Chapter 45: The Demon Heir Vs. Remnant's Saiyan!
The Decisive Battle Comes To An End!
Last Time Gohan defeated the demon Hagota after a hard-fought battle preventing the demon from self-destructing and taking the Half Saiyan out. However, as he goes to join Jason in his fight, it is revealed that the Saiyan is on the precipice of defeat! How did Jason get like this? Find out Now!
Earlier…
"I hope my fur will keep me warm." Jason sighed as he transformed into Super Saiyan Primal.
The icy land that surrounded them broke apart, and the water below came rocketing up as the Saiyan powered up. As his red fur grew and his hair became longer, Sekai floated there with an arrogant grin on his face as Jason finished his transformation.
"Impressive now I see how you killed Zandaka." Sekai smiled as he inspected Jason's new form.
"I see. So you can sense energy then that will make this a harder fight than Zandaka." Jason commented.
"Unlucky for you, yes, but lucky for your friends, my compatriots lack this ability. Us demons aren't as sensitive to sensory as the people of this universe." Sekai explained.
"Though it won't help them much," Sekai added.
"Are we done talking? Because it's still freezing here even with my fur?" Jason questioned.
"Yes, let's not waste any time and fight!" Sekai responded as he summoned his staff.
The demon swung his staff, creating a wave of energy that sped straight towards an unmoving Jason. When the attack reached him, he easily dispelled it with a quick flex of his own energy before firing off a Quasar Flare at Sekai.
Sekai easily dodged the attack before charging towards Jason, who waited for him, and as Sekai swung his staff down, Jason caught it. Once it was in his hands, the Saiyan warrior slammed his fist into Sekai's stomach. However, the attack didn't even faze the demon.
To Jason's surprise, the demon grabbed onto Jason's head and threw him into a nearby iceberg. When his body hit the freezing water, Jason released an intense burst of energy to break apart the ice above. He then shot out and kicked at Sekai's head, but he bent back to avoid the attack.
However, Jason blindsided him with his tail smacking him against the cheek before wrapping around his arm to throw him away. As Sekai crashed and plowed through ice, he remained unfazed instead, keeping his sinister smile on his face.
Using his staff, he stopped his momentum suddenly and instantly before shooting back into the sky. He stared at Jason, remaining silent until he laughed a terrible and twisted laugh showing that he was not taking the fight seriously and instead was getting more of a kick out of it.
"Good! Very good! I can tell that this fight will be magnificent!" Sekai laughed.
"So how about we start getting serious?" Sekai suggested.
"Fine by me," Jason replied.
Suddenly Jason's energy surged as he concentrated all of his energy to reach the peak of Super Saiyan Primal. Or at least what he could bring out without the aid of another person giving him energy.
"I need to figure out a way to win without that power." Jason thought as he darted towards Sekai.
The Saiyan kneed Sekai in the stomach before hammering him towards the icy ground below. But Sekai easily regained his composure and flew back up without even touching the ground. He then sped towards Jason, grabbing the bottom of his staff to whip the Saiyan in the chin.
Sekai proceeded to assault Jason by attacking him with both his staff and kicks. The demon finished his assault by firing a beam point-blank. However, Jason split the attack in two and fired a beam of his own from his mouth.
When the beam reached Sekai, the demon simply smacked it away with his staff before bringing it back down to block a punch from Jason. Getting annoyed by the staff, Jason grabbed hold and attempted to take it away, but Sekai's grip was iron tight.
Seeing that he couldn't take it away, he flipped over and ax kicked Sekai in the top of the head. Even then, Sekai did not let go of his staff, leaving Jason with one thought to get rid of it, and that was to break it.
He fired an Armageddon Blast at the demon, who, unlike with the other Ki attacks, was forced to block the attack as it pushed him back. Before he hit the ground, he spun his staff in a circle causing the blast to halt.
Smirking, Sekai fired an attack of his own behind him, which split in four and turned to head straight towards Jason. Upon seeing this, the Saiyan stopped his attack and flew back, firing a Splitting Flare to counter the beams.
Sekai suddenly appeared behind Jason and fired a beam right in his back. Jason crashed through the ice and fell into the freezing water before Sekai joined him. The Saiyan crossed his arms, blocking Sekai's next attack before spinning around at such high speeds that he creates a whirlpool that spun Sekai around.
The ice above that made the land broke apart and sunk below before shooting straight up with Sekai going along with it. As the demon regained his composure, Jason shot up and slammed his fist into Sekai's chest before punching him across the face sending him away.
"At the moment, he doesn't seem to be any stronger than Zandaka was when he was first brought back. Don't tell me he's still holding back? Or is his strength come from something else that puts him above Zandaka." Jason wondered.
Suddenly the demon appeared behind Jason and brought his staff around and under the Saiyan's neck in an attempt to choke him. But Jason wasn't going to let that happen as he headbutted Sekai then elbowed him in the gut.
Now free of Sekai's grip, Jason fired a Buster Flare straight in the demon's face. Quickly following, Jason reared his fist back to punch Sekai however the demon countered by pushing his staff forward, forcing Jason to dodge.
