Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

32. Chapter 32

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 32: The Return

It's night as we return to the Digby Dairy factory!

And who should appear, but the Werewolf; Talbot!

They walk into the factory, grumbling, "must act quickly…. Master's plan is so close to being complete!

They begin to dig up the ground.

In a matter of minutes, they dig up the frozen Mummy; Imo!

Imo smashes through the ice, sharing a look with the werewolf.

Imo, "have you completed your part of the plan, Talbot?"

Talbot, "yes, my friend. The machine has been built. Our Master shall have his prize. Now, we must take the Corrodium for phase two."

Imo nodded, "we shall not fail…."

A security guard arrives, but the aliens teleport away in a flash of purple lightning!

….

The RustBucket is driving on the same highway as a taken-over prison bus.

Hope, "how are we gonna handle this?"

Max, "Ben, you need a plan on how to get that bus to stop!"

Ben, "I'll use FourArms to stop the bus in his tracks!"

He dials the watch and presses down, but he transforms into StinkFly instead.

StinkFly, "ugh! I wanted strength! Not flight. I guess I'll have to stop the bus with StinkFly's powers!"

StinkFly takes to the air and lands on the prison bus, confronting the prisoners.

The prisoners attack StinkFly, but he blocks the windshield with slime. Prisoners climb onto the roof and then catch StinkFly in a chain, but he ties them up in it. Unfortunately at the same time StinkFly attempts to gum up the tires with slime, Max fires a laser from the RustBucket and ends up sending both vehicles out of control and in the resulting chaos, StinkFly is handcuffed to the bus while the bridge ahead is cut to pieces by the lasers and collapses.

Though the RustBucket is able to stop in time, the van flies off, but Max catches it with the RustBucket's grappling hook, and the prisoners fall into the water and attempt to swim away, but Gwen and Hope catch them with a spell, "Aquata Risa Spackwata", stopping the prisoners in their tracks.

….

Later, in the RustBucket, the Tennysons watch a news report of a spacecraft being delayed.

The reporter, "reports of a strange series of thunderstorms with discolored purple lighting is what's causing the spacecraft's launch to be delayed for the time being.

Hope, "this can't be a coincidence."

Ben, "Hope's right. We've encountered purple lightning twice now, and each time, we ran into a monster alien."

Gwen, "Ben's right. First the one in the desert."

Hope, "the werewolf, or Kai?"

Ben snickered as Gwen said, "the werewolf, Talbot."

Ben, "right, and then that mummy at the farm."

Hope, "yeah, Imo. what's next? An alien Frankenstein monster?"

Ben, "if it is, I'll buy you a soda."

Hope smiled, "sweet."

Max, "what say we turn our trip towards NASA headquarters?"

The others nod in agreement, and the RV changes its course to Cape Canaveral….

….

At NASA, a scientist named Dr. Viktor gives a very long presentation about his work, with some sort of sinister motive behind his words….

….

Meanwhile, the Tennyson crew approach the front of the building.

Ben, "I could probably use Upgrade to get the locks and everything open."

Max, "that won't be necessary Ben. I've got someone on the inside who can get us in legally."

Within a few minutes, the doors soon opened up, revealing an older scientist named Dr. Shueman inside.

Dr. Shueman, "well, well, well. Maxwell Tennyson! It's great to see you!"

The two men share a handshake.

Max, "it's great to see you too. I really appreciate you letting us have a tour of the place. The kids are really into space travel right now."

Dr. Shueman, "of course. Now, follow me."

The group started walking down the halls of the place, and as they walked in front of a certain portrait, Ben pointed out, "Grandpa, is that you?"

The group stopped to look at the picture. It was Max in an orange space suit meant for those who trained to become astronauts.

Max chuckled and said, "yep. My days back at NASA."

Dr. Shueman, "oh, imagine if you had stuck around a little longer. History might have been a lot different."

Gwen, "what do you mean by that?"

Dr. Shueman, "Max never told you? He was supposed to be the first man on the moon!"

Ben, Gwen and Hope all looked at Max in shock.

Max shrugged and said, "I guess I got cold feet. Still, I always remember my days here very fondly…."

As the group entered another room to look at a rather large machine, Ben accidentally bumped into someone.

Ben, "oh, er, sorry."

The person he bumped into was Dr. Viktor.

Dr. Viktor stares intently at the Omnitrix for a moment, making Ben cover it up with his wristband with a skeptical expression.

