Ben and Van 10! Chapter 17: Cutting Corners!, a ben 10 fanfic

Hey, guys. Welcome to the new chapter of Ben and Van 10. I hope that you guys like the chapter...anyway, I don't own anything except for my OCs, as the OC Rook Shadow belongs entirely to 9655. Also, I want to mention that Swampattack is RZGmon200's creation as he let me borrow his Ben 10 OC Fusion after asking for permission.

NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!

{Season 1, Episode 16: Cutting Corners!}

"Come on, guys, please?" Ben and Van pleaded in unison as it was a normal day for the Bio-Team, and we see the gang parking the Rustbucket in a park in a random city to have a picnic as we see a very annoyed Gwen and Rook Shadow walking out of the RV as the lovebirds followed after them.

"We said no, guys."

"We just need 40 bucks each!" Ben says desperately as Gwen rolls her eyes.

"Look, we would love to help you two get-What is it again?"

"The Sumo Slammer Ultimate Video Slam! Only the best video game of all time!" Van said with starry eyes as Ben nodded excitedly.

"Look, sorry, guys, but we can't give you the money as I'm saving up my money for a special someone," Shadow said while wearing his ID Mask as Gwen nodded.

"And I'm saving up for a new computer.

"Ah, I love a good picnic." A smiling Grandpa says while appearing on the scene as Katmeleon rode around on his shoulder and wore her ID Mask.

"You know, I think we found the perfect spot."

"Ah, me too, Grandpa, so, uh, can we maybe talk about an advance on our allowance?" Ben asked while clasping his hands together as Max rolled his eyes dryly.

"Oh, you mean for all the hard work you do cleaning your half of the Rustbucket? Yeah, I don't think so, Ben. Besides, I already gave Van an advance for her allowance."

"Ah, dang, that's right." A pouting Van says as Katmeleon leaped over to land on her head, and Grandpa Max walked off as Ben groaned.

"We're never gonna be able to afford those games."

"Hey. Are you two looking to make some pocket money?" A Random Man says while raking some leaves nearby as the surprised group turned to him.

Standing before them is a 5'7-feet-tall, 72-year-old Man with a pair of black eyes, a bald head, thick black eyebrows, a big bulbous nose with a bushy dark gray mustache underneath, a sharp chin with a big bushy dark gray beard, Caucasian Skin, a tall slim build, and his outfit consists of a long-sleeved high-collared green collared shirt, a dark brown belt with a golden belt buckle, long dark brown pants, and a pair of light brown shoes. His name is Geezer Bob, a Groundskeeper.

"Just so happens I could use a little help around the grounds today." Geezer Bob says as Ben and Van perked up as Shadow and Katmeleon shared a curious look.

{Intro}

A green glowing steel pod was flying across the Milky Way Galaxy as it reached Earth and crashed down as a huge green flash occurred. Once the flash dies down, we see the glowing symbols of the Biomnitrix as the camera zooms out, and we see Ben and Vanessa looking at their new devices in wonder as the kids then glance at each other before smirking as they activate their gauntlets and two cores popped out as Ben and Vanessa raised their hands in the sky dramatically before slamming them down on their individual Biomnitrix's.

The area around them turned green as Ben slowly morphed into Four Arms and pumped his fists into the air in victory while Vanessa transformed into Coldphase as she opened up her wings and flew in the air as she generated an ice mace in her hand, and white number 1 appeared beside them.

Ben then quick-changed into Heatblast as he manifested a fiery cyclone around him, but the transformed boy lost control of it as the tornado began to grow. Vanessa reacted quickly and transformed into Blitz as she ran around the fire tornado and snuffed out the infernal hurricane, but accidentally canceled out Heatblast's fire in the process as well. The magma-being gave his friend a deadpanned look as Vanessa gave him a sheepish grin and a white number 2 appeared beside them.

