A/N: Here is Chapter 18 and welcome to our very first arc for Poké Rangers Time Force! I think the last time I wrote a multi-part chapter was the very beginning of the series. So, without further to do, let's go and have some fun. This chapter is shorter than others because it just goes right into it. Without further ado, enjoy!
It was a long day at Capone's Lair for the crew. Capone turned around as he was yawning, placing his cigar in the trash. He turned around as he looked at Persira, who was tired after counting all the money that was collected from the last crime. Persira looked at Capone as he went to get up from his chair, brushing off things as he turned around to look at Satfrax and Cyrus, "Tomorrow is another day."
"But… aren't we going away?" she asked.
"Ah, yes. That's right," Capone said, turning to Satfrax, who was just looking at the screens, "Satfrax and Cyrus…"
Cyrus looked up as he turned to Satfrax. Satfrax grinned as he turned around to look at him, "Yes?"
"Whatever you do… don't release anybody until I get back. I am at a good spot right now. Even though the rangers froze more criminals, the rangers don't know what I have in store, and I need the money," Capone said, turning around, "Right, Persira?"
Persira nodded as she turned to them, specifically Satfrax, "I'm not worried about Cyrus, but I am worried about you. Don't do anything stupid."
Satfrax grinned as he turned around to look at them, "No worries."
Persira turned around as she looked at Capone. Capone nodded as the two headed up the stairs, closing the door behind him. Cyrus turned around as he looked at Satfrax. Satfrax grinned as he turned around to speak to Cyrus, "It seems we have time to play."
"I guess we do," said Cyrus, grinning, "What have you learned about the jewels?"
Satfrax grinned as he walked over to the computer that was on the corner. Cyrus hovered as he looked at the screen. A mysterious shadow appeared on the screen as Satfrax and Cyrus sat down to listen to him. He was behind in a purple background with red glaring eyes, looking at them.
"Hello sir!" said Satfrax, grinning, "How are you?"
"It's been a while… trapped in my own dimension. Are they gone?"
"Yeah," said Satfrax, turning to Cyrus. Cyrus nodded as he reached over looking at the screen, "We need to ask you about a certain question."
"And what's that?"
Satfrax and Cyrus revealed certain types of gems that were found from Kommodile's heist and organized crime scheme. Cyrus looked at him as he went to speak, "Do these gems ring a bell?"
"Where did you get those?"
"We found them in a heist box from one our criminals," Cyrus said, showing more data on the other side of the screen, "Apparently, they match the same item that was destroyed when the Dino Charge Rangers faced you."
There was silence on the other side of the screen. Satfrax grinned as he turned around, "Well, at least we don't have to resurrect it on our own?"
"What do you mean?"
"Apparently, after you were defeated… there was a lab that was able to trace those fragments. A certain scientist was able to put them in jewels and now they are going to create their own thing. It was in the papers. Something about interdimensional travel and using new technology for something," said Cyrus, "It was confidential."
"Cyrus, Satfrax… find out who's doing this. If I want to come back, I need that item."
"You got it," said Cyrus.
As the communication terminated, Cyrus went to get up as he walked toward the cabinet, getting a prisoner. Satfrax looked up as he went to talk to Cyrus, "Cyrus, we can't take prisoners!"
"To hell with Capone's orders… we got our own," said Cyrus, grinning. He picked up a criminal capsule as he walked toward the decompression chamber, "You all taught me we can commit crimes with destruction. Maxie and Archie did, so why can't I?"
Go over time and space…

Chapter 18: Shadow Force Part 1
It was a beautiful day at Sunyshore Lighthouse for the rangers as they were packing their backpacks. They were heading out toward Valor Lakefront for peace and relaxation. It was a tough couple weeks with everything going on between arresting Capone's criminals and they just needed time away. Outside, Xavier opened the trunks as Setsuna was moving the bags down into the trunk. She looked up as Xavier yawned, "I'm so tired."
"Me too," she said, "I stayed up packing all night for a week's vacation. I just hope we don't have to do anything… like save the world?"
"Yeah," said Xavier, "I need a break from crime stopping and criminal craziness."
