A black cat laid down comfortably on the navy ship, purring as a chubby dark skinned man stroked her belly. She closes her eyes in bliss, about to fall asleep on the ledge.
"What's that?" A lanky pale man asked, looking down at the floating barrel.
"Let's find out" the dark man grabbed a rope with a hook at the end, swinging it and throwing it besides it 3 times.
"Ugh I missed again!"
His friend laughs "strike 3 pal"
"I'd be embarrassed" a voice says above them "you suck" the black haired man says
The feline as well couldn't help but laugh mentally 'god for someone trained he sure doesn't know to catch'
The dark man blushed in embarrassment and went again, smirking as he was finally able to secure the hooked rope around it.
"What was that about me sucking"
"Cheap shot!" The black haired man with pale skin snickers
The two down below lift the surprisingly heavy barrel up in effort, dropping it to the ground.
"Maybe it's filled with beer"
"Well it's our beer now"
'Doesn't smell like it' she giggles in amusement. 'They'll find out soon'
The man at the top of the lookout tower stared out with a look of shock and alarm "Ship of the starboard stern! There's a pirate flag on its mast! We've got a pirate ship in pursuit! Enemy raid! Enemy raid!"
The two men drop the barrel and run off screaming. The black cat shakes her head with a sigh 'They need to man up' she cocks her head to the side as she watches the barrel roll down the stairs 'And this person is not even phased'
She runs down the stairs in curiosity, turning as the barrel did and into the now open room. She lays on her side besides it, swishing her tail back and forth.

"H-hello" a boy with pink hair and round glasses sticks his head through the door hesitantly. "I really hope no ones in here" he states, walking inside.
His black eyes make contact with honey ones in surprise "oh hey there kitty. What are you doing down here?" He asks, patting her soft coat.
"Meow" he picks her up, positing her to her side on his chest, stroking her head.
"That's a rather large barrel... I wonder what's inside of it" he puts her down gently on her feet, rolling the barrel towards the door with all high might.
'What the hell is in here?!' He thought
The feline mentally laughs at his struggle. She frowns as 3 men that looked like thugs towered over the teen with grim looks.
"Well if it isn't our favourite coward. Are you trying to hide out in hear and duck out on all the action?" A rather chubby bronze man asks distastefully.
"N-no way! I was just trying to haul this big barrel of beer over to you guys!" He explains, waving his hands in the air.
The tan man with an 'S' tattoos looks down the barrel with a look that equalled lust.
The chubby man chuckles "why don't you let us lighten it up for ya?"
"I was just starting to get thirsty" the 'S' tattooed man says
"You can't!" The boy exclaims "Lady Alvida will kill us if she ever found out!"
"She won't if you keep your trap shut. Right Coby?"
"Yeah, right" he chuckles nervously. His nerves calm down as he feels something against his leg, smiling down at the gorgeous cat who surprisingly had a smile.
"You're very first friend aye?" The pale man with an orange and black stripped shirt scoffed, earning laughs from the others. He flinches at the unexpected death glare she sent him "Freaky as you"
The chubby man picks the barrel up for it to stand. "Things pretty heavy"
"Perfect"
The chubby man cracks his knuckles in determination "Move back boys. I'll open it the old fashioned way" before his fist could come in contact with the top, a screaming, smiling boy pops out with arms up in a star fish.
Everyone in the room scream in freight at the sudden appearance, the chubby man crying at the sudden scare. The feline as well was frightened, but she didn't jump like the others as she already smelt the scent of the boy inside.
"I SLEPT SO GREAT!" He drags out happily, unaware of the people around him.
'IS THIS KID DENSE?!' The female thought, sweat dropping as he asks who the collapsed chubby man is, then asking the two men in front of him who the hell they are.
"Who the hell are you!"
"Your friend will catch a cold sleeping like that" he bluntly says, getting out of the barrel and crouching down to the feline.
"You're the one who knocked him out!"
"Hey cutie. What are you doing here?" He giggles, picking up the grinning cat and putting her on his shoulder. "I declare you the first member of my crew" he smiles
"Meow?"
