Yuya exits the dueling field only to be instantly knocked down by Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi who hug and congratulate her on her win. As she tries to get up Gongenzaka comes over and pulls her into a bone crushing hug congratulating her as well.
"Yuzu, you're up next! I'm counting on you!" Yuya says as she gets up.
"Got it. Leave it to me. Our You Show Duel School is riding on it after all. There is no way I'm going to loose!" Yuzu says, determined to win.
"I can't believe you lost to a student from this minuscule Duel School in a single turn. You're making your title of LDS Xyz course cry." Himika scolds Hokuto, who is on his knees in front of her, drowned in shame after his defeat.
"But Pendulum Summoning. Now I want it even more." Himika thinks as she glances toward Yuya, her eyes filled with greed.
"You're next." Himika says.
"Understood, Chairwoman." says the girl with long black hair as she gets up.
"I'm Masumi Kotsu of the Fusion Course." she introduces herself as she walks over to them.
"Oh? She's a fusion user?" Sora questions as he eats a biscuit stick.
"So, which one of you will be my opponent?" Masumi asks, as she puts on her duel disk.
"I will!" Yuzu declares, to which Masumi glances at her.
"With You Show Duel School riding on this duel, I can't lose!" Yuzu thinks before she is snapped out of her thoughts by Masumi's chuckling, who looks at her as if she has already won.
"A field that suits my cute daughter would be.. this one! Field Magic! Crystal Corridor!" Shuzo says as he activates the action field, a corridor made of gems and mirrors.
"Yuzu! I picked a field that perfectly matches your dazzling cuteness! So shine to your heart's content!" Shuzo says, embarrassing Yuzu.
"To call someone like you dazzling, that's some incredible nepotism." Masumi says.
"What was that?" Yuzu asks, frustrated at the comment.
'Your eyes have no luster." Masumi states.
"Wh-Where did that come from?" Yuzu asks, starting to get angry.
"My father is a jeweler I've seen plenty of gems growing up.. ones that truly dazzle, true gems. That's why I can tell right now that you have no shine to you. It's proof that there is hesitation on your heart!" Masumi declares.
"Stop saying whatever you want! I'll prove whether there is any hesitation in my heart or not with this duel!" Yuzu says, having enough of Masumi's comments.
"Duelists locked in battle!" Yuya starts
"Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Gongenzaka continues
"They storm through this Field!" Yuya says
"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling! Action!" Tatsuya, Ayu and Futoshi finish
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuzu and Masumi say as the action cards are dispersed and the duel begins.

"I'm going first! I activate the Magic Card, Gem-Knight Fusion from my hand! With this card I can use Gem-Knight monsters in my hand to Fusion Summon!" Masumi declares, surprising Yuzu.
"A Fusion with monsters that haven't been summoned?" Yuya questions surprised.
"A Magic Card that allows you to use monsters in your hand as Fusion Materials. That's what Hand Fusion is." Sora explains, unimpressed.
"The cards in my hand I will fuse are Gem-Knight Roumaline amd Gem-Knight Emeral! Gem tinged with lightning. Brilliant emerald of good fortune. In a whirlpool of light combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Appear! The one who pursues victory, Gem-Knight Paz!" Masumi chants, to which her fusion appears.

"I can't believe she managed to Fusion Summon on her first turn..." Yuzu exclaims, stunned at what just happened.
"It seems even with your eyes that lack radiance you're able to understand how great Hand Fusion is." Masumi says.
"But.. The monster she Fusion Summoned only has 1800 Attack Points. It's by no means an unbeatable monster." Yuzu says.
"I wouldn't underestimate it if I were you. How you deal with this monster will decide your fate. I set one card and end my turn." Masumi says as her facedown appears.
"My turn, Draw!" Yuzu says as she starts her turn.

"Since I control a Melodious monster I can Special Summon Sonata the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu says as her second monster appears.

"Now, the concert begins! I release Aria and Sonata the Melodious Diva and Advance Summon! Enchanting melody echoing in the heavens. Awaken the sleeping virtuoso. Come forth! Level 8! Prodigy Mozart the Melodious Maestra!" Yuzu chants as her ace appears.