Huffing in annoyance, Heatblast glared at the Citrakayah until an idea popped into his head as Ben grinned mischievously. Quick-changing into XLR8, the Kineceleran puts on his visor as he begins running circles around Blitz. Vanessa yelped as the fast winds from XLR8 forced her to fall to the ground, and XLR8 stopped running as he laughed at her immaturely. Vanessa growls at him in anger as she quick-changed into Split and duplicates herself up to 30. XLR8 yelped in surprise as Split and her clones dogpiled on the surprised Kineceleran, and a white number of a 3 appeared beside them.

Split and her clones smirked at each other in victory until they felt something rumbling below them as a flash of green light appeared, and they were all thrown into the air by large crystal spikes. Diamondhead rose up from the ground as he raised his hands, and encased each clone in small crystal cages as they struggled to free themselves. Diamondhead crossed his arms smugly before blinking in shock as all the Splits merged with each other and transformed into Vortex. The cloud-like alien turned herself into the air as she easily escaped from Diamondhead's crystal trap, and a white number 4 appeared beside them.

Not giving up the fight just yet, Ben quick-changed into Cannonbolt as he curled up into a ball and rolled over to Vortex, who stood perfectly still as she transformed into Fairytail and used her magic to conjure a slide in front of Cannonbolt. Ben's eyes widened from inside his shell as he went up the slide, and flew in the air as he crashed against the green background, and groaned as a white number of a 5 appeared beside them.

Fairytail giggled amusedly under her breath as Cannonbolt glared at her in annoyance and transformed into Upgrade as he turned into a puddle and slithered his way toward an unsuspecting Fairytail. Without giving her time to react, the Galvanic Mechamorph used his elasticity to wrap around her body as Fairytail struggled to escape from his grasp. Vanessa grunted before quick-changing into Tricetaurus as she burst out of Upgrade's hold and roared as a white number of a 6 appeared beside them.

Upgrade rubbed his head with a moan as a large shadow fell on top of him and gulped as he saw Tricetaurus glaring down at him as she raised her foot to smash him and dropped it down. Luckily, Ben transformed into Grey Matter just in time as he dodged her and jumped up to her leg as he begins crawling all across her body. Tricetaurus tried to smack him, but Ben easily avoided her attacks as he crawled to the top of her head and Vanessa glared at him as she tried to hit him, but he managed to jump out of the way in time as Vanessa accidentally smacked herself on the face, and fell down. Grey Matter laughed at her as Vanessa blushed embarrassedly and glared at him as she transformed into Snatcher and morphed into a more buffed version of Grey Matter. Before Ben could react, Snatcher leaps toward him, and the shapeshifter tackles him to the floor, and a white number of 7 appears beside them.

Grey Matter struggled to escape from the chokehold that Snatcher was giving him as he thought quickly and swiftly transformed into Overflow as Snatcher lost her grip on him, and she fell down to the floor. Overflow smirked down at the terrified Snatcher as he raised his hand and washed her away with a burst of water as Snatcher's physical form dissolved into a puddle of goo. Snatcher glared at the smirking Cascan before transforming into White Fang as she hissed at him and jumped onto his head. Ben struggled to push her off as White Fang used her sharp claws to scratch him but couldn't slice through his hard exoskeleton as a white number of an 8 appeared beside them.

Overflow grunted before transforming into Wildvine as he used his large plant tendrils to grab Vanessa's slim waist, and he threw her off. White Fang landed in a low crouch as she growled at him and transformed into Kralastico as she extended her hands and fists blew up to ridiculous proportions. Wildvine and Kralastico glared daggers at each other as they took off into a sprint and raised their fists just as a white number of a 9 appeared above them.

Wildvine and Kralastico struggled to free themselves as they accidentally tied themselves up with their stretched-out limbs during the fight. Kralastico whimpers, and Wildvine stared at her worriedly before grinning as an idea popped into his head. Whispering his plan into Vanessa's ear, Kralastico nodded with a smile as Ben transformed into Stinkfly, and Vanessa morphed into Freakazette as they escaped from their bonds. Stinkfly flew happily in the air as Freakazette popped up behind him and pulled out a sign with a white number 10 from her hammerspace.

