31. Chapter 31

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 31: The Unnaturals

We begin at a carnival where Ben is playing a game. One of those games where you have to knock over the bottles with a ball.

(You know the ones!)

But no matter how hard he threw the balls, he couldn't knock over a single bottle.

The teenager behind the counter said, "sorry kid."

Ben groaned as Hope said, "let me try."

Hope threw a ball at the bottles, but they didn't get knocked over. The teenager gave a smug look as he pressed down a hidden lever that knocked over the balls!

The teen, "nice job, you win a prize!"

Hope smiles as she picks a plushie that looks like a platypus of some kind.

(Imagine that plushie from that Gravity Falls episode.)

Ben gave a skeptical look, being pretty sure that he was being cheated. He also didn't like the look the teen gave Hope.

The teen then says, "say, uh, my break is in five minutes. You wanna-"

Hope, "sorry, but I'm not interested."

The teen gives a disappointed look as Ben snickers while the three walk away from the stand.

Ben, "if I just went hero, I'd win every one of those stupid games."

Gwen, "sure, use the most powerful device in the universe to cheat at Whack-a-Mole. Real nice."

Hope, "I'm pretty sure that guy was cheating anyway. He just let me win so I'd go out with him. But I'm not that easy."

Ben gave a slightly worried look, wondering what would happen if he asked her out.

Just then, two criminals on a giant truck drive straight towards Ben.

Ben, "what the?!"

Max quickly arrives, grabs Ben and pushes him out of the way.

Max, "they're getting away with the Liberty Bell!"

The thieves have the Liberty Bell on their truck and Ben activates the watch!

Ben, "not if XLR8 has anything to say about it."

He runs behind some bushes, dials the watch, and slams down, but he transforms into GreyMater instead.

GreyMatter walks out and groans, "ugh! Are you kidding me? Now how am I gonna catch up?"

Hope picks up GreyMatter and says, "you trust me?"

GreyMatter, "... yes?"

Hope quickly engulfed GreyMatter in purple energy and launched him at the truck!

GreyMatter, "WOAH!"

GreyMatter lands on the truck and quickly climbs his way into the engine. He quickly begins to take apart the engine, but the truck crashes when he does so, and launches GreyMatter into a jar of jellybeans for a contest!

As the police arrive to arrest the criminals, Gwen, Max and Hope walk over to the jar.

GreyMatter plops out and says, "there are approximately one hundred and forty seven jellybeans in this jar", he plops one into his mouth and says, "make that, one hundred and forty six…."

….

With GreyMatter's intelligence, Ben easily won the contest and received a music player.

As Ben listens to his music player, Gwen is appalled that Ben cheated with GreyMatter.

Gwen, "I still can't believe you cheated in that contest."

Ben shrugged and said, "I just happened to fall into the jar and find out the number."

Hope was feeding Chester as she said, "you did eat one of the jelly beans though."

Ben, "eh."

Max, "hey Ben, I think I've got something you wanna hear. Your baseball team from Bellwood is in the Little League World Series in the next town!"

Ben, "what? Man, and if I had stayed longer, maybe I could have been a part of it. Can we go?"

Max, "sure, it'd be nice to see a good game of baseball."….

They later arrive at where the game is gonna be, and are scanned by security as they enter.

Max, "it looks like the President will be appearing at this game. Must be a big fan."

Hope, "cool. Not every day you get to see that."

Ben, meanwhile, goes over to a fence and watches the team from Bellwood practicing. But as he's watching, he fails to notice two people closing in behind him and grabbing before it's too late! They grab Ben and hang him upside down on the fence.

Ben, "hey! What's the big-"

Ben sees two familiar faces smiling at him with smug satisfaction.

Ben, "Cash and JT!"

JT, "well, well, well. I didn't think we'd see you here, Tennyson."

Ben, "how did you two jerks make the team anyway?"

Cash, "talent. 100% pure talent!"

