The following afternoon, Aizawa escorted Kazuhiro to a nearby apartment complex from the school. It was about a 15-minute walk but Kazuhiro looked around to get familiarized with the location. Principal Nezu waited for the two of them on the bottom floor of the apartment.
"Good to see you, Kimura. How are you feeling?" Nezu said.
"I guess I'm still a little shaken," Kazuhiro admitted. His tone matched his nervousness.
"A lot of things did happen to you in the last twenty-four hours. The fact you're standing here means you must have a strong heart," Nezu said, trying to encourage the teenager. "I managed to tell the owner of this building that I needed a last-minute room ready for an out-of-town student. Made the excuse that his original dormitory was destroyed and luckily I found a villain attack to link it to."
"You thought of everything," Kazuhiro said.
"Of course, I did. When running a school with hundreds of students with superpowers, you need to be prepared for anything," Nezu said. "Come on, let's get you situated inside!"
Kazuhiro's room was a small loft with a bed, kitchen, desk, and bathroom. On his desk was a new cellphone and a credit card with sticky notes on the account details. He was impressed that Nezu managed to find him a room so quickly.
"You don't have to worry about rent. UA will cover your living expenses. We'll also provide you with cell service and send you 7,500 Yen for spending cash," Nezu said.
"I can't help but feel like you guys are doing way too much for me," Kazuhiro said.
"Running UA is an expensive operation. We have enough to rebuild the school from the ground up three times. It's safe for us to skim a bit from our funds to provide for a student in need."
"So, when do I start?" Kazuhiro asked.
"You'll start at the beginning of the semester, which is on April 7th."
"Wait, what month is it?"
"February. We can't just put you on the tail end of the school year. I hope you don't mind repeating the first year. It would be wrong of us to throw you in the second-year Hero course and be vastly behind everyone."
"It's fine, it was barely summer from where I'm from," Kazuhiro said.
"We'll also provide reading material to help you catch up on certain subjects as well as access to U.A.'s training facility on the weekends to hone your abilities."
"I can't thank you enough," Kazuhiro said as he bowed his head.
"No need to be too formal. I'm only looking after my student," Nezu said as he walked towards the exit. "Aizawa's and my contact info are saved on your phone. If you need anything, call us. Take care!"
With that, Nezu left. Kazuhiro sat down on his bed and began to think about the situation he was in. He's currently in a new world, all alone with no one who knows him personally. This world is full of superheroes and there are schools to train heroes. He's also going to attend one of them. This is all to prepare himself for an invasion that attacked him in his original world. It was going to be a long road for him.
For the next few months, Kazuhiro played catch-up, learning about the history of heroes thanks to some handy books from Nezu. A staff member would occasionally check up on him, mainly one of the Pro Hero teachers when they go on patrol.
In his free time, Kazuhiro would explore the city to get himself familiarized with the area. This world was significantly different from his. From what he understands, Quirks are what they call superpowers in this world. With 80% of the world having them, Pro Heroes are needed to protect society from those who would use their powers for crime. In the modern era, Pro Heroes are the equivalent of a celebrity. They get sponsorships, television roles, and much more.
During one trip to the convenience store, Kazuhiro witnessed a few Pro Heroes in action. It was a classic bank robbery. An armored vehicle was speeding down the street and a Pro Hero named Death Arms jumped in the way and stopped the truck in its path. The robbers in the back tried to flee but were apprehended by another Pro Hero named Kamui Woods. His body was made out of wood and manipulated to form branches to bind them. Kazuhiro thought that if the world was full of heroes like them, then they might have a chance when Hundred inevitably arrived.
As for his powers, Kazuhiro would spend a weekend practicing his powers at a facility specially tailored to train Quirk users. It is meant to be a safe, controlled environment, which is perfect for him. Counting the powers of Kamen Rider Decade and Gaim, there are twenty-three Kamen Rider cards. However, the extensiveness of their power comes in the form of the FormRide and the AttackRide cards. FormRide changes the form of the Rider, utilizing a different fighting style and weapon of a Rider. Meanwhile, AttackRide cards are just specific weapons and abilities. Some AttackRide cards can be used in other forms while others cannot.
