42. Chapter 42

Ben 10: Alien Rebirth

Chapter 42: Ben 4 Good Buddy!

We see the Rust Bucket driving along an old, deserted road.

Max, "it's nice being off the highway. Don'cha just love the open road?"

He tried to tune the radio, but all he got was static.

Gwen, "not when you can't get a radio signal."

Xylene, "that's strange. Wonder why there's no connection."

Ben, "probably because we're in the middle of nowhere."

Mx, "well then, how about a sing-along? ~We'll be…. Comin' round the mountain when we come…. We'll be drivin' the Rustbucket when we come….!~"

Gwen's face turned to one of pure dismay.

Hope said as she poked her head out of the restroom, "how about a flush-along? The toilet's not budging!"

Xylene took the wheel as Max said, "let me take a look."

Hope, "by all means."

Max went into the bathroom as Hope stood by Ben and Gwen. Gwen was wearing her glasses today.

Gwen, "wonder why it won't flush?"

Max, "it's an old RV. It might have some issues from time to time."

Max fiddles with the toilet for a minute before it finally flushes.

Max, "luckily, I've got normal plumbing knowledge too."

That's when the group began to hear some faint rumbling.

Hope, "you don't suppose that doing that just now might've done something to the pipes, do you?"

Max, "I don't think so…."

Coming up behind them were a monster truck, a Dodge Charger, and a tow truck.

An amplified voice said, "this is a barrier. Move that piece of junk so we can get what we came for!"

Max, "piece of junk?"

The Dodge Charger rams into the back of the RustBucket, nearly making it fly off the road!

Ben, "forget coming ROUND the mountain, we're coming DOWN it!"

The Dodge hit the RV again, sending it flying towards some railing! Xylene desperately steers it as best she can as Ben starts dialing the watch.

Ben, "it's time for some real acceleration!"

He activates the Omnitrix and tries to turn into XLR8 but turns into RipJaws instead!

RipJaws, "AW MAN!"

Gwen, "and not a drop of water for miles."

The three vehicles race after the RV!

The RustBucket rams one, but the other two come up from behind and the rammed one gets back on the road.

RipJaws, "maybe I don't need to be fast to wreck their cars! Grandma, get us close!"

Xylene nodded and said, "on it", as she sped up, while the vehicles were approaching their target: a shiny new RV!

RipJaws climbed to the top of the RustBucket and jumped on top of the monster truck!

RipJaws, "you think this truck is a monster? Wait'll you get a load of me!"

RipJaws sinks his namesake into the roof of the monster truck. The monster truck began driving wildly, trying to throw RipJaws off of the roof!

The driver remarked, "looks like I got a bogey on me!"

He drove over a bump that managed to fling RipJaws back onto the RustBucket's roof.

Gwen opens the RV's window and casts a spell.

Gwen, "Thanatis Icatis Exodus!"

The spell resulted in a massive whirlwind that knocked all three of the cars right off the road!

One of the drivers, Turbine, growled, "my engine's all blown!"

Another named Road Rage said, "we can still get that RV for ya."

But Baron Highway, the leader, had turned his sights towards the Rustbucket.

He replied, "I'm thinkin' about gettin' me a DIFFERENT set of wheels…."

The RustBucket soon drives next to the other RV as RipJaws is starting to groan. He needed water!

He wheezed, feeling crispier by the second, "...dryin' up here…. Gotta find a lake…. Or maybe a pool!"

Both RV's stop at a roadside area, and RipJaws heard some water in the other RV. He quickly went to a window in the back and snuck in.

Max, "where's Ben?"

Gwen, "... nearby."

The group, with Xylene, now wearing her ID mask, went to the other RV.

Standing outside was a brown-haired, mustached man in a blue shirt.

He exclaimed, "there's a monster in my hot tub!"

The group followed him into the RV.

It's a very luxurious one.

They see Ben sitting in a hot tub, soaking wet.

Gwen, "well, it's not a monster, I'll say THAT much."

Ben, "hey, you try finding water in the desert! I almost had to eat a cactus!"

Hope, "I'm glad you didn't. I've heard cactus juice makes you loopy."