Tatsuya and Futoshi cheer at the sight of Yuzu's ace monster and Ayu jumps up and down from excitement.
"I always thought her monsters had something beautiful and enchanting to them, but now it feels even more so." Yuya thinks, smiling at the sight.
"I'm not done yet. Once per turn, Prodigy Mozart can Special Summon a Level Four or lower Melodious monster from my hand! Now come to the stage, Canon the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu says as Mozart releases a green light from her hand from which her new monster appears.

"Battle Phase! I attack Gem-Knight Paz with Prodigy Mozart! Graceful Wave!" Yuzu declares to which her monster shatters Paz with a soundwave.
Mausmi: 4000 - 3200 LP
"How was that? This is how I'll deal with your monster." Yuzu says, but Masumi doesn't reply.
"Canon you're up next! I attack directly with Canon the Melodious Diva!" Yuzu calls and canon attacks.
Masumi: 3200 - 1800 LP
"She did it!" Ayu cheers.
"Shivers!" Futoshi says.
"Good job Yuzu!" Yuya encourages her.
"It seems you have some skill. But don't think you've won just yet." Masumi says as she dusts herself off.
"Sore loser!" Yuzu calls her.
"You'll understand if I'm a sore loser or not on the next turn." Masumi replies.
"Canon the Melodious Diva's effect, once per turn she can change the battle position of a Melodious monster I control. I switch Canon to defense mode. Then I set one card and end my turn!" Yuzu says as canon switches to defense and her face down materializes.

"It still isn't stronger than Prodigy Mozart!" Yuzu says.
"I activate the Trap Card, Doublet Fusion! By banishing the Fusion Material Monsters from my Graveyard I can Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight Monster! I banish Gem-Knight Alexand, Roumaline and Emeral from my Graveyard!" Masumi says, shocking Yuya.
"Using Gem-Knight Paz's Fusion Materials that were sent to the Graveyard as well as Gem-Knight Alexand to perform a Fusion? Now she actually looks pretty good." Sora comments as he continuous eating sweets.
"Gem with facets of day and night. Gem tinged with lightning. Brilliant emerald of good fortune. In a whirlpool of light combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! Appear! Supreme radiance who illuminates everything! Gem-Knight Master Dia! This is my true ace monster!" Masumi chants as her a monster appears.
Gem-Knight Master Dia (LV.9) (2900ATK/2500DEF)
"I use Gem-Knight Master Dia's effect to banish the Gem-Knight Paz in my Graveyard." Masumi says, confusing Yuzu.
"Battle Phase! First I'll be attacking your Canon with Gem-Knight Crysta!" Masumi says to which Crysta destroys Canon.
"Here comes the real deal! I attack Prodigy Mozart with Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Masumi declares and her monster cuts down Mozart.
Yuzu: 4000 - 3700 LP
"Big sis Yuzu's ace monster got destroyed!" Ayu exclaims, getting worried.
"But she only took 300 points of damage!" Futoshi says.
"No, that's wrong." Masumi corrects him.
"What do you mean?" Yuzu asks.
"That's because before the Battle Phase started I activated Master Dia's effect. By banishing a Level Seven or lower Gem-Knight monster Master Dia gains its effects until the end of the turn." Masumi explains.
"So that's why you banished Gem-Knight Paz?" Yuzu realizes.
"That's right. Gem-Knight Paz's first effect! Since your monster was destroyed in battle with this card you take damage equal to your destroyed monsters original attack points!" Masumi explains as Master Dia blasts Yuzu with a wave of light, knocking her down.
Yuzu: 3700 - 1100 LP
"Yuzu! Keep burning! Hot-blooded!" Shuzo tearfully says.
"2600 points, that's a lot of damage." Tatsuya says.
"But she still has some life points left! If it's Yuzu then I'm sure she can..." Gongenzaka says before being interrupted by Sora.
"It might be over with this." Sora says to which Gongenzaka, Yuya, Ayu, Tatsuya and Futoshi look back toward him.
"This is probably the end." Sora says.
"Gem-Knight Paz's second effect! It can attack twice during the Battle Phase!" Mazumi says as Yuzu struggles to get up.
"This is the end! I make a direct attack with Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Masumi says as her monster prepares to attack.
"I activate the Trap, Counter Gate! With this, your direct attack is negated and I draw one card!" Yuzu says as she gets up.
A barrier blocks Master Dia's attack and Yuzu Draws one card from her deck.
"I stand corrected." Sora says, continuing to eat candy instead of paying a lot of attention to the duel.
"So you bought yourself another turn. It doesn't matter on my next turn you lose. I end my turn." Masumi says as she picks up an Action card from the pillar to her right.
"I activate the Action Magic, Mirror Barrier! Normally the effect of Doublet Fusion destroys the monster summoned by its effect during the End Phase, but do to Mirror Barrier's effect Master Dia's destruction is negated." Masumi explains as a mirror coat surrounds her monster.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuzu says, struggling a bit from the blast earlier.