Before Jason could attack again, Sekai fired a beam from his staff's tip, hitting Jason's chest, sending him towards the ground. But just as Jason was about to hit the ground, the Saiyan placed two fingers at his forehead and disappeared.
Jason appeared above Sekai and hammered down on the demon's head. Thankfully during the months since his fight with Zandaka, Jason had gotten a better handle on Instant Transmission. Sadly he wasn't on Goku's level of mastery, but it would have to do.
Sekai quickly regained his composure and shot back up, planting his staff's back end into Jason's gut. Jason responded by smacking the staff away from him and punching Sekai in the face before kneeing him in the chin.
The demon spun around before smacking Jason across his face with his staff before punching the Saiyan away. Sekai fired several beams at Jason, each striking the Saiyan in several places before pushing Jason into the ice.
As he got himself up, Jason took a quick look at his surroundings seeing the icy wasteland was now broken apart with several holes and islands of ice. He hoped this battle won't adversely affect the Earth if the ice were to continue to break apart as he returned to battle.
Suddenly more beams descended from above, and Jason flew back to avoid the attacks, each hitting the ice and blowing the chunks all around. Before Jason could locate where Sekai was firing from, he sensed a large surge of energy from behind him.
Turning around, Jason saw a large beam approaching him, threatening to pin him in between the two attacks. Shooting up into the sky, Jason avoided both attacks as the beam bulldozed through the terrain while the smaller beams turned to follow the Saiyan.
In response, Jason fired a Splitting Flare to counter out the smaller beams that approached him. But it seemed as if Sekai's assault was far from over as two large spheres of Ki appeared beside him and closed towards him.
Jason held out his hands to stop the attacks, and as they made contact, both of his palms began to burn from the intensity of the energy. The Saiyan slowly pushed the balls away as Sekai's control over energy seemed far greater than what Zandaka could do.
Before Jason could deflect the attacks, Sekai flew up and stopped in front of the Saiyan and, with a sinister smirk, brought down his staff, knocking Jason towards the ground. While Jason fell towards the ground, Sekai directed the two balls of Ki to follow him.
"This is going to be a pain." Jason thought as he put his hands in front of him in a butterfly symbol.
"Just like Cooler…never thought I'd say that." Jason sighed.
"Armageddon Blast!" Jason shouted as he fired the yellow blast.
As the blast made impact with the first ball, it slowly pushed it back until the second one rammed into it. The force of the two balls and Sekai pushing back was too much for Jason's Armageddon Blast as they began to descend towards Jason again.
"Damn." Jason cursed as he stopped his attack allowing the balls of Ki to fall faster.
"Let's see how you do against this!" Jason shouted as he reared his right fist back.
"DRAGON FIST!" Jason yelled as he punched upward so hard and fast that the golden dragon shot out of his fist.
Unlike the first time Jason used this attack where it was an all or nothing gambit. With what training he got in, Jason would be able to use it one or two more times before running out of energy.
The golden dragon flew up and broke straight through the two balls negating the attack and charging straight towards Sekai. Sekai was shocked at the attack's very nature but smirked as he held his staff in front of him, refusing to move an inch.
When the attack reached him, it split in two, much to Jason's surprise as the dragon disappeared, completely negated by Sekai. Jason breathed heavily as he and Sekai stared each other down. He was tired from the constant use of large amounts of energy, but one thing confused him.
While he was tired from the constant use of energy, Sekai was not. In fact, it seemed as if Sekai had barely used any energy at all as his energy was the same as when Jason first sensed him. It was almost as if Sekai never used a single drop of energy at all.
"What the hell is this?" Jason questioned as Sekai laughed.
"You should see the look on your face right now Jason. The confusion is just hilarious," Sekai smirked.
"Allow me to let you in on my little secret as I won't allow it to assist you. You see what I lack in raw power I make up in intelligence." Sekai began.
"While my brother was stronger physically, I was still far stronger. You see, I didn't just invent the device that absorbs energy from solar systems." Sekai continued.
"I also made my staff here, which contains the entirety of the energy I've ever taken as the World Eater, and as long as I hold onto this staff, I will never run out of energy." Sekai finished.
"No wonder he has such an iron grip on that damn thing." Jason thought.
"That being said, I can also use this energy to create attacks that far exceed what my power could allow and, as you saw earlier, cancel out your own attacks whenever I choose," Sekai added.
"That little cheating bitch!" Jason seethed.
"Guess if I want to go for the kill with a Ki attack, I'll need to surprise him with it so that he won't have time to stop it with that staff." Jason thought.
"So how long can you last, I wonder?" Sekai wondered aloud as several hundred small balls of Ki appeared behind him.
Each ball fired several blasts of Ki that came down from above towards Jason like heavy rainfall. Jason flew back, facing the blasts as he weaved through the rain, but it didn't last long. As soon as one made contact with Jason, it exploded, causing the others surrounding him to explode.
Soon the rest homed in on Jason as the Saiyan crossed his arms to block the attack seeing that the second he touches them, they explode. The hail of blasts continued on for what seemed like minutes until they ceased.
When the smoke of the attack cleared, Jason floated over the water battered, bruised, and burned. Even in Super Saiyan Primal, Sekai's stored power far exceeded what he was capable of. If Jason was going to win this battle, he would have to play this smart.
