"We're almost there!" a firefighter shouted as he busted through the front door. She escorted a civilian out of a flaming building. Why the fire started remained a mystery however there are still people trapped inside. Kamui and the interns arrived at the scene.
"Thank god you guys are here! There's still someone trapped inside!" the civilian shouted after he coughed.
"Dammit, I can't do much given the nature of my Quirk," Kamui said.
"Same. My vines are useless," Shiozaki said.
"Don't worry," Decade said as he summoned a Rider Card.
[KamenRide: Fourze]
Decade transformed into Fourze. He drew a FormRide card and said, "I'll get them out of there."
[FormRide: Fire States]
Fire engulfed Fourze, transforming him into another form.
[Fire on!]
Most of Fourze's suit was now red, save for the boots and left gauntlet. A fire decal was printed on the face of Fourze, whose eyes were now green. The orange printed on the suit was now silver. Silver shoulder pads with triangular plates with printed flame decals were added to the overall costume. A flamethrower called the Hee-HackGun was Fourze's weapon in this form. Fourze split the Hee-HackGun and attached the rear end to his side.
"Do you know where this person is?" Fourze asked.
"Second floor!" the civilian answered.
"Are you sure you can handle this, Decade?" Kamui asked.
"I'll be fine. Isn't my first time brushing up against fire," Fourze said. He charged in, using the Hee-HackGun as a fire extinguisher to create a safe path for him. The heat and smoke were intense as he went further into the building, luckily the suit was vacuumed seal and made for harsh environments. Fourze reacted to the stairs and ran up them. he reached the second floor but the door to it was jammed. He drew an AttackRide card and inserted it into the Decadriver.
[AttackRide: Hammer]
The head of a mallet materialized over Fourze's left hand. He used it to break through the door. The floor was an office and Fourze scanned the area. He thought, "This is a lot of ground to cover dammit."
He summoned an AttackRide card and used it.
[AttackRide: Foodroids]
The Hammer Module disappeared from his hand in place was a small white box. The box opened up and four nugget-shaped droids called Tsunuggets flew out of the box. They all hovered in front of Decade.
"Alright guys, we're looking for a single civilian. Split and sweep!" Fourze ordered. The Foodroids hummed as they flew in different directions. Fourze began shooting an extinguisher to clear the area and suppress the fire before it got too devastating. Suddenly a Foodroid flew in front of him to get his attention Fourze followed him to a closet, where someone was banging on the door. It was blocked by a large, flat piece of debris. Fourzee drew out another card and inserted it into his belt.
[AttackRide: Winch]
Fourze stabbed the hook of the winch onto the piece of debris and used it to pull it off. The civilian suddenly burst through the door and began to cough as their face was met with a large amount of smoke. Foruze quickly approached the civilians and grabbed them by the wrist.
"Come with me!" Fourze shouted. He quickly escorted the civilian to a window and smashed it open. Kamui and Shiozaki looked up to see Fourze waving for their attention. The civilian leaned out of the window to gasp for some air. Kamui extended his arms to reach them and Fourze. He helped them get down from the fiery floor of the building. The civilian coughed as they probably got a lot of smoke in their lungs. An EMT on the scene helped the civilian get to an ambulance.
"Thank goodness you saved that lost lamb," Shiozaki said. "I'm glad that God is watching you, even if your heart is slightly tainted by the Devil."
Fourze rolled his eyes beneath his helmet.
"That was a close call, but you did good, De- I mean, Fourze," Kamui said as he corrected himself.
"Don't sweat it with the names, just call me Decade if it's easier," the Kamen Rider replied.
"Regardless, you've already proven your worth in my eyes."
The Pro Hero and interns noticed that the press was on the scene, taking photos of the Pro Hero and the two UA students.
"They're so quick to get here," Shiozaki commented.
"Of course, news organizations have press at almost every corner of the city. They want to be the first ones to get a scoop on the scene," Kamui said.
"Hey, those are the finalists from the Sports Festival," a civilian in the crowd said.
"Yeah, I recognize that girl but I don't know about the guy on the right," another commented.
"That's the guy who won the Festival! The one with the transformations!"
