Pokemon Short 7: Pikachu and Eevee's Summer Festival

On a bright sunny summer day at the beach, there is a festival going on. On the beach, there are Pokemon sending stands of food, drinks, sweets, masks, balloons, and all kinds of festival stuff. All the Pokemon are getting ready for the Pokemon Summer Festival at the Beach Square.

Running along the beach are Pikachu, Eevee, Plusle, and Minun. They run down the beach in excitement and soon reach a large stage being set up.

"Pika?!" (Are you ready?!) Pikachu calls out.

The Pokemon cheer in excitement, ready for the event. And with that, the Pokemon Summer Festival has begun.

One of the vendors is Corphish.

He slams a paper fan on the table and calls out, "Corphish! Cor Cor Cor Corphish!" (Banana! Get your delicious ripe bananas!)

Soon, Snorlax walks over and says, "Snor Snorlax." (I'll take some bananas.) and then eat the bananas from Corphish's claw.

"Cor! Cor! Cor Corphish Crophish!" (Fantastic! Fantastic! What a glutton of you! I like you!" Corphish says in excitement.

But then, Snorlax begins eating all the bananas from the stand, sending Corphish into a tizzy.

Corphish gets on the stand and angrily says, "Cor Corphish! Cor Corphish!" (You've eaten too much! I can't do your business!)

But then Snorlax turns around, falls back, crushing the stand, and falls asleep. After all that eating, Snorlax decides to take a nap. And Crophish, unable to get out of Snorlax's way, slowly crawls out from under it.

"Corphish…" (Help…) Crophish weakly says.

Meanwhile, Pikachu and Eevee are helping the Pokemon set up the stage. Combusken, Bulbasaur, Swablu, 3 Whismurs, Teddiursa, Beauitfly, and Amaura are helping the lights. Torkoal, Swkovet, Fortress, Skitty, Aster the Whismur and Leafeon are helping with the stage. Because of a special concert taking place tonight, everyone is hard at work in building the stage.

Soon, Mew's Plusle and Minun run along the platform and sit down on the swing set on the stage.

Pikachu rushes over and calls out, "Pika Pika! Pikachu!" (No! You can't sit over there yet!)

Eevee also rushes over and calls out, "Vee Eevee Eevee!" (It's dangerous up there! You have to come down quickly!)

But Plusle says, "Plus Plu Plu," (No problem.)

"Min Min Minun Min," (It won't be any problem with this altitude.) Minun says.

However, Plusle and Minun fall down and land on top of Pikachu and Eevee.

"Min Minun," (That was funny!)

"Plu Plus," (Yes, it is.)

Both Pikachu and Eevee don't think the same.

"Pika Pika! Pikachu!" (Oh my goodness! You two are two playful.) Pikachu says.

"Eevee Eevee!" (Yeah, we have work to do!) Eevee adds.

Soon, Grovyle walks over and says, "Gro Grovyle," (Go away, you guys. It's dangerous.) as he pulls a large poster board.

Turns out, the poster is the Pokemon Idol, Azumarill. Azumarill is going to be the star performer at the Summer Festival.

Meanwhile, on a road, Mewoth along with Wobbuffet, and Happiny are in the car with Azumarill. Turns out, Mewoth and the others are Azumarill's transport. Of course, Wobbuffet is doing the driving.

Meowth looks at a book, "Tonight, you will go to the Summer Festival. Tomorrow, you have a TV station performance, cd recording, photo shooting…" then turns to Azumarill, "Though, your schedule is very packed, it never grumbles. No wonder you're so popular!"

"Azu Azumarill Azumarill," (Okay! Leave it to me! I will try my best!) Azumarill says.

"This Spirit is what I want," Meowth says.

But he blushes and says in thought, "I want Azumarill to earn me a lot of money, and then I can be the director," And gets caught in his fantasy, "After that, I'll conquer the whole musical industry!"

However, Meowth's fantasy has been cut short to hear and feel some strange rumbling sound. And soon, the car's hood opens, and smoke comes out.

"What?" Meowth replies, stunned.

Back at the festival, Pikachu, Eevee, Plusle and Minun are waiting for Azumarill. However, she hasn't arrived.

