Chapter 51: Enter The Alien Ship!
Last Time the World Martial Arts Tournament officially begun as our heroes eagerly waited for their match. When Gohan got into the ring he was shocked to see that his opponent was Jason! Telling Gohan to go all out the two clashed until Gohan's energy was stolen by two participants.
After a quick explanation, many of our heroes rush off after the two so that they can lead them to the wizard Babidi? Can our heroes prevent Buu's revival? Find out Now!
Earth…
"So, do we have a plan?" Piccolo inquired.
"We're going to follow those two to where Babidi is hiding. Then we take him out before they have the chance to revive Majin Buu." Jason explained.
"Simple enough guess we didn't all need to come," Krillin commented.
"It is in our best interest to ensure victory. We have no idea what Babidi has in store for us." Kibito stated.
"This better be worth it," Vegeta grunted.
"Sorry again about the secrecy, you guys, but it was necessary." Jason apologized.
"It's alright it seems like it was necessary," Goku replied.
"That being said Arrow shouldn't you be back on your planet with your wife? I thought she was expecting soon?" Vegeta inquired.
"Actually, she gave birth last month. Got a new son waiting at home." Jason smiled.
"And Neo let you come here to fight a monster?" Krillin questioned, baffled.
"If I did this to 18 after she gave birth, she'd kill me." Krillin sighed.
"Well, Neo understood the situation," Jason replied.
"But that being said, the faster we do this, the better. I'd rather not push my luck and face my wife's wrath." Jason added, knowing that if he took too long, Neo would punish him.
"Neo can be scary when she wants to. I'd rather her not play with my tail again either." Jason thought, not wanting that knowledge said aloud.
"So what can we expect to see at our destination?" Gohan asked.
"Wherever Babidi is hiding is no doubt heavily guarded. He has a twisted ability to force all people with evil in their hearts to submit to him." Shin explained.
"So we should expect scores of enemies," Shin added.
"Well, in that case, this might actually be fun," Vegeta smirked as he sped up.
"Vegeta, don't get too close!" Jason called as he flew after the Saiyan Prince.
"If he gets too close, he'll expose us!" Kibito gasped.
"Ah, don't worry, Vegeta's just like this he'll keep a good distance," Goku assured.
"Let's hope." Krillin sighed.
World Martial Arts Arena…
Back at the world martial arts arena, the officials were trying to figure out what to do next as a majority of their participants flew off. As they deliberated, the crowd became increasingly impatient, demanding the next match.
"What can we do? More than half of our participants left?" The Announcer questioned.
"Uh, I don't know. We're going to need to reconfigure the brackets." A Tournament Official answered as Mr. Satan stomped over.
"What's going on here? Why hasn't the next match started?" Mr. Satan inquired as he had not been watching the previous match.
"Several of the other participants flew off, sir. We're trying to figure out how to continue." An Official explained.
"Flew off?" Mr. Satan questioned as he looked over at the remaining participants seeing that the problem fighters for him were gone.
"This can be my big break!" Mr. Satan smirked as he turned back to face the officials and the announcer.
"The answer is simple gentlemen, by leaving early, they forfeit the match." Mr. Satan stated.
"But what will we do for the tournament?" An Official questioned.
"Easy, we have a battle royal." Mr. Satan answered.
"A battle royal?" The Announcer wondered.
"It works." An Official pointed out.
"I say let's do it!" Another Official replied.
"Alright then." The Announcer smiled as he walked onto the stage.
"Sorry for the wait, everyone, but we've finally come to a decision, and the rest of the tournament will be a battle royal with the remaining participants!" The Announcer declared.
To the relief of all the officials, the crowd seemed to love the idea as they applauded the declaration. As they did, the remaining participants walked up to the stage, taking all sides waiting for the match to begin.
"Well, hello there good looking. How about after I win, we can go and get a bite to eat?" Jewel inquired as he checked 18 up and down.
"Piss off." 18 replied, shocking the man who had never had a woman reject him or even treat him as such.
"You little…no one rejects me!" Jewel hissed.
"Don't care. Even if I wasn't married, I wouldn't be interested in you." 18 stated, not even turning to look at Jewel.
"Married? Oh…well…" Jewel stammered as he bushed as he was embarrassed.
"Just my luck, the only girl here is married," Jewel murmured as Trunks and Goten looked at the scene confused.
"What are they arguing about?" Goten asked.
"I don't know. Besides, it doesn't matter. The match is about to begin." Trunks pointed out.
"Oh right, this is going to be fun." Goten smiled as the two prepared to fight.
Meanwhile, Mr. Satan was thinking of how best to make this fight a show for the fans as he, in his unbelievable ego, didn't notice he was outmatched. Soon once everything was ready, the countdown began.
"Let the match begin in 3." The Announcer began.
"2." The Announcer continued.
"1. Begin!" The Announcer declared as the battle royal began.
Just as the match began, several of the participants lost as 18, Trunks, and Goten eliminated them from the tournament with absolute ease. This left only 18, Trunks/Goten and Mr. Satan as the last remaining participants of the tournament.
"What just happened?" Mr. Satan questioned as 18 stared down Trunks and Goten.
"Uh, do you think we can beat Mrs. 18?" Goten inquired.
"Don't know if we don't try." Trunks replied.
"Okay, first I'll take down Might Mask, then while the woman is basking in my awesomeness, I'll toss her out of the ring. Yeah, that'll work." Mr. Satan planned fooling himself.
But when he went to execute his plan, neither 18 nor Trunks and Goten were in sight. Mr. Satan looked around the ring but couldn't see any of them. Checking the crowd, they all were looking up into the sky.