That being said, it would be a difficult task to do. To test the grounds, Jason shot up full speed, not skipping a beat as he slammed his fist into Sekai's stomach. He then spun around and kicked at Sekai's face, only for his attack to be blocked by the demon's staff.
"Even after taking so much damage, you can still fight. Impressive." Sekai smirked as Jason moved back and fired a beam straight at Sekai.
The demon simply held his staff out and split the beam in two, but as he did so, Jason flew above him and came down, knocking Sekai in the head. Sekai fell towards the water below, and without missing a beat, Jason fired his own hail of blasts at the demon.
Knowing that Sekai couldn't stop them all, Jason let loose all he could spare before stopping in order to fire an Armageddon Blast. All the attacks rained down on Sekai, who, instead of blocking with his staff, he created a sphere of energy around him before expanding it rapidly.
It easily absorbed the blasts, which barely affected it until the Armageddon Blast made contact with the sphere. Much like before with the two balls of Ki, Jason's Armageddon Blast wasn't enough to stop the sphere as he was forced to stop and fly out of its radius.
The moment he stopped his attack, the sphere dissipated before several small beams shot out following Jason. Going full speed, Jason flew away from the beams going far away from the icy plains to mountainy hills, then a large dessert and a lush forest before finally reaching the plains once more.
"Damn, I just circled the damn planet, and those beams aren't gone!" Jason cursed as he pushed forward.
He prepared to attack Sekai as soon as he came into sight, but as soon as he saw Sekai, more beams came from in front of him. Jason stopped in place and ceased to fly and fell towards the ground, but both sets of beams followed.
Jason put all of his focus into sensing Sekai's energy as he broke through the ice into the cold water below. As the beams broke through and followed, Jason got what he needed and used Instant Transmission to teleport away behind Sekai.
Spinning around, Jason kicked Sekai square in the spine, sending the demon away, pushing apart the water around them before he hit a large mound of ice. Before Jason could go after Sekai, he sensed the beams from before approaching him fast from beneath him.
The Saiyan managed to weave around many that shot out from the water below, but he was unable to dodge him all as several stuck him in the chest and arms. While Jason reeled in pain, Sekai returned and planted his staff into Jason's stomach.
Sekai proceeded to smack Jason around with his staff before hitting him across the face and firing him away. Jason skidded across the water before coming to a stop and diving down to avoid Sekai's next attack.
Once he was at the bottom of the ocean or at least as far as he could go, Jason proceeded to gather up energy within himself. His entire body began to glow gold as he focused on Sekai's energy signature.
As he focused, he also sensed a large surge of energy above Sekai, no doubt an attack to obliterate him. But Jason wasn't going to just sit there and take it as he shot up towards the surface, pushing away the water around him as his energy took on the shape of a dragon.
Above the water, Sekai commanded the ball of energy to fire a beam that was fifteen meters in diameter down into the water. Even with the beam heading his way, Jason stayed the course as he charged headfirst into the attack as the energy that surrounded him split Sekai's attack.
Pushing forward, Jason and as he let out a roar as he got closer and closer to Sekai before breaking through the beam and punched at Sekai. The demon blocked the attack with his staff nullifying the energy as it exploded out.
Jason's Dragon Fist forced against Zandaka's staff, neither giving the edge over the other as Jason poured more and more energy into his attack. The surrounding area was put into disarray as water was sent flying, and ice was sinking and shattering while lightning struck.
The force of the energy was shaking the entire surroundings around them as it slowly died down with the influence of Sekai's staff. However, before Jason's short-ranged Dragon Fist was snuffed out, a small crack was formed on Sekai's staff, one that was unnoticed.
As Jason breathed heavily from his extensive use of energy, Sekai was still unfazed, having not used much energy at all. The demon then fired a Ki point-blank at Jason's chest, sending the Saiyan flying away before landing on a large chunk of ice breaking it into a small block.
Due to all the damage he sustained and the exhaustion, Jason was forced to revert to his base form as he watched Sekai float above him. Jason barely clung to consciousness as Sekai smirked down on him.
"You put up a valiant fight, Jason, but this is where it ends." Sekai declared as he raised his staff in the air.
"Just so you know, it's nothing personal I honestly couldn't have cared less about you killing my brother. But I can't let strong warriors like yourself survive." Sekai stated.
"All it would take is a few years more training, and even with all the power I have in my staff probably wouldn't have been enough. Oh well, too bad for you." Sekai pointed out.
A giant ball of energy soon formed at the top of the demon's staff that slowly melted the remaining icebergs that surrounded them. Jason attempted to move, but his body was in too much pain to do so. He was a sitting duck, and all he could do was wait for Sekai's attack.
"Farewell," Sekai said as he commanded the ball to hit Jason. As the ball descended towards the Saiyan, a voice began to be heard from far off, barely audible until it got closer.
"Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine MINE!" Vegeta roared as he shot into the battle in Super Saiyan 2, using all of its power to push the attack away.
"Looks like I do get a turn," Vegeta smirked as Krillin finally caught up.
"You know you could have waited up little." Krillin sighed.
