The days go by, nothing extraordinary happens. In the morning we get up and have breakfast together, we read Percy's books until lunch. We have lunch and go back to reading. Well, this routine was there until two days ago, I was getting really bored. Don't get me wrong, I love reading, but for days and days just reading is boring. This routine has to end, and it ends today.

I sigh loudly. I get up from the center of the sofa, between Creed and Percy.

"Guys" I call them, they raise their heads, their attention is on me.

"Please can we find another activity besides reading?" I ask plaintively.

The older ones look at each other uncertainly, Creed meets my gaze, questioning and interested, hoping to liven things up. He too could use a change of activity.

"Why on earth? Reading is educational and increases your culture." Gellert says all disheveled and indignant.

"It's very calming." Percy agrees, nodding at what Gellert said.

I look at Creed again, shocked and incredulous.

"I love reading, but we've done nothing but read for days and days. The only exciting thing at this point is food." I say in exasperation,

Credence nods slightly.

"I don't know. Let's go see a movie at the cinema. Or take a walk, play cards…" I stop slightly.

"Did they invent cinema in the 1920s?" I ask, puzzled.

"What is cinema?"

Gellert looks uncertain as he savors the new word.

"It's a Muggle thing."

I try to remember if I've read anything in the future that says when they started showing movies. 'Wait!' I've read something about it. I once looked up movies from the 1920s out of curiosity. They were all about love, even if you can't call it that, but erotic. It doesn't seem like the right time or place. Credence would be uncomfortable, he would actually melt on the spot, and the others wouldn't be very comfortable. We should skip this time.

"Maybe movies are a no."

Credence who until a moment ago seemed intrigued, is now puzzled by the abrupt change of direction.

"Creed, in the future I did some research on movies in the 20's, and they weren't exactly something you would feel comfortable with..."

It only seems to bring more confusion to him.

"Movies are about sex" I say softly watching his reaction.

His cheeks heat up, and redden, as do his ears and neck, he looks away from me, looking at the wall or the floor. I see a look of desire, curiosity and interest but it disappears as quickly as it appeared. What replaces it is repulsion, towards himself, his own thoughts, his own desires, he seems disgusted by his own skin.

"I think it's a firm 'no' to the movies, for a long time." Percy speaks, still on the couch with Credence, he approaches the boy with a hand on his shoulder in a sign of comfort. He jumps slightly at the unexpected, unseen touch, having never received comfort from the one who was supposed to give it to him.

That abominable woman!

Creed doesn't move away from the touch, he accepts it.

Gellert coughs, attracting our attention.

"Maybe we could go out, eat; we could teach you wizard chess or some other game."

I accept immediately and after calming down Creed nods too. Percy agrees.

In the end we go to the park and have a picnic. Gellert tries to teach me wizard chess. I barely managed to learn a strategy, I'm more instinctive than strategic. 'I don't even know how to play Muggle ones, but he doesn't have to,' I think, chuckling to myself. Credence seems to be more adept, he's learned some pretty good attack and defense strategies.

I watch Gellert and Percy play, looking at each other trying to figure out the other's move. I move my gaze to Creed who is next to Percy, their legs touching. Credence's face is relaxed, relaxed and peaceful, he breathes softly enjoying the contact.

He looks at their legs touching, he turns towards me looking at me, a question in his eyes.

'Is it okay?' His eyes ask, softly, doubtfully.

I soften my gaze, I try to send him all the warmth, peace, joy and my acceptance, the love I have for them with my eyes. Just with a look.

It's shit. Surprise lights up his face, he seems surprised by my consent. Excitement emerges, surprising me, instead. 'I would like to kiss him' I think, indecent and frustrated.

I stop those thoughts. Credence still has trouble accepting a simple touch even for comfort, I can't and don't want to impose myself and rush things, neither for him nor for Percy.

We stay another two hours or so and go back home.

On December 10th, we all gather at Percy's house to talk and make a plan to save Nagini in Paris.

Around 10 in the morning, Tina, Newt, and immediately behind them, Jacob and Queenie knock on the door.