As he threw his stuff in the car. He turned around as he went to grab the rest of the belongings. Within minutes, everything was loaded in the car. The rangers were that quick to load what they needed, seeing they wanted to be off the grid for a while. As the rangers went down the stairs, Xavier went to get in the car, only to see someone in a white suit and tie walk toward him. He had an ID Badge and glasses. It was obvious he was here to see the business. He had black hair and silver tips with sapphire eyes.
"Excuse me? Is this the independently owned business where technology, deliveries and detective work exist?"
"Yes, but we are closed. We're going on vacation," said Setsuna, "You would have to wait until next week."
"I'm afraid this delivery can't wait until next week," he said, picking up a white box with a chain attached to it, "I need someone to escort me to Valor Laboratory."
"Valor Laboratory? One of the top science labs in the world?" asked Xavier, looking at the scientist.
"Yes," said the scientist, "And it's very important."
Xavier sighed as he looked at the rangers, "Do we have enough room?"
Stacy sighed as she looked at the car. She rolled her eyes as she turned to the rangers, "Nope."
Xavier turned to the scientist. He looked at him as he turned to the scientist. The scientist grinned as he turned around, "I'll pay gas money."
"And fees…," said Xavier, opening the door. As the rangers all squished together with the scientist, the door closed as the rangers began to leave Sunyshore City. As the rangers were all crammed together, Mason looked at Xavier as he pinned to the window, "This better not take too long."
"Oh, believe me, it's escorting the scientist and get out… easy peasy," said Xavier.
"Sorry to ruin your vacation," he said.
The rangers darted their eyes as Xavier floored the gas pedal, leaving the city. The rangers and the scientist flew backwards due to the force as Xavier decided to get this done and over with.
Valor Labs…
An hour and a half passed as Xavier drove past trainers walking on Route 222. As the car slowed down, Xavier noticed the fork in the road as he drifted right, heading toward Lake Valor. As he merged with getting to Valor Lakefront, he continued driving as there were some signs to get on. As he made a few turns, the rangers looked at the white laboratory that said Valor Labs in blue letters. As they arrived at the gate, the security guard stopped them. The scientist raised his badge. The gate opened slowly as Xavier drove the car down to the garage. Driving down a ramp, they managed to see the gate as parking spots were available. Pulling into one, Xavier grinned as he got out of the car with the scientist. The rangers sighed in relief as they went to rearrange their seats. Xavier turned around as he looked at Setsuna, "You can take the car out. I'll be right back."
Setsuna nodded as she got into the driver's seat. Driving out of the garage, Xavier nodded as he turned around to look at the scientist. The scientist nodded as he headed into the elevator. The elevator opened as he crossed into the room, "Thank you. I'll send you the invoice."
Xavier nodded, "Have a great day… here's the address."
He placed the business card in the scientist's pocket. Luckily, the address was a PO Box and not the actual lighthouse. As the door closed, Xavier walked over as he headed toward the garage exit. He shook his head as he was walking up the ramp. As he was walking up the ramp to see the gate, the garage door started to go down. Quickly, Xavier started dashing toward the garage door, only to see that the garage door slammed in front of him.
"Damn," he said.
Suddenly, the alarms sounded around the garage. Blue lights surrounded the area as he turned around, hearing the announcement: Attention Staff, Valor Labs is on Lockdown.
"I need to get out of here," said Xavier, trying to find another exit.
Outside…
"You need to leave," the security officer stated, looking at Setsuna. Setsuna turned around as she also heard the alarms in the background, "What's going on?"
"We're on lockdown," he said.
"Our friend is there!" said Setsuna, pointing to the garage, "He's supposed to be going out of the garage."
"No one's allowed in… but you need to leave," he said.
Setsuna sighed, turning around as she got in the car. Pressing the gas pedal, the car headed out toward the gate. As they turned right, the bushes covered the car as the gates slowly closed, hearing the locking mechanism from the gate. The alarms were going off continuously as Setsuna turned to the others. Mason turned to Setsuna, "So, what's going on?"
"There's a lockdown apparently?" asked Setsuna.
"Great. Someone's experimenting with something," said Carl.
