The scene picks up with Lincoln Loud and Heron, a member of F.O.W.L., plunged into the depths of SCP-1128 (The Aquatic Horror). The pool is dark and murky, a terrifying void of water where only vague, shifting shapes can be seen. Two boxbots (named Darryl and Shannon) have just tossed them into the pool.
Lincoln (gasping for air): "Ugh! This water's freezing!"
Heron (flailing around): "You've got to be kidding me! This is a mess."
Both of them are struggling to stay afloat in the water as they argue in the cold, eerie environment.
Lincoln (frustrated): "Why did you have to drag me into this mess? You're F.O.W.L.! Why should I even care about you?!"
Heron (angry): "You think I wanted this? I didn't have a choice!"
The sound of bubbling water grows louder as the being of SCP-1128 (The Aquatic Horror) shifts below them, just waiting for its next meal. Neither of them notices at first, too caught up in their argument.
Scene 2: Heron's Malfunctioning Arm
Heron (yelling): "I'll just get rid of you right now!"
Heron raises her robotic arm to aim it at Lincoln, but before she can strike, her arm begins to malfunction. Sparks fly from the joints, and it suddenly detaches from her body, floating uselessly in the water.
Heron (panicking): "What the—?!"
Lincoln (concerned): "What's happening to you? Your arm—"
Heron desperately dives beneath the water to retrieve her arm, but it's too late. The arm vanishes into the darkness below, dragged down by an unseen force.
Heron (furiously): "No! My arm!"
Lincoln (frowning): "You're in no condition to fight me now."
As they both try to swim to the surface, they notice something terrifying—a massive shape rising beneath them, its presence felt before it's fully seen.
Lincoln (panicking): "We need to get out of here NOW!"
Scene 3: The Horror Strikes
Suddenly, a gigantic, monstrous figure emerges from the depths. It's the Aquatic Horror, its form shifting and writhing like a creature from a nightmare, with long, slimy appendages and glowing eyes. It lunges toward the pair.
Heron (screaming): "Swim faster! It's coming for us!"
The two of them struggle to climb the slippery walls of the pool, but the Aquatic Horror is getting closer. Lincoln reaches out and grabs Heron, pulling her toward the surface.
Scene 4: The Escape
They finally break the surface of the water, gasping for air, their hearts racing. They both quickly realize they're in danger, as the creature below them thrashes and roars, but they've made it to the top.
Lincoln (out of breath): "We're… we're not safe yet."
Heron (gasping): "You think?"
They look around, but something is wrong—the Foundation's presence is gone. The guards are nowhere to be found.
Lincoln (looking around): "Where did the Foundation go? Where are the guards?"
Heron (concerned): "They must've moved. We're on our own here."
Lincoln (determined): "We need to find out where they went. I know where we need to go next."
Scene 5: The Journey to Lakewood Plaza
After a brief search, Lincoln learns from some scattered notes that the Foundation has been moved to Lakewood Plaza, the site where Lord Boxman is making his next move. Lincoln finds a vehicle, a sturdy truck, parked nearby.
Lincoln (grabbing the keys): "Alright, let's get moving. We need to find the others."
Heron approaches, a bit hesitant.
Heron (tentatively): "Lincoln, you… you're not just going to leave me here, are you?"
Lincoln (glancing at Heron): "I don't trust you, Heron. You're F.O.W.L., after all."
Heron (pleading): "Please. You don't have to trust me, but I can help you. Just… just take me with you. I'll help you get to the Plaza. I won't do anything… evil."
Lincoln stares at her, clearly conflicted. Then, something strange happens—a vision forms in his mind, as two tiny versions of himself appear—one an angel on his right shoulder, the other a devil on his left.
Scene 6: The Angel and Devil
Angel Lincoln (calmly): "Lincoln, you know what's right. You should help Heron. She's your ally, even if you don't trust her. If she can help you, why turn her away?"
Devil Lincoln (snarling): "Are you kidding? She's F.O.W.L.! You can't trust her. She'll turn on you the moment you need her the most. Do you really want to take that risk?"
The voices are loud in Lincoln's head, pulling him in two directions. He shakes his head, trying to clear his thoughts.
Lincoln (thinking hard): "I… I have to decide. Do I take Heron with me, or do I leave her behind?"
After a long moment, Lincoln sighs and nods to himself, making his decision.
Lincoln (firmly): "Alright, Heron. Get in the truck. But if you pull anything, I swear I'll leave you behind."
Heron nods gratefully, though there's a faint hint of doubt in her eyes.
Heron (quietly): "I won't let you down."
Scene 7: The Journey Begins
The truck rumbles to life, and Lincoln drives off toward Lakewood Plaza, where he hopes to find the missing Foundation personnel. He steals a glance at Heron, unsure whether she'll betray him. He drives in silence for a while.
Lincoln (thinking to himself): "I hope I made the right choice…"