Happy to not be fighting anymore, Stinkfly and Freakazette smiled at each other warmly as the young cartoony devil-like alien reached out, and she literally flipped the scene around as we see Ben and Vanessa standing in a large white room while back in their human forms as Max, Gwen, Katmeleon, and Rook Shadow stood beside them.

Ben shared a low five with his grandfather and male best friend while Vanessa shared a hug with the red-head girl and mutant pet as Ben and Vanessa then stared at each other for a few seconds before blushing as they shyly held hands, and the others laughed at this amusedly before everyone goes serious as Ben, Van, and Rook Shadow smirked cockily while holding out their Biomnitrixes, Omnitrix, and Nemetrix as a determined Gwen transformed into her Titan Girl Form and flew up into the air as her fists lightning up with yellow godly electricity as a smirking Max Tennyson puts on his Plumbers Uniform and pulled out an alien blaster as Katmeleon laid on his shoulder and roared cutely as all of the Alien Shapeshifter's Fusion Aliens appeared beside them.

{Intro Over}

"People really call you Geezer Bob?" Rook Shadow asked with a surprised tone as we see him and the others walk over to a shack that had a big golden sign that reads, 'Geezer's Bob Groundskeeper Shack'.

"Yep. Ever since high school, but now, I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for the grass cutting around here. I'll pay you three an honest wage for an honest day's work. You interested?"

"Would an, 'honest wage' happen to be...40 Dollars each?" Ben asked hopefully while he and Van clasped their hands together as they gained starry eyes.

"Uh...Well, f-fair enough."

"Yeah, we'll be glad to help," Van says as Geezer Bob nods and goes over to open his shack to reveal three broken and old lawnmowers placed before them.

"Let me introduce you to Frank, Frank Jr., and Seth."

"Uh, no offense, but do those things even still work?" Rook Shadow asked worriedly as Geezer Bob shrugged.

"Needs a little TLC, but they'll do the trick. Now, there's one part of the park that's off-limits due to the Goblin population."

"The what?" A bewildered Rook Shadow asked as he and Van were taken back by what he said while Ben was distracted daydreaming about his future videogame.

"Yep, they can be nasty little critters-,"

"Okay, Bob. We'll get right on it. One cut lawn coming up," Ben says hurriedly while reaching over to grab Van and Shadow's arms as he pulls them into the shack, surprising Geezer Bob as he sighs heavily and shakes his head.

"I sure hope they heard me about the terrible things that'll happen if they go to the wrong part of the park." Geezer Bob says worriedly as he turns around to leave.

"Heh, we're gonna get this done so fast that Van and I'll get to spend the whole picnic playing Sumo Slammer," Ben says with a sly grin as an eager Van nods.

"Yeah, let's do this," Van says while she, Ben, and Rook Shadow activate their Biomnitrixes and Omnitrix before slamming their hands down on them as dual flashes of green and purple lights rang out as we see the trio transforming themselves into-

"Upgrade!" Upgrade screamed while going over to splash himself against Frank and covered it with black goo that was covered with purple circuitry-like lines as he proceeds to upgrade it and transformed it into a huge high-tech and advanced, rocket powered lawnmower as he zoomed out of Geezer Bob's Shack and began zipping around at high speeds to cut the grass of half the lawn placed across the whole park as Ben cheered loudly.

"Freakazette!" Freakazette shouted while reaching behind her to pull out a bunch of tools from her Hammerspace and went over to begin fixing up Frank Jr. until it looked fixed and brand new as she then landed on top of it and allowed Katmeleon to land on her lap as Van zoomed out of the shack and began riding around the park at high speeds to cut the other half of the grass in the park.