"I activate the Magic Card, Pot of Greed! So I can draw two cards!" Yuzu says, as she draws, her eyes widening slightly at one of the cards before she smiles.
"I activate the Magic Card, Monster Reborn! I now Special Summon Prodigy Mozart from my Graveyard! Next I activate it's effect to summon a Level Four or lower Melodious Monster from my hand! I Special Summon another Sonata the Melodious Diva from my hand. And due to Sonata's effect, when she is on the field after being Special Summoned, all my Fairy-Type monsters gain 500 attack and defense points." Yuzu says.

"Why did she use Mozart to summon Sonata? She could have done that anyway with it's effect." Tatsuya questions.
"Since I activated the effect of a Fairy-Type monster I can now Special Summon this card from my hand. Come forth Protecting Spirit Loagaeth!" Yuzu says as the angel like monster appears.
Protecting Spirit Loagaeth (LV.7) (2400 - 2900ATK/2100 - 2600DEF)
Yuya's eyes widen as she sees the monster. She then smiles.
"So, you still have that one?" Yuya thinks as she remembers giving that card to Yuzu when they were little saying it suits her better.
"I activate Loagaeth's effect! By changing Sonata to defense mode I can banish your Gem-Knight Master Dia!" Yuzu says to which her monster slashes Master Dia with a wave of light, making him vanish, while Sonata switches position.
Sonata the Melodious Diva (LV.3) (1700ATK/1500DEF)
Masumi's eyes widen at the sight of her ace disappearing, while Yuzu's friends cheer for her.
"Battle Phase! Prodigy Mozart attack Gem-Knight Crysta! Graceful wave!" Yuzu says and Mozart destoys Crysta with a soundwave.
Masumi: 1800 - 1150 LP
"It's over! I attack directly Protecting Spirit Loagaeth!" Yuzu orders as her monster moves in to strike Masumi.
"Action Magic, Evasion! Your attack is negated!" Masumi says as she grabs another Action Card from a crystal platform, and Loagaeth's strike hits the ground instead.
"I end my turn!" Yuzu says slightly annoyed.
"My turn!" Masumi says.

"I have to congratulate you, I never thought I would use this card against you. I activate the Continuous Magic, Brilliant Fusion from my hand! With this card, I can Fusion Summon a Gem-Knight monster using monsters from my deck as Fusion Material!" Masumi says, shocking Yuya and Yuzu.
"She's actually decent, isn't she?" Sora questions, slightly impressed.
"I fuse Gem-Knight Ganet, Saphire and Obsidian! Crimson truth! Strong-willed blue! Sharp jet-black darkness! In a whirlpool of light, combine to bring forth a new dazzling radiance! Fusion Summon! This is my real ace! Dazzling lady, Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia!" Mazumi chants as her actual ace monster appears.
"The attack and defense points of the monster Fusion Summoned with Brilliant Fusion are reduced to 0." Masumi explains confusing everyone.
Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia (LV.10) (3400 - 0ATK/2000 - 0DEF)
"I activate Gem-Knight Fusion's effect from my Graveyard! By banishing Gem-Knight Crysta from my Graveyard, I can add Gem-Knight Fusion back to my hand. Then I activate Brilliant Fusion's second effect! By sending a Magic Card from my hand to the Graveyard, until my next Standby Phase Brilliant Dia's attack and defense points return to normal." Masumi explains as she discards Gem-Knight Fusion.
Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia (LV.10) (0 - 3400ATK/0 - 2000DEF)
"Next I activate the Equip Magic, Mage Power from my hand and equip it onto Brilliant Dia! Now my monster will gain an extra 500 attack and defense points for every Magic and Trap Card I control!" Masumi explains.
"Including the Equip Magic itself, that's two cards so her monster gains 1000 extra points!" Tatsuya says shocked, as everyone gets worried.
Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia (LV.10) (3400 - 4400ATK/2000 - 3000DEF)
"It's over! Battle Phase! Gem-Knight Lady Brilliant Dia attack Prodigy Mozart!" Masumi orders to which her monster destoys Mozart blasting Yuzu backwards.

