Authoress Note: Welcome to the very first chapter of Hold On. I do apologize for taking so long to get this very first chapter up, but I hope that it does make up for me being so late with getting this first Chapter up. There will be 13 chapters for each story in this series to kind of make it worthwhile. I decided to start with Aliens of London and the following episode before I go down the winding path of the adventures of this Time Witch. Enjoy.

Chapter 1

Alien's Landing on Earth?!

The Doctor parked his Tardis in a store room. He slowly exited his beautiful ship when he noticed a golden sparkling light come from overhead, blinking a few times. "Oh you've got to be joking when you first show up?" The Doctor said with a groan. He knew who was coming through that portal.

A young woman landed harshly on her knees, her white skirts fluttering haphazardly as she landed. She let out a soft groan as she righted herself up on her feet. She blinked a few times before looking up, seeing the Doctor as she got up to her feet. "Oh… I'm sorry…" She looked around nervously, her brown hair flipping around as she looked around her brown eyes scanning the area, as she nibbled her lower lip softly. "Where… oh dear is this a storage room?" She questioned as she whirled around to look at the Doctor with wide scared eyes. "Oh bollocks."

"You're the one that landed here, Leona." The Doctor said as he looked at her. He took in the sight of her only seeing her all throughout his life, this was the youngest he had ever seen her.

Her eyes went wide. "What… how do you know my name?" She questioned recoiling a little bit.

"I'm the Doctor. You've been all throughout my life… that's how I know you."

She blinked a few times. "What? All through your life."

The Doctor nodded his head.

"Oh bollocks… I thought I had time travel down."

The Doctor let out a soft chuckle enjoying how young and carefree she was before becoming a woman who was hardened by the war and seeing things that perhaps shouldn't have been seen by a time jumping witch. "You do have it down… you just pick rare opportunities to show up that's all…"

Leona looked up at him shyly. "Exactly where am I?"

"London...Albion Hospital."

She blinked a few times. "On Earth?"

The Doctor blinked a few times. "Yes on Earth."

Leona took a soft breath. "Can we get out of this storage room please?"

The Doctor whipped out his sonic screwdriver and went to the door to get it unlocked. "Shush!" The Doctor whispered to his sonic screwdriver.

Leona blinked a few times wondering what in the world he was doing.

The two of them got out of the room and walked right into a room full of Red Berets. They stared at each other in silence for a moment, then the soldiers grabbed their weapons pointing them at the Doctor and Leona.

They turned quickly hearing a scream from a woman.

"Defence plan delta! Come on. Move! Move!" The Doctor shouted as he led the Red Berets out of the room.

Leona followed by biting her lower lip. Her brain is rushing with thoughts of what to do.

They rushed into the mortuary seeing a woman cowering by her desk, having a cut on her head.

"It's alive!" Sato said, screaming in shock.

"Spread out. Tell the perimeter it's a lockdown."

"My god. It's still alive."

"Do it!"

"Mick, Terry, side rooms. Now!"

The soldiers began to do what they were told.

"Clear!"

"Front clear!"

"Keep it moving!"

"Clear!"

Leona looked at the Doctor. "Is it always like this?" She asked softly tucking some of her brown hair behind her ear shifting nervously in her white dress.

The Doctor chuckled softly. "After a while you'll get use to it. I promise that you will be no longer surprised the more you travel."

Leona let out a soft giggle looking down bashfully. "If you say so, Doctor."

Sato slowly moved closer to the Doctor and Leona. "I swear it was dead."

"Coma, shock, hibernation, anything. What does it look like?" The Doctor questioned looking over at Sato only to hear metal clattering.

Leona turned her head sharply looking around.

"It's still here." The Doctor gestured to a soldier outside the door to come in and kneel by Toshiko. The Doctor moved to the filing cabinet and behind it was a pig. "Hello."

The pig ran out on its hind legs, wearing a spacesuit.

"Don't shoot!"

Leona and the Doctor rushed after the pig only to hear a gun going off.

The Doctor's eyes went wide as he saw the pig laying on the floor motionless.

