NOTE: Thanks to readers' notice, I fixed some errors during the duel in this chapter.

Chapter 75

Behind The Mask

"You're Cyber Man and Go Onizuka," Reaper realized. "One known as the hero of justice and another formal Charisma Duelist. Though the most accurate description is that of two SOL Tech's lapdogs."

Go Onizuka and Cyber Man grumbled at that remark until one of them talked back.

"Well, I'm honored that you know me," Go smirked, then turned to a more serious look and pointed at him. "Though now you will face us and feel our wrath!"

"Wrath?" Reaper didn't look intimidated. "What can two SOL Tech's lapdogs do against me?"

Cyber Man laid Blue Girl down gently as she was still unconscious. He turned to face Reaper and stood next to Go Onizuka.

Playmaker's group watched from a safe distance without getting noticed.

"Why are both Cyber Man and Go Onizuka here? Isn't both being here bad? Are they here for us?!" Ai said, shivering in fear.

"Calm down, you fool! I don't think they are here for us. They don't seem to have noticed us. They are here for Reaper," Flame reassured.

Gladia watched the situation above from her D-Board with her Ignis partner. "So, it is true that Go Onizuka is a bounty hunter working for SOL Tech now."

"Jackal thinks the fight is not over yet. We will see more duels," Jackal commented.

"We're here to stop you, Reaper and bring you to justice!" Cyber Man answered back.

"I see. Let's see if you can stop me. So, which one of you will challenge me first?" Reaper asked as he jumped off his D-Board and his Dual Disk up.

"We both will challenge you!" Cyber Man stepped forward as he pulled his Dual Disk.

Go Onizuka got out his Dual Disk, too, standing next to Cyber Man.

"What? They're both dueling?!" Blossom Star gasped.

"It's a Master Tag Duel!" Silver Wing exclaimed.

"Ah, I see. So, you both want to be my next victims," Reaper understood. "Very well. I will accept this challenge!"

"Since it's a two-on-one match, my partner and I will share the field, Life Points, and the Graveyard, while you keep your own and take every other turn," Cyber Man said.

"I have no objection in that," Go said.

"Fair enough," Reaper agreed.

"DUEL!" The three shouted.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka vs Reaper

Cyber Man (5) & Go Onizuka (5): 4000 LP

Reaper (5): 4000 LP

"Ah! We should not stand around here," Blossom Star said. "We should help Blue Girl!"

"Wait!" Playmaker stopped her.

"Playmaker, what are you doing?" Blossom Star asked.

"Look over there, Blossom Star." Silver Wing pointed her to Blue Girl.

"Hello boys." Go Onizuka and Cyber Man turned around to see Ghost Girl came out of nowhere and attended to Blue Girl's side.

"You're… Ghost Girl?" Go Onizuka remembered.

"What are you doing here?" Cyber Man asked.

"I am taking Blue Girl with me. You boys take care of things here, alright?" She winked.

"Do whatever you want," Go said.

"Thank you. Please protect her," Cyber Man replied. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt anymore."

Ghost Girl nodded as she carried her sidekick in a bridal style and hopped on her D-Board before she flew away.

"Who was that?" Blossom Star asked.

"That was Ghost Girl, a cyber treasure hunter. She seems to be Blue Girl's ally and now some teacher to her," Playmaker explained.

"Ah teacher?" Blossom Star was puzzled. She wondered what Playmaker meant by this mysterious avatar, Ghost Girl.

The camera bot looked over Cyber Man, Go, and Reaper.

"Amazing, folks! Blue Angel or Blue Girl may have fallen, but Cyber Man and Go saved her in the nick of time and challenged Reaper to a Master Tag Duel!" Kitty exclaimed.

"Though, who was that mysterious female avatar? She took Blue Angel or Blue Girl away somewhere," Mimi pondered aloud.

People in the real world watched with curiosity and cheered for both Go Onizuka and Cyber Man.

"Who knows, but it seems like she is on our side, so now all we have to focus on is cheering both Go Onizuka and Cyber Man!" Kitty stated.

"The rule of the Master Tag Duel is 4 duelists make a partnership, and they duel each other in a two on two, but in this case, it is a two on one, so the duelist who is on their own will take every other turn while the tagged duelists will share the field, Life Points, and the same graveyard."

"Although, I wonder why Go Onizuka is tagging with Cyber Man," Kitty thought aloud.

"True. They did duel each other before," Mimi reminded.

"I wonder why Cyber Man and Go Onizuka are tagging," Soulburner asked. "I remember that they dueled each other."

"There could be three reasons," Playmaker said as he put up three fingers up. "One, they both know Blue Girl or her old persona, Blue Angel. It is normal that they appear and save her; fortunately, they did. Two, they are both working for SOL Tech, so SOL Tech likely ordered them to stop Reaper. Three, they must have come to a mutual agreement."

"Mutual Agreement?" Both Ai and Blossom Star said at the same time.

"What do you mean by mutual agreement, Playmaker?" Silver Wing questioned the duelist.

"They came to some kind of agreement to work together to defeat a common threat," Playmaker answered.

Everyone turned their focus on the duel after Playmaker's answer.

"I will take the first turn! I draw!" Cyber Man shouted, sounding a bit more agitated than usual.

Blossom Star noticed how different Cyber Man looked and sounded. 'Is it just me, or is he looking angry?'

"I will take the first turn and start by summoning Cipher HERO Data-Dog!" A dog with cybernetic enhancements barked at the center-right Main Monster Zone.

Cipher HERO Data-Dog-Level 2, LIGHT, Beast/Effect, 700 ATK, 500 DEF.

"Appear, the circuit of justice!" A link circuit appeared above Cyber Man. "The summoning condition is one HERO monster, except Token. I set Cipher HERO Data-Dog to the Link Marker!"

The heroic canine jumped into the air and into the bottom link arrow. "Link Summon! Appear! Link-1 Xtra HERO Miracle Man!"

Out of the link portal appeared a futuristic male humanoid wearing a white suit with cybernetic gold, green, blue, and red lines and a red visor over his eyes.

Xtra HERO Miracle Man-Warrior/Link/Effect, LIGHT, 1000 ATK LINK-1, Link Arrow: Bottom.

"It's a brand-new Xtra HERO monster," Gladia noticed, then smirked. "I wonder what it can do."

"I activate Cipher HERO Data-Dog's effect! If it is used for Link Summon, I can Special Summon it next to the summoned Link Monster's link marker by reducing its ATK to zero!"

The cybernetic canine returned, barking behind Miracle Man. "If Data Dog's ATK is changed from its original ATK, I can draw 1 card."

Cyber Man (5)

"Miracle Man's effect activates! I can Tribute a Cipher HERO monster I control next to his link to Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Cipher HERO monster with a different name from my Deck. I tribute my Data-Dog." The heroic canine barked one last time before its body faded away. "I Special Summon Cipher HERO Prof. Upload from my Deck!"

A man with a bold head, wearing a dark blue and yellow skintight suit, appeared with a strange halo above his head. He also had red visor lenses for his eyes.

Cipher HERO Prof. Upload-Level 4, LIGHT, Warrior/Effect, 2000 ATK, 800 DEF.

"Then, I activate Prof. Upload's effect! Once per turn, I can reduce his ATK by half to Special Summon 1 HERO monster from my Graveyard, with an increase of 500 points, but its effect is negated. Revive, Data-Dog!"

The heroic cybernetic canine returned, barking happily as it rose from the dead once more.

"Re-appear, my circuit of justice! The summoning condition is two or more Cipher HERO monsters. I set my Cipher HERO Prof Upload, Data-Dog, and Xtra HERO Miracle Man to the Link Markers!"

The three heroes jumped into the air and were absorbed by the top, bottom, and left link arrows.

"Link Summon! Appear, Link-3! Cipher HERO Modusa!" A female superhero in a red costume with a red mask and a vast purple hair appeared. She replaced where Miracle Man was in the right Extra Monster Zone.

Cipher HERO Modusa-Link 3, DARK, Warrior/Link/Effect, 2200 ATK. Link Arrow: Top, Bottom, Left.

"I set three cards and end my turn!" Cyber Man completed his turn, leaving with a Link Monster and three Set cards.

Cyber Man (2): 4000 LP

'A Link Monster and three Set cards. It looks like Cyber Man is preparing for an all-out offense in his next turn. However, that leaves me with only two Spell & Trap Zones to use,' Go thought. 'Though, I've never imagined that we will work together like this… until that day…'

Flashback

Two days ago, Go Onizuka got an approved PTO and decided to visit the orphanage. He wanted to return to defeat Playmaker and Soulburner to do a better job as a bounty hunter, but Akira Zaizen persuaded him to take a break for a day and somehow secured approval from the Queen for just a day.