The Action field and the remaining monsters disappeared and Yuya rushes onto the field.
"In the end she still lost." Sora comments.
Yuzu opens her eyes and sees Yuya next to her calling her name.
"You aren't hurt are you?" Yuya asks as Yuzu gets up.
"Y-Yeah..." Yuzu says.
"Oh, thank goodne-" before she can finish her sentence Yuzu falls toward her landing in her arms.
"Hey you sure you're okay?" Yuya asks getting worried.
"Just what am I doing.. Everyone was counting on me and I let them down. I let you down." Yuzu thinks as her hand tightens slightly on Yuya's shoulder.
"That's quite the show you two are giving us." Masumi says with a slight knowing grin.
Yuzu backs away from Yuya before she blushes bright red and pushes Yuya away. With her landing on her back.
"Ow... Where did that come from?!" Yuya asks as she gets up, rubbing her lower back.
"I-I'm sorry!" Yuzu says and bows slightly.
"If you're just going to apologize than you didn't have to push me." Yuya says with a slight pout.
"It's just.. it was such an important duel and I, I.." Yuzu says, clearly saddened.
"Don't worry about it, all we have to do is win the next one!" Yuya says, putting a hand on her shoulder and trying to cheer her up.
"All we have to do is win the next one? You make it sound like it'll be easy." someone asks them.
"You're.." Yuya wonders.
"I'm LDS Synchro Course Yaiba Todo. So, who's going to be my opponent?" Yaiba introduces himself.
"Big sis Yuya won, and big sis Yuzu lost... so the score is 1 - 1?" Ayu, Futoshi and Tatsuya summaries.
"I, the man, Gongenzaka would avenge Yuzu if I could but... a duel with You Show Duel School is on the line and with me being the successor to the Gongenzaka Dojo I'm an outsider!" Gongenzaka says frustrated.
"Listen up Sora! This is the moment of truth! You have to win!" Gongenzaka tells Sora.
"You know I'm not a fan of such stifling things... If you want you can go out in the next duel Little-Gon." Sora says while eating a lollipop.
"L-Little-Gon?! I can go out?" Gongenzaka questions.
"Sure. I don't know why but I'm getting the feeling I'm not a good matchup with that guy." Sora says as he looks over at the exercising Yaiba.
"If you say so then.." Gongenzaka says.
"We're counting on you Gongenzaka! If it's you my best friend Dueling then I've got nothing to worry about!" Yuya says.
"Yuya... Alright leave it to me! I swear on the name of Gongenzaka Dojo's Steadfast Dueling that I will win!" Gongenzaka says as his touched expression turns into fiery determination, before being interrupted.
"Hey! How long are you going to make me wait? Or are you scared and going to forfeit?" Yaiba asks.
"Unforgivable! To treat a man such as I Gongenzaka as a coward! Your opponent.. shall be me!" Gongenzaka says as he puts on his duel disk.
"Let me say this first, if you think I'm the same as those goody two-shoes you just fought you're going to find yourself hurting! Because after all unlike those guys, I'm actually strong!" Yaiba says.
"Yaiba that guy- he's talking about us as if we're weak!" Hokuto says angry.
"Sure it's annoying but since you lost in a single turn you can't blame him can you?" Masumi states with a sly look. At her comment Hokuto goes white and retreats into a corner, cowering in shame.
"The opponent this time is Yaiba Todo... Blade.. Katana.. Sword." Shuzo thinks and then decides the action field.
"Field Magic: Sword's Graveyard!" Shuzo says as the Wasteland filled with swords materializes.
"Gongenzaka! Use this sword graveyard to bury your opponent's blade!" Shuzo says.
"Mr. Hiiragi, if we win this match Yuya Sakaki of You Show Duel School will become LDS, do you agree with those conditions?" Himika asks.
"But, if we win this duel you aren't allowed to meddle with Yuya again!" Shuzo says.

"Tuner monster?" Yuya questions.
"At this moment I activate Superheavy Samurai Kabuto's effect! When my opponent successfully Special Summons I can change it to defense mode, and until the end of this turn its defense points increase by 500!" Gongenzaka declares.

