Meeting the Wives Part 1

"Presenting the new lord of the house, Mister Daniel James Fenton!" announced Walter.

Danny took a deep breath and steeled his nerves. He knew that there was no going back now.

Danny was guided to the middle of the room where he would be meeting his brides face to face. As he tried to keep himself from hyperventilating due to his nerves, the first of the women walked up with a woman whom he assumed to be her mother. After all, they looked quite similar to each other in both appearance and height.

"Hello there, Daniel. It's an honor to meet you." said the older blonde. "My name is Artoria Pendragon, and this is my daughter, Mordred Pendragon."

Artoria is a young woman with a slender and petite physique, soft skin, and green eyes. She has 'finely textured' blonde hair that seems 'as if sprinkled with gold dust'. Her face shows some signs of naivety and displays elegance. She was wearing a blue, knee-length skirt with tights underneath, a white shirt with a blue string tie, and a pair of brown boots.

Her daughter, Mordred, is a young woman who is small in stature with blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin. Her attire didn't qute match the occasion as she was wearing a tube top that exposes her abdomen, a pair of short jean shorts, and a red leather jacket.

Danny respectfully shook hands with Artoria while Mordred just gave him the stink eye as she crossed her arms under her chest and looked away. Danny sighed as he realized that she must not be happy about the arranged marriage. Let alone having to share her husband with fifteen other women. He honestly didn't blame her for having such a reaction.

"Mordred, don't be rude. I know that you're not exactly thrilled about this situation, but you should at least try to get to know Danny as a person before you go making judgement calls about him." Artoria said, scolding her daughter.

But Mordred just scoffed and said, "What's there to know about him? He's a famous half ghost who saved the world from a giant meteor that would have destroyed the planet.".

"Well, there's a lot more to me than my ghost fighting alter-ego." Danny said, getting the two's attention. "For one, I have dreams of being an astronaut one day. And I don't even like being famous! I'm constantly hounded by reporters and fans who seem to have no self-preservation instincts and can barely get a moment's privacy because of them! Not to mention my previous relationship failed because of the reporters and the rabid fans and the rampant ghost attacks! In fact, I'm not ashamed to admit that I wish I had my secret identity back."

It was a good thing that Desiree was back in the ghost zone. Because otherwise who knows how she might have twisted his wish.

Mordred's gaze softened somewhat as she felt some sympathy for Danny. She could somewhat relate to his situation, but for entirely different reasons. So, she sighed and put a hand on Danny's shoulder.

"Look, let's get a few things straight here. Neither of us expected to be in a situation like this, and I'm pretty sure that if circumstances were different, we'd both be trying to find an out. But I'm willing to give this a chance if you are willing to. So, for now, let's just take things slow. Deal?" offered Mordred.

Danny just gave a small smile and shook her hand as he replied, "Deal.".

With that done, Mordred went back to her seat with her mother who must have said something that embarrassed Mordred, because her face suddenly turned redder than her jacket and steam started rising from her head. Danny couldn't help but quietly chuckle at that. He's had many moments where his parents said or did something to embarrass him in his youth, and into his young adult life.

"I've been there before." Danny silently commented.

"I'm pretty sure at least most of us have." said a woman's voice.

Danny looked up and saw two of the women walking over to him. They looked different from each other, but they were no less beautiful.

The woman who spoke before gave Danny a small wave as she said, "Nice to meet you. I'm Samus Aran, and this is Nico Robin. She's a good friend of mine.".

Samus is slender and light-skinned with an athletic physique. Her long blonde hair is held up in a high ponytail, and her eyes are blue with a green tinge. She appears to be caucasian. She was wearing a blue, semi-formal dress that left her back bare, the skirt stopping just above her knees, and a pair of high heels.

Nico Robin is a tall, slender young woman with shoulder-length black hair styled in a classic hime cut and cerulean-blue eyes that have dark, wide pupils. She also has a long, thin, and defined nose. Her skin is a light tone but appears to be slightly darker than Samus or Mordred's skin color. Robin's limbs are very long, especially her legs, contributing greatly to her overall height.

Robin bowed and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Daniel. Although, I'm certain we all wish that it were under less awkward circumstances.".

Danny scratched the back of his head sheepishly and replied, "Yeah, I understand. To be honest, I didn't think that arranged marriages or marriage contracts were still in use in this day and age.", before he asked, "You're not gonna blame me for this situation, are you?".

"Why would we do that?" Samus asked before saying, "You weren't the one who made that bet. You hadn't even been born at the time, so it'd be kinda pointless to blame you for our current situation, don't you think?"

"Besides," Robin posed and gave Danny a flirty wink as she said, "You're about to live out every man's dream of being married to several beautiful women."

"Well, that may be most men's dream, but I personally think that it wouldn't be the easy life that guys normally think it is. For one, I have to make sure that I don't start favoring any one of my wives above everyone else, unintentional or otherwise. Plus, it will be pretty hard to remember every little detail about everyone. Your likes, dislikes, hobbies, favorite things, stuff like that." Danny said, stating his concerns. "I'm honestly afraid that I'll do something wrong and end up breaking this whole family apart and making everyone miserable because of my own actions…"

This made Robin drop the flirty attitude as she and Samus looked at each other. They were pleased that they weren't going to be marrying some macho horn-dog who would probably have treated them more like property rather than as women and family. And his concerns were certainly valid. But at the same time, they smiled at each other

"And already, you've shown us that you're great husband material." Robin said.