"How do we get Xavier out though?" asked Stacy.
"We need to stay until the lockdown's lifted," Mason replied. Stacy looked at Mason angrily, "Oh no… that could take hours."
Setsuna sighed as she turned around looking at them and then at his morpher. To have a lockdown as soon as the scientist got inside was very shady. She turned around as she looked at the other rangers, "I'm wondering…"
"Wondering what?" asked Carl.
"If it was a setup for the scientist… because that box had something really good inside," said Setsuna.
"Who was the scientist?" asked Stacy, "I have yet to look at the badge."
Inside the lab…
Xavier walked around as he was looking to find the nearest exit. All the normal places were sealed shut with wall barriers. He turned around as he went to look at the cars that were in the area. It seemed that there was no way to get out of there. He turned around as he heard a loud beeping sound.
"Attention, scientists of Valor Laboratory. My name is Cyrus and this guy is Armored Beast Chompertron. We are in lockdown until further notice. You may heard of me, but I am also the former lead of Team Galactic. I will be happy to lift it… only if my demands are my met. I will keep you informed."
As the announcement ended with a click, Xavier quickly reached for his Chrono Morpher. Pressing the button, he reached to talk, "Setsuna, come in…."
"What's going on?" Setsuna asked over the intercom.
"The lab is on lockdown. Why I don't know…," he said, "Cyrus is here."
"Did you say Cyrus?" asked Carl, looking over. Xavier nodded, "Yeah, he's here for a-."
He stopped as he heard tons of footsteps. Looking up, he turned around as he went to go behind a wall. He looked over to see the Centuroids, breaking glass, looking into cars. Xavier gulped as he turned around, looking at his Chrono Morpher, "Got to go."
As he turned it off, he looked around as he looked at the garage. Stretching his head, the Centuroid must've heard him. Golden beams struck the wall as Xavier performed a shoulder roll, going under a car. A flash of blue light surrounded him as he transformed into his suit, "Vector Hurley!"
A blast of blue energy struck the Centuroids. As the Centuroids landed on the ground, Xavier jumped up on the cars as he slashed them with his Vector Lance. Slashing the Centuroids, Xavier spun around as he slashed another one. As all of them fell, Xavier turned around as he looked around, noticing nothing was around him. Taking a deep breath, he pressed a button on Chrono Morpher. His suit disappeared as he looked at the elevator. He knew taking it would cause him to have a welcome party. He looked over, noticing a white ventilation door. He nodded as he dashed over to the vent. Taking his Vector Saber, he opened a corner carefully as he broke the vent open. Climbing in, he fixed the vent and started climbing up the vent system, "Sorry, guys… Centuroids were here. I'm putting my morpher on mute…"
"Got it," said Setsuna, "We'll put ours on too…"
The Chrono Morphers have a two-way mute system so that way people can retrieve information. It was something learned when used for hostage situations. At least that's what the rangers learned from Setsuna. As Xavier was climbing up the vent, he was able to hear some noises. As he climbed through the vent, he heard the voices getting louder. He reached for his Chrono Morpher as he overheard. He was also able to identify what was going on. About thirty people were held by gunpoint and Pokémon were also held. Cyrus grinned as he walking around with Chompertron. He was more ferocious than the other criminals they faced. He was a Garchomp with two silver diagonal sashes that were steel. He had golden spikes diagonally across his body.
"So," he said, "I know you guys collected fragments from when the Dino Charge Rangers defeated Gircannon. Or at least air particles that made it here. With the rubies found in Veilstone City, who can make me the new version of the Ruby Chain?"
Xavier froze when he heard about this. He has heard about the Red Chain, but never about the Ruby Chain. As he turned around, he went to hear more. The hostages were all worried. Chompertron turned around as he used a black and blue automatic weapon directly at the vent. Xavier ducked as he quickly headed for the deeper end. The trigger pulled as the vent exploded. What was left was a smoky, dented vent with flames and smoke coming out of it.
"Now, who is going to help me make it?" asked Cyrus, looking at the two scientists. One of the scientists Xavier knew already. He had the case. Grabbing him, Cyrus withdrew his pistol and aimed it at him, "Move."