"Too bad for you! You could have defeated Kabuto if you hadn't Special Summoned! In this duel the one who makes needless moves will lose, don't forget that!" Gongenzaka says.
"That's it Gongenzaka! Show him your Steadfast Dueling!" Yuya exclaims.
"What's this Steadfast Dueling crap?" Yaiba questions.
"I'm just getting started! If there are two or more X-Saber monsters on my Field, I can Special Summon XX-Saber Faultroll!" Yaiba exclaims.
XX-Saber Faultroll (LV.6) (2400ATK/1800DEF)
"He got out three monsters so fast!" Tatsuya exclaims.
"Save your surprise for after you see this! I choose to Tune the Level Four XX-Saber Boggart Knight, with the Level Three XX-Saber Fulhelmknight! Wielder of crossed blades of light, trample over this mountain of corpses! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! X-Saber Souza!" Yaiba chants as his monster appears.
X-Saber Souza (LV.7) (2500ATK/1600DEF)
"What is this?!" Futoshi questions shocked.
"By tuning the Synchro Materials with a Tuner monster you can call forth a monster whose Level is equal to their sum from the Extra Deck. This is Synchro Summoning!" Himika explains.
"So he combined a Level Three and Level Four monster to summon a Level Seven monster?" Yuya realizes.
"That's it! But there is still more to come! XX-Saber Faultroll's effect, once per turn it can Special Summon a Level Four or lower X-Saber monster from my Graveyard! The one I choose to Summon is XX-Saber Fulhelmknight!" Yaiba says as Faultroll revives Fulhelmknight.

"He revived a Tuner used for a Synchro Summon with another monster's effect!?" Shuzo exclaims.
"Then doesn't that mean he's.." Yuzu says.
"That's exactly it! I Tune the Level Six Faultroll with the Level Three Fulhelmknight! Let your silver armor shine and crush the hope of everything that opposes you! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 9! XX-Saber Gatmuz!" Yaiba chants as his second synchro monster appears.
XX-Saber Gatmuz (LV.9) (3100ATK/2600DEF)
"What's wrong? You scared speechless?" Yaiba taunts.
"A man should stand firm, not panic and not run around in an unseemly manner!" Gongenzaka says.
"I've heard enough! Then you won't mind if I go all out then! Battle Phase! I attack Superheavy Samurai Kabuto with XX-Saber Gatmuz!" Yaiba orders to which Gatmuz destoys Kabuto.
"How do you like the cutting edge of the X-Sabers! I'm not done yet! I attack directly with X-Saber Souza!" Yaiba declares and Souza pushes Gongenzaka backward with an X-shaped blast of lightning.
Gongenzaka: 4000 - 1500 LP
Seeing that Gongenzaka withstood the attack the kids are amazed.
"Hot-blooded! That's the foundation of our rival the Gongenzaka Dojo!" Shuzo says impressed at Gongenzaka's spirit.
"What're you talking about. I set one card and end my turn." Yaiba says as his facedown appears.
"My turn, Draw!" Gongenzaka says as he starts his turn.

"A summon in face-up defense position?!" Yaiba asks shocked.
"Being able to Advance Summon it in face-up defense position is one of Big Benkei's powers!" Gongenzaka explains.
"So what if he can do that?" Yaiba asks unimpressed.
"Without moving it will win! This the core principles of Steadfast Dueling!" Gongenzaka declares.
"Battle Phase! I attack XX-Saber Gatmuz with Big Benkei! Big Benkei can attack while it's in defense position! And it can use its defense points as it's attack points!" Gongenzaka declares, shocking Yaiba.

"Alright! With this my defense is set up." Gongenzaka thinks as he looks at his hand.
"I end my turn with that!" Gongenzaka says.
"My turn, Draw!" Yaiba begins his turn.

"When Boggart Knight is successfully summoned I can Special Summon one Level Four or lower X-Saber Monster! Come forth! XX-Saber Ragigura!" Yaiba calls.