Kamui waved at the crowd and tilted his head towards the students. He said to them, "Looks like the two of you are already making an impression on the public."
Shiozaki kept a neutral expression as rested his hand on his hip.
The top-hat-wearing Bugster materialized on top of a building. He looked down and saw the neon signs lighting up as the evening kicked in. He spotted a jumbotron that had the news channel on.
"It looks like the first-year students seen during the UA Sports Festival are now under the wings of several Hero Agencies for work-study. Normally, internships and such are for second-year students but this year's class looked promising," the reporter said. "It was barely a month ago when UA was attacked and the first-year students held their own against a massive wave of villains."
The jumbotron showed the aftermath of the USJ attack.
"We didn't see their skills until the Sports Festival earlier this month," the reporter said. Several clips of the Sports Festival were played out. One of these clips was Kazuhiro as Kamen Rider Zero-One, with the Decadriver on full display. "With such a promising start, folks can't wait to see their growth over the years."
"Ohohohoho, very interesting," the top-hat-wearing villain commented.
The next morning, Kamui Woods brought the students to an open area in the forest. Another Pro Hero was present, a sidekick named Beekeeper. The man was dressed in a white beekeeper suit, his face obstructed by the veil. Other than some padding for protection. There were zippers, however, it seems that the puller was nowhere to be seen.
"Students, I would like to meet my sidekick, Beekeeper," Kamui said.
"Nice to meet you," Beekeeper bowed his head. "Sorry that we couldn't meet a few days ago, I was doing contract work for a gardening company."
"You have another job outside of being a sidekick?" Kazuhiro asked.
Beekeeper nodded and said, "Sometimes being a sidekick isn't enough to support the bills, especially if you have family. So, boss, what's the plan today?"
"Today, we're going to train your Quirks," Kamui said.
Kazuhiro raised his hand, "Sorry, sir, I'm just confused about the order of things. Yesterday we went on patrol and only today we're training?"
"I wish to help you two grow as much as you can. Now that you two have faced villains and used your Quirks in public, it's time to grow those Quirks with those experiences."
"This is far different from what I expected in this internship," Shiozaki commented with Kazuhiro nodding.
"While he may act like a traditional hero in public, Kamui's as a superior is anything but" Beekeeper commented.
Kamui did a light chuckle before going back on topic. He said, "I would like to work with you today, Shiozaki. Since our Quirks work similarly, I'm hoping to pass on what I know to you."
Shiozaki nodded and said, "I'll be honored."
Kamui turned to Kazuhiro and said, "And I want you to train with Beekeeper. I can tell you're a good fighter but it never hurts to refine your skills."
Kazuhiro nodded. Kamui took Shiozaki to another part of the forest.
Beekeeper chuckled and turned to Kazuhiro. He said, "Don't hold back on me kid. You may have all those special suits and powers, but I'm still a Pro Hero for a reason."
Kazuhiro blinked, "So we're going straight to combat training?"
"Kamui said that you're more geared towards combat, so I'd like to hone in on that part," Beekeeper said. He took Kazuhiro to another part of this forest.
The area that Beekeeper took Kazuhiro was a large clearing in the park. The Bee-themed hero cleared his throat and said, "This forest is owned by a branch of the government that manages us, Heroes. It's an area where we can test out our Quirks."
"Other than being outdoors, what makes this area different than the usual Quirk facilities in the city?" Kazuhiro asked.
"Facilities are meant for those learning how to use their Quirks for the first time, this area is for us heroes to go all out."
"I think I get it," Kazuhiro nodded. "This is like the facilities we have in UA."
"Exactly," Beekeeper said. He asked, "So, let's do a little warm-up…"
The zippers on Beekeeper's suit began to slowly unzip. Bees started to fly out of it. He said, "My Quirk is Swarm. My body transforms and generates bees that follow my every command. While this Quirk is good for crowd control, the stingers leave quite a nasty pinch."
As Beekeeper explained his Quirk, a large swarm of bees formed behind him. He said, "So here's the gist of this exercise. It's a simple gallery shoot. The bees will circle you in groups. Destroy enough bees in a group, they'll disperse and count as a target eliminated. Be careful, they'll make a mad dash to sting you."
