Episode 89: Who's Flying Now?
Closer than ever before, Mew and her friends are climbing up the stairs towards the Fortree City Gym.
"Awesome. Are you ready for our sixth badge, guys?" Mew asks.
"Pi Pikachu." (I sure am, bud.) Pikachu says.
Eevee!" (I'm sure, ready!)
"Yeah, that's nice, but I hope you're not worn out by the time we get there," May says.
"Yeah. My feet are getting tired," Jen says.
"Is this even the way to the gym?" Max asks.
"Should be according to the map," Mew says, looking at the Pokenav.
May looks back to say, "There's Fortree City."
Everyone turns around to see that Fortree City is actually hidden within the trees.
"You're right," Zinnia says.
"We must have climbed right past it," Brock says.
"Cool," Tomo stays.
"Awesome," Mew says.
"Look at all the treehouses!" Max says.
"It's an old tradition, but lots of the people in Fortree City still live in it," Brock says.
"Wow, living in a tree would be pretty cool," Max says.
"Yeah!" Tomo says.
"Well, we can check it out after the gym battle. Let's go," Mew says and continues climbing.
Pikachu and Eevee follow from behind.
Tomo, Meloetta, Skwovet, and Molly follow after in excitement.
"Hey guys! Wait up!" Max says.
"Well, Mew is excited for this battle," Brock says.
May sighs, "Where's the elevator?"
Sometime later, they soon arrive at the gym's entrance and are greeted by statues of a Charizard and a Skarmory.
"Well, here we are. The entrance to the gym," Mew says.
"Yeah. It wasn't so bad," Max says.
"Tell that to my legs," May says.
Mew then calls out, "Hello in there! I'm here to request a gym battle!
Right then and there, someone comes out, "Welcome to the Fortree Gym."
Mew walks over, "Thanks. I'd like to see the gym leader, please. My name's Ashley from Pallet Town.
"Hello, Ashley. I'm Zachary, the assistant. The gym leader's in town today and I'm afraid she's pretty busy at the moment," The assistant, Zachary says.
"What's she doing there?" Jen asks.
"She went to the village square to help out. The Feather Carnival is here!" Zachary says.
"What's the Feather Carnival?" Max asks.
"It's a big festival we have once a year here in Fortree City, where we celebrate the sky," Zachary says.
"Awesome!" Tomo says.
"A whole festival celebrating the sky?" Brock says.
"That sounds like it'd be pretty fun," May says.
"I agree, "Jen says.
"Yeah," Molly says.
"I think it sounds cool," Zinnia says.
"Well, maybe we can all go there. And maybe we can find the gym leader along the way," Mew says.
May sighs, "We just got up here, and now we have to go all the way back down?"
"And not only that... Once we find the gym leader, we'll have to climb back up here again," Brock says.
"Maybe, it wouldn't hurt to have some fun at the festival," Zinnia says.
"Well, I hope they've got food here!" Max says with a giggle.
"Well then, all in favor of having some fun at the festival say 'I'?" Mew asks.
Of course, the vote is unanimous as everyone raises their hands, paws, and legs as they shout, "I!"
"The 'I's have it," Mew says.
Moments later, the gang arrives at the festival. The festival has food and games, and even a few rides. And it's proven to be a fun festival, especially seeing the crowd of people.
"All right, there's a ton of food!" Max says.
"I like some cotton candy," Tomo says.
"I like some lemonade," Jen adds.
"And jewelry shops and games and stuff," May says.
"Yeah. They even sell Pokemon accessories, stones, and other stuff," Mew says.
"And lots of cute girls, thank you," Brock says.
Mew sudden;y grabs Brock's ear, making him yelp, "Ow!"
"Sheesh Brock, can you not do it right now. We're here to have some fun and find the gym leader, got it?" Mew says
"I got it, I got it! Let go of my ear," Brock screams.
Max giggles with a smile, but soon spots something in the sky, "Huh? Look at that! Something's flying toward us."