Max then addresses the RV owner and says, "Max Tennyson. This is my wife Xylene. You've met my grandson Ben. And this is my granddaughter Gwen and her friend Hope."

Ben said as he climbed out of the tub, "nice to meet you. This is one sweet ride, I'll say THAT much!"

The driver handed Ben a towel and said, "Laurence Wainwright. Thanks for the help with the Road Crew."

Gwen, "no problem."

Wainwright, "your RV looks like it needs some repairs."

Max, "what, the Rustbucket? I mean, sure, she's a little rough around the edges, but she's got character!"

One of the tires blew out, as if on cue.

Xylene, "we appreciate the help."

Laurence, "this rest stop has an all you can eat buffet. What say I treat you lot to a meal for the help you gave me back there?"

Ben's eyes widened with a smile, "that sounds awesome!"

The group got out of the RV and made their way over to the rest stop.

Once they were there, Ben didn't hesitate to pile on as much food as he could fit onto his tray.

Hope rolled her eyes at her boyfriend's appetite.

As Ben sat down with his bounty, a waitress came by and put down a couple of extra plates.

She commented, "word around these parts is you took down the Road Crew."

Ben raised an eyebrow, "the 'Road Crew'?"

The waitress, Shelby, named the 3 members, "Baron Highway, Turbine and Road Rage. They been terrorizin' good folks on these back roads since I had a full set of teeth."

Ben, Gwen, and Hope all collectively winced.

Shelby, "took MY ride years ago, and I've been stuck here ever since."

Max, "well, just doing our job."

Shelby pointed out towards the street, "and they'll be OUT of a job once the new highway opens. No more sittin' ducks on the road for them to pluck off."

Gwen, "these Road Crew guys sound like rejects from a Mad Max film."

Xylene, "let's just hope they don't pop up again before we get out of here."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

….

Later….

Max is currently working on repairing the RustBucket.

Ben, Gwen and Hope were standing nearby, as Ben polished off another cup of water.

Ben, "... I need more ice water, I don't feel so hot."

Gwen, "gee. Think it might've been the 4th or 5th trip to the sundae bar?"

Ben rolled his eyes as he went in and opened the freezer door, "yeah, yeah."

Xylene and Max, "don't use the ice maker!"

As Ben opened the freezer, he was knocked backwards by a sudden barrage of ice cubes. This, in turn, caused the windshield wipers to start waving erratically, and for Gwen to get sprayed with wiper fluid.

Hope quickly used magic to form a shield from the wiper fluid as Xylene made a pink construct to do the same for her and Max.

Ben groaned from the ground, "this RV seriously needs a tune up…."

As he groaned, a rusted old tow truck pulled up on the right side of the Rustbucket. Baron Highway climbed out, and Road Rage put it in reverse as a red 1969 Dodge Charger pulled up to the left side.

Gwen and Hope quickly helped Ben to his feet as Baron Highway yelled, "y'all messed with the wrong gang!"

Ben and the girls quickly ducked behind some oil drums as Max and Xylene jumped out of the way of the Dodge Charger.

Ben quickly starts dialing up the watch, muttering, "I'm gonna need some firepower to burn their rubber!"

Gwen groaned at the pun as Ben slammed down, intending to turn into HeatBlast…. But turned into Upchuck instead.

Upchuck, "fan-tastic. Guess I'm eating to beat 'em…."

Upchuck quickly grabs a handful of oil cans and swallows them like candy. He then jumped atop an oil barrel and started firing blasts of energy at Turbine's car!

Turbine asked as she swerved around the energy loogies, "what th' Hell IS that thing?"

Road Rage laughed, "whatEVER it is, it's about to be roadkill!"

Road Rage swung his hook chain and wrapped it around Upchuck, before it snagged and dragged him away as he was pulled along by the tow truck. The tow truck quickly made a sharp turn that threw Upchuck into the buffet area. He groaned as he sat up. He then saw a nearby slice of pizza and popped it into his mouth…. Before gagging and spitting it out!

He groaned, "ugh…. Upchuck can't eat anything normal, can he?"

Baron Highway runs into the Rustbucket while Max and Xylene are avoiding getting hit by the maniacal Road Crew members.

Just as Upchuck runs outside, Turbine's car slams into him, sending him flying right through the wall of the nearby car wash…. And then, the Omnitrix starts beeping in that familiar manner.

