Chapter 53

The Inamorata Consequences

Road to the Venture Compound

Right now Naruto and the Venture group were driving towards the destroyed Venture Compound with gasmask on them, though luckily for Naruto his helmet acts as both a HUD and a gasmask for him, so he was fine, as for the drive, it was for a mutual gathering between both the Guild Council and the OSI, seeing as Rusty was gonna be playing the mediator between both factions, seeing as this meeting was more of a negotiation between them for both parties to have a better grasp of their whole hero/villain ethics.

As for Eenie Meanie, she decided not to join them, since she believed the whole meeting would be boring, not to mention the fact that she'd want to sleep in.

Since Rusty had spent months on the whole speech for the meeting, with Dean helping out here and there, only for the group to stop in front of a "dead cow" in the middle of the road, only for Brock to easily pick it up and threw it away, though it ended up bouncing like a beach ball, thus proving that the cow was a fake, only for guns with laser sights to be pointed at him.

"Watch where you bounce that bouvin, boy-chick." Only for Hunter Gathers to appear, with the gunners standing down, where Brock then took his gasmask off, proving that the whole "contamination" was a fake out to keep people away from the gathering.

With Naruto joining them, "Hey gramps." Naruto simply states in an informal way, making the man grumble about annoying brats, causing Brock to smile at the pair and their antics.

Later

It wasn't long before everyone was mingling inside the tent, having some chocolate ice cream cake in the shape of a whale, all the while Naruto was hanging out with his dad, Phantom Limb and Shoreleave, talking about the James Bond movie, From Russia With Love, with Shoreleave stating that James Bond's gun was a BB gun, causing the adults to become disheartening at the info.

"Oh come on you two, it's a movie, of course they wouldn't use actual guns on it, the BB gun was probably used so that the people who got shot with it would fall at the right time and everything." Naruto simply explains to them.

Though the two were still upset, they understood the whole reasoning behind the gun now, "Besides, I met a villain who was a BIG Spy Who Loved Me fan, hell, he even got it in his head that he WAS the villain from that movie, while thinking that I was James Bond, I even worked with one of my mother's Black Hearts at that time, who also happened to be Russian as well."

Hearing this surprised the three, since they didn't realise that Naruto had actually LIVED the same way as James Bond, at least once.

"Hell, he even managed to hire a henchmen with metal teeth, like Jaws, talk about a fruit loop, he even had the whole "self-destruct" and escape pods as well, which me and my partner had managed to escape in." Naruto states while sipping on some champagne, making the men slightly excited to hear his story some more, with Brock being both proud and jealous of his son for ending up like that.

"Not only that, but I also had to deal with getting a detonator out of a real life nuke, so that was nerve wracking as well." Naruto finished, shocking both Phantom Limb and Shoreleave, though Brock was slightly confused and asked about that.

"The nuke had a impulse conductor unit, basically a metal ring that houses the detonator, but the problem was the ring was magnetic and if I even touched the detonator to the ring, the nuke would've gone off, pretty much an extremely scary game of Operations." Naruto answered, making Brock gulp in fear for his son, but being thankful that the thing didn't go off.

"I even had to redirect the stolen subs to aim at each other instead of at certain points of the world, and as much as it kinda annoyed me, I used the whole one-liners and quips that James had used during my mission to save the world from the madman who wanted to do the whole "Bioshock" game thing, only to the extreme by forcing everyone under the sea, along with the whole no super powers that they had on the game, but I'm sure you guys get the picture." Naruto finished, making the trio amazed by his actions.

"Though it was pretty embarrassing at the end for me, especially when my mom and the top brass who hired us for the mission ended up seeing me and the Black Heart agent having some "celebratory fun" after the mission (stupid homing beacon, couldn't have waited a few more hours)." Naruto grumbled at the end, causing the group to chuckle at Naruto's plight.

"What was even worse was that "knowing smirk" on my mother's face when she saw us, with the top brass asking what we were doing, where I simply replied to their stupid question, "Keeping my end up sir." While closing the curtains so that me and the agent could "finish what we started" before we were interrupted." Naruto smiled at the end, since he could still hear his mother laughing in the background after that, while he turned the comms off so the pair didn't have to listen to the top brass complain about such a thing.

