DJ continued.

"Dude, what are you talking about?" DJ asked.

DJ sighed before explaining himself, "Chef and I had an illegal alliance. He's been tutoring me on how to be tough and coaching me on winning in exchange for splitting the prize."

Chris looked around for Chef before glaring at him. Leaving the cook to sheepishly hide as he tried to talk DJ out of voting himself off.

"I'm not gonna disappoint my mama anymore so I'm not backing out of voting myself off. I'll miss you all." DJ said as he closed his eyes in sadness.

"That means less quality food for everyone else." Naruto said, earning some gasps.

"He was making all that food?" Leshawna asked with wide eyes.

Owen began to cry and started running towards DJ, begging him not to leave because he'd miss his cooking.

But given the rules having some blurry details, Chris had to accept the self elimination despite the Gaffers winning fairly. With that, DJ was escorted to the Lame-O-Sine but not before being stopped so he could give everyone one last hug.

Everyone but Heather that is.

"We're gonna miss you, big guy." Duncan said.

"Brother, I don't think you did anything wrong but at least you're honest 'til the end." Leshawna said.

"It was an honor." Harold said with a salute.

"Yeah, thanks for making our team smaller," Heather said sarcastically.

"You'll still send food, right? Right? RIGHT!?" Owen asked as Naruto held him back.

"You can have Chef's cooking." Naruto said, making Owen cry out in pain.

DJ gave one last wave and entered the vehicle before leaving the set for good. Leaving a crying Owen behind and Chris to joke about Chef being their sole meal provider. Which only made Owen more depressed.

By the time Chris signed off, Naruto went to his room only to stop and see Marco sitting on a rock.

"Marco?" He asked.

"Hey Abuelo, I was just watching. I get what DJ was thinking but I don't think he was a bad guy. I mean he was forced to cheat but he deserved better." Marco said, feeling bad for DJ.

"You can't win this game with honesty. It's one thing to have conviction but it's another thing to have the strength to hold those convictions." Naruto said, making him smile.

"Hey, that's some sweet advice." Marco said before getting up. "I'll see you tomorrow."

Naruto nodded before heading back to check on his wife.

The next morning

The two teams woke up to find Chef's subpar breakfast waiting for them with Marco helping him back. The hilarious thing to think about is that no one realizes Chef is actually a competent cook. He's just underpaid and stressed, otherwise everyone would be eating like they're at a resort hotel.

"Hey, is he seriously bossing Marco around now?" Beth asked, glaring at Beth's direction.

Chef just ignored them as he was a bit peeved by DJ's confession last night. That and he got a light holding from the producers as well.

But then Naruto arrived with Maggie sleeping in a baby carrier on his chest.

"Hey Naruto, Chef is bossing Marco around." Owen spoke up.

"Good, I'm actually paying him for that." Naruto said, surprising them. "Don't give me that look. My other children, who are his aunts and uncles, might kill him by accident. Chef is paid to not kill him."

"Oh great, Chef is getting some leeway." Justin said sarcastically.

"Is it too late to try and vote Chef off?" Duncan asked.

As everyone spoke, Beth suddenly pulled out a photo of a very attractive young man.

"Oh that reminds me, my boyfriend Brady likes to volunteer at soup kitchens." Beth suddenly said as she presented the photo.

"Liar! You don't have a boyfriend!" Heather yelled.

"I gotta agree with bald—" Leshawana stopped as she remembered Heather had hair now. "with Heather. Besides, that boy is too hot for you."

Beth shook her head, "Brady is my real boyfriend. I met him at the dentist when they went to remove my braces. He's such a charmer."

"Woah, first Trent's OCD is acting out and now Beth is dating a picture. And you guys say I'm crazy." Izzy said.

Beth disliked how everyone tried to mock her about Brady being fictional. She even went on to explain his stats such as his height, eye color and other small details. All of which were written down in detail behind the photo which Justin exposed.

"All those stats are written in the back." Justin said, adding more doubt.

At the same time, Naruto was grabbing some food meant for his wife that actually tastes good. He listened in on the conversation and also had his doubts. However, he couldn't sense any deceit from Beth.

'Either the individual is real or her delusions have reached a new level.' Naruto thought.

A downside to lie detecting is it doesn't always work when the target has incomplete knowledge. For example, Naruto wouldn't be able to ask someone for directions if they have vague and inaccurate information on where to go.