Ben, "yeah, like you guys have any talent."

JT, "oh, well that's gonna earn you one Hell of a beating!"

"Hey!"

The boys turn and blush when they see Hope walking towards them. Hope carefully helps Ben off of the fence and asks, "are you alright, Ben?"

Ben, "ngh, yeah. Just had to deal with these turds."

Cash, "this, uh…. This your girlfriend Tennyson?"

Ben blushes when he hears that, and Hope said, "so, what if I am? Not like I'd be caught dating you losers."

Both Cash and JT looked extremely embarrassed over her words.

Ben snickered as he and the rest of them looked over to see the other baseball team arriving for practice.

The other team, called the Squires, practice with amazing skills. Extreme precision and skill are displayed within seconds as they all move together in perfect organization.

Ben smirked and said, "looks like Cash and JT will have a chance to show their…. 'Talent.'"

Hope couldn't stop chuckling at Ben's words.

….

Later, the Cannons and the Squires are playing a game, with Ben and the others watching.

The Squires skill on the game is seemingly unmatched.

And Ben takes any chance he can get to mock his bullies.

As Cash walked up to the plate, Ben yelled, "we want a pitcher! Not a hairy-"

Max quickly pulled Ben down and said, "Ben!"

Ben chuckled and said, "sorry…."

Max, "if the Cannons lose the game, they lose the series. Try to show a little more support for your team."

Ben shrugged and said, "if Cash and JT are involved, that ain't happening."

Hope watched as Gwen was looking on her computer and asked, "what're you doing?"

Gwen, "I'm looking up more on the Squires with my computer. It looks like these guys are better than any team in any league in history!"

Ben gave a sly look, and said, "uh, I'm gonna get myself another chili dog."

Hope, "bring me back a hot dog, please?"

Ben smiled and said, "sure thing."

Ben scampered off, and soon made his way under the bleachers.

He smirked and said, "I think it's time to speed up the game for the Cannons…."

Ben dialed the watch and in a green light, was now XLR8.

As the game went on, XLR8 sped around as fast as lighting, sabotaging the other team by moving the ball away, tripping up the players, etc.

He also takes time to humiliate Cash and JT, making the ball hit them, tripping them up, and even giving them wedgies at some point.

The only people to notice something strange going on were Gwen and Hope.

Max was really enjoying the game, as the ball looked like it was moving on its own.

Gwen muttered, "hmm…. Something's up…."

Gwen pulled out her phone and began filming the game as the ball seemingly moved on its own.

Hope noticed this and said, "I think I know what's going on…."

Max exclaimed, "this is great! I can't believe Ben is missing them. Where is he?"

Gwen and Hope, "chili dogs."

….

After the game has been completed, Ben sneaks into the locker room that Cash and JT are in, bragging about their win over the Squires.

Cash, "can you believe it! Those guys didn't stand a chance against us!"

JT, "yeah! The win is in the bag!"

But before they can say anything else, the Squires enter the room.

Cash, "what do you want? Come to congratulate the better players?"

The Squires didn't speak as two of them suddenly extended their arms! The robotic appendages wrapped around Cash and JT and dragged them off!

Ben quickly realizes that the Squires are robots! And they've kidnapped Cash and JT for a reason!

Ben tries to transform into an alien form, but the Omnitrix is timed out and has to recharge.

Ben grumbled, "I just had to make my team win…."

The Squires knockout Cash and JT as they drag them away.

Ben quietly follows the Squires….

….

In the Rust Bucket, Gwen slows down footage of the game from a camera to see XLR8.

Gwen, "Hope, Grandpa, come take a look at this!"

Hope and Max look over Gwen's shoulders to see the footage.

Hope, "ugh, dangit Ben!"

Gwen, "that's not everything. Ben may have been right about sabotaging these guys. I looked into their records."

Max, "and?"

Gwen, "there are none. No medical records, criminal records, school records, financial records, nothing. It's like they just came outta nowhere."