Leona gasped her hands going up to her mouth in shock. "What did you do that for? It was scared! It was scared." She said looking on in shock.

The Doctor grasped her shoulder and moved her back knowing that this version of Leona hadn't seen death before, and the first death was always the hardest.

"I just assumed that's what aliens look like, but you're saying it's an ordinary pig from Earth." Sato said as she looked at the pig that was now on the slab to be looked over.

"More like a mermaid. Victorian showmen used to draw the crowds by taking the skull of a cat, gluing it to a fish and calling it a mermaid. Now someone's taken a pig, opened up it's brain, stuck bits on, then they've strapped it in that ship and made it dive bomb. It must've been terrified. They've taken this animal and turned it into a joke."

"So it's a fake, a pretend, like the mermaid. But the technology augmenting its brain, it's like nothing on Earth. It's alien. Aliens are faking aliens. But why would they do that? Doctor?"

The Doctor quickly led Leona away to his Tardis and got inside of it with her.

Leona looked around. "I know this ship… I've seen a lot of them…"

"It's a Tardis." He said as he flipped the switches to get the Tardis moving.

"I know what it is… that means… you're a time lord."

"Very good."

"But it's forbidden for me to be with you."

"No one will never know…"

"What… why?"

"It's hard to explain. I promise I'll explain later."

Leona pursed her lips together in a thin line.

Rose rushed down to where the Tardis was. "He wouldn't just go, he promised me."

"Oh, he's dumped you, Rose. Sailed off into space. How does it feel, huh? Now you are left behind with the rest of us Earthlings. Get used to it." Mickey said as he followed his girlfriend.

"He would have said."

"What're you two chimps going on about? What's going on? What's this Doctor done now?" Jackie questioned as she followed her daughter.

"Ho, ho, ho. He's vamoosed." Mickey said as he noticed that the Tardis was gone.

"He's not, because he gave me this. He's not my boyfriend, Mickey. He's better than that. He's much more important than…"

The Tardis key began to glow and the Tardis began to materialise.

"I said so. Mum! Mum, go inside. Mum, don't stand there, just go inside. Just, Mum, go. Oh, blimey."

The Tardis comes into full view.

"Huh?"

"How'd you do that, then?" Jackie questioned looking on in shock.

Rose went quickly into the Tardis. She let out a gasp seeing Leona there.

"All right, so I lied. I went and had a look. But the whole crash landing's a fake. I thought so. Just too perfect. I mean, hitting Big Ben. Come on, so I thought let's go and have a look…"

"My mum's here."

"Oh, that's just what I need. Don't you dare make this place domestic."

Mickey rushed into the Tardis snarling. "You ruined my life, Doctor. They thought she was dead. I was a murder suspect because of you."

The Doctor looked at Rose giving her a look. "You see what I mean? Domestic."

"I bet you don't even remember my name."

"Ricky."

"It's Mickey."

"No, it's Ricky."

"I think I know my own name."

"You think you know your own name? How stupid are you?"

"Mum, don't! Don't go anywhere. Don't start a fight!" Rose called out following her mom quickly.

Leona jabbed her elbow into the Doctor's ribs.

"Owe what was that for?" He questioned rubbing his side where she had elbowed him.

"For being rude." She looked at Mickey. "I do apologize for this jerk's rudeness…"

Mickey looked over at Leona. "Who are you?"

"Leona." She said softly, biting her lower lip. "Kind of just passing through."

DWDWDW

"That was a real spaceship."

"Yep."

"So it's all a pack of lies? What is it, then? Are they invading?"

"Funny way to invade, putting the world on red alert." Mickey said, crossing his arms, rolling his eyes.

"Good point! So, what're they up to?"

DWDWDW

Leona looked up, her brown eyes looked fairly tired from her time jumping and the excitement of the day.

"So, what're you doing down there?" Mickey questioned as he watched the Doctor who began his work.

"Ricky."

"Mickey."

"Ricky. If I was to tell you what I was doing to the controls of my frankly magnificent time ship, would you even begin to understand?"

