Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

33. Chapter 33

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 33: Be Afraid of the Dark

When we last left Hope and Ben, they were running from Zs'Skayr and Dr. Viktor!

As the two kids run, Dr. Viktor tries shooting them with lightning!

Zs'Skayr, "leave the boy alive. The girl you can destroy to your heart's content."

As Ben and Hope run, Ben says, "we need to get outta here!"

They then hear Zs'Skayr shout, "what's the matter, Tennyson? Aren't you glad to see me? Haven't you learned by now that nothing can stop me?!"

Ben, "nothing except…."

Ben quickly dials the watch and transforms, but turns into GreyMatter.

GreyMatter, "GreyMatter?! Aw, man, gimme a break!"

Hope sees a nearby floor grate, and quickly uses her magic to open it.

Hope, "down here!"

Hope and GreyMatter jump down and place the grate back where it was, escaping Dr. Viktor as he passed above them a few moments later!

….

Meanwhile, in outer space.

Grandpa Max tries to bring the shuttle to Earth.

Max, "come on. Come on. We need to get this Corrodium out of space, or else! Who knows what Viktor is planning!?"

….

Zs'Skayr and Viktor continue searching for Ben and Hope.

Zs'Skayr, "we must find the boy! Our plans will be ruined if he escapes!"

Dr. Viktor, "Master, why do you need the boy alive?"

Zs'Skayr growled and launched Dr. Viktor into the wall, "Tennyson was the first being to wear the Omnitrix after my DNA was added to it. If I want to become whole again, I need him! Alive! And once I have his DNA, I shall use the Corrodium to transform everyone on this planet into beasts for me to rule! Think of it as revenge against that brat for keeping me in his Omnitrix for so long!"

GreyMatter and Hope hear all of this as they hide in a machine.

Hope, "did you hear that?"

GreyMatter, "yeah. We gotta call Grandpa and Gwen."

Hope quickly pulls out a communicator Max had given her.

Hope activated it and said, "Gwen? Max? Are you there?"

"Hope? It's Gwen. What's going on?"

GreyMatter, "we just figured out Viktor's. He and his buddies were using these machines to bring back an old friend of ours. GhostFreak."

Max, "GhostFreak?!"

Gwen, "they brought back that nutball!? This can't get any worse!"

GreyMatter, "wrong! When you hear what I'm about to say, you're gonna wish you had my alien muscle with you."

Gwen, "since when is GreyMatter muscle?"

GreyMatter, "ha ha ha. Anyway, GhostFreak is planning on using the Corrodium to turn the Earth into his own personal kingdom, blocking out the sun in the process, and he needs my DNA to become whole again!"

Max, "this isn't good. Gwen and I will try to deal with the Corrodium. You and Hope deal with the situation there."

Hope, "you got it."

GreyMatter, "be careful."

Max, "you too."

Gwen, "stay safe."

As the call ended, they heard their pursuers still looking for them.

GreyMatter sees some of the parts around them and begins grabbing them as he says, "I've got an idea."

….

Max and Gwen are walking through the ship as Max says, "my suit can scan for the Corrodium. It's moving…."

Gwen, "LOOK OUT!"

The two jump outta the way as a bandage whips the ground where they had stood moments ago.

They looked to see Imo standing there with an evil look in their eyes.

Imo, "you foolish humans won't stand in Zs'Skayr's way!"

….

Viktor and Zs'Skayr arrive at GreyMatter's location.

Viktor, "he must be here somewhere…."

GreyMatter and Hope keep as quiet as they can be, but that's right when the watch starts blinking red!

GreyMatter, "mother-!"

In a flash of red, Ben and Hope are now holding onto one another as their enemies draw closer to the machine.

Ben can't help the blush that spreads across his face.

….

Gwen tries to cast a spell, "Emocha Objectia!"

But it only inflates her spacesuit and sends her flying!

Gwen, "I forgot about this crap!"