Everyone looks up and sees a Skarmory carrying a couple passengers, one of whom was a child.
The boy says, "Alright! Awesome! Hey, look! I can even see my house from up here!"
"Wow. Is that a Skarmory?" May asks.
"It is. But I've never seen one that big," Mew says.
"No kidding, it's practically twice its size," Zinnia says.
"And I've never seen a girl that cute riding on one before," Brock says.
On the Skarmory, the boy cheers, "Yay!" and laughs.
Then the woman says, "OK. Coming in for a landing. Hold on tight, Robby."
Robby nods as the Skarmory flies overhead.
"Wow! They're gonna land right in the square!" Max says.
"Should we check it out?" Mew asks.
Everyone agrees, "Mm-hmm!" Even the Pokemon agree.
Then they head off to the town square.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket has arrived at the festival as well.
Jessie is eating a hamburger and cotton candy and says in thought, "I don't know what the twerps are doing at a carnival, but we might as well enjoy it."
Eating a corndog and holding a soda, Meowth says in thought, "Nuttin' could be better! Food, games, and more food!"
Both Jessie and Meowth happily say, "Ah, this is the life!"
However, James lets out a sigh.
And Jessie notices it, "Some people are just not getting with the program."
"Yeah, yer bummin' me out," Meowth adds, also taking notice.
"The carnival. That's it. This is where it all went horribly wrong," James says.
Curious, Jessie asks, "What, did you throw up on the roller coaster?
"I was just a small boy when it happened," James says, and flashing back to his childhood, "I was on my way home from a violin recital, when we drove past a traveling carnival in town. I suppose fate brought us together."
Jessie says, "Oh, spare us! Is this some first-crush thing? I'd rather jump off a cliff than listen to someone moaning about their pathetic love life.
"Dat goes double here!" Meowth says.
James says, "Just one look, and I knew right away we were meant to be. I knew I was looking at a very rare Pokémon, one almost never encountered in the wild, a Chimecho. I'll never forget that long tail flowing in the wind, or its soft eyes, and that beautiful voice that reached right into my heart.
The Chimecho says, "Chime!" (Hi!)
Chimecho is a small, round Pokémon with a mainly bluish-white body shaped like a fūrin wind chime. It has beady, yellow eyes and three stubby limbs. Its body has a horizontal amaranth-colored pattern. Underneath its body extends a long, tag-like tail that has amaranth patterning at the bottom. A yellow, globular growth, referred to as a suction cup or a sucker, is connected to the top of its body.
"I fell in love with Chimecho at first sight. But no matter how I pleaded, my parents wouldn't even consider letting me have it," James says.
As James continues, he remembers sneaking out of his family mansion with an Igglybuff coin bank in hand.
James continues, "I couldn't think about anything else! I had to see it again. I had to have it! I ran through the night back to that place. By the time I got there, the carnival was gone. Townspeople were cleaning up, but the others had left town. I've never seen another Chimecho since that day."
Flashback ends.
James continues with teary eyes, "Now, I'm just a hollow shell of a person, destined never to have true happiness!" And starts to cry, "Come back, Chimecho!" But soon, realizes his teammates had left, "Hey, guys?"
Meanwhile, Mew and the others arrive in the town square to check out the Skarmory. They also see the woman from before, who must be the Skarmory's trainer. She's medium height and slender. She has long, lavender hair tied in a thin ponytail with a white band, and violet eyes. Her hair sticks up at the side in two tufts, representing feathers. Winona is usually seen in her collared flight suit, with a gray helmet, and a pair of gray shoes.
The woman turns to the kids, "Alright, then. Who's gonna be my next copilot?"
A young girl raises her hand, "Me, Winona! I'm next! I'm next!
"Okay, let's get you aboard, then," The trainer, Winona says.
She picks up the little girl and puts her on Skarmory's back.
Then a small boy says, "I wanna go next, Winona, but I want to go by myself."
"My, aren't you the brave one?" Winona says.
