Bakugo held onto Tokoyami's beak as Dark Shadow hid behind him in fear. A teardrop was visible in the shadow's eye as it lay in defeat. The explosive teen held his hand up, ready to attack the downed Tokoyami if he tried to fight back.

"Checkmate," Bakugo said.

"I… I give," Tokoyami said with sweat dripping through his feathers.

"Tokoyami surrendered! Bakugo moves on to the next round!" Midnight declared.

Kazuhiro sat on the cot in the nurse's room and watched the match through a television screen. Kazuhiro oversaw each of Bakugo's matches. He hated to admit it but Tokoyami's match against Bakugo was a poor-match up. Tokokyami's weakness against light was heavily exploited by someone who could create several types of explosions, including those that replicate stun grenades. Kazuhiro's fight against Bakugo isn't impossible to win but it's going to be an uphill battle. He's a master of his own Quirk when compared to Kazuhiro, who only had his powers for a few months.

"This is it! We've reached the climax of the tournament! The grand finale!" Present Mic shouted. Kazuhiro and Bakugo stood in the arena. Their classmates are speculating on the match to come.

"Hey, Deku, you knew Bakugo the longest, do you think he has a chance?" Uraraka asked.

"Well, Kimura has been pushing throughout this entire tournament. It all depends if he still has steam to fight," Izuku speculated. "Still, Kacchan shouldn't underestimate Kimura. Throughout the tournament, Kazuhiro found ways to surprise his opponents and catch them off-guard."

Izuku recalled the fights against Shiozaki and Todoroki. Shiozaki couldn't predict Hibiki's flame-based attacks and Todoroki was surprised by Ryuki's dragon and ability to hide in reflections.

"It's the decisive battle of the festival! We'll see who the first-year all-star student will be! It's Katsuki Bakugo versus Kazuhiro Kimura!" Present Mic shouted. "Start!"

Bakugo, like Todoroki and Iida, stayed still. He glared at Kazuhiro and said, "Transform. Now. I want to prove to everyone that no matter how flashy your Quirk is, it pales compared to mine."

"My Quirk is more than just for show," Kazuhiro said as he summoned the Decade Rider Card and the Decadriver. "Transform."

[Kamen Ride: Decade]

Kazuhiro transforms into Decade. He said, "You shouldn't underestimate me. That's how Todoroki lost."

"Tch, as if I care about that half-and-half bastard," Bakugo said. He narrowed his eyes at Kazuhiro. "Come on! Pick a card, dammit! I want to earn my victory so don't hold back!"

[Kamen Ride]

Decade pushed together the Decadriver.

[Zero-One]

A blue frame of a suit appeared in front of Decade before it faced through him. It materialized a black body glove with a grey face and small red decals throughout the body.

[Jump and Rise!]

A giant, yellow grasshopper construct appeared out of nowhere and jumped around before it disassembled and began forming Zero-One's armor.

[Rising Hopper!]

Yellow armored plates began to form around Zero-One's chest, legs and face. The face plate resembled that of a grasshopper and had yellow eyes.

[A jump to the sky turns into a Rider Kick]

"Alright, no holding back on me!" Zero-One exclaimed.

"That's more like it!" Bakugo shouted as he fired to launch himself at Zero-One.

Zero-One slammed his foot on the ground, breaking the concrete beneath his boots. He propelled himself towards his opponent. Bakugo swung his right arm to fire an explosion to knock the Kamen Rider down. However, he didn't expect Zero-One to have a quick reaction.

Zero-One swiftly spun a kick to knock the explosion out of his hand. As he spun, he threw a kick at Bakugo's chest. The added strength of Zero-One's kick flung Bakugo into the sky. Bakugo looked down and saw that he was about to land in the out-of-bounds zone. The explosive teen barely had enough time and blasted the ground, launching himself towards the arena.

"Safe!" Midnight announced. She reminded the audience of the rules. "As long as you don't touch the ground or walls, anything is fair!"

Bakugo glared at Zero-One. He knew fighting Kazuhiro would be annoying. The fact that this is a new Rider concerns him. As far as he knows, he could transform into dozens of sub-forms that have their unique weapon and abilities.

Zero-One and Bakugo rushed toward each other. The explosive teen tried to blast the ground below Zero-One but he leapt over it. Zero-One tried to do a downward kicking as he landed but Bakugo dashed back, surprised by the swiftness of Zero-One. However, Bakugo smirked as the Kamen Rider had his guard down for a moment.