But then again, Naruto didn't care whatsoever and would let the teens see how this plays out.

"Hey everybody." Chris called out as he entered the crafts tent. "I hope you're excited because today is going to be a "disaster.""

Everyone responded in silence, unaware of the incoming punchline.

"It's a disaster film challenge." Naruto stated.

"That's right. You know the drill, you gotta avoid earthquakes, thunderstorms and even active volcanoes." Chris explained.

And now everyone fully understood where this was going and it would be filled with pain.

Later on set

Chris took everyone to a machine that was designed to look like a damaged road covered in obstacles. While previous challenges were not any less safe, they were mostly psychologically dangerous. As the less ignorant contestants could see there was some guarantee of someone being hurt.

"It's a straightforward challenge. All of you will run up this hill and reach the end of the obstacle course. The winning team will then get a reward for the second part of the challenger." Chris explained.

"Somehow I know it won't be just some earthquakes and lightning." Harold said.

"You're right about that Harold. I was gonna keep this a secret but Chef's going to belong by adding some "hail" to liven things up." Chris said.

A moment later, Naruto dropped a large cannon for Chef to use. The ammunition came in the form of a large series of objects dropped off by Mukuro.

"Just set the switch for size and speed. The impact will change depending on the output." Mukuro explained as Chef nodded.

Chef's Confessional

Chef read through a small pamphlet before throwing it out.

"I'm no scientist but I know my basic physics. Size doesn't matter, just what the stuff is made of. So you know what's big and heavy? My unpublished memoirs." Chef said as he presented a giant book.

Back on set

Once Chef was ready, he took a seat and adjusted the cannon.

Meanwhile everyone else got their instructions and stood at the bottom of the mechanical hill.

"Ready. Set. Go!" Chris said.

The two teams then immediately ran for their lives and received a small grace period. Giving them a chance to clear the first set of obstacles before Chris pressed a button to simulate a large scale earthquake.

"I feel like this is going to be the one thing that actually kills us." Duncan said.

"I think Chris is too smart to make it look that obvious." Harold said in disagreement.

"If you two move those chicken legs of yours faster then we won't die at all." Leshawna said before reaching the first obstacles.

The two teams started climbing a set of monkey bars which got Chef motivated to start shooting.

At the same time, Naruto and Mukuro started to load up the cannon with random junk. With Naruto having flashbacks to an iconic film about a sniper.

"Be not far from me, for trouble is near; haste Thee to help me. Blessed be the… Mukuro, how did the rest of the prayer go?" Naruto asked, thinking his daughter remembered the sniper's prayer from Saving Private Ryan.

"Um, I think it goes, uh…" Mukuro stumbled as she couldn't remember the whole prayer.

Chef overheard the conversation and stopped caring about accurate shots. He moved some switches and started setting the cannon to enlarging his ammunition. Leaving him to start shooting books, cue balls and sports equipment at the teams.

"Nice try Cheffy!" Izzy taunted as she avoided a baseball to the head.

"Dodge!" Justin shouted as a football hit the ground near them, leaving a giant crater.

"Ooh, Chef must be really mad!" Izzy said, continuing to taunt Chef.

"Izzy, please be quiet!" Beth pleaded only for the girl to laugh.

The team then made their way towards another obstacle full of tires which they needed to navigate threw. Which wasn't easy for anyone with big legs like Owen who stumbled and tripped on his face.

"This hurts." Owen complained.

And then he got hit in the back with a book.

"That hurts more! Ow!" Owen cried out.

"Come on Owen! We can't let Chef catch us!" Izzy said as she tried to drag him up to his feet.

Chris just chuckled as he wanted to make things harder for them. So he pressed another button which caused the ground to break apart, making the Killer Grips nearly fall into the big gap.

"Look out!" Beth warned.

But it was too late, Lindsay and Justin lost their balance and barely grabbed onto the ledge while Owen was trapped in an awkward position that made his legs split apart.

"This is the worst pain imaginable!" Owen shouted.

"Hang on!" Beth said as she tried to pull Owen and the others back to her side.

As Beth helped her teammates back up, the Screaming Gappers were reaching the end of the challenge.

"Uh Naruto, the Gaffers are almost at the end." Chris said, hoping the man had an extra trick up his sleeve.

