A/N: Written prior to "New Beginnings" airing.

"What do you think, the blue or pink?" Deeks asked, coming into his and Kensi's bedroom with a jacket in each hand. She already wore a floor length metallic gown with a high slight and cutouts that displayed the curves of her collar bones. She looked stunning.

Kensi spared them a glance. "Mm, the pink," she answered after a moment of consideration.

"You usually pick blue."

"Yes, but I know how much you've wanted to wear that pink jacket since you bought it. Anna and Callen's wedding is the perfect opportunity."

Deeks grinned at Kensi's response, tossing the blue to the side and shrugging the pink jacket over his shoulders.

Anna and Callen's decision to move the wedding date up had left them all scrambling to get ready. Personally, Deeks didn't mind, and he thought a slightly less formal affair seemed more in tune with both Anna and Callen's personalities.

"I was going to wear this dress, but I don't think it fits anymore," Kensi said. Frowning, Deeks turned, giving Kensi's silver encases curves another thorough look.

"You look gorgeous," he said.

"You don't think there's a bump?" She smoothed her hands over her lower abdomen; Deeks followed the movement with a tilt of his head.

"Uh, is this a trick question? Because I see nothing but perfection."

"Aww, that's so sweet, but you're making this really hard for me," she sighed.

"Making what hard? Was this dress outrageously expensive or something and now you're looking for a reason to return it? Because it's hot, but not like a $1,000 hot."

Kensi took his hand, deliberately placing it on her stomach to covers hers. It was such a deliberate move, a nearly universal one. But it can't be. They'd tried, and tried. Gone through wretched treatments and endless heartbreak. They'd moved on.

"Kensi. No," he murmured. Not because he didn't want this to be true, but because he can't bear for the disappointment.

"In a few months, this dress isn't going to fit at all," Kensi gave as her round about answer.

Deeks hands migrated higher to grasp her back, too shocked to speak for a moment. He shook his head a couple times. "How," was all he finally managed.

"Well, two days ago I took a test and it was positive. And since then, I took five more tests, just to be sure." She shrugged, her expression a little apologetic. "I wanted to know for certain before I said anything to you." She grinned then slightly, reaching up to cup one cheek. "Just in case I didn't make it clear, I'm pregnant."

"Oh my god," Deeks whispered. He felt lightheaded.

"Babe, breathe," Kensi reminded him, nodding encouragingly when he inhaled and then exhaled slowly. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, I just never expected this." He tugged Kensi closer. "I couldn't be happier, and also terrified. And I think I might be experiencing a tiny case of shock cause my toes are all tingly."

They laughed together, sharing in their joy and amazement. Raising her other palm to his face, Kensi smiled up at him, her joy shining in her eyes.