Xavier watched the whole thing as he turned around. He knew that he had to get into security. As he looked at the sign, trying not to get caught, he was able to figure out the map. He had to open the garage and gates, just for the rangers to get in. He turned around as he headed through the vent. Climbing up again, he crawled toward the vent that he thought was security. He stopped as he turned around to look at his morpher, unmuting it, "Did you hear that?"
"I already sent the message to Hoot… where are you?" asked Carl.
"Getting to the security office. I am going to open that door and get out of here," he said.
"Please be careful," Setsuna replied. Turning off the communications, Xavier continued to go through the vents.
Meanwhile…
"Jeez," said Mason, looking at the rangers, "You would think we can avoid these things…"
Stacy sighed as she turned to Mason, "I wanted ONE… ONE week without a Capone issued incident."
"It's not a Capone thing, it's a Cyrus thing," Carl said. The rangers turned around as Carl went to continue, "Think about it, if it's been a crime committed, it was mainly Capone and Persira. Cyrus and Satfrax? I had a feeling it was only a matter of time."
"How so? They all work together," said Setsuna, looking at Carl. Carl chuckled, "Intuition. Cyrus is going to do whatever it takes to bring Team Galactic back. He's just there with Capone as a pawn."
"So… I guess he waited for the opportune moment," said Mason, turning around to the labs.
As the rangers went to look, the Chrono Morphers went off, except for Xavier's. The rangers went to look as Hoot's image appeared.
"So, here's what I learned about the Ruby Chain… based off of what happened. I'll give you the full explanation when all of this is done, but basically the Ruby Chain is the spinoff to the original Red Chain."
"So, what does the Red Chain do?" asked Stacy.
"Simple. Open dimensions," said Hoot, "Specifically, dimensions between our world. With the Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb and Gregious Orb, all of that is connected to the Red Chain."
"The Ruby Chain… wasn't that used to release a dimensional thing with a being named Gircannon?" asked Mason.
The rangers turned around as Mason looked at him. Setsuna looked at him with a death glare, "You've heard of him?"
"He tried to destroy the world before. The Dino Charge Rangers destroyed the Ruby Chain and sealed Gircannon away forever… supposedly. But, now that we know about the Ruby Chain…"
"Look," said Hoot, interrupting, "We can have a discussion about this later. Right now, we need to release the hostages. Luckily, the Ruby Chain is still in early stages. Someone must've collected the fragments from that battle to start recreating it."
"We can't have that chain built," said Setsuna, turning to the rangers, getting out of the car, "Let's go!"
The rangers nodded as they headed out of the car. The four rangers turned around as they dashed toward the gate. Hiding, the rangers nodded as they all sat down together. Setsuna reached for her Chrono Morpher, "How you doin'?"
Inside…
Xavier kicked the vent down as he slipped down, landing on the ground. As he landed on two feet, he dashed over as he was looking at the security room. Opening the door, two Centuroids turned around. Xavier pulled out his Time Blaster, shooting both grunts. As they landed on the ground, he looked at the security cameras for the room.
"It looks like there are 20-30 people held hostage. The scientist is working on the chain it looks like. Cyrus is really looking into it," he said.
As he went to press a few buttons, he noticed the screen. The screen turned on the gate as he pressed a button to open it. Pressing the green button on the screen, the door began to slowly open. Xavier turned around as he looked to see the main gate open, "Alright, team… the gate is open."
Outside…
The gate slowly opened as the rangers were dashing toward the front entrance. As they entered, one of the security guards walked over toward them. As he revealed to be a Centuroid, Stacy pulled out her blaster, shooting the security guard. The four rangers stood together as they formed an X with their arms, "Time for… Time Force!"
Pressing the button, a red and white Poké Ball was flashing on the morpher as blue lights began to swirl. The rangers jumped up as they transformed into their suits. In a four-way split screen, the rangers transformed into their suits. The four rangers landed on the pavement.
"Chrono Access!"
The rangers pressed the buttons as their Vortex Weapons appeared. Grabbing them, Carl knelt as he looked at the building, "Chrono Analysis!"