This caused the men to laugh, while congratulating on fulfilling any agent and James Bond fan's dream of doing a Bond-type mission, it wasn't long before the summit was about to start, with the henchmen ringing the bells to get everyone ready for what was about to happen.

The Summit Treaty

Rusty began his introduction speech, while addressing that Naruto, who was a neutral party, will act as a neutralizer in case either party had problems with the treaties and negotiations that were taking place, while introducing the Guild Council, with the henchmen introducing their achievements.

Though once the Guild's intro was finished it was the OSI's turn, one of the henchmen blew a trumpet, very poorly that it made Naruto wince at the noise, with the man admitting that he should've practiced, making Naruto shake his head at the pair, while Shoreleave introduced their own achievements as well, making Naruto sigh at the man's overdramatics.

Unfortunately it wasn't long before either side started arguing, especially during a level 5 arching that had level 8 weapons, where Naruto soon stepped in after a Jim Henson monologue from Shoreleave, with Naruto slamming his axe into the ground to get everyone's attention on him, "How about one agent to a level 5 arching, BUT another agent will be there as back up, just in case of another level 8 weapon "problem" since we wouldn't want another chest explosion thing."

Hearing this, both sides thought about Naruto's words, since it did sound appealing, "But that would mean we'll have two agents on the scene, not just one." Phantom Limb digresses.

Naruto just sighs, "No, there'll only be one ACTIVE agent on the scene, the other agent won't appear on the scene UNLESS the whole Level 8 weaponry happens again, or if the situation ends up becoming a level 8, understand." The Guild was at first against it, but after Naruto's explanation, along with the OSI side reluctantly agreeing, seeing as they're still having two agents on the level 5 scene, but only when needed, but the OSI were slightly stubborn about it, they still agreed with Naruto's idea.

Later

It wasn't long before either side began talking about Mad Scientists, with OSI wanting to push them onto the Guild, Naruto jumped in again, "Okay, stop, that group works for either side, so that would mean that both sides while be involved in stopping them, like a sanctioned "unsanctioned" team up if the Mad Scientist is rogue and doing his own "thing" that could jeopardize everyone, both the Guild and OSI, alright!" Naruto was starting to get frustrated, especially after the whole "pool fighting" between Phantom Limb and Shoreleave, only with there being no pool due to the compound's destruction.

Even Rusty was getting frustrated about the whole arguments going between both sides, with Naruto whispering to the man, "I think this whole thing is more trouble than it's worth." With Rusty agreeing with Naruto at how stupid the whole thing was being.

Though it wasn't long before Rusty began telling the group off, pretty much calling them children since he realised that his father had made them duke it out in the pool all those years ago, with him admitting that his dad was a shitty parent, along with how straight Rusty was with his own boys, thus making both groups come to an understanding and start to reluctantly compromising with each other.

But when Rusty began to mock them in a condescending way was when Naruto tried to hold in his laughter, along with hammering in the compromising part of the meeting.

Only for the henchmen to blow the trumpet once more, signalling the end to the treaty signing, only for Naruto to quickly snatch the thing away and start to crumple it in his hands, turning it into a metal crumpled ball, then passing it to the henchmen, "For a start, NO MORE TRUMPETS!" Naruto yelled out, with both groups being in agreements for the first time the summit started.

Morning

After that, everything during the summit went smoothly, with both sides leaving in satisfaction that they'll be getting something out of the whole summit, with that, the Ventures left the place back to their everyday lives, with Naruto and Dean returning back to their dorms for studies.

The End.

There you have it, Naruto throwing his own little James Bond-like mission to his father and the others, as well as helping during the summit.

It might not have been a long chapter, but please keep in mind that Naruto wouldn't be hanging out with Hank and Dean during those scenes.

Also, I know there's not much action during this chapter, but that's just how the canon went, so really there's not much else for Naruto to do during this meeting.