Kazuhiro experimented with these cards to test his limits as well as their limit. He spent at least two days per Kamen Rider card, understanding their weapon, abilities, and fighting styles. At most, he could use these cards for maybe two hours before getting some form of fatigue. After that, the card will become useless for 24-four hours. The only exception is the Decade card. Another thing he noted was that the Final AttackRide card essentially uses the power of the Rider and retires them instantly.
[FormRide: Ichigo Arms]
A giant strawberry landed on Gaim, transforming into his armor. His helmet remained the same except for his visor and the back was red to match the strawberry armor. Two kunai with strawberries materialize in Gaim's hand. The kunai have a strawberry printed onto the bottom of the blade.
[Ichigo Arms! Swooshing Spark!]
The fruit-themed Rider was currently in the target practice room. Surrounding him were bullseye targets that moved around in a circle. Ten targets of varying height and distance circle him. Gaim tapped the kunai together before he threw both at two of the targets, hitting them instantly. Two more kunai instantly appeared in his hand before he threw them at two more targets.
Aizawa watched from an observation room. He would periodically check on Kazuhiro whenever he was at the Quirk Training Facility. After seeing half of a dozen forms being used, Aizawa is beginning to understand the nature of his powers as well. The fact that it's not a Quirk might have its advantages. Any Quirk that affects others like Erasure wouldn't be held down by it. It might be even able to not be stolen by All for One, but that's a conflict that he hopes would never come to fruition.
Once he knocked down the last target, multiple targets popped open and circled Gaim at a fast pace. he pulled out the Final AttackRide card and inserted it into his belt.
[Final AttackRide: G-G-G-Gaim!]
Gaim unsheathed the Musuou Saber.
[Ichigo Charge!]
Gaim swung the sword into the air, unleashing a strawberry construct that flipped over and fired a storm of kunai at the targets, hitting them all at once. Gaim's armor blurred and transformed back into Decade. The Gaim and Ichigo Arms cards ejected, their portraits burning off to signify its recharging time.
After today's target practice, Kazuhiro decided to head home for today. Aizawa waited for him by the exit.
"Aizawa," Kazuhiro nodded in acknowledgment.
"School starts next Monday. I hope you're ready," Aizawa said.
"I'm ready. I should be fortunate I had two months of no school. It gave me ample time to catch up," Kazuhiro said.
"Good, because I won't cut you any slack once the semester begins. You won't be getting any special treatment from me."
Kazuhiro nodded as he understood what he was getting himself into. It makes sense for him to not be treated as special. It would create an unfair environment if he could get excuses for being behind.
"I'll do my best to keep up with the others," Kazuhiro said.
The day has finally arrived for Kazuhiro's first day at U.A. High School. He hasn't set foot on campus since that incident in February. Nezu provided him with a school uniform along with an extra set for emergencies. Kazuhiro looked at the mirror as he fixed his tie. He glanced at his desk to see a small box. He walked up to and opened, which was his old phone with his other belongings such as his old ID and a punch-out ticket for free ramen.
Kazuhiro opened his phone and looked at the photos of his friends goofing around one day while at the claw machine corner of an arcade. As he scrolled through the phone, he came across a family photo of him, his parents, and his brother. He occasionally thinks of them, hoping that they survived whatever happened in his world. Kazuhiro hopes that he can come back to his world one day and fix his relationship with his parents. Kazuhiro puts his phone inside the box and sets it to the side. He stood by the doorway and took a deep breath and walked out.
The walk to the U.A. was about fifteen minutes. Kazuhiro's apartment was on the base of the hill where the school was located. On his way up, he saw students with all sorts of physical appearances. He read that heteromorphic, or mutant-type, Quirks cause permanent changes to their bodies. This could mean extra limbs or an animalistic trait. It took Kazuhiro a few weeks to get used to the appearances of heteromorphic Quirks. What changed his mind was learning about the discrimination that some of them felt, and he didn't want to make this world a worse place.