"Nope, besides, it seems this World Eater was strong enough to do that to Arrow," Vegeta replied, looking over at Jason, who smiled at the sight of them.
Before Vegeta or Krillin could make a move, the rest of the Z-Fighters and Elias joined them surrounding Sekai. Sekai looked at them, knowing exactly what it meant about all of them being here and not fighting his underlings.
"I see, so I'm the last one, aren't I?" Sekai inquired.
"That's right, you're the last one," Elias answered.
"But don't worry, you'll join them soon enough." Vegeta declared.
"Let's quit the chit chat and get this over with." Piccolo requested, having recovered most but not all of his strength. Krillin was about to hand him a senzu until Piccolo spoke up.
"Krillin, give the last senzu to Jason. He needs it more than I do." Piccolo ordered.
"Well, if you say so," Krillin replied.
"Senzu Bean!" Krillin shouted as he threw the green bean towards Jason, only for Sekai to destroy it with a quick blast of Ki.
"Now, that wouldn't be fair to undo all that I had done just now. How about we just have fun without Jason." Sekai laughed.
"Fine by me," Vegeta smirked.
"Not by me!" Krillin cried.
"Enough, we'll just have to bide time until Jason can join us," Gohan stated.
"He's right." Tien agreed.
"Come at me then!" Sekai yelled as the seven fighters closed in on Sekai.
Vegeta reached Sekai first, throwing the first punch, but Sekai grabbed onto the Saiyan's arm and threw him into Yamcha. As he blasted them away, he turned to swing his Staff at Elias, who raised his arm to block the attack, but it sent him flying as well.
From behind, Gohan and Piccolo fired a combined beam at Sekai, who blocked with his staff, which unknowingly increased the small crack. While he was focused on Gohan and Piccolo, Krillin threw two Kienzan's at the demon.
Sekai simply dropped down and avoided the two disks as they sped towards Gohan and Piccolo, who split up to avoid them. Before Sekai could fly back up, he was hit from above by Tien with a Kikoho. The attack sent the demon far beneath the waves of ice-cold water while Piccolo approached Jason.
"How you holding up?" Piccolo asked.
"Not great. If I have time, I should be able to get back into battle since I have a decent amount of energy still. But Sekai delt a lot of damage." Jason answered.
"I see." Piccolo sighed.
"Do you have any tips on how to beat this guy, at least?" Piccolo inquired.
"You need to be careful around his staff. It can dispel energy when he commands it, and it stores all the energy he's gathered over the years." Jason began.
"He won't get tired from excessive use of energy, and he can expel energy far greater than what he could normally use, which will be dangerous." Jason continued.
"I'd say take the staff away, but his grip is iron tight, so it's best to try and take him by surprise," Jason informed.
"Understood, so if we hit his staff when we take him off guard, it may break it, right?" Piccolo asked.
"In theory, but it has to be completely by surprise so that he doesn't dispel the energy," Jason answered.
"Can you two quit talking and start helping!" Vegeta shouted as he dodged an attack from Sekai before firing a Big Bang Attack at the demon's back.
"Get better soon. We'll need all the help we can get." Piccolo stated.
"Yeah, I'll get right on that." Jason sighed as Piccolo flew off back to battle.
"There's supposed to be a full moon tonight, according to Krillin. Hopefully, it will come out soon." Jason thought as he watched the sun slowly sink over the horizon.
Krillin, Yamcha, and Gohan fired a combined Kamehameha at Sekai while Elias charged in from behind with a blade made of Ki. Sekai spun his staff to block the combined Kamehameha while he grabbed onto Elias's arm, stopping him just before he pierced his head.
But with both of his hands full, he was unprepared for when Vegeta slammed his fist into Sekai's stomach, and Tien hammered him away. When Sekai recovered, he was surrounded by a Hellzone Grenade, which quickly shot towards him.
To protect himself, Sekai countered by creating several orbs of energy around himself and shot them out, meeting Piccolo's Hellzone Grenade halfway. As the opposing energies exploded, Yamcha charged in and attacked Sekai from behind with a Wolf Fang Fist.
He managed to hit Sekai several times in the back before the demon spun around to knock Yamcha away with his staff. Sekai was stopped just short by Piccolo grabbing on to the staff with his extended arm and Gohan kicking Sekai into the water.
Now in the water, Elias and Vegeta assaulted Sekai, who having enough to being tossed around, regained his composure and blocked most of their attacks. Eventually, Sekai caused the entire area around them to explode with energy pushing both Vegeta and Elias away.
"Damn, he just won't go down!" Vegeta cursed.
"Jason said that his staff holds enormous amounts of energy, so he won't be tiring any time soon, and his attacks are far stronger than what his energy could allow," Piccolo explained.
"What-THAT CHEATING BASTARD!" Vegeta roared.
"Yeah, I have to agree with Vegeta there. And a fair share of warning he still has more of those devices that can absorb the planet's energy." Elias sighed.
It felt odd to agree with him, for while he wouldn't say that he hated Vegeta since the Saiyan was more like his ancestors, it was still odd between them. Even when they first met, they barely exchanged but a few words.
"Is there anything else he can do?" Tien asked.