Brock soon butts in, and goes all romeo on her, as he takes her hand, "Aren't you the beautiful one? With a beautiful name to match," The woman is baffled, "I'm Brock, perhaps you've heard of me, a very promising Pokémon Breeder. And, I must say, that's quite a Skarmory you have there. You looked so great riding it."
"Thanks, I think," Winona says, sweating drops.
And Brock says, "Watching you soar through the sky, my mind had only one thought, how being apart from you would only bring me pain and suffering…"
As Brock finishes his sentence, Max pulls him away by the ear.
"How about I show you pain and suffering instead?" Max says, taking Brock away.
Brock cries out, "Not the ear."
Everyone just chuckles sheepishly.
"Well, he was right about one thing, your Skarmory was an impressive flyer up there," May says.
"Yeah. You were awesome," Zinnia says.
Soon, the kids compliment her, "Yeah, Winona flies better than anybody." "And not just with a Skarmory, you know. She's a genius with all Flying Pokemon." "Plus, she's the Fortree Gym Leader, so what do you expect?"
"Really? She's the gym leader?" Mew asks.
"Thanks for the compliments, kids, but you might be going a bit too far," Winona
Mew then turns to Winona, "Winona, my name is Ashley from Pallet Town. I've come here to ask to challenge the Fortree Gym. I plan to earn my sixth badge, so I hope you'll accept my challenge."
Winona looks at Mew and thinks. She then says, "Alright, I'll accept your challenge."
"Really? Thank you," Mew says.
Then Winona says, "But as you can all see, I'm right in the middle of something. What say we have our battles after the festival?"
"Yeah," Mew says.
"Great. Then I'll see you all later," Winona says, and walks away and climbs aboard her Skarmory, "Now, let's go, Skarmory! Take flight!"
Skarmory complies and takes off into the wild blue yonder.
"That Winona's something else," Brock says, blushing.
"A gym leader and practically a pilot," Zinnia says.
"I wouldn't mind going for a ride on that Skarmory," Max says.
"Me too!" Molly says.
"I was thinking the same thing," May says.
"I think it's a good idea," Mew says, "Since my battle will be later, maybe we can all have some fun."
"Maybe we can let our Pokemon have some fun," Molly.
"Great idea," May says.
"Why not? Everyone should have some fun once in a while," Brock says.
May calls out, "Combusken, Beautifly, Skitty, Bulbasaur, Aaron, Swablu!
Mew calls out, "Swellow, Grovyle, Corphish, Torkoal, Azumarill, Sylveon, Plusle, Minin!
Brock calls out, "Forretress, Lombre, Mudkip, Rattata, Skiploom, Rockruff, Pansage!
Max calls out, "Zigzagoon, Shroomish, Poochyena, Surskit, Cottonee!
Tomo calls out, "Leaf, Flint, Dew, Willow, Zorua, Wooper, Bidoof!"
Jen calls out, "Zorua, Growlithe, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Snover!
Molly calls out, "Teddiursa, Yamper, Espeon, Spinda!"
Then Zinnia calls out, "Aster, Leafeon!"
Soon, all the Pokemon are let out and are ready for some fun. They go on rides, play some games, and do all kinds of fun.
Meanwhile, with Team Rocket….
Jessie is eating a candy bar and double scoop ice cream cone.
Jessie says, "I hate to say it, but James' whining was getting on my last nerve."
Meowth is eating a quesadilla and a half-eaten ice pop as he says, "Forget about him, just means more food for us."
"Is that Chimecho he was whining about really that rare a Pokémon?" Jessie asks,
"It ain't legendary, but you won't see one hanging around here, dat's for sure," Meowth sas.
But as the two talk, a Chimecho floats by
"So it's probably safe to assume he'll not be seeing another one for a long time unless he spots one in the wild. Right?" Jessie says.
"Yeah, about a hundred to one chance," Meowth says.
The Chimecho continues to float along.
Meanwhile, Max was going for a flight aboard Winona's Skarmory.
