A few days passed, and Jinx found herself grappling with sharp pains in her stomach. Herald had mentioned that these could be signs she was getting close to delivering—maybe within a week or so. The news sent a wave of anxiety through her. What was childbirth really like?

She tried to push the thoughts aside, reasoning with herself that women had been giving birth for generations, so surely it couldn't be that bad. But then again, she recalled hearing other women share their experiences—the horror stories of pain so intense they almost ripped their husbands' hands clean off in desperation during contractions. Those tales echoed in her mind, fueling her apprehension.

On top of that, she had spoken to a few midwives who delivered babies for a living. They had told her that lying down could make the pain worse and prolong the labor. Instead, they advised her to keep moving and adopt a crouched position during contractions, which sounded exhausting and daunting.

"how the fuck I'm supposed to be in excruciating pain and also find the energy to move around?" Jinx murmured to herself, pacing around the room.

Jinx realized she should have been mentally gearing up for this moment all along, but the reality of childbirth—the thought of physically bringing a baby into the world—had been something she'd avoided contemplating until now. With a gentle hand resting on her swollen belly, she silently hoped their baby would make its debut with minimal fuss.

From the living room, she could hear the lively conversation of her family, who assumed she was resting. She had intended to nap for a while, but the baby had other plans, kicking and squirming with boundless energy. Each movement was a reminder of the little life inside her, leaving her feeling agitated and unable to relax.

To avoid snapping at anyone out of sheer frustration, Jinx decided she needed a change of scenery. Rather than exiting through the front door and inviting a parade of concerned companions, she chose a more discreet route. She slipped out through the window, taking care to leave a note this time—she had learned her lesson. The last thing she wanted was Ekko and Isha, weapons in hand, frantically scouring the streets for her. Before leaving, she placed a note on the kitchen counter, positioned for easy discovery.

"Just stepping out for a walk to gather my thoughts. Don't worry, I will be back before it gets dark– Jinx." she had written before climbing out the window, you would think it would be very hard for her to do such a thing being very pregnant but with shimmer in her system it seemed to make it easy. Unlike bathing herself, that was a pain in the ass. Thank Janna for Ekko and Isha, they got the hard to reach areas for her.
Once outside, she inhaled deeply, savoring the crisp air and the calming quiet of the outdoors. The contrast to the lively atmosphere inside was exactly what she needed—a moment of solitude to think and find tranquility before the forthcoming whirlwind of labor.

Strolling through the familiar streets, she absorbed the natural beauty surrounding her—the colorful blooms, the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, and the distant sounds of children playing. Each step brought a sense of liberation, allowing her to momentarily set aside her anxieties.

As Jinx wandered through the bustling streets of Demacia, her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the impending challenges of motherhood. Consequently, she failed to notice the shadowy figure trailing her. Her attention was momentarily diverted by a glint from an alleyway—a peculiar metal gear that seemed vaguely familiar. Intrigued, she approached it, reaching out to examine it closer.

However, before she could even touch the object, a sudden blow struck the back of her head, rendering her unconscious. The street was busy, yet not a single passerby witnessed the swift and stealthy abduction as Jinx was lifted onto the shoulder of a man.

The man's attire was a striking combination of red and gold, marked by a sleeveless open vest that revealed his muscular build. Arm guards and a belt adorned with spikes underscored his menacing presence. Two spinning axes hung from his belt, allowing him to easily carry Jinx's limp form.

"Yeah, this is her all right." he muttered with a smirk, glancing down at Jinx then at her old wanted poster from Piltover.
"She ain't so tough to handle after all." His words dripped with arrogance as he carried her away, disappearing into the shadows of the city with practiced ease.

Meanwhile back at home, Ekko knocked gently on the door before stepping into the room. He knew Jinx had wanted to rest, but he had a feeling their unborn baby might be causing her some trouble, as was often the case. He thought about offering to lie down with her, knowing his presence had a calming effect on both Jinx and the baby.

However, upon entering, his eyes immediately caught sight of the open window and the absence of Jinx. He let out a groan, a mix of stress and exasperation, as he quickly spotted the note she had left behind. Picking it up, he read her words, shaking his head slightly in a mix of amusement and concern.