"What's everyone looking at?" Mr. Satan wondered as he looked up to see 18 fighting Trunks and Goten in the sky.
"Oh boy, this can't be good for me." Mr. Satan murmured.
The fight between 18 and Mighty Mask was shockingly even only because unknown to most, the top and bottom of Mighty Mask were to different fighters. Because of the odd fighting style, 18 couldn't get a good hit in.
"We're actually doing it!" Goten exclaimed in a low whisper.
"Don't let up now!" Trunks replied as they sped up their attacks. However, unfortunately for them, 18 began to catch onto their movements.
Once 18 was able to match their movements, she began to overpower them, pushing the two boys back. Thinking quickly, the boy's switched places catching 18 off guard putting her on the defensive.
But that didn't last long as she flexed her energy slightly, pushing the two boys back and twisting around in the costume that disguised them. It was then, after seeing the weird movements 18 put two and two together, that Mighty Mask was two people fighting as one.
"Now, that's just not fair." 18 smirked as she raised her hand.
"Kienzan!" 18 shouted as she threw the yellow disk at Mighty Mask, splitting Trunks and Goten apart.
"I don't believe it! She split Might Mask in half!" The Announcer gasped.
"Aw man, she found us out!" Trunks complained as he tore off what remained of Mighty Mask's costume.
"That's no fair!" Goten muttered as he too shed Mighty Mask's clothing.
"That's where they've been!" Chi-Chi howled.
"I'm almost not surprised." Bulma sighed as Tunks and Goten stared 18 down.
"I wasn't expecting you two to be in there." 18 stated.
"Well, we were, and now you have to deal with both of us!" Trunks declared.
"Yeah!" Goten agreed as Trunks, and Goten charged at 18.
"HOLD IT!" The Announcer shouted, causing both Trunks and Goten to stop.
"You two aren't supposed to be in this tournament, and working together is against the rules!" The Announcer stated as Trunks and Goten looked nervous.
"You're going to have to leave the ring!' The Announcer ordered.
"Guess we can't continue," Goten murmured.
"No fair." Trunks complained as he and Goten flew off, hoping to avoid getting in trouble.
"Oh no! If they go, then that means…." Mr. Satan thought as 18 landed.
"Hey, the fight is still on!" 18 reminded as Mr. Satan flinched and began to sweat.
"Oh uh…right." Mr. Satan stuttered.
"This isn't good. There's no way I can win. What can I do?" Mr. Satan questioned.
"Ah…here I come!" Mr. Satan shouted.
"I just got to take her out quick!" Mr. Satan thought as he charged at 18 with his right arm raised. But to his dismay, 18 easily stopped him and put him in a headlock.
"Do you want to win this tournament?" 18 whispered as Mr. Satan flailed around.
"Wait, what?" Mr. Satan questioned as he stopped.
"Do you want to win this tournament?" 18 reiterated.
"W-What are you getting at?" Mr. Satan inquired.
"Look, we both know you can't beat me, so I'll make you a deal. Pay me six million Zeni, and I'll throw the match." 18 explained.
"But why?" Mr. Satan asked.
"Because I'm only here for the money, so if you pay me more than what I can make here, then I'll give you the win." 18 answered.
Mr. Satan stood there and thought over 18's offer. He knew it would be his only way of keeping his image as Earth's strongest. All it would cost him was 6 million Zeni which was something he could easily let go of.
"Fine, you have a deal!" Mr. Satan said.
"Good to see you're not as dumb as I thought." 18 smirked as everyone watched the unmoving fighters.
"What's 18 doing? She's just holding him there?" Yamcha wondered as Bulma and Chi-Chi were fuming about Trunks and Goten flying off.
"Maybe she's hoping to choke him out," Roshi suggested.
But then, out of nowhere, 18 was sent flying away towards the edge of the ring even though it seemed Mr. Satan didn't move at all. The crowd was stunned and confused as Mr. Satan stood there before doing his normal boasting.
Then to the surprise of all who knew 18, when Mr. Satan attacked again, she was sent out of the ring ending the match in her loss and Mr. Satan keeping his title. As the rest of the crowd cheered for the champ's victory, Bulma, Chi-Chi, Yamcha, Roshi, and Marron were stunned.
"How did that blowhard beat 18? She should have easily mopped the floor with the guy?" Chi-Chi wondered.
"There's no way she would throw the fight, would she?" Bulma questioned as 18 got up, said something to Mr. Satan that made him flinch, and left.
"That was…eventful." Yamcha chuckled.
With Z-Fighters…
Vegeta landed first, followed by Jason as they watched Spopovich and Yamu land in front of a small hut. As the others joined them, two figures exited from the hut and approached Spopovich and Yamu.
The first was a small wrinkled alien who Jason could tell was Babidi himself as the Supreme Kai had described his appearance to him. But the other one was much taller and a mystery to Jason, but something about him seemed familiar.
"Which one is this, Babidi?" Vegeta inquired.
"The short one," Shin answered as he noticed the taller man.
"No, it can't be!" Shin gasped.
"What is it? Is it bad?" Krillin questioned.
"That man next to Babidi. He is the Demon King Dabura!" Kibito revealed.
"Demon King!" Krillin gasped.
"You have got to be kidding me?" Jason muttered, finally realizing why Dabura seemed familiar.
"His energy is very similar to both Zandaka and Sekai. Now that I think about it, Sekai did say that Zandaka came to our universe initially to find their father." Jason thought.
"From what his son Sekai said, he and Zandaka were far stronger than him, so I don't think he'll be too much of a problem." Jason pointed out.