Kazuhiro walked down the large hallways of UA, looking for Class 1-A. All he knew was that Aizawa was the homeroom teacher. It wasn't that long ago when he told him that he wasn't going to give him any special treatment. That warning was needed to make Kazuhiro be on edge for what's to come.
"Here's the room," Kazuhiro said as he looked a the large door with the class number on it. Kazuhiro scoffed at the ridiculous size of the door before he remembered the possibility that the school might have larger-than-average students to compensate. He took a deep breath. He said, "The people beyond this door are going people who dedicated their time to becoming heroes.
When he entered the classroom, Kazuhiro already saw a handful of students in the class. There were four rows of four and five in the back. There a notably less space there. He decided to avoid the back and sit in the middle of the third row. He quietly took his seat and watched the students come in one by one.
Kazuhiro watched the door to make note of any student that caught his eye. One of them was a boy with half-white, half-red hair. Below his red half was a scar burn. Another student was a blonde student who looked like he was about to blow a fuse with such a permanent angry expression on his face.
"He feels like someone that would blow up and cause problems. Probably should avoid him whenever given the chance," Kazuhiro thought. He sat silently until a boy with spiked-up red hair sat next to him.
"Name's Eijiro Kirishima, let's get along this semester!" Kirishima exclaimed. He extended his arm out to shake it.
Kazuhiro returned the gesture and said, "Kazuhiro Kimura."
"So, how'd you do on the exam?" Kirishima asked.
"Exam?" Kazuhiro asked.
"Yeah, the practical exam. They gave each student a ranking. They posted the top 10 but I'm curious to see where others landed,"
"To be honest, I forgot," Kazuhiro said. "I was just happy enough to get into the school."
"I respect that. You're not the competitive?"
"I can get competitive, but I guess you can say when it comes to the exams…" Kazuhiro paused to figure out his words. " I was more focused on passing. What about you?"
Kirishima smirked and pointed at himself. He said, "You're looking at the second-place winner."
"You must have a strong Quirk," Kazuhiro said.
"Ehhh, my Quirk is not anything special," Kirishima said as he lifted his arm. His hand hardened like a rock. "My Quirk allows me to harden my skin."
"Sounds useful," Kazuhiro said.
"I guess. It doesn't have the flashiness that other Quirks have so I don't know how good it will be in the Pro Hero scene."
"Don't be hard on yourself like that, it has its practical use."
"Practicality won't get you far," an anger-toned voice said. Kazuhiro turned around as Eijiro looked over him. It was the blonde student. "To reach the top, you a Quirk that displays true, inner strength."
"Who are you?" Kazuhiro asked.
"Name's Katsuki Bakugo, remember that name when I reach the top."
"This guy sounds like a handful," Kirishima muttered to Kazuhiro, who nodded.
"I heard that!" Bakugo snapped.
"What kind of Quirk do you have anyways if you're so sure that you can reach the top?" Kazuhiro asked
"Explosion," Bakugou said as he created a few small firecracker-like explosions from his hand. "It has the flashiness and power that can outshine the Pros."
The other classmates begin to wince and groan and the hot-headedness of Bakugo.
"I guess we'll see," Kazuhiro said as he faced forward. Bakugo scoffed
"Hey, speaking of Quirks, what kind do you have?" Kirishima asked.
Thanks to Nezu pulling some strings, he managed to put Kazuhiro in the civilian registry. As of a few weeks ago, Kazuhiro is officially a citizen of this country. As for his "Quirk", it is labeled as Transformation, fitting given that that's his main method of activating his powers.
"It's called Transformation."
"Transformation? What kind of transformation is it? A werewolf?" Kirishima asked
"It probably would've been called Werewolf if I did turn into a werewolf."
"That's true," Kirishima said as he scratched the back of his head.
A few minutes pass and more students arrive. Bakugo already escalated himself into another argument with another student. This student had black hair and sported glasses.
"Don't put your feet on your desk!" the student with glasses proclaimed.
"Huh?" Bakugo snapped back with a smirk on his face.
"Don't you think it's rude to the UA upperclassmen and the people who used this desk?"
"Well, this guy looks the part of the disciplined, obedient student," Kazuhiro muttered.
