"It was about your daughter Jayne, the recruit." The officer started to say as Jayne walked up, hearing her name.

"What about me?" She asked, unsure of why she was being talked about.

Robert and Holly both breathed a sigh of relief, seeing she was safe.

"We got a tip that you have had dealings in the past that might make you not qualified to be a cop." The officer was telling them exactly what they had been told.

Jayne was caught off guard. "What? I mean, I'm related to cons, but I've never participated in them willingly. I was a lawyer before this."

"Who the hell even called that tip in?" Robert asked, Holly and Robert both knew of Jayne's past. They spoke about it often.

"They didn't leave a name." The officer handed him the full message before leaving, not wanting to take the heat for what it said.

Robert looked it over, seeing what they were accusing Jayne of. He couldn't believe it, actually he didn't. He showed it to Holly.

"This is ridiculous." Holly was mad, she wanted to know who was doing this.

"Can you two clue me in please?" Jayne asked, curious to know what had them both so upset.

"They're accusing you of conning detectives to help you get ahead." Robert crumpled the note up and threw it in the trash can.

"What?" Jayne was confused, who would even say that. "I mean, I'm friendly with Chase and Dante, but that's all." She felt the need to admit that she had had lunch with Chase. "Chase did end up having lunch with me when Robin realized she had something to do."

"There's nothing wrong with you having lunch with Chase." Robert reassured her. He was feeling very protective of his younger daughter right now.

Jayne didn't feel the need to admit her feelings for Chase, she wasn't going to do anything about them and she thought it would just cause more harm than good.

Holly knew how Jayne felt she reached over and took her hand. "We will get this straightened out. I'm sorry we found you just to have you thrown into this."

Jayne shook her head. "Please don't ever apologize. I didn't have a family besides Barry before you two. I wouldn't trade you all for anything."

Holly gave her a hug and Robert joined in.

"I will do whatever I have to to protect my girls, my whole family." Robert tried to reassure them both.