The straw hat boy looks at the sword below his chin in confusion
"Hold on, are you messing with us even though you know good and well we're vicious pirates?! Huh!" The man with snake like tattoos asks in confusion
Luffy looks away from them and to the scared pink haired boy "I'm starving. You've got any food?"
"I'm talking to youuu!"
"You damn kid" the orange shirt guy yells along with his friend, raising their sword up in preparation of striking him down.
The feline decided against jumping in action, knowing someone with little care obtained more skill than one could think.
Yellow eyes widen in delight as nearly half of the swords were broken off and flown to the rooftop. The feline smirks at the two scared men that sat on the floor cross legged like obedient little dogs.
"What is wrong with you two?" The 17-year-old asks, showing no emotion.
"Who are you?"
"Me? Oh, my name is Monkey D. Luffy. Hi" he chuckles, smiling with his eyes closed and arms crossed.
The dark feline smiled at his goofiness 'Funny how I ended up on this ship an hour ago only for him to appear. I think this must be destiny. Not that I had I have a choice' she sweat drops, replaying the teens claim on her.
"I declare you the first member of my crew"
As he talked to the pink haired boy she couldn't help but admire him. He's taking initiative to begin his dream as a pirate, going so far as to even battle to death if the time ever came. He's nothing like how the book she read described pirates.
'Then again, I shouldn't discriminate them because of others actions'
She sat on his shoulder again as trouble came, keeping a careful eye on the far woman who attempted to harm her new friend. They jump up the whole the fat woman made, grinning as he beat them up with his weirdly enhanced strength.
She gapes just like the other men as they realise his hand still attached to the wooden pillar, stretching out to where he ran.
The straw hat teen turns his head to the side and smiles at them "Gotcha"
Lady Alvida's men run back in haste, screaming as the boy sent himself towards them.
"Gum gum... rocket!"
The feline held on to the boy as they men sprawled like pins from Luffy who knocked them like a bowling ball.
'That was unexpected'
"Luffy, what are you?" Coby asks
"Me? I'm a rubber person!" He says, putting his index finger in the side of his mouth and stretching it out.
Coby scrambles behind him in fear of the big woman with black curly hair.
"You've eaten a Devil's Fruit, haven't you?"
'Just as I thought'
"Yeah! The Gum Gum Fruit!"

The feline shook the water off her coat. She stared up at her captain 'what's he staring at?' She jumps on his shoulder and examines the red haired beauty on the boat besides them.
Coby quickly set the boat up and took sail before the Navy could realise them. The boat moved forward away from the conflict, easing the pink haired boy greatly.
"Looks like we managed to get away..."
"Whew that was fun"
The cat meows in agreement, earning a scratch behind her ear. He picks her up eye level with a grin.
"What should your name be? Blackie?"
"Just because her coats black doesn't mean she should be named that!" Coby exclaims, flailing his arms. "Look at her name tag"
Luffy brings the feline to his chest and grabs the gold name tag "Yoruichi"
"That's unique" Colby says, looking out for any ships. He turns his head towards his newfound friend "Hey Luffy, if you're heading for the One Piece, that means you're going to the Grand Line, right?"
"Yeah" he nods
"That place is also referred to as a pirate graveyard, you know"
"Yeah that's why I need a strong crew. So far I only have Yoruichi here" he grins, stroking her head. "What about that pirate hunter guy? What's he like?"
"You mean Zoro? I heard he's being held prisoner at a navy base"
Luffy pouts "Aww he's a weakling"
"Nothing of the sort! He's as terrifying as a demon!"
'Sounds like a hottie' the feline purrs
Why are you asking about him?"
"Thought I might have him join my crew if he's a good guy!" He explains
Coby's jaw nearly touches the ground at the revelation "You're being reckless again"
"Cmon he might be a good guy!" Luffy rebuts
"He's been caught because he's a bad guy! No way not a chance absolutely no - ow! Why did you hit me?"
'Good because he was getting annoying'
"I felt like it"