Max, "hmm…. A group that came outta nowhere, are named after a medieval term, and move like machines. Something tells me a certain group of Knights are behind this."

Hope, "we gotta find Ben and these Squires. But how?"

Max, "I can use the RustBucket to track the Omnitrix. Ben will probably be where this team is…."

….

The Squires bring Cash and JT to a large building and Ben follows and sneaks in.

They tie Cash and JT down and a large machine begins to create robot duplicates of them before their terrified eyes!

The coach of the team said, "with these duplicates, we'll have a better chance of achieving our goals…. Getting to the President…."

….

Max, Hope and Gwen arrive, but they are unable to enter.

Hope, "we gotta find a way in! Who knows what Ben's facing in there!"

….

The coach, "dispose of these children."

Cash and JT grow terrified faces as the Squires approach them.

But then, they all hear, "hey! Robo-dorks!"

They all turn to see Ben standing on a nearby rafter, having climbed up it to get a better vantage point.

Ben, "pick on someone smarter than them!'

The coach yelled, "AFTER HIM!"

Ben chuckled nervously, "I didn't mean me…."

The Squires start chucking super fast baseball's at Ben, who quickly runs and grabs a chain hanging from the ceiling, swinging back down to the ground.

He starts running as the Squires keep trying to hit him with baseballs and bats!

Luckily, the watch recharges!

Ben, "yes! Saved by the watch!"

Ben quickly dials and presses down on the watch, transforming him into DiamondHead!

DiamondHead forms a rather large bat with his arm and says, "let's play ball, tin-men!"

The Squires keep attacking DiamondHead, who uses his diamond bat to hit the balls they throw right back at them, as well as smashing the robots!

DiamondHead destroys the Cash and JT robots by hitting them with the bat into a large vat of hot metal!

DiamondHead, "ah…. I've always wanted to do that! Beat them up, that is."

….

Meanwhile, Hope, Max and Gwen climb in and free JT and Cash.

Hope used her magic to fly her and the boys to safety as Gwen and Max stayed behind to help Ben.

Gwen suddenly sees a scan of the President!

Gwen, "that's their plan! Replace the President so they can seize power!"

Max, "that ain't happening!"

Soon, the Squires leave and lock the group in, setting their machine to explode!

DiamondHead grabs onto Gwen, Hope and Max, and quickly grabs a bunch of the broken robots, crushing them into a large ball. He tosses it at the wall with all of his strength, crashing it though, and allowing the group to run out just as the building explodes in a fiery inferno!

DiamondHead turns back into Ben after he sets the others down.

Gwen, "Ben, the Squires are gonna switch the President out with a robot!"

Ben, "not if we can help it…."

….

At the game, Ben joins the Cannons, disguised in Cash's baseball outfit.

….

Meanwhile, the Squires ready their robot President!

….

JT and Cash have to stay in the Rustbucket. Cash keeps grumbling as he sits in his boxers and undershirt.

….

While pretending to be Cash, Ben goes to bat.

Gwen, Max and Hope are watching from seats they managed to get close to where the President was sitting.

Ben tries to hit the ball, but misses.

"Strike one!"

Another swing and a miss!

"Strike two!"

The last ball surges forth, but this time, luck is on Ben's side, as he manages to hit the ball, making it soar high into the air, and out of the field!

"It's a hit!

Ben runs to second base as fast as he can, and secures a safe!

The umpire, "your-"

Ben, "SAFE! I'm safe, right?"

The umpire, "er, yes! Yes you are!"

Realizing that their plan was in jeopardy, the Squires transform into robots and chase Ben!

Ben quickly runs under the bleachers and dials up the watch.

He dials up TenTen and says, "time to fight tech with tech!"

Ben slams down, but when the light fades, we see he's transformed into FourArms.

FourArms, "ugh! Brawn will have to do it."

FourArms quickly engaged the robotic players.