Danny raised an eyebrow and replied, "I don't think I follow.".

"It's simple, Danny. Most men would be over the moon about their situation and probably start parading us around like we're trophies that they won, not thinking or caring about our feelings in the slightest. But you've shown that you're not like that. You're aware of the difficulties of having such a large family, and how your choices might affect this relationship. You're thinking with the head on your shoulders instead of the one between your legs, so you've already shown that you're better than most men in this situation." Samus explained. "So, while neither of us can say that we love you just yet, we're willing, at least, to give this whole thing a shot and see where things go from here."

Danny could only nod at Samus's explanation and accepted her logic.

"By the way, Robin, who are all of those people with you?" Danny asked.

"Oh, those are friends of mine." Robin said as she gestured for the group to come over. "You see, I have no living relatives. So, when I got word of this whole situation, I asked for them to come with me for emotional support."

The group made their way over and Danny and his parents were greeted by… a living skeleton?

"Yo-hohohohohohoho! It's such a pleasure to meet you. Hello and good day to you all. I'm one of Robin's friends whom she brought along for moral support as she came to meet her recently revealed fiancé. Once dead, now bones, my name is Brook, and I do hope that we can get along."

Danny and his family took a step back as they exclaimed, "Are you kidding me? What the heck IS this thing?".

"Yo-Hohohoho! Oh my, they're as tough a crowd as you guys were when we first met." laughed Brook as he spoke to the others.

The man wearing a straw hat just smiled and chuckled at Brook's behavior while the red-head woman and the blonde man with a swirly eyebrow just sighed. They were used to Brook's eccentricities, but this was not how they wanted to introduce him to Robin's fiancé.

"Please don't haunt me!" cried Jazz as she held a cross out in front of her.

Jack moved to stand protectively between Jazz and Brook, whose eye sockets landed on Danny's mother.

"My goodness, what a beautiful young woman you are. If it's not too much trouble, would you-OW!"

Brook couldn't finish that sentence, however, as he was hit in the head by Danny's thrown shoe.

"I DON'T NEED TO HEAR THE REST OF THAT SENTENCE TO KNOW THAT THAT WAS ABOUT TO BE SEXUAL HARASSMENT!" yelled Danny as his eyes became blank, angry triangles and his teeth turned sharp like a shark's.

Maddie and Jazz heard several mechanical noises and looked at Jack only to see him decked out with as many ghost fighting weapons as he could handle. Mostly ecto blasters and the Fenton Thermos. Along with a targeting lens over his left eye.

"I should have remembered that you never leave home without some of our ghost capturing gear! You've got him now!" exclaimed Maddie.

"Don't move, you fiend! One false step, and it's into the Fenton Thermos with you! Evil begone! Evil begone!" Jack said as he took a few threatening steps towards Brook.

To which the skeleton took a step back and said, "Oh my, how frightening…".

"It's working, he's actually backing down!" Jazz cheered with a smile.

Jack just chuckled triumphantly as he held up the Fenton Thermos and said, "Of course he is. I mean, Danny's trapped lots of ghosts in this thing in the past, so I'm sure it'll work now.".

But what nobody expected was for the skeleton, Brook, to start looking around as he panicked.

"Wh-Where is this evil creature? I can't see it!" asked Brook.

Prompting Jack, Jazz, and Maddie to adopt the same angry face that Danny had before and yell, "IT'S YOU, STUPID!", at him which caused Brook to freak out. Of course, the man with the straw hat just laughed at the interaction as he didn't seem to see a problem. Even Robin was actually grinning at the performance. Though, whether this meant she found it funny or not remains to be seen.

"Damn it! Now, I believe in ghosts, and their existence has been proven, but there's no way that a walking, talking, afro-sporting, skeleton can exist! This must be a dream! We just need to wake up!" exclaimed Maddie.

"Oh, it's a dream? What a relief." sighed Jazz.

She fell onto her back, sighing in relief at her mother's words as she closed her eyes.

"Uhh, excuse me? Hello? Hello? Good morning."

Jazz opened her eyes… and screamed at the top of her lungs as she saw BROOK'S BONEY FACE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER!

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" screamed Danny before he glared at the man with a straw hat and asked, "What is this thing, and why is it in the mansion!?"

"That's one of our crew members. Isn't he funny?" replied Straw Hat.

"Who cares? He's scaring the hell out of my sister!" growled Danny.

The green-haired swordsman, who seemed just as angry as Danny, turned to the redhead woman and the blonde man with a swirly eyebrow and said, "This is exactly why I told you to stop Luffy! What the hell happened? Were you just sitting around picking your noses while he brought the skeleton to meet Robin's fiancé?".

"I know, we messed up." they groaned in unison.

