Truth and Fantasy

Chapter 4

How does it feel to be forgotten?

I hope one day you heal.

I slowly started to put together my vision for this new store.

Once Bennett officially began school.

I began to see and catch up with various people I cared about. Missed.

Leaving them behind the way I did. I didn't expect warm reception.

But I think they could feel and sense that there was more to me.

Leaving and staying away then I was able to explain.

The truth of me coming back didn't need to be expanded on.

It wasn't anyone's business.

Which wasn't much. Only when I needed something or Bennett asked for what I didn't already have.

Who had slept in my bed after a nightmare.

I put on my slippers. Made my way downstairs.

The knocking got louder.

I peered though the peephole. Hesitated about opening it.

But knew. I couldn't keep avoiding him.

So I unlocked and opened the door.

(I didn't expect to ever see you back here.).

(What are running from now?) Lucas questioned.

(Why I'm back isn't you're concern.) Brooke replied.

(That kid you have around so much. Am I the father?) Lucas asked.

(How's Peyton? Or is it Lindsey Strauss now?) Brooke questioned.

(Yes Bennett is yours.) Brooke confirmed.

(Rachel's family cabin.) Lucas said

Brooke nodded her head in agreement.

(I can't believe you! But this is how you want it.)

(To raise him on you're own. Because of who i was a long time ago.)

(Have it you're way.) Lucas proclaimed. Before leaving.
