Oh, Brother…
Rheddii's eyes went wide…
Frozen in place by those all too familiar words…
"Just watch me!"
Said the all too familiar voice from a distant memory of the past…
"I'm gonna get together the strongest crew ever! Even better than Shanks!"
It was a lively voice–
Chipper and full of energy…
A voice that helped mold her childhood when her father left her behind…
"And then…I'm gonna be KING of the Pirates! You'll see!"

It can't be…
Rheddii thought to herself as her eyes went wide–
Drifting upwards in search of the source of the voice that dared make such a bold claim…
King of the Pirates…!?
There was only one person she knew who had the gall to make such a claim and boast about it.
"My name is Monkey D. Luffy~"
That's what he said…
"And I am the man who will become King Of The Pirates!"
There was not a single doubt in her mind that remained once that introduction was made from the ship above her.
"Luffy…" she spoke his name out softly.
No way…
Did I really just run into Luffy out here by chance!?
She wondered.
What kind of Luck is that–!?
He left out to sea a little while before me didn't he!?
She pondered.
I wonder what could have happened…
It feels like I ran into him way too soon…
Her eyes narrowed curiously as she tried to ponder what was happening all around her.
…Did he get stranded or something?
Almost as though he could hear her thoughts–
He showed up–
Grinning ear to ear leaping and bouncing around his scattered foes…
With a hostage?
Well that doesn't seem quite right…
Rheddii thought to herself as she watched her foolhardy friend abandon ship while carrying a kid in his arms while grinning.
It's not like Luffy to take captives…
Something else has to be going on here–
"Heeeeeeeyyyyy~! Luffyyyyyy~!"
She called his name–
Waving her arms to try and get his attention–
But her cries fell on deaf ears.
Or rather–
They were blocked out by the sound of the racket of screams, cries and the clashing of weapons.
…And her own screams as well.
From the rough waters that came with it all–
Her eyes went wide as she let out a shriek when a small boat came down on her–
Maneuvering for her dear life to avoid contact of the inevitable crash landing that awaited her–
She managed to weave herself out of the way–
Just in the nick of time!
"Hm?" Luffy blinked a few times and looked around him.
"Wh-what's up?" asked Coby— the cabin boy that the young pirate decided to bring along for the ride in a botched rescue mission from Alvida and her dangerous club.
"Huh? Oh– it's nothin'." said Luffy, "I just thought I heard somethin'" he grinned, "Nevermind that now though~ Let's go!"

Rheddii was left panicking.
Her body dripped in a cold sweat, and her heart pounded against her chest.
That…
Was too close…
She thought to herself.
Feeling relieved that she managed to avoid the brink of most of it…
At the cost of some supplies…
And a slightly damaged vessel.
Dammit Luffy…
She groaned to herself.
I hope my boat can last…
She sighed, slicking back her now wet red hair and shifting her crooked goggles back into place.
Where is he even going!?
She wondered as she tried to find him once more.
But their boat was fading further and further away out of her sight.

I can't let them go!
Not like this!
She thought to herself as she quickly tried to shift her gears to sail after them.