As much as he wanted to be helpful, this was a good opportunity to meet the kids and catch up with them. It had been a while since he had visited the orphanage. He also took some money to buy gifts, including but not least new toys and snacks for the kids and the orphanage workers.

While thinking about it, he realized he had arrived at the gate. He sighed and showed off with a smile as he opened the gate and went to the front door.

He opened the door with a big smile on his face. "Hello! I am here! It's me. Go!"

When he entered the building, it was quiet for 30 seconds. He felt weird by it. Usually, within just 10 seconds, the children will come running towards him and surround him. Just as he was thinking that, the orphanage lady came.

"Oh Go! Hello," said the lady.

"Long time no see, Miss Yoko!" Go greeted, then asked. "Where are the kids?"

"Oh, they are in the back, playing, but unfortunately…" Miss Yoko said, looking sad.

"What happened? Did something happen?" Go asked further, looking a bit more worried.

"Well, first thing first, how about you come in?" she suggested.

Go did so. He removed his shoes and then headed to the backroom with Miss Yoko, helping him in carrying the gifts.

They opened the backroom, seeing the kids.

"Hey everybody! Look who came to visit us today," Miss Yoko announced.

"Woah! Its Big Bro Go!" All of the kids quickly surrounded him.

"Hey guys! Long time no see! How are you all doing?" Go asked as he padded one of them and two kids were already climbed onto his shoulders, but he wasn't bothered.

"What's been going on lately?" Go asked.

That was when the kids became quiet and looked down, saddened.

Go looked concerned but tried to sound optimistic. "Did something bad happen?"

"It's horrible, Big Bro Go!"

"It's so unfair!"

"It sucks!"

"Hey!" Miss Yoko yelled at the kid who said that.

"What are you guys talking about?" Go asked, looking a bit confused.

"Our field trip was cancelled!" One of the kids answered.

"Field trip?" Go repeated.

"We were supposed to go to the planetarium today," Miss Yoko said. "There was going to be a special virtual show in New LINK VRAINS, so when we arrived there, everyone was supposed to log in to LINK VRAINS to see the show.

"I see. And what happened to it?" Go asked.

"It was canceled due to the recent incidents involving the Reaper." Go's eyes widened. "Due to the planetarium staff being worried about the safety of the visitors and themselves, they put the show on hold until things are much calmer."

"So… That's why you guys are all sad?" Go said.

"Yeah! We cannot even go on to New LINK VRAINS to have fun!" said one kid.

"Even the adults are afraid!" said another.

"Big Bro Go, is there something you can do?" asked another.

"Me… I… um…" A lot was going on in Go's mind, but as he looked at the kid's face, he realized that he had to do something. He closed his eyes and then opened it.

"Don't worry, guys. I will do something about it," Go said.

The kids' looks brightened. "Really, Big Bro?"

"I am positive, or my name is not Go Onizuka, the Number 1 Charisma Duelist!" he declared.

'Hearing the kids' complain and looking at their face made me realize just how much they and other people were affected by Reaper and his antics, but after meeting the kids, that was when I met Cyber Man a little later…'

Later that night on the same day, Go Onizuka returned to SOL Tech. Akira Zaizen called him, but he asked him to meet up on a private server.

Go logged in and there he saw Akira Zaizen and standing by him was Cyber Man.

"I am here. "What's all this about, sir?" Go asked.

"Hello, Mr. Onizuka. I called you and Cyber Man because I want to talk with you guys privately," Akira said.

Go suspected that Akira Zaizen wanted to say something to him and Cyber Man where Queen or others won't listen to them. Perhaps he trusted them the most with Cyber Man and himself.

Go nodded. "You see. Not too long ago, I met my sister."

"Your sister?" Go said. He remembered that Akira has a younger sister.

"My sister…, Blue Angel proposed to me that she has a plan to take down on Reaper," he revealed.

This surprised Go and Cyber Man, but mostly the latter.

"What?! Your sister, Ao… Ah I mean, Blue Angel! It is too dangerous for her to face Reaper!" Cyber Man argued.

Akira and Go Onizuka look a bit shocked to see Cyber Man like this. They have never seen him like this before.

Akira fixed himself. "I understand how you feel, but that is why I bought you two here."

"What do you mean?" Go asked.

"I don't doubt my sister's skill, but I know that even with her current strength, she cannot defeat Reaper." So, I asked you, as the security chief of SOL Tech and her only brother, to watch over and protect her in case something happened to her."

"Mr. Zaizen…" Cyber Man said seldomly, then nodded. "Of course! In the name of justice, I will protect your sister!"

"I don't know about justice, but your sister, Blue Angel, is an alley who fought in the Tower of Hanoi Incident. As a former fellow Charisma Duelist, I will help your sister."

"Thank you both. I know it's cumbersome to ask this, since you both are under contract with SOL Tech and Queen specifically ordered you not to deal with Reaper, but I don't think she understands the magnitude of the situation. Besides, if we can stop Reaper, we could also find out about what had happened to Codebreaker. With this Reaper's incidents, I feel something horrible and suspicious about it."

Go wondered what he meant by being suspicious, but he didn't think too much of it. The only thing he cared about was bringing back the smiles to the children. If it wasn't for Reaper, the children wouldn't be crying and could use LINK VRAINS without any fear or worry.

"Go Onizuka…" Go snapped out of his thought and turned to Cyber Man. "Even though we have our differences, I hope that we can work together."

He offered a handshake to Go. Go looked at it for few seconds until he accepted it. "Same here. I believe we share a similar goal. Reaper has caused enough trouble for everyone, and someone needs to stop him."

"That I agree," Cyber Man said in a serious tone.

Flashback Ends

'After that, we practiced together, coming up with strategy while he continued to do his things on his own time. Cyber Man has worked hard for this moment,' Go thought.

"We have an interesting development underway! After Reaper defeated Blue Girl or Blue Angel, Cyber Man and Go Onizuka arrived at the scene, and they declared a Master Tag Duel!" Kitty announced as more and more people came to watch the duel.

At the same time, the orphans, Miss Yoko, and Go Onizuka's former manager are also watching the duel on TV.

Somewhere in the house, Toshi, also known as Fate Kid, was watching the duel on his laptop in the dark bedroom, alone.

Gladia smirked as she rubbed her chin. "Well, well. This is gonna be very interesting."

"Jackal senses that this is going to be huge. Jackal has not seen Go Onizuka's dueling style in person. Jackal thinks this will be a good learning experience for you, Gladia," Jackal said.

"My turn. I draw." Reaper added a card and then picked two cards. "By discarding one card, I can Special Summon Q# Particle from my hand if my opponent controls a Link Monster."

A monster composed of unknown particles appeared on his side, poised for attack.

Q# Particle -Cyberse/Effect, DARK, 1000 ATK 0 DEF Level: 2

"Since I control a Q# monster on the field while my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can Special Summon Q# Quantum Wyvern from my graveyard!" A dark portal opened on the ground.

Out of the portal, a shadow flew out before it roared. The shadow revealed itself to be a dragon with large black wings for arms, three red eyes that resembled red lenses, with the largest one positioned in the center, two horns that curved upward on its head, and sharp teeth.

Q# Quantum Wyvern-Cyberse/Effect, DARK, 1400 ATK, 1000 DEF, Level 4.

"It's another one of those Q# Quantum monsters! It must have some ability that can support his Q# Xyz Monster!" Ai insisted, looking nervous.

"I don't disagree with that, for once," Flame said.

"Since you control a Link Monster, I can Special Summon Q# Shadow from my hand!" The shadow appeared next to Wyvern.

Q# Shadow – Cyberse/Effect, LIGHT, 0 ATK 0 DEF, Level 4

"Q# Shadow's effect! If my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can Special Summon 1 Q# Token to my side of the field." A single token appeared next to Shadow.

Q# Token -Cyberse/Token, 0 ATK 0 DEF, DARK, Level 4

"Then, I scarifice my Q# Token to summon Q# Digiclops from my hand!" Reaper declared as the token disappeared and a black cyclops with digital eye replaced its spot.

Q# Digiclops - Cyberse/Effect, 2500 ATK, 2000 DEF, Level 8

"When Digiclops is summoned by its own effect, its ATK is reduced and its Level is reduced by half."

Q# Digiclops: 2500 ATK 0 ATK, Level 8 - 4

"Here it comes," Gladia said, already knew what was coming.

"I overlay my Level 4 Q# Shadow, Digiclops, and Quantum Wyvern!" A purple lightning shot out of Reaper's duel disk, summoning a giant X.

His three monsters transformed into purple particles, which the giant X absorbed, and then the red spots on the giant X shot four beams that intersected into a single point, creating a galaxy portal.