"Dispel energy with the staff if there's anything else he's yet to show it," Piccolo answered.
"Lucky for you lot, that is the extent of what I can do to harm you. But while on the subject of my devices, let's make this more interesting." Sekai smirked as he pulled out four of the poles. The demon spun around and threw them away in separate directions.
"Now I don't think I need to explain that with four in the ground, the energy will be absorbed four times faster." Sekai smirked.
"Damn." Piccolo cursed.
"We need to split up and take out those devices before the energy of the entire solar system is absorbed!" Piccolo stated.
"Oh great, like one wasn't hard enough!" Krillin cried.
"Krillin's right. This is going to be hard, especially if those creatures come back." Yamcha agreed.
"We have no choice but to go." Tien pointed out.
"True, but I won't allow you all to just leave freely," Sekai smirked as he kicked Krillin into the water below before swinging his free hand towards Piccolo taking off his right arm.
As Piccolo screamed in pain, Gohan and Vegeta both charged in to attack Sekai. The demon turned around and countered each one of their attacks until he was blasted in the back. Taking this opportunity, Gohan and Vegeta kicked Sekai in the face sending him away.
"Who the hell shot me?!" Sekai questioned.
"I guess centuries of not fighting have made you way to relaxed Sekai. Even with energy sensing, you let your guard down." Jason smirked as he flew up and joined his friends.
The Saiyan was in Super Saiyan 2 since, at the moment, he did not have enough energy to sustain Super Saiyan Primal. Jason then fired a hail of energy at Sekai, who conjured his own to counter it, causing a large explosion that separated Sekai and the fighters with a cloud of smoke.
"It's about time you got back up Arrow," Vegeta stated.
"Sorry about that, but we need to have some go and get those poles out," Jason replied.
"We'll go. We won't be much here anyway." Krillin volunteered as Yamcha and Tien nodded in agreement.
"I'll go too since Piccolo needs time to heal up. Plus, with one arm, it will be hard for him to fight the Grimm." Elias offered.
"Okay, then be careful, and I know this is asking a lot but try to get back soon," Jason said as the four shot off to find the devices.
While they left, the smoke cleared, and the four remaining fighters were faced with Sekai, who shot forward with streams of beams following him. The four fighters countered the beams with their own before teaming up to attack Sekai.
Jason punched at Sekai's head only for the demon to dodge the attack, but as he did, he was kicked in the hip by Gohan. Before the demon could recover, Vegeta hammered him down straight into Piccolo, who slammed his fist into Sekai's back.
With The Others…
With the rest of the fighters who left to remove the new devices, they were currently forced to focus on the Grimm. The dark creatures spawn fast from the dark liquid, and to prevent any from getting to the nearby cities, they were forced to keep them contained.
Before they split up, Krillin explained to Elias how they managed to pull the first one out and how it may be near impossible for someone alone to pull another out. However, they had no choice but to split up to contain the Grimm.
Elias easily cut through all of the airborne Grimm while he fired upon the stragglers below, keeping them within a perimeter. As he did this, Elias noted the effectiveness of the Ki blade and understood why his brother used it so much.
As they fought, the commotion of both their fight and the fight with Sekai caused an even larger crowd to form outside Mr. Satan's house. The world martial arts champion gave a feeblish smile to them and a false promise as he hid underneath his bed in fear, confusing his daughter, who remained none the wiser.
Back With The Battle With Sekai…
Jason was on the defensive, barely dodging Sekai's attacks as the demon assaulted him. Before Sekai could lad a strike, Vegeta fired a Final Flash, forcing Sekai to dispel it with his staff. While he was distracted, Gohan joined his hands and knocked Sekai in the side of the head.
As he fell, Piccolo fired a kick Mankankosappo, which the demon deflected. The battle continued for several minutes, with several explosions ringing throughout the area. But the overwhelming power of Sekai's almost bottomless pit of energy was too much.
Piccolo soon was put out of commission from his prior exhaustion and injuries and being down one arm while the other three weren't far off. Jason was hoping the full moon would come out soon, but with all the smoke from the battle, that was still a ways off.
Gohan kicked at Sekai's head, and as the demon easily dodged, the Half Saiyan fired a Masenko point-blank to send the demon away. Vegeta and Jason joined together to punch Sekai, who blocked their attack with his staff before they flipped over and kicked him in the head.
However, Sekai was barely fazed and pushed by the attack as Vegeta and Jason were only in Super Saiyan 2. Even Gohan's attack didn't push the demon far off as Sekai released a shockwave that sent the three Super Saiyans flying.
Jason recovered first, firing a volley of Ki to get Sekai's attention. The demon sped towards him as Gohan intercepted by kicking Sekai in the stomach suddenly. Before Sekai could attack Gohan, he was blasted in the back by Vegeta with a Big Bang Attack.
As Sekai recovered, the three Saiyans formed a triangle around him as they fired large beams at him. Not able to dispel all of the attacks, Sekai once again surrounded himself in a sphere of energy as the attacks hit.
When the beams hit his sphere, Sekai retaliated by firing off several beams from the sphere all over the area. The sudden attack caused the three Saiyans to stop their attack to dodge the beams as Sekai dispelled the sphere and fired shot directly at the Saiyans.
