38. Chapter 38

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 38: Perfect Day

We begin another adventure with the Tennyson family as Ben wakes up to a bright and sunny day.

As he got dressed, he noticed the Omnitrix acting weirdly, sparking wildly for a moment before it ceases.

He whispers, "that was strange. Did Azmuth add something screwy to the watch when he fixed it?"

That's when Ben smells something odd.

In that…. It smelled delicious!

Ben walks into the kitchen and is astonished to see that Max has made a normal breakfast! Bacon and eggs!

Max smiled and said, "morning, champ!"

Ben, "uh…. Hi…."

He looked down at the plate. Grandpa Max made a normal breakfast? Something had to be up.

Ben, "so is this groundhog bacon, and salamander eggs?"

Grandpa Max just laughed and said, "nope! Just good ol' American bacon and eggs!"

Ben decided to risk it and took a bite.

The food actually tastes great!

Ben took this chance to scarf down the only normal food his grandpa had ever made for him in a few minutes.

After he finished eating, rubbing his satisfied stomach, he asked, "so, where's Gwen, Hope and Grandma?"

Max said, "oh, they're outside, enjoying this beautiful day. I'll finish up the dishes. You go ahead outside."

Ben shrugged and obliged.

As Ben stepped outside, things kept getting more…. Confusing.

Passing nearby was a school bus…. Which suddenly blew a tire!

As the girls inside of the bus screamed, Ben quickly pushed his confusion aside and dialed up an alien. Slamming down on the watch turned him into Doomstone, who quickly sprung into action!

He wrapped a bunch of bandages around the bus to slow it down. Suddenly, Gwen, Hope and Xylene, (in a human disguise that made her look like a woman of Grandpa Max's age), used their magic/telekinesis to help!

But before he got a second to rest, a spaceship flew over and landed nearby. And from it, emerged SixSix and Vulkanus!

Doomstone, "oh, great…. Just what I needed: MORE problems."

Hope, "we'll take care of the bus! You stop them!"

Doomstone, "right!"

But as he ran at SixSix and Vulkanus, he found it strange that the former was here on Earth. The last he saw him, Tetrax and EightEight had sent him flying through space!

But those thoughts were put on hold as Vulkanus managed a lucky hit on Doomstone, sending him flying back to the others.

Gwen ran over to him and asked, "are you alright?"

Doomstone grunted as he got to his feet, "soon as everything stops spinning, I should be just peachy…."

But that's when what Gwen said caught up to him.

He asked, "wait…. Did you ask if I was okay?"

Gwen, "sure, why wouldn't I? You're acting kinda strange, Ben."

Doomstone tried to shrug Gwen's words off, as strange as they were, and formed his hands into whios as he glared at SixSix and Vulkanus.

Doomstone declared as he charged into action once more, "you guys are seriously going down!"

SixSix pulled out a blade of their own and began swinging at Doomstone.

Doomstone growled, "how the Hell did you get back on Earth!?"

SixSix grunted something in his native tongue, and started attacking Doomstone, furiously slashing his sword at him.

Doomstone quickly grabbed a nearby road sign to use as a weapon.

Their weapons kept clashing left and right!

Doomstone, "I could use a little help here!"

Gwen called as she started chanting another of her spells, "I'm on it!"

Hope joined in as the two chanted a spell that began to create ice around Vulkanus and SixSix's legs, allowing Doomstone to get a better hit on both of them!

Meanwhile, Xylene was still working on keeping the bus steady.

She grunted to herself, "those Thep Khufan bandages could really come in handy right now!"

Doomstone, "give me a minute!"

Vulkanus managed to break free and ran past everyone, and suddenly grabbed the bus!

He lifted it over his head and yelled, "catch this!"

He launches the bus through the air, the girls on it screaming in fear until Doomstone manages to extend his hands and grabs the bus in midair, his feet digging into the ground as he does so!

Doomstone, "oh, man! Ngh! This is gonna be a serious catch!"

He grunted as he tried harder and harder to keep the bus from falling. Finally, they stopped, and Doomstone lowered the bus to the ground.

Doomstone turns to Vulkanus and growls, "you're toast, ya big orange idiot!"