"How can you tell it wasn't a lie?" Kibito questioned.
"Because Sekai had the power to back the claim up, and from what I can sense from here, this Dabura isn't as strong as they are," Jason explained.
"Still to think that Babidi has the power to put the mighty Demon King under his control who knows who else he has gained control over," Shin stated.
"True, but at the same time, I'm getting pumped. This is going to be fun." Goku exclaimed.
"Don't get too ahead of yourself Goku." Piccolo sighed.
"I say we take them out now. Why the hell are we waiting?" Vegeta questioned as he stood up.
"Wait, we cannot act rash yet!" Shin said.
"For once, I actually agree with Vegeta. I mean, they're right there." Gohan replied.
"We cannot. We must wait until his back is turned to us or else risk him using his magic. If we're not careful, he can use his magic to end our lives." Shin warned.
"Tsk to attack someone from behind is disgraceful." Vegeta hissed as he crouched back down.
"Better to be safer than sorry," Jason replied. But suddenly, both Spopovich and Yamu were killed by Babidi as their bodies exploded.
"What the?" Gohan gasped.
"He just killed his own men!" Piccolo muttered.
"But why, what's the point in that?" Krillin questioned as Babidi looked down at the bloody remains of the two.
"Dabura, please welcome our guests inside," Babidi smirked as he picked up the energy storage device.
"With pleasure Master Babidi," Dabura replied.
"We must go now!" Shin exclaimed as everyone got ready to jump the two, but just as they got up, did Dabura come at them and spit at them.
"Gross, who does that before a fight begins?!" Jason questioned as he jumped out of the way of the spit. When the spit hit the ground, it turned the surrounding area into solid stone.
"Don't let his spit hit you or else…." Kibito began before Dabura grabbed onto his neck from behind.
"Greetings. We have been expecting you, Supreme Kai." Dabura greeted as he stared at Shin.
"And I assume you are the one who killed my two sons," Dabura smirked as he turned his attention towards Jason.
"If you wish to go any further, be warned it will be your grave." Dabura threatened as he killed Kibito and incinerated his body.
"KIBITO!" Shin cried as Jason held him back from attacking Dabura.
"Don't act rash yet, Shin," Jason advised as he fired a beam towards Dabura.
Dabura dodged the attack and spat once more. Everyone dodged, but sadly both Piccolo and Krillin were hit. As they turned to stone, Dabura flew over to the small hut he and Babidi had come from earlier before disappearing inside.
"Damn, how do we return them to normal?" Gohan questioned as he inspected Piccolo's statue.
"If we take out Dabura, they should return to normal. Just be careful. If their statues are destroyed, they cannot return." Shin warned.
"Guess they realized we were here." Jason sighed.
"Looks like we have to go in now," Goku replied as he, Jason, and Vegeta jumped down before Gohan and Shin followed.
"Wait, this is undoubtedly a trap. They want us to go in so they can steal our energy." Shin warned.
"That much is obvious, so I say we just blow the whole thing up now," Vegeta smirked as he charged up a ball of energy.
"No, please don't! Any massive shockwave may prematurely bring Majin Buu back. We must tread carefully." Shin implored.
"So I guess that means we're going in whatever this is," Jason replied as he looked at the hut.
"I believe this is Babidi's ship, so no doubt he will have the advantage over us," Shin revealed.
"Fine by me. If anything, it will be more fun." Goku laughed.
"It better be since we can't just make this quick," Vegeta murmured as they entered the hut to see a small hole.
"I don't like this, but…there's no other way." Shin sighed.
"Well geronimo," Jason said as he jumped down, and the others followed.
When they landed, they were in a plain circular room with nothing inside with a large closed hatch below them. Just as they landed, the hatch above them closed, trapping the five inside the spaceship.
"Well, looks like we'll need to use Instant Transmission to get out." Goku pointed out.
"Either way, our objective is down," Jason replied as he touched the floor and inspected the makings of the ship. It was tough unbelievably tough.
"It'll take a lot of effort to break the floor." Jason thought.
"But what now? There doesn't seem to be a switch or anything?" Gohan questioned as a loud ringing noise filled the room.
"Greetings Supreme Kai and entourage!" Babidi greeted via the ship's intercom.
"I. Am. No ones. Entourage!" Vegeta hissed.
"You are now going to take part in the glorious revival of Majin Buu!" Babidi declared.
"Feel free to try and stop me but be warned I have many servants ready to end your lives and take your energy." Babidi continued.
"As you use your power, you serve to revive Majin Buu, so please fight to your heart's content." Babidi laughed as the comms cut off.
"Well, that's not good," Gohan murmured.
"Yeah, if we power up too much, we'll unintentionally revive Buu." Jason agreed.
"This way, he keeps us from transforming because it will give him more energy." Vegeta scoffed.
"But how did he know about our transformations?" Goku inquired.
"He probably didn't know about our Super Saiyan forms. This is just a standard defense for anyone." Jason replied.
"Either way, our mission has become much harder. I advise that none of you transform or use too much energy so that we can avoid Buu's revival." Shin advised.
"Pfft. Pathetic." Vegeta muttered.
"I will not allow myself to be overwhelmed by some weakling," Vegeta murmured.
Below…
Babidi watched the five from his crystal ball. Though he was unable to hear what they were saying, he was able to watch their movements. Currently, he was with Dabura deciding who to send to fight them first.
"I advise that we test them, Master Babidi. We should send one of the weaker servants to fight." Dabura advised.
"Yes, very clever Dabura. But first, I should give Buu the energy those two buffoons took." Babidi replied.