She flies around the room for a moment before she crashes into her grandpa, taking him with her and accidentally locking the two in an airlock.

Max, "ngh, come on!"

Max tries to get out, but Imo opens it with a press of a button.

Max and Gwen scream as they are sucked into space!

Imo, "goodbye, humans!"

The airlock closes, and Max and Gwen quickly magnetize onto a space station.

Gwen, "phew, that was close. Guess I learned the hard way: never use magic in these suits!"

….

Viktor tears open the machine Ben and Hope are in and Ben conceals a small machine in his pocket.

Viktor grabs them both, the Omnitrix in his grasp as he pulls them out of the machine!

As he touched the watch, it began blinking yellow for a few moments.

Zs'Skayr, "now! Give me the Omnitrix!"

Ben, "not if I can help it!"

Ben quickly pulls out a tiny laser gun of some kind.

He fires at Zs'Skayr, hitting them with a beam of sunlight and forcing them to retreat!

Hope, "a sun-gun?"

Ben, "it was GreyMatter's idea!"

Hope takes this chance to shoot Viktor in the face with a bolt of magic, making him drop the kids as he clutches his eye.

Hope shoots a beam of pink magic at Viktor, sending him flying into his machine, and electrocuting him!

Ben sees the watch turn green again and says, "time for an Upgrade."

Ben slams down and luckily transforms into Upgrade as he intended.

He quickly merges with Viktor's rocket machine as Hope forms a bubble around her with her magic and makes it cling to the rocket.

Upgrade uses his powers to blast him and Hope into space with the rocket, but Viktor grabs on, yelling, "you're not getting away!"

As the rocket soars through space, Upgrade pokes his head out next to Hope.

Upgrade, "can't this guy take a hint?!"

Viktor attacks Upgrade, but Upgrade shoots and punches Viktor, forcing him to clutch the rocket so he wouldn't go sailing off.

….

Imo begins loading the Corrodium into the ray and aims it at the transmitter.

"I don't think so!"

Iml is shot away, and as he reforms, he sees Max holding a laser gun with Gwen by his side, holding an antenna as a weapon.

Imo, "I've had enough of you filthy human heroes!"

The three race at one another!

….

Upgrade and Viktor continue to fight.

Upgrade gets out of the machine and lands a punch on Viktor.

As Viktor is sent a few feet away, Hope points at the station and yells, "Ben, come on!"

Hope sends her bubble flying to the station as Upgrade follows behind. Viktor tries to reach for them, but fails.

Upgrade and Hope land on the station and quickly enter inside through an airlock as Viktor flies off into space, yelling in rage!

….

As Upgrade and Hope look around, they start to hear a fight going on.

Upgrade, "Grandpa and Gwen!"

Hope, "come on!"

The two race into another room to see Imo fighting Max and Gwen.

Upgrade quickly shoots Imo , sending them away from the others!

Max, "nice one Ben!"

Imo gets up and growls, "I'm going to enjoy killing you all and feeding you to Talbot!

Hope, "not when you're lost in space!"

Max opens a nearby airlock, and Upgrade shoots Imo before he can react, sending them into the airlock! Gwen quickly hits a switch that closes the door to the airlock.

As soon as that's over, Upgrade reverts to Ben.

Ben, "with him in there, we just gotta stop that laser!"

But suddenly, the station begins shaking!

Hope, "too late!"

The Corrodium ray begins to fire, and Zs'Skayr appears.

Zs'Skayr, "you've failed! And now my Empire shall rise from the ashes of your Earth!"

….

The ray fires through arriving at Talbot's transmitter and reflecting all over the world. A field of Corrodium spreads over the Earth, and every human on Earth slowly begins to mutate!

Talbot, "yes! Yes! Hahahaha! The Earth now belongs to Zs'Skayr!"

….

Zs'Skayr flies past the Tennyson's faster than they can react, and he opens the airlock, releasing Imo.

