Azur Heroes
Chapter 23
Time for a rainbow shortcut to ass whooping land. Sorry, been watching some of The Fat Electrician videos. But that's roughly what's about to happen to Chisaki and the rest as I get Izuku and the fleet back to Moncal base. And it's not going to be pretty. For them. Also we'll be getting some changes with his girls. On with the show.
(No POV)
Izuku groaned as they were finally making it back to Japan. "Finally home. It's been a draining two and a half weeks," he says while rolling his shoulder slightly. Kii agreed as she brought him a cup of coffee and some mochi. "How do you think I feel? Urp." Melissa said while leaning on the rail of the ship.
For some reason, she was not as acclimated to riding on the seas as most commanders had been. "Wonder if it's because of all the Siren tech they implanted in you. Could be the big part of the problem. I never see them on the ground, and even at sea they tend to float above it." Izuku started before mumbling possibilities out loud.
Melissa just gave him a half-hearted glare while trying to keep her stomach contents from coming up. "Peace my lady. Perhaps a drink of this will help." St Louis said before gently handing the girl a cup of peppermint tea. She thanks the loyal knight of the sea and accepts the cup. While also thinking on a bit of a problem that she and the rest of her ships realized right as they were leaving.
(Flashback)
"You don't know how to form your ships?" Melissa and the commanders asked incredulously. Georgia, Neptune, Hakryuu, and St Louis all blushed and looked at the ground. "Uh, no. Sorry ma'am. But the fact is, we uh…. Never got past the drawing boards. We don't exactly know how our hulls would be set up or what would all be within them." Georgia admitted.
She even dismissed her rig, but all it did was float above the ocean as a bunch of lights. Before returning to her back and reforming. "I suppose we should have expected that. If they only existed as plans or theories dreamt up by designers, then they wouldn't know what their hulls exactly feel like in the sea." Miller thought with a tilt of his head.
Kotov curses before saying, "sadly, it'll probably be something that they'll have to figure out on their own." Melissa looks at him funny while the others give him a side eyed look. "Look we can't hold her hand through all of this. And besides, none of us know where to start."
"I think the best option would be for her and the others to listen to their cubes. And hope they'll guide them to answers about their being." Yorktown says with a gentle smile directed at the unusual group of girls. A few of whom blushed and thanked the legendary lady of the USA.
Izuku smiled before agreeing with Yorktown. "You'll have to stay at my base for a little while as is. Maybe we can figure things out during that time," he said with an extended hand toward Melissa. Who returned his smile and shook his hand before asking which ship they were getting on.
(Flashback end)
"I still find that hard to believe. But we'll figure it out in time." Izuku says as Melissa leans back and her stomach steadies. He chuckles again while looking forward to being back home. Only to see two things that made him uneasy as they came towards Tokyo Bay.
The first was the sign of a few pillars of smoke coming from Moncal base. And the second was a few important ships coming towards the rest of the fleet. Namely Yuudachi and Kongo. The former seemed distressed as she barreled towards Kii and then made her ship into rigging. "Izuku! They…. They took her!" Yuudachi wailed while gripping Izuku's uniform.
Izuku was confused until he really thought about who was reporting the matter. "Eri. Who did it? Yuudachi?" Izuku asked while trying to console the dog like girl. "We don't know exactly sir. They hit the base while all of we ships were out on maneuvers and patrols. We lost a number of good men." Kongo explained with a saddened look. One Izuku mirrors until she reports the next matter. "Izuku….. they took your mother as well."
The young commander was stunned at first, tightening his grip on Yuudachi's clothes. And then his look of sadness turned into a face of rage. He let go with his right and quickly turned it into his triple battleship cannons. "Where are they? And how many can I turn into red mist?" he asked with venom and vengeance.
Melissa and her girls were a little uneasy hearing that out of Izuku. But they were in turn intimidated by Kii's aura of anger as she stepped forward. "Leave a few for me sir. I'm sure I can cut through quite a few of them," she said while brandishing her sword. And they weren't the only ones who were letting off intimidating energies.