"How do you like it, Max? Is flying on a Pokémon like you thought it would be?" Winona asks.
Max giggles, "It's even cooler than I imagined. I didn't know that the sky was so big from way up high, or that the wind could feel so soft while flying."
Meanwhile, the smaller Pokémon were riding one of the rides.
A bit later, May had a turn to fly on Skarmory.
"From this high, everything looks like a little model down there," May says.
She waves and calls out, "Hi, guys! You all look so tiny from up here!"
"Feel like we should go a little faster? That way, it'll seem like you're really flying, May," Winona asks.
May nods, "Yeah, let's go for it!"
"Okay, Skarmory, speed it up!" Winona says.
Skarmory starts flying faster.
"Wow, Winona, this is awesome," May says.
"Hang on, May, time to pick up the pace," Winona says.
They soar on as everyone else watches from the ground.
"I'm the queen of the sky!" May calls out.
"Looks like May is getting a deluxe ride on Skarmory," Zinnia says.
"I'll say," Brock says, "Winona isn't afraid to make her Skarmory hit top speed. And even at this speed she has perfect control. This is a very famous spot. The people of Fortree City have always had great respect for the sky ever since olden times. That's why they still live in treehouses with their Flying Pokémon and hold the Feather Carnival every year to celebrate. For Winona to be called the 'Genius of the Sky', she must be pretty amazing.
"Yeah. She's going to be a tough trainer to beat," Zinnia says.
"Yeah. But I'm not worried. You have to challenge the best to be the best," Mew says, "I wonder if she'll be using Skarmory in her battle."
Elsewhere, on the haunted flight ride, we see Pikachu and Eevee, Skitty, Swellow, along with Poochyena, Meloetta, and Shroomish
What the three passengers saw was light blue flames moving about in front of them before a Gengar zoomed past them, giving them a fright. Then a Duskull flew past. Then a Dusclops popped out and surprised them all.
Sweat drops, Pikachu says, "Pika pika," (It wasn't that scary.)
"Swel Low." (Well, I beg to differ.) Swellow replies
"Nya! Nya!" ("No, it was fun!") Skitty says, excited.
Meanwhile, outside, James was searching for his teammates.
"That wasn't nice. We're supposed to be a team. I can't believe Jessie and Meowth ditched me, " James says.
Soon, James heard a ringing sound before looking to see some Chimecho to his right.
"That, can't be," James says, eyes wide and his cheeks blushing.
The vendor calls out, "Step right up, get your Chimecho while I still have them! A Chimecho is a very rare and hard-to-find Pokémon indeed, with a voice that's both beautiful and powerful. Let Chimecho bring you peace and happiness, for a good price. And it looks like you have your eye on one, sonny."
James rushes over, "Yes! I'll take one, please," and get a closer look at one of the Chimecho, "Wait a minute. There's something very familiar about all this."
"No money? Is that the problem?" The vendor asks.
"It's not that. Maybe it's because this Chimecho seems a bit bigger than the one I saw when I was a child." James says.
"Of closure, mine grow large because I feed them so well," The vendor says.
"Ah, that makes sense," James says.
"Here you go," The vendor says and hands a 'Chimecho' to James.
"It's all mine," James says, happily.
"You take care of it, sonny. You'll be quite happy," The vendor says.
James looks up and sees it's the Magikarp salesman. At the same time, Mew along with Tomo and Molly have been looking around to have snacks and do some shopping.
They soon hear James' voice, "You're the old crook who recently sold me that fake Feebas!
The Magikarp salesman gets on his knees, "It's true. That was me," Making James sweat up.
The salesman lifts his head up, "But I'm not a crook anymore, I swear." Then gets in front of James, "I turned over a new leaf. I saw the error of my ways," And gets teary, "I'm a changed man now, and the up and up. I'm selling healing Chimecho to help people. I've straightened up and flyin' up. Please, you've got to believe me.
"I don't believe you, not even a little, "James says.
The Salesman continues, "But the proof is in your hands. Just look, this isn't some fake Chimecho. You're getting the real deal this time."
