Chapter 59: Super Saiyan God?

Last Time our heroes finally put an end to the evil Majin Buu with a large Spirit Bomb-empowered Ki blast ending their long-fought battle! With peace restored to the universe, each of our heroes returned home, with some returning from the very dead!

However, unbeknownst to everyone, their victory was witnessed by the God of Destruction, Beerus, who took an interest in the four Saiyans. What does this bode for our heroes?

Find out Now!

Planet Champagne…

Prince Rosé knelt on the ground, shaking with terror as he watched a cat-like humanoid sit above him on his father's throne, using his father, the king, as a footrest as he ate several pallets of food the servants presented to him.

This creature called himself Beerus and claimed to be a God of Destruction who had come to judge their planet. But despite that, all he did was taste and insult their food while abusing his father and treating him like dirt.

Rosé could still remember when Beerus arrived at the palace. He had effortlessly killed all the soldiers and guards they threw at him like they were bugs. Even his older brothers, who were amongst the strongest on the planet, were killed by Beerus with a single flick of a finger.

As for himself, well, Rosé wasn't a fighter. In fact, he could barely lift his own weight. He prided himself on his diplomacy and secrecy and hoped that he could get Beerus to leave without killing anyone else.

But now, after hours of watching this God of Destruction eat the palace's food in disappointment, Rosé knew how foolish his plan was. This god had a bad temperament. One where the slightest infraction ended in death.

Not a few minutes prior did he kill a servant for spilling wine on him. Rosé now knew that unless they impressed him with some dish, this god would kill them all. However, he had already tasted the planet's greatest dishes prepared by the best chefs.

"There's only one hope. I just hope they prepare it in time." Rosé thought as he glanced towards the kitchen.

"He'll pay for all havoc he's wrought." Rosé thought as he watched Beerus toss a bone away.

"Grrrhhh…Say, Whis, what do you think?" Beerus questioned as he used his claw to pick his teeth before looking at the blue-skinned man beside him.

"It's very bland," Whis noted, rejecting the next plate of food.

"Yes, it really was, and the meat was too greasy. Tell me, prince, whatever your name is, is this all your planet has to offer?" Beerus asked, glaring at the kneeling monarch.

"NO! No, Lord Beerus, sir. There's…still dessert! You can't make your decision without dessert." Rosé insisted as Beerus scratched his chin.

"Very well. I'm craving something sweet right now." Beerus replied as he grabbed onto a drink.

"Go fetch it for me now," Beerus ordered as Rosé nodded and ran off into the kitchen.

"What a disappointment. I was hoping for a good meal after waking up from a long sleep." Beerus sighed as Whis shrugged.

"Well, you did choose this planet to go to, my lord." Whis reminded, making Beerus grunt with frustration.

"Then next time, remind me to eat something from a planet I like when I wake up." Beerus insisted as he yawned.

"Say Whis…I feel like I'm forgetting something." Beerus commented as he scratched one of his ears.

"Oh, and what would that be, my Lord?" Whis inquired, making Beerus scoff.

"If I knew, I wouldn't have forgotten it, Whis," Beerus muttered, stifling a yawn.

"Hmm…" Whis hummed as he tapped his chin before coming to a realization.

"I believe you wanted me to remind you to visit the Supreme Kai after his servant had me wake you four years ago." Whis pointed out as Beerus nodded before quickly shaking his head.

"No, it wasn't that," Beerus replied as he scratched his head.

"It was…a dream. Yes, I believe I had a very incredible dream during my sleep." Beerus smirked, piquing Whis's interest.

"A dream, you say? That's very rare for you, Lord Beerus." Whis commented, surprised at Beerus's words.

"Indeed, and it was a very pleasant one at that. But I can't recall the details." Beerus replied as he tapped his fingers against the throne's armrest.

"From the pieces I recall, it was…about a strong warrior. One that could match me in strength." Beerus related as Whis hummed.

"A warrior that can match you in strength? Unless you speak of another God of Destruction, I find that quite preposterous." Whis laughed, making Beerus grunt.

"Well, the dream seemed to imply it. Perhaps it meant something." Beerus noted as he looked off toward the kitchen.

"What's taking that guy so long?" Beerus muttered as he looked down at the old king, who was shaking under Beerus's feet.

"Hey, you. How much time has passed since your kid went to get me my dessert?" Beerus inquired as the king avoided making eye contact with the god.

"I-I-I don't know, sir…but I'm sure he won't be much longer." The King answered as he looked toward the kitchen where his son waited.

"Is it ready?" Rosé questioned as his cooks pulled out a large cake.

"Yes, and we made sure to bake plenty of poison into it just like you requested. It's enough to kill even the largest of animals." The Chef answered, making Rosé smile.

"Good. If that thing is a God of Destruction, then this has to be enough to kill it! Our planet will live to see another day!" Rosé exclaimed as the cooks all looked hopeful.

"Once this is over, spend the rest of the day with your families. You've all earned it!" Rosé insisted as he grabbed onto the cart the cake stand and pushed it out.

"About time. I've been getting impatient." Beerus stated as he stood up and kicked the king down toward his son.

"Oh my, now that does look very scrumptious." Whis smiled as he and Beerus walked up to the cake, unconcerned with the prince and king.

"Yes. This isn't so bad. It might actually make this trip worthwhile." Beerus agreed as he inspected the cake.

"Father, are you okay?" Rosé inquired as he picked up the king.

"Yes. But I'm afraid that if Beerus doesn't like the cake, then…our world will be doomed." The King lamented as Rosé shook his head.

"No, Father. Everything will be fine. I made sure to have the cooks put something 'special' in the cake." Rosé smiled, shocking his father.

"What have you done, boy?" The King questioned as Beerus took a few whiffs of the cake, causing him to frown.

"Yes, boy. What did you do?" Beerus inquired, shocking Rosé, who helped his father to his feet.

"I-I…I had our chefs use the sweetest of our planet's ingredients as a little surprise for the cake. I have no doubt you'll love it!" Rosé lied, hoping that Beerus didn't figure anything out.

"Is that so?" Beerus asked as he hardened his gaze on Rosé.

"Then how about you take the first bite." Beerus insisted, giving Rosé a knowing smirk.

"I uh…that's not necessary, Lord Beerus! I would hate to take any of your cake from you!" Rosé declined as Beerus's smile dropped.

"Well then, if you won't take a bite, then neither will I. In fact, I might as well leave and blow this entire planet to smithereens." Beerus replied as he turned to leave, making Rosé's heart drop.

As Rosé witnessed this, he grit his teeth, angry that his plan wasn't working, as he moved to grab his concealed knife's handle. He wanted to just rush in and jab the knife into Beerus's neck before remembering what happened to his older siblings.

"Please, Lord Beerus, I beg you, at least give it a try!" Rosé insisted, hoping his pleads would change the god's mind.

"Sorry, but I don't eat poison." Beerus rebuked, not sparing Rosé a single glance as he raised a finger over his shoulder.

"If you wanted to try to bake a cake full of poison to kill me, you should have done something about the smell," Beerus stated as a small ball of swirling purple ki formed on his fingertip.

"Not that it would have done a thing to me in the first place," Beerus muttered as he fired the ball into Rosé's chest.

When the ball hit Rosé, the prince released a grueling wail as his body began disintegrating, leaving nothing, not even his clothes, behind. The king was left horrified as he crawled over to where his son once was, desperately looking for any sign of him.

"Let's go, Whis. I'm sick of this planet." Beerus insisted as Whis nodded.

"As you wish, my lord," Whis replied as he tapped his staff on the ground, and the two disappeared.

"N-N-No…it can't be…" The King stammered as tears streamed down his face.

Space…

Above Planet Champagne…

Beerus and Whis reappeared far above the planet they just stood on, looking down at it as the God of Destruction created another but far larger purple sphere over his head. As soon as he was done creating it, he hurled it down on the planet, causing it to explode in a brilliant fury.

"It's such a shame. Now I really want some cake." Beerus sighed as he rubbed his neck.

"You could have just eaten the cake they made, my lord. It's not like the poison would have hurt you." Whis pointed out, making Beerus spit in disgust.

"Are you mad? It would have completely ruined the cake's taste!" Beerus shouted before crossing his arms.

"Yes, well, I'm sure we can find a place to get you something, my lord. But before you forget again, would you like to visit the Supreme Kai now?" Whis inquired as Beerus shook his head.

"No, let's do it later. I need to eat something satisfying first." Beerus insisted as he stared into the exploding planet before a visage of a figure covered in brilliant red aura came to mind.

"Say Whis…why did they want me awake again?" Beerus inquired, having forgotten in his long sleep.

"Majin Buu had been revived my lord, and they wanted you to destroy him before he wiped out the universe." Whis reminded as he tapped his chin.

"If I recall, the situation had resolved itself as a group of four Saiyans had killed Buu," Whis added, making Beerus smirk.

"Saiyans, you say…." Beerus murmured as he continued as he started deeper into the explosion.

"That's it!" Beerus laughed as the image in his mind became clearer.

"What's it?" Whis inquired, turning toward Beerus.

"The warrior from my dream!" Beerus snickered with the image clear in his mind.

"It was a Super Saiyan God." Beerus declared as the explosion died out.

Remnant…

Kai's Mountain…

5:48 am…

"Alright, Maggot Juniors, that's it for now." Kai insisted as Scarlet and Milo fell to the ground, exhausted.

