Fade into the Fenton's dining room. Danny was eating his breakfast and Jazz was sitting next to him. Maddie brings the breakfast food to the table while Jack was shivering nervously.
Danny Fenton: (To Jazz:) Hm? Why is dad acting so nervous?
Jazz Fenton: Never seen him acting like this before, so who cares?
Maddie: (Sits on the chair next to her husband.) My dear, (Puts her hand onto Jack's shoulder.) I know there's something wrong last night. Can you tell me what happened?
Jack: (Sighs in shame.) Maddie, dearie, I have a very serious nightmare.
Danny: (Stops eating his breakfast as he turns his head in shock.) A nightmare?
Jazz: Dad, can you tell us about the very serious nightmare you had last night?
Jack: (Sighs.) I have dreamed that a Dark Spirit haunted me in my dream.
Danny: (Seriously:) I hoped it wasn't Nocturn who caused those nightmares!
Jack: Son, that wasn't Nocturn. It was worse…
Jazz: What does the Dark Spirit look like?
Jack: Well…he has rad yellow eyes, purple torn cape, claws, a bow tie and….he even has a g…g…g…ghostly tail! (Shivers in fear.)
Maddie: (Patted her husband on the back.) It's okay, it was only just a bad dream.
While Maddie was confronting her husband, Danny started to have a strange feeling and then, he turned to Jazz.
Danny: Jazz.
Jazz: Yes, brother?
Danny: I started to feel like there might be some kind of ghost that haunted our father's dream.
Jazz: Don't you mean the Dark Spirit?
Danny: Yeah. I'd believe that there is something strange going on around here.
Jazz: I think you're right. (Stands up from her seat) We should find out who haunted our father in his dream!
Danny: Good point, big sis.
Maddie: Danny, Jazz, it's time for you to pack up for school. I don't want the two of you to be late. You focus on your school while I take care of your father, alright?
Danny and Jazz: Alright, mom.
Fade to Casper High. Inside the school, Danny and Jazz are walking through the hall. A lot of students like Dash Baxter, Paulina, Kwan and Valerie Gray are talking about the nightmares they had about the Dark Spirit.
Valerie Gray: Paulina, aren't you really afraid of the Dark Spirit?
Paulina: If I ever hear his "SCREEK!" I will be terrified! He's always kept haunting me in my dream!
Pans to the left where Dash and Kwan are talking.
Dash Baxter: Have you ever heard about the Dark Spirit?
Kwan: (Nervously:) I may hate to say this, but he creeps me out everytime! I can't even sleep very well!
Danny: (Upon hearing the conversations the students are having.) Jazz, I believe that dad wasn't the only one who had that nightmare.
Jazz: Yeah, I think so too. They might have the same nightmare about the Dark Spirit.
Soon, Tucker Foley came in with eyes very drowsy.
Tucker Foley: (Yawns very sleepy.) Hello, Danny.
Danny: Tucker, can you tell us what is happening?
Tucker: (Began to feel nervous:) I believe that I have the same dream like those other students about the Dark Spirit!
Danny and Jazz looked at each other, knowing that something bad had already happened. Fade to Mr. Lancer's classroom. The students are working on a clay project of the book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Danny was working hard on a scene that shows Alice meeting the Cheshire Cat on a tree. He soon notices Mr. Lancer sleeping.
Danny: Jazz.
Jazz: (Working on a clay version of a scene that shows Alice swimming in a pool of tears.) What is it, Danny?
Danny: Mr. Lancer is sleeping, and…I have a bad feeling about this.
Mr. Lancer began to struggle in fear. Danny and Jazz soon began to watch in worry.
Mr. Lancer: (Whimpering in fear.) No…I can't…NO! I don't…. (Woke up quickly from a nightmare.) ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND! (Breathing in fear.)
Paulina: What happened, Mr. Lancer?
Mr. Lancer: I have a nightmare about (Pans closer to him, with lighting in the background.)…the Dark Spirit!
Danny and Jazz began to look at each other in worry. Fades to the outside of Casper High. Danny and Jazz were walking in the Amity Park Swap Meet from "What You Want". They passed different booths until they came to Madame Babazita's Mystical Oddities. Madame Babazita noticed Danny and Jazz coming to her booth.
Danny: Um…hello, Madame Babazita. We needed your help.
Jazz: Everybody in Amity Park is having nightmares about the Dark Spirit. We are hoping that we can figure out who is the one haunting everyone in their dreams. Do you think that you could help?
Madame Babazita nodded her head and picked up a book that was in front of a golden lamp. She gives it to Danny and Jazz.