"Always a dance with you..." he sighed, setting the note back on the end table. It was just like Jinx to slip away for a moment of solitude, leaving him both worried and amused by her antics.

Peering out the window, he noted the bright afternoon sun still high in the sky. This gave him some comfort, knowing that many in the community were familiar with Jinx and would lend a hand if needed—or even tattle on her mischievous escapades, like painting graffiti with Isha on a nearby building. Isha entered the room, her gaze immediately falling on Ekko with a questioning look that silently asked where Jinx was. Her expression shifted to a pout as Ekko explained that Jinx had gone for a walk and would be back soon. Isha's disappointment was evident, she clearly wished Jinx had invited her to join the walk.
"Come on, don't be upset with her. You know she heads out alone when she's frustrated and doesn't want to take it out on us. Remember when she yelled at you for making that bomb, and when you cried, she was down for a whole week?" Ekko said, gently ruffling Isha's hair. Isha's pout softened, and she managed a small smile with a nod.

"Let's give her at least an hour to blow off some steam before we go track her down. Consider it giving her a head start, okay?" His light-hearted suggestion earned a giggle from Isha, who nodded in agreement. They both returned to the living room, where Caitlyn looked up, noticing their quick return.

"Did she fall asleep?" Caitlyn asked.

"Jinx went for a walk. I think the baby was making it hard for her to rest." Ekko responded as he settled onto the couch.

"What?! She shouldn't be out for a walk alone! Let's go find her," Vi exclaimed, visibly alarmed by Jinx's solo outing, especially given how close she was to having the baby.

"Vi, calm down." Ekko replied, maintaining his composure.

"She just needs some time alone. Let's give her an hour before we start searching. But if—" he says before he could finish, Savika interjected.

"I'll go find the brat and keep an eye on her. If anything happens, I'll bring her back myself." Savika growled, decisively getting up and heading out, with Isha quickly following her.

Five hours had passed since Ekko discovered the note, and the sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the streets. As the first hour slipped by without any sign of Jinx, Ekko, Vi, and Caitlyn set out to search for her, their concern mounting with each passing minute.

They eventually crossed paths with Savika and Isha, who were diligently questioning anyone they encountered about Jinx's whereabouts. Savika's expression was a mix of frustration and worry, clearly irritated by the lack of helpful information from the people they questioned.

Ekko felt a growing sense of guilt gnawing at him. He berated himself for not acting sooner, for not insisting on going with Jinx when she first mentioned needing a rest. If he had been more proactive, perhaps this situation could have been avoided. Vi, sensing Ekko's turmoil, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"We'll find her, Ekko." Vi says trying to hide her own worry.

"Let's split up and cover more ground. We know Jinx, and she knows these streets better than anyone. She'll find her way back. I'll go see if the guards can help us look for her." Caitlyn chimed in, her voice calm but firm before heading off to find more people to help.

Far from the familiar city streets, Jinx found herself in an unfamiliar and grim environment—a decrepit cabin nestled in the mountains. She was suspended by her wrists inside a makeshift jail cell. As she slowly regained consciousness, a small groan escaped her lips. Her head was still foggy, a lingering effect of whatever had knocked her out. However, thanks to shimmer coursing through her system, she felt no pain and detected no bleeding.

As she attempted to move, her body swayed slightly, the chains clinking as she hung suspended off the ground. The room around her was cold and damp, filled with the stench of mold mixed with an overpowering, nauseating cologne, accompanied by the sour scent of stale sweat. The assault on her senses was overwhelming, making her stomach churn and threatening to rebel.

Jinx thought ruefully about the air of Zaun, which she had often considered unpleasant. But this place surpassed even Zaun's notorious odor. She would have gladly embraced the familiar smog of the Grey over the revolting mixture that permeated this cabin.
"Well, look who finally woke up!" a voice drawled from the shadows of the dimly lit room.

"I was starting to get bored waiting. Gotta say, I didn't think I'd find you, let alone catch you so easily. Guess I have whoever knocked you up to thank for that," the man snickered, stepping into Jinx's line of sight.

Jinx turned her head, her eyes narrowing as she took in the sight of her captor. She assessed him with a fierce glare, instinctively bringing her legs up to shield her belly the best she could, protecting the life within her. Despite the precariousness of her situation, she refused to show any hint of fear.