Georgia turned out to see and could feel a kind of bloodlust coming from Ayanami and Kawakaze's ships. But it was nothing compared to Kinu's. Who had a dark blue demon like aura emanating from her ship. "Okay….. This is going to be ugly isn't it," she said with a gulp and a stiffening of her back.
Izuku just gave her a glare as his eyes flashed blue green and pointed his arm in her direction. But not one to be fully intimidated, Georgia brought all of her own cannons to bear at Izuku. This was when Kongo and Melissa stepped in to calm the situation.
"Easy Georgia. Look he's got a right to be angry about what happened. Especially since it's his mom involved." Melissa said while putting a gentle hand on the battleship's arm. Kongo said much the same with, "Izuku. They are not the enemy. They are inland."
The PR ship lowered her guns first; while Izuku needed a moment to calm down enough and turn his arm back to normal. He let out a breath before patting Yuudachi on the head a few times. Both to calm her down and to calm himself down. "Once we get into port, we'll get what info we can from the soldiers on base," he says with finality.
As for the heroes who had been on board, many of them had felt the intimidation waves coming from Izuku's various girls and reacted in their own ways. Jiro and most of the other hero students backed away from Ayanami as she seemed to be raging. Koda was the exception as he had wet himself due to the aura Kinu was exuding. All Might and Nezu meanwhile had shivers going down their back after feeling the burning anger from Kii. Even though they were on board the Katsuragi. Mic and Edgeshot meanwhile were chilled by the cold glare that Kirishima was giving the sea as she drew her katana. "I don't think I want to know what's got them on edge." All Might said with a waver to his voice that he would often only have when talking to Gran Torino.
Once back in port, they could see some of what made the various kansen angry. Especially once Izuku started questioning some of the survivors of the attack. "One of the guys had a seriously powerful fire quirk. Blue flames that melted a number of things. I think there was a girl with them. No there were two, or at least the one identified that way. Anyway, one was a young girl who used knives to cut up a bunch of men and women. And the other had a big magnet or something. Then there were those two big bruisers. And some guy with a shield or barrier?"
"They didn't happen to be wearing beaked masks were they?" Yuudachi asked with her nails digging into her palm. "Now that you mention it, I think there were a few wearing those," one soldier says. It's then that Yuudachi really starts snarling like a rabid dog. "I should have done more than rip out that bastard's eye!" she growled before Izuku confirmed that they were dealing with her former Yakuza allies.
Nezu nodded and said, "it seems like you'll have to wait a bit. After all, this is a delicate matter. We can't have you-" He's cut off by Izuku punching part of a wall down with his right fist. "Like Hell I'm just waiting. I think it's time I show these Yakuza bastards what happens when you piss off a shipgirl commander. Especially one trained by an angry American." Izuku snarls himself before telling Kii to gather the girls.
All Might and Nezu look ready to step in and stop him, but the former pauses as he sees the look in Izuku's eyes. "We won't stop him. Even if we did, he'd find away around it and still go after them," he warns Nezu and the other heroes. "Not like I blame him. They did kidnap his mother after all." Nejire says with sympathy directed Izuku's way.
As Izuku was making his way to the meeting hall, he got a call on his phone. It was John calling for some reason. "What?" Izuku asked tersely. "Good day to you too kid. Who shit in your corn flakes?" Kotov asked with a groan. Once the man was given the explanation of what happened though, his mentor was quick to change his tune.
"How many B-17s do you want to unload on them. Or I could have Jersey and Yorky 2 unload on them." Kotov said with a growl of his own. Izuku stopped though after hearing the name that John had used. "Yorky 2? What's that about?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
You can almost hear the gears in Kotov's head grind before he stops and says, "oh right! That's what I was calling to warn you about. Be careful with those cubes we got from that weird Enterprise or Code G whatever. Damn thing not only exploded on me, but it did some crazy stuff to the girls over here."
Kotov explained that he'd been looking over the purple cube in his office after he'd returned to Botwa. Only for it to start glowing before exploding with enough force to send him through a wall. "I'm lucky I'm as sturdy as I am. But the crazy thing was, some of the girls had weird things happen to them after the it exploded. In Yorktown's case well…. She's not a Yorktown class anymore. She's become her Essex class self…. Somehow."