Dr. Viktor turned to Dr. Shueman, "Dr. Shueman, you're not allowed to have uninvited and unauthorized visitors."

Dr. Shueman, "sorry Doctor, uh, Viktor?"

Dr. Shueman didn't seem to recognize Dr. Viktor. That didn't go unnoticed by the others.

Dr. Shueman, "I was just giving Max and his family here a quick look around, since he used to work here."

Dr. Viktor, "that is not an excuse. They must leave."

Dr. Shueman, "sorry Max, but you're gonna have to leave."

Max, "it's fine. Maybe I'll call ahead and schedule an authorized visit. Come on kids."

Max and the kids walked past the doctors, with Dr. Viktor keeping his gaze on Ben until they rounded a corner. Dr. Viktor quickly walks off into another room, with Dr. Shueman following, not quite trusting him.

Rather than leaving the place, Max leads the group into an old control room.

Max, "something's going on here. We can't leave just yet."

Hope, "maybe we should watch some pre-launch footage. There might be answers there."

Max, "good idea Hope."

Max and Gwen started grabbing the footage and plugging it into a nearby projector.

….

Dr. Shueman approached Dr. Viktor as he worked.

Dr. Shueman, "you. I don't trust you, Viktor. I was looking over your credentials. I've never heard of any of these places you work for. Or any of these former employers. If you don't explain what's going on, I'm calling the po-"

Suddenly, Dr. Shueman is wrapped up in bandages! Imo emerges from some nearby shadows, holding Dr. Shueman in its grasp!

Imo, "foolish humans…."

Dr. Viktor turns to Imo and says, "hide him somewhere where he won't cause any trouble. We can't have any interference."

Imi nodded as it carried Dr. Shueman off.

The next to appear from the shadows was Talbot!

Dr. Viktor, "and you…. The boy with the Omnitrix is here. Do not let him get in the way of our plans."

Talbot growled, "the brat left me trapped in a sealed off cave. I had to dig my way out until my paws bled…. I'll enjoy feasting on his flesh…."

Talbot dashed off to take care of Ben.

….

Meanwhile, the group watches the pre-launch footage for clues.

Hope, "is there anything else we can do?"

Ben, "maybe there's clues in this place. That Dr. Viktor guy seemed kinda off. Let's investigate."

Hope nodded as she and Ben left Max and Gwen to continue their own clue finding.

Ben and Hope soon wander off into a very large room with a giant spinning machine.

Ben, "cool."

Hope hears something above them and says, "did you hear that?"

Ben and Hope both stopped and looked around. Ben's hand hovered closer to the watch, when suddenly, Talbot jumps down and attacks them!

Ben, "gah! You again!? What, did the three little pigs dig you out?!"

Talbot growled, "shut it, kid! I'm gonna enjoy sucking the meat off your bones!"

Hope quickly forms a shield of purple magic around them, with Talbot clawing at it in anger!

Talbot, "let me in!"

Ben, "time to turn up the heat!"

Ben slams down on the watch, but rather than transforming into Heatblast, he transforms into his mummy/ Thep Khufan form. DoomStone looked Imo, but with green eyes and the Omnitrix on their chest.

DoomStone, "oh come on! Bandages against claws!"

Talbot managed to break through the shield, and DoomStone acts quick, crashing into them!

….

While in the control room, Gwen and Max observe footage of Dr. Viktor controlling the purple lightning!

Gwen, "Ben was right! This guy is connected directly to this whole thing!"

Max, "let's go find him and Hope before things get worse!"

….

DoomStone can't figure out how to work his powers as he fights Talbot, only being able to dodge or get smacked around until he accidentally activates the machine.

Hope, "use the machine to take care of that thing!"

DoomStone yelled back, "way ahead of ya!"

DoomStone dodges it while fighting Talbot, and they jump onto it and continue trading blows. Or rather, the alien Werewolf continues to try and hit DoomStone.

Talbot, "I'll rip you apart for leaving me in that cave!"

Hope keeps sending blasts of magic at Talbot, but he merely dodges them as it keeps attacking DoomStone.

Talbot, "you and that witch bitch will be my dinner before this day is over!"

DoomStone sees one of the machine's parts is racing at the Werewolf from behind.

DomStone, "that's what you think, Big Bad and Ugly!"

DomStone quickly dodges it as it smacks into Talbot and flings them through the wall!

