Chapter 19: Whispers Before the Blood Moon
June 15, 2020.
Hogwarts Castle. Midnight
The castle clock struck twelve. The moon, half-veiled in mist, cast a cold glow through the ancient windows of Hogwarts.
In the Gryffindor dormitory, Harry shot up in bed, panting. His scar didn't burn, but his chest felt tight.
"It was him again... The Stranger," he whispered. Ron stirred in the next bed, half-asleep.
"Another nightmare, mate?" Ron asked groggily, rubbing his eyes.
"Not just a nightmare. A warning. Something's coming. Something worse than Voldemort."
Ron blinked. "You always say that. But you've got that look again. Like it's real this time."
Harry nodded gravely. "It is. And I think it's tied to Halloween. The Stranger called it Veilfall."
Far across the castle, Ace awoke in a sweat, gripping the sheets. He stood and looked out the window, where the moon glowed a faint crimson.
"That voice... It was warning us," he muttered, his fists clenched. "Something worse than Marineford. Worse than anything we've fought. And I saw fire... oceans of fire."
In the Ravenclaw guest quarters, Law sat upright, eyes sharp. He scribbled notes on a piece of parchment.
"Blood... Veil... Halloween," he muttered. "This was no dream. It was a message. A summons. I saw a scythe. A figure in shadows. It's called the night The Crimson Echo."
Luffy, alone in a chamber near the Room of Requirement, stared at the ceiling. He had felt it too. But he wasn't afraid. Not yet.
"If someone's coming to hurt my friends," Luffy said softly, fists clenched at his side, "they better be ready to fight."
Zoro wandered the torch-lit corridors, frustrated.
"Why does this castle have more turns than a sea maze? Damn it, stairs just moved again."
He took the wrong staircase and pushed open a door marked with a fading rune. Inside, the room glowed with magical projections. A round table was surrounded by tense faces—Joseph Alphonz, McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick, Madam Hooch, and Vegapunk.
Even the portraits lining the chamber's walls stirred restlessly. One old wizard muttered, "The Hollow Eclipse stirs again..." before vanishing into another frame.
Snape's eyes narrowed. "You weren't supposed to be here."
"Oi, easy. I got lost. Again," Zoro said, holding up his hands.
McGonagall looked amused. "He may be unexpected, but I sense his presence is not without purpose."
Joseph Alphonz nodded. "Let him speak."
Zoro stepped forward. "You all look like you're planning something serious. Good. 'Cause I saw something, too."
"You had a vision?" McGonagall asked, now curious.
Zoro's gaze dropped. "Back in Wano, during the final battle… I was nearly done for. Someone pulled me back. Wore black, carried a scythe. Not a Shinigami, not a devil... Something older."
He paused, and the flames in the room dimmed for just a moment.
"He showed up again last night. Said the blood moon would come... and we'd lose people."
Flitwick exchanged a glance with Hooch. "Could it be another omen?"
"It aligns with the Stranger's pattern," Vegapunk added, flicking through holographic charts. "Residual dark energy, spectral echoes, time distortions—all converging on All Hallow's Eve. Veilfall."
"The veil is thinning," Madam Hooch said gravely. "I've seen brooms pulled off course with no wind. The air shifts."
Snape folded his arms. "And what did this reaper say to you?"
Zoro's face darkened. "He said... 'The dead will not rest while the unprepared dream.'"
Silence filled the room.
Joseph placed a hand on Zoro's shoulder. "Then you were meant to be here. You're a witness to something ancient."
Zoro frowned. "I'm just a swordsman. But if death is coming, I'll cut it down."

The Forbidden Forest. Midnight
Fog rolled across the Black Lake like fingers stretching from the Forbidden Forest.
"Hagrid, look!" Luna pointed at a glowing shape beyond the mist.
A majestic ship cut through the water, sails shimmering with silver glyphs that pulsed to the moonlight. Its bow bore runes not seen since the Time of Tempest.
"That's no ordinary vessel," Flitwick whispered.
"Friends of the Straw Hat," Jinbei said, bowing his head. "Warriors of heart."
The ship docked silently. As the magical gangway unfurled, Kin'emon, Toki, Hiyori, Rebecca, Violet, and others stepped onto solid ground.
"Looks like the legends followed us," George muttered.
Vivi leapt off the deck, running up the path.
"Nami!" she cried.
They embraced tightly. "We came as fast as we could," Vivi said. "The skies whispered danger. I had to come. We all did."
Rebecca held Luffy's hat close. "If there's going to be a battle, I won't sit behind walls again."
Boa Hancock swept off the deck like a queen descending a throne. "Where is Luffy-kun?"
"Inside," Robin said with a smile. "He'll be happy to see you."
Oden Toki placed a hand on Hiyori's shoulder. "This place breathes with time magic. Be ready, daughter. When the threads tighten, you must not break."
Fred whistled. "That's the fanciest ghost ship I've ever seen."
George grinned. "You say ghost, I say fireworks barge."

The Astronomy Tower. Midnight
Rouge stood alone on the Astronomy Tower. The stars shimmered strangely, as if rearranging into ancient runes.
The Stranger appeared without sound.
"He dreams of fire," Rouge whispered.
"And blood," the Stranger said. "But not his own."
"You said the veil is thinning."
"When it breaks, they will come—the ones who hunger for chaos. The Hollow Eclipse is more than a prophecy. It's a wound in time."
Rouge turned to him. "Can we stop it?"
"You can steady him. That may be enough. Or not. But he will need your voice."
"I died for him once. I will fight for him again."
The Stranger stepped closer. "And when the blood moon rises, your words may keep him from the brink. Or push him over."
Rouge nodded. "Then I will choose them carefully."

The Forbidden Forest. Midnight
"CAT VIPER! DOGSTORM!" Hagrid ran to the Minks like they were long-lost relatives.
"Hagrid! You big oaf!" Dogstorm laughed. "Still growing mushrooms in your beard?"
Cat Viper grinned. "You smell like a forest bear, old friend."
Dragon Momonosuke walked beside Oden, Carrot and Jinbei. "This place... hums with the past."
Carrot twitched her ears. "And the sweets! Hogwarts has better snacks than any kingdom."
Luna danced beside Carrot. "You must be part Moon Rabbit. Delightful. Do you taste sounds too?"
"Only if I eat chocolate first," Carrot grinned.
Fred nudged George. "Think we can market rabbit lightning?"
"Only if she signs a contract," George said. "Or gets a lifetime supply of carrot-flavoured fizzbombs."
"Sounds dangerous," Carrot laughed. "I like it."
"What a night," Fred said. "Time-travelling samurai, moon rabbits, haunted stairs... Next thing you know, the portraits will start giving life advice."
One portrait chimed in. "Only if you ask nicely, boy."
Deep in the Forbidden Forest, a cloaked figure lit a small fire. Shadows danced wildly, though the flames were steady.
"The pieces are on the board," he whispered. "Let the blood moon rise."
He traced a symbol into the dirt—a spiral eclipsed by jagged wings. The mark of Veilfall.
A raven circled above, then vanished into the mist. The wind howled. And somewhere beneath the earth, something stirred.
