Episode 88: Unfair-Weather Friends
It's another beautiful day for Mew and her friends as they continue on their journey towards Fortree City and Mew's next gym battle.
Mew sighs, "I can't believe how awesome the weather is!"
Pikachu and Eevee respond in their language, (Neither can I.)
"Yeah, the sun is shining, the wind is breezing and…" Jen happily says.
But suddenly, Jen feels a raindrop.
"Huh?" Jen says, confused.
"That felt like a raindrop," May says.
That's when the rain REALLY starts pouring. Everyone panics and begins running to find some cover.
"Look. There's a tree up ahead," Zinnia says.
"Let's get under it!" Brock says.
Suddenly, lightning flashes and it strikes one of the trees.
"And there's lightning too," Max says.
Suddenly, the rain freezes and changes to snow.
"Huh?" The gang reacts.
"Look, it's snowing," Molly says.
"But how? It was raining a minute ago?" May asks.
Soon, the snow turned into a blizzard.
"This is nuts! What's going on?!" Tomo asks.
Just then, Mew's Pokemon, Castform, comes out and changes his appearance.
Castform is an artificial Pokémon, and its body is made of cells exactly like those of water molecules, causing its cellular structure to be chemically altered by temperature and humidity. Normally, Castform resembles a plain, gray cloud with a single wisp extending from the top of its head.
Soon, Castform changes into a Snowy Form. This has a purplish-blue head, and its body is in the shape of a mint green, cumulonimbus cloud, and has a smooth-ice material body.
"Castform, why did you come out of your Pokeball?" Mew asks.
Castfrom looks up, "Form!" (Look there!)
"Huh?" Mew responds and looks up.
Mew and the others look to see another Castform, and it's in the same form.
"It's another Castform," Brock says.
Mew brings out her Pokedex, and Dextette says, "Castform, the Weather Pokémon. A Normal Type. Castform is able to transform its appearance depending on the weather. It uses the power of nature to transform and protect its small body."
Snowy Form Castform says, "Cast Castform!" (Follow me!)
"That Castform said 'Follow me,'" Mew says.
"But who knows where's Castform's going? We could get lost," May says, unsure.
But Max says, "Anywhere is better than staying out here."
"Yeah. We don't want to freeze from that," Brock says.
"Alright Castform, lead the way," Tomo says.
"Castform, you follow the other Castform too," Mew says.
"Castform," (Will do.) Mew's Castform says.
Everyone follows behind the two Castforms, but before they could get far, the snowstorm stops, and it becomes sunny.
"Hey, where did the blizzard go?" Jen asks.
"It was here a minute ago," Molly says.
"Look," May says.
Soon, both Castform revert back to their original forms.
"Soon. they change form just like Dextette said," May says.
Soon, two people in lab coats arrive on the scene.
"Hello there," A man's voice says.
The group looks to see the two people. One of them is a man with dark hair, fair skin and bluish eyes. He wears a white lab coat, a yellow collared shirt, and a teal necktie, gray pants and dark shorts.
The other is a woman who has light fair skin, dark magenta hair in a side ponytail, wears a small necklace, and wears a pink colored shirt. She also has a Ditto on her shoulder.
The woman says, "We're sorry."
"The crazy weather changes were caused by our research. Sorry," The man says.
"Research?" Mew questions.
"You're saying that you can actually change the weather," May says.
Brock happily says, "Wow!" And approaches the woman, "Your genius is equaled only by your incredible beauty."
"What?" The woman says, confused.
"Sorry about that," Zinnia says.
"Max, this is your cue," May says.
"Okay, here we go again," Max says and approaches Brock.
But then, the Romeo vibe quickly leaves Brock's face.
"What's this?" Max asks.
"Huh?" Zinnia, Jen, and Molly reply confused.
Mew walks over, "Brock, are you okay?"
"I don't know why, but something seems to throw my charisma out of whack," Brock says.
"Really?" Mew questions.
Just then, her other Pokemon, Shiny Ditto comes out and lands on Mew's head. Seeing the woman's Ditto. The Shiny Ditto says hello. And the woman's Ditto greets back.
Then the man says, "Hi, uh, my name is Bart, and I'm the manager of the Weather Institute near here," Then gestures to the woman, "And this is Millie."