"Well, I must admit, it looks real," James says.
"I guarantee," The Salesman says, "Look closer. I see it bringing a smile to your face, just gazing into those loving eyes. It said that the gentle and healing sound of a Chimecho can soothe anyone's soul?"
"Yes, that's what I read and heard about," James says.
The Salesman says, "That's not all, sonny boy. Just take a lot at Chimecho's tail swings and sways in the wind, like a weeping willow in the summer breeze. In really hot weather, it will act like a fan to help you cool off. And when it's cold outside, your Chimecho can wrap itself around your neck like a scarf to keep you warm.
"I guess, it might be both fashionable and functional," James says, smiling.
"And one more thing. It's not widely known, but it's a true fact, Chimecho can choose winning lottery tickets," The salesman says.
"Well that's interesting," James says.
"Yeah. Too interesting to be true in my opinion." Mew's voice speaks out.
The salesman and man James jump and turn to see Mew and the kids.
"It's the twerps!" James says, shocked.
The salesman grows wary, "Oh uh, hello miss, what can I do for you?"
Mew walks over, "Well I want to know why you're selling fake Chimechos."
"Fake?" James questions.
Mew turns to James, "James, you mind if I see it?"
"Uh okay," James says, and hands the 'Chimecho,' to Mew.
Mew observes the 'Chimecho'
"Chimecho, can you speak?" Mew asks.
The 'Chimecho' speaks, but it doesn't sound like Chimecho's voice. Mew narrows her eyes further.
"What do you guys think?" Mew asks.
"It sounds like a bell," Molly says.
"Yep," Tomo says.
Mew looks at the 'Chimecho' on different sides and soon notices something from the back as the 'Chimecho' rings as well.
"What's this?" Mew asks.
She soon looks at the back of the Chimecho, and what she sees is tape. Soon, she removes the tape to reveal leaves on the top of his head. James, Tomo, and Molly are shocked while the salesman flinches in response. She then removes the tape from the side to reveal its ears. She then removes the top and the bottom. Turns out the bottom was a real fabric scarf with a bell inside. She then wipes the makeup off to reveal a Hoppip.
"I knew it," Mew says.
James angrily turns to the salesman, "You crook, you were trying to sell me a fake Chimecho which is actually a Hoppip."
"Well uh, you see," The salesman says nervously.
Mew then calls out, "Excuse me, Officer Jenny! There's a man here who is trying to scam people with fake Chimecho!"
"And this is my cue to leave," James says and runs off.
Moments later, Officer Jenny and some of the officers arrest him for selling fake Chimecho. Well, it's also bad to be selling Pokemon to begin with, especially using them to scam people.
"Well, looks like you took care of that guy," Tomo says.
"Yeah, but I hope this will teach him a lesson about scamming people and selling Pokemon," Mew says.
"Hope so," Molly says.
Meanwhile, James returns to the others, feeling a bit dejected about almost being scammed, again. He soon meets up with Jessie and Meowth.
"So what's eating you now?" Jessie asks.
"I ended up almost getting tricked by that Feebas salesman who tried to sell me a fake Chimecho," James says.
"Really?" Meowth asks, interested.
James sighs, "Yeah, but I didn't expect to be saved by the twerpette who exposed him, and got him arrested."
"Well, I guess it's a plus," Jessie replies.
"Yeah. Sometimes having her sticking her nose into other people's business come in handy," Meowth says.
"Yeah, but I really wish I could get a Chimecho. My first love," James says.
Suddenly, a real Chimecho floats by.
Meowth cries out in shock, "Chimecho! And dat's no phony, it's da real deal!"
Jessie and James are in shock before the Chimecho right before their eyes. Chimecho turns around and relaxes the three with its voice. Team Rocket sighs in response and feels at ease.
"Yes, that's it. That's the sound of a real Chimecho," Jamaes says.
Then Jessie asks, "But what's it doing floating around by itself?"