Danny: (Carries the book. Confused:) A book? How can a book solve anything?
Jazz: Danny, (Takes the book.) This book will tell us the legend about the Dark Spirit and it shall explain why it haunted everyone in Amity Park in their dreams.
Jazz opens the book and starts reading while Danny looks at the pages in concern.
Jazz: Let's see…it all began with an old Pi'illo named Eldream. (Fade to the origin story flashback of Eldream, an old purple Pi'illo, hiking on Mount Pajamaja.) During the early days of the Pi'illo race, Eldream has been hiking on Mount Pajamaja, a half snowy, half fiery mountain. (Eldream picks some artifacts that were on the snow of the snowy side and on the rocky ground of the fiery side.) He collected some mythical items that were on the snowy land of the cold side and on the surface closer to the hot liquid of the hot side. (Fade back to her and Danny looking at the book.) However, collecting something doesn't soothe his sorrows though.
Danny: How come?
Jazz: According to this book, (Fade back to the origin story flashback. Eldream was mourning his old wife's death.) Eldream's old wife died of an old age. That's what leads him to having his sorrow.
Fade to Eldream walking in Dozing Sands. He stops, sighing in disappointment.
Eldream: One long month from collecting artifacts from Mount Pajamaja, my old sorrows came through me.
Suddenly, Eldream notices a stone wall with the Dream Stone, a rainbow-color stone in the shape of a spiral.
Eldream: What is this? (Picks up the Dream Stone from the stone wall.) I never see anything like this.
Eldream looks at the Dream Stone curiously. Soon, the Dream Stone collected the energy of a sleeping Boomerang Bro.
Eldream: Hm, that seems unexpected. (Notice the Dream Stone began to glow.) What the?
Soon, the glowing light began to gleam, meaning that it has enough power.
Eldream: I need to keep this artifact a secret, but first, I wonder what to do with this mythical stone?
Fade to Jazz and Danny reading the book.
Jazz: Eldream knows that the special artifact was called the Dream Stone. The Dream Stone grants any wishes by anyone who possesses it. Before he could keep this stone a secret from showing its power, Eldream wishes for something that will soothe his sorrows. After that, he leaves it in Dozing Sands just to keep its power a secret.
Danny: So what about the Dark Spirit? You know, the ghost that haunted everyone in their dreams?
Jazz: (Flips the pages on the book.) There's a page that talks about that ghost.
Danny: Hm, I better read this. (Look at the page on the book.) The Dark Spirit that haunted everyone in their dreams was the wicked bat king Antasma. He was originally a normal bat living until he once fed a nightmare from a Pi'illo and soon, he began to feed on nightmares until he became the dark overlord. After his dark defeat to Mario and Luigi, two plumbers from the Mushroom Kingdom, Antasma came in, a very evil return, just to get his revenge and he won't stop until his wishes are granted that were on the Dream Stone. (His face started to get worried.) Jazz.
Jazz: What, Danny?
Danny: I'm getting a little worried that the Dark Spirit must have done something bad to everyone in their dreams.
Jazz: I think so, too.
Fade to Fenton Works. It was now night. Fade to the Second Bedroom and as Danny was sleeping, Jazz came into his room.
Danny: (Woke up. Annoyed:) Jazz, what is it? Can you see that I am trying to sleep?
Jazz: (Whispering:) Danny, I believe that one of the people in Amity Park could be next, so what do you say we make a break for it?
Danny: (Alarmed:) Right! The Dark Spirit must be haunting his next victim! (Goes ghost, transforming himself into Danny Phantom.) Let's go outside and stop this ghost!
Danny and Jazz ran out of their house. They soon got into the street.
Danny: The Dark Spirit must be around here somewhere!
Jazz: (Holding the Booo-merang.) This Booo-merang may find the Dark Spirit's ecto-signature.
Jazz threw the Booo-merang, and soon it got back. The Booo-merang beeps as it knows that it found the ecto-signature.
Jazz: (Grabs the Booo-merang.) It's that way! At Kwan's house!
Danny: Let's go!
Danny and Jazz raced to Kwan's house. After they got there, they looked around.
Danny: Now, where did that Dark Spirit go?
Jazz: It must have gotten into Kwan's house. I believe that we will go in and check.
Danny: I think you are right.
Danny and Jazz open the door and sneak into Kwan's house. They looked around the living room until Danny noticed a shadow that looked alot like Antasma.
Danny: (Pointing his finger.) Jazz, there's the Dark Spirit!
Jazz: Get him!