"When Ragigura is successfully summoned I can add one X-Saber monster from my Graveyard to my hand! I return Faultroll to my hand! Faultroll can be Special Summoned when I control two or more X-Sabers on my Field!" Yaiba declares.
XX-Saber Faultroll (LV.6) (2400ATK/1800DEF)
The children are unimpressed by the repeated Special Summon and annoyed since Yaiba is practically dueling by himself.
"Faultroll's effect activates! Once per turn I can Special Summon a Level Four or lower X-Saber monster from my Graveyard! Return to us! Tuner Monster XX-Saber Fulhelmknight!" Yaiba says, turning the children's annoyance into horror.
"That's right! I Tune the Level Six Faultroll with the Level Three Fulhelmknight! Let your Silver armor shine and crush the hope of everything that opposes you! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 9! XX-Saber Gatmuz!" Yaiba chants as another Gatmuz appears.
XX-Saber Gatmuz (LV.9) (3100ATK/2600DEF)
"No way.. the Gatmuz he had just defeated..!" Yuzu says horrified.
"But Gatmuz only has 3100 attack points, he's no threat to Big Benkei!" Yuya says.
"You've got that right!" Yaiba says as he sprints away, swinging his wooden katana to displace an action card.
"But this will decide what happens! Alright! I activate the Action Magic, Extreme Sword! During the Battle Phase it increases the attack points of one monster by 1000!" Yaiba declares as he activates the action card and Gatmuz sword grows bigger.
XX-Saber Gatmuz (LV.9) (3100 - 4100ATK/2600DEF)
"This is the real charm of Action Duels! Battle Phase! I attack Big Benkei with Gatmuz!" Yaiba orders.
"Big Benkei was.." Yuzu says worried.
"But since Big Benkei was in defense mode he won't take any damage even if it is destroyed!" Yuya reassures her.
"You're too naive! I activate the Trap, Meteorain! This allows my monster to deal piercing damage this turn!" Yaiba tells them as he activates his trap.
"I'll have you take 600 points of damage!" Yaiba tells Gongenzaka.
Gongenzaka: 1500 - 900 LP
When the smoke of the attack clears Big Benkei is still on the field though.
"Wh.. Why?!" Yaiba asks seeing he failed to destroy it.
"When Big Benkei was attacked I sent Superheavy Samurai Soul Fire Armor from my hand to the Graveyard! By doing so, for the rest of this turn, it negates the destruction of one Level Five or higher Superheavy Samurai!" Gongenzaka explains.
"So you sacrificed your hand to protect your ace then?" Yaiba says in slight annoyance.
"But the monster whose destruction was negated has its defense points lowered by 800!" Gongenzaka says.
Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei (LV.8) (1000ATK/3500 - 2700DEF)
Yaiba swings his katana again and displaces another action card. But seeing it flies toward Gongenzaka he curses and runs toward it.
Tatsuya and Futoshi yell at Gongenzaka to get the card but
"I will not move." Gongenzaka simply says, shocking them.
"Then it's all mine!" Yaiba says as he catches the card.
"Alright! I'm lucky today! Time to activate the Action Magic, Extreme Sword again! Souza's attack points increase by 1000!" Yaiba says, as Souza's swords grow larger.
X-Saber Souza (LV.7) (2500 - 3500ATK/1600DEF)
"I attack Big Benkei with Souza!" Yaiba says, as his monster strikes Big Benkei.
"Because of Soul Fire Armor's effect Big Benkei's destruction is negated!" Gongenzaka says.
"But you will still be taking damage from Meteorain's effect! This time it's 800!" Yaiba reminds him.
Gongenzaka: 900 - 100 LP
Gongenzaka gets thrown to his back by the blast while his friends gasp in horror.
"And the monster that had it's destruction negated by Soul Fire Armor has it's defense points decreased by 800 too, right?" Yaiba adds.
Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei (LV.8) (1000ATK/2700 - 1900DEF)
"Yeah, but when the Battle Phase ends Souza and Gatmuz's attack points return to normal." Gongenzaka says as he gets up, and the swords of Yaiba's monsters return to their original size.
X-Saber Souza (LV.7) (3500 - 2500ATK/1600DEF)
XX-Saber Gatmuz (LV.9) (4100 - 3100ATK/2600DEF)
"Looks like you held out using the effect of the monsters in your hand... for such a big guy those are some small-minded tactics!" Yaiba muses.
"That's just how my Dack that I believed in saved me!" Gongenzaka says.
"Well then this will put an end to those cunning tricks! I release Boggart Knight to activate Gatmuz's effect! I send one card in my opponent's hand to the Graveyard!" Yaiba says, as his monster turns into a beam that turns one of Gongenzaka's cards purple and forces him to discard it.
"I'll have you throw away that last one too! I release Ragigura and activate Gatmuz's effect again!' Yaiba says as the same thing happens again, reducing Gongenzaka's hand to zero.
"With that your hand is at zero. Now you've got nothing you can do. I set one card and end my turn." Yaiba says as his facedown appears.
"What should he do? If this keeps up Gongenzaka will definitely loose!" Ayu says panicking.
"If he had just taken that Action Card..." Tatsuya says.
"Yeah! Why didn't he go for it?! It's so weird it's giving me the shivers!" Futoshi asks.
"No, this is fine. This is how he Duels." Yuya says getting their attention.
At that she remembers a time when she was younger, when Gongenzaka told her that dueling is to fight while believing in your Deck and that when betting on action cards you never know what you'll get, because no matter how many times you get it right, one wrong move can decide the whole duel. Yuya exclaims that not knowing what you're going to get makes it more exciting, and questions how he fights with a deck full of monsters. He replies that the deck is the Gongenzaka Style's Steadfast dueling and that he will show her that by believing in this deck he can win.
"Gongenzaka, I can feel yours and your monsters resolve, so with your Steadfast Dueling that you believe in make it through this battle!" Yuya thinks.
"My turn! Draw!" Gongenzaka starts his turn.

