Sometime later
After Bennett was signed up for kindergarten. Brooke drove the two over to the storefront she had bought. She opened the door and moved was walked around.
Bennett walked in nervously.(What is this place momma?) The 5 year old asked.
(This is where the new store is going to be. We're starting over. LA was great while it lasted but that is over) Brooke explained.
(But momma what if the bad man finds us again?) Bennett questioned.
Brooke took his hands in hers. Staring into his eyes.
(You're safe here. Momma loves you more than anything. I'll protect you.)
(No matter what.) Brooke proclaimed.
Bennett hugged her. Feeling reassured by her words.
Brooke hugged him tightly.
(If it isn't Tigger.) A voice said.
(Haley.) Brooke said. The two old friends hugged each other.
(What brought you back?) Haley asked.
(Long story. How is Naley family?) Brooke asked.
(I'm teaching at the high school. Basketball is going so well for Nathan.)
(Jamie and Lydia keep us busy. Who is this adorable boy?) Haley asked.
Brooke waved as Bennet walked over.
(This is you're aunt Haley. She's one of my closest friends.) Brooke explained.
Haley smiled warmly. Getting down to his level.
(I'm Haley james Scott. What's you're name?) She asked.
(Bennet Brian Davis.) He replied.
(Nice to meet you.) Haley replied.
Haley turned then went into her purse. She started to write then handed the paper to Brooke.
(My cellphone number. Reach out anytime the kids can play. We can catch up.) Haley explained.