The two were currently doing a secret training regimen with Kai to get a head start on building their muscles and becoming better at using Ki. Well, that was Scarlet's purpose for being there anyway, as her mother didn't want her training beyond the basics yet.

Her mom didn't want Scarlet hurting herself as she knew from watching Jason train how taxing it can be. But of course, that wouldn't stop the ambitious Half Saiyan, who decided to sneak out early in the morning and train on Kai's mountain to build her strength.

She'd still keep it safe just so her mother wouldn't get too mad if she found out. As for Milo, he went along with her because he wanted to make sure she didn't push herself too far in her excitement. Plus, he wanted to see where his father trained and try it for himself without his mother taking charge.

"How did our dads do this?" Milo questioned, exhausted from Kai's training regimen.

"They were older than you two when they started," Kai stated as he placed two jugs of water on the ground for the two.

"That just means we're stronger than our dads when we were their age!" Scarlet smiled as she chugged the water.

"Thanks for helping us train Mr. Kai!" Scarlet thanked as Kai nodded.

"No, thank you for getting me those plants I needed." Kai thanked as Milo sat up.

"What were those plants anyway?" Milo inquired as Kai just stared at him before his mouth slowly creaked into a disturbing smile.

"Don't worry about it," Kai stated as he slowly walked away, not breaking eye contact until he was behind a wall.

"Why is he so creepy?" Milo wondered as he and Scarlet went to go grab their things.

"Don't break rule seven hundred eighty!" Kai shouted, making Milo shudder.

"I don't think he's creepy; I just think he's…what's the word…. eccentric," Scarlet replied as she tapped on her chin.

"Am I using that, right?" Scarlet inquired, not knowing if she had used the word right.

"Sounds right," Milo replied as he grabbed his backpack.

"I'm going to head back now before my parents wake up. I suggest you do too. Because I don't want our moms finding out." Milo insisted as he slung the backpack over his shoulder.

"I won't, I promise," Scarlet promised as Milo sighed.

"You say that, but didn't you nearly get caught last time for flying too long?" Milo reminded, making Scarlet sweatdrop.

"I was just really happy to finally be able to fly on my own without my Dad helping," Scarlet pouted, poking her fingers together.

"So don't worry, there's no need to worry!" Scarlet smiled, giving Milo a thumbs up.

"Still, as the older one, I feel responsible for keeping you in check," Milo replied smugly as he rubbed his nose.

"Hey! You're only a week older than me! That's not fair!" Scarlet complained as Milo sighed.

"Fine, then, as the taller one, I ask that you just please don't get caught." Milo sighed as he gestured at the height difference between the two.

Milo was notably taller than Scarlet as, unlike the Half Saiyan, he had grown considerably over the past few years. He often liked to tease the girl about it, as Scarlet often complained that she hadn't grown that much.

Evidently, according to her father and Vegeta, it was because of her Saiyan cells which age far slower compared to others, and she would have a large growth spurt eventually. But Scarlet didn't want to wait. Plus, she was nervous that the growth spurt would never come. After all, her mother was fairly short herself.

"Great, now it's the tall card," Scarlet muttered as she crossed her arms.

"Fine, I'll stop…for now," Milo replied, whispering that last part as Scarlet grabbed her bag with her tail.

"Well, we should get going," Scarlet murmured as she and Milo slowly flew up.

"See you at school!" Scarlet shouted as she watched Milo shoot off toward Patch before she flew toward her home.

As she flew, Scarlet spun around and did a few aerobatic tricks just to get the feeling of the air on her face. She has loved flying ever since she was younger and flying never got old. Of course, she didn't spend too much time playing around as she didn't want to break her promise.

After all, her father was an early riser. So if she didn't want to get caught, she needed to get home fast. Thankfully Scarlet could fly fast thanks to her practices with her father and secret training, so it didn't take her long before she reached Saiyatown.

Touching down outside her home Scarlet slowly opened her window and crawled in just in time to hear footsteps approaching. Tossing her backpack down, Scarlet jumped into bed and covered herself with her sheets just as her father opened her bedroom door.

Scarlet pretended to sleep, happy to make it just in time, until she came to a sudden realization. She never closed the window. Her heart began to beat fast as she sensed her father fly into her room and approach her until the sound of her window closing reached her ears.

"He's just closing my window." Scarlet thought, letting out a small sigh of relief as her father silently closed her door.

Once her father was a decent ways off from her room, Scarlet got up and changed out of her gi and into her pajamas. Climbing back into bed, Scarlet wanted to get some rest before she had to wake up for school.

If she were to fall asleep during class, she'd not only get in trouble at school, but her teacher would tell her parents, who'd question what she was doing. After an hour of rest, Scarlet got up to "officially" start her day.

"Good morning." Scarlet greeted as she exited her room and saw her father in the kitchen.

"Good morning, sleepy head. I thought I was going to have to pull you out of bed with how hard you were sleeping." Jason replied, causing Scarlet to pout.

"I'm nine years old now. I don't need you to wake me up anymore, Dad!" Scarlet complained, making Jason laugh.

"You still need me to close your window?" Jason smirked as he placed several large stacks of pancakes on the table.

"Oh, uh…did I do that?" Scarlet murmured, feigning ignorance to her father.

"You did. I know you like a gentle breeze in your room, but the last thing I want is for a stray Grimm to climb into your room." Jason stated as Scarlet sat down at the table.

"I can take a Grimm on easily!" Scarlet argued as Jason scratched his head.

"I thought the same thing at your age. But it ended up giving me this scar." Jason replied as he pushed his hair up to show the scar over his right eye.

"So don't get too ahead of yourself." Jason insisted as he rubbed Scarlet's head.

"Now eat your breakfast while I go to wake up your brother," Jason added as he walked off.

"What about Mom?" Scarlet inquired, surprised she wasn't up by now.

"She's still sleeping. She had a late night with work, so it's best not to wake her." Jason answered as he disappeared down the hallway.

"Oh right, Mom was out infi…inful…taking down some bandits nearby," Scarlet remembered as she began to eat one of the stacks of pancakes.

Bandit activity has been increasing at an astonishing rate recently in the area. Even with the Grimm returning in droves, it didn't stop these criminals from attacking. People were getting a little worried, so Neo accepted a job to enter their ranks and take some down.

Thanks to her semblance, it wasn't so hard for her to do, but the group she found was only a small part of a bigger band. Thanks to Neo's extensive knowledge of the criminal underworld, she easily figured out some inside information and how the bandits operated but, unfortunately, couldn't find the main camp.

Scarlet wondered if her mother had found it this time, but she'd find out later. Overall she wasn't too concerned about the bandits herself, as none were that strong compared to her father. In fact, a few weeks ago, some bandits tried to attack Saiyatown, but her father easily defeated them.

He even let Scarlet fight a few of the weaker ones, allowing her to get a taste of a real fight. It wasn't hard, especially with her natural strength, but she couldn't defeat them as easily as her father did. That being said, she wanted to fight a few of the stronger ones, but her father had said:

"Though you may be far stronger than them, strength isn't everything. Unlike you, they know how to fight, which means they know how to go against someone stronger than they are."

"If you're not careful, they can easily take you out when your guard is down, which is why I want you to learn how to properly fight before you try to fight anyone without my supervision."

It was those words that gave her the idea to secretly train with Kai, who trained her own father as a child. She would train with her father, but her mother was adamant about having her wait until she was older before she trained seriously.

"I wonder if there's anything I can do to convince her to let me train early." Scarlet wondered as she didn't particularly like lying to her parents.

"Someone's hungry." Jason laughed as he returned with Roman half awake in his arms.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you've been running ten miles." Jason teased, making Scarlet pause.

"That's just…crazy, Dad. I always eat this much," Scarlet replied, knowing she had done such a thing earlier.

"Yeah, I know." Jason laughed as he placed Roman down, as the boy rubbed his eyes.

"Did you sleep well?" Scarlet signed to her little brother, who nodded.

"I wish I was still asleep, but I got hungry," Roman replied as he scratched the pink side of his hair.

Now four years old, Roman had grown to be just a few inches shorter than Scarlet's current height. His multicolored hair had grown out longer than Scarlet's and was tied into a small ponytail behind his head.

His normal wardrobe consisted of a pink shirt and brown pants, and half of his normally brown tail was dyed pink to match his hair. Currently, he was still in his pajamas as Jason placed one of the pancake stacks in front of him.

"Eat up." Jason insisted as he sat down with his kids, eating his own stack but leaving enough for Neo when she woke up.

"So, Scarlet, is anything interesting happening at school today?" Jason inquired as Scarlet finished her food.

"Not really. Though I think we will talk about your fight during the Vytal Festival." Scarlet answered, remembering the topics she was learning that day.

"Oh yeah. That brings up memories. Does anyone ask if you're related to me?" Jason asked, concerned that people would be flooding his daughter with questions.

"No, not really. Some asked, but I pointed out how you have a tail, and back then, you didn't." Scarlet explained as Jason deadpanned.

"You got around it that easy, huh?" Jason sighed, remembering how easy it was for him to tell others he wasn't the one in the video, thanks to his tail.

Sure many still concluded they were still one and the same, but most stopped asking once he revealed himself as an alien to the world. But since he was in Super Saiyan at the time, no one realized he was the same person as the one who fought during the "Battle of Gods."