"Maybe it just likes hanging out at carnivals?" Meowth suggests.
The Chimecho sings again, relaxing them.
"That voice. So soothing," Team Rocket says.
James approaches Chimecho and asks, "Say, if you're not going anywhere, maybe you'd like to come along with me.
The Chimecho wraps its tail around James' eyes, happily accepting the officer.
James is very happy, "Looks like I've got a Chimecho!"
Chimecho agrees.
"Well, that was a pretty easy catch," Jessie says.
"I guess sometimes, all you got to do is ask," Meowth says.
"At least it was free," Jessie says. But then says, "And now, with a new healing Pokémon on our side, let's get back to our original plan.
Meanwhile, later today, Mew and the others join Winona as they head up to the Fortree gym.
"Well, here we are. The famous Fortree City battlefield," Zachery says.
Upon arriving, everyone is amazed to see the gym is wide in the open.
"A perfect gym for Flying Pokemon," Brock says.
"I agree. Look at the wide open space," Mew says.
"It's awesome!" Max says.
"We can battle as much as we want, Ashley," Winona says.
Suddenly, they all hear a tremendous explosion and look back to see the smoke cloud.
"What happened?" May asks.
"Was that an explosion?" Zinnia asks.
"It is, and it seems to be happening at the carnival arena," Winona says. Then calls out, "Alright, Skarmory, let's go!"
Skarmory comes out and Winona hops on its back
"To the town square, full speed ahead!" Winona says.
Skarmory zooms off.
"We better go too," Mew says.
"Right!" Everyone agrees.
Everyone agrees and heads down the steps.
At the carnival, its revealed that Team Rocket caused the explosion with a mech suit
"That's it. Keep blasting, Meowth!" Meowth says.
Meowth does so with a wicked laugh, firing electricity at the flying Pokémon present at the carnival before grabbing and putting them in a containment box.
"Not bad, da double sparky shock em is makin' it's debut," Meowth says.
"One blast from them and any flying Pokémon in our path drop like flies!" Jessie says.
Suddenly, Winona calls out, "Go, Skarmory, hit em with Steel Wing!"
Skarmory charges in and knocks the mech on its butt
Jessie angrily demands, "Alright, who did that?!"
"I did," Winona says, "I'm Winona, the leader of the Fortree City gym. Identify yourselves at once!"
And with that, Team Rocket performs the motto.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble, we're Team Rocket!
James:
Make it double because we have Kanto in our pocket!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie!
James:
And James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now, or prepare for a shocking fight!
Meowth:
Meowth! Dat's right!

Wobbuffet! (End of scene!)
Chimecho:
Chime Chime Chime
Meanwhile, Pikachu, Eevee, and Swellow fly overhead with Salamence, Skiploom, and Aerodactyl.
"It's Team Rocket again!" Tomo says.
"And they got a new Pokemon too," May says.
"It's a Chimecho," Max says.
"Looks like James got himself a real one," Mew says and brings out her Pokedex,
Dextette says, "Chimecho, the Wind Chime Pokémon. A Psychic Type. Chimecho has a voice that reverberates deep within is body. When angry, the sound waves can be powerful enough to blow opponents away."
"It's cute, but it sounds pretty strong, too," May says.
Mew says, "Team Rocket, return all the other Pokemon you took!"
"Dream on, twerps!" Jessie says.
"If you want them so bad, then come and get them!" James says.
"Fine, then!" Mew says, "Eevee, Pikachu, Thunderbolt, now!"
Both leap off of Swellow's back and launch the attack which nails Team Rocket, but they seem fine with it once the pain and electrical power subsides.
"That really hurt, but that's okay," Jessie says.
"Chimecho, use Heal Bell," James says.
Chimecho does so, healing their injuries instantly.
"You see? Just like dat, we're good as new," Meowth says.
"Oh no, Chimecho already learned Heal Bell," Mew says.
"Nice work, Chimecho, "James says and cuddles it, "You're the best."