"Nope. What junior high did you go to, side character?" Bakugo asked.
"Side character? This guy is going to be very insufferable if he keeps this up throughout the year," Kazuhiro thought.
"I attended Somei Private Academy. My name is Tenya Iida," the student with glasses introduced himself.
"So you're a damn elite, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you!" Bakugo declared.
"Crushing? That's cruel. You're terrible! Do you truly aim to be a hero?!" Iida asked. Bakugo glanced at the door and Iida soon followed. "You're…"
Everyone who was paying attention turned their head to the front, where a boy with messy green hair and freckles stood by. He froze once everyone looked at him.
"Good morning!" Iida proclaimed as he walked towards the newly arrived student. "I am from Somei Private Academy. My name is—"
"I heard!" the green-haired teenager said as he gestured to stop. "I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Iida."
"Midoriya, you realized there was something more to that practical exam, didn't you? I had no idea…" Iida said. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. "I misjudged you! I hate to admit it, but you are better than me. Sorry. I didn't realize anything."
"Oh, that curly hair! You're the plain-looking one!" a brunette girl exclaimed from behind. "You passed, just like Present Mic said!"
The brunette student began to make a punching motion. She cheered with enthusiasm "Break! Break! Break! Break! Bre—"
"Oh, well, um, thanks to you going to speak with him directly, I, uh…" the green-haired teenager turned his face away blushing while covering his face.
The girl kept barraging him with questions. "I wonder if today's just the entrance ceremony and orientation? I wonder what our teachers are like?"
"Go somewhere else if you want to play at being friends. This is the hero course.," Aizwa spoke quietly. He was on the floor inside a sleeping bag.
Izuku, the girl, and Iida both have similar thoughts: "S-Something's here!?"
"Okay, it took eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You kids are not rational enough," Aizawa said as he stood up. He unzips the sleeping bag and steps out. "I'm your homeroom teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Nice to meet you."
Everyone was surprised to see that someone so worn out was their homeroom teacher. Even though Kazuhiro knew that Aizawa was going to be his homeroom teacher, it still surprised him that he could balance both his life as a teacher and a Pro Hero.
Aizawa reached inside and pulled out a gym uniform. "It's kind of sudden, but put this on and go out onto the field."
"A Quirk assessment test?!" everyone shouted in surprise. UA's gym uniform consisted of dark blue shorts and a shirt. Interestingly, the shirt had a U printed around the collar, while the A was printed from the chest down and went into the shorts.
"If you're going to become a hero, you don't have time for such leisurely events. UA's selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how the teachers run their classes.," Aizawa spoke. He pulled out a tablet with a list of physical tests. "You kids have been doing these since junior high, too, right? Physical fitness tests where you weren't allowed to use your Quirks. The country still uses averages taken from results from students not using their Quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating."
Aizawa turned to Bakugo. "Bakugo, you finished at the top of the practical exam, right? In junior high, what was your best result for the softball throw?
"67 meters," Bakugo said.
"Then, try doing it with your Quirk," Aizawa said. Bakugo was handed a softball and stood in the circle of the pitching area. "You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle. Hurry up. Give it all you have got."
"Then, well…" Bakugo said as he prepared to pitch. He threw the softball, using his explosive Quirk to propel it. "Die!"
The softball was launched high into the sky, leaving a small fire trail before falling to the ground from hundreds of meters away. There were a few audible gasps among the students.
"Know your maximum first. That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero," Aizawa said as he showed the results, which were a little over 700 meters.
"700 meters? For real?" a blonde student with a black lightning bolt said.
"What's this? It looks fun!" a very pink student exclaimed.
"We can use our Quirks as much as we want!" a black-haired student said.
"You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude like that the whole time? All right. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential," Aizawa said as he formed a sadistic smile. "...and will be punished with expulsion."
"Huh?!" the students shouted. Even Kazuhiro was surprised by this.
"It's barely an hour into the semester and there's already the threat of being kicked out?!" Kazuhiro thought. If the stakes are already this high, then he'll need to fight harder to prove himself worthy to keep up with everyone.