"Let's hope that they were competent enough to get a good amount and not just lead people here," Babidi murmured as he approached the large egg-like ball behind him.
The ball was what sealed Majin Buu from the universe, and below it was a device that would feed it and Buu energy to awaken him. Currently, it was at zero since no energy had been given to Buu until Babidi inserted the collector.
When he gave it energy, he and Dabura were shocked when it jumped up to fifteen percent full of energy. They were baffled that one person managed to give them so much energy to give to Buu.
"Fantastic! If these fools have as much energy as the one those two took from the Buu may be revived sooner than I thought!" Babidi exclaimed.
"What do you say, Dabura?" Babidi inquired.
"I believe it will be a certainty my lord especially since the one who slew my sons is here. They were considerably strong, so if we can take his energy Buu will no doubt awaken." Dabura responded.
"Good, when the time comes, I'll leave the boy to you then." Babidi smiled.
"For now, send in Pui Pui." Babidi ordered.
Above…
"Is he just going to make us wait for nothing?!" Vegeta questioned as he became increasingly more impatient.
"Honestly, I also feel like just blowing up the hatch." Jason sighed.
"Wasting a lot of time," Jason added.
"Wait a sec, can't you and Dad just use Instant Transmission to teleport to Babidi?" Gohan questioned as Goku and Jason perked up.
"How did we not think of that?" Jason wondered.
"Well, it wouldn't be as fun, but considering the circumstances, we should try," Goku replied as he and Jason placed two fingers to their foreheads.
"It's…it's not working!" Jason growled.
"I can't do it either!" Goku shouted.
"Babidi must be using a spell to prevent the use of the technique. Kibito uses a similar move, so Babidi wanted to prevent any chance of our escape." Shin theorized.
"So no Instant Transmission. Is he just going to slowly suck out our energy?" Jason sighed.
"That's it. If we have to wait any longer, I'm going to incinerate this entire ship!" Vegeta shouted as a door materialized on one of the walls.
"Looks like they're finally making their move," Gohan stated as the door opened up and Pui Pui entered the room.
"Greetings. I am Pui Pui servant to Master Babidi." Pui Pui greeted.
"Yeah, are you going to entertain us or let us pass? Maybe make us some tea?" Vegeta laughed, having sensed Pui Pui's weak power.
"You won't be passing, for I shall kill you all here!" Pui Pui declared, causing the Saiyans to laugh intensely.
"Wha..what's so funny?!" Pui Pui questioned.
"Alright, who wants to fight him?" Jason asked, ignoring Pui Pui.
"Rock Paper Scissors?" Goku suggested as the others agreed.
To the surprise of Pui Pui and the Supreme Kai, the four Saiyans played Rock Paper Scissors to decide who would fight Pui Pui. In the end, Vegeta was the one who was 'chosen' to fight Pui Pui, and the Saiyan Prince was not too happy about it.
"Alright, let's get this over with." Vegeta spat as he approached Pui Pui.
"Don't underestimate me!" Pui Pui hissed as Vegeta looked disinterested.
Pui Pui shot towards Vegeta, who didn't even pay much attention to the drone as Vegeta kicked him into the ceiling before slamming him into the ground. Babidi and Dabura, who were watching the fight, were shocked at the ease Vegeta countered Pui Pui.
"H-How?" Pui Pui questioned as he coughed blood.
"I guess you shouldn't have underestimated me." Vegeta goaded.
"You…you…!" Pui Pui hissed as Babidi decided to push the test further. Suddenly the room changed, and it appeared that they were on another planet entirely.
"What the hell? Where are we?" Gohan questioned.
"Babidi moved us to another planet with his magic!" Shin gasped.
"Are you saying that we're no longer on Earth or in his ship?" Goku asked.
"No, there's the hatch we have to be still in the ship." Jason pointed out.
"This spell has transferred this room to this planet. So we're still on the ship. There is no need to worry." Shin explained.
"Too bad for you because I now have the advantage!" Pui Pui laughed as he picked himself up.
"And why is that?" Vegeta questioned.
"Master Babidi has transported us to my home planet, and the gravity here is ten times greater than Earth's!" Pui Pui declared triumphantly.
"Is…is that it?" Jason inquired.
"Uh. Yes." Pui Pui answered, confused at the question.
"Ha!" Vegeta laughed.
"I train under five hundred times the gravity of Earth nearly every day," Vegeta smirked.
"W-What?" Pui Pui questioned as he stammered in fear as Vegeta appeared in front of him and blasted him into nothing.
"Pathetic." Vegeta scoffed.
"At least you held back." Jason sighed.
Below…
"Well, it seems that they are plenty strong. We can't afford using any other weaklings." Babidi commented.
"I shall prepare for my fight, master. I'll leave the judgment to you." Dabura stated as he left to meditate.
"Well, I may just have the gluttons eat their fill," Babidi smirked.
Above…
After Pui Pui's defeat, the hatch to the next level finally opened up, allowing everyone to hop down to the next level. Once more, the room was plain, with the only exits being the hatch above, which closed up, and the one below that was still closed.
"Let's hope they don't make us wait again," Vegeta murmured.
Just as he said, that did another door materialize, and two glowing eyes pierced the darkness behind it. Soon a large lizard-like creature stepped out of the door and entered the room with large drips of drool coming out of its mouth.
"Not it," Jason called, disgusted at the creature.
"I'll take him," Goku smirked as he walked up to the creature. But just as he walked up did the entire room turn pitch black as they were transported to another planet once more.
"Is he going to pull a stunt like this every time?" Vegeta questioned, annoyed.