"Sounds pleasant," Kazuhiro spoke with sarcasm.
"Haha, I'll let you get ready," Beekeeper said. Decade pulled out a card and inserted it into his belt.
[Kamen Ride]
"Transform!"
[Decade!]
Kazuhiro transformed into Decade. Beekeeper scratched the back of his head and asked, "Is the whole shouting thing necessary?"
"..." Decade remained silent before saying, "It helps me get motivated."
Beekeeper summoned five small swarms of bees. They began circling Decade, who summoned the Ride Booker. He looked around, watching the speed as they flew. Decade felt a sharp sting on his neck. He smacked his neck and grabbed whatever stung him. It was a bee. Upon closer inspection, it looked like any other bee you'd see in the wild.
"You know what they say, pain is a great motivator," Beekeeper said. "Imagine that sting but multiplied by that by 100. It may be nonlethal but it's going be very unleasant"
"Considered me motivated," Decade said as he aimed the Ride booker.
The swarms of bees began to fly around Decade. The Kamen Rider's eyes tracked on group before blasting. It took multiple shots before the bees dispersed. The sound of a swarm buzzing behind him got louder. Decade swiftly turned and blasted another incoming group before it dispersed. His focus went into another swarm in his field of view.
Decade missed his shots. Another swarm of bees swopped in from the side. Decade tried to dodge but his left was caught in the swarm. While his wrist was protected by armor, the area above it wasn't. He felt multiple stings. It wasn't exactly 100, it was more like seven. It was clear that the 100x stinging was a bluff to keep him on edge.
Decade clenched his fist in pain. He summoned an AttackRide card and slid it into the Decadriver.
[AttackRide: Blast]
Decade began shooting at the swarms of bees. The afterimages of the Ride Booker were pointed inward to create a more concreted barrage. Two swarms of bees were wiped out quickly when Decade focused on shooting them down. The fifth and final swarm of bees tried to ambush from the side. Decade turned, swinging the Ride Booker as it transformed into a sword. The blade sliced through the swarm of bees, and they instantly dispersed.
"Nice, let's up the ante a bit," Beekeeper said as the large swarm splintered into smaller swarms.
Decade pulled out a Kamen Rider card and inserted it into the belt.
[Kamen Ride]
Decade pushed the belt together.
[Wizard!]
A magical circle materialized next to Decade. It slowly slid through him, transforming him into Kamen Rider Wizard.
[Fire! Fire! Fire Fire Fire!]
Kamen Rider Wizard wore an open, black trenchcoat. On the middle of the coat were red gems studded onto it. Beneath the coat was a large gem as a chestpiece. His helmet was a red gem on a silver frame. The face of the helmet was a red gem and the frame shaped the eyes of the helmet On Wizard's left hand was a ring with the helmet's face. His right also had another ring as well, except it had an orange gem. His wrists had red cuff pieces.
Wizard summoned the WizardSwordGun, Wizard's primary weapon. It was a large, silver gun with a closed hand attached to it.
"Looks like you're ready…" Beekeeper said as the small swarm of bees circled him.
When the bees fully circled him, the bees began to fly in circles, maintaining their small swarms. The circle began to close in on him.
"Training with Pros is no joke!" Wizard thought.
The Kamen Rider began shooting at the many swarms that circling him. The bullets he fired were silver ones, and they were specifically made to do light homing. The bullets curved to hit through the swarm of bees. Two bee swarms flew in, prompting Wizard to jump over them in a twirl. He inserts an AttackRide card for emergency.
[AttackRide]
Wizard dodged another attack from two more swarms. He continued to shoot any swarms the bullets could lock on. Three bee swarms tried to jump at Wizard. He pressed on the driver.
[Defend!]
The Kamen Rider raised his left arm, and a fiery dome formed in front of him at the last second, incinerating the smaller swarms that tried to attack him. Wizard noticed the swarm closing in. He presses on the thumb of the hand, which opens the palm.
[C'mon and shoot! Shake hands!]
Wizard side-stepped to avoid another swarm of bees.
