Celia immediately grabbed a hold of Sasha, wanting to protect her daughter in a way she hadn't been able to before thanks to this man. "Gregory, aren't you supposed to be rotting away in prison?" She asked him.
"Oh, I have been, but don't worry, I tried to make yours and Grant's life more and more complicated as I was." Gregory grinned as he looked at Sasha. "You must be Sasha."
"Don't speak to mine and Grant's daughter." Celia demanded. The part of her that was usually scared was just taken over by the need to protect her daughter.
"Does she know what a traitor her father is?" Gregory asked Celia before looking at Sasha again.
"I know exactly who my father was and how he protected people he loved. He may have started out as one of you, but he became a very honorable man. One that in the short time I knew him I will always love." Sasha realized Gregory was talking about Grant in present tense and did not want to blow that.
"He was a very good man and so proud of you." Celia told Sasha as she squeezed her arms, realizing what she did.
"He was a waste. In our home country, he would have been killed for his betrayal. He should have been." He looked back at Sasha. "You shouldn't even exist."
Celia was mad at that comment. The whole thing made her mad, but that last comment about Sasha was uncalled for. "I told you to NOT speak to my daughter."
Gregory grinned. He was getting to Celia. Good. "Why? You know she was being raised by someone very involved with the DVX until they left. It seems she's connected to nothing but traitors, oh, and someone who is spoiled."
Sasha wasn't going to take that. "My adoptive mother was smart enough to leave. My father was smart enough to value human life over the DVX. Tell me, what has being loyal to the DVX got you?"
"Power. I've damaged a lot of lives." Gregory didn't even hesitate. "That includes you two. Now I'm afraid it's going to come to an end, say hello in to Andre for me." Gregory took out his gun and aimed it towards Celia.
Multiple shots rang out.