"We're free to do whatever want to our students. Welcome to U.A.'s hero course!" Aizawa said with a wider smile.
"Last place will be expelled?! But it's the first day of school! No, even if it wasn't the first day of school, this is too unfair!" the brunette proclaimed.
"Natural disasters, big accidents, and selfish villains. Calamities whose time or place can't be predicted. Japan is covered with unfairness. Heroes are the ones who reverse those situations. If you wanted to go talk with your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad, "Aizawa explained. "For the next three years, UA will do all it can to give you one hardship after another. Go beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you have got."
"That does sound inspirational in a weird way. If heroes around here are supposed to have this high standard, then it would be pointless to beat around the bush," Kazuhiro thought with a nod of determination.
The first test was the 50-meter dash. Iida was first along with a girl with long green hair that was tied together at the bottom. Kazuhiro noticed that the bottom of his feet had exhaust pipes, which immediately clicked to him on what Iida's Quirk could be.
"On your mark… get set…" the robot referee said. It didn't say go but it did use a gunfire sound effect to start the dash.
Iida instantly dashed towards the end of the track. Kazuhiro was surprised that Iida could reach a top speed so quickly. As for the girl, jumped across the track. She wasn't as fast as Iida but it will beat most who's stuck running.
"3.04 seconds!" the robot announced Iida ran through. Once the girl went through, it announced, "5.58 seconds!"
"Hm, well Iida is a fish in water for something like this," Aizawa said as he made a note. Kazuhiro watched as the other students used their Quirks for the 50-meter dash. A student named Aoyama used his Quirk to launch himself across the track. Bakugo did the same thing for his Quirk as well.
"Tokoyami! Kimura! You're next!" Aizawa said.
"I guess it's finally time to pull out this bad boy," Kazuhiro said.
"Hm, what do you mean?" Kirishima asked. The Decadriver appeared around Kazuhiro's waist. The pink student, named Mina Ashido, noticed the belt around Kazuhiro's belt.
"Hey, what's that belt around his waist?" Ashido asked.
"Hm, is he trying to copy my style?" Aoyama asked, wearing a belt specifically made for his Quirk. As he walked to the starting point, Kazuhiro inserted the Decade card into the belt.
[KamenRide]
"Transform," Kazuhiro said as he pressed the buckle together.
[Decade!]
Kazuhiro transformed into Decade in front of his class's eyes. A few people were amazed at his transformation.
"What? That's the kind of transformation he has?!" Kirishima asked shouting.
"It looks cool! It's he's already pro!" a blonde student with a black bolt exclaimed. Kazuhiro expected these types of reactions from his classmates. Aizawa did tell him that his powers aren't like anything from this world. Decade stood next to the other student who was participating in the test, Tokoyami, who had a raven or crow head.
"On your mark… get set…" the robot referee said. With the sound of the gunfire, Decade and Tokoyami sprinted to the end of the track. As Decade, Kazuhiro's physical capabilities are enhanced so he's able to perform better than most. So his scores would be above average.
"6.38!" the robot announced as Decade ran through the finish line. "7.12!"
"If I'm doing better than some students, I probably don't need to use the other cards," Decade muttered. He thought that he should only use the cards for emergencies since they need a 24-hour cooldown. For the other tests, like the grip strength and the standing long jump. Decade remained in his form as he joined the rest of the class. Immediately some students crowded him.
"Your Quirk is so cool! You look like a pro already!" Ochaco exclaimed, commenting on his appearance.
"Yeah, I like your shade of pink for that armor!" Ashido said.
"It's not pink, it's magenta," Decade said.
On the side, a student with a ponytail named Yaoyorozu was looking at Decade. She turned to Todoroki, the student with half-white and red hair along with a scar on his left eye.
"I wonder what his transformations allow him to do," Yaoyorozu said with a speculative tone.
"That is an interesting Quirk," Todoroki admitted.
Decade couldn't help but overhear the two talking about him. He knew that being an odd one out, at least secretly the one different from the others, could get attention from everyone. Not only that, he was showered with compliments which wasn't something he was used to having in his homeworld.