Imo grabs the Tennysons with his bandages and says, "you're not going to like what happens next…."

Zs'Skayr, "you can't stop me now. I'm going to toss you four into the vacuum of space, where no one will be able to hear you scream!"

Gwen, "no! Please don't toss us into space! Especially not without our space suits!"

Zs'Skayr, "now there's an idea. You! Rip those space suits off! It'll make their deaths an absolute nightmare!"

Imo quickly tears the space suits off of Max and Gwen.

Ben, "great idea, Gwen."

Gwen, "oh, you have no idea. Appendage-A Regoria!"

Without the suits, Gwen is able to use her magic, forcing Imo to let go of them and fall to the ground in a twisted mess!

Ben, "woah, great idea Gwen!"

Gwen, "thanks."

Hope, "I've gotta study that spell more often. That was cool."

Zs'Skayr, "you've learned some new tricks since we last met, child."

Ben, "she's not the only one!"

Ben dialed up the newest addition to his watch, turning him into a Transylian like Dr. Viktor, but both eyes were normal, his hair was spiky, and his lightning was green!

He said, "electromagnetic body? Sweet."

He shoots a bolt of lightning at Zs'Skayr, sending him back as this new alien yells, "strike from the Frankenstein monster! Hmm, Frankenstrike? I like the sound of that. Woah-!"

Zs'Skayr grabs Frankenstrike and phases him out of the ship.

Hope, "BEN!"

….

In space, Zs'Skayr is at full power!

He and Frankenstrike land on a part of the shuttle.

Zs'Skayr, "in the pitch black of space, I am unrivaled in my power! You have no chance of winning, Tennyson!"

Frankenstrike cracks his knuckles and says, "maybe not. But I sure as Hell am gonna try!"

The two race at one another, and begin a furious battle!

….

The shuttle blasts away from the station and it is piloted by Max.

Max, "come on! Come on!"

Hope looks out the viewport, and she sees something that makes her go, "oh crap."

Max, "what? What's the…. Oh crap."

The machine with Viktor on it arrives and crashes into the shuttle! He is clinging to the shuttle as he glares in anger.

….

Gwen is at the control panel of the ray, trying to stop the machine.

Gwen, "come on! Come on! Reanima Verdanica! Ngh, Reanima Dynamica? Agh! Can this get any worse?"

That's when a shadow falls over her. She turns to see Imo back on his feet and glaring at her.

Imo, "boo."

Gwen quickly runs, not wanting the alien corrodium to corrupt her.

She runs into the bathroom that was on the ship, and hides in a stall as Imo crashes into the room with murderous intent.

Imo, "you can't hide, you little brat! You'll die before that fool can even hope to stop Lord Zs'Skayr!"

Gwen quickly climbs upwards, so the Mummy can't see her from above as he looks into her stall.

Imo, "where are you!?"

She quickly pounces and pushes the Mummy's head into the toilet and hits the switch! Imo was pulled down by the suction of the water, and disappeared from sight!

Gwen took a sigh of relief as she said, "never thought I'd be saved from a killer Mummy alien by a toilet, but I ain't complaining."

….

Zs'Skayr and Frankenstrike keep trading blasts outside of the ship. And as luck would have it, Ini was flung out of the station, after getting flushed, and wrapped his arms around Frankenstrike, sending him crashing down as they were pulled back to the ship.

Frankenstrike looks at both aliens and says, "two against one? Not good odds."

….

Max, "hold on Hope! And you better get a suit on!"

Hope and Max quickly put space suits on as Max turns the shuttle around!

It crashes into Dr. Viktor, forcing him to push on it and the ray! Dr. Viktor is dislodged and in the process, the shuttle is able to destroy the Corrodium Ray!

….

Talbot is caught in the resulting explosion of the transmitter when this happens, and everything on Earth un-mutates!

….

Zs'Skayr, "no! You've ruined everything! You're going to pay for this, Tennyson!"