"Plu Plu Plu," (Azumarill is very slow.) Plusle says.

"Min Min Min,"(Is it possible that Azumarill got lost?) Minun asks.

"Pika Pika," (Maybe.) Pikachu says.

This is very concerning because the time for Azumarill to perform has passed, begins to wonder what could have happened.

Then Minun runs ahead as it says, "Min Min Min!" (Okay! I'll go fetch Azumarill!)

"Plu Plu," (Okay!) Plusle says and follows Minun.

"Pi Pika!" (Wait a minute!) Pikachu calls out.

Eevee turns to Pikachu, "Eevee Vee Vee Eev Eevee!" (Come on Pikachu, we better go follow me!)

With that, Pikachu and Eevee follow Plusle and Minun.

Down the road, Meowth and Wobbuffet are forced to push the car down the road while Happinny keeps Azumarill entertained.

Meowth says, "Why does the engine break down at this moment?"

"Wobbuffert," (Who knows.) Wobbuffet says.

Azumarill turns to Meowth, "Azu Azumarill?" (Do you need my help?)

"Hap Happiny," (Do you need help?" Happinny asks.

But Meowth assures, "No. no. How can I let the important Azumarill do such heavy work?"

Suddenly, they hear voices.

"Huh? What?" Meowth questions.

They soon look to see Pikachu, Eevee, Plusle and Minun running over.

"Hello everyone," Azumarill says, climbing out of the car.

The four Pokemon arrive.

Plusle and Minun express their excitement, "Great! It's really Azumarill!"

And Minun says, "Min Min Min!" (How beautiful you are!)

"Azumarill," (Thank you.) Azumarill says.

Then Meowth says, "How about you guys come here to help?"

"Eevee?" (What happened?) Eevee asks.

"Our car broke down and we need to get Azumarill to the festival," Meowth says.

Pikachu says, "Pikachu!" (Okay! We can help you get there!)

But suddenly, something appeared in the sky.

"Wobbuffet?" (What was that?) Wobbuffet asks.

"Hap Happiny?" (What is it?) Happiny asks.

Everyone soon looks up and sees a Skarmory is coming down right at them. Before anyone can react, the Skarmory swoops in, grabs Azumarill, and carries her away.

Meowth shouts, "Give me back Azumarill!"

Plusle and Minun try to perform Thunder Shock at Skarmory, but Skarmory dodges. Pikachu and Eevee both perform a double Thunderbolt and manage to zap at Skarmory's wing, but it sends Skarmory and Azumarill spinning a little. Plusle, Minun, and Happiny jump for joy, but Skarmory is spinning out of control.

Mewoth exclaims, "Oh my goodness! Azumarill is falling down!"

"Eevee Eevee!" (They're heading towards the festival!) Eevee says.

Back in the sky, Skarmory continues to spiral out of control with Amuzarill in tow.

Azumarill cries out, "Azumarill!" (Somebody help me!)

The Pokemon rush out of the way as Skarmroy crashes past the stands, breaking some of them, and still has Azumarill in town. The food for the festival is sent flying high in the air and comes falling down, and right into Snorlax's mouth.

Soon, Corphish comes over, "Cor Corphish!" (I won't let you go from here!)

But Skarmory rams into Corphish, and knocks it down. Bulbasaur and Meloetta rush to check on Corphish to see that he's knocked out. Soon, Grovyle, Combusken, and Amaura hurry over to stop Skarmory. They use their attacks, but Skarmory dodges, and carries Azumarill out to sea, and towards an island.

Seeing what happened, Pikachu, Eevee, and the others arrive to see where they're heading.

"Azumarill…" Meowth says with worry, "Why does this misery happen?"

"Min Min Min," (Let's show our power to rescue Azumarill!) Minun says.

But Plusle says, "Plu Plu Plu Plu," (But we don't even know where Azumarill has been taken to.)

Suddenly someone says, "Bel Bel…" (I know where…)"

Everyone turns to see an elderly Bellsprout with a cane walking towards them. He's the Pokemon Elder around this area.