Using his helmet, he was scanning as he began to look at the situation. He turned around as Xavier pressed a few buttons in the security room. Looking up, he started dashing toward the garage. He must've pressed the button to open the garage. However, the main room had two scientists working with Cyrus aiming his weapon at them. The other hostages were held by Chompertron. He turned to the others as he turned off the search in his visor, "It's heavily guarded."
"Hey guys," said Xavier, over the intercom, "The garage is open."
Setsuna nodded, seeing the garage door. The rangers nodded as they headed toward the garage door, seeing it.
Inside…
Xavier turned around as he created an X with his arms, "Time for… Time Force!"
A blue aura surrounded him as he transformed into his suit. He turned around as he grabbed his Vortex Launcher from his weapon. As he headed downstairs, sneaking away from the guards, he headed downstairs toward the garage. Running down the stairs, he looked around to make sure there were no Centuroids. As he headed for the garage entrance, the other rangers arrived as he headed to meet up.
"So…," said Setsuna, "Anything?"
"We're good, but now would be a good time to get into the lab," said Xavier.
Setsuna nodded as she snapped her fingers. The rangers nodded as they took the stairs, heading toward the main level.
The lab…
The scientist was looking at his microscope, placing the red fragments into the red jewels. As one scientist was doing so, the other scientist was trying to charge a chain together. Creating a charge to seal it, Cyrus turned around as he went to shoot, "You need to hurry it up."
One of the scientists turned to him, "I can't. We need to make sure it's precise."
"If it's not done… Chompertron!"
Chompertron nodded as he grabbed his weapon, setting it to automatic. Blue and black beams were struck as half of the lab exploded. Some of the chemicals started to fizzle, explode or create chemical reactions. Everyone screamed as he laughed. As one reached for his Pokémon, Chompertron pulled his weapon, "You use your Pokémon, you die."
Fearing for his life, the guy placed his hands up and went on his knees. Chompertron laughed, "I am going to have a lot of fun with this."
PEW! PEW! PEW!
The sound of blasts was coming from the lower floor. Chompertron turned around as he looked at Cyrus. Chompetron nodded as he headed down to the lower floor. Running down the stairs, he froze as Chompertron watched. The Centuroids landed on the ground as the Time Force Rangers stood there.
"How did you get in here?"
"That's not important," said Xavier, "Release the hostages!"
Xavier pulled the trigger from his Vortex Launcher. Before the trigger was pulled to shoot, Chompertron pulled the trigger, shooting Xavier. Xavier yelled as he landed on the ground. Setsuna turned around as she went over to him, "Go get them!"
The rangers split. Setsuna went toward Chompertron. The rest went upstairs. As the three rangers went up the stairs, the Centuroids went to shoot. Stacy, Mason and Carl pulled the trigger, shooting green, pink and yellow beams. The Centuroids were hit as they landed on the ground. As they broke into the main lab, Stacy walked over as she turned to the scientists. Cyrus turned around as he looked at them, "Time Force… what are you doing here?"
"Cyrus, we're arresting you," said Carl, "Let's get everyone out of here."
Green beams struck, passing Carl, hitting the wall. Carl turned around as Cyrus aimed his weapon at him, "Over my dead body…"
Carl gripped his weapon as Mason and Stacy got the rest of the hostages. Cyrus tackled Carl, breaking through the window. Carl landed on his back as he turned around, with Cyrus behind him. Cyrus went to throw a punch, only for Carl to block it. Cyrus grabbed him in a headlock, shooting him in the back. Sparks hit as Carl landed on the ground. Carl looked up as Cyrus went to choke him.
"I've… had it with you…" he shouted.
Carl clenched his fist as he grabbed his blaster from the pocket. Shooting him, a green blast hit him in the side as Cyrus was hit. Cyrus coughed as he had burnt marks on his shirt, Carl turned around as he went to aim his weapon. Cyrus sighed as he looked at him, "I have plenty of time to mess with you!"
A flash of blue energy surrounded him as he disappeared. Carl grumbled as he turned around to look at the other rangers. The other rangers were hit by explosions, courtesy of Chompertron using his spikes. The spikes were grenades, and they exploded upon contact. Chompertron laughed as he looked up, "This is fun."