Zs'Skayr tries shooting at Frankenstrike, but he accidentally shoots Imk!

Imo screams in agony as he is torn apart and the bandages fly into Dr. Viktor's grasp as he lands before Ben and Zs'Skayr.

Frankenstrike is surrounded by Zs'Skayr and Dr. Viktor.

Frankenstrike sees Dr. Viktor grabbing a small ray gun of some kind.

He growls, "this isn't over, boy!"

Viktor opens a portal of some kind, and he and the remains of the Mummy are sucked in!

Frankenstrike turned to Zs'Skayr and said, "you better start hiding."

Zs'Skayr, "and why is- AAAAGGGGHHHH!"

The sun began to shine again, and Zs'Skayr quickly disappeared.

Frankenstrike goes back into the space station through an airlock, and reverts back into Ben after it's closed.

Ben sees Gwen running to him.

Ben, "what's the rush?"

Gwen, "after the ray was destroyed, it damaged the station beyond repair! We've gotta get outta here before it explodes! I've only got one suit though!"

Ben, "crap!"

Gwen puts a suit around her and Ben and they are ejected into space via using the airlock.

Then, the station explodes.

Gwen, "phew. That was a close call."

Ben, "so what now? We just float around for God knows how long?"

Gwen, "ugh. I'm just glad we haven't eaten much today. I don't wanna be stuck in here when one of us passes gas."

Ben, "agreed."

But, luck is on their side, as they see the ship approaching!

Max uses a hook of some kind to grab onto the pair and pull them into the shuttle.

We soon see the four heroes sitting down as the ship starts heading back towards Earth.

Ben, "phew. I'm glad we took care of those guys. Together."

Hope, "we all make a great team in these situations, don't we?"

Max, "you said it."

But it wasn't over yet!

Suddenly, Zs'Skayr emerged from the floor and grabbed Ben!

Hope, "Ben!"

Zs'Skayr, "you didn't think this was over, did you?! You may have destroyed my machine, but you won't stop me from becoming whole again, you pathetic little brat!"

Gwen sees the button of the airlock, and quickly smashes her fist against it!

This opens the airlock and Max quickly points it at the sun! Zs'Skayr drops Ben as he writhes in agony! Hope sends a blast of magic at him, sending him further into the sun's rays, and disintegrating him!

Zs'Skayr explodes in a flash of dust! Defeated by the Tennyson family once again!

But due to this, the ship starts going haywire!

Max, "oh no! The ship's overheating from that! We're gonna crash!"

Ben sees the watch is green again and says, "not if I can help it!"

As the ship explodes, we see a flash of green, and a large round object starts racing towards Earth!

Upon a closer look, we see that it's Cannonbolt!

He had grabbed the others and curled up around them to save them!

Cannonbolt safely re-enters Earth's atmosphere and lands in Egypt!

A huge cloud of dust kicks up from the crash before the alien reverts back into Ben.

Ben, "thanks guys. For doing all of that with the airlock."

Gwen, "no problem. Thanks for saving us from blowing up."

Hope, "yeah. I'm glad this all worked out in the end."

Ben, "yep. And at least we've seen the last of GhostFreak…. Uh, guys? Where are we?"

They all look around, seeing pyramids and a desert around them.

Max, "hang on, I think I've got someone we can call…."

….

Many miles away, at the sight of the destroyed transmitter, we see something emerge from a portal.

Emerging from the portal was Viktor.

He now had the bandages of Imo wrapped around his arms and legs, as if to hold them together.

He looked around and saw the singed pelt of Talbot.

He grabs it and drapes it across his shoulders.

He looked very injured, and was clutching his arm as he growled, "when I find that child, he will rue the day he messed with me!"

And glad we can agree the reboot stunk, but had potential. And while a few reboot aliens may appear, I don't think any of the villains will. Yes, each sequel will be its own story.