"Yo-hohohoho! Now, now, let's be civil, everyone. Why don't we all take a seat, and we can talk wedding plans?" Brook suggested.

Only for everyone to yell, "YOU DON'T GET TO DECIDE THAT!", at him.

Once again, the man with a straw hat, now known as Luffy, just laughed again as he said, "I love this guy!".

After taking a moment to calm everyone down, Robin and Samus answered a few questions that Danny had for them as the three told each other a little bit about themselves. Such as how Robin has a penchant for learning about ancient history, and how Samus's parents died in a terrorist attack before she was adopted and raised by a wise elderly man. In turn, Danny shared his own dreams of becoming an Astronaut one day, as well as the stresses that he has had to deal with ever since he became a famous superhero. And after a warning from the blonde man, Sanji, to treat Robin right or they'd never find his body, everyone went back to their seats as another woman walked up.

Danny sheepishly scratched the back of his head as he said to her, "Sorry that took so long. I was not expecting to meet a living skeleton today.".

"It's all good. I don't think any of us were. Anyway, the name's Franceska Mila Rose. But just call me Mila Rose." she replied.

Mila Rose is a tall woman with dark skin, green eyes, long, thick, wavy black hair and large breasts. She wears a strange structure that seems to resemble a three-sectioned crown around her head and a thick necklace. Her choice of attire heavily resembles something that could have been worn by an amazon warrior, with multiple layers of armor covering her breasts and upper arms, gauntlets on her forearms, and a white skirt.

"It's nice to meet you, Mila Rose. I'm Daniel Fenton, but I guess you already knew that. But just call me Danny, everyone does." he said before asking, "So, what do you think of Amity Park so far?"

Mila shrugged and replied, "I haven't really visited the town itself, so I have no opinion yet. But it seems like a nice, quiet place to live. Ghost attacks aside, of course.".

Danny just nodded and hummed in agreement. To be honest, he could definitely do with less ghost attacks. Especially these days. But while he was thinking about these things, he was unaware of how Mila Rose was seemingly sizing him up. Like a fighter trying to gauge their opponent's strength.

'So, he's supposed to be the half ghost hero who saved the planet? He doesn't look like much. Especially compared to Harribel-Sama.' she thought to herself. 'Still, if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's never underestimate your opponent, or it could get you killed. I learned that the hard way… And at least he's handsome, I'll give him that.'

After talking for a little longer and sharing a few things about themselves with each other, such as their likes, dislikes, and hobbies, Mila Rose went back to her seat as another young woman, who looked to be about Danny's age, walked over to introduce herself. Although Danny felt kind of awkward meeting her, not just because of the whole marriage contract and marrying fifteen other women situation, but it was mostly because this girl was looking at him with an emotionless expression. There was nothing on her face to convey any sort of emotion. At least not that he could see. Not to mention the hooded blue cloak that she wears which casts a shadow that obscures her facial features from the nose up, leaving only her eyes and mouth visible.

"Uhhh… hi." Danny greeted with an awkward wave.

"Hello." she greeted back in an equally emotionless voice.

"So, uh… what's your name?" Danny asked before thinking to himself, 'Oh my god, this is so awkward. I mean, I know that there are introverts out there in the world, but I didn't think any of them could be this emotionless!'

The woman in question simply shrugged and lowered the hood of her cloak as she replied, "My name is Rachel. But everyone just calls me Raven.".

Rachel, or Raven, is a young woman with a dark and mysterious appearance, but is overall very beautiful. She is very slender with pale, grayish-white skin, violet eyes, and somewhat thick eyebrows. She has straight, asymmetrical angled violet hair and a prominent widow's peak. She also has a red gemstone outlined in black in the center of her forehead. Underneath her cloak she wore a black leotard with long sleeves, a golden belt with red gemstones embedded in it that hung at an angle around her hips, and a pair of blue shoes.

But after that introduction, things became quite a bit awkward again as silence reigned.

"You don't speak much, do you?" Danny asked,

Raven simply shrugged and said, "I just prefer peace and quiet and don't enjoy socializing much.".

"Ah, so you're an introvert?" Danny asked, before saying, "Guess you and I have, or rather had, something in common. I was an introvert during my middle school years.".

Raven raised an eyebrow at this information and asked, "Really?".

"Yeah, really. I was in a phase in my life where I preferred to not be around people, I was obsessed with anime and manga, hyperfixated on my dream of being an astronaut, and I'll be honest, if it weren't for my friends, Sam and Tucker, I might not have had any form of social interaction." Danny replied. "Back then, everything else felt pointless to me. But I eventually grew out of that phase of my life."

Raven couldn't help but sigh and say, "If only such a thing were so easy for someone like me.".

Danny raised an eyebrow at her comment but chose not to say anything as she went back to her seat. Walter sighed as he walked up to Danny and handed him a cup of tea.

"Please forgive Miss Roth, Master Daniel, she has been through much in her life. And these events have caused her to almost completely cut herself off from her emotions." he explained.

Danny nodded with a hum before suggesting, "Why don't we take a break from introductions for a little bit?".

Walter nodded and announced to the room that they would be taking a ten minute break as Danny went to sit down and try to de-stress.