In seconds, Ben is back to normal; and his foot is stuck in the conveyor belt!

Ben, "oh crap baskets!"

The car wash has just turned on as Ben slowly starts moving towards the hot wax!

Ben, "grandpa! Grandma! Help!"

Max and Xylene see Ben in the car wash!

Max, "Ben! Hold on!"

He and Xylene run to the controls of the car wash and quickly shut off the hot wax.

Ben sighed in relief…. Right before he was splashed by soap and water.

And after that, he was spun right through the brushes, and shot through the blow-dryer. As Gwen, Xylene, Hope and Max got to the end of the car wash, Ben emerged, with his hair all messed-up.

Ben, "... do I look okay?"

Gwen started laughing her ass off as Hope was desperately trying not to.

Xylene, "oh, you poor thing."

Gwen wheezed out amidst her laughter, "it's…. An improvement."

Xylene hugged Ben as Max turned to see the Road Crew cars racing away with his RV.

Max groaned, "just great…."

….

Meanwhile, with the RustBucket….

Turbine took a peek under the hood and smirked, "Hoo-doogie! Th' catfish are bitin' tonight! Nitro-methane supercharged engine AND turbo boosted! Probably tops out at 300 miles an hour!"

Baron Highway, "crank 'er up a bit more, will ya, darlin'? want it ready for the highway grand openin'."

Turbine laughed, "will I?"

She got to work making all sorts of modifications, souping up the Rustbucket to be ten times as fearsome on the road than it was before.

Road Rage said, "why don't we see what the old coot had on the inside of this thing?"

Turbine said as she cracked her knuckles, "feel free to head on in. I'm all good out here~!"

Road Rage laughed as he kicked the door in and walked in with Baron Highway.

Both of the no-good jerks were checking out their ill-gotten gains, and were taking in the new surroundings.

Baron Highway smirked and said, "this purty lil' number is gonna work out jus' fine…."

Baron Highway and Road Rage start laughing like hicks.

Neither noticed Chester hiding on top of the fridge.

….

Meanwhile, back at the gas station….

Grandpa Max hung up the landline, a solemn look on his face.

Max, "the police haven't seen it anywhere. We'll need to search high and low."

Hope, "but how? I mean, we can't really search for the RustBucket without a vehicle."

Max, "that ain't gonna stop me. I'll search every inch of the Southwest to find the old girl."

That's right when Wainwright's RV drives up to the group. The front window rolled down, and Shelby was sitting in the front seat.

Shelby, "somebody call a taxi cab?"

….

Later….

Max, "thanks again, Shelby. We really appreciate this."

Shelby, "it's no trouble. I lost my ride to those lowlifes. I figured I might as well help you get yours back before it's too late. Wainwright offered his own RV to be OF service."

Hope, "nice guy."

Xylene, "now we just have to find where the Road Crew is."

Shelby, "I think I know where…."

….

Meanwhile….

The Road Crew were taking their new wheels for a test drive in a nearby town.

Baron Highway, "now to take this baby for a li'l test drive to see what she can do!"

Baron Highway laughed as he spotted an armored car parked outside of a bank.

Turbine laughed, "payday, baby! Payday! Haha!"

….

In Wainwright's RV, Max fiddled with the radio until they heard some police chatter.

"There appears to be a robbery going on between an armored car and a…. An RV? Yeah, a modified RV."

The Tennyson's all said, "the RustBucket!"

Max, "step on it Shelby!"

Shelby nodded and put the pedal to the metal.

But by the time they arrived, the armored car had been ransacked and the RustBucket had taken off!

Hope, "check the radio. Maybe we can find their next target!"

Gwen nodded and proceeded to return to checking the police reports for further information

"Calling all officers in the vicinity. The Road Crew seems to be closing in on the site of the new highway! They-oh God! They've got a missile!"

Everyone's eyes widened at that bit of news. How exactly these guys got a missile wasn't important. What WAS was the fact that they undoubtedly planned to use it on the new highway.

Shelby, "and once it's gone, there'll be plenty of traffic to deal with. Lucky for y'all, I know a shortcut."

Shelby quickly kicked the RV into high gear and drove off as fast as possible….