"And who the hell are you?" she retorted, her voice dripping with disdain.

"You smell like shit. No, wait—that'd be an insult to all the shit in the world." Jinx scoffed, her defiance palpable even in her vulnerable state. The man chuckled at her bravado, seemingly unfazed by her sharp tongue.

"You've got quite the mouth on you, don't you? But that's okay. I like a bit of spirit in my captives." he said, clearly enjoying the banter.

"Name's Draven, sweetheart." he announced with a self-satisfied grin.

"And I'll be taking you back home with me to Noxus. I heard you played a part in beating those who wanted to take over Piltover. Clearly, those Noxians were too weak to take you out. I, on the other hand, am not. I'm the strongest man in Noxus," he boasted, puffing up his chest as he reveled in his own grandeur. Jinx hung there, her expression unimpressed and unyielding.

"Okay, first of all, don't call me 'sweetheart,' or I'll happily rip your mouth off when I get free," she retorted, her voice calm but laced with a deadly promise.

"Secondly, bragging about kidnapping a pregnant woman? Really? You think that's something to boast about?" Her words cut through the air with biting sarcasm, and she fixed Draven with a steely gaze, showing no sign of intimidation. Despite the chains and the precarious situation, Jinx's spirit was far from broken, and she maintained her defiant stance. Draven's smirk faltered slightly at her lack of fear, a flicker of irritation crossing his face.

"Better watch it, sweetheart," Draven growled, his voice dripping with menace.

"Or I might just bring your head back with me and mount it on my wall after collecting the bounty on you. It clearly says 'dead or alive.'" He stepped closer, pressing one of his spinning axe blades against her neck, cutting her slightly before pulling back and spitting on the ground beneath her.

"But it's more money if you're alive, and maybe your kid can be a bonus." he added with a smirk. With that, he turned and walked out of the cabin, leaving Jinx alone in the dismal cell.

Jinx lowered her legs cautiously once he was gone, releasing a shaky breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. The fear was real, but she had to maintain her bravado in front of him, even if it meant taunting him more than she should have. Now, with the immediate threat gone, she needed to focus on escaping.

She scanned the room, searching for anything that could aid her in breaking free. Her eyes darted around, taking in every detail, every potential tool or weapon within reach. She knew she didn't have much time, Draven could return at any moment to drag her off to Noxus.

Jinx's eyes were fixed on the rusted nail, her mind racing with the possibilities it presented. It wasn't much, but it might just be enough to give her a chance at freedom. Determined, she kicked off her shoes and began to swing her body back and forth, using the momentum to stretch her legs toward the nail.

After several attempts, her foot finally made contact with the nail. She hooked her toes around it, carefully working it back and forth until it came loose. With the nail now in her grasp, she faced the next challenge. Getting it from her foot to her mouth, a task complicated by her round belly.

The effort was taxing, each movement requiring precision and strength. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she strained to maneuver her foot close enough, finally managing to capture the nail between her teeth.

With the nail secured, Jinx shifted her focus to the lock. Pulling herself up with a surge of determination, she transferred the nail to her hand, being careful not to drop it. Her hand trembled slightly, a mix of exhaustion and adrenaline, but she steadied herself, focusing on the task at hand.

She started working on the lock, her fingers deftly manipulating the nail, hoping it would be enough to pick the lock. Every second felt like an eternity, but she knew she had to keep trying, driven by the need to escape and protect herself along with her unborn child. After a tense minute of working the nail in the lock, Jinx finally heard the satisfying click. The chains released, and she dropped to the ground with a thud. Wasting no time, she bolted from the cell that was left open. leaving her shoes behind in her haste no time to put them back on.

Activating her shimmer-enhanced speed, she dashed through the cabin, her heart pounding as she sprinted past Draven. She caught a glimpse of his shocked face as he yelled angry curses, his overconfidence having led to this moment. His frustration echoed through the cabin as he realized his captive had slipped through his fingers.

Jinx didn't look back. She ran into the night, Draven's voice fading into the distance as she put more ground between them. The darkness enveloped her, and though she didn't know which direction led home, she trusted her instincts to guide her away from danger.

Navigating the twisted mountain paths, she pressed on, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Eventually, she found a high spot among the rocks where she could pause and catch her breath. The elevation provided a temporary refuge, allowing her a moment to gather her thoughts and plan her next move.