As he landed on the ground, Bakugo swiftly swung his other arm at Zero-One. The Kamen Rider flew back as Bakugo sent an explosion at his chest. It wasn't enough to knock him out of the arena but it was deathly close. Just like Iida, Bakugo waited for Zero-One to make a move. There are just so many unknown factors that there's no way he could predict what Kazuhiro could do. For all he knows, Zero-One could be as fast as Kabuto.

This frustrated Bakugo. He wanted a clear path to his victory but Kazuhiro threw a crate full of wrenches into his plans. Any of his forms give him an edge in certain fields but the explosive teen is determined to destroy anything in his path.

Back in their seats, their classmates were on edge the whole time. Kirishima said, "It's so hard to think who's going to win. Kimura is good but Bakugo just has that raw strength to utterly destroy him."

"Well, he's going to have a harder without those gauntlets that build up his sweat. Kimura doesn't have to worry about that stuff," Tsuyu pointed out.

"He still has his limits," Yaoyorozu said.

Jirou nodded and said, "He constantly talks about having a time limit or something and that each transformation decreases it."

"If he's been transforming this entire festival then I wonder if he has enough energy to make it to the end," Tokoyami said.

Izuku was overhearing his classmate's conversation. He knew Bakugo the longest out of everyone. Out of everyone in the class, Izuku knew that either Kazuhiro or Todoroki would give Bakugo a real challenge.

Back at the arena, Bakugo used his Quirk to fly around Zero-One, using his Quirk to gain speed and momentum. The Kamen Rider tried to track Bakugo, anticipating an attack from any direction. Once he found an angle, Bakugo launched himself at Zero-One.

"Die!" Bakugo shouted as his hands prepared for an attack.

Zero-One quickly dashed to the side and summoned the Attache Calibur, Zero-One's sword. Its current form was a black briefcase with a yellow dash going through. Bakugo quickly stopped his attack once he realized Zero-One was out of the way. The Kamen Rider quickly threw the briefcase at Bakugo's face as he turned around. It bounced off him and Zero-One caught it in his hands. He pulled the bottom of the briefcase and transformed it into a sword.

[Blade Rise]

"I won't be made a fool!" Bakugo shouted as he rushed towards Zero-One.

Zero-One didn't stand idle and rushed forward. Bakugo quickly fired off another explosion from his hands but Zero-One was fast enough to slide under it. He swung his sword at Bakugo, the sword slicing his stomach and leaving sparks upon contact. Bakugo fell to the ground, a visible cut was made on his shirt but there was no bleeding or wound.

With his back facing him, Zero-One quickly dashed forward ready to swing his sword. Bakugo turned around and built an explosion ready to go off in his right hand. He quickly unleashed it on Zero-One, who raised his arms to defend himself. The Attache Calibur flew out of his hands as Zero-One rolled on the ground.

"Don't underestimate me! I will squish you, you damn bug!" Bakugo shouted. Zero-One had a FormRide Card in his hands and inserted it.

[FormRide]

"Not on my watch!" Bakugo yelled as he fired a ranged explosion at Zero-One. It wasn't powerful as he wanted but he needed a way to prevent another transformation. However, it was too late as Zero-One activated the card.

[Freezing Bear]

Before the blast landed on Zero-One, a giant bear stood in its path and covered the Kamen Rider.

[Attention Freeze!]

The bear broke off into small components and attached itself to Zero-One. His mask split open as another one took its place. Other parts of his armor plates began to move around and form a new pattern.

[Freezing Bear!]

Zero-One transformed into a new form. This form had cobalt-blue armor pieces along his arms. It was more armored towards his hands. His shoulder pads and chestpiece were encased in some kind of ice-like material while his helmet had a bear-shaped mask. The collar of the suit was high to simulate the large size of a bear.

[Fierce breathes as cold as Artic winds]

"Bastard! No matter how many forms you take! I'm beating you!" Bakugo said as he launched himself with his explosions. As Bakugo tried to swing his arms to fire another explosion, Zero-One shot out a stream of icy mist at his arms, freezing it. With his other hand, he punched Bakugo in the gut.

Bakugo gritted his teeth as he used his other hand to blow off the ice. Zero-One tried to attack Bakugo by swinging his clawed hands. Bakugo dodged the attacks as he stepped back. He noticed Zero-One opening his palm and knew that he was going to shoot whatever that thing froze his arms. Bakugo dove to the side as Zero-One blasted another stream of mist. He raised both of his hands and blasted an explosion between the two of them, giving the two of them distance.