Naruto let out a strange whistling noise that attracted a huey helicopter piloted by Junko herself. He then guided Chef to the helicopter where he took his seat behind another cannon filled with ice to simulate hail.

"Hang onto your hat, Chef." Junko said with a snicker.

Chef grabbed the turret by the handles and watched as the helicopter stopped by a large wall where the Screaming Gaffers were approaching. All either teas needed to do was climb over the wall and win the challenge.

"Now this is war." Chef said with a smirk.

Chef then started shooting the ice at Harold and Heather who immediately cried out in pain before falling back behind the wall. Chef didn't stop opening fire as he continued to keep up the pressure to discourage them from trying to climb over the wall.

"Ugh! he's making it impossible!" Heather yelled while glaring at Chef behind the wall.

As the Gaffers took cover, the Grips arrived and saw the attack. Justin was the first to try his luck and climb over the wall. Only for the ice to hit him all over his face and body. The impact left several bruises and marks which felt more painful to Justin than the actual injuries.

Justin's Confessional

Justin was trying to hold back the look of sadness in his eyes.

"Look at me, this show has turned me into a monster. A monster I say. Hopefully the million dollars can give me the surgery to salvage what's left of my looks." Justin said, being overdramatic.

Back on set

As the teams continued to take cover, they heard a loud clicking noise from the helicopter which signalled that Chef had run out of ammunition.

"I think he's out." Duncan said.

"Oh, now Chef is done shooting at us?" Justin asked with a glare.

"Let's just go already. There's no telling what he might do next." Beth said as she helped Lindsay and Justin up the wall.

Unfortunately for Beth, she was completely ignored by Owen and Izy who decided now was a perfect time to be courteous. Where the two would end up politely debating about who should climb up the wall first.

"You first Owen." Izzy said.

"Please Izzy, ladies first." Owen said.

"I think the gentleman should take his turn." Izzy replied.

The two continued to go back and forth for a while before Owen decided to go first before Izzy. However, just as predicted, Chef came back with a new weapon and Owen was the first target.

"Uh oh." Owen said when he was hit in the face.

By what looked like an almanac the size of a bowling ball. Despite having survived so much, Owen was hit with enough force to make his teeth break and send him falling back down with a thud. The impact made Izzy pause with a look of shock on her face all the while Chef looked content.

"My therapist was right after all. Writing my feelings did help my stress." Chef said proudly.

"Seriously? Personally I just like talking things out." Junko said.

By "talking things out", Junko meant ranting, yelling and sometimes criticizing others. Which is one of the reasons Mukuro has a poor self esteem.

Back to the contestants, everyone who didn't already climb over the wall was surrounding Owen. With even Chris wincing slightly at the sight of Owen's busted mouth.

"Okay, the day when someone got hurt. I really expected them to be set on fire or eaten by a demon dog." Chris said, not expecting an injury which was mild compared to other dangers he put everyone through. "Anyways, since the Killer Grips climbed over first and Owen took a literal hit for the team. They're the winners!"

The mood didn't change aside from a couple of people thinking this victory was unfair.

Heather's Confessional

"That is unfair! We get hurt all the time! How is it that Owen gets hit too hard one time and suddenly his team gets the victory!?" Heather angrily asked.

Izzy's Confessional

"Big O and I have gone through a lot. Seriously, it's been a fun ride but this was his mouth? How is he gonna eat? How is he gonna live!?" Izzy asked, thinking Owen's inability to eat properly would kill him.

Back on set

Naruto arrived with two of the maids to help pick up Owen on a stretcher and lift him away.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure Owen recovers. It doesn't look that bad though." Naruto said.

"His jaw and teeth are busted." Beth pointed out.

"Would you prefer Owen to be immolated, eviscerated or devoured?" Naruto asked, making everyone quiet. "I thought so."

Naruto then transformed and waited for the maids to tie some ropes to the stretcher and to Naruto. Before the dragon carried Owen away for Lisa to treat.

"I'm sure he'll be alright. This show has the resources to kill and save us." Duncan said.

"Do you seriously not care?" Harold asked with a glare.

"You know I'm right. I feel bad for the guy but it's not like there's not a spell or something to fix his mouth." Duncan said.

"I agree, Owen's probably going to come back tomorrow and act like nothing happened." Heather said, feeling more insensitive compared to Duncan.