As Jinx tried to catch her breath, a sharp pain suddenly shot through her lower stomach. She gasped, feeling a warm fluid gush from between her legs. Her eyes widened in disbelief—her water had just broken. She was going into labor, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Panic mixed with determination as she realized the urgency of her situation. The first contraction hit hard, making her grit her teeth against the pain. She had to let her body do what it needed to, but she also had to stay alert and keep moving. To add to her predicament, she could hear Draven's angry voice echoing through the mountain paths. He was still searching, his curses growing louder as he drew nearer.

"You've got to be kidding me..." she breathed out, frustration mixing with fear. She couldn't let him find her, not now. Despite the pain and the overwhelming situation, she knew she had to move, to find a safer place where she could give birth without the threat of her captor looming.

Gritting her teeth against another contraction, Jinx pushed herself to her feet, using every ounce of her willpower to keep moving. She navigated the rugged terrain, seeking a secluded spot to hide and prepare for the imminent arrival of her child. Her instincts drove her forward, each step a battle against the pain and the danger closing in.

Jinx pushed herself to navigate the dark, rocky mountain terrain, eventually finding a small cave nestled on a ledge. It wasn't much, but it offered some shelter and concealment. This would have to be her haven, her refuge while she brought her child into the world, far from the prying eyes of her relentless pursuer.

The contractions were coming hard and fast now, each wave of pain more intense than the last. She knew she couldn't run anymore, her body demanded her full attention. With determination, she climbed into the cave, grateful for the small measure of safety it provided.

She quickly removed her belts, using them both as something to bite down on and to help lower her pants. Each movement was challenging, but she focused on the task at hand. Jinx experimented with different positions, trying to find one that offered some relief from the relentless contractions. Finally, she settled into a position that allowed her some degree of comfort, preparing herself mentally and physically for the ordeal ahead. Her mind was a whirlwind of fear, pain, and determination, but she knew she had to stay strong despite the dangerous circumstances.

"Damn it kid, you had to want out now of all times." Jinx muttered through gritted teeth, her voice a mix of frustration and resolve.

"When I'm alone and running to save both of us. I should have stayed home or taken someone with me…" Her words were cut off by another powerful contraction, and she bit down hard on the belt to stifle any cries of pain that might betray her hiding place. The effort was immense, each contraction testing her strength and resolve.

In the quiet of the cave, Jinx's mind wandered briefly to thoughts of home, of safety, of what she wouldn't give for a thunderstorm to mask any sounds and provide a measure of security against Draven's pursuit. But there was no storm, just the solitude of the mountain night and the relentless drive of her body as it prepared to bring new life into the world.

"feels like I'm fucking splitting in half… Ekko… I'm going to fucking strangle you later for this" she mumbles under her pained breathing.

After what felt like an eternity, Jinx gave one final, exhausting push and felt the relief of her baby coming into the world. The newborn's high-pitched cries filled the air, a sound both terrifying and miraculous in the silence of the cave. She quickly leaned forward, scooping up her newborn, cradling the tiny, fragile life against her chest.

In the dim moon light, she couldn't see much of her baby, but the weight and warmth were enough to ignite a fierce protective instinct. The cries—though a relief to hear—were also a beacon, potentially drawing Draven's attention if he was still nearby. Exhaustion threatened to overtake her, but she knew her ordeal was far from over.

She needed to move, and fast. With trembling hands, she pulled her pants back up, not even pausing to cut the umbilical cord or wait for the placenta. Her priority was clear—get away, protect her child. Gathering what little strength remained, Jinx prepared to run again, this time with her baby in her arms. The sound of Draven's menacing laughter echoed in the distance, a chilling reminder of the danger still lurking.

"Damn bastard…" Jinx growled under her breath, forcing herself to move despite the exhaustion and pain. She activated her shimmer, propelling herself forward with renewed urgency.

In her haste, she found herself face-to-face with Draven. His hand reached out to grab her, but she ducked swiftly beneath his grasp, narrowly avoiding capture. She clutched her newborn tightly, the infant now calm and soothed by the movement and warmth of being held close.