Bakugo quickly recovered and closed in on Zero-One once more. He was going to attack while the Kamen Rider was getting. up. As soon as Zero-One got on his feet, Bakugo already closed in and fired a quick explosion at him. He fired five consecutive explosions at Zero-One to disorient him. Bakugo pulled back his arm and blasted the Kamen Rider with a powerful blast.

Zero-One landed on his back and somehow reverted to his base form. He looked at his arms to see as it blurred between Decade's and Zero-One's form. This is probably a sign that the Kamen Rider was reaching his limit after using so many cards in one day.

"Uh-Oh! Looks like Bakugo melted away Kimura's ice!" Present Mic shouted.

Even though that wasn't the case, Bakugo was convinced that his strength reverted Zero-One to his base form. Zero-One tried to summon a new card but couldn't.

"Dammit, worse time to short-circuit," Zero-One muttered. He thought, "It was only a matter of time before something like this happened."

The explosive teen saw the opening now that Zero-One was weak. He charged at Zero-One he pulled back his arm and let out a massive blast. He shouted, "Die!"

Zero-One quickly rolled back, narrowly dodging the attack. Despite being reduced to his base form, Zero-One still posed a threat to Bakugo's victory. Once he recovered, he dashed forward and tried to kick Bakugo down. Zero-One swiftly moved forward and used his other leg to kick him in the waist. Bakugo fired a quick explosion at the ground to disorient Zero-One but he leaped into the air and landed on the ground safely.

The two kept their distance, with Bakugo losing his patience with how long this match went. The Kamen Rider wanted to end the fight quickly as he was starting to run out of steam. He glanced at Bakugo and noticed his arms were twitching as well.

Bakugo gritted his teeth and declared, "I'm going to crush you!"

Bakugo started to push his Quirk to the limit. He wasn't going to hold back on the Kamen Rider. He began to use his Quirk by launching himself back. Zero-One could see this is Bakugo's desperate move. He summoned a Final AttackRide Card and inserted it into his belt.

[Final AttackRide: Ze-Ze-Ze-Zero-One!]

Bakugo began spinning as he propelled himself forward, spinning as he built momentum. He shouted, "Howitzer…!

Zero-One jumped into the air and extended his leg as he dove forward at high speed. A trail of yellow light followed him. A construct of a grasshopper's leg formed.

[Rising…!]

Bakugo's explosion clashed with Zero-One's Rider Kick.

"Impact!"/[Impact!]

The amount of force and energy both attacks launch both participants through the wall. It happened so fast that it looked like it happened in an instant.

"Woah! It looks like both opponents knock each other out at the same!" Present Mic shouted. "Does that mean we ended in a tie!?"

"Another tie?!" Kirishima asked.

"They probably need to do a tie-breaker, it's hard to tell who won!" Hagakure said.

"The only way to determine the winner is to see who collided with the wall first," Aizawa spoke.

"Good call! Can we get a replay!?" Present Mic requested.

The slow-motion replay of Zero-One and Bakugo flying towards the wall is played on the big monitor.

"Oh, man, this is nerve-wracking," Kaminari said as he leaned in.

Bakugo managed to recover first and saw the video being played. The video slowed down before stopping when Bakugo hit the wall first.

"Bakugo is eliminated! The winner is Kimura!" Midnight was announced as the crowd roared.

"And that means Kimura wins first place in the First-Year Sports Festival!" Present Mic shouted.

"Looks like 1-A took the spotlight, again," Monoma complained.

"Don't be a spoilsport. They won fair and square," Kendo said.

"Tch, fair and square," Monoma still believed that Kazuhiro didn't have a Quirk. He had a hunch that something was going on with him that put him in a different position, which explains why 1-A has 21 students.

Meanwhile, Bakugo watched as Decade stood back up and recovered. He couldn't believe that he lost by being a few seconds too early by hitting a wall first. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Hey! I'm not done! I want a rematch dammit!"

Decade glanced at Bakugo, confused. He was barely conscious and wasn't aware that he won.

"You think you're tough shit because you have all those damn cards and those stupid forms!" Bakugo shouted. "Fight me! Dammit!"

Midnight turned off her microphone piece. She said sternly, "Bakugo! Stand now!"

"This was supposed to be my day! My time to shine! Where the hell did someone like you come from!" Bakugo rushed towards Decade with an explosion forming in his hand. "I'll… I'll…"

Bakugo started to lose consciousness thanks to Midnight utilizing her Quirk. Her sleeve was slightly ripped as she needed to expose her skin. Decade watched as Bakugo stumbled forward as he passed out. Their classmates weren't surprised that Bakugo wouldn't take his loss well but they didn't expect him to attack Kazuhiro.