….

We see the RustBucket speeding past a moving train!

The grabber claw reached out and picked up one of its new missiles before loading it into a holster.

Baron Highway, "the new Highway Grand Opening Ceremony is about to end with a bang!"

But as they kept grabbing as many missiles as they could, they heard the sound of a revving engine and burning rubber!

As the other RV pulled up next to them, Max looked mortified at the modifications.

Max, "what'd they DO to her?"

Ben, "I dunno, but they're gonna pay!"

Ben quickly dials up Upgrade on the watch and slams down.

But as the green light faded, Ben was revealed to have turned into…. A Lenopan?

He looked like a man made of mud, with the same head shape, eyes and whiskers as Camille.

He groaned, "Mudball? Ugh! I needed tech, not mud! How many times am I gonna get the alien wrong today?!"

Hope, "I thought you named that form Sludgopan?"

Mudball, "I changed the name. Let's see if I can make this work…."

Mudball stretched out of the TV and climbed onto the train.

Shelby, "that's quite the grandson you've got there."

Mudball jumps over to the RustBucket's crane and grabs the controls.

Road Rage yelled as he saw this happening, "what in the-!"

Mudball snarled, "you ain't gonna get away with this!"

Baron Highway, "that's what you think!"

Baron Highway hits a button that sends the crane flying! Mudball quickly jumps off it and lands on the train, right in front of Road Rage and Turbine.

Mudball, "sorry, this exit is closed!"

Road Rage and Turbine turned and made a break for the other end of the train.

Mudball started chasing after the pair!

Turbine remarked as she and Road Rage climbed through the doorway, "y'might be over there, but'cha can't get us over here!"

They jumped into their cars as they and the RustBucket drove alongside the train as they all went through a tunnel!

The back tailpipe started firing lasers at the RV, and Max managed to swerve out of the way.

Max said as he pressed a few buttons on the dashboard, "let's see if there's anything onboard to fight back with."

However, all that happened was that the seat became warm, and a cappuccino machine popped up.

Max, "... heated seats, and a cappuccino machine…."

Hope, "looks like the RustBucket wasn't so useless after all…."

Gwen then gets an idea when she sees the RustBucket's tires and quickly runs into the kitchen and finds some knives and scissors.

Gwen, "but maybe we can get some use out of THIS ride, too!"

Gwen smiled as she grabbed them from the drawers.

Hope caught onto the plan as she grabbed some knives as well. Hope quickly opened the window and threw the knives as hard as they could!

Several managed to hit the tires of Road Rage's vehicle!

Road Rage yells as his car spins out of control! He quickly disembarks and jumps into the RustBucket.

Mudball quickly slithered their way along the train to keep up with the RustBucket.

Xylene and Gwen then grab a bunch of fruit from Wainwright's kitchen and throw them all into Turbine's windshield.

Turbine screams as she quickly jumps ship into the RustBucket as her car crashes!

MudBall launches himself on top of the RV!

MudBall, "okay, easy does it. Now I just gotta-"

But the watch starts blinking red, turning the Lenopan back into Ben!

Ben, "DAMN IT!"

Ben hangs off the top of the RustBucket for dear life.

Ben groaned as he clung tightly, "of all the times for the watch to power down…!"

Ben climbed his way along the roof of the RustBucket.

Ben, "gotta…. Disarm…. The missiles!"

Fighting against the wind rushing around him, Ben continued his fierce climb across the rooftop.

He made it over to the missiles.

Ben, "let's see if this bucket of bolts' malfunctions can fix this mess!"

….

Meanwhile, Baron Highway punched in a few more commands on the keypad.

Baron Highway, "let them fireworks begin."

Suddenly, he overheard a thump and saw Ben getting to his feet inside the RV!

Baron Highway, "how'd YOU get in?"

Ben, "forget about ME getting in. It's YOU who's getting out!"

Road Rage and Turbine ran at Ben, who quickly ducked under their legs and ran to the dashboard! He messes with the dashboard controls for a minute, disarming the missles!

Meanwhile, Wainwright's RV began to drive alongside the RustBucket.

Baron Highway yelled, "you little shit! You're gonna pay for this!"