"Hello, my name is Ashley," Mew says, "These are my buddies, Pikachu, Eevee, my Castform, and Ditto. This is May and her younger brother, Max. Tomo and his partners, Meloetta and Skwovet. Molly. Jen and her Amaura. Zinnia, and you've already met Brock."
"If you'd like to come to the institute for a little rest, you're more than welcome," Bart says.
"Appreciate it, thanks," Zinnia says.
Mew then looks at the woman, Millie and has an odd feeling about her.
Meanwhile, in another part of the nearby forest, snow was falling and Team Rocket was caught in a snowdrift.
"Leave it to the twerps to drag us through three seasons in one day," Jessie says, angrily.
"Had I known, I would've dressed more appropriately!" James says.
"I don't know, dis snow feels like a warm, cozy blankie," Meowth says, and about to fall asleep.
But Jessie wakes him in order to get him up, "Are you nuts, Meowth?! Don't you remember what happened the last couple of times we got caught in that blizzard?!"
"She's right! One snooze in a snowstorm will be the last one you ever take!" James agrees.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others arrive at the weather institute.
"Well, here we are, everyone. Feast your eyes on the Weather Institute!" Bart says.
And Millie says, "That giant dish is what we use for our weather controlling experiments."
"I can't believe you actually made a machine that can control weather," May says,
"We sure do," Millie says.
Bart turns to Millie, "Millie, if you don't mind, I'd like you to show our new friends around the institute, okay?"
"Sure, I'd love to," Millie says. Then turns to the group, "So, follow me, everyone."
The group agrees and does so.
"I know she hasn't been employed here for very long, but I'm impressed with her work," Brock says.
One of the scientists says, "I'm certain she'll make a great researcher one day."
"Me too," Bart says.
Meanwhile, everyone is inside the building as Millie gives them the tour.
Millie explains, "The computers here contain weather data that's collected from every corner of our planet. At the moment, we're concentrating on natural disasters around the world."
"Natural disasters, huh," May says.
"Did you also research the incident at the Orange Islands?" Mew asks.
"As a matter of fact, yes," Millie says.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket had found their way to the institute.
"So, that satellite dish messes around with the weather," Jessie says.
"That's what we can thank for our summertime blast of winter," James says.
Then, Meowth has an idea, "Dat blizzard was pretty brutal, but it gives me an ideer."
Jessie guests, "Let me guess, Meowth, take over the institute?"
"The boss would love a weather changing device," James says.
Team Rocket cheers, "The forecast is calling for a big promotion, and lots of money in the bank!"
Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet!" (Let's do it!)
But Meowth realizes, "Wait a sec! How are we gonna lug that load from here to there?"
"The same way we always do in situations like this, improvise," James says.
"Only this time, we'll make sure it actually works," Jessie says, "This'll finally be our day in the sun!"
"Hopefully without da snow?" Meowth says.
They look up and soon spot an aircraft.
Meanwhile, inside the institute.
"And this is the central computer room," Millie says.
"It's pretty big," Tomo says.
"More like huge," May says.
"I've never seen cooler equipment in my life!" Max says.
"This place is state-of-the-art," Brock says.
Castform looks at the place curiously.
"What's up, Castform?" Mew asks.
Mew's Castoform says, "Castform Form!" (Why does this place look familiar?)
"Familiar?" Mew asks.
"I think it's because the Weather Institute, from the first day of operation, created Castfrom," Millie says.
"Castforms were created?" Mew asks.
"Yes. However, some of them escaped and went out to live free in the wild. However, it would appear that your Castform has some homing instinct, so it can tell this is the place it was created," Millie says.
"That's amazing," May says.
Then Zinnia says, "Hey look."
Everyone looks at a nearby security camera screen and sees what Team Rocket saw, a helicopter.
"It's a helicopter," Mew says.
Outside, inside the helicopter.
Someone says, "We have reached the targeted area."
And soon, revealed in the cockpit, the helicopter is one of Team Aqua's, and it's commandeered by Shelly."
"If everyone's ready, we'll begin the first stage of this mission, now," Shelly says.
On the underside of the helicopter, several hatchways open and Team Aqua grunts, along with Shelly herself, slide down and out on ropes.
Bart and the scientists react, "Huh?!"
Team Aqua soon lands and points devices at the scientists.
"Hold on! Who are you?!" Bart demands.