Meanwhile…
The scientists turned around as they saw Satfrax, gulping as they looked at Satfrax. Satfrax grinned as he turned around as he looked at them. Immediately, the two ruby crystals emerged to create a five-jewel chain, similar to the Red Chain. He laughed as he looked at it, "Ah, this is great. We want to thank you for your service. Centuroids!"
The scientists started to run away, only for the Centuroids to arrive with their weapons. Satfrax snapped his fingers as a yellow aura surrounded him.
Back outside…
Chompertron laughed as he released a beam of blue and black energy. Explosions surrounded them as the rangers landed on the ground. He laughed as he went to strike. Xavier and Setsuna nodded as they stood together.
"Time Strike! Hydro Cross!"
Two blue lines, shaped like an X, went across Chompertron. Chompertron as he spun around, landing on the ground. Setsuna jumped up as she stretched her arms out. One above her head, one to her left with a red clock surrounding her.
"Time Strike! Flame Slash 3!"
The two red blades struck as Chompertron was hit. Explosions appeared as Chompertron fell to the ground, landing on the ground. Xavier turned around as he looked at the others, "Let's freeze him!"
Chompertron found a purple scab on his elbow and ripped it. Screaming, a purple aura surrounded him as he grew. Doing so, spikes emerged surrounding the area. The rangers turned around as they saw Chompertron. Laughing, he aimed his weapon at the ground to shoot them. In the meantime, Xavier reached for his morpher, "Hoot!"
"Emergency System Activated!"
The Time Force Zords flew across from the future, heading toward the area. The rangers nodded as they hopped on the Time Flyer. As the jets opened up, the rangers landed in the cockpit.
"Megazord Formation, Beta Mode!" Setsuna shouted.
The rangers held on as the Time Jets were floating up in the air. Time Jets 2 and 3 were flying up vertically. The jets folded as blue arms appeared. Time Jets 4 and 5 were flying below as the jets folded, turning into legs. Time Jet 1 formed to become the chest. All the jets combined as the front of the jet opened, revealing a blue helmet.
Before the rangers could call on the Time Flyer, the Time Force Megazord landed on the ground. Upon impact, the spikes that dug in released a chain of explosions. Blue sparks surrounded the Megazord as explosions occurred. Chompertron laughed as he then released two sub-machine blasters. Pulling them out, blue beams struck as the Time Force Megazord was hit. Explosions appeared as the rangers held on.
"This is getting ridiculous," said Setsuna.
As the Time Force Megazord began to walk, there was another explosion. The rangers held on as Stacy went to look at her console, "There must be spikes hidden underground…"
"I got this… Chrono Search!" shouted Mason.
As Mason's helmet started lighting up, he noticed red and orange spikes in the ground. Chompertron began to shoot again, only for Mason to move around, causing to dodge the attack, "That was close… there are spikes everywhere."
"So, land mines?" asked Carl.
"Pretty much," said Xavier, looking at the screen.
"Well, what if we lure him in?" asked Stacy, turning around only to see Chompertron grab the Time Force Megazord. As the rangers tried to break free, Chompertron threw the Megazord across. Explosions surrounded them as the mines hit. The rangers held on as the alarms were going off. Chompertron was heading toward him as he aimed his weapon at the Megazord. Xavier turned around as he looked at the visual. Seeing a purple blast, Xavier nodded as he moved the joystick. He knew that the Time Force Megazord was on its back. Rolling over, the Time Force Megazord got out of the way as the blast hit another spike, causing an explosion.
"Time Blaster!"
The Time Flyer folded into a white laser pistol with two black nozzles poking out. Picking it up, the Time Force Megazordquickly grabbed it, pulling the trigger. Blue beams struck Chompertron as he landed on the ground. Tripping, Chompertron landed on a couple of spikes, exploding into pieces.
"Good job!" Setsuna shouted.
"We're not out of the woods yet," said Xavier, "Open Formation!"
A blue aura surrounded the Time Force Megazord as it split into the five Time Force Zords. Xavier turned around as he pressed a few buttons, "Pokémon Mode!"