[Flame! Shooting Strike!]
A red magical circle formed at the barrel of the WizardSwordGun,
[Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire! Fire!]
Wizard fired flaming bullets from the barrel of his gun. Each bullet burst in flames, wiping large chunks of the swarm in just a few shots. Wizard spun in a total of 360 degrees to ensure that every last bee was incinerated. However, one stray bullet blew up on Beekeeper's face.
"Oh, crap!" Wizard shouted before sprinting toward the Bee Hero. "I'm so so-"
However, an Aurora Curtain appeared before him last second.
"It's alright, Kimura…" Beekeeper groaned. He got up and looked around. "Kimura?"
"-rry!" Wizard shouted as he ran through an Aurora Curtain. He looked around to see himself in an abandoned warehouse. The realization hits the Kamen Rider's head. He shouted, "Dammit!"
"You might want to cool down, Decade," the visitor said as he walked on the catwalk above. "You're nowhere unsafe."
"Bullshit, last time I got pulled through one of these another Kamen Rider tried to kill me," Wizard said. He recognized the man. "Wait a minute, you're the guy from the Sports Festival."
The visitor smirked, "Good memory."
An Aurora Curtain appeared next to him before he walked it, appearing right below the catwalk and in front of Wizard. He took off his hat, revealing he had neck-length, black hair. He pulled out a blue pistol with a very rectangular design.
"I'm Daiki Kaito, Tsukasa's partner as he traveled through the many parallel worlds," the visitor introduced himself. He pulled out a Rider Card from a cardholder and inserted it into the gun through a small slot on the side.
[Kamen Ride]
Kazuhiro gasped softly, trying to mask his bewilderment. He knew he was going to face another Kamen Rider, meaning this was just another test that Kazuhiro had to reluctantly agree to do. Daiki smirked, seeing Kazuhiro's surprise through his small movement.
Daiki aimed his gun up in the air and shouted, "Transform!" He then pulled the trigger.
[Diend!]
If that gun works the same way as the Decadriver, then that means Diend is the identity of this Kamen Rider. The transformation was similar to Decade's. Three afterimages of Diend r suit circled him as multiple bars flew in the sky. They merged into Daiki, forming his suit, which was similar to Decade's, however, his torso and shoulder pieces were shaped like lined-up barcodes. Speaking of bars, the ones in the sky flew down into Diend's helmet, popping out of it. Instead of magenta, the suit was cyan-colored. Any white that was in Decade's suit was replaced with that shade of blue.
"Of course, most people know me as Kamen Rider Diend."
"So what is this? Is this supposed another test?" Wizard asked.
"Consider this training between fellow Kamen Riders," Diend said as he aimed his gun, the Diendriver, at Wizard.
"Why does every Kamen Rider I meet attack me?" Wizard asked rhetorically in a low voice. The Kamen Rider aimed his weapon at Diend. He raised his voice and asked, "Training? Sorry, but I'm not trusting a random stranger who unpromptly shot me."
"Heh, if I recall, you pulled your card first," Diend pointed out. "Put that's in the past, so let's cut to the chase, this is a monthly check-up, to see how far UA's training got you."
"A check-up? I think at the pace I'm at, I'm good. After all, I did win the Sports Festival. I'm at least keeping up with the pace of my classmates," Wizard said.
"Just because you think you're ahead of your classmates because you won a trivial competition means nothing when the people hunting you are world conquerors," Diend said. He and Wizard pace around each other, their weapons trained on each other. "Playing a superhero isn't going to get you ready, so consider this keeping you on edge."
"Fine," Wizard said.
"Good," Diend replied. He didn't wait a second and began blasting at Wizard. The ring-slinging Kamen Rider staggered as the bullets sent sparks flying across his chest. Wizard opened the hand unit attached to his weapon.
[C'mon and shoot! Shake hands!]
Diend pulled out an AttackRide card and slid into his gun.
[AttackRide]
Wizard inserted his ring hand over the weapon.
[Flame! Shooting strike!]
Kamen Rider Wizard swerved his arm, firing several fireballs in Diend's direction. Wizard blasted in a cone, hoping to cover a wide area. Diend aimed the Diendriver before pulling the trigger.