Each hit their mark, causing the respective fighter to fall towards the water before Sekai fired more beams that shot them right back up. Sekai played with them some more, knocking them back and forth with several Ki attacks until he stopped allowing the Saiyans to regroup.
"This isn't good. I'm running low on energy," Gohan stated.
"This bastard just won't go down." Vegeta seethed.
"We can't stop yet!" Jason said as he looked up to see the distinct shine of moonlight seep down.
"And this battle may just change," Jason smirked as Sekai flew above them.
"I think not!" Sekai smirked as he raised his staff, causing all the smoke and ash to join up and create a barrier that blocked out moonlight.
"When I first got into the universe, I used my power to give myself a full report on your genealogy, so I know about the effects the full moon has on you," Sekai explained as he crushed any hope of getting sufficient blutz waves.
"Shit," Jason muttered as Sekai created a large array of small balls of Ki, of which he rained down on the three Saiyans.
Each flew away, avoiding as much of the energy as they could before inevitably each got hit, and the energy exploded. They fell to the cold water below as they all returned to their base forms, having run out of power.
"What is that old saying? Ah yes, all good things must come to an end." Sekai smiled as he hovered above the three Saiyans.
"I'm not done yet!" Jason declared as he slowly rose from the ocean.
"I made a promise to someone that I would return on time," Jason stated as he remembered his promise to Neo, who awaited his return for their wedding.
"Oh, but you have no power left, so what will you do?" Sekai questioned as Vegeta threw a ball of energy straight past Sekai's head.
"You missed fool." Sekai laughed only for Vegeta to smirk.
"That's what you think. BURST OPEN AND MIX!" Vegeta shouted as the ball exploded in a bright light behind Sekai.
Sekai turned and was perplexed by the odd attack but soon realized what it was when a surge of power came from behind him. Before Sekai could even turn back, a large hand swatted him out of the sky into the ocean as the Golden Oozaru roared.
Soon the Golden Oozaru shrunk into a golden ball before returning Jason to his Super Saiyan Primal form. Now back in control, Jason gave some energy to his fellow Saiyans so that they could move before turning his attention back to Sekai, who returned to the surface.
"Gonna have to thank Vegeta later for this," Jason smirked.
"Okay, I'll admit that took me by surprise, but even if you have returned to this form, it won't save you!" Sekai shouted as he fired several beams at Jason.
"We'll just see about that because I refuse to die!" Jason shouted.
Jason weaved his away through the beams before reaching Sekai and clocking the demon across the face. He then spun around to kick at Sekai's head, only to be blocked by Sekai's staff. Turning around, Jason wrapped his tail around the staff to keep it in place as he lands another kick.
In response, Sekai quickly got his staff out of Jason's tail's grip to nail Jason in the chin before twirling it around and slamming the end into his stomach. As Jason reeled, Sekai fired a blast point-blank, sending Jason down to the water, but he managed to stop himself before he hit the water.
Sekai followed, and the two flew around the area pushing apart the water below them as they exchanged blows. The demon then created several balls of Ki ordering them to follow Jason around as the Saiyan flew to the sky.
It seemed that Sekai was done playing games as he also fired several beams to attempt to kill Jason by whatever means possible. Jason deflected all the attacks he could while attempting to get away from the rest with his speed.
Getting a plan in mind, Jason turned and flew straight towards Sekai. The demon was perplexed when Jason came at him but soon realized his plan and scoffed. Such a thing would never work as he stopped his attacks and commanded them to move around and intercept Jason.
"Well, it was worth a shot." Jason sighed as he noticed the attacks move in front of him.
Jason stopped himself immediately but was unable to move before many of the attacks hit him, exploding. Eventually, Jason got out of the explosions and fired a Splitting Flare to stop the remaining attacks that came after him.
Suddenly Sekai appeared behind him, and he spun around to attack, resulting in a shockwave as his attack was blocked by Sekai's staff. When Jason's fist collided with the staff, the crack increased further as Jason backed up.
"I'm done! Just die already!" Sekai demanded as he fired a large beam towards Jason, who countered with an Armageddon Blast.
However, Jason was forced to put everything he had into his attack as Sekai's beam threatened to eviscerate him and a portion of the planet. But Jason wasn't alone as Gohan and Vegeta joined him both in Super Saiyan 2.
"We've got your back Jason!" Gohan declared, tearing off the last remains of the front part of his Gi, leaving only his undershirt.
"I'm not letting this cheat to sully the pride of the Saiyans!" Vegeta stated as both fired a Final Flash and Kamehameha, respectively.
With Gohan and Vegeta's help, the three were able to hold back the beam more, but Sekai simply increase the output to put more pressure on them. The large beam slowly approached the three Saiyans as they struggled to keep it back, looking as if all was lost.
"Come on, that had to be enough time for him to finish!" Jason complained as he sensed another energy slowly charging up. Thankfully Sekai was too busy to notice the energy building up.
"This is the end!" Sekai laughed as he increased the power output once more.
"For you, that is!" A voice shouted as a spiraling beam shot from below and hit Sekai's staff right at the crack.