Link-Killer Dragon, let your roar echo through the Cyberse realm to showcase your mighty power and lay waste to those who stand in your way! Xyz Summon! Rise, Rank 4!Q# Quantum Dragon!"

His ace dragon appeared, roaring powerfully in the Right Extra Monster Zone on his side of the field.

Q# Quantum Dragon – Cyberse/Xyz/Effect, DARK, 2800 ATK, 2000 DEF, RANK 4 OU: 2. Then, the red spots on the giant X shot four beams that intersected at

"Here is his dragon again! I hope Cyber Man and Go Onizuka know what they are up against," Blossom Star said worriedly.

"Quantum Dragon's effect activates! If it is Xyz Summoned, it can trigger the effects of Q# monsters attached to itself as Xyz Material as if they were its own. I activate the effect of Q# Shadow, so I can Special Summon another Q# Token!"

A new token appeared behind Q# Quantum Dragon.

"Then, I activate Quantum Dragon's other effect! Once per turn, I can detach two overlay units from it, then target one Link Monster on the field and attach it to my dragon." Reaper pointed to the only one Link Monster on the field. "I target your Cipher HERO Modusa!"

"Not so fast!" Cyber Man interrupted. "I've been waiting for you to do this, so I activate my Trap Card, HEX Binding Circle!" One of the three Set cards flipped up revealed a design similar to the Spellbinding Circle, but with a light-blue hexagonal shape in the center featuring Decode Talker in the center.

"When my opponent activates a Cyberse monster's effect that targets a monster I control, I can negate that activation!" The same hexagonal-shaped circle appeared around Quantum Dragon, binding it as if it cried out in pain. "While this card is face-up on the field, you cannot activate your monster's effect, declare it to attack, or change its battle position."

Soulburner looked impressed. "Alright! With that Trap up, Reaper cannot use his dragon at all!"

"Cyber Man and Go Onizuka can Link Summon as many monsters as they want to without worrying about Quantum Dragon's effect," Blossom Star noted.

"This is going well! Go, Cyber Man and Go Onizuka!" Ai cheered.

"That may be, but that Trap Card won't prevent Reaper from using his Rank-Up Magic card on his dragon," Playmaker reminded them. "That card doesn't prevent a card effect that targets Q# Quantum Dragon."

Playmaker was right. While the Trap Card prevents Reaper from using his dragon's effect or making it attack, it doesn't prevent him from using a card effect that targets Quantum Dragon. It also didn't stop him from Tributing his dragon.

"Hmph. I see," Reaper said, unfazed. "I set a card and end my turn."

Blossom Star noticed Reaper's reaction. She wondered why he didn't look worried. It was as if he wasn't bothered by it at all, which made her feel a bit concerned. For now, she ignored the feeling as she continued watching the duel unfold.

Reaper (1): 4000 LP

'It's good that SOL Tech created that Trap Card for us. Since we are dealing with someone like Playmaker, Soulburner, and Codebreaker, who use a Cyberse-type deck, Go thought as he smirked before drawing his card. Now, it's my turn! I draw!"

"I play the Spell Card, Terraforming. This card allows me to add one Field Spell, and I add World Dino Wrestling."

"That's Go Onizuka's important card in his Dinowrestler deck," Flame said.

"Right," Playmaker nodded. "World Dino Wrestling increases Dinowrestler monsters' ATK by 200, and while you control a Dinowrestler monster, each player can attack with only one monster during each Battle Phase."

"That places a limit on the number of times you can attack in a Battle Phase. Then again, Reaper won't be able to use his dragon to attack, anyway," Silver Wing said.

"Next, I Special Summon Dinowrestler Pankratops via its card effect!" An anthropomorphic Triceratops wearing a green mask, purple shorts, and green armor on its forelegs and arms appeared in an attack position directly below Cipher HERO Modusa's bottom link arrow.

Dionwrestler Panktratops – Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH, 2600 ATK 0 DEF, Level 7

Ai raised an eyebrow. "Huh, that's strange. He's not going to play his Field Spell first."

"Usually, he would play it immediately when he gets it in his hand," Playmaker said. "He must be planning to use it for later."

"If the opponent controls more monsters than I, or rather we do, I can Special Summon Panktratops from my hand. Additionally, once per turn, I can Special Summon Dinowrestler Boximoloch from my hand!"

A second anthropomorphic dinosaur dressed in a wrestler outfit appeared. This one resembled a Stygimoloch, a small, bipedal dinosaur characterized by a reddish-brown body and a large, domed skull adorned with bony spikes and horns. This monster wore a dark-green mask, jacket, gloves, and shorts.

Dinowrestler Boximoloch-Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH, 1200 ATK 300 DEF, Level 4

"This monster can be Special Summoned from my hand if I control a Dinowrestler monster on the field," Go said.

"Dinowrestler Panktratops' effect! I can Tribute 1 Dinowrestler monster, then target 1 card you control and destroy it," Go explained, pointing to the set card. "I Tribute Boximoloch to destroy your set card!"

The small dinosaur wrestler disappeared as the card shattered, but that didn't bother Reaper in the least. He was still unfazed.

Why isn't Reaper bothered by that? His set card was destroyed,' Blossom Star thought, looking curious yet worried.

"I Normal Summon Dionwrestler Martial Ankylo!" A third anthropomorphic dinosaur, resembling an ankylosaur, appeared dressed in green wrestling attire and wearing a wrestling belt.

Dinowrestler Martial Ankylo-Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH, 1000 ATK 0 DEF, Level 2

"Battle! I declare Dinowrestler Panktratops to attack your dragon!" Panktratops roared and began running toward Quantum Dragon, its horns extended.

"You're attacking my monster even though yours has 200 less ATK?" Reaper asked.

"That may be, but not for long!" Go replied. "I activate Martial Ankylo's effect! During the damage calculation, if another Dinowrestler monster I control battles a monster, I can send it to the field. Additionally, Panktratops cannot be destroyed by battle, and the ATK of your dragon is halved at the end of the Damage Step.

"But you both still take damage from it," Reaper reminded them.

Panktratops hit Quantum Dragon, but the dragon pushed it back. The shockwave caused both Go Onizuka and Cyber Man to wince slightly.

Cyberman & Go Onizuka: 4000 3800

"Due to Martial Ankylo's effect, Q# Quantum Dragon's ATK is halved!"

Q# Quantum Dragon: 2800 1400 ATK

"I don't understand why you wasted your attack and lost a small Life Point for it," Reaper stated.

"Oh, there is a reason," Go replied. "And here it is! I activate Dinowrestler Boximoloch's effect from my Graveyard! If my Dinowrestler monster battled an opponent's monster, I can banish it and make my Dinowrestler attack one more time!"

Panktratops rammed towards Quantum Dragon again, this time its horns staved right through the dragon's chest. It cried out in agony before exploding, causing Reaper to protect himself from the shockwave, but it caused the crack on his mask to grow bigger.

Reaper (2): 4000 2800 LP

"I end the battle and appear, my circuit!" A link portal appeared above Go Onizuka. "The summoning condition is two Dinowrestler monsters. I set my Dinowrestler Panktratops in the field and Dinowrestler Martial Altir in my hand! This card can be used as material for summoning a Dinowrestler Link Monster if it is in my hand.

Panktratops and the second monster, which resembled an altirhinus, briefly appeared as both monsters were absorbed into the arrows on the portal.

"Link Summon! Appear, Link-2! Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio!" The new Link monster was another anthropomorphic dinosaur, but this one was colored red and white. It wore a red armored outfit with black armor plates for the forearms and legs. It roared on the field as it appeared next to Modusa's bottom arrow.

Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio-Dinosaur/Link/Effect, EARTH, 1000 ATK Link-2, Link Arrow: Top, Left

"When Dinowrestler Martial Altir is sent to the Graveyard for a summon of Dinowrestler Link Monster, I can add one Dinowrestler monster from my deck to my hand," Go Onizuka explained, adding a card to his hand.

"Then, I activate my Field Spell, World Dino Wrestling!" Suddenly, a red fence popped up out of the ground, surrounding the three duelists. Jungle trees also sprouted from the ground, covering the area around the outside of the fence.

"I set a card and end my turn. At this point, Martial Ankylo's additional effect activates! During the End Phase, if this card is sent to the graveyard because it was sent there from the field during this turn, I can Special Summon it but banish it when it leaves the field."

The ankylosaur reappeared as it flexed its muscle next to Terra Parkourio's left link arrow. It was placed in a defense position.

Dinowrestler Martial Anklyo-Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH 1000 ATK 0 DEF, Level 2

Go Onizuka (1): 3800 LP

"Go Onizuka did well in this turn. He destroyed Quantum Dragon and took down almost half of Reaper's Life Points," Soulburner praised the duelist.

"And with his Field Spell, World Dino Wrestling in play, Reaper can only use one monster to attack during each Battle Phase," Flame explained.