Suddenly, the grunts launched rings from their devices that trapped the scientists.
Then Shelly calls out, "Okay, Crawdaunt let's go!"
Soon, both of Shelly's Crawdaunt come out of their Pokeballs.
"I suggest you remain very still. It'd be a shame to hurt you, or worse," Shelly says.
Up on a cliff, Team Rocket spies
"If it isn't Shelly and Team Aqua," Jessie says.
"What are they doing here?" James asks.
Meowth suggests, "Dey're probably after da weather machine, or perhaps doing something that related to the legendary Pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre."
"You might be right," James says.
And Meowth says, "So it's best we do what we're best at."
"Let's hide," Team Rocket says.
However, they find themselves cornered by three Aqua grunts.
One Grunt asks, "Alright, so who are you three?"
Team Rocket soon performs their motto.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble cause you're in for a treat.
James:
Make it double, it's high time for your defeat.
Meowth interrupts the motto, "Dere's a time for self-promotion, but dis ain't it!"
"Oh, come on, Meowth. Where's your sense of drama?" James says.
The motto continues.
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie.
James:
James.
Jessie:
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight and fight!
Meowth:
Meowth, dat's right.
Wobbuffet:
Wobbuffet! (That's a wrap!)
Right then and there, the grunts lock Team Rocket up in their rings. Of course, the Aqua Grunts look at Team Rocket like they're crazy, and too easy to catch.
"You wanted drama, you got it," Meowth says.
Soon, the scientists and Team Rocket are placed on a platform in the middle of a body of water.
"As members of Team Rocket, we have our rights!" Jessie shouts.
"Your injustices won't go unpunished!" James says.
"You're going to regret capturing us, just as soon as we break free," Jessie says.
Then Meowth asks, "Hey, Jessie, do you have a plan for us?"
"I do, try to squeeze through the rings by pushing all the air out of our bodies," Jessie says.
"Okay, here goes," James says, not sure, but willing to give it a try.
He does so and the ring slides off, "It worked!"
"Okay, now our toin," Meowth says.
Jessie and Meowth do the same thing and get free, too.
"Alright, Shelly, you and your pirates better prepare yourselves for some serious regretting!" Jessie says.
"And you can forget about that weather machine, it's been spoken for," James says.
"Yeah, by Team Rocket!" Meowth says.
Then Shelly says, "All of that incessant babbling is starting to give me a headache. Maybe a little change in the weather can help cool them down for good," Then turns to one of the Grunts, "Turn it on!"
"Right!" Aqua Grunt says.
The satellite soon activates and storm clouds quickly form, causing Bart's Castform to change to its Rainy form. It has a dark gray lower half resembling a storm cloud. The head turns blue and resembles a raindrop. Its body is soft and slippery and seeps with water when compressed.
Bart grows worried, "Oh, no! Everyone, hit the dirt!" and drop to the ground.
"Right!" The scientists say, and do so.
Meowth replies, confused, "Huh?"
"Strange time for a nap," Jessie says.
Suddenly, the dish causes the storm clouds to create lightning, which zaps Team Rocket and knocks them out.
"Goodnight," Team Rocket says, before passing out.
Inside, Mew and the others have seen everything. And because of the weather, Mew's Castform has changed to a rainy form as well.
"It's Team Rocket," May says.
"And Team Aqua is there too," Zinnia says.
Millie turns to the group, "Team who? Who are they all?"
"Team Rocket are just a gang of criminals who use Pokémon for evil purposes," Brock says.
"And they are set on capturing the legendary Pokemon Kyogre to flood the world," Jen adds.
"But what are they doing at the institute at the same time?" Molly asks.
"Maybe they're both after something that's here?" May suggests.
"Yeah, and I bet that it's that weather machine," Max says.
Millie watches with interest. Mew has her eyes turn to Millie, and is having a very uneasy feeling about her, and she doesn't like it.
Meanwhile, back outside…
"Have you managed to locate the data we're looking for yet?" Shelly asks.
Aqua grunt answers, "Not yet, but I've got access to the main computer from here and I'm searching now."
"Hurry it up. We need to locate that information on ancient Pokemon and their weather phenomenon, and there's not much time. They may provide a clue as to where to locate Targets G and K."