After wrapping up the repeated side steps test, Decade joined the rest of his class on the side. Just like the other tests, he performed better than the rest.
"Kimura," a voice called out to him. He turned to his side to see the green-hair.
"Oh, you're Asui, right?" Decade asked.
"It is but can you call me Tsu, please?" the girl requested.
"Right, Tsu," Decade said. He thought, "Skipping to nicknames, already, huh?"
"I just wanted to ask what's the deal with your Quirk."
"My Quirk? What about it?"
"I've seen my fair share of transformation Quirks in television but I haven't seen anything like what you have," Tsuyu said.
"I'm sure there's someone out there with a Quirk like mine," Decade said. Kirishima and Ashido couldn't help but join the conversation once they overheard it.
"Are you kidding, man? Most transformations are straightforward!" Kirishima said, joining the conversation. "You summoned like twenty clones of yourself and merged to form your armor before having your face get slammed by a bunch of squares!"
"And you have to activate it with a card. Like, what's up with that?" Ashido asked.
"I… I wish I could explain it," Decade said. "It's just how it always works."
"I guess it would be hard to figure out how your Quirk works," Tsuyu said. "Although, I wonder if you have multiple cards since they usually come in a collection."
"You're right. Do you have more? Do they do crazy things like summoning monsters?" Ashido asked.
"I have other cards," Decade admitted. He decided to entertain them a bit by playing mysterious. He's currently enjoying the small spotlight he has, something he never really got when he went to high school. It is getting to his head a bit. "I think it will be interesting if you see them in the field."
"Nice! I look forward to working with you! Don't you dare get expelled!" Kirishima exclaimed.
During the softball test the brunette girl used her Quirk to launch the ball high in the air. Her Quirk removes the effects of gravity with everything she touches with her fingertips. The ball was thrown so high to the point that the result was infinity. The next person that was up was Izuku, who was lagging behind everyone. Decade hated to admit it, but out of everyone in Class 1-A, he's the one most likely to get booted. He wasn't able to show off his Quirk once during the entire test.
"It doesn't look good for Midoriya if he continues like this," Iida said.
Huh? Of course not," Bakugo said. "He's a Quirkless small fry, you know."
"How did someone like that get in the school?" Decade thought.
"Quirkless?! Are you not aware of what he did in the entrance exam?" Iida asked.
"Huh?"
Izuku pulled back his arm to prepare the pitch. Telling by the look on his face, he was about to use his Quirk. However, the throw itself looked weak.
"46 meters," the robot announced.
"I was trying to use it just now," Izuku spoke
"I erased your Quirk," Aizawa said. Decade glanced at Aizawa, who had his hair up and scarf floating.
"He must be using his Quirk," Decade said. The only time he tried to use his Quirk was when he tried to disable his powers, but since it wasn't a Quirk, it didn't work.
"What a powerful Quirk," Decade thought. "It looked like Midoriya was going to use his full strength but it just turned into a whimper."
"That entrance exam was not rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted," Aizawa said.
"You erased my Quirk?" Izuku noticed the goggles around his neck Those goggles! I see! You can erase other people's Quirks with your Quirk just by looking at them. The Erasure Hero, Eraser Head!"
"Eraser? I don't know him," a student said.
"I've heard of him. He's an underground hero," another student said.
"From what I can tell, you can't control your Quirk, can you? Do you intend to become incapacitated again and have someone save you?" Aizawa asked bluntly.
"Th-that's not my intention-"
Aizawa pulled Izuku closer to him with his scarf.
"Whatever your intention, I'm saying that's what those around you will be forced to do. In the past, there was an oppressively passionate hero who saved over a thousand people by himself and created a legend. Even if you have the same reckless valor, you'll just be decked and turn into a useless doll after saving one person."
Decade winced at the comment. Even though it wasn't directed at him, he understood the impact of the comment.
"This feels more like boot camp than a school," Decade said.
"Tell me about it," Kirishima said. "Being singled out like that on day one, sheesh."
"Midoriya Izuku. With your power, you can't become a hero," Aizawa freed Izuku from his scarf grasp and lowered his hair. "I've returned your Quirk. You'll have your turn for the ball throw. Hurry up and get it over with."
