Knock knock
Glenda gets up from her bed and wipes her face before answering the door. She opens it to find Elphaba.
Elphaba: Hey (Elphaba walked in)
Glenda: Why didn't you use your key?
Elphaba: I was going to but I left it at home. Um where is my kid?
Glenda: Oh Fiyero got him from me in town.
Elphaba: Oh he did I'm going to kill him when I see him! You know this is the third time he's done this. (She said walking over to her side of the room)
Glenda: What do you mean? (Glenda is sitting on her bed while Elphaba is looking at some stuff she left behind)
Elphaba: He's been spending a lot of time in town and he's been acting rather...
It was at this moment Elphaba noticed something was wrong.
Glenda is wiping her eyes and trying to play everything off.
Elphaba: Are you okay?
Glenda: Oh yes I'm fine.
Elphaba: You don't seem fine in fact you look as if you have been crying. (Elphaba said coming to sit by her)
Glenda: It's nothing Elphie really. Go on with your story about what's going on with Fiyero.
Elphaba: No not until you tell me what's bothering you.
Glenda: I already told you nothing.
Elphaba: Glenda your my best friend I can tell you're not yourself. Plus your eyes are all red and watery.
Glenda: I was sleeping.
Elphaba: (Looking at the time) Glenda it's 4:30 you and I both know you don't sleep that early.
Glenda: There's nothing wrong with beautyrest Elphie.
Elphaba: Girl stop.
Glenda: Fine so today Boq was helping me watch Liir and ... (Just then another knock at the door)
Elphaba: (getting up to answer the door) Oh Nessa
Nessa: I'm ready to go to your house.
Elphaba: Oh um okay just give me a few minutes.
Glenda: Oh no Elphie you mustn't keep your sister waiting. What I'm about to say isn't a big deal anyway go on with your sister. I will be okay.
Elphaba: Glenda are you sure?
Glenda: YES go spend quality time with your sister you two need it. Go on!
Elphaba: Fine but I will be back first thing in the morning.
Glenda: Yeah yeah! (She closed the door)
Nessa: Is Glenda okay?
Elphaba: I don't think so but I will check on her tomorrow. Is Christopher spending the night too?
Nessa: I don't know he's so shy.
Elphaba: There's nothing wrong with that.
Nessa: Yes I know I'm just ready for him to be comfortable that's all.
Elphaba: I'm sure it won't be long I can tell he really likes you.
Nessa: You really think so?
Elphaba: Definitely (Nessa smiled)
Nessa: Oh look he's been waiting for us by the entrance. Hi Christopher!!! (He ran to grab Nessa's chair from Elphaba)
Christopher: Hi Nessa Rose, I can push her for you Elphaba.
Elphaba: Okay, come on
Back at the house
Fiyero: Okay buddy how does this look? (Liir just bites on his toy Fiyero had given him) You know I can't wait until you start talking. I know your mom is going to be mad but she gotta bear with me on this one. (Just then the front door opened) OH HI BABY!! (Elphaba rolled her eyes and walked past him)
Elphaba: Hi my handsome boy did you miss Mommy today.
Fiyero: I missed you! (Elphaba rolled her eyes)
Nessa: Hey Fiyero...
Fiyero: Oh hey I didn't know we were having company. Come on in.
Nessa: Fiyero this is Christopher. Christopher this is Fiyero.
Christopher: Nice to meet you Prince Fiyero.
Fiyero: Um thanks but you can drop the prince it's just Fiyero.
Christopher: Yes sir
Fiyero: Don't I have class with you?
Christopher: Yes third period you sit in the back and I sit all the way in the front.
Fiyero: Yeah that class isn't really my favorite subject. But I take the best naps there. (Everyone laughed while Elphaba rolled her eyes)
Elphaba: Nessa would you please watch Liir while I go change.
Nessa: Of course (she handed him to her) Hi little guy how I have missed you.
Elphaba: It's so nice to have people I can DEPEND ON!
Fiyero: Hay you can depend on me. Elphaba:Whatever (Elphaba went upstairs)
Fiyero: Excuse me (Fiyero ran behind her upstairs) HAY HAY!!!
Elphaba: WHAT?
Fiyero: Why are you being so mean to me?
Elphaba: Because this is the third time you've done this this week.
Fiyero: I know but it's not like I forgot... Okay maybe I did forget but I had a legitimate reason why.
Elphaba: Oh you did.
Fiyero: Yes I did (Elphaba takes a seat) What are you doing?
Elphaba: I'm listening I'm ready for you to tell me the legitimate reason for why you've been missing all week. It's like you're never home anymore. So I want to hear why I'm waiting.
Fiyero: I can't tell you.
Elphaba: See it's something here not right. Do we need to talk about something?
Fiyero: No baby what I'm working on is going to impact both of us. I just need everything to be right and perfect. That's why I've been spending so much time in town. I just need you to trust me.
Elphaba wanted so badly to stay mad at Fiyero. But her heart wouldn't let her.
Elphaba: Okay I trust you Fiyero.
Fiyero: Thank you baby I love you so much. (He hugged her)
Elphaba: I love you too
