MY FIRST FANFIC
A/N: This is set just after "Runaway Spike". I had this thought and wanted to see how it would turn out. I don't own "Power rangers" or The song "Say Something" by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera.

As Mia packed her bag, she stopped and looked around the bedroom she has lived in since moving to the Shiba House. The bedroom had a queen size bed in the middle, a nightstand on one side with the dresser on the other. A door on the left side of the room leading to her small bathroom with another door on the right leading to the hallway.
A pink bunny was laying on the pillows of the bed. Mia looked at it and touched its ears. This bunny meant so much to her. It was the last thing from her mother. Mia smiled at the memory before grabbing the bunny, hugging it close and putting it in her bag.

A memory floods in, it was the morning of her birthday. A day she rather celebrated in peace but it was her 20th and even though she wanted to celebrate it on her own her family had made something special for her. As she walks to the kitchen she hears her favorite song "Super Trouper" come on from outside. She walks to the front door with her team following behind, also confused by the music. She opened the doors and there it was.
Her stepmom and aunts in costumes playing as Donna & The Dynamos from Mamma Mia. Her brother and dad are behind managing the music. She covers her face in embarrassment as they start to sing and dance while her team starts cheering from behind her. Emily next to her and the boys behind.

Mia leaves her room quietly making sure not to wake the others. She walks down the hallway and looks into the kitchen. The place where she burnt the food a lot. She smiled at the memories and kept walking until she ended up in the living room with the dojo room opposite it. Mia goes to the gap sensor and lays her samuraizer with the note she had written.
She leaves the shiba house and walks over to the gate before looking over her shoulder one more time. "It's for the best." She whispers as she wipes her eyes. This place became her home. The people became her family and yet here she is leaving it. She turns back and leaves through the open gates down the road.

It was morning, The boys were laughing in the kitchen while having breakfast with Mentor cooking. When Emily came in with a confused expression holding the pink samuraizer and note from Mia. "Guys?" She says and the boys turned to her. They get confused as they see the note and the samuraizer. "Is that yours, Em?" The green rangers ask and Emily shakes her head. "What does the note say?" The leader of the team says. Emily puts the samuraizer down and opens the note. She begins to read outloud.
"Dear team,
by the time you have read this, i would have left and already home. I'm in a bad place. My mental health has gotten worse and I noticed that I'm not as strong as I used to be. My head is a mess and I have come to terms that I'm not fit enough to be the pink ranger at the moment. I'm going home for a while to get better. If you are still fighting, by the time I am better, I will come back…
Emily turns the note to the other side.
And I'm saying goodbye
…You guys are the best and I already miss you but I know I have to do this for me. Please keep fighting without me and keep me in your hearts. I love you all, Rangers Together, Samurai Forever,
Mia."
When Emily had finished reading, Everyone was quiet as a mouse. No movements or sounds were made. The yellow ranger had some tears in her eyes. Her best friend has left. The big sister to her has left but she understands why and will wait for her return.

And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you
The past three months have been healing for Mia. She is slowly getting better and her brother has helped. She stayed with her brother and parents. The process was rough but she knew inside her it was helping. She thought about the team often and missed them but it was and is for the best.
The team missed her, for the first few weeks was quiet and a little rough but they knew she was okay and hoped for her to come back. Jayden missed his pink ranger best friend and crush the most. They were always teased about being a couple since they started to cuddle each night. It was after Jayden had ran away, the first night he was back Mia had quietly walked into his room and climbed into the side of his bed facing him. She watched as he slept with his forehead almost touching her's. She moved the blanket a bit and heard him stir. She looked at him as he opened his eyes and saw her.
"I wanted to make sure…you wouldn't run away again…" Mia mumbles as she looks down. He smiled a little and wrapped his arm around her, his lips touching her forehead and he whispered. "I won't…promise."

The gap sensor went off and Mentor came outside to where they were training. "Nighlok Attack. City Center." The rangers nod and run to fight the Nighlok. "GO! GO! Samurai!" They shout as they transform while running to the city center.
After the fight, they all got ice cream but something catched Emily's eye. It was Mia with her brother Terry coming out of the grocery store. The male rangers soon see the yellow staring and follow her gaze to see the pink ranger smiling with her brother. Mia felt people staring at her and looks over her shoulder to see them. She stops in her tracks.
She gives them a small smile and a wave before going to catch her with Terry.