The demon looked down to see Piccolo with a smug smirk on his face as Sekai's staff finally snapped in two. Sekai was completely a gasp from the development as the energy ceased and what remained exploded, sending all the fighters into the water and lighting up the night sky.
Jason was first to breach the surface, followed by Piccolo, Gohan, and lastly Vegeta the former two were once again in their base form. Sekai was still up there when the light died down, and the smoke cleared, but he was different.
He was missing an arm and a leg and was bleeding profusely. Jason slowly flew up to him as he stared at him straight in the eyes. Soon after, Sekai quickly took out a syringe, and before Jason could stop him, he injected the contents into himself.
Once he did, his missing limbs returned, and the bleeding stopped entirely. But Jason could tell that Sekai was still damaged and was nowhere near full health. Not only that, but Sekai breathed heavily, finally showing signs of exhaustion.
"Looks like the tables have turned, haven't they?" Jason questioned as he was joined by the others.
"That's what he gets for using some cheap trick." Vegeta huffed.
"You three go help the others. I'll finish this fight." Jason requested, knowing that he had enough power to finish Sekai off.
"Are you sure?" Gohan asked.
"Yeah, the others need your help more than I do," Jason responded.
"He's right, Gohan. We need to help the others if we have time and strength, we'll come back." Piccolo agreed as Gohan looked at him before giving him a nod.
"Fine, but if you somehow lose, I'll never let you live it down," Vegeta replied as he flew off, followed by Gohan and Piccolo.
"Ready to finish this?" Jason inquired as he turned his attention back to Sekai.
"Don't think that just because my staff is gone that I'm completely helpless!" Sekai declared as he charged at Jason.
With The Others…
As Jason reengaged Sekai, the rest of the fighters fought off the Grimm while trying to think of a way to pierce the force field that surrounded it. But when Sekai's staff was broken, the force field dissipated, leaving the device open.
However, most were unable to do anything with the Grimm spawning in droves until Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo arrived. The newly arrived fighters took care of the devices by pulling them out and tossing them into orbit as the others took care of the Grimm.
On the other hand, Elias had no problem doing the deed himself as he threw the pole into orbit and eradicated the rest of the Grimm. Elias let out an audible sigh as he destroyed the black liquid and powered down to rest.
The same was for the others, as each were too low on energy to help out Jason in his battle. Elias looked up and 'watched' the fight by sensing the clashing energies. It was now all up to Jason to finish this battle.
With Jason…
Jason and Sekai clashed several times around the now ocean as Jason easily broke through Sekai's defenses, landing decisive blows. Without his staff, it seems Sekai was much less a fighter than before as Jason punched Sekai right in the jaw.
As Sekai fell down, Jason kneed him in the cheek before firing a Quasar Flare point-blank. The demon was sent flying away as Jason appeared behind him and kicked him back. Quickly following, Jason grabbed onto Sekai's head before slamming his fist into Sekai's face.
"This got boring fast. I'm done with you." Jason stated as he let go of Sekai, preparing himself to kill him. But Sekai wasn't done yet as he released a sudden burst of energy, sending Jason away.
"Okay, I think I have a good understanding of your power now. I don't usually do hand to hand like this since I mainly rely on the power of my staff, not unlike my Aunt Towa." Sekai began.
"But now that I understand you better than I did when I had all my power, I can fight you better," Sekai stated as he shot off towards Jason.
The demon was faster than before and managed to land several strikes on Jason before the Saiyan finally caught up. Jason caught Sekai's fist before elbowing the demon in the head as Sekai responded by kneeing Jason in the gut.
After letting go of Sekai's fist, Jason grabbed onto the demon's leg tossing him behind him before shooting off after him. Flipping over several times, Jason kicked Sekai in the stomach, sending him into the water below.
Diving under the water, Jason sensed around for any sign of Sekai, but before he could even get a lock on him, he was shot in the back of the head. Just as suddenly as the attack came did Sekai grab onto Jason's head and spin around furiously before throwing him away.
Sekai proceeded to unleash a surge of energy that pushed the surrounding water away, allowing him to breathe. No sooner than he did so did Sekai create several beams he fired towards Jason, who began to fly back towards him.
However, Jason was hyper-focused and easily made his way through the beams before kicking Sekai into the air allowing the water to return to normal. Jason soon followed and threw a punch at Sekai, who returned with one of his own, resulting in a cross counter.
Both separated and fired off several volleys of Ki at one another, each countering the other as they were now evenly matched. Once they stopped, Jason shot off a Dragon Fist, which charged right as Sekai following him around as he flew about.
Unlike before, Sekai was unable to dispel the attack with his staff, so the demon was forced to run away from the attack. But as he flew, Sekai eyed the attack up and down as he gaged exactly the amount of power it held.
Once he got the exact picture, he fired a precise beam of opposing power that caused the dragon to explode. The second he did, Jason appeared behind him, readying another Dragon Fist as Sekai spun around with enough power to counter it before Jason could even fire the attack.
"I don't need my staff to stop your attacks, Jason. The fact is I base all the functions of my staff on something, though, of course, it takes time." Sekai smirked as Jason glared at him.