Doomstone forms his fists into large clubs and runs at Vulkanus, hitting him in the face, sending him flying into the air and into a dumpster!

Doomstone, "oh yeah! Looks like I took out the trash!"

The cheerleaders whooped and hollered, before SixSix grabbed one of the girls off the bus and used her as a hostage, while he pointed his blaster at her.

Doomstone took a stance.

Doomstone, "you have a lot to learn about school spirit."

He quickly grabbed a rock and threw it at SixSix, managing to hit his jetpack, forcing him to let go of the girl and start rocketing into the air!

Doomstone chuckled and said, "and this time, stay flying through space!"

The cheerleaders all cheered, as did Gwen, Hope and Xylene, which Doomstone found a little strange….

Doomstone extended his hand, and a series of bandages formed around the busted wheel like a makeshift tire.

Doomstone, "there…. That oughta hold for a while."

The bus begins driving away, and Doomstone is shocked to see a certain someone on the bus.

Kai Green, dressed in a cute cheerleader outfit!

Doomstone, "huh? Kai? When did….? How…?"

As the bus drove off, Gwen approached and asked, "didn't she break your heart after we beat that werewolf in the desert?"

Doomstone, "huh? Oh, yeah, thanks for reminding me. Anyway, I moved on, remember?"

Doomstone turns his gaze towards Hope, who is standing right in front of the sunlight, making her look like an angel as her silver hair blows through the wind.

Doomstone smirks and says, "nice…."

But still, it was very confusing how Kai would be on that exact bus…. Away from her grandpa…. It didn't add up in Ben's mind….

….

We later see the RustBucket arriving at a pizza place!

One of those kinds that has an arcade.

But Ben still couldn't help but think something was going on. He just couldn't figure out what exactly.

It wouldn't keep him from trying to have some fun, though. So he ate plenty of pepperoni pizza, totally dominated at skeeball, won a T-shirt for being the 1,000,000th Customer, and he got kissed on the cheeks by two of the cute teenage girls working there!

That last one caused Hope to chase after the girls with the mallet from a whack-a-mole game, much to the group's amusement.

But as the group sat down for a moment, Ben stared down at the Omnitrix. It was blinking green rapidly for a few moments before the beeping suddenly stopped!

Ben, "Grandpa, Grandma, I think something's wrong with the watch."

Xylene, "oh, I'm sure it's just your imagination."

Ben shrugged, trying to forget the uneasy feeling growing inside of him, wanting to enjoy the rest of this day.

So, the group walked out of the place as Ben said, "can this day get any better?"

Suddenly, there was a honking sound heard as a truck passed by and hung left before some boxes fell out of the back end.

Ben and the others walked over to the boxes, and Ben was surprised to see the newest Sumo Slammers game in it! Sumo Slammers Super Smash Smackdown 3!

Ben, "no way! The new Sumo Slammers game! This isn't supposed to be out for another three weeks!"

Gwen, "wow, what luck. And that's coming from Lucky Girl."

Ben, "but, shouldn't we return the game?"

Max, "nah, that truck's long gone. I say, play away!"

Ben blinked. Oooookay, that DEFINITELY didn't sound like what Grandpa would tell him to do.

Hope got close and said, "come on, let's see what this game has in store?"

Ben grew more confused, but tried to think nothing of it as the group piled into the RV….

….

We later see Ben playing his game as Hope snuggled up next to him.

Meanwhile, Max, Gwen and Xylene make their way into the RustBucket.

said, "anything you kids want for a snack?"

Ben, "hmm…. I dunno. Mac-n-cheese bites, maybe?"

Max, "good choice."

Hope gets up and says, "I'll be right back, I gotta use the bathroom."

Ben, "oh, okay."

Hope walked into the RustBucket with the others as Ben continued his game.

But suddenly, running in from behind the RV was…. Max, Xylene, Hope and Gwen!?

Hope, "Ben! Thank God you're alright!"

Ben, "yep. Hey, where are those snacks you were bringing?"

Max, "Ben, you have to listen to us; none of this is real!"

Ben, "I had a feeling something was up."

Xylene, "we have to get you out of here, now!"

Ben, "but how do I know you're not an illusion or something?"

Gwen, "oh come on! Are you really that much of a dweeb!?"