"This monster can be equipped to a Superheavy Samurai monster and increase its defense points by 1200!" Gongenzaka explains as his monster is equipped onto Big Benkei.

"To think you drew a monster that would give you a power up, you're one lucky bastard!" Yaiba says.
"I didn't draw this card with luck.. my Deck understood my determination! Battle Phase! I attack X-Saber Souza with Big Benkei!" Gongenzaka declares as Souza is blown to bits.
Yaiba: 3600 - 3000 LP
"Now you've done it you stubborn bastard! I activate the Trap, Gatmuz's Emergency Orders! If there is a face-up X-Saber monster on the field this card allows me to Special Summon two X-Saber monsters from the Graveyard! Be reborn! X-Saber Souza! Ragigura!" Yaiba says as his monsters revive.
X-Saber Souza (LV.7) (2500ATK/1600DEF)
XX-Saber Ragigura (LV.1) (200ATK/1000DEF)
"And with Ragigura's effect Faultroll returns to my hand!" Yaiba explains.
"He finally defeated Souza and he revived him that easily..." Tatsuya says.
"And on top of that he got Ragigura to add Faultroll back to his hand!" Futoshi says.
"Monsters that you can summon whether it's your turn or not... the ability to turn the tides so explosively is what makes X-Saber decks so frightening!" Hokuto comments.
"It's rare to hear you compliment someone else's Deck. Did losing in one turn make you that weak?" Masumi asks him. At that Hokuto whitens again and retreats back to the corner again.
"With his Life points at 100 and his hand at zero Gongenzaka doesn't have a chance to win does he?" Sora questions.
"No, it's not over yet. He hasn't given up yet." Yuya states.
"My turn! Draw!" Yaiba says.

"Hey! You remember this card don't you?" Yaiba asks, as he shows Gongenzaka the Faultroll card.
"XX-Saber Faultroll... When you have two or more X-Saber monsters on your Field it can be Special Summoned." Gongenzaka says.
"That's right. And since I have two or more on the Field, I can Special Summon Faultroll!" Yaiba says as he summons the card.

"With that I activate Faultroll's effect! Once per turn I can Special Summon one Level Four or lower X-Saber monster from my Graveyard! Be reborn! Tuner Monster XX-Saber Fulhelmknight!" Yaiba declares.