Quickly alarmed, Antasma turns himself into a bat and flies away. Danny and Jazz follow after him up the stairs. Antasma, still in his bat form, pushes himself through a keyhole on the door. Danny and Jazz stopped by the door.
Jazz: The ghost must have gotten into Kwan's bedroom!
Danny: (Turning the doorknob, but it was locked.) Darn it! The door's locked. Looks like I better break it down!
Danny broke the door down using his ghost powers and he and Jazz went inside Kwan's room. To their shock, they found Kwan in his nightgown, but his eyes were now yellow and was smiling evilly.
Antasma: (Overshadowing Kwan) Vell…vell…vell…if it isn't Daniel "Danny" Fenton and Jasmine "Jazz" Fenton, I know vut have come into you now.
Danny: Wait a second, how did you know our names?
Jazz: (Angrily:) And why did you haunt everybody in their dreams, Dark Spirit?!
Antasma: Dark Spirit? Ah-ah-ah-ah! Dark Spirit! I am technically not a Dark Spirit. I am Antasma, the bat king!
Danny: So you are the cause of everybody having those nightmares!
Antasma: SCREEK! Vut do you expect? After that long defeat I haff got from those pesky plumbers vho vere sided by Prince Dreambert? Vell, I haff returned thanks to a Pi'illo accidentally vishing on the shatter of the Dark Stone, releasing me from that eternal nightmare.
Kwan: (Soon regain control.) What the? Jazz, Danny, I have been overshadowed by the Dark Spirit!
Danny: Overshadowing…that must be the ghost power I used before like many times!
Jazz: I didn't know that Antasma has ghost powers.
Kwan: That's not what you meant! He has nightmarish powers and has the same thing just like the ghost powers!
Antasma: (To Kwan:) SCREEEEP! I ever heard these vords before, but I can take on my full strength. SCREEEP!
Kwan: (Trying to get himself into control.) What are you doing?! Get out of my brain, you monster!
Antasma: AH-AH-AH-AH-AH…NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHEESK!
Soon, Antasma flew out of Kwan.
Kwan: (Woke up from the overshadowing.) Ugh…nobody shall ever manipulate a popular student like me.
Danny: Thank goodness, you are fine.
Jazz: It seems like you had the same nightmare just like everyone else in Amity Park!
Kwan: (Regains control. Nervously:) Danny, Jazz, I can't believe I had that nightmare again! I don't know what's in Antasma's mind, but I am worried that he had already fed himself of all of the nightmares people had! That's DEFINITELY way before he almost sucked my soul!
Antasma began to touch Kwan's shoulder.
Kwan: (Frightened:) He's right behind me, isn't it?
Kwan turned around and saw Antasma in his true form. He fell onto the ground and began to move back fearfully. Danny, with his hands filled with the ghost power, and Jazz stands back very seriously.
Antasma: SCREEK! Vell, Danny and Jazz, I know that you're gonna defeat me all because I caused all of those nightmares to the people. Just vait and see, you vill know vut I'm gonna do!
Danny: (Seriously:) What are you gonna do?!
Antasma: (Grabs Danny by the hand.) I'm going to capture von of your vorst enemies and it vas…Vlad Plasmius!
Jazz and Kwan: (Getting really shocked:) WHAT?!
Danny: Vlad Masters? No way, Antasma! You…you can't capture my arch-enemy! Don't you eventually know that villains can't capture a villain?! That's preposterous!
Antasma: Vell, Danny, you think that you can't defeat me, but your sister vill! I shall be into your father's dream again and this time, Vlad vill not defeat me! AH-AH-AH-AH-AH!
Antasma drops Danny and quickly flies out through the top of Kwan's Bedroom. Kwan began to faint and Danny quickly confronted him while Jazz watched. Suddenly, Vlad Masters, who was in his Plasmius form, came through the door and saw the whole situation.
Vlad Masters: I have come here as fast as I could. I overheard a loud laughter during my sleep, so I came here. Now, what is going on here?
Danny: Vlad, we encountered a bat king named Antasma. He has haunted everyone in their dreams!
Jazz: Worst of all, Antasma told us that he's gonna capture you!
Vlad: (First shocked:) A Slavic-Accented bat king trying to kidnap me?! (Angrily:) This is ridiculous! Why can a great villain ever capture an elegant man who has ghost powers like me?
Danny: But…
Vlad: (Interrupting Danny's speech. Seriously:) I don't want to hear it! I'm going to get into my collegemate's dream and beat this Antasma guy TO THE MOON! Of course he may realize, this means war!
Vlad beats his fist seriously onto his palm.