"But why ancient Pokemon? And what are Targets G and K? Unless you're talking about…" Bart wonders and realizes, "You're trying to extract our data on the weather phenomenon created by the clashes between Groudon and Kyogre!"
"Getting a little nosey, aren't you?" Shelly says.
Then Aqua Grunt says, "Commander Shelly, we need an access card to get the information we're looking for."
Shelly points to Bart, "You're the manager, are you not? Give me your access card."
Bart then takes out the card as he says to his Pokemon, "Castform, get this card to Millie," And places it around Castform's neck, "Go!"
Castform agrees and heads off with the card around its neck.
Shelly calls out, "Alright, Crawdaunt, catch that Castform!"
Both Crawdaut pursue it
Bart calls out, "Castform, use Weather Ball, now!"
Castform launches the attack and hits one Crawdaunt, but the other fires a Bubble Beam that hits the Castform. Then, the sun starts to come in as the storm clouds part, causing Castform to turn into its Sunny form.
Bart calls out, "Use Weather Ball again, go!"
Castform fires the attack again and it hits, but does nothing, then the other Crawdaunt joins in.
"You call yourself a manager? You ought to know you can't inflict damage to a Crawduant with a feeble barrage of water and fire attacks," Shelly says.
"Castform, get to Millie, quick!" Bart calls out.
Castform agrees and heads off as it changes back.
Aqua Grunt says, "It went into the air duct!"
Shelly says, "Split into two groups and find that Castform! Bring me that access card!"
Inside the institute, Mew and the others, including Millie, have heard everything.
"So that's what they're after," Zinnia says.
"They want the data on ancient pokemon and to find Kyogre's location," Tomo says.
"We just can't let them get that data," Millie says.
"We won't," Mew says, "We gotta find Castform before they do."
"But how?" Molly asks.
"All the air ducts of the buildings are all connected to this room," Millie says.
"Which means, Castform will be in the same room we are," May says.
"We can check out each air duct in the room and wait for Castform to come out. It's sure to come out from one of them," Zinnia says.
Suddenly, they hear the door open down on the lower floor and they see two Team Aqua grunts and a Crawdaunt enter the room.
Molly whispers, "Two of Team Aqua."
"I bet they're looking for Castform," Tomo says.
Aqua Grunt says, "It's not in here."
The second Aqua Grunt says, "Better search the next room.
They soon hear a noise.
Aqua Grunt: Hold it, you hear something?" The first Aqua Grunt questions.
They soon see a vent cover starting to move around and see Castform coming out.
Aqua Grunt says, "There it is!"
Aqua Grunt #2 calls out, "Get it, Crawdaunt!"
Crawdaunt begins to try capturing the Castform.
Max calls out, "Castform, up here!"
"Come this way!" Millie calls out.
"Hurry!" Tomo calls out.
Castform heads up to them, but it also gives away the group's position.
Millie takes the access card, "Got the card. Safe and sound.
"They've got the card," The first Aqua Grunt says, "And it's with those kids again."
The Aqua Grunt #2 says, "Up the stairs!"
"Guys, go with Millie. I'll handle them," Zinnia says.
"I'll stay and help, Zinnia," Brock says.
"Alright, some of us need to stay behind and handle those two.
"Let's go!" Mew says.
Everyone else runs off as Zinnia and Brock stay behind.
Zinnia calls out, "Leafeon, I choose you!"
"Go Hoppip!" Brock calls out.
Both Pokemon come out of their Pokeballs as the Aqua Grunts run up the steps.
"Hoppip, use Bullet Seed!" Brock calls out.
"Leafeon, use Magical Leaf!" Zinnia says.
Brock and Zinnia's Pokemon perform the attack and manage to strike with full force.
Brock then calls out, "Now, use Sleep Powder!"
Hoppip performs the attack and puts the Aqua Grunts and Crawdaunt to sleep.
"Nice work, Brock," Zinnia says.
"Thanks, you too," Brock says.
Then grows determined, "Now, we gotta deal with the rest of them."
"Right," Zinnia says.
In a hallway, two Aqua grunts search around before heading down another hallway. Once they leave, the rest of the group peeks out from above through the air vent.
"Are they gone?" Tomo whispers
"I dunno but I don't wanna go down and find out," Max whispers.
"Well, we can't stay here forever," Mew whispers.
But then Millie quietly says, "Well, I know one thing we should try and do."