Ben smirked and said, "yep, you're the real Gwen, alright."

Gwen, "glad to see you're still somewhat functional in the cognitive area. Now let's go!"

And that was right when the doppelganger's of Ben's family suddenly came out of the RustBucket.

The copies glared at the real ones and said, "Ben! Don't listen to them! They're fakes!"

Ben crossed his arms and said, "okay, talking in unison is a HUGE red flag!"

Xylene quickly used her telekinesis to fling the copies away as the group ran back into the RustBucket and drove off!

Ben, "will somebody please explain what the heck is going on!?"

Max, "they're imposters, created to keep an eye on you."

Xylene, "and it all started with you not having the best of days."

Hope, "you bumped your head when you woke up, then lost your pants in front of a bunch of cheerleaders who laughed at you."

Gwen, "then after you went to clean some pizza off of your shirt, the Forever Knights managed to knock you out."

Hope, "we tracked them down. They're using a machine to try and remove the Omnitrix while they make you live what you'd consider your: perfect day."

Ben, "so that explains why I saw so many familiar things today. But wait, how are you guys here?"

Gwen, "me and Hope used a spell that allowed all of us to enter your mind, so we can try and wake you up before Enoch and the knights can remove the watch."

Ben, "so how do we stop them?"

Max, "we're not sure yet, but we'll think of something."

The RV grew quiet for a moment…. Until they began to hear the loud blaring of a horn!

Ben, "what the heck was that!?"

Xylene, "trouble!"

Suddenly, a vehicle rammed right into the Rustbucket, knocking it on its side.

Everyone was knocked down from the crash!

Ben, "ugh…."

Max, "is everyone okay?"

Ben, "shaken up, but otherwise okay."

Ben quickly helped Hope to her feet as Xylene helped Gwen up.

The five of them climbed their way out of the RustBucket.

Several jeeps had surrounded the area!

Out of the Jeep emerged Lt. Steel, who pulled out a CB radio.

He called into his radio, "secure the area! Move, move!"

Ben looked at the others, who shrugged as Stone approached.

Ben, "Steel? What're you doing here? Last time we saw you was on that bridge fighting Kevin!"

Steel, "good to see you again, but this isn't a social visit! Vilgax is coming!"

Ben, "Vilgax? But I chucked that guy into space!"

Steel, "we'll apparently, he's managed to get back to Earth. He must be after you, so we're here to help take him down!"

Ben groaned, "just great! Well, any idea when he'll show up?"

Steel, "any minute now!"

That's when they all heard a rather loud noise!

As they glanced overhead, they saw the Chimeran Hammer descending from the skies above.

Ben muttered, "no way…."

They then saw a figure jump out of the ship, racing down to the ground like a bullet from Hell!

The figure crashed into the ground in a huge cloud of dust!

When the dust cleared, it was revealed to be…. VILGAX!

Vilgax, "Ben Tennyson…. We meet again, for the last time!"

Ben quickly began dialing the watch and growled, "not today, Vilgax!"

Ben slammed down on the watch, and in a flash of green light, FourArms stood, cracking his knuckles.

He growled, "let's dance, Squidward!"

With a roar, FourArms charged at Vilgax, who charged at him. The two began trading blows, their fists hitting one another over and over again, the ground around them shaking from it!

Gwen and the others tried to run forward, but Steel and his men suddenly trained their guns on them!

Gwen asked, shocked, "what's going on?"

Steel, "stand down, ya filthy Limaxes!"

Hope, "Limaxes?"

Max, "aliens we went up against earlier this summer."

Xylene, "these men must be more obstacles to distract Ben! And we can't even get to him!"

FourArms, "give it up, calamari-face! You know I'm just gonna kick your butt again!"

Vilgax, "not this time, Tennyson! I'm going to kill you and your pathetic little family!"

Vilgax punched FourArms in the face, knocking him back a few feet and making him spit out a small glob of blood.

Four Arms growled before dashing towards Vilgax faster than he could react, and punched him clear into the air!

Fourarms, "no…. You won't!"

Four Arms jumped high into the air and slammed down on Vilgax, launching the tyrant into the ground and leaving a crater in the process!

FourArms lands and stalks towards Vilgax.

But Vilgax suddenly pulled out a Null Void projector!