Kazuhiro walked down the stadium hallway. There was a small intermission between the last match and the closing ceremony. Turning the corner, he saw the visitor leaning against the wall.

"I've watched your match, pretty impressive stuff," the visitor said.

"Thanks," Kazuhiro said as he walked past him.

"If it were Tsukasa, he wouldn't be glitch the way you did," the visitor said as he followed him.

Kazuhiro turned around and asked, "What do you want?"

"I just wanted to see the winner in person. It's impressive, but you're nowhere near facing Hundred," the visitor said. Kazuhiro summoned the Decadriver and the Decade Rider Card.

"Is this another test from Narutaki?" Kazuhiro asked. With a smirk, they swiftly drew a blue pistol, one with a slot to insert a card on the side. He quickly shot the card out of Kazuhiro's hand.

"No need to be so hostile. I'm just a passing-through spectator," the visitor said. An Aurora Curtain formed in front of the visitor. "I'll be seeing you around, Decade."

Kazuhiro picked up the Decade card before de-materializing it and the driver.

Shortly after Kazuhiro's victory against Bakugo, all of the students were gathered for the closing ceremony. There was a podium, on stage where the victors stood. At the top was Kazuhiro and to his right was Bakugo, who was chained up. He was still very pissed off at losing the final match, which he believed was supposed to be his victory. To Kazuhiro's left were Tokoyami and Todoroki, both of them ranked third.

"Now, let's move on to the awards ceremony!" Midnight shouted. "Presenting them this year is… you know who!"

"I am…" All Might made a giant leap from an area outside the arena and landed on stage.

"Here with the medals!"/ "He's everyone's hero All Might!"

Midnight closed her hands together and muttered," Sorry for cutting you off…"

The visitor slightly tilted his hat up, taking a good look at All Might. He said, "So this is All Might, the supposed number 1 hero."

All Might went up to the third-place podium first. He gave the medal to Tokoyami before hugging him. He said to him, "Hone your innate strength to open a world of opportunity Relying on your Quirk alone won't be enough to overcome a matchup.

"Understood," Tokoyami said as he looked at the medal.

"Young Todoroki, congratulations," All Might said as he gave Todoroki his medal. "You didn't hesitate to go use your left side during the match. What made you use it?

"It was Kimura. He allowed me to see that holding back isn't going to be enough to be a hero like you," Todoroki spoke. Kazuhiro overheard and smirked as he looked forward, pretending to not hear anything. "There's still some things I have to settle first."

All Might squeezed Todoroki and said, "That's a new look I'm seeing on your face. Say no more. Whatever you must settle, I'm sure you can do it."

"Young Bakugo, you're powerful and it's because of that you got so far, "All Might said as he approached Bakugo. He removed the muzzle from his mouth.

"That doesn't matter! It doesn't mean squat if I'm not first! I don't recognize this victory!" Bakugo shouted.

Kazuhiro winced as he overheard Bakugo. He muttered, "They might as well not have him up here if he's going to be this bitter."

"There aren't many who can achieve what you can do so be fortunate in your position. So accept this! Even if it's a wound, don't forget what happened today," All Might said. He tried to put Bakugo's medal over his head but he refused.

"I don't need that junk!" Bakugo shouted. Bakugo bit on the neck ribbon of the medal.

"There we go!" All Might said. Finally, he went up to Kazuhiro. All Might walked up to Kazuhiro. "And finally, we have Young Kimura!"

"I'm sure wherever your family is, they would be proud of what you accomplished today," All Might said as he gave Kazuhiro his medal. "You've come so far ever since you've arrived."

"Thanks," Kazuhiro said.

Inside Kazuhiro, a growing determination flickered. The fact that he reached first place in the UA Sports Festival must mean that he's already excelling in his studies at the school. This meant his path to becoming a hero was progressing beyond his expectations. Not only that, he began to wonder if his parents would be proud if he was up here. Of course, he knew that his brother and friends would be excited to see him succeed but it's tricky to think what his parents would. Kazuhiro pushed these thoughts of uncertainty to the side, accepting his victory.

"Hopefully one day they can see me for what I'm becoming," Kazuhiro smiled.

"I'm sure they will," All Might said as he embraced Kazuhiro.

All Might turned to the crowd. He shouted, "Well, these are your winners! But hold on, everyone!"

"Everyone here today has the potential to stand on these podiums! But as you all witnessed! Competition! Encouragement! Pushing each other to climb higher and higher!" All Might exclaimed. "The sprouts of today will grow into the heroes of tomorrow! In that, spirit let's have one more final cheer! Everyone say it with me! One, two, and…"

"Thanks for the hard work!"/ "Plus Ultra!" the crowd cheered.