Chimecho wraps its tail over James' eyes
"Hey! Not over my eyes!" James calls out.
"Meowth, it's our turn to attack now," Jessie says.
"Coming up!" Meowth says.
One of the cannons fires an electrical blast.
Mew, Brock, Molly, and Zinnia call out, "Dodge it!"
The four Pokemon dodge as fast as they can. Swellow ends up getting hit with the third attack.
Meowth laughs, "I bet you wish you had your own Chimecho? Dat one's gonna sting for a little bit."
"Skarmory, let's help them out," Winona says.
"Hang in there, Swellow!" Mew calls out, "It's just a machine and you're tough enough to beat any stupid machine!"
Swellow soon powers out of the shock.
"I can't believe it broke out of that! "Winona says, shocked.
"Okay, Swellow, Wing Attack!" Mew calls out.
Molly calls out, "Use Wing Attack too!"
With the two attacks they both manage to get a direct hit, which cause the mech to teeter a bit.
"Blast them!" Jessie angrily says.
"Hit it, Meowth!" James says.
Meowth does so and hits Swellow.
"Now, full powah!" Meowth says.
Meowth turns up the voltage.
Mew calls out, "Eevee! Pikachu! Swellow!
Finally, the voltage was too much for them and Jessie manages to grab all three of them.
"Gotcha!" Jessie says.
"A triple capture, Pikachu, Eevee, and Swellow!" James says.
"Get in da back, Jack!" Meowth says.
Team Rocket puts them in the containment pack. But then, Aerodactyl, Salamence, and Skiploom use their attacks to knock Team Rocket. Team Rocket screams and panic as they keep getting hit.
Winona calls out, "Skarmory, Drill Peck!
Skarmory dives in and uses the attack to cut the containment box off of the mech, freeing all the captured Pokémon.
"Oh, no!" Team Rocket cries out.
Winona then says, "Alright, Skarmory, take them out with one last Drill Peck!"
Skarmory zooms in
Jessie panics, "James, use Chimecho to help us!"
"But we can't heal until we get hit!" James says.
But Meowth says, "I got it! Chimecho can use its Double Edge Attack to get us out of dis pickle."
"Great idea!" Jessie says.
"But d I can't let Chimecho do that, especially against a Pokémon that's twice as strong!" James says.
Skarmory suddenly drills STRAIGHT THROUGH the mech, destroying it and sending Team Rocket flying.
": Now what was the reason for not using Double Edge?" Jessie asks.
"I can't let my cute little Chimecho use dangerous moves like that one! "James says.
"Where's all da love for Pokémon whenever I'm in danger?!" Meowth cries out.
"Woooobbu!" (There's none!) Wobbuffet says.
Chimecho uses its voice to sooth its new teammates
Team Rocket sighs, "So soothing. But we're still blasting off!"
"Wobbuffet," (Once again!) Wobbuffet says.
"Chime Chime Chime," (Goodbye all!) Chimecho says.
"Way to go, Winona!" Max says.
"You sure showed them!" Jen adds.
"That Drill Peck Attack put a hole in their plan," May says.
Skarmory lands.
"Well, it was a team effort," Winona says. She then gets off of Skarmory and looks to the sky, "The sun is starting to set. Sorry, Ashley. We can still have our battle tomorrow if you like. Skarmory and I are gonna be in the carnival's grand finale."
"Great. That works for me," Mew says.
The Pokemon agree.
Later that night, the grand finale of the Feather Carnival is underway as fireworks light up the sky and Winona and her Skarmory lead a large flock of flying Pokémon behind them.
"Look at all those flying Pokémon," Zinnia says.
"Yep, a large formation for a large fleet," Brock says.
"And Winona is leading them pretty easily," Tomo says.
"I guess it's true what's said about her, she really is the Genius of the Sky," Max says.
"Well, Mew, good luck battling her tomorrow," May says.
"Thanks, but I'll do as best as I can Doesn't matter which Pokémon she uses, cause when it's all over, I'll have that badge," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree.