Elder Bellsprout says, "Bel… Bellsprout… Bel… Bell… Bell Bellsprout," (I reckon… Azumarill… is possible… been taken to that place…" and points it's cane out to sea.

Everyone soon looks to see an island.

"Bell Bellsprout…" (The Island of Iron…) Elder Bellsprout says.

On the Island of Iron, Skarmoru swoops into a cave and drops Azumarill down

Azumarill stands up and calls out, "Rill! Rill! Azu Aumzarill!" (Wait! Wait! Do you want to do with me?)

Suddenly, she hears a growl and turns to see a large Pokemon, Aggron walking towards her. Azumarill stares, looking very petrified to find herself facing a big Pokemon.

Back at the beach, Elder Bellsprout explains, "Bell Bellsprout Bel Bel Bellsprout." (The horrible Aggron is living on the Island of Iron. No one can come out from there alive.

Pikachu asks, "Pika Pika Pikachu Pika Pika?" (Elder Pokemon, why did Skarmory kidnap Azumarill?)

"Bell.. Bellsprout," (This… I also don't know...) Elder Bellsprout answers, shaking his head.

Mewoth deflates, "No one can substitute Azumarill. No. Even a thousand people can't substitute Azumarill," And ruffles his fur, "In order to conquer the musical industry, I can't lose Azumarill."

Eevee looks confused.

Then Meowth shakes Pikachu rapidly, "Pikachu! This is all you and Eevee's fault! If you both could hit Skarmory at that time, then it wouldn't be like this."

Soon, Grovyle separates themes, "Gro Grovyle!" (Don't be like this!)

Crophish walks to the sea and says, "Cor Crophish Cor Corphish!" (A Summer Festival without Azumarill is like roasted meat rice without meat.) Then turns to everyone, "Cor Corphish Cor Cor Corphish!" (So, everyone, let's unite together and rescue Azumarill!)

Everyone cheers, agreeing to go to the Island of Iron and rescue Azumarill.

Pikachu says, "Pika Pikachu!" (Okay! Let's go to the Island of Iron!)

And with that, the gang have a boat and Corphish pulls the boat with the rescue team. They sail across the sea to their destination.

"We need to rescue Azumarill at all costs. Only this, I'm able to conquer the musical industry," Meowth says.

"Wobbuffet, "(That's right!) Wobbuffet says.

But Meowth begins to feel uneasy, "By the way… I feel scared."

"Happiny," (Me too.) Happiny says, feeling scared.

Soon enough, The Island of Iron is at sight.

"Pika! Pika Pika!" (We have arrived! The Island of Iron is just over there!) Pikachu says.

Plusle and Minun agree.

"Eevee Eevee." (We'll need to be careful. We don't know what's waiting for us." (Eevee says.

The rescue party soon reached inside the island's limit, and soon approached land. Suddenly, a large fin swims past nearby, catching Crophish's attention.

Corphish informs the others, "Phish Cor Cor Corphish!" (Everyone! Beware! Some Sharpedoes are around us!)

That has everyone on high alert, and Corphish is right, a school of Sharpedo has the boat surrounded.

Meowth cries out, "Please, please don't stare at me with that look!"

"Wobbuffet!" (Please don't stare!) Wobbuffet says, scared.

Pikachu calls out, "Pika Pika! Pikachu Pika!" (Corphish, increase the speed to get rid of them.)

Corphish then increases his speed, but the Sharpedo School are still following them and are catching up. Combusken tries to use Fire Spin on them, but it's no use. With Sharpedo being a Water Type, Fire Attacks won't work on it. The lead Sharpedo swims faster and faster. Once it catches up to them, Sharpedo takes a chomp on the boat. Everyone panics as the rest of the Sharpedo School closes in on them. Soon enough, the rescue team is surrounded by the Sharpedo School.

Plusle and Minun both use Thunder Shock. Grovyle and Skwovet then jump across from rock to rock and use a double Bullet Seed to knock the Sharpedos out of the way.

"Cor Corphish!" (Great! Well done!) Corphish says.

Then Corphish throws the rope, "Crophish!" (Now, let's go quickly!)

In fact, he throws the boat towards the shore.

Everyone cries out in their language, (Crophish!)