[Barrier!]
The Diendriver projected a large barrier in front of him. The fireballs directly in front of Diend erupted when they impacted the barrier. As the smoke cleared, Diend remained standing while surrounded by fire. Diend closed the distance between him and Wizard in a burst of speed. He dashed through him, striking him with a jab.
Wizard staggered back before turning around to face Diend. The cyan-colored Rider turned around and used the motion to build up a kick. The powerful kick landed on Wizard's stomach, flying back. The ring-bearing Kamen Rider transformed the WizarSwodGun into its sword form.
Wizard swung at Diend but the Kamen Rider managed to block his attack. Their weapons were locked. With a single shove forward, Diend managed to push away Wizard, knocking him slightly off balance. No exposed, Wizard was riddled with bullets from Diend. Sparks flew off Wizard.
"This guy is way tougher than anyone. I can't even get a dent on him!" Wizard thought as he slowly stood up. "I'm dealing with someone who's experienced, probably makes a Pro's pale in comparison!"
"This might be a good opportunity to go on a little test drive with these," Diend said as he pulled out a Rider card. Diend inserts it into the Diendriver.
[Kamen Ride]
"Should I be surprised that he could use the Kamen Ride Cards?"Wizard muttered. Diend aimed his gun up high before pulling the trigger.
[Tycoon!]
Several afterimages of Kamen Rider Tycoon appeared in front of Diend: blue, green, and blue. These afterimages merge into one, transforming into the Kamen Rider himself.
"This is objectively worse," Wizard muttered. Summoning a Kamen Rider meant that Wizard was going to be outnumbered. He thought that it should be given that any Kamen Rider like Tycoon would carry his experience with him. So not only is he outmatched but outnumbered.
Tycoon wore a green helmet with red eyes in the shape of a raccoon. The Kamen Rider wore a small, silver chestpiece with a green outline. Two red gears were visible at the top of this chestpiece. He also wore two green shoulderpads with a red stripe across them. His arms had green plating on his arms, with a grey chainmail pattern in the center. Shurikens were attached to each of his arms. There was a green band on his right thigh.
As for Tycoon's belt, the Desire Driver, it consisted of a base with three slots, two of which were filled. The left slot and right slot were identical but only the right one had a Raise Buckle attached, the primary item that allowed Tycoon to transform. The Raise Buckle was green, with a Shuriken attached to it. In the center was a small slot for an ID Core, which is a circular trinket with Tycoon's face attached to it. Diend was equipped with the In Tycoon's hand was the Ninja Dueler, a double-sided blade.
"Meet Kamen Rider Tycoon," Diend said. "One of the newer Kamen Riders to come into being. Our friend Narutaki managed to get sufficient data to create a Rider Card of their likeness."
Diend stepped back, walking into an Aurora Curtain. He said, "He's going to entertain you."
The Aurora Curtain disappears along with Diend. That signaled Tycoon to move in to attack. Wizard blocked the initial attack and kicked Tycoon in the stomach to push him away. The Ninja Rider separated the Ninja Dueler into twin blades. He held both swords in a reverse grip. Wizard transformed his weapon into a gun.
Tycoon blocked the bullets fired at him before vanishing into a puff of smoke. Wizard heard another pop above him and turned around to see Tycoon dashing towards him with both blades pointed at him. He swiftly dodged the ninja Rider's attack by rolling out of the way towards his. When Tycoon landed, Wizard was right behind him.
Wizard swiftly spun around and used the motion to swing his sword. Sparks flew Tycoon's back as he fell forward. As he tried to stand up, Tycoon saw Wizard charging. The ninja Rider swept the twin blades at the ground but Wizard was quick to leap Tycoon and slashed across his neck. When Wizard landed, Tycoon quickly recovered and swung the twin blades once again.
Wizard quickly blocked one attack before rolling back to avoid the other. He one of the blades off Tycoon's hand before thrusting the WizarSwordGun at Tycoon's gut, sending him back. Wizard took a few steps back and pulled out a Final AttackRide card.