As Time Force Zord 2 began to shine in a blue aura, it transformed into an Empoleon. The Empoleon Zord landed on the ground, dashing toward Chompertron. Chompertron threw purple like orbs. The Empoleon Zord used its wings, blocking the orbs as it exploded either side. Dashing, the Empoleon Zord charged forward with its wing.
"Metal Claw!"
A titanium aura surrounded the Empoleon Zord as it slashed Chompertron. Chompertron backed up as he stepped on his own spike, causing an explosion. Purple sparks surrounded him as Chompertron weakened.
"Megazord Formation," Xavier shouted, "Time Force Megazord Alpha!"
Iron Valiant folded its weapon as it transformed into an arm with Luxray. Luxray transformed into arm as the tail shrunk, legs folded with a hand forming. The two arms floated across as the Empoleon Zord split into two legs. The head shrunk as the body split. The Torterra Zord shrunk its head and arms, becoming the chest as the tree detached, becoming the shield. The Infernape jumped up as it crossed its arms and legs. The Infernape combined with the Torterra as its head popped up. The other zords connected with it. The tree was held, becoming a shield.
The rangers this time landed in a cockpit, with red lights. Setsuna appeared with her console, "Time Force Megazord Saber!"
A pink blade, similar to Iron Valiant's lance appeared. It was a pink blade with a silver hilt and blue crystal with black and gold lights. The Time Force Megazord landed on the ground. Razor Fang stood there as its blade began to charge.
"Let's do it!" shouted Xavier. A blue aura surrounded it as a duplicate saber appeared, the same as the Time Force Megazord Saber. Pulling it out, Xavier stretched it out as two blades on either side stretched out, exactly like the Megazord. As the Megazord stretched it, the same thing happened. A green clock appeared behind it as the clouds and skies got darker.
"No!" he shouted, grabbing another weapon, "Go to hell!"
Before he could charge the weapon, which was a green and red rocket launcher, the Time Force Megazord started running toward Chompertron. Sparks were flying as the saber began to glow in a golden aura.
"Blizzard Strike!"
Upon striking the creature, he released a rocket at close range. Explosions surrounded both opponents as time froze.
3… 2… 1… FREEZE!
As ice was formed from the saber. Chompertron exploded as he began to freeze, transforming him into a miniature. However, the rocket pierced the center of the Time Force Megazord. The rangers yelled as explosions surrounded the Megazord. As the Time Force Megazord began to glow in a red aura. The Time Force Megazord split into jets. Sparks surrounded them as the Time Force Zords went back into the portal. The rangers landed on the ground, landing face first. As the rangers rolled over to get up, auras surrounded them as they transformed. Xavier took a deep breath as he was looking at his hands. Cuts and bruises surrounded him as the other rangers had the same issue.
"Wow…," he said, "What in the world was that?"
"I know…," said Setsuna, "Are all the spikes gone?"
Carl walked over grabbing his Time Force Badge. As he placed his badge over Chompertron, a green aura surrounded him as he was contained in a capsule. Once frozen, the rest of the spikes exploded. The rangers took cover as Stacy looked at Setsuna, "I guess that answers your question."
"Wow," said Mason, looking over, "So… what now?"
"What now?" asked Setsuna, "We head to Valor Lakefront… and recap everything. We also need to talk to Hoot when we get in the car."
"Well, this was a Cyrus plan, I have a feeling this isn't the-," he said, stopping. The rangers stopped as they were looking at the car. Their car was in a safe location, but the police were outside with the EMS and the fire fighters. As the rangers looked up, they noticed there were people in the ambulance. Apparently, Cyrus and Satfrax had some fun while they took Chompertron.
"So, about that Ruby Chain," said Setsuna, "We need to know more about that chain."
Meanwhile…
Cyrus and Satfrax arrived back to Capone's Lair. Luckily, Capone and Persira were still asleep. Everything was left untouched. Cyrus turned around as he looked at Satfrax, "So much for taking for Valor Labs."
Satfrax nodded as he looked at Cyrus, "True… however…"
Cyrus looked up as Satfrax stretched out his hand. Cyrus grinned as he looked at Satfrax, "We now have a Ruby Chain… and we are going to have so much fun."