Anger simmered within Jinx. This moment—this first meeting with her child—was supposed to be beautiful, shared with Ekko and Isha in safety and love. Instead, it had been marred by fear and solitude, the joy of her child's first cries overshadowed by the threat of Draven's pursuit.

Determined and defiant, she continued to run, her heart pounding with a mix of maternal instinct and fury. She didn't know if her child was a boy or a girl, didn't even know what they looked like, but she felt an overwhelming love and resolve to protect them at any cost.

"You can't run for long!" Draven's voice echoed menacingly as he pursued Jinx, relentless in his chase. They had left the mountains behind and were now weaving through a wooded area. The trees offered some cover, but the danger was far from over.

Jinx heard the ominous sound of blades slicing through the air and instinctively dodged to the side. The weapons embedded themselves in the tree she had just passed. With her heart pounding and adrenaline surging, she pushed herself to run even faster. But then, a bola wrapped around her legs, bringing her crashing to the ground. She twisted her body mid-fall, instinctively shielding her baby from harm as she landed with a painful thud. Draven closed in, a smug look plastered across his face.

"See? Couldn't run for—" he began, but his taunt was cut short by unexpected movement behind Jinx.

A small figure, wearing a vibrant miner's helmet, darted past her, aiming straight for Draven. With remarkable speed, the figure rammed into his crotch, using the helmet as a weapon. This made Draven give out a pained grunt as he stumbles back from the painful headbutt to her groin.

"Isha!" Jinx gasped, relief and surprise mingling in her voice.

"Get the fuck away from my sister, you son of a bitch!" Vi's voice rang out as she emerged from the side, landing a powerful punch squarely on Draven's face. He stumbled back, caught off guard by the sudden assault.

Savika appeared next, cracking her neck with a determined look before seizing Draven. With a swift, fluid motion, she threw him to the ground, leaving him disoriented and vulnerable. Jinx, still catching her breath on the forest floor, watched in awe and gratitude as her family came to her rescue. Their timely intervention had turned the tide, providing her with a moment of safety and hope amidst the chaos.

"Jinx! Thank Janna you're okay," Ekko exclaimed, rushing to her side with Caitlyn and some guards, their torches casting a warm glow in the darkness. As they reached her, they could see the toll the ordeal had taken on her—pale and sweaty, yet relieved.

Ekko's eyes fell to the baby fussing in Jinx's arms. Under the torchlight, Jinx finally got a clear view of her child. It was a boy, a perfect blend of both parents. His mostly white hair, tinged with a hint of blue, reflected Jinx's unique style. He had Ekko's eyes, Jinx's nose, and his skin was a lighter brown—a beautiful melding of their features.

Tears welled up in Ekko's eyes as he wrapped his arms around Jinx, holding her close. In that moment, the world around them faded away, even the sounds of Draven getting thoroughly pummeled by Vi and Savika.

"That was a living nightmare…" Jinx muttered, exhaustion evident in her voice.

"When I'm not so tired? I'm going to kick your ass, childbirth is no joke." she adds, Ekko chuckled softly, kissing her sweaty forehead.

"Yeah, you can kick my ass later. For now, rest. I still need to put in my hits before those two knock him out." he says as Isha comes over to watch over Jinx and her new baby brother.

Ekko gently laid Jinx back, ensuring she was comfortable. As Jinx felt herself drifting into a much-needed rest, Ekko stood to join the fray, his determination fueled by the anger and relief of having his family back. He was ready to deliver his own justice for the fear and danger Draven had brought upon them.

After Ekko and the others had thoroughly subdued Draven, they left him in the capable hands of the guards. Caitlyn, ever resourceful, convinced the authorities to overlook the outdated wanted poster they found on him. She deftly explained that the poster was old and no longer valid, even asserting that Jinx had been framed for the past crimes in Piltover. Her assurance put the guards at ease, allowing them to focus on the immediate task of ensuring Jinx and her baby's safety.

Once Jinx and their newborn were home, they set about tending to Jinx's immediate post-birth needs. Herald, an experienced and gentle hand, allowed Ekko the honor of cutting the umbilical cord. With care and precision, he assisted Jinx in delivering the placenta, though she remained asleep, finally succumbing to the exhaustion of the ordeal. Herald used a few tools to ensure everything was completed properly, safeguarding Jinx's health.