[Final AttackRide]
Wizard inserts it into his belt.
[Wi-Wi-Wi-Wizard!]
A magical circle materialized beneath Wizard's right foot. A fire ignited beneath his feet.
[Very nice! Kick Strike!]
Wizard jumped in the air and spun around a bit. Another magical circle appeared between him and Tycoon.
[Fabulous!]
When Wizard's foot connected with the circle, it was pushed alongside him. Wizard's kick connected with Tycoon's chest, sending them flying far back. The ninja Rider blew up as Wizard twirled around and fixed his coat. He then quickly transformed back into Decade.
"Not bad, Decade," Diend said as an Aurora Curtain formed in front of Decade. He walked through it with two more cards.
He inserts the two Rider cards into the Diendriver.
[Kamen Ride: Buffa! Na-Go!]
With a pull of a trigger, he summoned two more Kamen Riders. The one on the right wasBuffa, a bull-themed Rider, armed with the Zombie Breaker, chainsaw. He wore purple armor with grey shoulderpads and orange spikes popping out of them. The buffalo Rider also wore a half-purple waist cape around his ride side and a gauntlet with orange claws on his left arm.
The second Rider was Na-Go, a cat-themed Rider armed with the Beat Axe, a guitar-axe hybrid with an axe at the bottom of the guitar. Her armor was decked out in music-themed gear. Her chestpiece was a volume var with speakers on her shoulderpads. Both Riders had a similar belt to Tycoon except their ID Cores matched with their respective symbol. Buffa's buckle had his claw while Na-Go's was a keyboard.
"Seriously, what are you hoping to get out of this encounter?" Decade said.
"I want to push you to your limits. Someone who inherited Tsukasa's power shouldn't be a slacker," Diend said.
"And you think kicking my ass would do that?" Decade said.
"A Kamen Rider doesn't back down from a fight, even if's against their odds."
Decade groaned and summoned a Ricer Card. He inserted it into his belt.
[Kamen Ride]
He pushed the belt together.
[Den-O!]
Decade transformed into Den-O.
[Sword form!]
"Fine, let's just get this over with. I'm pretty sure my work study trainer is panicking right now," Den-O said as he summoned the DenGasher. Diend chuckled before Buffa and Na-Go charged at Den-O.
Den-O clashed with Buffa before headbutting him to push him back. Na-Go followed up with a downward swing which was blocked. Den-O quickly kicked him on the leg to make her lose balance before swinging the DenGasher at his chest.
Outside, a railway inspector was whistling as he walked alongside the track. He stopped when he heard the sounds of swords clashing and a chainsaw revving.
"What's going on?" the inspector said as he quietly snuck up to the building. He took a peak through a door and saw Den-O fending himself from Buffa and Na-Go. The inspector quickly went into cover and pulled out his phone.
Den-O couldn't do much against two opponents. He stayed on the defensive as Na-Go and Buffa were relentless on the attack. Buffa pulled on the pump on the side of the Zombie Breaker.
[Poison charge!]
With a pull of the trigger, the engine of the Zombie Breaker went berserk, increasing the speed and strength of the chainsaw.
[Tactical Break!]
Den-O raised the DenGasher and blocked the oncoming attack. However, the Zombie Breaker was slowly tearing through Den-O's sword and eventually broke. Buffa began to slide the chainsaw across Den-O's chest from downward before kicking him away. Na-go got in front with a follow-up attack. She pressed on a key on the Beat Axe.
[Rock Fire!]
With a pull of the trigger, the blade on the Beat Axe ignited fire.
[Tactical Fire!]
Na-Go swung the Beat Axe, unleashing a wave of fire at Den-O. The impact of the explosion sent Den-O flying through a wall. Diend teleported himself onto a nearby catwalk that overlooked an entire area. He's aware that he's being tough on Kazuhiro but he needs a wake-up call to keep him on edge and understand the gravity of the situation.
"Overhear!" a voice from the distance shouted.
Diend turned around and on the otherside of the building was a Pro Hero with two work interns with them. It was a large man in a suit with four arms. His lower jaw had a metal cast over it. Behind him were Kirishima and Tetsutetsu following behind him.