Corphish then uses Crab Hammer as Grovyle using Leaf Blade, and Skowvet use Bullet Seed. Soon, Crophish, Grovyle, and Skwovet are battling against the Sharpedo

Grovyle!" (Let's become your rivals!) Grovyle says

"Cro Phish Phish!" (Since today is the Summer Festival, I will spare no energy.) Corphish says.

"Skwovet Skwovet!" (Let's teach these sharks a lesson!) Skwovet says.

Meanwhile, Pikachu and the rest of the group have reached land.

"We have arrived at last," Meowth says, relieved.

"Wobbuffet," (Finally.) Wobbuffet replies.

Suddenly, Plusle hears something, "Plu Plusle?" (What Is that voice?)

Minun hears it too and says, "Min Min Min," (That's Azumarill's voice.)

Everyone hears the voice and searches around.

"Where is Azumarill? Where is her voice coming from?" Meowth asks.

Eevee points her paw up and says, "Vee Eevee Eevee. Eevee Vee Vee." (It came from up there. Above on the mountain side.)

Everyone soon looks up and listens carefully to hear Azumarill's singing voice coming from the cave up in the mountain.

"Azumarill!" Meowth cries out and rushes ahead.

Pikachu, Eevee, and the others follow after them.

The gang is able to find a path on the side of the mountain, and make their way up. However, because of the ledge, they need to be careful, otherwise they'll fall over.

Meowth steps on the ledge, it breaks, and causes him to cry out, "What?!"

Luckily, Wobbuffet and the others are able to catch him.

"Don't let go, Wobbuffet! I'll fall and splat if you do!" Meowth cries out.

"Wobbuffet!" (We're trying!) Wobuffet cries out.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar cry, and look up to see the Skarmory from before flying in their direction, and it's coming to attack them. Combusken acts fast and lets out a Fire Spin. Then, Amaura lets out an Aurora Beam. However, Skarmory dodges the attacks and continues flying around.

Pikachu cries out, "Pikachu Pika!" (Quick, pull Meowth up!)

The gang then pull Meowth up from the ledge just in time.

Meowth says in relief, "I'm safe now."

But Skarmory begins to fly back.

Combusken says, "Com Combusken." (Leave it to us.)

"Amaura Amur Amur Amura," (We'll stall Skarmory while you get away.)

"Pikachu!" (Understood!) Pikachu says.

Eevee then says, "Vee Eevee." (We'll leave it to you.)

And Meloetta says, "Loetta Mel Meloetta." (Be careful, you two.)

With that, Pikachu, Eevee, and the others hurry down the path as Combusken and Amaura begin to battle against Skarmory.

Sometime later, the rescue party have reached the cave and are walking along the path to find Azumarill. Some are on high alert in case any Pokemon plan to show up.

Meowth says, "It's very dark and scary here."

"Wobbuffet," (I agree.)

Happiny becomes scared and remains close to Meowth.

Meowth comforts her, "It's okay, just stay close to us, okay."

Happiny nods in response, but still nervous of being in the dark cave.

Minun says, "Min Min Minun," (Meowth and Wobbuffet are cowards.)

"Plu Plu Plusle," (There's nothing in this wave. We won't be scared.) Plusle adds.

Soon, Plusle and Minun walk ahead of everyone else.

Hearing it makes the two displaced.

"I will not lose to you two," Meowth says.

Then Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Happiny run ahead.

"I also need to go forward with courage," Meowth says.

"Wobbuffet!" (That's right!) Wobbffet says.

"Hap Happiny," (Yeah. With courage.) Happiny says.

And soon it becomes a race between Team Rocket and Plusle and Minun. In fact, they are running so fast that they reach the lower area of the cave. And in the process, leaving Pikachu, Eevee, and Meloetta behind. Then they rush over to watch up with the others.

However, unknown to them, a few Magnemites float over and spot them.

Back outside, Grovyle, Skwovet and Corphish are still fighting with the Sharpedo. Skowvet and Grovyle perform Bullet Seed, Corphis performs Bubble Beam. The Sharpedo fires their attacks and sends the water splashing.