"What the-", FourArms exclaimed, doing a double-take, "where the heck did you get one of those?!"

Vilgax simply yelled, "It doesn't matter! Now to send you to the Null Void!"

Vilgax activated the projector, opening a portal that began to suck both him and FourArms into it!

The Tetramand grunted as hard as he could while he clung tightly to the ground, trying to avoid getting sucked into the portal.

He saw Vilgax clawing his way towards him, and got an idea!

He growled, "say hi to Phil and Kevin for me!"

He then let go of the ground so he could land a kick to Vilgax's face! This sent the tyrant flying into the portal as FourArms grabbed the ground and felt the portal close up behind him!

FourArms got back to his feet.

Vilgax was nowhere in sight!

FourArms, "oh yeah! Who's the man! That was so…. Easy…. Too easy…."

Once again, FourArms felt something was wrong.

Steel approached and said, "good work Ben. Now we just have one last thing to take care of."

FourArms asked cautiously, "and what's that?"

Steel points to Gwen, Max, Xylene and Hope and says, "them! They aren't your family! They're Limaxes, sent here to trick you!"

FourArms looked confused as Steel handed him the Null Void projector.

Steel, "use it on them. Then we can help you find the real Gwen, Max, Hope and Xylene!"

Gwen yelled, "Ben! Don't do it!"

FourArms was about to point the projector at them, when something sparked to mind.

He turned to Steel and asked, "how did you know their names were Xylene and Hope? You've never met them."

Steel then grew a worried look.

Steel, "I, uh…. Was informed by my resources."

FourArms, "what resources?"

Gwen, "this is all fake, remember!"

Steel, "stay out of this, alien scum!"

Gwen didn't listen and yelled, "why didn't Vilgax try to take the watch before sending you to the Null Void! How was it super easy to beat him? And when did Steel EVER know any of our identities?!"

FourArms saw that Gwen was right and glared at Steel before activating the Null Void projector and pushed the SACT troopers into it before stalking towards Steel, growling, "who the Hell are you? Really?"

That's right when FourArms turned back into Ben.

Steel's expression turned to a smug smile.

Steel, "so you figured it out, eh? It would appear you aren't nearly as stupid as I was led to believe."

Steel suddenly began to morph and change, transforming into the one who was truly behind all of this!

Enoch!

Ben backed up to the others as Enoch's mask seemed to grin in this dreamscape!

Ben, "Enoch!"

"Correct", smirked the Forever Knight, "and though this world was meant to be your dream come true, we'll personally turn it into your worst nightmare."

Enoch snapped his fingers, and suddenly, the world around them began to warp and change!

And it was changed into Ben's worst nightmare, as he said, "oh no…. SCHOOOOOOL!"

Enoch began chuckling as several forever knights began to exit out of the rooms and lockers that surrounded Ben and the others.

Gwen rolled her eyes, "of course school would be YOUR worst nightmare."

Ben, "all I need to do is wake up, right? So, hit me."

Gwen quickly stomps on Ben's foot.

Ben held his foot, but saw that nothing had happened!

Ben, "well, that puts a damper on things."

Hope, "how do we get outta this?"

Max, "we gotta wake Ben up as soon as we can. If Enoch removes the Omnitrix, we'll all be stuck in this dreamland."

Xylene, "and then we'll really be sunk. Now where would the exit be?"

That's when they all heard some tumbling coming towards them.

They all turned to see a figure at the end of the hallway!

It was Kevin, in his human form!

Ben muttered, "oh great. Gwen's boyfriend."

Gwen glared at Ben as Kevin transformed into his more monstrous form, but with a full set of Ripjaws teeth!

Gwen, "that is one tough hall monitor."

Ben looks at the Omnitrix, "good thing I have my all-access pass right here!"

Kevin stalks towards them, growling like a rabid animal.

Ben, "let's see how tough they are picking on HeatBlast."

Ben activates the Omnitrix; but after he slams down and is engulfed in a green light, he's revealed to have transformed into GreyMatter.

Gwen, "ugh, even in your dreams, you are such a dweeb."

GreyMatter hissed, "don't! Just…. Don't! Not like I picked it! Nightmare, remember?"