"Aren't you supposed to say "Plus Ultra"?" Midnight asked.

"Oh right," All Might chuckled nervously. "It's just that they really did work so hard…"

Shigaraki was watching the closing ceremony. He narrowed his eyes as he watched Kazuhiro accept his medal.

"He could be a problem later down the line," Shigaraki said. There was silence from the second monitor. Shigaraki turned to the monitor and asked, "Master?"

"This young man has a fascinating Quirk. You're right in that his powers may be a problem but I wish to claim it for myself," the voice from the monitor spoke.

"Hm, I see," Shigaraki said as he narrowed his eyes at Kazuhiro.

"For the first time in a long time, they finally have a student worth my interest."

Later that day, everyone returned to school to wrap up the day. As they took their seats, Kazuhiro noticed that Iida was gone. He turned to Izuku.

"Hey, Midoriya, where's Iida? I noticed that there's been a lack of yelling down my ear," Kazuhiro said.

"Oh, Iida had a family emergency," Izzuku explained.

"Sheesh, I hope he's alright."

"I hope so too," Izuku said as his eyes gazed down. Telling by Izuku's eyes, it must've been something serious.

Once everyone was there, Aizawa stood in front with an announcement to end the day.

"In light of the festival, you'll have tomorrow and the next day off.," Aizawa said. "Scouting reports and such from the pros will be waiting for you here after the break. So look forward to that as you enjoy your time off."

"Scouting reports?" Kazuhiro muttered.

"I guess since Pro Heroes were watching us, some of them must want to work with us," Kirishima explained.

"Working with a Pro, huh?"

"It will be a great experience if you have a little hands-on experience with them," Aizawa said.

"Everyday this school is proving its worth of being called the school with the best hero course," Kazuhiro thought.

Author's Corner

Sorry for the delay everyone! I just wanted to make sure that this chapter was grammatically correct as possible! If anyone is interested in becoming a beta for the story. Just DM! I'm just looking for someone to look out for any grammatical errors I may make in the future.

Anyway, I got a lot of suggestions for using certain Riders for the story. As you can see, I already planned on using Zero-One because we haven't had a Reiwa Rider used yet. Might as well start with the very first one!

Also, for some of those frequent reviewers, I've been sending some DM to respond to your messages so you won't have to wait a week. Not exactly trying to start a whole convo but still thought it would be a good way to keep you from waiting eagerly for a response.

Response Corner

BetterKYS (from chapter 13): Double or Build would've been the obvious choice since they have a half-and-half power system but I think Ryuki works better thematically because of the ability to use reflections and to push Todoroki to think about his future and what kind of hero he wants to be.

Raidentensho (from chapter 13): In my opinion, I don't think people would be that enamored by Decade's various forms. I think the idea that he transforms into several Riders is what captures people's attention. After all, they live in a world full of superheroes so there are all sorts of heroes. Kazuhiro doesn't have the charisma that his predecessors have.

MKH301 (from chapter 13): Okay, English is my first language it's just that my brain just gaps a lot. Sometimes I forget words and such. Really bad habit. Secondly, I rely on Grammarly, but that doesn't capture every mistake I make. I'm just too busy to read through them before posting. But thanks for the major heads-up! I'll probably clean up everything when this story arc wraps up. Take a week or two from posting and fixing up everything.

The idea of Kazuhiro learning how to use Aurora Curtains is just a testament to how far he's grown since becoming Decade. However, just like his other powers, he still needs to learn how to control it. So don't expect him to visit the various A.R. worlds anytime soon.

I was thinking more of a super form, to be honest. They were interchangeable, but now I'm starting to understand their meaning and differences. I have a few ideas, either making him switch between any Rider form in an instant or summoning Rider clones to fight alongside him. The leftover power will go to the final form regardless of what I pick for the super form. R

As for Revice, they are already a part of Decade's kit. Decade transforms into Revi while also summoning a Vice clone to fight alongside him.

IzukuIchimonji (from chapter 13): That's pretty much my take on the whole thing. Then again, any post-series form wouldn't be considered the final form since most pieces of Kamen Rider media depicts PuToTyra as the final form despite Super TaToBa existing.

Guest (from chapter 13): I don't really have anything against those who write these types of stories where the MC gets isekai'd into another world and their toy belt becomes the real thing. My only "gripe" is that there's an off-balance between genuine crossovers and these self-insert isekais.
