Robert found himself at work at the office the next day. Determined to take down the mob, he had realized that things on the Pikeman front had settled down since Valentin and Diane's arrests. If only they had with the mob threats. He was convinced more than ever it was Sonny.

He was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard a knock.

"Come in." Robert looked up. To his surprise, Robin walked in.

"Hi, dad." Robin went over to give Robert a hug.

"Hi babe." Robert's face lit up as he gave her a hug. "I wasn't expecting to see you."

Robin smiled. "Patrick and I have news. I can't share until mom, Duke, and Holly are around."

Jayne walked in. "Oh, I'm sorry."

"Don't be, I was actually hoping I would see you. How do you feel about lunch?" Robin asked Jayne. "You're more than welcome to join too, dad."

"I've actually got plans. A hot date." Robert's grin said everything.

Robin chuckled. "I'll get to know my little sister then."

Jayne smiled at Robin. "I would love that."

The two women left for Bobbie's while Robert finished up some work.

Bobbie's

Jayne and Robin had ordered their food and Robin was showing her pictures of Emma and Noah. "Noah has a lot of dad in him, Emma does too. They are both so smart and Patrick and I are so proud of them." Robin beamed as she talked about her children.

Jayne loved having her share pictures and stories. "They seem like a great kids. Can I ask you something?" She asked.

Robin nodded as she sat her phone down. "Anything."

"What were mum and dad like from your perspective? Was it nice when you got to visit them?" Jayne asked, curious about the life that was stolen from her.

Robin understood the question and nodded. "It was great. Dad and Holly always had fun things planned, but when we would be watching a movie and I would look over at them, they would be holding hands or leaning on each other. They didn't have to say it for you to know how in love they were. My mom and Duke are the same way. That's why I was so rude to Holly at first in 92."

Flashback February 14th, 1992, after Holly saved Robin

Robert got down into the elevator and reached up to help Holly. "I got you. You're safe." He calmly reassured her.

Holly hadn't felt as reassured in years. There was no one she believed in more than Robert. she let go and slid down into his arms.

Robert locked eyes with her as his arms pulled her into an embrace again.

Holly held him tight, understanding his need to hold her because she needed this too. She yearned for this.

Robin noticed this and spoke up. "Dad."

End of flashback

"I was immature but there was a lot going on." Robin admitted to Jayne.

Jayne had sadness in her eyes. She wanted more than anything to have been raised by them, but having them now meant everything to her. "I see that now. Sometimes we will watch a movie and the three of us will eat dinner together and they just seem so in love."

"It's a great feeling, I like to think I have that with Patrick." Robin was very proud of her happy marriage to Patrick, they had had their ups and downs but they were in the past. "Do you have anyone special?"

Robin asked this just as Jayne was taking a sip of her tea. She gulped and shook her head no.

"Didn't seem like a definite no." Robin grinned at her little sister.

"It's...it's complicated and not important." Jayne told Robin.

Robin shook her head. "Your feelings are always important. If you don't want to get into it that's fine but just know if you need an ear I'm here."

Jayne smiled and nodded, looking over to see Chase walk in.

Chase locked eyes with her and gave her a grin, walking over to the table. "Hello ladies."

"Hi Chase, do you know my sister Robin?" Jayne asked him.

"By name only, it's nice to meet you." Chase shook Robin's hand.

Robin could sense something between the two of them. "You too. Jayne could we finish this conversation later?" She wanted to give them a moment to talk.

"I guess so." Jayne was enjoying getting to know Robin more but knew she probably had lots of visits to make.

Robin left and Chase looked at Jayne who was still eating.

"Want some company?" He asked her.

Jayne smiled and nodded.

Robert's office

Robert was typing on his computer when he heard a tap on the door. "Come in."

Holly walked inside with a smile on her face. "You know I can hear you typing all the way from the entrance here."

Robert chuckled as he got up to go over and give Holly a kiss. "Very funny. I missed you."