The Killer Grips just looked at each other and could only move on as they hoped Owen would have a speedy recovery.

Later that day

At a set with a volcano, everyone stood at the edge of a fake town where Chris stood beside a helicopter.

"Okay everybody, we're keeping this one simple. You just gotta escape the active volcano as it destroys this town. To win, you gotta get down to the bottom of this hill and reach the rescue choppers first. And for once, this is not every man for himself." Chris explained.

"Hey Chris, any word about Owen's condition?" Izzy asked with a worried face.

"Naruto said he's still alive." Chris said.

"That's not a good explanation." Justin said.

"Hey, I'm no doctor and Lisa is a hardworking lady. Who am I to bother her?" Chris asked, pretending he cared.

While Lisa was indeed needing to treat Owen carefully. It's not like Chris couldn't get an update from someone assisting her. He just didn't care enough and would wait patiently for news on the boy's health.

Lisa's Confessional

Lisa could be seen wiping her face with a handkerchief before facing the camera.

"For anyone feeling concerned, Owen is still in a bit of pain and has been repaired. However, he won't be able to eat too many solid foods. In other news, I am going to request a special study for him. So if Owen's parents are watching, please expect a phone call from me regarding his odd health." She said.

Just as everyone stood behind a line, Chris pulled out a flare gun and handed it to Izzy.

"Since the Killer Grips won. They get the flare gun which will help them in the event they either get stuck or the lava is too close to escape. You won't be taken directly to the choppers but someone will move you away from the danger." Chris explained.

Had Izzy not been stressed out about Owen, she would have been happy to pretend that she had a real gun. Which probably resulted in her accidentally firing the flare and wasting it.

"Anyways, ready! Set! Go!" Chris said before sounding an airhorn.

A few seconds later, the two teams ran as far as their legs could take them. As they tried to get a headstart on the race, Chris hopped onto the helicopter before pressing a button to trigger the volcano to go off.

"Somehow the slowest dangers are the most exciting." Chris said as the helicopter took him to safety.

As the two teams started running faster, Naruto could be seen flying over them in dragon form. Moving around as if he were a vulture waiting for its prey.

"What is this? Pompei?" Heather asked.

"Actually, with the setting and the impact of the volcano. I would say it's more like—"

"Harold, now is not a good time!" Leshawna interrupted.

The two teams then ended up splitting up as the ground began to shake and break open.

"I thought we were done with the earthquakes already!?" Justin exclaimed.

Then Beth remembered something, "Actually, now that I think about it. Brady would volunteer to help victims of a natural disaster. He's so kind and charitable. I bet he would be happy to help us if it weren't for the volcano."

"Hey Beth, you know what would make your boyfriend better?" Izzy asked.

"What?" Beth asked back.

"If he were real!" Izzy exclaimed, startling her.

Soon enough, the Killer Grips lost sight of the Screaming Gaffers as they found themselves running into a large gap that was too big to cross. Justin stepped back and stretched his legs thinking he was able to jump it before thinking against it.

"Wait, what if I pull a muscle or worse? I end up hitting my face against the ground!" Justin said, caring more about his appearance than his injuries.

Izzy also considered jumping but thought the gap was a bit too big. She looked around wondering if they could go around but saw the lava coming too quickly.

"Izzy, the flare gun would be good right about now." Justin said.

Izzy didn't hesitate to aim at the sky and fire the only flare inside. A moment later, Naruto landed right beside them and lowered his back for them to climb. Just as Beth, Lindsay and Justin climbed on, Izzy was stopped by Milim who quickly arrived in a firefighter costume.

"Hang on bestie!" Milim said as she quickly scooped up Izzy in a bridal carry.

Izzy grinned and held onto Milim who led the way. The ride wasn't too long given their speed and how little Milim and Naruto could take them. So after reaching about 350 meters, Naruto dropped off the team before turning around and firing magical energy at the ground, generating a large wall of ice.

"Welp, this is about as far as we can take you." Milim said as she put Izzy down.

"Thanks Milim." Izzy said as she hugged her friend.

Milim snorted before remembering something, "By the way, don't worry about Owen. Grandma said he's fine, still a bit hurt but he can eat food in a day or two."

Izzy smiled and nodded happily before watching Milim fly away.

"Try not to die." Naruto warned before taking off.

Lindsay smiled and waved, "Don't worry, we won't."