"Does he not realize we can sense energy?" Gohan wondered.
"Babidi must still be testing the waters. But make no mistake, this opponent will be stronger." Shin answered.
"Don't worry, I've got this!" Goku exclaimed as fighting noises could be heard. To make sure that his energy couldn't be taken, Goku made sure not to use too much power.
"Haaa!" Goku shouted as he plunged his fist through the monster.
"Well, he's taken care of," Goku smirked, much to Babidi's displeasure. The room returned to normal, but unlike before, the hatch did not open up as the monster's body disappeared.
"What's the deal? Why hasn't the next room opened up?" Vegeta questioned.
"Guess we need to fight someone else," Jason suggested.
"I hope the next fighter is stronger than that guy." Goku hoped.
"If they are, that would be a bad thing Dad. We can't use too much energy." Gohan reminded.
"Oh right." Goku laughed as the intercom sprung to life.
"You managed to get one, but how will you manage more of them!" Babidi shouted as multiple doors materialized.
"Oh boy," Jason murmured as several of those creatures emerged.
"Alright, let's get rid of them." Jason sighed.
But just as they were going to attack, each monster opened their jaws, and they began to suck everyone in. The massive amount of force that the monsters were using to drag them in forced the Saiyans and even the Supreme Kai to power up and push back.
Lots of their energy that they were forced to use was absorbed to give to Buu. But to their surprise, lots were eaten by the creatures. Thining quickly, Jason fired a beam right down one of their throats.
However, it was unfazed as it continued to suck in. It seemed as if it didn't need to stop to take a breath. While Jason and the others would just go in and attack, the large jaws of the creatures could swallow them whole, and if they can eat energy, who knew what would happen to them.
"These disgusting creatures are annoying." Vegeta hissed.
"They can eat our energy. I guess they have strength in numbers." Gohan theorized.
"I wonder how much energy they absorb compared to the energy given to Buu." Shin wondered.
But before he could think it further, he began to slip towards the creatures. Thankfully Jason grabbed hold of him and kept him from falling into the jaws of the monsters. Eventually, Goku came up with a plan after hearing the Supreme Kai's train of thought as he turned into a Super Saiyan.
"Goku, what are you doing?!" Jason questioned.
"I've got a plan, don't worry," Goku assured as he focused his energy and threw it towards the mouths of the monsters keeping most of it from being taken for Buu.
The energy began to be eaten by each creature as they ate their fill, but soon they began to overeat. They tried to stop, but Goku forced his energy down their throats as their bodies grew and grew until they burst, dying in an instant as Goku powered down to keep his energy.
"I see you focused your energy to be eaten by them to keep it from being given to Buu," Gohan noted as he realized his father's plan.
"It was risky, but it paid off." Gohan pointed out.
"Yes, I would ask that you please not risk that again unless necessary," Shin advised.
"Do you have and Senzu's Goku? You should eat one to regain your energy." Jason suggested.
"I have one, but it's fine. I got plenty of more in the tank." Goku revealed being no worse for wear after using a massive amount of energy.
"I guess training in Other World was really beneficial for you Goku," Jason smirked.
Soon the hatch opened up, giving them access to the next level of the ship. As everyone jumped down to the next level, Vegeta stood there thinking over what had just occurred. The act shook him greatly.
"Kakarot just exerted massive amounts of energy, more so than I ever saw him use. If it was Gohan or Arrow, they would probably have to eat a Senzu." Vegeta thought.
"How the hell did he achieve it? Don't tell me that his training was more fruitful than mine? I've trained for years with Arrow and Gohan, both still far stronger than I." Vegeta continued.
"I've nearly come to terms with that, hoping that when Kakarot came back today that I will have finally surpassed him. I could live with that to finally surpass the one who had first brought me shame." Vegeta went on as he clenched his fist.
"But damn you Kakarot you've still gotten stronger, haven't you?" Vegeta wondered as he jumped down.
Elsewhere…
Trunks and Goten flew away from the World Martial Arts arena, having been exposed from their disguise and disqualified. Both were not happy as they were looking forward to fighting the adults though they ultimately knew they couldn't beat 18.
"Our moms are definitely not going to be happy with us when we get back." Goten pointed out.
"Yeah, this sucks!" Trunks complained as the two spotted a figure flying towards them.
"Who's that?" Goten wondered as they stopped, and Videl got closer.
"Isn't that your brother's girlfriend?" Trunks asked.
"Yeah. Though he says, she's not his girlfriend." Goten answered as Videl stopped in front of them.
"What are you guys doing here?" Videl inquired.
"We got caught impersonating Might Mask and flew off to avoid both our mom's wrath," Goten answered.
"Oh. I see." Videl sighed.
"Where did everyone else go? Weren't you with them?" Trunks asked.
"Yeah, apparently there's this thing called Majin Buu, an evil wizard Babidi is trying to revive, so they're trying to stop that," Videl explained.
"AN EVIL WIZARD!?" Goten gasped.
"COOL!" Trunks exclaimed.
"Where is it?" The two asked.
"Uh…over there," Videl answered, pointing behind her.
"Awesome, let's go see Goten!" Trunks suggested.
"Yeah!" Goten agreed as they flew off at high speeds past Videl.
"They're pretty fast." Videl sighed, seeing how she was still a novice flying compared to the two children.
Babidi's Ship Lower Level…
"I am ready Master Babidi," Dabura reported as he returned to Babidi's side.
"Excellent, your time to our guests has arrived," Babidi smirked.
"But sir, I cannot face all of them at once." Dabura pointed out.
"Oh, but you can." Babidi chuckled.