Since interest all went to this blonde alien, people stopped questioning him about it, and soon after, once everyone saw his fight against Zandaka when he was in Super Saiyan 4, no one recognized him then either believing Jason to be three separate people.

The fact people so easily fell for it made Jason wonder how people separated fiction from reality. It reminded him how everyone on Earth believed wholeheartedly that Mr. Satan defeated Cell even though he was seen being easily beaten.

"Well, that's good. I'd hate for all that attention to make our lives hard." Jason smiled as Scarlet placed her plate in the sink.

"I'm going to go get dressed," Scarlet stated as she went off toward her room just as her mother came out.

"Good morning, Mom!" Scarlet greeted as Neo sleepily patted Scarlet on the head.

"Good morning." Neo signed as she went off to join the others at breakfast.

As Scarlet entered her room, Neo began eating as Jason cleared himself and Roman before grabbing coffee for Neo while Roman went to clean himself up. After sitting down, he made sure both Scarlet and Roman were out of earshot as he handed Neo her coffee.

"Scarlet snuck out again this morning." Jason sighed, causing Neo to cough up some coffee.

"Where did she go?" Neo questioned as she placed the coffee down.

"She went to Kai's. She's probably secretly training with him along with Milo." Jason answered, noting how Evan and Yang's son was there as well.

"She even left her window open when I checked on her earlier." Jason chuckled, earning a glare from his wife.

"I know. I know." Jason sighed, raising his hands up.

"But she's Half Saiyan and eager to learn more. We can't keep all that bottled up forever." Jason pointed out as Neo sighed.

"I know we can't, but. I just don't want to see her get hurt like you do." Neo replied, remembering all the times she'd seen Jason at the brink of death.

The very thought of seeing her daughter in such a state terrified Neo. Ever since Roman gave up his life to save her and Jason died in front of her, she feared seeing someone she cared for die before her eyes, and she didn't want Scarlet entering that life just yet.

But she knew that Jason was right. She loved fighting and the stories of great adventures. No matter what she did, Scarlet would eventually go out and begin her own training and journey. After all, Jason was the same when he was a boy.

"Then I'll make her training as safe as it can be. Besides, if we don't, then she'll just keep sneaking out to Kai's, and I don't him…introducing anything to her." Jason assured, noting that he didn't want Scarlet picking up any bad habits from Kai.

"And Kais know what will happen if she sees a real fight up close." Jason pointed out, knowing that Scarlet had only seen him spar with Elias once in Super Saiyan.

Even then, it was from a good distance, but he remembered the awestruck look on her face after the spar. One way or another, she'd pursue training just like he did. She was even doing so at Kai's mountain, just like he did.

"Fine, but…just be careful for me." Neo implored as Jason nodded.

"Of course," Jason smirked as Scarlet walked out of her room in her school uniform.

The uniform was a red blazer with a black skirt with a small hole in the back for her tail, an almost inverted version of Beacon's uniform. Smiling, Jason got up and grabbed onto a capsule given to him by Bulma on the counter.

"Here's your lunch, and try to eat it slowly." Jason insisted as he handed it to Scarlet.

"Okay." Scarlet nodded as she went to the front.

"See you later!" Scarlet waved as she opened up the door and flew off to Vale.

"I'm glad we could register her up for school in Vale." Neo smiled, happy that her daughter could attend school with her friends.

"Me too. Thankfully Professor Goodwitch was able to pull some strings." Jason replied as he grabbed a few things.

"Well, I've got a job to do down south. I'll be back in a few hours." Jason stated as he went to leave.

"Oh, and remind me to drop off Bulma's birthday present later." Jason insisted as Neo nodded.

Bulma's birthday was going to be tonight…relatively. Technically it was going to start tonight, but due to the time difference between Earth and Remnant, it was a little tricky. In fact, it should already be night where Bulma and the others lived about now.

That, combined with how busy they were, prevented them from attending her birthday party, so Jason wanted to at least drop off the gift. After all, Bulma's really been wanting to look at the hard light shields for a while now.

Earth…

Gohan placed the last box from the moving truck into the living room of his new home. It took surprisingly longer than he expected for him to unload everything into his new house, but it seemed that Mr. Satan had gotten a lot more things for him and Videl than he realized.

Sure, it was nice for him to buy this mansion for him and Videl as a wedding gift, but everything else seemed a bit much. Thankfully Videl had stopped him before he went too overboard, or else there would have been even more boxes.

"That's the last of them," Gohan sighed as he removed his glasses and rubbed his head.

After putting them back on, he proceeded to move all around the room faster than the eye could see. Now that the movers were gone, he didn't need to hold off his power. He quickly opened all the boxes and began placing everything in order and breaking down the boxes into a corner. After only a few minutes, he was finished, and everything was set up in the house.

"Perfect! Now I just need Videl's seal of approval." Gohan smiled as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

Videl was still at work in her dojo, which her father gifted her shortly after she graduated. Surprisingly she managed to make it far more popular than her own father's dojos which people flocked to, believing they could become "as strong as Mr. Satan" there.

But despite people thinking that many still chose to attend Videl's dojo. It was probably because Videl's training actually yielded more results due to her experience learning how to fly by Gohan. Of course, she didn't teach people Ki as it would be too dangerous in the wrong hands.

However, she taught people how to better use their bodies and move better, which yielded great results. As for Gohan, he was currently in the process of getting a job as a university professor at an accreditated university.

After graduating top of his class in both high school and college, he was flooded with job offers, but Gohan wanted to take his time to find the right one that gave him enough time to train at minimum twice a month.

"Now that I'm done, I should prepare some food for Videl. I'm sure she'll like it after a long day's work." Gohan smiled as he went to get started before he sensed his father's energy outside.

"Dad?" Gohan questioned as he went to the window and opened it up to see his father outside.

"Hey, Gohan!" Goku waved as he walked up to his son.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were going to be busy farming all day?" Gohan inquired, curious about how his mother allowed Goku to stop his only source of income.

"Well, I was, but Mr. Satan came around and gave us the money he earned for beating Buu. He said something about how we deserved it more than he did." Goku explained, causing Gohan to sigh.

"That makes sense. He's been pretty generous lately." Gohan commented as Goku looked at the big house.

"I'll say your house is huge! What are you going to do with all this space?" Goku wondered as Gohan shrugged.

"So what brings you here, Dad?" Gohan asked, curious why his father had come.

"Oh, right! Chi-Chi is letting me take a break from farming since we got the money, so I wanted to know if you were free for some training!" Goku answered, causing Gohan to sweatdrop.

"I should have expected as much." Gohan sighed as he scratched his head.

"Unfortunately, I'm a little busy tonight, and tomorrow's Bulma's birthday party, remember?" Gohan reminded as Goku tapped his chin.

"I guess I forgot." Goku laughed as Gohan sighed again.

"But are you sure you can't train just for a little bit? You and Jason are the only ones strong enough for me to push myself, and Vegeta just locks himself in the gravity chamber?" Goku inquired as Gohan nodded.

"Sorry, Dad, maybe next time. Besides, we already trained together a few weeks ago. What's the hurry?" Gohan asked as Goku looked up at the darkening sky.

"I don't know. I've just been thinking back on Buu. He was so strong that not a single one of us could fight him one on one." Goku began as he clenched his fist.

"Just thinking about it excites me because there has to be someone else out there as strong as him. No, maybe even stronger! And I want to be strong enough to fight them!" Goku exclaimed, looking back at his son.

"Well, I guess that part of you never changes, Dad." Gohan smiled as Goku nodded before turning away.

"I guess not. I'll see you at the housewarming party next week, Gohan!" Goku waved as he used Instant Transmission to leave.

"Guess that means he's skipping Bulma's party," Gohan noted as he closed the window.

But thinking about his father's words. He knew he was right. Every time they faced a terrifyingly strong monster, a new one would appear shortly after. Thankfully each time one came, they managed to beat them. Gohan just hoped that whatever came next, they'll be ready for it.

Far Off…

Beerus's Planet…

"Nothing like a nice bath after eating." Beerus sighed as he dipped himself into his personal hot spring.

"Now then, Whis, tell me about those Saiyans who defeated Buu." Beerus insisted as Whis sighed.

"If you insist, my lord. But I would advise against chasing after a dream you all but forgot." Whis replied, making Beerus grunt.

"I know there's something to that dream, Whis! Hey, Oracle Fish, get in here!" Beerus demanded as a floating fish bowl entered the room and inside held a small fish.

"What is it, Lord Beerus?" The Oracle Fish questioned, peering out of its bowl.

"Tell me, have you had any prophecies lately? At least any pertaining to a Super Saiyan God?" Beerus inquired, confusing the Oracle Fish.

"Super Saiyan God? Can't say I've heard of such a thing." The Oracle Fish replied as they tapped their chin.

"The last prophecy I foresaw was…I think it came just after you went to sleep decades ago. But I can't really remember what it was." Oracle Fish stated, annoying Beerus.

"Well, if I take away one of your meals, will that motivate you enough to remember?" Beerus questioned as the Oracle Fish panicked.

"Well…I uh…" The Oracle Fish stuttered as they tried to remember the prophecy.

"Oh, now I remember!" The Oracle Fish exclaimed as it flew near Beerus.

"Soon, a mortal will arise who will be worthy of being your rival." The Oracle Fish revealed shocking Beerus and Whis.