Sometimes ignorance is a blessing and for Lindsay, she only felt more confident. Which was only further supported as the lava was still far.

"Time to go Lindsay!" Beth said as she started to run.

"Oh right! Lava!" Lindsay shouted as she started running as well.

With the Gaffers

While the Screaming Gaffers were not in immediate danger. They had a lot less distance between the lava and themselves.

"Why does it feel like every step we take the finish line is two steps farther?" Harold asked as he started looking tired.

"Don't pass out on me yet Harold." Leshawna said, trying to encourage the nerd.

"I'm sorry Leshawna, but I'm gonna let the team down!" Harold said, thinking his poor stamina will be the end of him.

"Harold, if we lose this challenge. I will ki— actually, I think the lava will do it for me." Heather said, holding back her threat.

The team of four continued to run before finding the ground opening up again. Given how the lava was surrounding them from the sides and the back. The teams had little room to move with and soon found a building in front of them.

"Are you serious?" Leshawna asked.

"Quick, get inside!" Duncan ordered.

Everyone ran inside and closed the door behind them before going up the stairs. Once they reached the rooftop of the building. They found a large opened gap in frot of the building.

"There's no way we can jump that!" Heather exclaimed.

"Shoot, maybe there's something we can use." Leshawna said as she looked around.

"I could probably craft something." Harold said confidently.

Heather just crossed her arms and scowled while secretly hoping she would be rescued. It didn't help that Naruto was flying over her head and it made her feel like buzzards were ready to devour her. By this point, she gave up and had no hope of her team finding something useful.

"This is ridiculous!" Heather yelled as she kicked a nearby box.

However, Heather realized her negative attitude would be her saving grace. Because when the box flipped over, she saw a metal rod-like object falling out. It took Heather a minute to realize what she found and gasped.

"No way!" She said as she dived down to grab it.

"What are you doing now?" Leshawna asked.

Heather picked up what looked like the flute before dusting herself off and shoving it in front of Harold.

"Play it!" She demanded.

"Okay OW!" Harold complained.

Harold quickly licked his lips and got them moist enough to start playing. Once he finished, the flute disappeared and Naruto flew over them and performed a summoning spell. Which resulted in Star suddenly appearing.

"Are you serious!?" Heather angrily asked. "What is she going to do!?"

"Hey guys, how… oh. That's bad." Star said, noticing the lava.

"Magic Girl, now is a good time to help us." Leshawna said as the lava began to flood the building.

"Sure thing! Give me a second! I think I got something for this!" Star said as she prepared to research spells to escape the lava.

But before everyone could rush her, Naruto dropped a scroll on Star's head.

"Take this as a lesson from me." Naruto said before flying away.

Star rubbed her head before opening up the scroll and squinting. As the lava began to rise, the girl closed the scroll and nodded.

"Okay, I know how to do this… I think." Star said, making the team nervous.

Before anyone said anything, Star did a weird tribal stance before using her wand to summon brush strokes. When she finished, she generated the kanji for fire and hit Harold in the face, causing his skin to turn blue.

"What the? Not cool!" Harold said.

"Oh great, what is he going to do now that he looks like a blueberry?" Heather asked.

"Oh don't worry, that's part of the spell. It's called Flame Shield." Star said as she presented the scroll.

By the looks of it, the caster makes their target immune to all forms of heat. Star then repeated the spell onto the rest of the team before casting it into herself.

"Well, let's try it out!" Star said before jumping into the lava.

"Star!" Everyone but Heather shouted.

A second later, Star was floating in the lava as if it were made of water.

"Come in guys, the lava is just… slightly sticky. Like gelatin or something." Star said.

The team looked shocked before Duncan decided to shove Harold inside. Which angered Leshawna who shoved Duncan after him before diving after Harold. Leaving Heather alone who looked afraid only to see her teammates slowly swimming through the river of lava.

"I guess Star performed a good spell for once." Heather said as she slowly dipped her feet into the lava.

Only to immediately shiver as if she touched something disgusting.

Heather's Confessional

"It felt like I was swimming in a pool of warm maple syrup. It didn't hurt but it felt disgusting." Heather said as she shivered.

Back on set

Naruto made his way to the end goal where Chris was waiting behind a barrier. Naruto then reverted back to human form and got behind the barrier where he saw Lisa waiting.