Hope quickly uses her magic to get to DoomStone as he jumps onto a control platform for the machine.

But before they can blink, Max and Gwen are there, with the former hitting DoomStone over the railing. The mummy was just barely able to hang on!

Hope, "Max, stop!"

Max looks at Hope in confusion before he finally spots the Omnitrix symbol.

Max, "Ben! Sorry!"

Max and Gwen help DoomStone up as he says, "it's alright. I've gotta start training with this guy to see what he can actually do!"

And with the familiar blinking red light, DoomStone reverts back into Ben.

Ben, "with the Werewolf being here, something bad must be going down."

Gwen, "we know. We saw footage of Dr. Viktor messing with that purple lightning."

Hope, "so he's directly involved with the mummy and werewolf."

Ben, "and it's up to us to stop whatever they have planned!"

That's when they hear a rather large crackle of thunder, with purple light going across the entire area.

Ben, "that can't be a coincidence."

The group runs off to investigate the purple lightning.

They soon arrive at a graveyard full of old parts.

Hope, "what's with all of these parts?"

Max, "they must be building something."

Gwen, "and I don't think any of us are gonna like it."

Suddenly, Talbot arrives, jumping in front of our heroes, and growling up a storm.

Talbot, "I'm getting sick and tired of this little game! Just let me eat you already!"

They attack the group, and just as they're about to let loose a sonic howl, Max muzzles him and prevents him from screaming.

Max, "not today, Fido!"

Talbot tries slashing at Max and Hope, forcing them to back up as Hope once again starts forming magic shields to protect them.

Before they can even blink, Imo appears!

Ben, "didn't we freeze him at Digby Dairy?!"

Gwen, "well it looks like someone thawed him out!"

Imo growled, "you impudent little brats will pay for belaying our plans!"

Imo goes after Ben and Gwen in hopes of using their Corrodium to transform them!

Ben, "come on! Give me something that won't mutate!"

Ben attempts to transform into FourArms again, but when he transforms in the green light, Cannonbolt stands there instead!

He exclaims, "not what I was going for, but I'll take it!"

Cannonbolt knocks Imo down, and quickly grabs Gwen in order to protect them from the Mummy's Corrodium.

Then, Talbot finally managed to break through the shield Hope put up!

He growled, "you're gonna make a fine meal!"

Cannonbolt quickly saved them and Max from the monster alien, grabbing them in midair and rolling a few feet away! As they all stand together, Cannonbolt is suddenly hit by a bolt of purple lighting that sends him crashing to the ground!

Max, Hope and Gwen see that the culprit is Dr. Viktor!

Hope, "okay, how the flying heck can he do that?!"

And before their very eyes, Dr. Viktor starts to transform! His body grows, his clothes rip and tear, and he grows more frightening in a monstrous Frankenstein-esque appearance! With tesla coils on their back, one eye larger than the other and more mechanical looking, with various stitches and bolts built into them!

Hope, "oh, I SO called!"

Cannonbolt, "if we make it through this, I'm buying you TWO sodas."

Max, "he's an alien too! A Transylian."

Hope, "a what?!"

Max, "aliens that resemble the Frankenstein monster. They can control lightning and build parts of their bodies to become stronger!"

Dr. Viktor, "indeed. Fitting that you would know, Max Tennyson."

Max, "you know who I am?"

Dr. Viktor, "of course. My master spoke of you and your infernal Plumbers. And once our plan is complete, he shall rise again!"

The three monster aliens regroup and approach our heroes.

Talbot, "you can't stop us now!"

Imo, "the moment is at hand!"

Hope and Gwen cast a spell at the aliens, "Twista Combititus", but nothing happens.

Viktor attacks with a bolt of lightning, but a spirit guardian from the spell blocks his shot and a tower is knocked down onto the Tennysons!

The aliens leave the graveyard, thinking that their enemies had been taken care of.

But suddenly, the debris is pushed off of the group by Cannonbolt, who easily frees Max, Hope and Gwen from the rubble before reverting back into Ben in the familiar red light.

Ben, "that was close!"

Max, "they must be taking the Corrodium to the ship."

Ben, "we gotta stop them."

Hope, "let's split up. Ben and I will deal with the aliens."

Max, "right. Gwen and I will go to the control room and try to stop that shuttle."

And so, Ben and Hope follow the aliens and Max and Gwen head for the control room.

