It had been hours, and Robert, Holly, and JJ were right there by Jayne's bed. Ethan wanted to come but they asked him to wait. They were pushing it with three in the room. Fortunately, they knew some of the top doctors.

Robert looked over at JJ, watching him hold Jayne's hand and kiss her head. Everything he wished he could have given Holly in the eighties. "You know I'm very glad Jayne has you."

JJ looked over at Robert. "I would do anything for her, I mean it."

"I know how you feel, I would do anything for her too, and her mother and siblings. When I woke up from my coma and saw Holly there, I was floored. That's all I've ever wanted." Robert told them.

Flashback to shortly after Robert woke up

He was lying in bed, stroking Holly's hair as Holly listened to his heartbeat. "You did this often, didn't you?" He asked.

"Every chance I could. I dropped everything and got here as soon as Anna called." Holly told Robert, not lifting her head.

Robert was so touched, then again that's who they were. The two of them would always drop everything for each other. That would never change. "I love that about you."

Holly looked up as she heard him say love. She looked into his eyes. "I love you, Robert." The two of them kissed.

End of flashback

"I would do it again as I am sure both of you and Jayne would." Holly watched her daughters eyes flutter. "She looks so peaceful."

"She's always been gorgeous when she's sleeping, even more so when she is awake." JJ was so in love with her. He thought those feelings had passed, but they just grew.

"We've got a lot to make up for with her." Robert replied as he put his hand on Holly's, which was holding Jayne's other hand.

"I've never seen her so complete as this time. You two really helped give her what she was missing." JJ told them. "She was so embarrassed by where she came from, and I know she is still connected to that. However, she is just so proud of you two. She told me you were one of her best friends, Holly."

"Thank you. She is definitely one of mine as well. And you gave her that other piece." Holly told JJ. "You are as wonderful as your father was, honorable and kind."

"Mum?" Jayne whispered, hearing Holly's voice.

JJ, Holly, and Robert's attention went right to Jayne.

"I'm here, my darling." Holly beamed as she kissed Jayne's head.

Jayne opened her eyes and saw Robert. "Dad..." She looked over and saw JJ. "JJ...are you okay?" She asked him.

JJ grinned. Of course, she would be checking on him. "I'm fine, I was more worried about you?"

Jayne was groggy and confused. "Me?"

"They put you in a medically induced coma, just so the swelling would go down." Holly told Jayne, holding her hand tight.

Robert had his hand on theirs. "We are so happy you are awake. Your niece came and fixed your hair and nails."

Jayne smiled, loving that Emma did that. "That is so sweet."

The doctor came in to look at Jayne. Deciding that she could go home, as long as she took it easy.

"JJ, why don't you stay with us? You can help with Jayne until she is able to handle it herself." Holly suggested.

JJ looked at Jayne, wanting to hear what she had to say.

"I would really love that." Jayne told JJ.

"Let me let Gran know, and I'm there." JJ replied, happy they weren't going to be apart, and he would get to help with her.

"Sounds like a great plan." Robert replied. "I've gotta run back to work, Chase has been handling it, but I need to know things are going to stick."

"Go dad, make him pay." Jayne said as she carefully sat up in the bed. She hated hospitals and was more than ready to go back home.