"You just need more of yourself," Babidi revealed, confusing Dabura.
Babidi's Ship Upper Level…
"So, what do you think Babidi has for us next?" Jason asked.
"I think he knows what we can do now. He will definitely send someone far stronger than the last." Shin answered as Vegeta finally joined them.
Just as the Saiyan Prince hit the ground, did the scenery change once more to a red rocky planet with pools of water all around. Jason looked around, waiting for the next opponent to arrive and arrive one did as another door materialize.
"Hello again," Dabura smirked as he walked out from the door which disappeared behind him.
"Demon King Dabura," Shin muttered.
"I shall be your opponent this time around. You won't have an easy time with me." Dabura stated.
"Alright, who wants him?" Goku asked as Jason walked up.
"I'll take him. It'll feel almost poetic for me to take him out after killing his sons." Jason stated.
"Good, but I'll be taking you all on," Dabura stated as his image became blurry. Soon Dabura split into four separate instances of himself.
"What the hell?!" Jason gasped.
"Is that the multiform technique?" Goku wondered.
"No, it couldn't be their power is no different and all equal." Goku realized.
"This must be more of Babidi's magic." Gohan pointed out.
"Fine, at least it will be more satisfying than fighting weaklings," Vegeta replied.
"Shin," Jason called, getting the Supreme Kai's attention.
"This battle is going to be rough, so if you can try to get through the hatch and get to Babidi," Jason advised.
"We're most likely going to have to transform here, so Buu's going to get a lot of energy. So you need to stop Babidi." Jason added.
"Yes, good idea. Alone I should be able to take on Babidi, especially if I catch him by surprise." Shin agreed as he flew off.
The four Saiyans then prepared themselves as Dabura charged at them. His power was greater than Jason expected, and unfortunately, he was forced to use Super Saiyan 2. In fact, the others were two as they fought off the Dabura clones.
Babidi was pleased by it as the energy the Saiyans exerted was slowly being absorbed and given to Majin Buu. Soon it reached twenty-five percent capacity. Jason ducked under a punch from Dabura of which he proceeded to grab onto his arm with his tail.
He then slammed his fist into Dabura's chin, sending the demon upwards. Even though there was supposed to be a ceiling due to Babidi's magic changing the scenery, it expanded the room. The Saiyans and Dabura's were evenly matched.
Jason could take them out easily if he used Super Saiyan Primal, but every time he entered the form, he released massive amounts of energy. All that energy would be used to revive Buu, and Jason couldn't let that happen.
It was already risky enough being in Super Saiyan 2, but they had no choice but to use said form. Just then, Dabura spat at Jason as the man spun out of the way and planted his elbow into Dabura's cheek.
Elsewhere Vegeta was fighting his Dabura as he tossed him through several rock pillars and into the water. Vegeta fired off a large beam trying to avoid large attacks, which annoyed the Saiyan Prince greatly. But Dabura was more interested in something else entirely.
"I can see it inside him dark feelings and evil. He has potential." Dabura noted as he entered Vegeta's mind and viewed his past actions.
He couldn't see much without alerting Vegeta, but he was able to see that Vegeta was not pure good. Vegeta was once a man of pure evil who had killed countless innocent people, and this could be used. But most of all, he knew Master Babidi could latch onto Vegeta's desire to defeat Goku.
"Just die already!" Vegeta demanded as he attacked Dabura.
"Master Babidi can bring out this evil," Dabura smirked.
Below…
"Lord Babidi," Dabura called via telepathy.
"What is it Dabura? Are you having trouble?" Babidi inquired as he watched Buu's meter go up as it was now at forty-five percent full.
"No, but I've found potential in one of these fighters for you to control," Dabura answered.
"Truly?" Babidi asked as he walked over to his crystal ball and watched the fight. He focused on Vegeta, who was wailing without mercy on one of the Dabura's.
"Yes, he has evil within him and the desire to defeat one of his friends," Dabura responded.
"Yes, I see. He does have a considerable amount of evil within him." Babidi smirked, but before he could think too much about what to do with Vegeta, he noticed something else.
"It seems like the Supreme Kai is attempted to sneak in," Babidi stated as he watched the Supreme Kai, who was slowly working on the hatch.
"We can't have that, can we?" Babidi smirked.
"Dabura stop the Supreme Kai. I shall turn this fighter into one of us." Babidi ordered.
"As you wish," Dabura replied.
Above…
Vegeta chased down his Dabura, but the demon managed to elude him before shooting off towards the Supreme Kai. This angered the Saiyan Prince, who gave chase, but as he did, he felt a sharp pain in his head, causing him to stop.
"Wha…what is this?" Vegeta questioned as he clutched his head and returned to base form.
"Don't fight it Vegeta." Babidi insisted.
"Let my power flow through you and become my servant! Let your evil rise once more!" Babidi ordered.
"You dare!" Vegeta seethed as the others noticed him.
"Vegeta, what's wrong?!" Goku asked as he tossed his Dabura to the ground.
"Give in Vegeta! Accept the power and fight against your friends and defeat the one you wish to most!" Babidi demanded.
"Power?" Vegeta questioned as he remembered Spopovich's fight. The man was able to take any beating no problem.
"Kakarot was able to become stronger with his training, and I was left behind! I swore that I would surpass him and today is the only day I can prove it!" Vegeta thought.
"I doubt I'll be going to the same place as he when I die, so I must prove myself here and now!" Vegeta determined as he let out a loud roar as his energy spiked.
"Vegeta don't!" Jason shouted, but before he could help, he sensed the Supreme Kai in danger.