"AHA!" Beerus smirked as he stood up.

"See, Whis, this proves it! My dream must have been telling me who this rival is. This Super Saiyan God will be able to fight me as an equal!" Beerus smirked as Whis sighed.

"While I can't entirely deny the possibility, I feel like your dream was simply influenced by seeing the Saiyans before you went back to sleep," Whis replied as Beerus sat back down.

"Don't be like that, Whis. After all, if these Saiyans are strong enough to defeat Majin Buu, then surely they'll be strong enough to fight me." Beerus pointed out as Whis looked into his staff.

"Actually, neither one of the four was able to fight Buu on equal footing. It was thanks to a Spirit Bomb, a technique developed by the Northern Kai, that they were able to kill Buu." Whis reported causing Beerus to sulk.

"I see. So which out of them is the strongest?" Beerus questioned as Whis nodded.

"The strongest at the time was…Son Gohan, but he seems to not have a very strict training regimen if you ask me, so I can't say how strong he is now." Whis began as he peered into his staff.

"After him was Jason Shin, who was able to kill the demons Zandaka and Sekai single handily, mostly. After him is Son Goku, who defeated Frieza on his own and assisted Jason and Vegeta in killing Cooler." Whis reported shocking Beerus.

"Wait a second! Frieza is dead! And so are that demon kin the Kai sealed on that desolate planet?!" Beerus gasped as Whis nodded.

"Yes, that's right. Though that planet isn't desolate now. It actually developed an abundance of life when Zandaka's two halves stole the relics from the Supreme Kai." Whis explained as Beerus scratched his head.

"Unbelievable. I never thought there would be mortals strong enough to kill them." Beerus murmured as he cracked a smile.

"I was willing to let them go as long as they minded their own business, but it seems the universe has many surprises," Beerus smirked before pausing.

"Wait. You said the last one was Vegeta. Do you mean the king or the prince?" Beerus questioned as Whis looked at his staff again.

"The prince, sir. It seems most Saiyans, including him, live on the planet Earth. While the rest consisting of Jason Shin and his family, live on the planet Zandaka occupied called Remnant." Whis reported as Beerus rubbed his chin.

"I see. Well, then, who's closer? I'll just ask them about the Super Saiyan God." Beerus asked, ready to start visiting the Saiyans.

"It seems Remnant is closer to us, my lord. But it only has Jason Shin and his young children there." Whis began causing Beerus to hum.

"I see. Maybe I could use that Relic of Knowledge the Supreme Kai has." Beerus suggested as Whis nodded.

"Yes, that might be more efficient. Then you can visit Remnant and Earth after…." Whis continued before stopping abruptly.

"Is something wrong, Whis?" Beerus inquired as Whis shook his head.

"No, it's just that…Son Goku has left Earth." Whis explained, confusing Beerus.

Remnant…

Anima…

"Hey Evan, are the beams still holding?" Jason inquired as he held up a large wooden frame.

"Yeah, they're fine. You're good to put up the frame." Evan reported giving Jason a thumbs up.

"Thanks," Jason thanked as he walked over toward several wooden beams.

Both he and Evan were working on a small housing project in the southern parts of Anima. Since he was brought back to life, Evan had joined Jason in his construction work as a side hustle after Glynda managed to get him a huntsman license.

While at first, Evan was hesitant about the work, he found it nice to keep himself in shape with light cardio compared to rigorous training. That made him happy as training in Other World was always hard on him, especially when he sparred with Goku.

Ever since coming back, Evan updated his wardrobe with a red shirt, tan cargo pants, and black boots. Additionally, he had a red sash tied to his pants that had King Kai's symbol on it to show his training in Other World.

"So, have you told Yang about Milo sneaking out yet?" Jason inquired as he put the frame.

"Oh yeah, and she was not happy," Evan responded as he began to screw the frame onto the beams.

"She wanted to ground him for a month just for sneaking out. But she was far more upset that he was training without her." Evan explained as he shook his head.

"Honestly, I feel that's what she cared about more than him sneaking out," Evan commented as Jason laughed.

"Well, she has always been excited to teach him how to fight. So I can see where she's coming from." Jason replied as Evan finished attaching the frame.

"Yeah, I know. I just can't imagine what she'll do when Yin and Theo get to training age." Evan sighed as he moved on to put up more beams.

Yin and Theo were Evan and Yang's youngest children, a set of twins born a year after Evan came back to life. Apparently, Yang didn't give him a single day of rest, especially after their wedding, until she got pregnant again.

Milo was extremely excited by the news as he never thought he'd ever get younger siblings. Evan was as excited to actually be there for his kids as they grow up and not spectate it all from Other World. Though, at the time, he was too exhausted to show it.

"I'm sure everything will work out." Jason smiled as he grabbed onto a wooden beam and readied himself to stick it into the ground.

However, just as he went to plunge the beam into the ground, Goku appeared right in front of him. Jason was unable to stop himself as the beam hit Goku square in the face sending the Saiyan flying into a nearby tree.

"Whoa, what the hell?!" Jason shouted as he dropped the broken beam.

"G-Goku?!" Jason gasped as the Saiyan from Earth picked himself back up.

"Sorry about that. I didn't realize you were working." Goku apologized as Jason and Evan walked over.

"It's fine. Just try not to make it a habit," Jason insisted as he looked at the broken beam.

"What brings you to Remnant Goku?" Evan inquired, knowing that Goku wouldn't come here for nothing.

"Oh, I was wondering if you were free to train," Goku answered, surprising Jason and Evan.

"I thought you were working because your family ran out of savings?" Jason reminded as Goku laughed.

"I was, but Mr. Satan came around and gave us the money he got for "beating" Buu as thanks, so Chi-Chi let me go and train," Goku explained, rubbing the back of his head.

"I asked Gohan, but he's busy moving into his new house with Videl, and you're the only other one who can push me past my limit," Goku added as Jason sighed.

"Well, I'd love to Goku, but Evan and I are pretty busy," Jason explained, causing Goku to droop down.

"Ah, come on, there has to be something!" Goku cried as Evan approached them.

"I'm surprised you didn't just go to King Kai's planet. I'm sure he can put you through some more training like in Other World." Evan suggested as he remembered how Goku trained back when the two of them were still dead.

"Well, that is my backup plan," Goku replied as Jason sighed.

"Look, if you help us finish putting this stuff up, then I can train with you until I have to go home." Jason offered, making Goku smile.

"Perfect!" Goku smiled as he looked at the frame Jason and Evan put up.

"So uh…what are you doing here anyway?" Goku inquired as Jason placed a hand on Goku's shoulder.

"Just follow my lead." Jason insisted as he led Goku to the wooden frames and began to get his help on the project.

Supreme Kai's Planet…

"THIS IS TERRIBLE!" Elder Kai cried as he stared into the sky.

"What is it, Great Ancestor?" Shin questioned as he ran to his side.

"IT'S BEERUS! HE'S AWAKE!" Elder Kai answered, shocking Shin and Kibito.

"Oh no! What does he plan to do this time!?" Shin questioned as a pillar of light appeared behind the Kai. Turning around, the three Kai were met face to face with Beerus and Whis.

"Hello there, Kai. It's been a while." Beerus smirked as the three Kai shook in place.

"Hm. I don't recall there being three of you." Beerus murmured as his gaze shifted onto Elder Kai.

"I believe that's the Kai you sealed in the Z Sword many millennia ago, my lord," Whis informed as Beerus nodded.

"Oh, right. Now I remember." Beerus replied before turning his attention back to Elder Kai.

"So tell me, Kai. How did you get out of that sword?" Beerus questioned, causing Elder Kai to shrink down.

"The Z Sword was released a few years back, undoing the seal." Elder Kai explained, leaving out Gohan's involvement.

"Is that so? Tell me did it have anything to do with Majin Buu or those four Saiyans that killed him?" Beerus inquired, causing the three Kai to shudder.

"No, not at all! In fact, they weren't even here when it happened!" Shin denied waving his hands around.

"Oh really? Whis, care to fact-check that?" Beerus requested with a mischievous smirk.

"Of course, Lord Beerus," Whis replied as he looked into his staff, causing the Kai to panic.

"It seems the reason the Z Sword was freed by Son Gohan four years ago," Whis reported as Beerus snickered.

"Nothing to do with the Saiyans, huh?" Beerus asked as he glared at the three Kai, who could not make any plea.

"Honestly, I don't care why you lied. The reason I'm here is because you woke me all for nothing four years ago." Beerus stated as he pointed at Kibito, causing him to freeze.

"If you ever do that again, I will destroy you." Beerus threatened as Kibito nodded.

"You…you're not going to destroy him?" Shin questioned as Beerus shook his head.

"I'm actually in a decent mood, so I've decided to spare you for now. I'm actually going to pay those Saiyans a visit." Beerus explained, shocking the Kai.

"But why?!" Elder Kai asked, fearing the worst.

"After I fell asleep, I had a wonderful dream of a mortal that could fight as my equal. It was a dream about a Super Saiyan God." Beerus answered, confusing the Kai.

"Super Saiyan God?" Elder Kai questioned as he turned toward Shin.

"What's a Super Saiyan God?" Elder Kai inquired as Shin shrugged.

"I don't know, Great Ancestor. I've never heard of such a thing." Shin responded, causing Beerus to sigh.