"Fasttrack!" Fasttrack yelled while ditching Seth as he simply rushed out of the shack and used the fins on his legs to cut the remaining grass that the Biomnitrix Wielders were unable to cut as, when they were done, disaster strucked when Upgrade accidentally ran over a tree root, causing him to be sent flying up into the air and crash down into the woods as a worried Freakazette and Fasttrack zoomed over to keep up with him. "Whoa, Upgrade, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm alright. Man, thank god that this bush broke my fall. That could have been bad." Upgrade says reassuringly while landing on a big thick bush as he dropped down into the ground, and his friends sighed in relief as they were planning to leave, only for a bunch of tiny wooden stakes to be thrown at them randomly, not hurting them at all as they turned their heads and spotted a bunch of tiny figures hiding behind a tree as they realized that they were spotted and run away.

"What the heck?! Get back here! You can't just attack us and leave!" An angry Freakazette says while riding forward with Upgrade as Fasttrack zipped after them, and the trio arrived at a clearing as they were instantly surrounded by a group of Goblins. "What the fuck?!" A surprised Freakazette says just as the Goblins tossed a bunch of tiny wooden stakes at them as Upgrade merely summoned a Mini Flamethrower to fire a small stream of green flames that vaporized the wooden stakes into ashes as the Goblins then pulled out a bunch of wooden catapults and tossed several large rocks at them as Freakazette quickly reached behind her to pull out her Mallet from her Hammer Space and swung it around to destroy all of the incoming rocks as Fasttrack then zoomed ahead and used his afterimage trail to create a platform of purple/black energy that allowed him, Upgrade, and Freakazette to run/ride up into the air to escape from the Goblins as said people began chasing after them.

"Why didn't he tell us there were evil garden gnomes in the park?!" An annoyed Upgrade as we then fast forward in time, and after ditching the Lawnmowers, we see the trio running back to Geezer Bob's Shack after Quick Changing back into their Normal Forms as they ran up to their Temporary Boss with the crowd of Goblins following after them.

"Geezer Bob!" Rook Shadow yelled worriedly, surprising Geezer Bob as he stopped whittling and stood up from his chair as the Old Man ran up to the kids.

"Are you all right, kiddos?"

"Yeah, but what are those things?" Rook Shadow asked while pointing over at the Goblins as Geezer Bob grew serious.

"I call them Billy-Bob Goblins, or sometimes Boblins, and, well, they're neighbors." Geezer Bob says as the Goblins begin screaming angrily.

"Are they always so neighborly?" Ben asked nervously as Geezer Bob shrugged.

"I didn't say they were good neighbors." Geezer Bob says just as the Goblin King appeared as he began ranting furiously.

"Who is this?" Van asked while holding Katmeleon as Geezer Bob turned to her.

"That's their king. These nasty fellers are mighty protective of their territory. I tried to warn you three, but you were in such a gol-darn hurry." Geezer Bob says with a scolding tone as the trio smiles sheepishly and apologetically just as the Goblins reared back their heads as they began laughing manically.

"Oh, this ain't good."

"What does that mean?"

"If they laugh like that, it means they are going to attack, and plan to retaliate. And once they get in a frenzy, who knows what they're capable of doing?" Geezer Bob says worriedly as the Goblins roared angrily and rushed past them to try and attack the park. "Oh, no, they're going over to destroy the park. The more riled up they get, the more dangerous they are. At this rate, the park and maybe the city are in danger."

"The city is in danger? That means it's Hero Time/It's Time To Alien Up!" A grinning Ben and Van say while they and Rook Shadow activated their Biomnitrixes and Omnitrix as they raised their arms and slammed their hands down on them as triple flashes of green and purple lights rang out as we see them transforming themselves into-

"Heatblast!" Heatblast screamed while manipulating the ground underneath him to break apart and float him upwards as it was covered with orange/yellow flames.

"Coldphase!" Coldphase shouted while unfolding her wings as she flew upwards.

"Astrodactyl!" Astrodactyl yelled as they were surprised to see that Geezer Bob seemed unfazed by their transformations. "This doesn't weird you out at all?" Astrodactyl asked confusedly as a deadpanned Geezer Bob gestured over at the Goblins.