Leona clicked her tongue as she got up to her feet and her white skirts danced around her legs. "That's not very nice, Doctor."

"I suppose not." Mickey said softly, shaking his head.

"Well, shut it, then."

"Some friend you've got." Mickey said scoffing as he looked at Rose.

"He's winding you up. I am sorry." Rose said softly putting her hand on Mickey's shoulder.

"Okay."

"I am, though."

"Every day, I looked. On every street corner, wherever I went, looking for a blue box for a whole year."

"It's only been a few days for me. I don't know. It's, it's hard to tell inside this thing but I swear it's just a few days since I left you."

"Not enough time to miss me, then?"

"I did miss you."

"I missed you."

"So, er, in twelve months, have you been seeing anyone else?"

"No."

"Okay."

"Mainly because everyone thinks I murdered you."

"Right."

"So, now that you've come back, are you going to stay?"

"Got it! Ha, ha! Patched in the radar, looped it back twelve hours so we can follow the flight of that spaceship. Here we go. Hold on. Come on." The Doctor looked at the trajectory on the monitor.

Leona came over and pursed her lips together as her head tilted to the side.

"That's the spaceship on its way to Earth, see? Except. Hold on. See? The spaceship did a sling shot round the Earth before it landed."

"That is… rather odd." Leona said softly, shaking her head. She had never seen something like that ever in her life.

"What does that mean?" Rose questioned softly looking at the Doctor, her blonde brows furrowed in concern.

"It means it came from Earth in the first place. It went up and came back down. Whoever those aliens are, they haven't just arrived, they've been here for a while. The question is, what have they been doing?"

"Something rather naughty…" Leona said as she closed her eyes. "Could it be?"

DWDWDW

Leona sat on the chair watching Mickey and Rose channel-hopping on the scanner. Her hands waved in front of her as gold swirls went around her hands.

"How many channels do you get?" Mickey questioned as he looked over at the Doctor trying his best to ignore the fact that Leona was behind them with sparkling gold swirls around her hands.

"All the basic packages." The Doctor said, rolling his eyes as he worked.

"You get sports channels?"

"Yes, I get the football. Hold on, I know that lot."

"It is looking likely that the Government's bringing in alien specialists - those people who have devoted their lives to studying outer space."

"UNIT. United Nations Intelligence Taskforce. Good people."

"How do you know them?" Rose questioned as she looked over at the Doctor, her brows furrowing some.

"'Cos he's worked for them. Oh yeah, don't think I sat on my backside for twelve months, Doctor. I read up on you. You look deep enough on the Internet or in the history books, and there's his name, followed by a list of the dead." Mickey then turned to the young woman that had gold magic swirling around her hands. "Her, too."

"That's nice. Good boy, Ricky."

Leona looked over at Mickey. "I haven't done anything of the sort." She said getting up to her feet as the golden swirls disappeared around her.

"If you know them, why don't you go and help?"

"They wouldn't recognise me. I've changed a lot since the old days. Besides, the world's on a knife-edge. There's aliens out there and fake aliens. We want to keep this alien out of the mix. I'm going undercover. And er, I'd better keep the Tardis out of sight. Ricky, you've got a car. You can do some driving."

"Where to?"

"The roads are clearing. Let's go and have a look at that spaceship."

"Do you mind if I change real quick?" Leona questioned softly."

The Doctor turned and he grinned knowing that she needed to change.

"Go ahead."

DWDWDW

The four of them walked out of the Tardis once Leona had changed into a pair of jeans, a white tank top, and a jean jacket with some converse shoes. They stepped right into a helicopter spotlight.

"Do not move! Step away from the box and raise your hands above your heads."

Police cars and Saxon armoured personnel carriers surrounded them.

Mickey quickly turned and bolted leaving Leona, Rose, and the Doctor alone.

Jackie came out of the block of flats, her eyes wide. "Rose!"

Soldiers grabbed Jackie so she couldn't get any closer to Rose.

"Rose!"

"Raise your hands above your head. You are under arrest."