Back in the cave, the rescue team continues to travel deep in the cave. Just then, they stop to find two more tunnels.

"Right or…" Meowth says, and looks at the two paths, "Left?" Then began to think, "This is a big problem."

"Wobbuffet," (A huge problem.) Wobbuffet says.

Suddenly, they begin to hear Azumarill singing.

"Loetta," (It's Azumarill's voice!) Meloetta says.

"But which side?" Meowth asks.

Eevee walks over and listens to the left side, but nothing is there. Eevee then walks to the right side and listens carefully. Soon, Eevee hears Azumarill's voice down the tunnel.

Eevee says, "Vee Eevee!" (Azumarill's down there!)

"Then let's hurry," Meowth says.

Suddenly, they hear a loud roar.

"What was that?" Meowth asks.

And soon, out of the rocky wall is Aggron, the ruler of the Island of Iron, and he's not happy to see visitors.

"It's Aggron!" Meowth cries out.

Pikachu, Eevee, Plusle and Minun rush over.

Pikachu demands, "Pika Pika Pika Pikachu!" (So it was you who sent that Skarmory to capture Azumarill!)

"Min Min Min," (Let Azumarill go!) Minun says.

However, Aggron lets out a roar and says, (Shut up! I won't give you back Azumarill!)

And performs a powerful Sandstorm Attack, sending everyone back. Everyone soon tries to stand their ground in overcoming the powerful attack. Then Aggron performs a powerful Iron Tail towards them.

"This is a very dangerous Iron Tail!" Meowth cries out.

Pikachu and Eevee both jump in the air and perform a powerful Thunderbolt attack, and sends Aggron crashing to the ground.

Meowth says, "We'll leave it to you two. We're going to rescue Azumarill."

Pikachu and Eevee say in their language, (Understood!)

Meloetta, Meowth, Wobbuffet, and Happiny rush down the path to find Azumarill while Pikachu and Eevee stay behind to fight against Aggron.

Aggron turns to the Magnemite, (Go, go and stop them!)

Magnemite then follows them without another word. Meowth and the others run through the right tunnel, but Magnemite isn't far behind.

Aggron confronts the four Pokemon, "Okay, here it comes!"

Pikachu, Eevee, Plusle, and Minun prepare themselves to fight back.

While Pikachu, Eevee, and the others are at the Island of Iron to rescue Asumzrill. Everyone waits anxiously for their return, and are very worried. Elder Bellsprout talks to Swellow and with that, Swellow flies off.

Back in the cave, Meloetta and Team Rocket's Pokemon run down the tunnel to find Azumarill and rescue her. Just then, the Magnemite flies over them and begins to attack.

Meowth and the others get behind Wobbuffet.

"Wobbuffet, it's your turn to contribute," Meowth cries out.

With that, Wobbuffet uses Counter to repel Magnemite's electric attack.

"Loetta!" (We must hurry) Meloetta says.

"You're right. We need to amscray now!" Meowth says.

And with that, everyone makes a run for it down the tunnel.

Back outside, Combusken and Amaura are still running away from Skarmory, trying to buy then gang more time. Skarmory performs swift, but both Pokemon dodge. Combusken gives Skarmory a powerful Sky UpperCut, and strikes at it with full force. But now, both Combusken and Skarmory fall down the cliff. Amaura calls out in concern, and jumps down to follow Cumbusken.

Back in the cave, the rest of the group rush and soon Azumarill sings.

"Azumarill!" Meowth calls out.

Hearing them, Azumarill turns to the group's attention.

"Azumarill, we found you at last!" Meowth says, "We've beaten down a school of Sharpedo, a Skarmory, and Aggron… and come here to rescue you," He grabs Azumarill's paw and says, "We need to quickly head back to the festival now!

But Azumarill says, "Azumarill Azu Azumarill," (Wait, but I can't go back now.)

"What do you mean?" Meowth asks.

Happiny asks, "Happ?" (Why?)

Everyone looks to where Azumarill is pointing to, and are shocked.

"What?! What is this?!" Meowth exclaims in deep shock.

"Mel," (Oh my.) Meloetta replies, surprised.