"I was hoping one of you might. Oh well, bring out the Relic of Knowledge. I want to ask it." Beerus insisted as Shin nodded and summoned the relic.

"Jinn," Shin said, calling out the relic's spirit.

"What can I do for you….Lord Beerus?!" Jinn gasped as she flew away from Beerus.

"To what do I owe the pleasure?" Jinn inquired a little nervously.

"Don't be coy. You know why I'm here." Beerus stated, knowing that Jinn had all the knowledge of the universe, including current events.

"I see. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have no knowledge of this Super Saiyan God." Jinn reported shocking Shin and annoying Beerus.

"How can you not know?! You were designed to hold all the knowledge of the universe!" Beerus shouted as Jinn flew behind Shin.

"While that usually is true, due to my imprisonment by Zandaka, I was blind to the events around the universe for thousands of years. Including when the Saiyans appeared." Jinn explained as Beerus growled.

"I should have destroyed those pests sooner." Beerus hissed as Jinn flew out from behind Shin.

"But I can tell you about the current Saiyans around. Especially Jason Shin, the one who freed me." Jinn informed, piquing Beerus's interest.

"Hmm…" Beerus hummed as he stroked his chin.

"No, I don't think that's necessary. But tell me this. Are any of them currently able to go against my power?" Beerus inquired as Jinn got closer.

"No," Jinn stated, not hesitating to answer, causing Beerus to growl in annoyance.

"I see. You can go now." Beerus insisted, waving Jinn off as the spirit returned to the lamp.

"I'll just have to see for myself. Maybe one of them might know something about the Super Saiyan God." Beerus muttered as he turned toward Whis.

"Alright, Whis, I'm ready for that cake now. Take me to Remnant when I'm done." Beerus ordered as Whis nodded.

"As you wish, my lord," Whis replied as Beerus placed his hand on him, and the two disappeared.

"This is bad! Really really bad!" Elder Kai cried as Shin placed the Relic of Knowledge back where it belonged.

"If Beerus approaches the Saiyans, who knows what could happen!" Shin noted as Kibito nodded.

"We must warn them not to challenge Beerus! Tell them to avoid him at all costs!" Elder Kai insisted as Shin shook his head.

"If Beerus finds out we interfered, he'll return and do something to us! Plus, the second Goku hears about him, he'll challenge him no matter what!" Shin pointed out as Elder Kai furiously rubbed his head.

"What are we going to do?!" Elder Kai questioned, scared at what Beerus would do.

Vale…

Vytal Academy…

Scarlet sat with Milo and Nicole on top of their school building to eat their lunch. Technically, Milo and Nicole had already finished eating while Scarlet was still eating the massive pile of food her father had prepared for her.

"I still can't believe you can eat so much," Milo commented, earning an elbow to the gut from Nicole.

"You never say that to a girl!" Nicole stated as Milo nodded, rubbing where she hit him.

"Besides, I have to eat a lot because I'm Half Saiyan!" Scarlet added, noting her race's high metabolism.

If she wanted to stay energized and not pass out, she needed a lot of food. Her father and brother were no different. Thankfully she could bring all the food she needed from home with capsules from Earth. Without it, she couldn't get enough food for herself.

"I know, but it's still…impressive," Milo said, choosing his words wisely.

"So, what was the top of Kai's mountain like?" Nicole asked, having never been herself.

"It's emptier than you'd imagine," Scarlet answered as she finished up her food.

"Plus, it's really hard to breathe up there." Milo pointed out, remembering how hard it was to catch his breath the first time there.

"I kinda wish I was there with you guys." Nicole sighed, having never been herself.

Unlike her two friends, Nicole had no interest in learning Ki. In fact, she was far more interested in learning how to fight with swords like her father than hand to hand. She had been fascinated with weapons since a young age.

Frequently, when she visited Milo at his home in Patch, Nicole and Ruby would talk endlessly about weapons. Milo couldn't understand how Nicole did it as his aunt spoke a mile a minute and used terms he barely understood.

"Trust me, it's not that great, and Kai's kinda weird," Milo replied, noting Kai's odd behavior.

"By the way, how was getting home?" Scarlet inquired, causing Milo to sigh.

"It was fine at first, but I accidentally ran into Zwei, who nearly woke up my parents," Milo responded, remembering him trying to keep Zwei quiet when he got home.

"What are you two going to do if your parents find out you've been sneaking out?" Nicole asked as both Scarlet and Milo deadpanned.

"We uh…" Scarlet began as she trailed off before Milo finished for her.

"We have no idea," Milo answered, causing Nicole to laugh.

"Did you guys not think about it before?" Nicole questioned as Scarlet scratched her head.

"I didn't really think it was important," Scarlet responded as she put her capsule away.

"We should get back to class! I don't want to miss when they show Da…the Battle of Gods!" Scarlet insisted, quickly correcting herself before she outed her father.

Scarlet didn't know who could be watching, so she'd rather be safer than sorry. After climbing back to the ground, the three entered their school, returning to their classroom just as the bell rang. Once the rest of their classmates returned to class, their teacher Ms. Beige stood in front to take roll call, listing off name after name.

"Risa Lemon." Ms. Beige called as a student raised her hand.

"Here!" Risa replied as Ms. Beige checked her off on her scroll.

"Dar Fuchsia." Ms. Beige continued as the respective student raised his hand.

"Here," Dar replied, allowing Ms. Beige to check him off.

"Milo Xiao Long." Ms. Beige went on as Milo begrudgingly raised his hand.

"It's Knight-Xiao Long now." Milo reminded as Ms. Beige nodded.

"Right." Ms. Beige replied as she marked Milo in.

Ms. Beige continued taking roll call until she accounted for everyone in the class. Once she finished, she returned to the front of the class and turned on the holo screen which displayed a paused video.

"Today, as you know, we'll be watching the historical events during the Vytal Festival over twelve years ago." Ms. Beige began as she sat back at her desk.

"The dubbed Battle of Gods was when people with powers beyond what many had ever seen fought against one another to decide the fate of Vale and perhaps the world." Ms. Beige continued as an image of Silas.

"Many still believe that this man's wild claims were nothing but scare tactics to bring in more Grimm and bring down Vale, but with them being long gone, no one can say for sure." Ms. Beige explained as she began to play the video.

As Ms. Beige narrated the fight, many students whispered amongst one another about the fight and even questioned Milo and Nicole, whose parents were confirmed to be there. Thankfully none asked Scarlet any questions as everyone was fooled into thinking it wasn't her father fighting.

Scarlet herself was engrossed in the battle being displayed. She had never seen her father go all out before, and while this fight was when he was far weaker, it was interesting to see how he and Elias fought.

The determination and grit in her father's face fascinated her keeping her on the edge of her seat. It made her all the more eager to get stronger, just like him. As she watched, she failed to notice her teacher calling for her.

"Ms. Shin!" Ms. Beige called, snapping Scarlet out of her thoughts.

"Present!" Scarlet cried, thinking she was being called for attendance, causing her classmates to laugh.

"Please pay attention to the lesson and not just the footage." Ms. Beige requested as she walked over to Scarlet's desk.

"Now, since you like the video so much, can you explain what happened after this battle concluded?" Ms. Beige inquired as Scarlet recomposed herself.

"The Colosseum fell, and a large Grimm attacked, only to be immediately turned to stone," Scarlet answered as Ms. Beige gave her a satisfying nod.

"Correct. Afterward, the Colosseum fell down, and a large Grimm came attracted to the fear that surrounded Vale. Thankfully it was turned to stone before it could do any damage." Ms. Beige explained before returning to her desk.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Scarlet decided to stop watching for now so she didn't get into any more trouble. Still, she wondered if she would ever get to see her father fight as he did during the Battle of Gods again.

Patch…

"I'm home," Evan announced as he entered his home in Patch.

"Welcome back!" Ruby greeted, giving Evan a wave.

"How're Yin and Theo?" Evan inquired, sensing his twins upstairs.

"They're fine. Yang took them on a ride which put them right to sleep." Ruby smirked, causing Evan to pause.

"Did she use the car seats?" Evan asked as Ruby rolled her eyes.

"No, she put them on her lap," Ruby responded dryly, waving her hands back and forth.

"Okay, Okay, I get it. Can't blame me for being cautious." Evan replied before noticing the lack of Yang's energy.

"Where's Yang?" Evan questioned, curious about his wife's whereabouts.

"Off on a mission to blow off steam," Ruby reported, confusing Evan.

"Why didn't you join her? You're normally on board with any mission wi…." Evan asked before stopping himself.

"Right, so she's blowing off steam." Evan nodded, understanding why Ruby hadn't gone with her sister.

"You could always just sense where she is, you know?" Ruby teased, giving Evan a nudge as she entered the kitchen.

"Yeah, she told me not to do that. I'd be a little weird if I tracked her twenty-four-seven." Evan replied as he headed for the stairs.

"Speaking of, was that Goku I sensed earlier? Nothing bad is happening, right?" Ruby inquired with a little worry.

"Yeah, he's just here to beg for a training session. Jason promised to do so after work." Evan explained, easing Ruby's worries.

"You're not joining them?" Ruby questioned as Evan shook his head.

"Nah. Those two Saiyans can duke it out to their hearts' content. I'd rather not be shown the ever-growing power gap." Evan responded, making Ruby laugh.

"You're one to talk," Ruby noted, causing Evan to stop on the steps to respond, only to stop short.