Baron Highway, Tubine and Road Rage started chasing Ben through the RV as Ben quickly grabbed the ice machine.

The RustBucket started to slow down with no-one at the wheel, and Ben started shooting a bunch of ice cubes at the trio. They hit them over and over again as they flop to the floor with a yell.

Chester quickly flies down and starts pecking at Road Rage, making him scream!

The RustBucket finally stops as Max runs to it and throws the door wide open!

Max grabs the RV thieves by the collars and pulls them up so they can see his angry face.

Max, "get outta my RV!"

Max throws all three out of the RV. Baron Highway gets knocked out, but Turbine and Road Rage are still kicking.

They go in for the attack!

Hope, "Tara Tremmo Eradico."

Turbine is pinned down with the spell as Shelby jumps on Road Rage and starts punching him over and over again!

Ben laughed and clapped at this.

Shelby, "this is for what you've done to everyone else on these roads!"

…..

Soon afterwards, the RustBucket had been recovered and brought back to the station

Max and Xylene were overjoyed to have the RV back.

Wainwright marched over to Shelby and asked, "how'd the ol' girl do against those bandits?"

Shelby responded as she dusted her hands off, "handled pretty darn well."

Wainwright said as he saw the Road Crew being escorted into police cars, "good. Glad she was able to help make this area a better place…."

Meanwhile, Max is looking at the RustBucket, which is in pretty bad shape.

Max laments over the repairs.

Xylene, "it'll take some time to fix her up…."

Ben dialed up the Omnitrix and said, "maybe not…."

Ben presses down, turning into XLR8. The speedy alien quickly runs to the RV, repairing the RustBucket in less than a minute!

The group is amazed to see the old RV looking better than ever as XLR8 speeds in front of them and says, "how's that for a pitstop?"

The group chuckled as Shelby and Wainwright approached.

Wainwright, "thanks to you folks, people will be able to drive through here in peace again."

XLR8, "all in a day's work…."

….

Later, Max, Xylene, Hope, Ben and Gwen finally leave in the newly repaired RustBucket, waving goodbye to Shelby and Wainwright….

….

We once again see a familiar face of a foe who faced Ben in the past.

Dr. Viktor!

He continued to wear the cloak of the werewolf and the bandages of the mummy.

He appears to be working on some sort of device. A large portal of some kind.

He heard the door open, and turned to see Driscoll and Rojo approaching.

Driscoll, "is it almost ready?"

Dr. Viktor, "almost. I still need to fine tune everything if we are to extract this, 'Kevin Levin', from this strange prison."

"It's called the Null Void."

They all turned to see Phil coming out of the shadows! He was now clean shaven and wearing a suit of armor colored like that of the Forever Knights.

Phil, "and you better finish this damned thing up soon. I wanna make Max and his family pay for leaving me in that God forsaken Hell hole!"

Driscoll, "calm down, my friend. You will have your revenge. As will the rest of our team…."

I plan for more aliens to appear in Alien Swarm, as well as having Humungousaur talk in it. And I plan to basically undo most of the retcons made in Revenge of the Swarm. Elena would still get Nanite powers, but she wouldn't be evil, she wouldn't be the real queen, and her dad wouldn't be dead.

Guest101: 1. I plan on not using Fasttrack, Mole-Stache and Walkatrout. 2. Sublimo, the characters from Simple, and most one off villains from Omniverse. Attea is still gonna be in the story, but she won't be a villain. 3. Yes, Ben will eventually crossover with Generator Rex and the Secret Saturdays.

RisingPluto66 BKA: if you're referring to Hope, her appearance is gonna be a mix of her original and Omniverse appearance. None of the reboot.

Guest: Ben will NOT scan the aliens that poop gold. I plan on skipping that episode.

Also, I'm pretty sure guests can't write stories. And that word…. The N word…. I fucking despise that word. And this story isn't supposed to be sexy! The main characters are mostly CHILDREN!

Sorry this chapter took so long to get out. Me and my co-writer, Sonic Thunder Saiyan Turtle, have been working hard on several stories together. So this story might take awhile to finish.

I thought it'd be neat to keep this episode in, since it gave me a chance to use more of Ben's aliens, including Mudball, (previously named Sludgeopan.)