Hope picked GreyMatter up as the group began to run as fast as they could through the halls, with Kevin in pursuit!

They managed to give him the slip by hiding in the library, with GreyMatter grumbling, "I freaking hate school…."

That's when they heard Kevin slamming against the door!

Hope, "we gotta find a way outta here!"

GreyMatter pointed at a computer and yelled, "there's a test on that computer! That should lead to a way out!"

The others ran to the computer as Hope set Ben down by the mouse and keyboard. Meanwhile, Kevin kept trying to burst through the doors!

His roaring grew angrier and more furious with every passing second.

Gwen, "hurry up, brainiac!"

GreyMatter did the best he could, answering each question with 'C.'

Gwen asked, "you picked C for every answer?"

GrayMatter, "it got me through 3rd grade. And I can't exactly think every answer out right now."

Hope, "I sometimes forget I'm dating the dullest knife in the drawer…."

GreyMatter just rolled his eyes as a wall behind the computer opened.

GreyMatter, "it worked, didn't it? Now let's GO!"

The group ran as fast as they could through the passageway, but as they entered a locker room, they were greeted by a rather frightening sight!

Standing in the locker room were Cash and J.T., but they looked like demonic versions of themselves! Sloping brows, massive teeth sticking out from their lower jaws, monstrous bodies, massive fingers tipped with sharp claws…. That sort of thing.

GreyMatter, "of course it had to be these clowns!"

The two troll-like bullies dashed towards the group faster than they could react!

They end up grabbing Max and Xylene!

The kids all yell, "GRANDPA/MAX! GRANDMA/XYLENE!"

Gwen and Hope let loose several blasts of magic that manage to free Max and Xylene, and knock Cash and J.T. through a nearby window!

Hope, "that was close."

Xylene, "thank you, kids. Now we just need to find a way out of here."

GreyMatter thought for a second and said, "I deduce that the exit from this dreamscape is located in my gym locker."

Max, "then we'd best get a move on."

GreyMatter nodded before the watch flashed red and turned him back into Ben.

Ben begins leading the group to where his locker was located.

When they finally saw the locker, the group thought they were home free!

So Ben raced over to open the locker, naturally.

But as he opened the locker, Enoch burst out of it, yelling, "guess who!"

Ben screamed in fright as he backed up to the others.

Enoch exited the locker, and several lockers opened up! Kevin, SixSix, Cash, J.T. and Vulkanus all file out!

Enoch growled, "you aren't going anywhere! I will have that watch of yours! And with it, the Forever Knights will finally have the power they need to rule every human and alien on this planet! And maybe one day; the entire universe!"

Kevin, Vulkanus, Cash, J.T., and SixSix grab Gwen, Xylene, Max, Hope and Ben!

Ben, "if you really think that's gonna happen, then YOU'RE the one who's gotta be dreaming!"

That's when Ben suddenly realized something! This entire place. Everything that was happening. It was all in his head. His dream. So…. He had all the control!

Ben snapped his head back and headhunter SixSix, making him let go before Ben suddenly transformed in a flash of blue light!

He had transformed into: Ultra-Ben!

"That's right, creeps: it's ULTRA-BEN on the scene", Ben declared, before he turned to the others, "and also, you guys have superpowers too."

In an instant, he gestured, and the others were engulfed in bright blue flashes of light.

All four of them were in super hero outfits like Ben's.

Max was in an outfit identical to Ben's.

Gwen was in her lucky girl outfit.

Hope was in a dark purple jacket, large brimmed fedora and sunglasses.

Xylene was in a dark blue outfit and cape!

They all broke out of their captor's grasp and pushed them all away!

Max, "alright! Ultra-Grandpa!"

Hope engulfed her hands in sparking pink magic and said, "don't let the CharmCaster get ya!"

Gwen, "Lucky Girl is on the scene!"

Xylene, "I…. Don't have a one-liner…."

Enoch screamed in rage, looked at the villains around him and yelled, "don't just stand there! Get them!"

With shouting, the two groups charged at each other.

Ben took on Enoch as Gwen and Hope took on Cash and J.T., and Max and Xylene took on Kevin, SixSix and Vulkanus.

Max quickly punched SixSix's jetpack, making it overload and flying him right through the ceiling!