….

As Ben and Hope follow the monster aliens, they discover a very old ship.

Dr. Viktor is busying himself with some sort of machine.

Hope, "what is that thing?"

Ben, "I dunno, but it can't be good."

Dr. Viktor slowly raises the machine to another level and our heroes climb on without him noticing.

Dr. Viktor turns to Talbot and says, "I'm sending you back to the machine in the desert. Activate it, and our plan will be closer to completion. Our master shall return!"

Talbot growled, "I can't wait to see what he'll do to those little brats!"

Talbot howls as they are teleported back to the reservation in a flash of purple lightning, where he activates the equipment they stole.

….

Gwen and Max return back into the control room.

But when Max tried to work the controls, he couldn't access anything!

Max, "ngh. I can't get access to the ship."

Gwen, "Dr. Viktor must've locked us out! How are we gonna stop their plans?"

Max and Gwen look over at the wall at some hazmat suits.

….

A few moments later, we see them climbing into the shuttle with the Corrodium in it in the hazmat suits.

Gwen, "well, it looks like you finally get to go to space."

Max, "who said I never went to space?"

Gwen, "huh? But Dr. Shueman said…."

Max, "I went to space. Just not with Nasa. I'll tell you kids all about it when we get through this…."

….

Ben and Hope climb onto the platform behind Viktor, and Ben transforms, gaining his attention. He turns to see Ben, now as Silverfang, and Hope with her magic ready.

Silverfang, "we ain't letting you activate that machine."

Dr. Viktor's hands became engulfed in purple lightning as he growled out, "it's time to finish you little pests off!"

Dr. Viktor moves too fast for Silverfang and knocks him to the edge of the platform.

As he rises back to his feet, Dr. Viktor attacks Silverfang, who dodges the strikes as fast as he can!

Hope starts shooting bolts of magic at Dr. Viktor, and it singes his skin as it hits him. The three continue to fight, and as Silverfang and Hope are sent a few feet away, Viktor connects to his machine and opens a portal.

It starts to suck several things in, including Hope and Silverfang!

Hope grabs onto Silverfang's tail as he wraps his arms and legs around the platform.

He yelps at the pull on his tail, but then yells, "hang on!"

Dr. Viktor slams his fist down on a button that launches the shuttle that Max and Gwen have entered into the air, roaring towards space!

Dr. Viktor activates his machine!

He began to laugh like a madman and yell, "rise, my master! Rise and destroy those who ended your reign!"

As a body began to twist and pull itself out of the portal, Silverfang said, "no! It can't be! He's dead!"

Hope yelled, "who?!"

The body began to take a familiar shape as it exited the portal, and the machine shut down.

Their skin was a sickly gray. Their head was an upside down skull with a glowing purple eye, sharp claws and stitches all over his body. A swirling tail acted as legs.

It was Zs'Skayr!

Silverfang muttered, "GhostFreak!"

Hope, "dear God."

Dr. Viktor, "my master! You have returned!"

Zs'Skayr, "indeed! You have served me well, Dr. Viktor. You and the others will be greatly rewarded!"

Silverfang reverts back into Ben as Zs'Skayr glares at him.

Zs'Skayr, "you…."

Ben muttered, "oh my God…."

….

As the shuttle arrives into outer space, we see that the Mummy has hitched a ride!

….

Ben and Hope quickly began to run as fast as they could as Zs'Skayr pursued them with Dr. Viktor close behind!

Zs'Skayr, "I have a score to settle with you…. TENNYSON!"

Monkey D. Conan: thanks. Yeah, I only took away certain aliens. And the classic aliens will appear a lot more often once Ben unlocks them during the end of the Highbreed arc. And yeah, Ben will slowly begin to understand the Omniteix a lot more as time goes on, especially with help from certain characters. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the chapter.

Guest: yeah, I thought it'd be neat for Max to figure out who qas behind thw Squires. And I'm glad you liked my inclusion of Driscoll being mentioned and how Hope added to this chapter. I'm not really a fan of the reboot, so I doubt any of rhe characters from that other than some of the aliens will appear. But I'm glad you appreciate the continuity I'm trying to build. And yeah, Hector will be another retuning character. Perhaps as a member of the Plumbers. And yep, Malware will have an expanded role for a certain chapter that will be released after the season 3 finale. And yeah, I plan on splitting up each series into one story.