"Your ace monster is gone, and you've taken a significant amount of damage to your Life Points. It seems like the Link Killer is just a show," Go ribbed as he smirked.

"You think my ace monster is destroyed?" Go and Cyber Man raised an eyebrow. "My dragon doesn't stay down forever! I activate the Trap Card, Q# Backup Restoration!"

The card displayed Q# Quantum Dragon in particle form being restored on a computer with a USB key inserted. "When a Q# Xyz or Link Monster is destroyed by battle or a card effect this turn while my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can Special Summon it by banishing this card from my Graveyard."

The dragon emerged from the graveyard portal, roaring back at the two duelists from the center of the Main Monster Zone.

Go gritted his teeth. "Tch! So you resurrected your dragon, but even so, it doesn't have any overlay units attached, which means it cannot use its effect!"

"That's true… for now," Reaper replied. "I draw!"

Reaper (2): 2800 LP

He glanced at the drawn card and smirked slightly. "First I play the Spell Card Pot of Greed."

Reaper (3): 2800 LP

Reaper added two cards to his hand. "Now, appear my circuit!"

A portal appeared in the sky above. "The summoning condition is one Q# Quantum monster. I set my Q# Quantum Wyvern to the link marker!" The small dragon with wings for arms flew into the portal's bottom-left arrow. "Link Summon! Rise, Link-1! Q# Quantum Condor!"

A giant gray metallic bird appeared in the right Extra Monster Zone in an Attack Position. It flapped its wings before it landed safely.

Q# Quantum Condor-Cyberse/Link/Effect, 100 ATK LINK 1 Link Arrow: Bottom-Left

"It's that Link Monster that he used against Blue Girl!" Blossom Star exclaimed.

"The same monster he used against Aoi Zaizen," Cyber Man repeated silently, his expression one of distaste at the monster.

"Q# Quantum Wyvern's monster effect! Since it was used as material to summon a Q# Link Monster, I can Special Summon it from my Graveyard!" The dragon with wings reappeared next to Quantum Dragon and below Condor.

"It's time to fight back! Q# Quantum Condor, attack Go Onizuka's Link Monster!" He declared.

"Here it comes!" Cyber Man said.

Go nodded. "Due to the effect of my Field Spell, my Dinowrestler monster gains 200 ATK during the damage calculation. Additionally, I activate Terra Parkourio's effect! If I activate World Dino Wrestling, I can target one Dinowrestler monster in my graveyard and add it to my hand. I add my Dinowrestler Matrial Altir."

Dinowrestler Terra Parkuorio: 1000 1200 ATK

"Q# Quantum Condor's effect! If it battles an opponent's monster while this card points to a Q# Xyz monster, I can attach this card to that monster!"

Condor flew toward Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio, but quickly transformed into a purple orb before flying over to Quantum Dragon.

"Due to the effect of the Field Spell, World Dino Wrestling, I can attack with only one monster during each battle while you control a Dinowrestler monster," Reaper said.

"He is aware of your Field Spell's effect," Cyber Man stated.

"Just figured," Go replied.

"Even so, I can still inflict effect damage!" Reaper exclaimed before choosing a card from his hand. "I play the Quick-Play, Rank-Down-Magic Q# Degrade!"

The card displayed the Q# symbol, which minimized itself in a row with strange blue electrical energy surrounding it.

"Rank-Down-Magic?!" Both SOL Tech's hunters gasped as everyone else was shocked, too.

"R-Rank-Down-Magic?! I thought there was only Rank-Up-Magic card?!" Ai was surprised.

"Holly Obelisk! What is that card?!" Kitty gasped.

"Rank-Down-Magic," Mimi began. "It is a very rare kind of Spell Card that works like a Rank-Up-Magic card, but it does the opposite of what Rank-Up-Magic cards do."

"When I play this card, I can target one Q# Xyz Monster. Then, I Special Summon from my Extra Deck, one Q# monster with a lower Rank than that monster I control, by using it as the Xyz Material," Reaper explained before he pointed to his dragon. "I target my Q# Quantum Dragon to build the overlay network!"

The giant X appeared again. The dragon roared before transforming into purple particles, which were absorbed into the X, and then shot out four beams, creating the galaxy portal. The portal burst out an immense amount of energy.

"When time, space, and energy converge at the zero point, an incredible power is revealed! Rise up! Rank-3! Q# Quantum Beta Dragon!"

The new dragon was a skinnier version of Q# Quantum Dragon. It had horns similar to those of a deer and extended cables that functioned like whiskers.

Q# Quantum Beta Dragon-Cybers/Xyz/Effect, DARK, 2400 ATK 2000 DEF, Rank 3, OU: 2

"It's another Q# Quantum Dragon monster!" Soulburner gritted his teeth.

"Rank-Down-Magic Q# Degrade's effect! Quantum Beta Dragon gains a new effect!" Cyber Man, Go Onizuka, and some of the audience's eyes widened. "When it is Xyz Summoned, I can tribute one Cyberse monster on the field. You are inflicted with damage equal to that monster's original attack!"

Go Onizuka's eyes and Cyber Man's eyes widened. "I tribute my Q# Particle to inflict 1000 damage to your Life Points!" The monster transformed into a particle, which was absorbed into the dragon's mouth as it gathered energy. A second later, the dragon fired an energy ball at the two duelists.

Go and Cyber Man winced as they covered themselves with their arms raised to protect themselves from the shockwave.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 3800 2800 LP

"Their Life Points are equal now," Blossom Star noticed.

"Q# Quantum Beta Dragon's effect! Once per turn, I can detach two overlay units to target one Link Monster on the field and attach it to my dragon." Reaper pointed to the HERO monster. "I target your Cipher HERO Modusa! Link Scan Attach!"

Quantum Beta Dragon wrapped its body around Modusa, causing the latter to scream. The dragon's center eye scanned the hero monster, transforming her into an orb as it then encircled the dragon.

"Now that your monster is part of my dragon, it can inflict damage equal to that monster's original attack!"

"Cipher HERO Modusa's attack is 2200," Flame said.

"Meaning that they will deal with that much damage!" Blossom Star exclaimed.

"Oh no! Now, their Life Points won't be equal but lower than Reaper's!" Ai cried.

Quantum Beta Dragon gathered another energy in its mouth before firing a second energy ball.

Cyber Man emphasized to the field. "Not so fast! Trap activates! HERO Retreat!" The Trap card showed Cipher HERO Speedstar retreating from Lava Golem's lava ball attack that had been thrown at him. "By returning one HERO monster from the field or the graveyard to my Deck, I can negate one instance of effect damage! I return my Cipher HERO Prof. Upload to my deck!"

"That won't work," Reaper interrupted. "When Q# Quantum Beta Dragon activates this effect while my opponent controls a Link Monster, it is unaffected by your Spell and Trap cards!"

"What?!" Cyber Man gasped as his partner, Go Onizuka gritted his teeth.

The energy ball shot at them, causing both duelists to cry out, and flipped over their backs.

"Gah!" They both groaned as they fell on their back.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 2800 600 LP

Everyone, except for Playmaker and Gladia gasped. Kitty, Mimi, and the people in the real world also gasped too.

"Oh no, folks! Cyber Man and Go Onizuka had lost a significant amount of Life Points! They only have less than 1000 Life Points! What can our heroes do in this situation?!" Kitty asked.

"This doesn't look too well for either of them," Mimi commented, sweating.

"I set a card and end my turn," Reaper finished.

Reaper (1): 2800 LP

"Are you two still going to fight? From the look of it, you both looked very worn out. It's best to surrender now, or else you will feel more pain," Reaper goaded.

"Ne-Never!" Cyber Man slowly got back up. "We'll never give up!"

"This is… just nothing!" Go replied as he stood back up, too.

"Hmph. I see. So, the pain will last a little longer," Reaper snickered. "Then bring it on!"

"I draw!" Cyber Man started.

Cyber Man (3): 600 LP

"I play the Spell Card, Pot of Greed!" Cyber Man added two more cards to his hand. "I Normal Summon Cipher HERO Giga-Byte Knuckle!"

A giant Cipher HERO monster with dark green skin and futuristic, cybernetic armor appeared. His eyes glowed in green lights. The hands were equipped with white gloves with yellow orbs on both the top and the palm.

Cipher HERO Giga-Byte Knuckle-Warrior/Effect, EARTH, 2900 ATK, 2100 DEF, Level 8

"Giga-Byte Knuckle can be Normal Summoned without a Tribute if I have lower than 1000 Life Points," Cyber Man said, then played another card. "I play the Equip Spell: Link Rate Blaster!"

Suddenly, a white gun with blue lines and red arrow at the tip materialized in front of Giga-Byte Knuckle as the brut grabbed it.