"Fair enough," Evan replied before heading upstairs to check on his children.

Later…

Remnant's North Pole…

"Are you sure this place is safe for us to train in?" Goku inquired as he and Jason touched down.

"Yeah, it should be fine. No one really comes here, so we won't disturb anyone while we train." Jason responded as Goku stretched his body.

After getting Goku's help, they finished the job fairly quickly. Just as he promised, Jason brought Goku up to the north pole to train as Evan left to let them to train on their own. Which meant they could go all out here without worry.

"It's just that I thought your planet had a lot of open space," Goku noted, making Jason laugh.

"Yeah. Probably more than most. But ever since Salem died and the Grimm pits dried up, the world became much safer." Jason began as he cracked his neck.

"A lot more new villages and cities began to pop up everywhere, and they're still going strong even with the Grimm coming back in droves." Jason continued as he turned toward Goku.

"Which means if we go all out in most places, it's going to cause some trouble. Which I'd rather avoid." Jason finished as Goku nodded.

"I get it. Whenever Gohan and I train, we typically go to a desert or the Lookout." Goku commented as the two Saiyans got into fighting position.

"So, how about a warmup before we get serious?" Jason suggested as Goku gave a thumbs up.

"Sounds good! It's been a while since I trained, so I need to loosen up a bit." Goku agreed before powering up.

The two Saiyans, who were still in base form, smirked before rushing at one another at lightning-fast speeds. Just as the two were going to clash, Goku dropped down and kicked at Jason's head but was unable to reach as Jason flipped backward to avoid it.

However, Goku fired at the spot Jason was going to land, causing the Saiyan to lose his balance. Quickly getting back to his feet, Goku rushed in, aiming for Jason's gut. But just before he could reach, Jason's tail sprung out and wrapped around his arm, allowing him to throw Goku away.

"Man, a move like that makes me miss my own tail," Goku smirked as he landed on his feet.

"Maybe you can ask Shenron to grow it back for you," Jason suggested as he got back to his feet.

"Nah. I've gotten too used to being without it," Goku replied as he spun his right arm around.

"Ready to kick it up a notch?" Jason asked as Goku smirked.

"You bet!" Goku answered as the two turned Super Saiyan.

Goku rushed in and kicked at Jason's head, but his fellow Saiyan easily dodged by ducking back. Grabbing onto Goku's leg, Jason threw his fellow Saiyan to the ground, but Goku stopped him by firing Ki at Jason point blank.

Jason was forced to let go of Goku to avoid the attack allowing Goku to land on his hands and spin around to kick Jason in the stomach. In retaliation, Jason fired a Buster Flare at Goku, who pushed up with his hands to avoid the beam.

Flipping around, Goku punched Jason's face, but the Saiyan managed to catch the attack. Acting quickly, Goku spun to hit Jason with his elbow, but Jason dropped down and kicked Goku in the chin knocking him back.

In response, Goku used Instant Transmission to get behind Jason and hammer him in the back of his head. But Jason used Instant Transmission himself to avoid the attack and get behind Goku to avoid Goku's attack and launch one of his own.

However, before he could launch his own attack, Goku used Instant Transmission once more to get above Jason and fire off a quick Kamehameha. Jason quickly dispersed the attack with his hands before firing off a beam from his mouth, pushing Goku into the sky.

Goku pushed against the beam before powering up some more and shooting down toward Jason. Stopping his beam, Jason flew up and met Goku halfway, causing a massive shockwave as the two collided.

"Not bad, Goku. You've gotten stronger with just the Super Saiyan form." Jason complimented, making Goku smirk.

"Thanks, but I've still got a long way before I can match you or Gohan," Goku replied as the two broke apart.

"Then let's kick this training into overdrive!" Jason suggested as he turned into Super Saiyan 2.

"Alright!" Goku exclaimed as he did the same.

But just before either could make another move, a strange beam of light shot down from the sky, hitting the area just before them. This halted both Jason and Goku as they powered down to their base forms, confused as they didn't sense any Ki from the beam, nor did it break the ground apart.

When the beam disappeared, in its place were two men, one tall with blue skin and long white hair and the other with purple skin and seemed more like a humanoid cat. Jason stared at the two, confused at who they were and why he couldn't sense their energy. But just by looking at him, Jason could tell both were strong.

"Oh good, we caught them both here," Whis exclaimed as Beerus stepped forth and looked between Goku and Jason.

"Excellent I was going to be annoyed if I had to search the planet for them," Beerus commented, looking between Jason and Goku.

"Who're you supposed to be?" Jason questioned, apprehensive of Beerus's presence.

"That's no way to address a god boy," Beerus stated, glaring at Jason, causing a cold chill to run down the Saiyan's spine.

"A-A god?" Jason gasped as Goku inspected Beerus.

"You're a god? You don't look like any of the Kais." Goku pointed out as Beerus turned toward him.

"That's because I'm the God of Destruction. You can say that I'm separate from the Kais." Beerus explained, confusing the two Saiyans.

"God of Destruction…" Jason murmured, getting a bad feeling from that title.

"If he's a God of Destruction, don't tell me he goes around…destroying things." Jason thought as he eyed Beerus.

"Still, why has Shin never mentioned this guy befo…." Jason began before stopping that thought short.

"Wait a minute…." Jason gasped as a memory came to mind.

"Shin said something about a Destroyer. Back when Buu woke up." Jason stated, shocking Goku.

"Yes, that would be me. I'm the god in charge of destruction, meaning I go around and destroy any planet I want to keep the universe in balance." Beerus revealed as Jason and Goku shared a worried expression.

"I was still sleeping back then. Well, until that Kai's servant woke me up for nothing. That's when I first learned of you, Saiyans." Beerus stated as he scratched his ear.

"What brings you to Remnant, uh...Beerus, sir. You're not here to destroy anything, I hope?" Jason inquired, staying on guard.

"You can calm down. I don't plan on destroying this planet. Yet." Beerus responded, adding that last part to intimidate Goku and Jason.

"I'm here because after I saw the aftermath of your battle and went to sleep, I had a fascinating dream. One about a Super Saiyan God." Beerus explained, confusing Jason and Goku.

"Super Saiyan God?" Goku questioned, intrigued by what Beerus was talking about.

"It seems they don't know about it either," Whis commented as Beerus groaned.

"And here I was hoping one of you would know." Beerus moaned, scratching his head.

"What's a Super Saiyan God?" Jason inquired, curious at what Beerus was getting at.

"We were hoping one of you knew, but it seems we were mistaken." Beerus sighed as Goku walked up.

"Hey, if you're the God of Destruction, that means you're pretty strong, right?" Goku inquired, causing Beerus to turn toward him and Jason to shoot a glare his way.

"That's right. The reason I'm looking for the Super Saiyan God is that I've been told they can match my power. More or less." Beerus answered, whispering that last part to himself.

"Wow! Hey, could you perhaps show me some of that strength of yours?" Goku requested, shocking Beerus.

"Oh? You want to fight?" Beerus asked as Jason began to sweat.

"Why do I feel like something bad is going to happen?" Jason wondered as he eyed Goku.

"Well, maybe not a full fight. I just want to see how I match up! I may not know about a Super Saiyan God, but I know plenty about normal Super Saiyans!" Goku exclaimed as he turned back into Super Saiyan, intriguing Beerus.

"Hmm, so this is a Super Saiyan," Beerus murmured as he inspected Goku.

"Interesting. I won't lie; I am interested to see the power of the one who beat Frieza single-handedly. As well as the one who killed Zandaka." Beerus replied, glancing at Jason.

"Though I have it on good authority, you won't be able to match my power," Beerus stated, making Goku smirk.

"We won't know until I try!" Goku snickered, causing a smile to creep onto Beerus's face.

"I suppose you're right. Show me what you've got." Beerus insisted as Goku immediately rushed in.

Goku punched Beerus's face, only for the god to stop the attack with his pinky before flicking Goku in the head, sending him flying off. The Saiyan crashed through the ice below as he reverted to base form.

After a good minute, Goku picked himself back up, already breathing heavily from Beerus's attack. Taking a quick breather, Goku grinned as he looked back at Beerus, who motioned him to continue.

Without hesitation, he turned into Super Saiyan 2, placing himself behind Beerus by using Instant Transmission to place himself by Jason before shooting toward the god and kicking at his head. Unfazed, Beerus caught Goku's leg and tossed the Saiyan to the ground knocking him out of Super Saiyan 2.

"Is that all? I was expecting more." Beerus commented as Goku grit his teeth.

"Don't worry because there's more!" Goku shouted before turning into Super Saiyan 3.

"Hya!" Goku cried as he threw a punch full strength at Beerus, who disappeared from Goku's view.

Before he could question what had happened, he instinctively flew back, avoiding Beerus's attack from above, shocking Beerus and impressing Whis. The Saiyan then fired off a quick Kamehameha point blank, but Beerus shot out his hand, dispersing Goku's attack before disappearing again.

"What?" Goku gasped as Beerus appeared behind him.

"Well, now this form isn't bad," Beerus noted, shocking Goku.

"But it's still not enough," Beerus stated as he pushed against Goku's shoulder, sending the Saiyan crashing into the ground.

"Goku!" Jason shouted as he flew over to check on his friend.

"Are you okay?" Jason inquired while he helped an injured Goku up.