"Take me to your leader."

Leona shook her head lightly at what the Doctor said.

They were loaded into the back of the police car.

"This is a bit posh. If I knew it was going to be like this, being arrested, I would have done it years ago." Rose said, looking over at the Doctor and Leona.

Leona let out a soft laugh, her brown hair bounced some.

"We're not being arrested, we're being escorted." The Doctor said with a cheeky grin.

"Where to?"

"Where'd you think? Downing Street."

"You're kidding."

"He's not." Leona said with a small smile.

"10 Downing Street?"

"That's the one."

"Oh, my God. I'm going to 10 Downing Street? How come?"

"I hate to say it, but Mickey was right. Over the years I've visited this planet a lot of times, and I've been, er, noticed." The Doctor said with a soft laugh. "Leona's been noticed as well."

"But I wouldn't know." Leona said, looking over at the Doctor.

"Right…" The Doctor said, realizing that she was the youngest that he had ever seen her.

"Now they need you?" Rose questioned tilting her head to the side.

"Like it said on the news. They're gathering experts in alien knowledge. And who's the biggest expert of the lot?"

"Patrick Moore?"

"Apart from him."

"Oh, don't you just love it."

"I'm telling you. Lloyd George, he used to drink me under the table. Who's the Prime Minister now?"

"How should I know? I missed a year."

DWDWDW

They got out of the car as the cameras were in their faces.

"Oh, my God." Rose said softly as she looked around nervously.

Leona followed the Doctor slowly as Rose followed right behind them.

A woman came down the stairs and showed her id to an armed policeman. "Harriet Jones, MP Flydale North." She began to mingle with the UNIT officers and a large group of people in the room.

"Ladies and gentlemen, can we convene? Quick as we can, please. It's this way on the right, and can I remind you ID cards are to be worn at all times." He then handed one id to the Doctor and the other to Leona. "Here's your ID card. I'm sorry, your companion doesn't have clearance."

The Doctor looked at Ganesh. "I don't go anywhere without her."

"You're the code nine, not her. I'm sorry, Doctor. It is the Doctor, isn't it? She'll have to stay outside."

"She's staying with me."

"Look, even I don't have clearance to go in there. I can't let her in and that's a fact."

"It's all right. You go." Rose told the Doctor softly.

Harriet came up to the Doctor and Leona. "Excuse me. Are you the Doctor?"

"Sure."

"Not now. We're busy. Can't you go home?" Ganesh said, waving his hand.

"I just need a word in private."

"I suppose so. Don't get in any trouble." The Doctor said softly, offering his arm to Leona.

"You haven't got clearance. Now leave it. I'm going to have to leave you with security."

Leona followed the Doctor into the room and she sat next to him with her lips pursed together.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, if I could have your attention, please. As you can see from the summaries in front of you, the ship had one porcine occupant." Asquith explained to them.

"Of course, the really interesting bit happened three days ago, see, filed away under Any Other Business. The North Sea. A satellite detected a signal, a little blip of radiation, at one hundred fathoms, like there's something down there. You were just about to investigate and the next thing you know, this happens. Spaceships, pigs, massive diversion. From what?"

Leona nodded her head, having a strange feeling inside of her chest of what was going on, of why they were ordered to come here and not have Rose with them. Her brows furrowed together as she sat there next to the Doctor.

"This is all about us. Alien experts. The only people with knowledge how to fight them gathered together in one room."

Green suddenly farts.

"Excuse me, do you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?"

"Would you rather silent but deadly?"

Leona wrinkled her nose in distaste.

General Asquith removed his cap and then unzipped his forehead.

Green began to laugh as the room filled with blue light and an alien starts to wriggle out of the skin suit.

The aliens stand nearly eight feet tall with incongruous large black eyes in small baby faces.

"We are the Slitheen."

"Thank you all for wearing your ID cards. They'll help to identify the bodies." Green said as he held up a remote activation switch, and the id card emitted electric shocks to the wearers including the Doctor and Leona causing them to drop to the floor.