"I equip this to Giga-Byte Knuckle and activate its effect!" Cyber Man declared. "Once per turn, for every Link Monster on the field, it inflicts 200 damage for every Link Monster's link rating. Since there is only Dinowrestler Terra Parkourio on the field and he is Link-2, you're inflicted with 400 damage!'

Giga-Byte Knuckle aimed the blaster at Reaper and fired an electrical bullet. Reaper got shot through his chest as he winced a bit from it.

Reaper (2): 2800 2400 LP

"Then I declare Giga-Byte Knuckle to attack your dragon! Go and use Giga-Byte Smash!" Giga Byte Knuckle roared as he jumped into the air with his fists raised.

Reaper gestured to his field. "I activate my Trap card, Negate Attack!"

A barrier appeared around Beta Dragon, blocking Giga-Byte Knuckle.

Cyber Man gritted his teeth, but then his partner gestured to the field. "I activate my Trap card, Dino Sense!" Go Onizuka shouted. "If my opponent activates a Trap Card while I control a Dinowrestler Link Monster, I negate the effect of that Trap Card and banish it!"

Negate Attack turned gray before it disintegrated into dust. "Then, you are inflicted with 300 damage for every monster you control!" The Trap card fired a ray of light at Reaper, causing him to shield himself.

Reaper (2): 2400 1800 LP

"And don't forget my monster's attack continues," Cyber Man added. "Go, Giga-Byte Knuckle!"

Giga-Byte Knuckle roared its battle cry as it smashed Beta Dragon into a puddle.

The dragon shattered as Reaper winced from the shockwave, and his mask cracked even more.

Reaper (2): 1800 1300 LP

"I set a card and end my turn," Cyber Man said, before turning to his partner. "Thank you for the help there."

Cyber Man (1): 600 LP

"I only did what I had to," Go replied.

"Wow! That was a nice teamwork!" Soulburner cheered.

"Both Cyber Man and Go Onizuka used a card effect to inflict damage to Reaper's Life Points," Flame commented.

"As long as they work together, there may be hope in defeating Reaper," Blossom Star said, sounding hopeful.

"Yeah. They can win this way!" Silver Wing said.

"You think you've seen the last of my dragon?" Soulburner, Blossom Star, Silver Wing, and Flame raised their eyebrows. "Then you're mistaken! Rank-Down-Magic Q# Degrade's additional effect! I can banish this card to Special Summon one Q# Xyz Monster from my graveyard with its effect negated and add one Rank-Up-Magic card from my deck!"

"What?!" The four people mentioned gasped.

"Resurrect, Q# Quantum Dragon!" Reaper's ace monster reappeared as it roared out of the graveyard portal. "And I add my Rank-Up-Magic Q# Upgrade to my hand."

"Not again! That dragon keeps coming back, and it's getting annoying! Ai complained.

"In his next turn, he will summon Q# Quantum AI Dragon, the upgraded version of his dragon," Playmaker said.

"My turn. I draw," Reaper began.

Reaper (4): 1300 LP

"I Normal Summon Q# Exe Knight!" A black knight with a purple laser beam for its sword and a black shield appeared.

Q# Exe Knight-Cyberse/Effect, DARK, 800 ATK 800 DEF, Level 3

"Appear my circuit of death!" A link portal appeared above Reaper. "The summoning condition is two Q# monsters. I set my Q# Wyvern and Exe Knight to the link markers!"

The two monsters jumped into the bottom-left and bottom-right arrows. "Link Summon! Appear! Link-2! Q# Quantum Webgumo!"

A giant black spider with glowing purple lights over its futuristic-looking body and red lenses for its eyes appeared as it screeched in the Extra Monster Zone. Each leg ends with a sharp red needle.

Q# Quantum Webgumo-Cybers/Link/Effect, DARK, 500 ATK, Link-2, Link Arrow: Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right

"A new Link-2 Q# monster?" Blossom Star said.

"Since I control a Q# monster while my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can Special Summon Q# Quantum Wyvern from my Graveyard." The dragon with wings came back to the field in Defense Position.

"Q# Quantum Webgumo's effect! If it is Link Summoned while my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can target that monster and attach it to a Q# Xyz Monster I control that this card points to. The monster I target is Dinowrestler Terra Parkuorio!"

Quantum Webgumo shot a purple spiderweb that tangled Terra Parkuorio. The dinosaur tried to untangle the web, but it was too sticky to get out. Webgumo dragged the link monster to its side and transformed it into a purple orb before encircling Quantum Dragon.

"Then, I play my Rank-Up-Magic Q# Upgrade!" Reaper gestured to the field as his dragon entered the galaxy portal, and an energy explosion erupted from it. "Evolve my Link-Killer Dragon! Let your roar echo through the Cyberse Realm to make your enemy aware of your presence! Rank-Up Xyz Evolution! Rise, Rank 5! Q# Quantum AI Dragon!"

The upgraded form of Quantum Dragon appeared, roaring powerfully in the Linked Zone, causing some distortion in the virtual air of the New LINK VRAINS.

"When I use my Rank-Up Magic to summon a monster, it is attached to it as a material," Reaper said, then pointed to his Link Monster. "Q# Quantum Webgumo's additional effect activates! When I summon a Q# Xyz Monster next to its link arrow, it is also attached to that summoned monster, and it gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn!"

Q# Quantum AI Dragon – 2900 3900 ATK

"Just how many cards can it attach itself to?!" Ai exclaimed.

"Then, I activate Quantum AI Dragon's effect!" Reaper declared. "If it is Xyz Summoned, I can Special Summon 1 Link Monster from either player's Extra Deck, but since I summoned it using Q# Quantum Dragon as its material, I can Special Summon one from the graveyard instead! I Special Summon Cipher HERO Modusa and you take control of that monster until my next Standby Phase."

The female hero returned to Cyber Man's side, although Cyber Man didn't like it, as he knew where this was going.

"Then, I detach two overlay units from my dragon, so that I target your Link Monster and attach it to my dragon!" Quantum AI Dragon scanned Modusa with its eye ray beam, transforming her into a purple orb. "With that, my dragon can now attack multiple times equal to to the attached Xyz Material's Link Rating."

"Since Cipher HERO Modusa is Link-3 monster, that means it can attack three times," Cyber Man said, gritting his teeth.

"That's right!" Reaper replied. "However, just one attack is enough to finish both of you! Battle! I declare Q# Quantum AI Dragon to attack Cipher HERO Giga-Byte Knuckle!"

"I activate my Equip Spell Link Rate Blaster's effect!" Cyber Man gestured with his hand. "I can send this card to the graveyard to negate the destruction of my monster in battle and reduce the damage from that battle by half!"

Q# Quantum AI dragon fired its attack at Giga-Byte Knuckle. Knuckle crossed his arms to protect himself. He groaned in pain but withstood the attack.

Cyber Man also did the same pose as he withstood the damage.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 600 100 LP

"Hmph. Persistent pest," Reaper grumbled before he picked a card. "I attack again!"

Quantium AI was charging up a second attack when Cyber Man pointed to a card on his side. "I activate the Trap Card, Call of the Haunted! With this, I Special Summon a monster from the Graveyard."

"So what? It won't matter if you bring back one monster from your graveyard," Reaper countered.

"It will matter," Cyber Man argued back. "That's because I bring back Dinowrestler Panktratops!"

The anthropomorphic triceratops in a green outfit appeared as it roared and flexed.

"Wait? Why would Cyber Man summon Go Onizuka's Dinowrestler monster?" Blossom Star asked.

"I know why," Playmaker said.

"Why would you bring that… wait a second," Reaper realized it.

Go smirked. "It's too late for you to realize it! Would you want to do the honor, Cyber Man?"

"Certainly," Cyber Man replied. "Dinowrestler Panktratops' effect! I Tribute one Dinowrestler monster, then target 1 card you control and destroy it! I Tribute Dinowrestler Martial Ankylo to destroy Q# Quantum AI Dragon!"

Panktratops rammed towards the dragon as it charged its attack. The Dinowrestler pierced through the dragon's chest, causing it to stop gathering energy in its mouth, and it made it groan in pain before it exploded.

Reaper gritted his teeth under his mask. Panktratops' effect is a Quick Effect, allowing it to be activated even during my turn."

"Now that is great teamwork! Cyber Man used Go Onizuka's monster effect to stop Reaper's Xyz monster's attack and destroy it!" Kitty stated.

"A brilliant play from Cyber Man," Mimi commented.

"I set a card and end my turn," Reaper said.

Reaper (1): 1300 LP

"Since you end your turn, I activate Ankylo's effect during this End Phase! I Special Summon it!" Ankylo returned to the field as it proudly flexed and roared.