Aizawa walked away to his original position.
"It looks like he received some advice," Iida said.
"Probably just telling him he's expelled," Bakugo said.
Decade watched as Izuku muttered to himself what to do. From what he can gather, Izuku's Quirk incapacitated him. It probably self-inflicts harm on his body. Izuku looked straight ahead and winded up for a throw.
"Smash!" Izuku cried out. Decade noticed a spark forming on his fingertip. That spark probably launched the softball high in the air with great force. Everyone was amazed by his great display of strength. Aizawa looked at the score and the result was 705 meters.
"Teacher…" Izuku grunted in pain. He raised his arm and formed a fist, with his index finger broken. "I can still move!"
Aizawa smiled, impressed with Izuku's thinking. A student shouted, "He threw it over 700 meters!"
"Finally! A hero-like record!" Uraraka shouted.
"His finger looks swollen," Iida said.
"What is the meaning of this?" Bakugo asked with a harsh tone. He created a small explosion out of frustration. He began to rush towards Izuku, "Hey! Tell me what's going on, Deku, you bastard!"
Aizawa was quick and activated his Quirk on Bakugo. He managed to restrain the explosive teenager with his scarf.
"What the?" Bakugo grunted. "These clothes are hard!"
"They're weapons for capture made of carbon fiber woven together with metal wire made of a special alloy," Aizawa explained. "Jeez. Don't keep making me use my Quirk over and over. I have dry eye."
"I guess that would be the downside of relying on a sight-based Quirk," Decade commented.
"We're wasting time. Whoever's next, get ready," Aizawa said as he freed Bakugo. Decade watched as Izuku walked past Bakugo, who kept his eye on him as he walked away.
"Those two must have some deep history," Decade said.
The rest of the tests went by. Decade managed to do decently with most of the tests. He didn't need to use the other Kamen Rider cards. If he did, he would've passed with flying colors in all of them but that would mean wasting cards and getting tired faster. He has to remain strategic about his card usage.
"Okay, I'll quickly tell you the results. The total is simply the marks you, got from each test. It's a waste of time to explain verbally, so I'll show you the results all at once," Aizawa said as the results were shown. Decade looked for himself on the list and found that he landed in 9th place. Unsurprisingly, Izuku was in last. "By the way, I was lying about the expulsion. It was a rational deception to draw out the upper limits of your Quirks."
"What?!" the class shouted.
"Of course, that was a lie. It should have been obvious if you just thought it through," Yaoyorozu said. Even though he wasn't dead last or in danger of expulsion, it was a relief that Izuku wasn't kicked out of the school. It would've sucked if he got expelled on the very first day.
"Never figured Aizawa as the joking type. Still, I doubt Aizawa would keep pulling jokes like that all the time. There's going to be a time when he's going to consider expulsion," Decade thought. He transformed - changing back into his former attire.
"Must be convenient to carry your costume around," Tsuyu said.
"Yeah, my Quirk has its perks. I'm sure your Quirk has benefits as well," Kazuhiro said.
Tsuyu nodded with a smile.
"Remember, Kazuhiro, you gotta show us what those other cards do!" Kirishima exclaimed as he walked by.
"Yep, you're setting up some high expectations," Ashido said as she followed Kirishima.
"When I start using the cards, it will catch a lot of people off-guard. These powers are the only thing that give me an edge in a world like this," Kazuhiro thought before following them.

That's a wrap for this first batch of chapters. Unfortunately, we've reached the point where you're going to see repeated scenes from the series itself. I'll try to avoid writing just what happens in the source material. My golden rule is that if Kazuhiro was around for it, then I wouldn't write it. The series is after all based on his perspective. I'll do my best to make the cuts but that's going to be a challenge when I write the Sports Festival arc's tournament. I'll figure something out. Anyway, I do have a good chunk of chapters ready to be uploaded but I'll let these three chapters sit to allow people to catch up without feeling overwhelmed.
Anyways, see you guys on Monday!
Shoutout to Forever Dreaming Transcripts for having the scripts of the show.