"Y-Yeah. He's tough." Goku laughed as Beerus landed before them.

"Is that all the power you have?" Beerus asked as Goku nodded.

"That's all I've got. You're really strong! I will have to train a lot more if I want to catch up!" Goku answered as Beerus raised his brow.

"You sound pretty certain that you'll catch up. I'll gladly fight you again to see if you can back those words up." Beerus smirked before turning his attention toward Jason.

"So, how about you? Would you like to test my power?" Beerus questioned as Jason looked at Beerus.

"I'm fine with watching Goku. Sorry, we couldn't help you find this Super Saiyan God." Jason apologized, causing Beerus to grunt.

"Oh really? Here I was hoping to see your power." Beerus replied, glaring at Jason.

"Then what if I were to destroy your planet? Would you fight then?" Beerus inquired, shocking Jason.

"Is that a threat?" Jason asked as Beerus chuckled.

"Take it how you like. But I'm more than willing to destroy this planet. It's no skin off my back. Plus, I'm a little annoyed at those pests who created this place." Beerus snickered as Jason stood up.

"I see," Jason murmured as he eyed Beerus nervously.

He couldn't say whether or not Beerus would make good on this threat, but since he was the God of Destruction, it wouldn't surprise him. Honestly, Jason didn't know if Beerus was telling the truth, but things seemed to line in place.

"I don't really have a choice, do I?" Jason thought before preparing himself.

"Fine, I'll fight. But only if you give me your word that you won't destroy my planet if I do." Jason requested as Beerus sighed.

"Very well. Now show me your power." Beerus smirked as Jason began to power up.

The ground began to break apart as Jason's shirt was destroyed, and red fur began to grow on his body. Beerus and Whis looked surprised as Jason's power skyrocketed and he transformed into Super Saiyan 4.

"Well, well, how interesting. Is this another one of your Super Saiyan forms?" Beerus inquired as Jason nodded.

"That's right. This is Super Saiyan 4," Jason replied as Whis rubbed his chin.

"Impressive but a bit barbaric, don't you think?" Whis commented, but Jason gave him no mind.

"Interesting. You're definitely far stronger than Goku." Beerus smirked as Jason shot toward Beerus.

Beerus held up his hand to catch Jason's attack but was taken back when Jason managed to push it back a little. Spinning around, Jason kicked the back of Beerus's head, pushing back by a few feet. Moving quick, Jason fired an Armageddon Blast encapsulating Beerus.

But Beerus pushed through the beam like it was nothing before planting his foot in Jason's stomach. The attack sent Jason flying for miles before he landed in the southernmost part of Solitas. Coughing up blood Jason got back to his feet just as Beerus appeared behind him.

Raising his arm, Jason blocked a kick by Beerus, but he was still sent flying toward a nearby mountain. Jason kept his feet planted on the ground tearing it apart as he skidded back, just stopping before he hit the mountain.

"Shit, I still can't sense his energy. I don't know where he'll attack from!" Jason thought as he wiped blood from his mouth.

"But I still can tell when he'll attack. Just like how I can tell when a Grimm is around, he gives off a strong sense of death." Jason noted, relieved he still had some way to keep track of Beerus.

"Still standing after taking two attacks? I'm actually impressed." Beerus complimented as he slowly approached Jason.

"You may not be a Super Saiyan God, but your power is certainly something to behold," Beerus noted as he created a small ball of Ki above his finger.

"But let's see how you handle this!" Beerus shouted as he threw the ball at Jason.

Extending out his arms, Jason held the ball back before throwing it to the sky, unable to break or stop the attack. With Jason open, Beerus jumped forward and planted his fist into Jason's gut. Jason's eyes bulged as he coughed out in pain before he joined his hands and hammered down on Beerus's head.

Moving fast, Jason grabbed onto Beerus's tail before throwing the god into the mountain behind him. But Beerus easily landed on his feet and jumped back toward Jason, tackling the Saiyan to the ground.

Jason fired a Buster Flare from each of his hands to propel himself upward, with Beerus tagging alone. Spinning around, Jason pushed Beerus off of him before slicing at him with a Dragon Claw to no effect.

Beerus simply grabbed onto Jason's arm and pulled him closer to knee the Saiyan in the gut knocking the wind out of him. Quickly catching his breath, Jason pushed Beerus's leg away before smashing his fist across Beerus's face.

The God of Destruction responded in kind with his own punch to the face. When the attack hit, Jason was sent spinning before using the momentum to land a powerful kick to Beerus's gut. Once his foot landed on Beerus, Jason fired a beam out of his foot, pushing Beerus back.

But Beerus didn't go far as he brushed the attack off and rushed back toward Jason and knocked the Saiyan back to the ground. Quickly reorientating himself, Jason landed on his feet, feeling pain reverberate through his body.

"That's good. But can you keep going?" Beerus smirked as he hovered over Jason.

"Yeah…." Jason replied, wiping blood from his mouth.

"For now." Jason thought before charging back toward Beerus.

Vale…

Vytal Academy…

"School's finally over! School's finally over!" Scarlet chanted as she rushed out of the front doors.

"Slow down. You don't want to break another door." Nicole insisted, causing Scarlet to stop as she remembered the time she had accidentally torn a door off its hinges.

"Oh, right." Scarlet laughed, tapping her fingers together.

"Why are you so excited anyway? You've been anxious for the last ten minutes?" Nicole inquired as Milo joined them.

"Her dad's fighting right now," Milo explained, having sensed Jason's energy.

"It's not just that! He's fighting all out! Or at least near that! After watching the Battle of Gods, I want to see him fight more!" Scarlet revealed, beaming with excitement.

"So you're going to go watch?" Nicole inquired as Scarlet nodded.

"I want to see him in action!" Scarlet smirked as she made several fighting poses.

"But won't he be mad?" Milo pointed out as Scarlet shook her head.

"I'm sure he'll be too busy to notice me if I keep my distance," Scarlet replied with a smug look.

"How do you know it isn't dangerous?" Nicole inquired, concerned.

"It's okay. He's probably just training with Mr. Goku. I sensed him earlier." Scarlet assured, believing her father was still sparing with his fellow Saiyan.

"If you say so. I kinda wish I could go too. After watching the Battle of Gods, I'm a little curious too." Nicole admitted looking a little down.

"I wish I could bring you, but I'm not allowed to carry anyone while flying," Scarlet replied as the two looked glum before Milo spoke up.

"Well, I'm going home. My mom is going to show me how to maintain machines, and I don't want to be late." Milo insisted as he turned to leave.

"Stay safe!" Milo waved before running off to find a good place to fly off.

"I should go too. Tell me how the fight goes tomorrow!" Nicole exclaimed as she left for her home.

"Okay!" Scarlet replied as she ducked into a nearby alley and flew off.

"Now that I think about it, though. I can't sense who Dad's fighting." Scarlet noted before flying faster.

Solitas…

Jason crashed into the ground as Beerus landed not too far. The Saiyan struggled to stay conscious as he looked up at the God of Destruction. He had been giving it his all, but Beerus was barely fazed.

It reminded him of how helpless he was against Buu, and it angered him. He had trained so much since then, but it seemed it wasn't enough. If only he could bring out the full power of Super Saiyan 4 without having to build up energy over time. Though even if he used full power, he doubted it would do much against Beerus.

"Damn." Jason spat as he picked himself off the ground.

"I have to say you're the strongest fighter I've been up against in ages. I never thought a mortal could get this much power." Beerus commented while he stretched.

"It serves as a nice little warmup for my battle with the Super Saiyan God. If I find them." Beerus added as Jason sighed.

"Well, I doubt this Super Saiyan God is out there. If someone that strong existed, I would have sensed them by now." Jason pointed out, making Beerus laugh.

"If that were true, then how come you were surprised to see me?" Beerus reminded, shocking Jason.

"That's right I…I can't sense his energy, yet he's so strong!" Jason noted as he eyed Beerus carefully.

"So I can't sense this Super Saiyan God for the same reason I can't sense you, then?" Jason inquired as Beerus nodded.

"Gods like myself use God Ki, something you mortals can't sense. This Super Saiyan God should be the same." Beerus explained before he disappeared and reappeared before Jason.

Beerus raised his hand to flick Jason's forehead, but the Saiyan managed to push Beerus's hand away with his tail before disappearing. Appearing behind Beerus, Jason punched him in the back of the head, forcing the god toward the ground.

Or so it seemed. Beerus had simply rolled forward with the attack and kicked Jason in the chin sending him flying into the sky. The God of Destruction gave chase, easily catching up with Jason, and threw his fist at the Saiyan.

But Jason used his tail to wrap around Beerus's arm to maneuver his way out of the god's attack as he moved behind Beerus. Throwing out his hands, Jason fired a barrage of Ki into the god's back. However, Beerus easily spun around and smacked Jason with his own tail.

The god then created several small balls of Ki and hurled them at Jason, who reorientated himself in preparation. He managed to dodge one, then two, but as more and more came, he just barely managed to avoid them. That is until the balls he had already dodged came back up and hit him in the back.

Coughing up blood Jason was unable to defend himself as the spheres converged on him. To avoid the attacks, Jason was forced to use Instant Transmission to avoid the attack placing himself at the nearest energy source he could find.

"Agghh!" Jason cried as he crashed into snow.

"Sorry for the intru…" Jason began as he got up before stopping short when he saw who he had teleported to.

