On top of the apartment building that Loona and Blitzo lived in. Everyone was present, including Tommy and Celeste. Cody was nervous, not because his brother and sister-in-law were watching, but because this is an apartment roof and this looked a little unsafe. The only reason why they were doingthiswas because it was Blitzo's idea. "Ok, Blitzo, we're going back where he was practicing before." said Loona.
"Ugh. Fine. Just thought it would be easier to do it here than on Earth."
"For you, yeah." said Tommy. "But for Cody? No. Not so much for him." So Blitzo created a portal with his crystal, and they all set through to the grassy field they were at before. "Ah, this is much better."
"So, come on, show us what you can do." Said Moxxie to the boy. "We won't laugh."
"Yeah, it'll look fucking epic!" Millie sounded excited.
"You can do it, Cody." Loona encouraged him.
Taking in a small breath, Cody looked at the sky, and said: "ok." He hovered himself and tried flying in the air once more. Yes, he was foing rather well right now. No loss of balance or strong wing to stop him.
Flying around in circles, Cody used his new raptor-vision to look at what was on the ground below him. There were many wonderous things that were happening that a human wouldn't notice. One was a family of sparrows hanging out in a nearby tree in their nest. Another was; a raccoon ravaging on an empty can of beans.
Finally, he saw a black bear climbing a tree and doing his best to get a large honeycomb filled with bees. He wished that his human form had something like that."
"Good job, Cody!" Celeste called down to him
"You're doing good, kid!" Tex encouraged him
Hearing them made Cody smile and continued flying around in circles. Suddenly, something charged at him. It was a black crow woth feathers as black as oily soot, and it had a look of hatred in its eyes. Luckily, Cody dodged and the passerine missed
"Hey! What is wrong with you?!" Cody shouted in anger.
"Uh-oh." Blitzo noticed. "Some other bird's attacking him." He pulled out one of his gokden flintlocks. "I'll take care of this."
"No!" Millie laid one hand on the imp's right arm. "This is Cody's fight, sir."
"They do look the same size." Loona pointed.
Not wanting to hurt the crow, Cody got an idea. He dodged another swooping charge from the passerine and lured him to Loona, who held the bird in her clutches and gave the crow a frightening angry face, making the black passerine look mortified and flew away cawing.
"Thanks Loona."
"Don't mention it, Cody."
"You're doing good, buddy." Tommy smiled. "You're a fast learner."
"Heh. I wouldn't say that." Cody admitted. "Besides, i don't think that crow would have gone easy on me."
"that's just the cruelty of nature, I'm afraid." Blitzo crossed his arms. "It's survival of the fittest. Though I can't remember who said that."
"Charles Darwin." Misty pointed
"Yes! Exactly!"
"can i hug you again, Cody?" said Misty, holding out her arms just waiting to hold her boyfriend in her arms.
"Well... not right now, Misty." Cody replied. "Not in front of them."
"Fine. I'll wait." Misty pouted. The sound of a gunshot was heard and Cody barely dodged a bullet by moving to the left while in midair.
"What the fuck was that?!l" Moxxie exclaimed.
"Pardon me folks." Said a male voice. It was a sleazy-looking gentleman with rich hunting gear and a sniper rifle in his hands. "That's a darling falcon you have there. I'll give you fifteen-thousand dollars for the bird."
"Cody is not for sale, fucker." Loona said. "Now fucking get lost!"
"Look, i am an avid collector. Everything has a price." Said the hunter.
"No means no, buddy." Blitzo looked impatient.
"How about fifty-thousand so i can sell him to China."
At last, having enough with this greedy hunter, Millie threw some hot chocolate in the man's face, making him scream in agony and falling to his knees and his gun dropped from his hands.
The next thing that happened was Moxxie walking up to the stunned rich asshole, and using a knife to rip the man's eyes out, making him scream even louder.