"If he's got Fulhelmknight and Faultroll on his field then that means..." Yuya says, realizing what is about to happen.
"You got it! I Tune the Level Six Faultroll with the Level Three Fulhelmknight! It's a double showing of the X-Saber's strongest, Gatmuz! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 9! XX-Saber Gatmuz!" Yaiba declares as another Gatmuz appears.
XX-Saber Gatmuz (LV.9) (3100ATK/2600DEF)
"At this moment I use Souza's ability to release Ragigura! Your face has 'Why did he do it' written all over it! You'll find out soon enough! Battle Phase! I attack Big Benkei with Souza!" Yaiba declares.
"Why would he when Souza has the lower attack points?" Tatsuya questions.
"By releasing one X-Saber monster, Souza gains the effect to destroy any monster it battles this turn! This time I'll be taking out that ace monster you've been so stubbornly defending!" Yaiba says.
"I activate Soul Great Wall's effect! By sending this card to the Graveyard I can negate an attack on the equipped monster and its defense points become 0!" Gongenzaka declares as Souza's blades dig into the ground.
Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei (LV.8) (1000ATK/3100 - 0DEF)
"Damm it! But even if you negated one attack, without its defense points it's nothing! I'll reduce your life points to shreds with my two Gatmuz!" Yaiba says.
"I attack Big Benkei with the first of my Gatmuz's!" Yaiba declares but
"That's what I was waiting for! I activate Superheavy Samurai Soul Break Armor's effect from the Graveyard!" Gongenzaka declares.
"What you activated it from the Graveyard!? That card can't be..!" Yaiba says in disbelief.
"That's right! This is one of the cards you sent from my hand to the Graveyard with Gatmuz's effect! This card shows its true strength when it's in the Geaveyard! When there are no Magic and Trap cards in my Graveyard, by banishing it I can deal the difference of the current and original defense points of an attacked monster to my opponent as damage!" Gongenzaka explains.
"What?!" Yaiba says in shock.
"Big Benkei's original defense points are 3500. And now he is at 0! So that means 3500 points of damage... Gongenzaka will win!" Tatsuya, Futoshi and Ayu realize.
"No way.." Sora says, floored to the point he drops his lollipop to the ground, where it breaks.
"The conditions to pull off this comeback were having no Magic or Trap cards in his Graveyard. That's why Gongenzaka didn't use any Magic and Trap cards when he made his deck only with monsters!" Yuya explains, shocking the LDS students.
"A deck constructed only with monsters!?" Masumi exclaims in disbelief.
"That's beyond crazy!" Hokuto says as he gets up.
"I see, and your reason for not taking the Action Card was all for this." Yaiba understands.
"That's right! Since Action Cards count as Magic Cards. Do you see it now! This is the true strength of Steadfast Dueling!" Gongenzaka says, as Soul Break Armor fires four red orbs at Yaiba.
"You made some pretty interesting plays! I activate the Quick-Play Magic, Saber Reflector from my hand! When there is a X-Saber monster on the field I can negate an instance of effect damage! And the negated damage is dealt to my opponent! This is the end!" Yaiba says as the blast is blocked and a blue stream is fired at Gongenzaka.
"I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Soul Big Bang from my Graveyard!" Gongenzaka says right before the blast connects.
"Another card I sent to the Graveyard!?" Yaiba asks shocked.
"When there are no Magic and Trap Cards in my Graveyard by banishing this card, I can negate damage from an opponent's card effect!" Gongenzaka says as Sou Big Bang appears and absorbs the blast.
"You negated the damage that I reflected!?" Yaiba exclaims shocked.
"That's not all, furthermore it destroys all monsters on the field... and deals the total levels of the destroyed monsters times 100 as damage to both players!" Gongenzaka explains, shocking everyone.
"Their total levels are 33... !" Yaiba says.
"That's 3300 points of damage!" Gongenzaka confirms, as Soul Big Bang explodes, wiping out everything.

Draw
"This is.. a draw?" Futoshi and Ayu say.
"Gongenzaka!" Yuya says as she rushes to check on him.
"Are you okay? Keep it together!" she says a she helps him up.
"I'm sorry, even with the Gongenzaka Style Steadfast Dueling I couldn't defeat him." Gongenzaka says.
"What're you saying! It's thanks to you we managed to get a draw, Gongenzaka! You showed me the strength of the Deck that you believed in!" Yuya encourages him.
"The result of the Best of Three is one win, one loss and one draw. Chairwoman Akaba, you said you said you would take this Duel School if you won the Best of Three. But the result was a draw, I kindly ask you to leave." Shuzo says.
"What do you think you're saying? This was a Duel to settle everything, there can be no draws!" Himika replies.
"Um, yes but the Duel actually did end in a draw though." Shuzo points out.
"A Tie-Breaker! We will Duel with our two Duelists that have one victory. That's fine with you isn't it." Himika says, to which Shuzo tries to protest.
Yuya and Gongenzaka come back, with Yuya now wearing her goggles, and Yuzu getting worried about her expression.
"It seems that you're up for it. Well then we shall..." Himika says before she is interrupted.
"Wait!"
At that Reji steps out from behind the wall and lowers his hood.
"I'll put an end to this." Reji says, as Yuya turns toward him and they stare at each other.