During this, several others attack the President. As they corner him, Max blasts one of them with a blaster on his person as Hope and Gwen use their magic to crush the others!

Max quickly saves the President, but Coach Finn arrives suddenly, and knocks them away!

FourArms had just managed to crush the remaining robots in the field, and saw the President in danger! He quickly jumped up to where the President was and destroyed the robot President as it attacked the real one, crushing it into nothing but scrap metal!

FourArms, "ha! Strike three, bucko!"

More robots suddenly arrive around FourArms as he pushes the President behind him. He sees a nearby metal pile and quickly grabs it, bending it into a giant bat!

He then battles the robots with the giant bat, smashing them to bits as they come at him!

But Coach Finn transforms into a rather terrifying robot and attacks him! FourArms uses the bat to fend off the robot, the automaton's arms striking furiously at him!

But as FourArms managed to send the robot back a few feet, he pulled the bat back and yelled, "swing, battabatta!"

He quickly swings the bat, smashing the robot clean in two, making it crash to the ground!

FourArms smirks as he transforms back into Ben.

Ben, "had enough?"

But the robot suddenly comes back to life and attacks, but Hope moves Ben out of the way and smashes the robot's head with a bat!

Ben, "woah! Thanks."

Hope, "no problem."

The robot self-destructs and falls apart into an utter mess.

Gwen, "you're out!"

Hope, "really?"

Gwen, "come on. Even I couldn't resist."

….

Later, the President is giving a speech on TV for Cash, the person who he thinks saved his life.

"I would like to extend my gratitude to the young man who saved me from those fearsome robots. Cash, prized baseball star of the Cannons!"

Ben groans and says, "and of course, those two make it out on top."

Max, "come on Ben, saving the day should be its own reward."

Ben looks at his watch and says, "yeah…."

And quick as a flash, he transforms into XLR8.

XLR8, "that doesn't mean I'm not a sore loser."

XLR8 runs off as the girls roll their eyes.

….

Cash is beginning a speech, saying, "well, I just wanna say, that I know a thing or two about courage-"

But as quick as a flash, Cash and JT are hung in the air by their underpants on a nearby flagpole.

Cash, "not again!"

….

We later see the scene of the destroyed robots.

And arriving upon the scene was Enoch and several other knights!

Enoch said, "those Tennyson's! They'll never let us be! Contact Driscoll…. It's time we took care of these pests…."

JohnaMan: thanks for clarifying. Well, I plan to undo a good chunk of changes made in Omniverse. That includes Kevin and Gwen being absent for most of it. They'll still pop up numerous times. Rook won't replace them. He'll merely be a new team member. And yes, I'll differentiate between Perk and Murk Upchuck in Xylene's episode.

Ushindi: glad you liked the chapter, and DoomStone's name. 1. I think Khyber's an interesting antagonist. 2. Countless.

Guest: I'm glad you liked the various changes I made in this chapter, and are excited for more. And I'm not sure if the Maplewood's will appear again, but characters like the North's, Hector and such will appear again.

I almost skipped this episode, but didn't because there were plenty of moments for me to play up Ben and Hope becoming a couple, and the Forever Knights making another appearance here.

The next episode won't be The Visitor. Rather, it'll be after the 2-parter with GhostFreak's return. Since the episode WAS meant to be a season finale, and was even released in that order.

And I definitely have plans for that episode! With a very big reveal that'll be different from the original show.

Also, I plan on doing an original chapter that introduces Malware, as a way to build him up for the future.

As a final note, some of you may be wondering if I'll include or not include certain aliens.

Well, the aliens I won't be using are; the Worst, Mole-Stache, FastTrack, Walkatrout, Surge, and maybe Slapback.

I plan on combining Bloxx and ShockRock into one alien, named Roxx, a living stone creature with moss on their shoulders.

Slapback, Astrodactyl and Toepick, if I use them, will have much different powers.