"We heard a report of a fight breaking out between three costumed individuals!" the Pro Hero shouted.
"Is it a fight between Pros and villains, sir?!" Tetsutesu shouted.
"Not sure, but we'll have to assist them if needed!" the Pro Hero said. "Alright, boys, this is a chance to show me what you're made of!"
The Pro Hero and his two trainees turned the corner to see Den-O slowly getting up as Buffa and Na-Go on the hole in the wall created by the latter's attack. Den-O turned to the new arrivals.
"Kirishima!?" Den-O exclaimed. Na-Go and Buffa disappeared without his notice.
Diend scoffed as an Aurora Curtain appeared behind him. He said, "Consider yourself lucky, Decade."
"Can't reveal myself to the others yet," Diend said as he turned around and walked into a portal.
"Wait, Kimura is that you?!"
"You know him?" the Pro Hero asked.
"Yeah, he's a classmate! What're you doing out here?" Kirishima asked. "Shouldn't you be with Kamui Woods?"
Den-O turned to the hole in the wall to see Buffa and Na-Go gone. He stood up and said, "I was… pulled away and attacked."
"Attacked?!" Kirishima exclaimed as ran up to Den-O in a panicked expression. "By who?! The same scumbags who attacked UA?!"
"No," Kazuhiro said. He took a moment to pause and said, "By some deranged guys who wanted to take out the winner of the Sports Festival."
"That's insane!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Tch, so you're saying you were outnumbered?" Tetsutetsu asked.
Den-O nodded and said, "Yeah."
"What cowards! To kidnap you and force you to fight all by yourself while outnumbered!" Tetsutetsu said. "Although, fighting against multiple villains at the same time shows how much more manlier you are over them!"
"Alright! No need to get so riled up! The fight's over," the Pro Hero exclaimed. "Name's Fourth Kind. Let's take you to the police station and contact the agency you're interning."
Den-O nodded before pulling on his belt buckle, undoing the transformation.
Aizawa arrived at the police station an hour later after Kazuhiro was being held. The police officer walked down the hallway with him, taking him to where they were holding him. While he isn't placed under arrest, Kazuhiro is only in there for his safety. Since Kazuhiro requested him, Aizawa knew that this must be serious.
As he walked down the hallway, the Erasure Hero spotted Kamui Woods. The two made brief eye contact which prompted the Arbor Hero to speak up. He said, "You must be his teacher. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Kamui Woods extended his hand. The reclusive teacher didn't return the gesture and said, "Did he tell you anything?"
Kamui pulled back his hand, understanding Aizawa's serious, straightforward nature.
"Kimura told me that he was attacked by a few fanboys from the Sports Festival. He wanted to talk to you in person about what to do next," Kamui said. He bowed and said, "I'm sorry that I wasn't there to protect him."
"It's fine, that situation was out of your control. No one couldn't foresee such an attack," Aizawa said to reassure the Arbor Hero.
"Of course, I just can't help but feel responsible."
"Don't worry about it. Kimura managed to walk away from this situation relatively unscathed," Aizawa said before he entered the room holding Kimura.
Kazuhiro was sitting on a couch, drinking some coffee. He turned to Aizawa as he entered the room.
"Aizawa, sir!" Kazuhiro said as he put down his coffee and stood up.
"I heard you wanted to talk to me," Aizawa said as he approached a chair and sat on it.
"Yeah," Kazuhiro said as he sat down. "It's about who attacked me."
"Was it Hundred or that Narutaki fellow?" Aizawa asked.
"The one from the Sports Festival, the one who shot my hand," Kazuhiro said.
"I see, and what was the reason for his kidnapping and attacking you?"
"Another test to "keep me on edge"."
"Keeping you on edge?"
Kazuhiro nodded and said, "His name was Daiki Kaito, who comes by the identity as Kamen Rider Diend. His powers almost work the same as mine as we both use the power of other Kamen Riders.
"Almost? What's the difference?"
"He summons these Riders rather than transforming into them. Diend just sent in one Kamen Rider and once I defeated him he summoned two more. Not only that, but eh can summon Aurora Curtains, which are portals that can him anywhere."