They make themselves comfortable; Jacob and Queenie on one sofa, on the other there are me, Percy and Creed, in the armchair to our right there is Gellert who has his back to the kitchen and finally in the armchair with his back to the door sits Tina with Newt on the armrest.

We exchange greetings and some pleasantries, what we have done these days, if everyone is well, formalities.

"Well, after these greetings let's get to the point." Gellert says casually, diverting from the banalities.

"Do any of you have a plan?"

He asks

We all look at each other, waiting for someone to speak, even if they say something stupid, basically.

It's always Gellert who offers the first suggestion.

"We kidnap her." he says casually, nonchalantly.

"Sure, we gag her and tie her up too," I snort at the suggestion indignantly.

"I think it's better to talk to her," Newt speaks

"I don't think it'll work. The circus won't let us near her." I sigh

"Then we'll give them something to distract themselves with, and in the chaos we'll free the girl."

All eyes go to Jacob, who seems slightly embarrassed under our gazes, I cheer elatedly.

"You're a genius, Jacob!"

I stand up from my seat and let my hand rest on his shoulder, the one that's not occupied by Queenie.

"Thank you" I nod looking into his eyes and tighten my grip on his shoulder slightly and walk away going back to my seat.

I stiffen slightly. 'Oh God, I got carried away again, I don't want Queenie to think anything. Jacob is a friend.

And he will be for a long time so much so that he will become family together with everyone in this room' I think horrified at myself.

I get lost in my head, in my terror of having hurt my friends. Thoughts of how stupid and unrestrained I am, disgust with myself and my need for human contact; I can feel Jacob's, Queenie's aversion to me, to what I've done.

I feel alienated from my own body, I can see and hear the others, but it comes out muffled, as if I were underwater, I understand what they are saying but I can't process it, I feel like I'm a spectator in my own head.

PERCY'S POV

Sara sits back down between me and Credence after thanking Jacob. 2 seconds after settling between us she stiffens like violin strings. She looks first at Jacob and then Queenie, horror and terror etched into her features.

Time passes, seconds become endlessly tense minutes, but the situation doesn't change, in fact it gets worse.

Her eyes blur, as if she were no longer here, they seem terribly empty, her breath comes out in a shallow, gasping pant.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to, please, I'm sorry!"

She whispers frantically, like a litany.

"Sara" I call

"Sara" Credence calls too

I try to shake her gently, there is no reaction from her.

I look at Credence and see what I am feeling too: panic, helplessness and desperation. I try to shake her harder. Still no reaction.

Finally it is Gellert who wakes me.

Worried as I am for her I have not noticed the state of the others. Queenie is on the couch with Jacob, curled up in herself and Jacob.

Her hands to her head, clearly in pain. Jacob's arms surround her like a shield, but he does nothing for her pain.

"Her mind…Aaaa!" Queenie tries to say, but is blocked by her own cry of pain. She steels herself and tries again.

"She's in total chaos…. The contempt, the fear, the disgust for herself." She stops, trying to get the words out.

"All because she was too tactile…. because that's how she is"

She tries to get up "Queenie what…" Jacob tries to ask, holding her by his arms, she doesn't even let him finish the question that she tries to get up again, successfully this time.

"She's terrified that Jacob has hurt me, has hurt us. Her thoughts are so self-destructive. She thinks we're disgusted by her, that we'll hate her." She seems so shocked, but she doesn't give in and with determination she comes towards us, towards Sara.

He gently places his hands on her temples, makes them touch their temples and closes his eyes. Sara does the same reflexively.

A few minutes pass but for us it seems like hours; Everything remains unchanged, they do not move an inch from their positions, neither do we, we remain suspended with the worry that grips us, helpless to do nothing and not to be able to help.

The only thing that changes is Sara's breathing, which calms down and becomes deeper, she seems calmer and more balanced. More minutes pass and, finally, they open their eyes suddenly, in unison.

Sara turns every shade of red I know. Starting a litany of apologies in rapid succession.