Jason responded by using his free hand to grab Sekai's arm and flip over and kicked him in the head. Afterward, he fired a beam from his mouth to push Sekai away before he charged after him and punched the demon who dodged the attack.
Sekai then elbowed Jason in the back, sending him into the ocean below as he created a large ball of Ki to throw at the Saiyan. But a beam came out of the ocean and hit the ball, causing it to explode before Sekai could throw it.
Shooting out of the water, Jason slammed his head into Sekai's stomach, causing the demon to puke out blood. Jason then used his tail to wrap around Sekai's head and threw him away before firing a Quasar Flare at him.
The beam hit the demon and did significant damage as Jason followed it up by hammering the demon towards the water. Sekai stopped himself just before he hit the water and fired out a large beam at Jason that was so strong Jason reared his fist back.
Jason shot off another Dragon Fist splitting the attack apart as Sekai smirked, having wanted precisely this. When the dragon approached him, Sekai covered both of his hands in energy and redirected the attack right back at Jason.
Not seeing this event coming, Jason crossed his arms to defend himself as his own Dragon Fist hit him and exploded. When the dust cleared, Jason fell into the ocean, still in Super Saiyan Primal, but no one could know for how long.
Sekai slowly approached the water as he sensed where Jason could possibly be. He couldn't sense a trace of the Saiyan's energy until it skyrocketed as Jason shot out behind him. The demon turned quickly to stop Jason, but his arm was grabbed by Jason before he punched Sekai's chest.
Once again, Jason used a Dragon Fist though one much weaker than the last two he had used against Sekai, exploding instantly. Jason fell back, returning to his base form exhausted as Sekai came out of the smoke with a large bruise on his chest.
The demon breathed heavily from both exhaustion and the severe damage that he had taken. His serum was only meant to regrow limbs, not heal damage such as what Jason had done to him. Sekai had never experienced this before as it felt like his body was going to fall apart.
"Nice try Saiyan. It looks like you've used the last of your energy." Sekai laughed as he slowly approached Jason.
"Don't be too sure, World Eater!" Jason shot back. As soon as he said that, Jason shot up and slammed a ball of Ki in Sekai's bruised chest.
The energy rang through Sekai's body before his right arm crumbled up and broke off, falling to the water below. Sekai looked at his missing appendage and was astonished at the sudden development as both of his legs soon followed.
"Wha-what is this?" Sekai questioned as the rest of his body soon began to decay, now truly falling apart.
"Your body is giving out on you. You suffered too much damage, and whatever potion you used to regrow your limbs didn't help you much." Jason stated.
"I see. Well, this is the first time I've been injured like this before. My serum was only meant to regrow missing limbs, not deal with severe damage." Sekai sighed as he knew he had lost.
"You truly are a strong warrior, Jason. I honestly have nothing left I can do to save myself." Sekai laughed.
"I only extended my life a few damn minutes." Sekai chuckled.
"For a dying man, you still packed a decent punch," Jason said as he spat out some blood and breathed heavily, barely clinging to consciousness.
"You have truly earned my respect Jason, and as a show of my respect, I shall instill this warning upon to you." Sekai began as Jason raised his brow in curiosity, knowing that Sekai could do nothing more.
"There is a being in this universe far stronger than I, and if you are not prepared, this monster will kill you and your friends without fail." Sekai laughed.
"What are you talking about?!" Jason questioned, not liking what Sekai was implying.
"When I first saw this universe several millennia ago, I stayed away because I feared this monster, and so should you." Sekai continued as his body was nearly gone.
"So Jason let this be known….beware Ma…ji..n…Bu…u…" Sekai muttered as his body decayed away, fully ending the demon's life.
"Majin Buu?" Jason questioned as the exhaustion finally set in, and the Saiyan passed out.
Jason and the Z-Fighters reign victorious over the demons who attempted to threaten Earth and soon after the very universe! With them out of the way, they may return to their everyday lives. But who or what is this Majin Buu that Sekai spoke off, and why was he so terrified of it? This and more Next Time!

Hey guys Happy Late New Year, and with a new year comes the end of this shorter arc. Honestly, I was going to have the fight last one more chapter, but to be honest, I couldn't get a good way of continuing the fight while making it both long and interesting.
I was going to end the chapter when Jason returned to SSJ4, but since there wasn't much left to do with it, so I decided to round it off. I do hope the rest of the fight was still good, even though it was a bit short for the second half.
As for the taking out the absorption devices, since I already wrote about it and since all they were really going to do was fight Grimm, I felt less was more with it. Honestly, going to great detail with that stuff in my mind would have slowed down the chapter and overall fight.
Quick clarification for those that need it on how Sekai's staff worked it contained the energy of every planet/solar system he absorbed the power of. Additionally, it can only dispel energy when he commands it, so when Piccolo fired his Mankankosappo to break it, Sekai was not prepared for the attack.
Next chapter is going to end off the arc fully with Jason and Neo's wedding and some other things. I also hope you guys enjoyed Buu's name drop here, and before anyone asks, yes, Buu will be far stronger in this story than he was in Z since Jason is an SSJ4, and beyond that, I will keep a mystery.
