When Robert got finished, Holly decided to go freshen up too. Robert sat down with his daughter, this was the first time they would really get to bond since finding everything out.
"Did you have a nice talk with your mum?" Robert asked Sasha, not really knowing where exactly to start.
Sasha smiled brightly at her father and nodded. "I did, for the first time in years. She seems so happy now and I think I have you to thank for that. There were times when I was little she seemed happy too but always guarded."
Robert nodded, he knew why Holly was keeping it a secret, after being kidnapped multiple times and targeted over the years of course she wanted to protect their daughter. "You know she lights up when she talk about you too. When she tells me stories about you when your were younger."
"She does?" Sasha loved hearing that, she really did love her mother despite everything.
"Yes, I actually suggested she stay back and she said no. She told you she would be here and she wouldn't let you down anymore." Robert told Sasha.
Sasha loved hearing that. "You know this has all been such a whirlwind, I feel like we've barely got to know each other."
"We will change that. Like I told you, I'm lucky to have you as a daughter and I'm even luckier to have another grandchild on the way." Robert couldn't wait to meet his newest grandchild.
"I'm glad they will always know you as her grandpa." Sasha told Robert as she took his hand so he could feel the baby kick.
Robert's eyes lit up feeling the little one kick again. "I think they are as glad about that as I am. I'm also glad I get to know you."
Sasha let go of Robert's hand. "So am I. I meant what I said, I always wanted a father. My mother told me I had the best."
Robert knew that Holly didn't say much about him because she thought she was protecting Sasha but he still loved that she always told their daughter what a good father he was. "I am glad she was able to tell you that."
"I am too, I've heard so many stories about how great you are too. Mainly from Felicia and Emma. You know what though? I didn't need those stories. The way you were right away with me, I know you are a wonderful father and I am very lucky that you are mine." Sasha told Robert.
Robert beamed with pride. "I wanted to make sure you knew that I was there for you but wouldn't push. I still won't push."
"Robert, it's okay to be my father. I'm not going to shut you out. I don't plan on shutting mother out either." Sasha wanted this new start with her parents.
Robert wasn't sure how this was going to go over but he had to say something. "As your father I have to tell you that you need to give Sidwell his money back."