"Huh?" The group questions.
Then Millie whispers, "I could extract the data they're looking for off of the mainframe and hide it."
The gang look confused, Mew looks at Millie with a suspicious expression.
Later, the two Aqua Grunts continue searching around as the group approaches their location.
Max turns the corner and spots them, "Huh?" And hides in shock.
"Max, what's wrong?" Jen quietly asks.
"Team Aqua's right around the corner!" Max says.
Everyone gasps before Mew checks her for herself.
"They're there alright," Mew whispers.
"What'll we do now?" Molly asks.
Aqua Grunt informs, "Commander, there's no sign of Castform here in the central computer room."
"Well, our sensors show that Castform is still inside the building, so continue on with your search and proceed to the next block right away!" Shelly says.
The Male Team Aqua Grunt says, "Yes, Commander."
Mew and the others hear the conversation.
"Seems that Brock and Zinnia were able to get them off our backs," Mew says.
"Yeah. They don't have a clue that Castform is with us," Romo says.
"Even so, we still aren't able to get into the main computer room!" May says.
"We need a distraction," Mew says.
Then Millie has an idea, "Hey, I've got an idea! But we're going to need your help, Ashley."
"Huh?" The group replies, confused.
"Ditto?" Millie says before whispering to Ditto.
"Ditto! Dit, Ditto!" (Okay! I'll do it) Ditto says.
A moment later, both grunts continue to guard the door until they see and hear two Castform coming around the corner
"It's Castform!" Aqua Grunt says.
"Two of them. One of them must belong to those children.
Soon, both Castform hops away and split up.
Aqua Grunt #2 calls out, "Stop!"
Then the two split up to chase the Castform.
Once they turn a corner and leave the hallway, Millie watches them.
"Come on!" Millie says
"Okay!" Everyone agrees.
"Right!" May says.
They run toward the room with her. Meanwhile, Castform continues to run from one of the grunts.
Aqua Grunts calls out, "Wait!"
Castform continues running until Zinnia who has decided to split up with Brock to find the others.
"Castform! Over here!" Zinnia calls out.
Castform hops toward them.
And SZinnia picks it up, "Gotcha."
Then she runs for it while the Aqua Grunt pursue
Aqua Grunt shouts, "Stop!"
Meanwhile, the other Castform hurries down the hall and runs into Brock.
Brock says, "Castform, over here."
Castform hurries to Brock. Brock picks Castform and runs off.
The other Aqua Grunt shouts, "Get back here!"
Meanwhile, in the central computer room….
"Okay, I found the file that holds the data Team Aqua is looking for. Now to transfer it onto this floppy," Millie says, as she inserts the floppy into the disk drive.
"So this giant mainframe contains data on Groudon and Kyogre?" Mew calmly questions.
"That's right. And data on the weather events that occurred whenever they clashed over the past," Millie says, "Both of them are legend to be Mythical Pokemon. Croudon lifted the ground and expanded the land, while Kyogre covered the land with torrential rain and tidal waves, expanding the sea. Legend has it, the two are considered the god of land and the god of the sea."
"It's still amazing no matter how many times I hear it," Max says.
"And it just adds more detail to why both Team Aqua and Magma are after those Pokemon.
Soon, the transfer was finished.
"There! The transfer is complete. Now to delete the original data from the hard drive," Millie says.
"Wait, why would you want to do that?" Mew asks.
"To be sure Team Aqua doesn't get the data, and the data will be safe with us," Millie says, and does so.
Mew narrows her eyes as she has an odd feeling about Millie.
A bit later, Tomo peeks out the door to see if there were Aqua Grunts hanging around, but there weren't.
"All clear. I don't see anyone out here," Tomo says.
However, as they begin to sneak down the hall, they end up running into Brock from one direction, and Zinnia from the others.
"Brock?!" Jen says.
"Zinnia?!" Max adds, confused.
"Glad you both are okay," Mew says.
"Wait, if Castform is there, then who do we have?" Zinnia asks.
"One Castform is actually my Ditto. And the other is Mew," Millie says.
Soon, both Castform Brock and Zinnia have changed to Ditto.
"Should have known," Zinnia asks.
"But how do you know Ashely's real name is Mew?" Brock asks.
"I kind of figured it out, especially how she talks to her Pokemon," Millie says.
"I see," Mew says, growing more suspicious of Millie.