However, Jason was unable to go and help him, as Dabura held him off, kicking him into Gohan, who was fighting his own Dabura. The two flew up, causing both Dabura's to knock into one another before Jason and Gohan fired a beam, pushing both into the ground.
"Gohan, I keep these two occupied. You need to go help the Supreme Kai." Jason insisted.
"Are you sure even in Super Saiyan 2, he's hard to keep up with?" Gohan asked.
"I'll manage, and if I have to, I'll use a quick burst of Super Saiyan Primal," Jason responded.
"I understand." Gohan nodded as he turned to his father.
"Dad, see if you can get through to Vegeta!" Gohan requested as he flew off to help the Supreme Kai.
"Right!" Goku replied as he kicked Dabura in the chin and flew over to Vegeta.
"Vegeta, what's wrong?!" Goku questioned as he reached him.
Vegeta's energy was out of control and grew larger than it was past its peak. When he finally stopped, Vegeta was in Super Saiyan 2 with a large M on his forehead. Goku was shocked at the sight but didn't fully understand what was happening.
"What happened to you Vegeta?" Goku questioned as Jason looked at Vegeta.
"What? But how could…." Jason began as he realized that Vegeta had succumbed to Babidi's control. He was stopped from acting as the two Daburas attacked him.
This left Goku to deal with Vegeta, who smirked as his power peaked. Goku could only stare at him as he contemplated what to do next. All he knew though, however, is that he had to stop Vegeta from releasing so much energy.
With Gohan…
Meanwhile, Gohan managed to catch up to where the Supreme Kai was as the Kai was avoiding attacks from Dabura. The Supreme Kai wasn't strong enough to fight against Dabura, so he was forced onto the defensive.
Gohan slammed his fist into the back of Dabura's head, sending Dabura away from the Supreme Kai. The Half Saiyan then used a kick Kamehameha to push Dabura further away so that he and the Supreme Kai can make a plan.
"Are you alright, Supreme Kai?" Gohan asked.
"Yes, thank you. I am not strong enough to fight Dabura head-on. Though we have bigger problems." Shin stated as he got to his feet.
"I felt it from here, and it seems like your friend Vegeta has succumbed to Babidi's magic," Shin explained.
"Is that what was happening to him?" Gohan questioned.
"Now I wish I tried to help him before I came here," Gohan muttered.
"It's not your fault Babidi's magic is hard to counter, and even if you tried, one of the Dabura's would have stopped you." Shin consoled.
"But now the situation has gotten worse as we are outnumbered," Shin murmured.
"We must break open the hatch now and stop Babidi from collecting any more energy for Majin Buu!" Shin declared.
World Martial Arts Arena…
Bulma and Chi-Chi walked around the fairgrounds along with Yamcha, Master Roshi, Marron, and 18, looking for the fleeing Half Saiyans. During their search, Videl finally returned, landing nearby.
"Videl, you wouldn't have seen Goten or Trunks have you?" Chi-Chi inquired.
"Yeah, I passed them by on the way back," Videl answered.
"Uh, those two!" Bulma sighed.
"Where are the others?" Bulma asked.
"Apparently, they're going to stop some evil wizard who's trying to revive a monster named Majin Buu," Videl explained.
"Majin Buu!" Yamcha gasped, having remembered the name Jason had stated Sekai warned him about.
"Is that bad?" Bulma questioned.
"Jason said that Sekai was scared of a Majin Buu, and that demon was strong enough!" Yamcha panicked.
"I wouldn't be scared. I mean, there are four Saiyans over there. They should be able to handle some monster." Chi-Chi replied.
"And they've been training for years since the battle with that demon." Chi-Chi pointed out.
"Plus, it isn't awake anyway." Videl reminded. Yamcha wasn't convinced as he felt useless and didn't want to do nothing to help in case things go bad.
"You want to help, don't you?" Roshi asked, surprising Yamcha.
"Yeah, but I'm retired now." Yamcha pointed out with a sigh.
"I want to help, but I don't know if I would be any," Yamcha replied.
"Nonsense, any kind of support can help in a bad situation," Roshi stated.
"Even though you're not as strong as they are, you can always offer some help. Don't let others decide your worth. Let yourself decide." Roshi added.
"Thanks, Master Roshi." Yamcha thanked.
"I'm going to go and help!" Yamcha declared.
"That's the spirit! I'm coming with you!" Roshi announced.
"Wait, you're both going?" Bulma questioned.
"Yep, I have an idea of how to help, but we need to stop by my house Yamcha," Roshi answered.
With Vegeta and Goku…
"Vegeta," Goku called, getting Majin Vegeta's attention as the two stared one another down.
"What did you do?" Goku questioned.
"I know you're strong enough and have the will to resist being controlled, so why?" Goku asked as Vegeta smirked.
"Because it was my only chance. I felt it when you forced your energy into those monsters. You've grown far stronger in these seven years than I." Vegeta began.
"No matter how long and hard I train and no matter how far I went, you always keep a few steps ahead of me. Even now." Vegeta continued.
"Today may be my final chance to finally surpass you to finally defeat you after all these years! I could feel my power growing when Babidi tried to take me, so I let it happen." Vegeta went on.
"So face me Kakarot. No more distractions!" Vegeta demanded his mind, now clouded by his burning desire to defeat Goku, forgetting about Buu.
"Damnit Vegeta you're letting Babidi distract you! We can't fight now, or else Buu might awaken!" Goku reminded.
"I don't care. I have to have this!" Vegeta shouted.
"Enough Vegeta!" Babidi demanded.