Back outside the right tunnel, Aggron slams its paw to the ground, and sends the four Pokemon back against the wall. Aggron steps forward and is ready to give them a powerful attack. Pikachu and Eevee cover Plusle and Minun to protect them.

Just then, a Bubble Beam, Fire Spin, two Bullet Seed, and Psybeam come out of nowhere and strike at Aggron from behind. The four Pokemon look to see Grovyle, Swkovet, Amaura, Corphish, and Combusken have arrived just in time.

"Gro Grovyle," (Sorry we kept you waiting.) Grovyle says.

"Comb Combusken," (Sorry we're late.) Combusken!

"Cor Cor Corpsihh!" (Hey big guy! You want a piece of us) Corphish says.

Pikachu and the others rush the rest of the group, but Aggron regains himself and is ready to battle once more. But before they can attack, Meowth and Wobbuffet rush over.

Meowth calls out, "Hold it! Wait! Stop all that fighting!"

And are soon standing in front of Aggron, like they're protecting him?

Corphish demands, "Cor Cor Corphish!" (Why are you disturbing us, Meowht?)

Just then, a small Aron shows up. And then a Lairon. And finally, Azumarill, Meloetta, and Happiny arrive. Soon, more Aron and Lairon show up.

"Plu Plu," (Azumarill!) Plusle says, happily.

"Min Min Min!" (It's great to see you're safe!) Minun says.

Soon, the group of Aaron and Larion snuggle Azumarill and are happy. It's clear to see that they're close to Azumarill.

Sometime later, everyone arrives at the ledge of the cliff, where they can see the ocean and the beach.

Aggron begins to explain, (It happened nearly a month ago. We overheard a group of Wingulls chatting about when they were here. The famous singer, Azumarill will attend the Summer Festival. Aron and Lairon knew this and wanted to listen to her sing. But… However, we can't go across the sea, and Skarmory is unable to bring us all there. So…)

"Vee Eevee Eevee Eevee," (So you had Skarmory bring Azumarill here?) Eevee asks.

Aggron nods and apologizes, (I'm sorry Azumarill, and to all of you as well. I hope you can forgive me.)

Aaron approaches Azumarill and asks, ( Are you… going back now?) sounding very sad, "(I still want to listen to you sing…)

But then Meowth says, "No worry."

Everyone turns to Meowth, confused.

"I will let you feel the happy Summer Festival by taking you over there," Meowth says.

"Happiny Hap Happiny?" (But Meowth… how are you going to bring them over there?) Happiny asks.

"Well…" Meowth says, unsure, "I'll figure out this solution"

Minun asks, "Min Min Minun Min Mun?" (Solution? What solution?)

"Well that is… well…" Meowth thinks.

But just then, a Wailord appears in front of the shore of the island. Then, Swellow flies down and lands on Swellow's head.

Swellow explains, "Swellow Swellow Swell Swellow." (Bellsprout asked Wailord and I to find out what's going on.)

Then Pikachu has an idea, "Pika! Pika Pika Pikachu!" (I know! Wailod can carry all of us back to the festival!)

Everyone cheers to hear the idea. Aggron likes the idea.

"Hey, but I was going to suggest that," Meowth says.

"Wobbuffet," (Too late for that.) Wobbuffet says.

And with that, everyone rides on Wailord's back across the sea as the sun sets. Everyone is very excited to return to the festival.

Sometime later in the night, the spotlights turn on. Meowth is on stage wearing a blue suit, red bow tie, and a top hat, and holding a cane.

Meowth announces, "Ladies and gentlemen. Fathers, mothers, and children. The performance of Azumarill is starting now!"

All the Pokemon cheer as Meowth walks off the stage. Soon, Azumarill's voice begins to spread across the area with the speakers and Azumarill is lowered on stage by the singer, wearing a beautiful tiara. Azumarill sings a lovely melody as she walks down the stairs and sings for all to hear. All the pokemon in the audience are happy. Soon, Pikachu, Eevee, and the rest of the gang, even Team Rocket's Pokemon, and Aron sing along with her.

As the festival continues, all the Pokemon have food, play games, try the attractions, and are having a wonderful time. It turns out to be a great Summer Festival for everyone.