"Well, it looks like that plan backfired," Mew says.
Just then, both Aqua Grunts reach them.
One of them shouts, "Hey! There they are!"
They all look and see the two Aqua Grunts that were chasing Brock and Zinnia.
The Aqua Grunt #2 says, "Give us that Castform, right now!"
Brock then calls out, "Hoppip, use Bullet Seed!"
Then Hoppip uses Bullet Seed and hits the two Aqua Grunts.
Mew then calls out, "Torkoal, use Smokescreen!"
Torkoal comes out of the Pokeball and blows smoke, blinding the Aqua Grunts.
"Nice job, Torkoal," Mew says.
"I think now's our chance to get out of here, and quickly," Mille says.
Everyone soon exits the building before they spot Bart and the scientists, along with the rest of Team Aqua.
"Alright, let Bart and the other scientists go, right now!" Mew says.
"They're not going anywhere until you hand us that access card first. Looks like you don't have a choice, do you?" Shelly says.
"No deal!" Mew says.
"What a shame. Guess you don't care what happens to them, do you?"
Shelly says.
But Bart says, "Millie, don't worry about us! We'll be okay!"
Shelly then says, "Oh, I wouldn't be too sure of that if I were you."
Right on cue, a grunt reactivates the weather machine and generates another storm.
"Whoa, look at that," Jessie says.
"Those are some dark storm clouds," James says.
"So where's, da silva lining?" Meowth asks.
The storm sends down a bolt of lightning that zaps Team Rocket.
"Not again!" Team Rocket cries out.
This time, an explosion occurs, sending Team Rocket blasting off.
Jessie cries out, "I thought you couldn't get struck by lightning twice!"
"I guess we're the lucky ones who did!" James says.
"Twice is nice but ain't it da thoid time dat's really da charm?!" Meowth says.
"Wobbuffet!" (Just shut it!) Wobbuffet says.
Team Rocket shouts, "Here's to leading a charmed life!"
"Wobbuffet!" (We're blasting off again!) Wobbuffet says.
"Sheehs, talk about bad luck for them," Zinnia says.
"Yeah," Mew says.
"Usually we're the ones who send Team Rocket packing," Jen says.
"You should believe me when I tell you that was just a demonstration. Nothing like what you're going to experience soon enough," Shelly says, "Maybe I should freeze you all in place with a blizzard, or perhaps a few hundred tornadoes should change your mind."
But Bart says, "Don't even pay attention to those phony threats, Millie! No matter what happens, hold on to that access card!"
Mew and Millie contemplate what to do.
"Time's up. So, what have you decided? I can't wait to hear it," Shelly says.
"Millie, you've got to get out of here!" Bart calls out.
But then, Millie says, "Bart, I can't just leave."
Soon, Shelly says, "I'm assuming that you've decided to not give me the access card. Now you'll have to live with your decision," Then turns to the Grunt, "Lieutenant?"
Lieutenant says, "Yes, ma'am."
But Millie says, "No, wait. You can have this blasted card."
The scientists, and the rest of the gang are shocked to hear it.
"No, you can't give it to her!" Max says.
"I can't just abandon Bart and the others, Max,"
"But, Millie…" Bart says.
Millie pulls out the card from her coat and tosses it to Shelly.
Shelly catches it, "Excellent, a very sensible choice on your part," and hands it to her lieutenant.
Bart drops to his knees, devastated, "Millie, I can't believe you sacrificed our research just to save our lives."
However, the grunt finds the data is long gone.
Lieutenant says, "Commander, the data on Groudon and Kyogre and the weather patterns they created aren't on the mainframe!"
"What?! How can that be?!" Shelly exclaims, shocked.
I found the folder, but there's nothing in it!" Lieutenant says.
Shelly becomes irked and demands, "Do you think this is just some game?!"
"That's right," Mew says, and holds out the floppy disk, "We decided to have an empty one prepared just in case.
"I agree. Now then, how about you hand the disk over," Milly says, and holds her hand out to her.
However, Mew holds it protectively and asks, "Actually, I think it should be staying with me. And about how you tell me who you really are."
Everyone becomes confused.
"What do you mean, Mew?" May asks.