"I order you to help Dabura force your other friend to use his full power now!" Babidi ordered.
"No!" Vegeta refused.
"Excuse me!?" Babidi questioned.
"My fight is with Kakarot piss off!" Vegeta shouted.
"I have put everything on the line for this to finally defeat Kakarot, so don't tell me what to do!" Vegeta declared as Goku looked at Vegeta with better understanding.
"I see Vegeta. You're willing to go far to fight me, so I'll accept your desire." Goku replied as he took a fighting stance.
"Let's go!" Goku exclaimed as Jason arrived after slamming both Dabura's in the ground.
"Don't Goku. You're just giving Babidi what he wants!" Jason shouted.
"Please don't let Buu be revived!" Jason implored.
"Quiet Arrow, you're not part of this!" Vegeta replied.
"Jason, just stay out of this." Goku requested as he looked directly into Jason's eyes. Jason was surprised and could feel Goku's determination.
"Let me and Vegeta do this. I understand his feelings, so I'll knock him to his senses." Goku added.
"Okay. I don't like it, but I'll allow it." Jason sighed as he turned around.
"In that case, I'll have to focus on Dabura," Jason stated as he looked towards where he sensed Gohan and the Supreme Kai's energy.
From just sensing their energy, he could tell what they were doing. He could tell they were trying to get to Babidi, but one of the Dabura's was in their way. So Jason took the Dabura's far from Goku and Vegeta by throwing of them towards where Gohan and the Supreme Kai were.
"You're only opponent shall be me." Jason declared as he gave chase. Soon they ended up with Gohan and the Supreme Kai meeting all four Daburas at once.
"Jason!" Gohan gasped.
"Sorry I had to take the fight here and tell you to go all out," Jason stated.
"What? What do you mean?" Gohan questioned.
"Blow the hatch open and take out Babidi. We can't stop them from taking our energy now, so we need to act fast." Jason answered.
"Where's Dad and Vegeta?" Gohan asked.
"They're fighting. Vegeta let himself fall under Babidi's spell to fight Goku." Jason began.
"I would have stopped them, but I knew it would just waste more energy, and I knew they wouldn't stop even if I went Primal. So go, both of you. Stop Buu from awakening." Jason finished.
"This is all falling apart," Shin murmured.
"I'm sorry Shin, but there's still time to stop Babidi." Jason apologized.
"I see. Let us go Gohan." Shin requested as Gohan nodded before charging up powerful Kamehameha to break open the hatch allow both he and the Supreme Kai to jump down.
"Well then, can you take on all four of us before we go down to defend Master Babidi?" Dabura questioned.
"I'm going to have to," Jason responded as he spat onto the ground.
"So all four of you come at me maybe then you can give me as good of a challenge as your kids," Jason smirked.
Below…
Babidi prepared himself as the dust from the hatch above him settled, revealing nothing but emptiness. The wizard chuckled, knowing that the Supreme Kai wasn't going to risk a frontal attack on him.
"So how are we going to attack?" Gohan asked in a low whisper, still floating above the broken hatch.
"We must be careful. If Babidi gets even a second to cast a spell, we can be sent somewhere that may kill us instantly." Shin began.
"I need you to rush in and cover his mouth and restrain him so that he cannot cast a spell and I can stop Buu's absorption of energy," Shin instructed.
"Got it," Gohan replied.
"3." Shin began as the two readied themselves.
"2." Shin continued.
"1." Shin went on, but before he could finish, they appeared on the surface once more as Babidi stood in front of them, smirking.
"Nowhere to hide now." Babidi laughed as he looked over at Buu's egg.
"I thought we should have a proper setting for Buu's awakening," Babidi smirked as he looked at the dial, which was at seventy-two percent.
"No it's almost done!" Shin gasped.
"Yes, let us welcome Buu's revival!" Babidi cackled as Gohan and Shin stared him down.
Danger rises as Buu's revival nears! Can Gohan and Shin stop his revival? Will Jason be able to defeat the Dabura's? And how will Goku and Vegeta settle their fight? This and more Next Time!
Author's Note:
Yes finally got this chapter done! Took me a while, but I finally hit a groove with it, and I'm really happy with how it came out. I managed to get things just as I wanted, especially with keeping Vegeta turning into Majin Vegeta.
I knew that with how I wrote the last arc and how he had been training with Jason and Gohan that he might not turn, but I still wanted it to happen. Plus, I still think he had a chip on his shoulder against Goku and would still be willing to do anything to beat him.
Now to clear up any confusion that may or may not who knows be had, I did change how Babidi was taking the fighter's energy here. I made it so that any energy they used would be taken after used, so the stronger everyone powered up, the faster Buu would be revived.
I made it like this specifically for keeping Jason from Going SSJ4, and it made things a little more interesting, especially with the magic Daburas, which will play a bigger role next chapter. I would have shown a bigger fight with him, but I felt like it would end up clunky.
So yeah, as you could tell, Gohan's initial energy didn't give too much to Buu as this Buu is far stronger than the one in canon. But the energy of four SSJ2's definitely gave him a large amount which comes to a head next chapter.
One of my favorite changes though this chapter was the bit with Yamcha and Master Roshi, and yes, they will be important. Their involvement will be crucial to how I will be writing the Buu arc henceforward though you're going to have to wait to find out.

Also saw your other review talking about Babidi being a clone and all, which yes, I know I did say that but either way, I didn't change it because it really doesn't change much story-wise, so I kept it in.
Reader (Guest) – I will neither confirm nor deny the possibility of Jason fusing this arc, so I'll leave it to your imagination though fusion will still play a large role in this arc.