As he walked toward the lab, Satfrax grinned as he turned to Cyrus, "Now we can complete the next part of the plan."
"Yes, we can…," said Cyrus, grinning, "Are you ready?"
"Ready? I am glad you asked," said Satfrax, "But, we have to wait for Capone and Persira to leave…"
Cyrus grinned as he walked away, laughing. He knew right away what needed to be done. As he headed down the stairs, he grinned as he closed the door behind him. Satfrax grinned as he placed the Ruby Chain in his lab, "Capone thinks crime is the best… well, sometimes you just got to let loose!"
Valor Labs…
The head scientist, the same scientist that had the jewelry box, ran down the stairs as he headed toward the garage. Using his ID card, he slid it as a grey door opened. As it rose to the top, the scientist headed into a hall with blue lights that appeared on either side. Running to the other side of the lab, he turned around as he looked at a man, who had brown hair and red eyes. He looked up as his grey pepper hair with black stripes and golden eyes were illuminated by the white lights. He had a blue business suit with a green pole that he used to walk around with.
"Mayor Fitzgerald, the criminals… Cyrus… he took the Ruby Chain from us," he said, "Luckily, the Poké Rangers were able to stop Chompertron…"
"Luckily for us… we created the prototype before we started creating the actual thing," he said. Kristofer Fitzgerald was one to be proactive with plans. Besides being the mayor of Sunyshore City, science research was his thing. As he turned around, he pressed the green button on the console. The window opened as the scientist looked up. In the lake itself, there was a grey pipe that connected to the basement underground. There was a tank that appeared. The tank had a Rhyperior complex design. The mayor grinned, "May I present to you… the Sinnoh Guardian Battleship: Rhytron."
"The Ruby Chain is going to power that thing?" he asked.
"Yes," he said, looking at the specifications, "With how much I researched from Dino Charge and Time Force, I used those particle collections with everyone's help, to create a power force that we won't need the rangers.. we can do it ourselves."
Meanwhile, in 4024…
Shawn stood there, frozen as he was looking at it again after another day. This time, Jace Lupo was walking toward him. Shawn turned his head as Jace looked up. Jace's eyes grew as he looked at what happened. The Time Force Zords were badly damaged. Jace turned around as he looked at Shawn. Both detectives were walking toward the hall, heading back to the office.
"What happened over there?" asked Jace.
"I tried reaching Setsuna," said Shawn, "I guess they're not reachable."
"We should've went dude. I knew this was going to be a problem," Jace said, slamming his fist to the wall.
"Hey… we knew with her going back to the past things were going to change here," said Shawn, putting his hand on Jace's shoulder, "Whoever Setsuna tried to arrest did a huge beating on the zords."
"Those zords are indestructible. They shouldn't be damaged… at all," said Shawn, looking at him.
"Well… if you look at the case file," said Shawn, looking at the disk. Jace looked at it, "Case File 18: Chompertron?"
Shawn nodded as he looked at him, "Yeah. Read it and weep. Schiff gave it to me to look at. But, I know something he doesn't know."
"What?" Jace asked.
"There might be a way to save Setsuna and the others if they have an issue again. Those zords are going to be held here for repair," Shawn said, pointing down the hall. Jace followed Shawn, seeing the directions he was going. As the lights were flashing, Shawn turned around as he looked at Jace. Jace noticed that this was a highly classified area based on the lights. How Shawn got in was a mystery and didn't want to ask. As the door opened, Jace looked at what Shawn saw earlier. The lights were showing a metallic Corviknight, with the wings stretched out. Red lights were protruding from the ground, revealing its dark, shadowy appearance with blue lights aiming above it. Both detectives froze, mesmerized by the Corviknight that was there.
"What is that?" he asked, "A Corviknight?"
Yeah and apparently, a secret we weren't supposed to know, but apparently Time Force is hiding something," Shawn replied.

A/N: And that is Part 1 of the Shadow Force trilogy. What could possibly happen next? What does Cyrus and Satfrax have in their plan? Can the rangers stop their plan without the zords?