"Something has been off about Millie since we met her," Mew says, "How Brock hasn't been going head over heels for her since we got here, and then she seems to have a lot of knowledge about the Groudon and Kyogre. And also on how you're so calm since Team Aqua came along, almost like you were expecting it at some point. And since the way Team Aqua acted towards Millie, a thought came to me," she then turns to face Millie, "I start to wonder if you're really part of Team Magma."
Millie then smiles, "Well then, never thought I would see the day that someone was able to see through my disguise," she then runs to Mew as she grabs the floppy disk and pushes Mew down.
"Millie?!" Brock exclaims.
"MEW!" Tomo and Molly cry out.
The group rushes and helps Mew up, her Pokemon rushes in concern.
Millie suddenly hops all the way up to the top of the weather satellite.
"What on Earth are you doing, Millie?!" Bart asks, shocked.
"Change of plans, I've decided to keep the data on those ancient pokemon myself," Millie says.
"You're not making any sense, Millie! Come down from there before you get hurt or worse!" Bart calls out.
But then Mew says, "Bart, that's not, Millie! She's an imposter!"
"Well, guess this disguise worked better than I thought. But you know what they say, looks can be deceiving," Millie says, "And it's actually a surprise to finally meet you, Mew. And a pleasure to be seeing you again, Zinnia."
And with that, 'Millie' removes her disguise to reveal her true identity. Millie is actually a man with purple hair with an orange streak, purple eyebrows, hazel eyes, and a green mark under his right eye. And judging by the outfit, it's clear that he's part of Team Magma.
Seeing him, Shelly says, "I should've known a certain someone would be here!"
Zinnia gasps in shock, "Brodie?!"
"You know him, Zinnia?!" Brock asks, shocked.
"Yes. This is Brodie, a top ranked spy of Team Magma who is known for having a thousand faces, so he's a master of disguise. I had to leave because Brodie was close to figuring out who I am. And I've been able to see through his disguise even now," Zinnia says.
"Which means, this Brodie was pretending to be Millie all along," May says.
"And he fooled all of us," Molly says.
"Except for Brock and Mew," Tomo says.
"Which explains why Brock didn't go gaga over her," Max adds.
Brodie says, "I've got to admit, Shelly, I really owe you one. You and Team Aqua made my job much easier this time around. Thanks a bunch, but now it's time for me to go."
"Not so fast!" Shelly says, and calls out, "Quick, grab that floppy disk from him, Crawdaunt!"
Both Crawdaunt charge
Brodie then says, "Time to fight Crawdaunt with Crawdaunt, Ditto. Transform and go get 'em."
Ditto confirms, leaps into battle and transforms into a Crawdaunt.
Shelly calls out, "Bubble Beam!"
Both Crawdaunt open fire.
Brodie calls out, "Counter with your own Bubble Beam!"
Ditto fires the attack and when both collide, an explosion occurs.
"Ditto transform into Castform!" Mew calls out.
Soon, Shiny Ditto turns into Shiny Castform, and Mew's Castform joins in.
"Quick, get the disk from Brodie!" Mew calls out.
"Hoppip, help out too!" Brock says.
Hoppip flies ahead.
May calls out, "Combusken, go get that disk back!"
Combusken comes out as he and the two Castforms charge to Brodie.
Mew calls out, "Alright, use Weather Ball!"
Both Ditto and Castform use the attack to strike at Brodie's Ditto
Brodie calls out, "Crab Hammer!"
Ditto uses the attack and strikes both Weather Balls out of the way.
Brock calls out, "Use Bullet Seed!"
Hoppip fires and mananges to hit Ditto.
Then May calls out, "Sky Uppercut!"
"Crab Hammer!" Brodie calls out.
And with that, Ditto strikes at all four of them, knocking them to the ground.
"Castform! Ditto!" Mew calls out.
"Combusken!" May calls out.
"Hoppip!" Brock calls out.
Hoppip then struggles to get up and soon, Hoppip lets out a yell and begins to glow. Everyone is surprised to see it.
"Look at that!" Zinnia says.
"Hoppip is starting to evolve!" Brock says.
Soon, Hoppip evolves and changes shape and the leaves on the top change to a flower. Soon, Hoppip evolves into Skiploom.
"Hoppip evolved into Skiploom," Brock says.
Then Skiploom jumps and flies and fires an attack that is different from Bullet Seed, and mananges to strike Ditto.
"That's Seed bomb!" Max says.