"Yeah, good point," Coldphase says with a giggle as Heatblast grins and lowers himself over to Geezer Bob.

"Come on, it's time to get a bird's-eye view," Heatblast says while allowing Geezer Bob to get on his flaming comet as they all took flight and began hovering above the Goblins as the Old Man began speaking the Language of the Goblins to their foes, who were wreaking havoc in the park, but then grew angry and turned around to chase after them.

"Wow, it's really working. What did you say to them?" A surprised Coldphase asked as Geezer Bob grinned slyly.

"I just keep hitting them with, 'Your Mama', jokes. Billy-Bob Goblins are really touchy about their mamas."

"Nice," Astrodactyl says with a laugh as they then flew over to a clearing and the Goblins chased after them as, after getting close to the trio, Rook Shadow then flew down, and held out his arms to create a bunch of purple energy ropes made out of Star Power as he was able to tie up all of the Goblins and allowed for Coldphase to rear back her head as she blew out a big blast of cryo frost that collided against the Goblins, freezing them in a big block of ice as the trio flew down to land on the ground.

"I think that's about all of them." Geezer Bob says as the trio cheered happily and shared high-fives.

"Welp, now that we are done, what do we do now?" Coldphase asked curiously as Heatblast rubbed his chin and got an idea as we fast forward in time, and we see the group standing in front of the forest after Van, who was transformed as White Fang, had come back from placing the now unfrozen Goblins back in their Village as Ben was transformed as Wildvine and Rook Shadow was transformed into a new alien form.

Standing before them is Rook Shadow transformed into his New Fusion Form of a Methanosian and a Galilean as he resembles a 6'10-feet-tall Male Humanoid Planet/Plant-Like Alien as he literally resembles a living planet and was a silicon-based lifeform as he has a large and bulky build with a pair of oval-shaped pupilless purple eyes, no hair/eyebrows/ears/nose, a giant mouth with teeth that also made out of dark purple rocks, a pair of big arms with black-colored four long clawed fingers with spikes on the knuckles and dark purple holes in the palms, a molten lava planet core at the center of his body, a dark purple/black-colored rocky/plant body with six black horns that have dark purple spots and all of them aesthetically resembled flames as there were two on each forearm and one on each shoulder as well as a dark purple horn on each foot/knee/elbow, a pair of dark purple thick huge root-like feet that are seemingly holding black rocks, and his outfit consists of a navy blue belt with black stripes as the Omnitrix Symbol was located in the middle of the belt, and pair of black shorts with dark purple stripes as his body also reeks of a distinct rotten stench that worsens with heat. Rook Shadow had now transformed into his combined Male Fusion of Swampfire and Gravattack named...Swampattack!

"Aarrrgh, grrraawwwr, hrrrmm, hrrrmm hrrrmm hrrrmmhrrrmm, (Okay, I had put them all back in their village)," White Fang says as, while they didn't understand her, they could more or less figure out what she was trying to say.

"Okay, now let's give them their privacy," Wildvine says while placing his hands on the ground as he created a huge amount of trees and bushes all around the woods, preventing anyone from getting in and out of the woods as Swampattack then raised his glowing purple hands and used his Gravity Powers to rip out the forest as it flew upwards and quickly manipulated the plant life underneath him to pop out a bunch of trees and vines that helped keep the woods up high into the air.

"Well, here's hoping they like the new arrangement," Swampattack says as, indeed, the Goblins seemed to love this new arrangement.

"And now, for services rendered, if you please, good sir," Wildvine says excitedly as he and the others hold out their arms.

"Okay, here you go." Geezer Bob says while handing forty dollars to each of them as they all grin happily.

"Rrrragggh (Sweet)," White Fang says with a smirk as she shares a fistbump with Wildvine and Swampattack as Katmeleon could be seen sleeping under the shade of a nearby tree.