"This is going great! Even though they were holding on with just 100 Life Points, they still countered Reaper in every way possible. Soulburner exclaimed.

"If Go Onizuka finds a way to destroy Reaper's last monster and attack, he and Cyber Man win the duel," Silver Wing said.

"There is still hope." Blossom Star looked hopeful.

"Go Cyber Man! Go, Go Onizuka! Yeah!" Ai cheered as he used a pom-pom.

"My turn. I draw!" Go drew his card. "This will be our last turn, Reaper!"

Go Onizuka (2): 100 LP

Reaper raised an eyebrow. "I play the Spell Card, Dino Discovery!" The card depicted a fossil excavation site where archaeologists were digging up fossils of dinosaurs that were wearing their wrestling outfits. "By targeting one Dinowrestler monster, I can draw a card equal to half the targeted monster's level. I target Dinowrestler Panktratops, and since his Level is an odd number, I get to draw some cards equal to the higher rounded number, so I draw four cards."

Go Onizuka (5): 100 LP

"I Normal Summon Dinowrestler Rauikido." This new monster looked like a rauisuchus, a four-legged, dark-brown dinosaur. It wore a white mask, jacket, black gloves, and shorts.

Dinowrestler Raukido-Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH, 1400 ATK, 800 DEF, Level 4

"Dinowrestler Raukido's effect!" Go declared. "When it is Normal Summoned, I can add one Level 4 or lower Dinowrestler monster from my Deck to my hand. I add Dinowrestler Capoeiraptor."

Go reached out his hand as it glowed in blue lights. "Appear my circuit! The summoning condition is two or more Dinowrestler monsters I set my Pankratops, Ankylo, and Raukido to the Link Markers!"

The three dinosaurs were absorbed into the bottom-left, bottom, and bottom-right link arrows. "Link Summon! Appear! Link-3! Dinowrestler King T Wrextle!"

A dark purple, anthropomorphic T-Rex with red stripes, dinosaur bones for its shoulder plates, red masks, and a belt appeared as it roared in Attack Position from the Extra Monster Zone.

Dinowrestler King T Wrextle-Dinosaur/Effect, EARTH, 3000 ATK, Link 3, Link Arrow: Bottom-Left, Bottom, Bottom-Right

"There he is! Go Onizuka's ace monster!" Flame pointed out, flaring out. "Seeing his body makes me feel heated!"

"So, his ace monster finally appears," Playmaker said.

"So that is Go Onizuka's new ace monster, which replaced Gouki the Great Ogre," Gladia recognized.

"I equip King T Wrextle with the Spell Card, Dino Power!" The card showed Dinowrestler King T Wrextle flexing muscle as its body glowed in red. "While equipped with this card, King T Wrextle can inflict piercing battle damage. Battle! King T Wrextle declares an attack on your Wyvern!"

The same red glow empowered King T Wrextle as it roared before it threw out a punch at Quantum Wyvern.

"When King T Wrextle battles, you cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step! Also, because of World Dino Wrestling, my Dinowrestler gains 200 ATK during the damage calculation!" Go mentioned aloud.

Dinowrestler King T Wrextle: 3000 3200 ATK

"If this attack hits, Go Onizuka and Cyber Man will win!" Blossom Star exclaimed.

"Hmph. If I cannot activate a Spell or Trap Card, I'll use monster card's effect instead!" Reaper declared as he picked out a card from his hand. "I activate Q# Quartz's effect from my hand! When my opponent's Link Monster declares an attack, I can reveal Q# Quartz from my hand to reduce the battle damage to zero!"

Suddenly, a monster composed of purple quartz crystal appeared before Reaper. The only distinctive feature was the pair of glowing yellow eyes.

Q# Quartz – Cyberse/Effect, EARTH, 200 ATK, 700 DEF, Level 2

Go Onizuka grit his teeth. "Even so, your monster will still be destroyed!"

King T Wrextle gave a knuckle punch to Wyvern, causing it to explode. Reaper winced from the shockwave, but he managed to stand up. However, his mask cracked a bit more as a result.

"After this effect resolves, Q# Quartz is sent to the graveyard," Reaper said, sending the card to the graveyard before he gestured to the field. "I activate my Set card! Q# Super Processing!"

The card displayed a computer running a program while emitting electrical energy, and it appeared to be overheating. The user in front of the computer monitor resembled Dr. Kozaky, looking panicked.

"If I control no monsters while my opponent controls a Link Monster, I can target that Link Monster and then Special Summon a number of Level 4 or lower Q# monste"rs from my graveyard equal to that monster's Link Rating," Reaper explained. "I target King T Wrextle, so that I can Special Summon three Q# monsters! Come back, Wyvern, Particle, and Shadow!"

The three monsters resurrected on his side of the field in Defense Position before pointing to Shadow. "I activate Q# Shadow's effect! Since you control a Link Monster, I can Special Summon one Q# Token."

A token appeared next to shadow.

"Dang it! Not only did he protect his Life Points, but he summoned multiple monsters too!" Ai complained.

"Tch! I set two cards and end my turn," Go finished. "At this point, King T Wrextle's attack is returned to normal."

Dinowrestler King T Wrextle: 3200 3000 ATK

Go (1): 100 LP

"I am sorry that I couldn't defeat him this turn," Go apologized to Cyber Man.

"No, you did well, Go Onizuka. On my turn, I will take care of it," Cyber Man replied.

"We'll see about that," Reaper said, catching the attention of the two duelists. "My turn, I draw!"

Reaper (1): 1300 LP

"I activate one of my Set cards!" Go interrupted. "Dino Domination!" The card showed King T Wrextle putting his foot over a fallen Gouki The Great Ogre in a wrestling ring. King T Wrextle was holding a belt over its head.

"While this card is face-up on the field, Dinowrestler monsters I control are unaffected by the effects of my opponent's monsters. If I control a Dinowrestler Link Monster in the Extra Monster Zone, we gain 300 Life Points for each of the monster's Link Ratings."

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 100 1000 LP

"With that card, Go Onizuka's monster is unaffected by Reaper's monster effect," Silver Wing said.

"If Reaper plans to resurrect any of his Quantum Dragon monsters, at least Go's monsters will be protected from the effect," Blossom Star noted.

"I don't think that will stop Reaper." Everyone turned to Playmaker. We've seen him many times; the Reaper finds his way out of the situation. I think it doesn't matter how challenging an obstacle you put in his way. He will find a way out of it."

"Are you saying that both Cyber Man and Go…?" Soulburner asked but stopped his train of thought. "No. There's no way they can lose!

"I agree with Soulburner!" Silver Wing said. "We won't know until we see the duel till the end!"

"As much as I want to believe in Cyber Man and Go Onizuka, there are three reasons why I think they won't win," Playmaker replied. "One, so far in this duel, Reaper had always found a way to play around whatever obstacle Cyber Man or Go Onizuka put in his way. Two, the extent of what his Q# Deck can do is still unknown. There could be something more than just stealing other people's Link Monsters in the duel to activate an effect. Three, something is just odd about Reaper."

The last point caught everyone's interest.

"What do you mean by something odd, Playmaker?" Ai asked.

"Reaper is not someone who would give up easily, even against many odds stacked against him, but that attitude and confidence remind me of something. I couldn't remember, but this feeling has been lingering ever since I learned about Reaper and his first appearance," Playmaker said.

"He reminds you of something?" Soulburner repeated.

"What is that even mean?" Silver Wing asked.

The four duelists continued to watch the duel as it unfolded. They didn't know what Playmaker meant by his last point, but they couldn't shake the feeling that he was not wrong.

"I will admit. For lapdogs, you two prove to be worthy opponents," Reaper commented.

Cyber Man and Go Onizuka raised an eyebrow. They didn't know how they felt that way after Reaper said that.

"No other duelists have pushed me this far and survived this long. I've never had a Master Tag Duel before, so, of course, it would take longer for a duel like this to conclude. But the time has come!" Reaper announced. "It's time to end this! Appear, my circuit!"

A Link portal appeared above the sky, surprising all of them.

"Arrowheads confirmed! The summoning condition is two or more DARK Cyberse monsters, including one Q# monster. I set my Q# Wyvern, Shadow, Particle, and Q# Token to the Link Markers!"

The four monsters were absorbed into the four link arrows —top, left, right, and bottom —while Reaper chanted. "The king of terror that shakes the very heaven! With the power of Quantum, it will shake the very existence of the Cyberse Realm! Link Summon! Appear! Link-4! Q# Quantum Serpenterror!"

The link portal glowed as dark clouds emerged from it. The clouds roared with thunder and lightnings struck. A strong wind blew around, making all who on the D-Board wobbled.

"Woooaaah!" Ai screamed.

The duelists on the D-Board tried their best not to get blown away. Blossom Star struggled but also noticed something was moving in the cloud.