"Mother?" He asked.

"Naruto dear, Owen has recovered but won't be able to wake up in a while. I also have a list of foods he can eat in the meantime." Lisa told him.

"I'll have Chef prepare them." Naruto said.

Lisa looked skeptical when she heard that.

"With the proper money and motivation. Chef cooks like he works at an overpriced hotel." Naruto elaborated despite his adoptive mother's disbelief.

Lisa didn't want to call him out of it but still had her doubts. Regardless, she gave her full report and made a copy for Naruto and one for Chris. The latter so that the host could defend himself when it came to legal stuff.

After that was over with, Chris started speaking through a megaphone.

"And here come our winners! The Killer—"

"The Gaffers?" Naruto asked.

Naruto watched as the Killer Grips were a few hundred feet away but were running as fast as they could. Only for Star and the Screaming Gaffers to swim towards the finish line through the lava.

"Woohoo! You guys won!" Star said as the team crossed the finish line.

The entire team managed to stumble out of the lava just as Naruto used a spell to get rid of the lava. Followed by Heather falling on her face as she didn't walk out properly.

"OW!" Heather complained.

"Stop crying, you're still alive." Naruto said.

"Yeah Heather, stop crying." Leshawna said with a smirk which annoyed the bully girl.

As the team stood up, Chris came down and congratulated them.

"Gaffers, you managed to win this one but at the cost of turning blue for whatever reason." Chris said, unaware of the Flame Shield spell. "Anyways, I also have to congratulate the Grips because this was a reward challenge. So they get the gift of not being voted off."

The Grips all groaned as they realized they almost died for nothing. All the while remembering that Owen got injured over nothing now.

"Don't worry, the big guy is alive." Chris said, knowing what they were thinking. "Anyways, let's talk about what the Gaffers won."

The Screaming Gaffers lightened up as they got something in return for winning at least.

"A free ticket to the alps. Where you will be provided with prepaid lodging and fine dining as well as a guided tour of Germany. These tickets can be redeemed any time after the show ends. Oh and each ticket is worth four seats and doesn't expire, so don't think I'm forcing you all to hang out with each other." Chris explained as he pulled out several golden tickets.

"Huh, I guess that isn't so bad." Heather said, thinking a free vacation is okay.

"As long as the hotel isn't run down and the food is good, I won't complain." Leshawna said.

"I'm gonna half to talk to my parole officer about this one." Duncan said, looking hesitant.

Once the prizes were taken, the Screaming Gaffers went back to the trailers to rest for the evening.

Then just as the Killer Grips were going to mope and be depressed. One of the maids arrived with Owen who looked like he was high off of something.

"Oh good, Owen is here. How are you doing Buddy?" Chris asked.

Owen just grinned as he looked cross eyed.

"He's not gonna sue, is he?" Chris asked.

"Wait, you guys can get sued?" Justin asked.

"It's a complicated thing." Naruto answered. "Anyways, Owen can sign a waiver once he's mentally sound."

Hearing that, Chris was going to get the waiver sooner and make Owen sign it while he was still crazy.

"Anyways, since you all managed to survive. I'll reward your efforts with chips and soda." Naruto said.

"HEY!" Owen suddenly shouted. "I don't want chips and soda, I want soda and chips. Haha!"

Naruto just stared at Owen before looking at the maid who nodded and ran to get chips and soda.

"Owen, are you okay?" Star asked as she approached him.

"I see stars." Owen answered.

"Wait, you see stars as in the shape or as if you see more than one me?" Star asked.

"Who left the faucet on?" Owen asked.

Star just scratched her head in confusion while Izzy just laughed and hugged Owen.

"Owen, I'm glad you're alive." She said.

"I like you too, pretty lady. By the way, don't tell Izzy I called you pretty." Owen said, unable to recognize Izzy at the moment.

Izzy just ignored his weird behavior and kept hugging him. All the while her teammates cautiously approached Naruto.

"Is he going to be alright?" Beth asked.

"Define alright. If you mean that he's going to release farts full of radiation devouring vast amounts of food. He will be perfectly fine in a week." Naruto answered.

Justin whistled, "A week? Something tells me that's going to hurt his diet."

Naruto just shrugged it off and walked away to find his wife.

'The pregnancy is accelerating. Medusa is going to need more attention and care.' Naruto thought before flying away.