"Hi, Dad." Scarlet waved nervously, unprepared for her father to appear next to her.

"What. Are you. Doing here?" Jason questioned as his daughter avoided his gaze.

"Well, I…you see, I…wanted to see you train. But I didn't realize you were fighting. LOOK OUT!" Scarlet cried before pointing behind Jason.

The Saiyan turned around to see Beerus shooting a large beam toward them, forcing Jason to grab onto Scarlet and fly off to avoid the attack. When the attack hit the ground, the resulting shockwave pushed Jason and Scarlet back toward the ground as Jason held Scarlet close to keep her safe.

"Your mom is going to kill me." Jason sighed as he went to use Instant Transmission to bring Scarlet home.

But before he could, Beerus was on them again, forcing Jason to grab onto his daughter again and move out of the way just as Beerus crashed into the ground where they just stood. After landing, Jason placed his daughter down before pushing her back.

"Head home. NOW." Jason ordered, putting extra emphasis on the now.

"But…" Scarlet argued before Jason looked at her with his yellow eyes.

"I wasn't asking. Now go before you get hurt." Jason insisted as he turned around and flew off toward Beerus.

Scarlet watched as her father fought with Beerus, scared at what was happening. She had come believing she would see her father spar with Goku, but instead, she found him fighting against someone or something she didn't know, and her father was being beaten thoroughly.

Even in what she assumed was Super Saiyan 4, her father wasn't able to match up with this other fighter. She was both scared and intrigued at the same time as she flew off and hid behind a hill of snow, not wanting to leave as she was concerned for her father.

Jason himself was still furiously fighting against Beerus as each attack he threw was countered by Beerus with ease. This whole fight reminded Jason of his battle with Buu, but unlike his battle with the monster, Beerus was caught up playing with his food.

Flipping backward, Jason created enough momentum to kick Beerus in the chin knocking the god upward. As Beerus flew up, Jason charged up and fired a massive Nova Crusher, hoping the focused beam would do some damage to Beerus.

But Beerus stopped himself before pushing out two of his fingers, splitting the beam in two and pushing Jason toward the ground. After seeing Jason hit the ground, Beerus raised his hand above his head, creating a giant ball of Ki.

Beerus smirked before hurling the ball down upon the unprepared Saiyan, who had only just gotten back to his feet. Seeing the oncoming attack creeping in, Jason flew up while putting all of his strength into his right fist, giving it a golden glow.

"DRAGON FIST!" Jason shouted as he punched Beerus's attack with all his might.

The energy quickly exited Jason's fist and pushed against the ball of Ki, managing to hold it back, but cracks began to form around the dragon. Soon the dragon completely shattered, and Beerus's attack advanced on Jason.

Crossing his arms, Jason braced for impact as the ball of Ki hit, causing a planet-shattering explosion. When the dust settled, Jason was still there, but he was not in base form. His clothes were in tatters, and he was covered head to toe in cuts and bruises.

"I guess this is as far as you go," Beerus commented as he lowered himself to Jason's level.

"Was this….good enough?" Jason questioned, looking at Beerus with half-open eyes.

"Hmm…" Beerus hummed as he tapped his chin.

"Yes, it wasn't that bad at all. Though I only used ten percent of my power." Beerus relayed, causing Jason to smile.

"That's good," Jason replied before falling down, only for a blue hand to catch him.

"Finished, my lord?" Whis inquired as he held Jason up.

"I am. Those two Saiyans were full of surprises." Beerus smirked as he and Whis lowered toward the ground.

"Indeed, this one had much more power than I was expecting, and the other Son Goku…." Whis began while Beerus nodded.

"Yes, there's something about him that surprised me. He dodged my attack before I even decided to make it." Beerus commented as he looked at Jason.

"I can't help but wonder how well he could have fought if he had this one's power," Beerus noted as they landed on the ground.

"Well, since this planet didn't give us clues to the Super Saiyan God, shall we head to Earth?" Whis inquired before placing Jason on the ground.

"Yes, let's." Beerus nodded before turning toward a small hill of snow.

"You there! The welp who's been watching. Would you be a dear and take this man to your nearest settlement." Beerus insisted, shocking Scarlet, who peeked out from behind the hill.

"W-Who are you?" Scarlet questioned, still reeling from the sight of her defeated father.

"You can ask your father when he wakes, child," Whis answered, confusing Beerus as he looked between Jason and Scarlet.

"Shall we go, my lord?" Whis asked as Beerus returned his attention to Whis.

"Yes, no more wasting time," Beerus answered as Whis tapped his staff onto the ground, and the two disappeared into a pillar of light.

"Dad!" Scarlet cried as she ran to her father's side.

"Are you okay? Dad?" Scarlet questioned, pushing against the unconscious Jason.

"He'll be fine." A Voice reported, shocking Scarlet as she turned to see Goku.

"Mr. Goku?" Scarlet gasped, watching as Goku limped over and picked Jason up.

"We need to get him home." Goku insisted as Scarlet helped lift her father.

"What's going on?" Scarlet inquired, still confused about what was happening.

"I'll explain once I get you home," Goku responded before placing two fingers on his forehead and using Instant Transmission to return to Jason's home.

Beerus's search for the Super Saiyan God is now on course for Earth! With Goku and Jason out of commission and the Saiyans of Earth put up a better fight for Beerus? Or will the god beat them just as he did with Goku and Jason?

The search for the Super Saiyan God continues Next Time!

Author's Note:

And so the short hiatus ends. Well, I guess it wasn't that short, but I digress. Either way, we're back with a huge chapter to make up for the wait! With that chapter comes the start of the Battle of Gods arc, which is ironic since I named the fight between Silas, Elias, and Jason the same thing which I used for fun in this chapter, lol.

I also had a whole lot of fun writing for Beerus this chapter as I made the opening a different scenario than in canon. Though that being said, the only version I know is the anime version, as I never saw the Battle of Gods movie. But the story of the movie and anime are nearly identical though the movie obviously did it better since the anime stretched it out way too much.

Makes me kinda want to buy it so I can watch lol. Anyways like I said before, it was fun writing for Beerus, especially the open. Now in case anyone is curious, this arc will only last a few more chapters since the whole story takes place in less than a single day. But I am setting up for a story after the battle with Beerus ends.

Now before anyone asks about the strength of SSJ4 in comparison to God and Blue in this story, normal SSJ4 is obviously inferior. I've said it before (I think lol), but for me, I think SSJ4 just isn't as strong as those two forms but has the potential to be. Jason has yet to bring out that potential, especially since it takes him a while just to bring out his full power.

But he'll get on that eventually. I won't say much for now, as it'll be spoiling the next arc after this. Additionally, I've been showing a good amount of focus on Scarlet in this chapter, too, as from here on out, I'll be using her to tell stories on Remnant as Jason goes through the events of Super and other stuff I throw at him.

This way, I can still make use of RWBY characters in her stories. So look forward to that! That's all I have for now, so let's get to the reviews:

Mattaro – Yeah, I get you. The Buu arc isn't the best, but I think I did a good job changing it in here. Obviously, I just jumped right to the Battle of Gods arc; however, after will be an arc that half focuses on RWBY/Scarlet and half on Jason's training.

Yeah, since the power creep has gotten huge, they can't really help Jason fight, which is why they'll have to have some of their own adventures. I think I'm going to place those kinds of stories around here or there until I finally cap off this story with the Tournament of Power.

FreshlimitBuster (Guest) – Kinda. For Jason, technically, no, as he'll just be advancing the SSJ4 form and using powers already seen in other DB content. That being said, I will be putting my own twist on them. But I will be giving something to other characters, more specifically Elias since the only form he has is the True Tuffle form, which is just base Baby Vegeta.

I want to expand on that power more with some development of his character, as lately, he's been a little stagnated when looking at previous arcs. The same goes for Evan though I don't think he'll be getting a transformation perse just a power boost.

As for the other characters like Damian, Alex, and the rest of RWBY, as I've stated above, they will be seeing more time in my story along with Scarlet, just away from the bigger threats. For the most part, at least :).

501awezome – Thank you. I'm glad you like my story so much. I hope that going forward, I can continue to make a good story for both RWBY and Dragon Ball fans. Yeah, I hope to continue improving dialogue. Since this was the first story I've made, the dialogue was definitely rough early on, lol.

I hope to make you happy with Dragon Ball Super as I'm excited to show off what I have planned for this story, especially with the Goku Black and Tournament of Power arcs. As for a pairing with Ruby and Weiss, honestly, I haven't really thought about it. I wasn't really planning on pairing them with anyone, and I don't think I'll make OCs to do so.

But who knows, I might change my mind in the future. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.

MageMog – I'm happy to hear how much you love the story, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy as I continue on :).

Luffy L Deathwalker – Thanks, and yeah, honestly, when I was writing that scene, I couldn't think of a reason not to bring back Evan, so yeah, he back, lol. I am excited to write more fights with him since I, unfortunately, didn't use him much early on in my story.

Luke (Guest) – Glad you liked it hope you enjoyed the chapter!

The Saiyan Boy – Thanks.

Monster King – Finally got around to it, lol.

Just a reader now a writer – Thanks, and I'm excited to write more with Super, especially with my own stories in between.

Wow, that's the most amount of reviews I've had on a single chapter in a while, lol. But that's all for today, so I'll see you guys next time!