'What is that?' She thought.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew in her direction, making her slip on the D-Board. Blossom Star screamed as she fell off.

"Blossom Star!" Silver Wing went after her to catch her, but the wind was in his way.

Suddenly, something swooped down and caught Blossom Star from falling down.

"Hey, that's….!" Soulburner gasped.

Blossom Star opened her eyes, realizing that she was carried in a bridal style by Gladia.

"You are…?" Blossom Star said, puzzled at her mysterious rescuer.

"I've never expected to rescue a cute girl today, but here I am," Gladia said, grinning.

"Jackal didn't want to see a human be hurt. Jackal told Gladia to save you," Jackal added.

"An Ignis?!" Blossom Star gasped.

The camera bot was blown away by the wind, causing the footage to become blurry.

"Hey, keep it still!" Kitty shouted.

"The wind is too strong!" Mimi yelled.

People in the real world couldn't tell what they were watching as the footage looked so fuzzy.

At the orphanage, the kids and their caretakers also couldn't watch the duel due to the technical issue.

They moaned and complained, but they also worried about what had happened to Go Onizuka and Cyber Man.

"What happened?" One of the kids asked.

"What happened to Big Bro Go?" One boy asked.

"Is he and Cyber Man, OK?" Another kid, a girl questioned.

Back in New LINK VRAINS, everyone stopped and looked at the cloud as the wind calmed slightly.

A massive, flying, black, serpent-like creature emerged from the cloud. It had silver, sharp, horn-shaped features resembling lightning bolts, a sharp, back tail, and four gray legs or hands with sharp claws. Two flowing silver whiskers, shaped like lightning bolts, were attached to its face below the nostrils. Multiple black dorsal spikes lined up all over their back. Its eyes glowed in crimson red.

The monster roared powerfully from the Extra Monster Zone.

Q# Quantum Serpenterror-Cyberse/Link/Effect, DARK, 3000 ATK, Link-4, Link Arrow: Top, Left, Right, Bottom

"That Link Monster… It's so huge! It's bigger than Borreload Dragon, and its Link Sense is so, SO high!" Ai shouted.

"It is. This must be Reaper's boss monster!" Flame said, sweating in fear.

Cyber Man and Go Onizuka look at the monster, sweating as they feel anxious. However, they didn't give up. They didn't want to, no matter how intimidating the monster looked. They faced the beast with a confident yet cautious look.

"When Quantum Serpenterror is Link Summoned, I can equip one Q# monster from my Graveyard or Banished Zone to it," Reaper said, pulling a card from his Graveyard zone. "The monster card is Q# Quantum Dragon, and when it is equipped to Serpenterror, it gains ATK equal to half of that monster's original attack!"

Cyber Man and Go Onizuka widened their eye. The familiar Xyz Dragon briefly appeared before being absorbed into Serpenterror, causing its body to glow in a purple aura.

Q# Quantum Serpenterror: 3000 4400 ATK

"Q# Quantum Serpenterror's effect! Once pre-turn, if it points to no other monster, I can destroy one card on the field," Reaper revealed, gesturing to the field. "I destroy the Field Spell, World Dino Wrestling!"

The fence for the wrestling ring and the jungle trees disintegrated from the field.

Reaper gestured with his arm. "Battle! Q# Quantum Serpenterror attacks Dinowrestler King T Wrextle! Since I know its effect forces me to attack it only, I will choose it, but it won't matter anyway since you both will lose!"

'He knows about my Link Monster's effect, but he's right. If this attack connects, he lose this duel!' Go thought as he gritted his teeth.

"Not so fast!" Cyber Man shouted. "I activate my Trap Card, HERO Sacrifice!" The card showed Elemental HERO Avian standing in front of scared Winged Kuriboh as Avian took in the incoming attack. "By Tributing one HERO monster on the field, I can negate another monster's destruction by battle and reduce the damage by half!"

Giga-Byte quickly stood in front of Dinowrestler King T Wrextle, making a pose that looks like a T-Pose. Serpenterror breathed out a purple fire from its mouth, but Giga-Byte didn't run away. It took in the incoming attack as it cried in pain while protecting King T Wrextle from the burning.

The flame caused Cyber Man and Go to feel burned, but they stood firm.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 1000 - 300 LP

"So, you survived for another turn…" Reaper said before he smirked. "Impressive. I set a card and end my turn."

Reaper (0): 1300 LP

"The difference in Life Points is 1000. If Cyber Man couldn't find a way to turn the table…" Soulburner said.

"They won't survive for another turn and might as well lose," Silver Wing warned.

"That's horrible! They can't lose sight of just how far they've come! Blossom Star exclaimed.

"Umm…" Blossom Star looked over to Gladia. "You can get off now, you know."

"Oh! I'm sorry!" Blossom Star blushed as she summoned her D-Board and hopped onto it.

"Were you watching the duel all this time?" Playmaker asked Gladia.

"Yeah. Since I read that message by Blue Angel, I decided to see the show, but I never expected it to have an extended version," she answered.

"That makes sense. You've been watching since Blue Girl's duel," Flame said.

"Jackal thought to stay low and not get involved while watching from the side, but couldn't let a human get hurt, so we intervene," Jackal explained.

"Yeah, yeah. You said that already," Ai sassed.

"Well, never mind about us. I'm rather concerned for them," Gladia pointed out as they refocused on the duel.

Gladia was right about one thing. Cyber Man and Go Onizuka had less than 1,000 Life Points, while Reaper had 1,300 Life Points and a Link Monster with 3,000 ATK points. If Cyber Man didn't find a way to win this duel this turn, they would lose.

"Go Onizuka." Go looked over to Cyber Man, who was sweating. "It looks like… this is it for us."

Go widened his eyes. No matter how much we prepared for this, things didn't go exactly as planned, or at least that is what I thought. Reaper is just too strong."

Go sighed, then smirked. "I agree with you. We survived this far, and this may be our very last turn. However, no matter what happens, I can't help but feel satisfied."

"Huh? Satisfy?" Cyber Man repeated.

Go nodded. "I agreed to partner with you so that I can defeat Reaper on behalf of the children and avenge them. If it weren't for him, their field trip wouldn't have been canceled, and the kids would have been happier, but being here now…. Reminded me of how much I miss the thrill of the duel, despite my latest track record. Even if I lose, I will feel satisfied that I gave it my all, and nothing can take that away from me."

"Go Onizuka…" Cyber Man looked at his partner with a puzzled yet understanding expression. He also sought exact revenge for one person, his sidekick Fate Kid, but he admitted that this duel was the most exciting one he had ever had.

However, he also knew that he could not lose this duel. This draw will determine if they win or lose.

"My turn. I draw!" Cyber Man draw his card strongly as it created a gust of wind.

Cyber Man (2): 300 LP

He slightly grinned as he added the card to his hand and quickly played it. "I Normal Summon Cipher HERO Morpher Man!"

The new hero monster resembled a Power Ranger, except his helmet bore the likeness of a green dragon's head with a black, "C"-shaped visor. He wore a spandex suit with multiple colors; the body and arms were red, the left leg was white, the right leg was black, and the gloves and pair of boots were white. The left shoulder pad was shaped like the head of a white tiger, and the right shoulder was shaped like the head of a black dinosaur. On the chest were the head of a phoenix and headlights.

Cipher HERO Morpher Man-Warrior/Effect, EARTH, 1300 ATK, 1200 DEF, Level 4

"It's a new Cipher HERO monster," Blossom Star recognized.

"When Morpher Man is Normal Summoned, I can change his monster type into one of the five types, and I pick Dinosaur," Cyber Man declared.

"It can change type?" Ai asked.

"I wonder what is he planning to do," Flame wondered.

"Cipher HERO Morpher Man's effect! Once per turn, if I control no other monsters on the field, I can send Morpher Man and one other monster from my side of the field, hand, or Deck to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon one Cipher HERO Fusion monster with Ranger in its name from my Extra Deck."

Reaper looked a bit surprised when he heard that.

"A Fusion Summon through a monster effect?" Blossom Star gasped.

"I fuse the Dinosaur-type Cipher HERO Morpher Man with Dinowrestler King T Wrextle!" The two monsters jumped into the air, turning into blue and red twisters as Cyber Man began chanting. "The Hero that morphs with great powers, combine your strength with the king of Dinowrestler and morph into a brand-new hero! Fusion! Appear! Level 9! Cipher HERO Dino Ranger!"

The two twisters merged into one big violet twister. A new monster emerged from the twister. This one looked like Morpher Man, with the same visor, except the spandex suit was black, and the helmet was now shaped like a brachiosaurus head. The suit also had a long black and yellow tail. The new hero monster posed epically in Attack Position in the Extra Monster Zone.