"That explains how you were attacked by multiple assailants and how he managed to whisk you away,"
Aizawa pinched his nose in frustration and said, "I wish these associates of Decade weren't so elusive. If we want to ensure that you're ready for the attack from Hundred, we need everyone's cooperation."
"If you wished to meet, you should've said so," Daiki said as an Aurora Curtain formed alongside the wall and moved, revealing Daiki leaning against it. Aizawa immediately jumped out of his chair and grabbed his scarf. Daiki kicked off the wall and said, "Easy, I come in peace."
"If you were here in peace, you wouldn't have kidnapped my student and endangered him," Aizawa said.
"Says the teacher who sends giant robots at their students during a Sports Festival," Daiki scoffed.
Aizawa groaned as he rewraps the capture weapons around his neck.
'So, now that we're finally meeting face to face, what do you exactly want with me?"
"Well, if you've been eavesdropping you'd know that I want your cooperation in training Kazuhiro instead of these careless kidnappings."
"It's not my fault I want the best out of Decade. He isn't going to learn much by playing pretend in one of your simulations," Daiki said, "The only way he'll be prepared is if he's in real combat. Not against some common street thug but an actual, well-equipped fighter."
"And you think you can provide that?"
"Better that it's me than some heroes who live in a society that coddles them like some star athletes."
Aizawa narrowed his eyes and said, "I wouldn't make a broad assumption on a world you don't live in."
"Look, we're not here to argue who's had it worst here, right?" Kazuhiro said. "We both want to prepare for Hundred's arrival, and this type of conversation isn't helping us get any closer."
"He has a point," Aizawa said. "While I appreciate your sentiment, I can't have you take away my student whenever you want. It adds complications and involves those who are not familiar with his predicament. "
"Fair enough, I suppose," Daiki said.
"Although, you are more than welcome to watch his training on the side and even have private sessions while under UA's supervision," Aizawa said.
"Fine, since this is your world, I'll play by your world's rules," Daiki said. "But don't expect me to be 100% cooperative with you with your rules. If I disagree with them in the slightest, I'll bend them to see fit."
"And do you expect us to be just let you bend them?"
"That's one of the consequences of working with us Kamen Riders. There are no rules or procedures when it comes to saving lives. We just do it," Daiki said as he turned around. He pulled out a little note and put it on the table. It's the phone number he's using in this world. "I'll be keeping an eye on you."
Aizawa groaned and said, "I know you're both Kamen Riders but please don't use his attitude as permission to act the way he is."
'Of course not," Kazuhiro nodded. He asked, "What now?"
"Well, you made a report that pinned the blame on this "kidnapping" on some deranged fanboy from the Sports Festival. So the cover story is already made. For now, with the hopes of Diend not stepping in again, continue your work studies."
Kazuhiro nodded. With Diend now making his presence known to the world, Kazuhiro can't help but wonder how things will change.
Author's Corner
Sorry for the massive delay, university got in the way. Prioritizing that above all else at the moment. I managed to pump so many chapters because I wrote so many in the span of vacation. So, a good bulk of chapters won't start until my next vacation. Until then, I will write each chapter more passively until December and then release them again in weekly bulks. I think I might post a behind-the-scenes chapter sometime in between. Something to break down each chapter and answer questions. Just to give ya'll something occupied. So please, leave ask questions that are NOT RELATED TO FUTURE CHAPTERS. Thank you!
Response corner
IzukuIchimonji (from chapter 16): That wasn't Ace, that was supposed to Diend. I can see the confusion since I did put in the Rider Cards based on the Geats characters.
BetterKYS (from chapter 16): I already teased that a pair of rider villains appeared in the last chapter. So expect them to pull off something in this world.
SkylanderRanger (from chapter 16): That is my fault. Life got in the way.
Nickle2bird (from chapter 16): Seeing how summoning is Diend's thing, I'm thinking of Decade being able to instantly transform into other Rider forms as his "power-up".
Guest (from chapter 16): I wouldn't put a Hundred-LoV alliance until much later into the story Not until things are downhill for the latter.