"You're shitting me." Izuku said in amazement. His mentor reiterated what had indeed happened. And the fact it hadn't happened to just his girls. "Apparently the wave that it sent out got to a number of bases and fleets. And I've heard a bunch of reports from the other commanders."
He noted that there was another Laffey now, stationed on the east coast and she was a Allen B. Sumner class ship. She was at Norfolk, the rest of the Colorado class while Colorado and Long Island had been upgraded. Eldridge in Pearl Harbor had gained a whole new appearance and capabilities. Same for Cassin, Downes, and Helena between the two fleets. A new Hammann appeared in Washington alongside upgrades for Saratoga, and Portland. In Texas, Nicholas had changed into a new form and there were new arrivals: USS Indiana, as well as Fargo and Pittsburgh.
"I'm lost on how this is a bad thing?" Izuku asked while excited to see what he could do for his own fleets as well as Himori's. 'Not to mention it might do something for Melissa if we're lucky,' he thought while also considering what it could do for his arm. "I didn't say it was a bad thing. I just wanted to warn you that you'll want to take cover once you decide to use it. And expect a bunch more upgrades and the like."
Izuku gave his mentor a flat look before groaning and hanging up. He pulled out the cube that Code G had given him. Gripping it tight with his right hand. Trying to envision a ship that could help him in taking down the Yakuza. But the cube didn't start glowing. It just had the same purple hue as it always did.
The green haired young man growled before putting the cube away and making his way to the meeting room. There, Kii had already gotten the ships focused along with Nagato. Having Yuudachi explain about each of the members of the Yakuza that she knew. Before noting that they would be going after the Shie Hissaki to get back Eri and Inko. "And we'll show them why you don't mess with a military family. Commander any suggestions?"
"Huh? Oh sorry. I uh… I have my mind on something else." His ships gave him an annoyed look before both Kii and Kawakaze asked him what was going on. "A shimmering light of possibility. Barred by a will distracted. Hope springs from remembrance of center. Burning blades of purple and new might unbound." Shinano says while dozing in her chair.
The entire fleet looks at her with confusion before focusing back on Izuku. "What's got you distracted? What could be more important than trying to get Eri and your mom back?!" Yuudachi asked with growls and a few barks.
The young commander grumbles before pulling out the cube he got from Code G again. And then explained what Kotov had told him. "If he's right, then maybe I can get some serious firepower to teach these assholes a lesson. But it's not working. Not like all the other times I've used cubes." Izuku said in frustration.
Akashi stepped up and looked over the cube, but she had no idea on what to do either. "It's mysterious nya. I've never seen a cube like this nya," she said while batting at it gently. Kawakaze looked at it and remembered when Code G had appeared. "We still don't know much about her. Are we sure we should trust this?" she asked with some unease.
"Maybe. Maybe not. But it could seriously give us a power boost to deal with the Sirens again. Not to mention the traitors, the Yakuza, and maybe command will be less frustrating at times and….. why do I feel like I'm wandering around in my thoughts."
"Uh because you are." Melissa said from the doorway to the conference room. Before she was asked, she admitted to having been around for the whole conversation. "Including the butterfly fox woman's whole spiel. I think I can see the problem," she says with a gentle look directed at Izuku.
She noted that he'd had so much thrust on him so quickly and even with his success, he was still under constant pressure and scrutiny. "And now you return home after a near impossible mission, and you find out your mother and sister have been kidnapped. Its no wonder your mind is going every direction." Izuku looked down at the cube again and as he tried to focus on it, he could still feel his mind swirling with all kinds of thoughts and ideas.
That was until Melissa gestured to Kawakaze and Kii. Winking at the former to hug Izuku and miming for the latter to do the same. Kii smiled slightly before hugging Izuku from behind. And while mostly embarrassing because her large breasts were resting atop his head, it had a similar effect to the first time he'd tried to intentionally summon more shipgirls. Calming his unease.
