Prompt: "Unfortunately, there's no way we can do this."

"Fortunately, you're wrong."

"How do you think they're doing in Boston?"

Ra sighed as she looked up from her desk on the other side of the door from Flynn/Baird's desk in the Annex's main workroom. "Jenkins, that is the third time that you've asked me that question since the four of them left. There is this wonderful invention called the telephone that you can use to check on them if you so wish. I know that you have multiple variations of them around the Annex."

Jenkins didn't have time to do more than glare at the Archivist when the phone currently sitting on his table began to ring. Ra just smiled as she made her way over to him as he answered. "Yes?"
Baird's voice filtered through as the Archivist leaned on the table to listen in. "Jenkins, quick question. Any chance that someone could have recreated the Minotaur's labyrinth in a skyscraper in Boston?"

"Goodness, no." Ra raised an eyebrow as he continued speaking. Don't be absurd. Even assuming you had enough power, you would need a magnificent collection of ancient Minoan artifacts to focus it."

Ra just shook her head. "Let me guess. You sent the Librarians into the Labyrinth alone to keep them safe."

"Maybe."

Jenkins looked thoughtful at that. "I will say that I'm impressed. We've had guardians lose librarians in the past, of course, but never three in one day. It will be quite sometime before anyone beats that."

"So, how do we get them out?"
"You don't, Colonel. It's a labyrinth. The whole point is you can't get out."

"Well, what about your magic back door? Can't you open that inside the labyrinth?"
Jenkins was beginning to sound indignant. "Colonel, I told you, I was lucky that we found Boston. I cannot pinpoint them in the maze. So, unfortunately, there's not way we can do that."

Ra rolled her eyes. "And fortunately, you are wrong. You're forgetting about the symbolic representation."

Jenkins narrowed his eyes at the Archivist. "The Labyrinth isn't just a maze. It is a magic maze. It exists in more than three dimensions. And you know that I seriously doubt? Putting an extradimensional hole in a multidimensional space is a very good idea."

Baird sounded just as annoyed as Ra felt as she rang off. "That was not a request."