Gwen and Hope both made J.T. and Cash charge at them, but the two demonic trolls crashed into each other and knocked themselves out cold! The girls gave each other's high fives as Xylene grabbed Vulkanus using her telekinesis and threw them through a nearby window!

Kevin roared into the air and ran at the four heroes while Ben was in a fist fight against Enoch!

Ben kept ducking and diving as Enoch tried to hit him, while Xylene, Gwen and Hope were using their telekinesis/magic to apprehend Kevin!

Kevin was wrapped up in pink tendrils of magic before Max ran at him and punched him clean through the wall!

And the wall after that!

And the wall after that!

And so on and so forth!

That only left one opponent.

Enoch!

Ben managed to use his super strength to grab Enoch and lift him into the air!

Ben said, "you better get ready for a trip, Enoch!"

Ben flew through the roof with Enoch in tow!

Enoch shouted as he was flown into space, "NO!"

Ben began spinning Enoch around in circles before throwing Enoch into the sun!

As soon as Enoch hit, everything was engulfed in a bright light!

….

Ben and Enoch simultaneously wake up from the dream machine!

Forever Knights surround them both! Ben quickly dials the watch and slams down, transforming into XLR8!

He quickly sprung into action!

XLR8, "looks like your dream just became a nightmare!"

XLR8 zipped about, capturing each of the Forever Knights.

XLR8 ran right at Enoch and punched him into the machine, and quickly hooked him back in!

But suddenly, the machine malfunctions and XLR8 reverts back into Ben as Enoch unhooks himself and quickly punches Ben!

Ben exclaimed, "no-"

Enoch knocked him out cold.

Soon, Ben was back in the Dream Machine, while the Forever Knights had removed the Omnitrix and placed it on Enoch's wrist.

"YES", he exclaimed, full of wicked glee, "it's finally MINE!"

His words echoed around him, going, "mine! Mine! Mine!"

….

But in reality, XLR8 stood with Hope, Gwen, Max and Xylene as they watched Enoch as he was hooked up to the dream machine. Enoch's weak mind was trapped within a dream.

XLR8, "well, I guess, in a way, Enoch got what he wanted…."

Hope, "I suggest we leave him for his buddies to find him…."

The others nodded before they left Enoch to his dreams….

….

Afterwards, we see someone approaching Enoch, attempting to retrieve him.

The figure is dressed in a red robotic ninja garb, swords on their back and red hair poking out of the top of their helmet.

That's when we hear someone growl, "stop."

The figure turns, revealing that the one wearing the robotic suit was Rojo! It looks like she once again had a cybernetic suit to defend herself and wreak havoc.

Rojo asked, "you sure?"

Another forever knight steps forward. The one who had paid her bail, named Driscoll.

He said, "leave Enoch to his fate. He has failed the Forever Knights too many times. Our little…. Team, will finish off the Tennyson's…. Once and for all…."

….

Sai-fayer: thanks. But um, Verdona isn't gonna stay on Earth to train Gwen. She's not going to destroy Gwen's human body. I hate the Bwen ship most of the time. Guest: Shellhead won't appear. Terrapin number 1. Neither will Snakepit. If Sandbox does appear, he'll look like a large sand creature. I'm not so sure about Ken's roster. The plan was to include GreyMatter, Ditto, Goop, Big Chill and Buzzshock. But I'm not so sure about the other additions.

Driscoll. He doesn't get the suit until a little later.

Dr. Viktor. He wears the cloak of the werewolf and bandages of the mummy, and provides Driscoll with what he needs.

Rojo. She would be the Forever Ninja due to the knights giving her the tech she needs.

Hex. Obviously he switches places with Hope, due to her being a good guy.

Kevin. He gets free from the Null Void, and Ben finally manages to get him to switch sides.

Phil Billings. He holds a grudge against Max for leaving him in the Null Void.

Doctor Animo. He will have a dragon-like suit.

Clancy. Animo will be the reason for him becoming a bug man.

Zombozo. Hex brings him back as an actual zombie.

Kane North. He wants revenge; and wears a darker Kangaroo Commando outfit.

Once the poll regarding the Ben 10 and Teen Titans harem story is done, expect a redo of a previous poll for a Scooby Doo poll….