"Skiploom must have learned a new move," Mew says.
"Alright Skiploom," Brock says.
Brodie calls out, "Crab Hammer!"
Ditto uses the attack, and Skiploom dodges, but ends up getting hit after the third time and falls. Brock is able to catch her just in time.
Ditto hops back Brodie, transforming back to normal, and lands on Brodie's shoulder.
"Ditto, excellent job," Brodie says.
Then says to everyone on the ground, "Seems that my work here is done!" and activates a jetpack he strapped on and flies off, laughing as he zooms off into the distance
"I hope Team Magma appreciates that I let them win this round. but I look forward to beating them next time we meet," Shelly says. Then informs her group, "Alright, all Aqua members, pull out now!" Shelly says.
Soon, Shelly and her grunts make their escape.
Later, Bart was still devastated by the betrayal, "I can't believe I thought I was working with a great intern, and a great friend, too."
But soon, a young lady approaches.
She calls out, "Excuse me, I'm looking for the Weather Institute. My name is Millie and I'm here to start my new job."
Everyone looks up in shock to see Nillie, wearing a blue button up shirt with a white collar and a blue skirt, she is also wearing a white bag and a brown bag. What's more, she actually has a Castform, but a Shiny Version. So it's purple with yellow rims around its eyes.
"Millie?" Bart says, confused.
"Hold on a minute," Mew says. Then turns to Brock, "Hey Brock, think you can investigate for us."
But Brock already rushes in front of Millie, and takes her hand, "Millie, in just one instant, you changed my forecast from cloudy, grey and lonely to sunny, bright and happy! And now, I'm filled with love for you."
Max then rushes over, "Storm cloud approaching," And drags him away by his vest.
"Well, Brock is back to normal, so she's the real Millie," Max says.
Zinnia then suspects, "Brodie must have known that the real Millie was coming to the institute, and use that information to infiltrate the institute."
"Make sense to me," Mew says.
Bart then walks over and says, "Welcome to the institute, Millie."
"Thank you, nice to finally be here," Millie says, "I had to push myself hard for a degree in meteorology, but I'm glad I finally made it. Now, whatever you want done, I'm on it."
"I hope you're good with computers," Bart says.
Everyone heads inside
Millie says, "Now, let me see, you want me to transfer some data on two ancient Pokémon and the weather conditions that occurred when they clashed centuries ago in the main computer."
"Yes, but I'm afraid you might get a little overwhelmed," Bart says and opens a door, "Well, here we are."
What they see is a pretty crowded and cluttered office space.
"She's got to go through ALL THAT?!" Mew asks, shocked.
"There's so much stuff in there," May says.
Then Bart asks, "Is it too much?"
"Not at all, I really love doing this sort of work," Millie says.
Surprised, Bart says, "Wow, do you mean it?"
"It's my pleasure," Millie says, and heads inside.
"Alright, then. I'm more than happy to give you some help," Bart says, and heads in.
The two Castform follow their trainers inside to help their trainers.
"I have a really good feeling about those two," May says.
"Looks like there's going to be sunny days for Bart and Millie," Max says.
"But this poor man needs an umbrella," Brock says, devastated
Zinnia shrugs, "Oh, good grief."
"Come on Brock, I sensed sunny skies for you too, especially since your Hoppip evolved," May says.
Brock smiles and says, "That's true."
"And all of us, too," Max says.
"You got that right. Fortree City isn't far from here. Time for me to battle for that Sixth badge," Mew says.
Later that evening…
Now that the real Millie is happily working as the newest employee at the Hoenn Weather Institute, Mew and her friends are once again on their way to the Fortree City gym, along with Brock's newly evolved, Skiploom. So it appears that everyone is finally enjoying happy times, and sunny skies.
It shows Millie and Bart happily working.
Then Mew and her friends continue on their adventure to Fortree City.
However, not everyone has sunny skies. Team Rocket has caught themselves in a snowy landscape.
"Careful, this snow is a bit deep," James says.
Jessie shivers, "I'm so c-cold. If this is Mother Nature's doing, she's not being very motherly."
"And if it's Old Man Winter, he's not very fatherly," James says.
Then Meowth screams, "Well, lemme tell youse guys what's going on, WE'RE GONNA FREEZE BEFORE WE REACH FORTREE CITY!"