Cipher HERO Dino Ranger-Warrior/Fusion/Effect, EARTH, 2900 ATK 2400 DEF, Level 9

"That looks… awesome." Silver Wing couldn't believe his eyes as he was amazed.

"Cipher HERO Dino Ranger's effect! When he is Fusion Summoned, I can equip one Cipher HERO monster from my Graveyard to him," Cyber Man picked out a card from his graveyard. "I equip him with Cipher HERO Modusa. Now, he gains attack equal to Modusa's ATK points! Power-Up!"

A silhouette of Cipher HERO Modusa briefly appeared before she merged with Dino Ranger, causing his body to glow in yellow light.

Cipher HERO Dino Ranger: 2900 5100 ATK

"Alright! Now his monster's ATK is higher than Reaper's monster!" Silver Wing exclaimed.

"But, it is not enough to deplete all of Reaper's Life Points," Playmaker pointed out.

"Then, I play the Quick Play Spell, HERO Power Bond!" He revealed a card from his hand, showing Cipher HERO Speedstar doing a manly handshake with Elemental HERO Avian. "When a HERO monster battles another monster, I can increase its ATK by twice its original ATK, but when activating this card's effect, no other monster I control can attack this turn!"

Cipher HERO Dino Ranger: 5100 10900

"HOLY KURIBOH! IT'S ATK IS OVER 9000!" Ai shocked.

"That's more than enough to defeat Reaper!" Blossom Star shouted.

"This is the combined power of me and Go Onizuka! The power of teamwork!" Cyber Man said proudly as he pointed. "Go, Dino Ranger! Attack Reaper's monster with Dino Power Whip!"

Dino Ranger jumped up into the air, thanks to his tail. He put out his tail in the front, hurtling down towards Q# Quantum Serpenterror.

"Impressive, but unfortunately, nothing can stop me!" Reaper shouted. "If my monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, I can send the monster equipped to it to the Graveyard to negate its destruction. I send my Q# Quantum Dragon to the graveyard, but if I use this effect, Serpenterror loses the ATK boost!"

Q# Quantum Serpenterror: 4400 3000 ATK

"Even so, you will still be dealt with damage!" Cyber Man argued.

"And you lose!" Go reminded him.

"That's why I will also activate this card," Reaper countered. "Trap activate! Q# Pandemonium!"

The Trap card flipped up, revealing a dark, eerie hallway with a statue of Q# Quantum Dragon on the left side and a statue of Q# Quantum AI Dragon on the opposite side; a demonic shadow loomed over them.

"When my opponent's monster battles a Q# Monster I control in the Extra Monster Zone, the battle damage is reduced to zero!" Reaper revealed.

"Nooo! They're gonna lose!" Ai yelled.

"Not so fast!" Go interrupted. "I counter your Trap with mine! Dino Stomper!" The said card showed Dinowrestler Eskrimamenchi's foot stomping on frightened Ojama Yellow, Green, and Black.

"When my opponent activates a Trap Card, I can discard one Dinowrestler monster from my hand to negate that card activation and destroy it! I discard Dinowrestler Caoeiraptor!" Go sent his only card from his hand to the graveyard, causing Reaper's Trap to be shattered.

"Yay! Now, nothing is stopping them from finishing off Reaper!" Ai cheered.

"Jackal senses this duel is over," Jackal said.

"Thank you, Go Onizuka," Cyber Man nodded as he continued. "Go, Dino Ranger! Finish him off! Dino Power Whip!"

The hero monster whipped his tail, smacking Q# Serpenterror in the face. The shockwave of the tail smack hit Reaper, causing his mask to crack even further and reveal half of his face.

Reaper covered half of his face as he kneeled.

"Alright! They won!" Ai jumped in joy.

"Wait, Ai!" Flame stopped him. "Something is not right."

Ai stopped as he joined with others watching the duel.

Reaper's Life Points didn't drop to zero, but they did decrease.

Reaper (0): 1300 - 300 LP

"Wh…What?! How is your Life Point not reduced to zero?" Go asked.

"That's because…" Reaper replied in a distorted yet familiar voice. The voice caused everyone to widen their eyes. "I activated Q# Pandemonium's other effect. If a card is in the Graveyard, I can banish it and then pay 1000 LP to reduce all battle and effect damages I gain this turn to zero."

"Your mask… It…. It couldn't be!" Cyber Man looked shocked.

"You both have pushed me this far. Most impressive!" Reaper stood back up, revealing the other half of his face, which showed a familiar hairstyle and eye color.

"It can't be! That's…. That's…!" Blossom Star gasped.

"Reaper is Codebreaker!" Soulburner shouted.

"No way… Morse…. Why?! What are you doing?!" Cyber Man yelled at him.

"Morse? Who is Morse?" Reaper looked puzzled. "My name is Reaper, the Link Killer! I don't recall that name being mine."

"What is going on here?!" Go questioned.

"This can't be real! Is it?! I am SO CONFUSED!" Ai panicked.

"I… I don't know precisely what the reason is, but all this time, Reaper was Codebreaker! Flame started, looking as shocked as everyone else.

"Jackal couldn't never predict this," Jackal said.

"No kidding," Gladia agreed.

"The duel shall commence! Since this is your End Phase, your HERO monster's ATK is returned to normal," Reaper declared.

Cipher HERO Dino Ranger: 10900 5100 ATK

Reaper (1): 300 LP

Reaper drew his card. Cyber Man was too shocked that he didn't even declare to end his turn, while Reaper just proceeded without being called out.

"I play the Spell Card, Magical Experiment!" The Spell Card featured Cyber Magician Girl in the center, enclosed within a glass casing that was part of a larger machine. An electrical spark flared all around while Dr. Kozaky controlled the machine.

"By sending one Cyber Magician Girl monster from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard, I can increase the ATK of one Cyberse Monster I control equal to the ATK of the sent Cyber Magician Girl's monster. I send my one and only Cyber Magician Girl to increase Quantum Serpenterror's ATK by 2000 points!"

Cyber Magician Girl, Reaper, or rather Codebreaker's original ace monster, appeared, but she didn't look like her usual self. Her eyes showed a blank color, and her expression looked emotionless. She turned into a yellow light as the light flew over to the Q# monster, absorbing it into itself. Serpenterror roared as its power increased.

Q# Quantum Serpenterror: 3000 5000 ATK

"Once per turn, if it points to no other monster, I can destroy one card on the field and I destroy your Cipher HERO monster!" Serpenterror breathed a purple fire at the hero monster, burning him into crisp.

"Morse… why…." Cyber Man mumbled.

"Cyber Man, snap out of it!" Go shouted at him, but it didn't have any effect on him.

"Nothing stops me this time," Reaper said, gesturing to the field. "Time to finally end this! Q# Quantum Serpenterror, attack them directly! Quantum Terror Breath!"

The monster roared before it breathed a purple fire blast at Go Onizuka and Cyber Man. Both duelists screamed as they backflipped over themselves before landing on the ground.

Cyber Man & Go Onizuka: 300 LP 0 LP

Reaper Wins.

Go Onizuka and Cyber Man lay down on the ground as Reaper approached them.

"I applaud you both for pushing me in our duel. That was quite an interesting duel with many twists, but no matter what happens, the result is always the same. I win, and you lose," he said.

"This can't be for real…" Silver Wing disbelieved. "Reaper… is Codebreaker? What the hell is going on?!"

"I had a feeling about this," Playmaker admitted, his teeth gritted, and his fist clenched. "I had a gut feeling that this was a possibility, but I've never expected it to come true. Even though I deny it, but…!"

"Codebreaker…. What happened to you! I…!" Soulburner was about to jump into action.

"REAPER!" Everyone stopped and looked at Blossom Star, who shouted.

Reaper looked up, finally noticing Playmaker's group.

"Duel me now!" Blossom Star shouted, tears welling up in her eyes, but her face revealed both anger and determination.

Hey guys! Here is the new chapter and this was the longest chapter I've written in a long time!

First, let's get the elephant out of the room; Reaper's true identity is Codebreaker. I am sure it was pretty obvious, but if not, I hinted it a lot through out the past three chapters, including this one before the reveal.

Second, we have some new cards for Reaper, Go Onizuka, and Cyber Man. Some of them are created johannvanguard, so thank you to him for creating some of the cards. I think Dinowrestler lacks a lot of support, even in the TCG/OCG currently. We also got the first-ever new Rank-Down Magic card, and unfortunately, there is one Rank-Down Magic card in the TCG/OCG. I wish we could have more, and hopefully we will someday.

Third, the next chapter will be another long one, but not as long as this one. It will take awhile to write it because I think I will work on the other fanfic that I want to get back into, so I will see you guys next time, but leave you guys with the preview for the next chapter.