And it was compounded by Kawakaze hugging Izuku from the side. She would always be one to admit she was prickly and sometimes short with Izuku at first. But after seeing how he'd grown as a commander, her respect had grown rapidly. Especially during the mission to rescue the captives on I Island. So while not quite ready to admit anything, she tried to convey her affection for her commander as she held him.
Though he didn't fully get it, Izuku could feel himself relaxing even more as his mind drifted slightly into steadier thoughts. The main of which being what he really wanted to summon more ships for. 'Its not just about having more firepower. Not about trying to take out my or anyone else's enemies. It's about saving people. That was why or how I summoned Kii first. But somewhere along the way I forgot. No. I just got caught up in needing to prove myself.' Izuku thinks before his right hand grips the cube a little tighter.
It then starts to glow brighter and brighter, even causing a change to Izuku's arm. Once he finally realizes the matter, Izuku curses and tosses the cube as it starts to explode. The shockwave sent him and the other girls back, as well as just demolishing most of the conference room.
"Forgot about that part. And he even warned me." Izuku says with a cough. Though not before breathing deep the scent of Kii's chest. Given she covered him as the cube was exploding. As he was being helped up though, he saw that Yuudachi was changing. She seemed to be growing slightly and was snarling a bit as she gained a bit of height and extra guns behind and around her.
That included the sharpened nails on her hands and the very large claw sections in her rig. She lets out a few strained breaths before reeling back and letting out a loud howl. The vision of a wolf behind her as she lets it out. "Whoa. That… was intense. But felt so damn good~." Yuudachi says with a predatory glint in her eyes directed Izuku's way.
'Why do I feel like I'm in danger now?' Izuku thinks to himself before the light seems to coalesce into a burning purple flame in the center of the room. And from within those flames, two massive mechanical arms with a spectral purple katana appeared. Atop those arms were cannons larger than any else in the fleet, and the woman within was just as large.
She was a kitsune much like Shinano and Kii, with a black and purple mini skirted low-necked kimono, a nodachi almost equal to her own impressive height and three more swords at her side. Beneath her long black hair, a pair of yellow eyes gently gazed down at Izuku. The fox-like whisker marks on her face twitching slightly as she smiled.
The very tall battleship woman sauntered over to Izuku before leaning down to gently cup his face. "I am the Yamato-class battleship, Musashi. If it is my acknowledgment you seek, then quell the storms that rage across these seas with your magnificence. Hm? With a fleet as mighty as yours, even a weakling would find that task trivial," the now named Musashi says with a slightly coy look in her eyes.
At least until she sees Izuku's metal arm and her look shifts to one of comfort. Which happens to involve the boy being pressed deep into her cleavage. "You have suffered greatly it seems. If you're ever afraid, you can rest here until you feel safe," the battleship said in a comforting tone.
However, this was disrupted by two things. First would be Kawakaze and Kii looking annoyed and trying to pull Izuku out of her chest. And the second would be that Izuku himself was having trouble breathing while trapped between her prodigious bosoms. "Let…. Me….. out!" Izuku mumbled from his position.
And when he did, something happened with his prosthetic. Or rather it happened around his arm. A large mechanical apparatus of his own appeared behind the boy and it proceeded to push Musashi back slightly. Not violently, but enough to allow Izuku to breathe and take stock of this new state.
"It seems as though you have been influenced by me somewhat commander-chan. And it is quite impressive." Musashi says while looking at the large green lightning spouting structure behind Izuku. The boy is shocked by this and can only wonder what else has come from him activating the cube. As sparks from Fodo base started and changes happened with the fleet. Not to mention Melissa felt some painful changes to his limbs as well as some new arrivals appearing before her. And the biggest sparks would come from across the sea and into China. Where a few of the survivors had been hiding.
I'm willing to bet you all were expecting that. And while there have been plenty who given me flak for giving Izuku UR ships, I'm not gonna stop with it. Especially in this case where she's giving him something of an upgrade. As well as a different factor for later. Don't worry, the ass kicking for Overhaul and his crew will be coming up. It's just that now, Izuku's going to be even more on the front lines of it than before. And also giving some hope to the ones in China. Please review!