At last, Tex gave him the finishing touch by ripping his arms off, and making the rich snob yell at tve top of his lungs like a pig about to be slaughtered, making him bleed to death within five minutes.
"Who was that guy?" asked Loona.
Searching and looting the body, Misty looked at the guy's wallet and it revealed to he Braxis Knotworth. A man who has good dealings with the black market. "Good riddance to you, asshole." Misty said at the man's body. "No one tries to kill my boyfriend and gets away with it!" Then she spat on the snob's corpse.
"looks like this guy got put out of work." Said Blitzo. "Poachers. Pah! The only good poacher is a dead one."
"We can't just leave him out here." said Cody. "People will be looking for him."
"Right..." Loona realized. Tex carried the hunter's body with him and found a good spot. There was a bear cave in front of a hilly cave, and after they out the corpse down in front of the entryway, a large black bear appeared and sniffed the hunter's corpse. As expected, the omnivore began eating the rest of the dead body. It wasn't long before the bear's dace was coveted in blood. Gruesome but rather poetic justice against this greedy, evil man.
"Maybe we can keep this rifle for safekeeping." Moxxie picked the poacher's weapon up and was amazed at how shiny it was.
"Good idea honey." Said Millie. "The more firepower, the merrier."
"Normally, i am against looting," said Tommy, "but let's see if he has anything else on him." The wallet contained the fucker's hunting license and a cheque of five whole grand. "Ooh, look at how much money this guy has."
"Five grand?" said Blitzo in surprise. "I think you should keep that cheque. Who knows what five grand will give ya?"
"Zer is a place that me and Tommy wanted to go on our honeymoon." Celeste pointed. "Ze palais de Centrale with fine dining and a beautiful view of the beachside in Calais."
"Not a bad idea, honey." said Tommy. "The resort it is."
Suddenly, Blitzo's phone rang and it was the Goetia prince himself. "Hey hey Stolas, what's going on?" he paused as his owl love interest talked to him. "Oh fuck yeah! The antidote is ready?" he smiled. "Oh yeah, i get it, it took longer than you thought. But hey it's done now. We'll be over there in a few minutes." to Cody he added, "Good news kiddo. The antidote is up and ready!"
"Finally!" said Cody in excitement.
In the manor, Stolas looked more than happy on his face to reveal the antidote to the human-turned-falcon. It looked sparkling green and in a glass bottle that looked like a potion bottle from the Legend of Zelda series. "Here you are, Cody." said the bird demon in a sing-song voice. "My sincerest apologies for taking longer than i thought it would be, but it's done. And to add a little more flavor, i added a green apple Jolly Rancher to it as a final touch."
Cody clapped his wings in excitement. "yay!" he exclaimed as he landed on the ground in front of his cohorts. The Goetia Prince gently gave the boy the ancient-looking bottle and he firmly grasped it with his wings so he wouldn't break it and spill the juice. The smell of this elixir was sour, a little similar to green apple, but he slowly lifted the bottle and drank three gulps of it. For a few seconds, the kid felt indifferent, and something miraculous happened.
He felt something weird going on in his head and a large glowing green light appeared around him. Everyone looked concerned and Octavia grasped the potion bottle before it could break on the floor.
At first, Cody felt some pain but then he felt something... soothing and calming in himself as he was getting old feelings as a human being. About ten seconds have passed and the light faded, revealing Cody back to his human form, gently clasping with his eyes closed.
"Cody?" said Loona, "Are you ok?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." the boy looked at his hands and he smiled, happy to see that he is a human again. However, he shrieked when he saw that he was... in his birthday suit, covering his unmentionables. "I'm naked! Nobody look!"
"Don't worry, i recovered your clothes." Octavia chuckled before giving them to the human boy. As soon as he put on his clothes, he felt Misty hug him.
"I'm so glad you're back to normal, Cody." his girlfriend said. "That means i can do this again." to his surprise, Cody felt his lips kissed by Misty for a few seconds, making him blush. Loona couldn't help but take a picture of that on her phone