Once the immediate tasks were done, Herald conducted a thorough health check on both Jinx and the newborn. His findings were reassuring—both mother and child were in good health. As the first light of morning began to filter through the windows, the soft cries of their newborn filled the room, rousing Jinx from her much-needed sleep. Instinctively, she curled around her son, providing warmth and comfort as she sat up to tend to his needs. Ekko, still half-asleep, opened his eyes to see Jinx already cradling their son and breastfeeding him with tender care.

"He's perfect..." Jinx murmured, her voice still laced with sleep but filled with awe and love.

"Maybe not in the way he picked to come into the world." she added with a soft chuckle, reflecting on the chaotic circumstances of his birth. Ekko smiled, propping himself up on one elbow to watch them, his heart filled with pride and joy.

"He sure knows how to make an entrance, doesn't he? Wonder where he got that from?" Ekko teased gently, brushing his fingers across their baby's soft cheek.

"Fuck you." Jinx replied with a playful smile, glancing over at him with affection. Her tone was light, filled with the camaraderie and love that had always defined their relationship. The movement beside Jinx caught her attention as Isha stirred and sat up. After the stress and worry of the previous day, Isha had insisted on staying close, refusing to sleep in her own room.

"Good morning, Isha." Jinx greeted, her voice warm and appreciative leaning over giving her daughter a kiss on the head.

"Way to deal a power headbutt last night." she added with a smirk, watching Isha's face light up with pride at the praise.

Isha grinned widely, the compliment from Jinx clearly making her day. Her bravery and quick thinking had been instrumental in turning the tide, and the acknowledgment from Jinx was a badge of honor she wore with pride.

"So, what are your thoughts on naming our son?" Ekko asked, wanting Jinx to have the opportunity to choose, even though he had a name in mind already.

"Zyren?" Jinx suggested, watching Ekko's face light up with a smile. It seemed they were on the same wavelength, as she had chosen the very name he had in mind.

"Zyren it is." Ekko confirmed, his voice filled with warmth.

"That was the name I had in mind if it was a boy. And it looks like you were right about the baby being a boy after all." Ekko adds before a soft knock interrupted their moment, and Ekko called out an invitation to enter. Vi rushes in, her eyes immediately drawn to the newborn.

"How are you doing, sis? The baby good too?" she asked, her voice filled with concern and excitement. She watched as Zyren finished eating, letting out an adorable burp.

"Oh my god, it's like a mini Jinx when you were a baby! Your burps sounded just like that." Vi laughed, the sound full of fond memories.

"Vi, don't be too loud or you might upset the baby." Caitlyn advised, walking over. Zyren blinked up at her, a small glare forming on his face as he curiously regarded her.

"Definitely takes after Jinx..." Caitlyn mused, amused by the baby's expression.

"Fresh out of the womb and already looking for fights, I think I'm going to like this brat." Savika smirked, meeting Zyren's gaze. To everyone's surprise, Zyren smiled and reached his little hands out, seemingly wanting to be picked up by Savika.

"Looks like he wants grandma," Jinx teased, smirking at Savika. Despite her initial scuff, Savika reached down to pick up Zyren. The little one cooed up at her, seemingly delighted—until he decided to spit up on her, giggling afterward.

"Never mind, I hate the brat." Savika grumbled, handing Zyren back to Jinx, who was now laughing heartily at the scene.

Isha watched with a mixture of amusement and distaste at the sight of the spit-up on Savika. She made a face but couldn't help chuckling at her brother, who was now comfortably nestled between Jinx and herself. Zyren looked up at her with a gummy smile, melting her heart. Cautiously, Isha offered her finger for Zyren to hold, careful to avoid the same fate as Savika. Zyren grasped her finger with surprising strength, his innocence and charm shining through.

Despite the chaos and occasional mess, the moment was perfect in its own way. Their family, bound by love and laughter, felt complete with Zyren's arrival. As they settled into the morning, surrounded by those they cared about, there was a shared understanding that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, strengthened by the bonds they cherished.

well, how was the last chapter? took me forever to do this one and yet i feel like its to short DX thank you to those that have been commenting and asking for more. it made me finish this, if not for you all i might have forgotten about this for a while or might have even dropped it. I would have hated to do that. nothing is worse then getting into a story only to have it get dropped
